  1. Marie's confusion didn't seem to clear up as Randy tried to explain what was going on. This confusion, however, let up as Nani had described what had happened with Keanu being afraid of ghost stories. At this moment, Marie had felt as if she had just learned a dangerous secret of the Pikachu's and while many a stories the girl could think of starting to go through her head. "Oh? Is that all? I didn't think you'd be the kind to be so jumpy." Putting a finger to her chin, the girl seemed to have a smile on her face as she said, "how cute." Well, it wasn't as if she was going to use this information for anything...so long as she wasn't given a reason to, at least. Sitting down with the others, the girl looked to the Pikachu as he made his comment saying, "well, Trevor's place is a bit of a walk to get to. Then, we just kind of talked." The girl looked around saying, "this town really is something else, don't you think guys?"
  2. Looking back to Shiro the girl nodded saying, "okay, I can do that!" As Penelope had then congratulated the group, Tsetseg's face brightened with a prideful smile as she got up off of her knees on the ground to standing back up. Walking through the house, and tip toeing past the red liquid that was across the ground the girl then looked to Shiro again as he was standing at the door. With a thumbs up as if to indicate that she definitely had this under control, the girl placed the key into the lock. As the girl had felt like in a past life, or maybe even her current life but different, that she was great with locks, there was no way she could possibly lose against this door lock. And her confidence was answered, as she turned the key, and unsurprisingly it unlocked the door. With a look of pride on her face, and then smiling brightly she nodded excitedly at the frog protean. Shouting to the others, the girl exclaimed, "it opened!" Walking down the stairs, the girl found herself in a dark cellar, lit only by a few lamps shining in the room. As she slowly walked down the stairs, the girl looked around the room, marveling at all of the different kinds of food and smells that seemed to be down here. Walking around the the room, the girl eventually saw behind the staircase a strange furry creature in the corner of the room. As she walked towards it, and crouched down, it became apparent that the furry creature was none other than a rat that was just sitting there. Unfazed, the girl smiled and said, "hello hello there little guy. What're you doing down here?" Alois meanwhile had merely watched the young archer go about her business before turning back to Cat. With a smile on his face, he said, "oh no, I've got this all under control." Raising his axe, the boy brought the axe down with half strength as he struck the lid of the crate. The crate's lid didn't seem to be particularly sturdy, and as a result Alois managed to break through it easily. Thankfully, as well, he hadn't put his all into the swing, and so he had managed to stop his axe blade just short of cleaving through a collection of papers that were stored inside. Raising an eyebrow at this, Alois merely said, "now what's this here?" Picking up the papers, the boy began to look through them. His attention was briefly distracted by Penelope's comment, feeling something off with it. However, before he could think any more on it, he noticed something greatly off about the papers in his hand. The papers themselves just seemed to be a manual of sort of trial, which then ended with a ritual to achieve a title. While the boy was confused by the unfamiliar terms, his eyes went wide as he looked at the list of names that seemed to be at the end of this document. Turning around, papers in hand, the boy walked over to Cora and her friendly beaver. "Well, you only need one to see this." Placing the manual on the trials and ritual known as the Awakening the boy said, "so, Cora, Acantha," his eyes seemed more focused on the beaver then the girl. "You two wouldn't happen to know what a Caller is, would you?"
  3. Beginning to step through the cave, Nine was soon stopped as the legend had issued a warning to them. With his hands in his pocket, Nine looked behind to at first see nothing there. However, soon enough, as if he suddenly started to slowly slip into and exist within reality, a Banette had appeared before them. His entrance aside, Nine could already tell something was off with the man who had appeared before them. And the more he talked, the more he felt something absolutely sinister stewing within the Banette before him. As he finished his introductions, Nine was left frozen as the man had effortlessly changed the scenery around them - Shaymin no longer being alongside them. Looking at Raphael, Nine felt something he hadn't for quite some time. A pinging in the back of his head that made every hair on his body stand on end as the demonic figure looked at them. Fear. His hand trembling, Nine could tell that this man was something else. Something terrifying. Something that made him feel as though he needed to escape from here as fast as possible. He couldn't help but feel as though this was the worst possible situation to be in. No godslayer could match up to him. Even legends, though they had a different bearing he still was simply as imposing. Nine had always thought that a Disciple was the worst possible opponent he could ever face off against, and even then there was something different about him. Both Kushiel and Azriel had a calm, yet forceful air about them. Their presence commanded order and respect, completely eclipsing anything else in the same room as them. Raphael, however, had an almost suffocating aura of chaos and malevolence about him. It wasn't as though his presence eclipsed everything around him, but rather threatened to tear apart anything that got close. Looking at the foe before him, though, recognizing him again to be a disciple, Nine's hand stopped trembling for a moment. Perhaps it was something within his blood, something fundamentally wrong with him that made him feel something else. It wasn't as though the fear was gone, but rather paired and in tandem with an almost paradoxically complimenting emotion. His stunned expression slowly changing to a small smile, the Houndoom knew he simply had to take things one step at a time. That he had to simply go to the basics of how he fought everyone he had ever come across in this journey. And the first step was the same as always. Conversation. "Now, now, I don't think I really want to fight you but, well, care to answer a few questions for the soon to be deceased?" "Oh? Questions? For me? Hmmm....Answer, red is my favorite color. So sweet of you to ask." Nine couldn't help but let loose a nervous chuckle as the man answered. "Well, I'm a fire type and we're often seen as the red kind, so I'm sure we'll get along well." Being on guard but still seeming amiable he'll say, "just to make it clear, you're Giratina's Disciple. Which means, that after all your traveling as a Chaser, Giratina chose you. Correct?" Raphael sat down on the edge of the coffin, kicking his legs, swaying side to side. "Travelling? No, no travelling. Those others did that. But not me. Giratina never got the chance to do things like that. I just killed soooo many people that they decided I would be the one they whisper to." Nine paused for a moment, slightly raising an eyebrow before going back to his smile. "Oh? Well, sorry for presuming otherwise, but congratulations. You must feel truly blessed to simply be chosen. But, well, I'm curious you see. Amongst all of those people you killed, were any of the legends?" "Not yeeeet." Raphael giggled. Nine felt a sense of relief wash over him at this. He was a disciple. But he had never done his journey as a Chaser. And he had never slain a legend before - likely meaning he had either never met one or never defeated one. Nine had no idea where this sense of relief had come from. It wasn't as though he was any less terrifying an individual. It wasn't as though the foe before him looked any weaker. Relief may not have even been the best word to describe it. Yet, there was something about it that calmed his nerves. And something that bolstered his resolve even further. As this indescribable sensation overcame him, he couldn't help but smile more pleasantly at this. "I see, I see. Well, then fret not. When I meet him, I will be sure to converse with just as I would any other legend, godslayer, disciple or common folk." "Hmmmm?" His head tilted to the side, his mouth smiled wider than should be possible, and he let out a growl. "You won't see anyone. But if you're lucky you'll see some of your insides before you die." Nine felt a sudden rush of pain overcome him as the Banette growled. As the Banette winced, Nine as well suddenly understood what this now familiar sensation of pain was as he started to feel a curse eat away at him from the inside. "No, that's not right, you are supposed to hurt even more...here, have this too." Clutching his chest, Nine then felt a sudden pain rush through him as Raphael seemed to feel better, from his own self inflicted pain. Without any words to accompany it, Nine simply waved his hand and let loose a dark pulse almost immediately as the pain was beset upon him. Chuckling a bit to himself as he winced in pain the boy said, "see, if you had come to me any other time, I may have despaired. But I'm a Chaser, and your legend is the last one I need to meet before I finally finish my challenge. With the finish line so close, even if you were Arceus's disciple I don't think I could stand to lose. And besides that, I have a reason far greater for defeating your master than even that." Raphael, however, didn't seem to bother avoiding the attack. In fact, he instead flipped off the coffin, taking the blow head on before flipping back onto the coffin. As he did, still smiling, Nine felt a different sensation of pain rush through his head. "I see why you wanted to talk. You're. So. Weak." Nine's body felt as though it simply didn't want to use dark pulse anymore, less that he couldn't and more that it simply didn't wish to repeat the same attacks over and over. Letting out another pained chuckle as things turned from bad to worse for him. "Of course. Everyone I've ever stood against has stood on a mountain, far too high for me to see the peak of. So in the face of them." Nine began to ran towards the disciple, sending a rush of flames from his hand towards him. "What else can I hope to do but what I know I'm good at?" With nominal effort, Raphael merely launched a shadow ball through his flames. Knowing that there was no way he'd win in a head on clash, Nine stopped his attack and deftly rolled to the side to avoid the attack. Summoning a smaller flame in his palm he said, "so, I hope you'll have fun conversing with a weakling like me." Crushing the flame in his hand, Nine was enveloped in a glowing aura of sunlight, feeling the healing properties of his aura fight the eating feeling of the curse within.
  4. As she chanted her verse yet again, allowing Ada to move yet again, Edda looked to the girl as she thanked her. Seeming uncomfortable by it, but still returning a thumbs up with a weaker smile all the same she said, "um...yeah. Don't uh, mention it, yeah." With most of the monsters either being not immediately within striking distance, or having just come up from the ground but seeming like they've missed their cue and simply decided to stand there, the group seemed to earn a somewhat respite. Or, at least that is how the group thought things were going. Alexis was quite correct in assuming the monster didn't quite understand her taunting. In fact, it didn't even seem to pay any mind to her provocation nor the fact that she had just slain one of the zombies near it. Instead, with lance in hand, it charged the young Jouran girl in the thickets. Stabbing at the girl, Edda had no way to really dodge the attack and simply put her arms up to defend against it. The lance, while striking true, didn't so much as pierce the girl's arm as it simply pressed against it and the point of the spear dragged itself along her forearm, creating a long cut. Gritting her teeth in pain, the girl swung her blade forth in retaliation, though quite like her last foe, the strike only seemed to tear off a small amount of rotted flesh without really slowing the creature down at all. Further to the west of the battlefield, Raynor and the lance wielding zombie were in the midst of their showdown. Pulling its lance out of Raynor as the man dislodged his lance from the zombie. As if a mirror of their last clash, the two then stabbed at each other yet again. As both attacks struck true yet again, the two had suffered stab wounds, and while they had managed to dislodge their weapons again from their target, this time it had resulted in a different ending. The zombie, letting go of his weapon, slumped down onto the ground as it fell to the grass, lifeless once again. While Raynor had been victorious, his victory was short lived. While the man was rightly confident to believe that he could take two of the zombies, the tree and darkness had served to obstruct his view. As such, he would be surprised as the from beyond the corner a zombie wielding an axe came into view. Groaning, and walking past the sword wielding zombie, the newcomer raised his blade as he struck down on both of the rider and his mount, sending them both to the ground. Motionless. Staring at them, wide eyed, Leon simply shouted, "Raynor!" Looking at both the Jouran and the his mount, Leon couldn't quite tell what their condition was but "bad" was a perfectly suitable word for it. As the sword wielding zombie walked passed the now downed Jouran, not at all interested in him, it then went to strike at the only thing in its path it could. Raising up his shield, Leon blocked the sword swing of the zombie, though winced in pain as the heavy swing of the creature pushed through his guard and slashed into his torso. Still standing fine on his feet, the young falcon leader retaliated and cleaved through part of the zombie's flesh, taking a large chunk of it away. While it was still standing, it was now the least of Leon's worries. Looking back to Layne he said, "don't worry, I'll handle the zombie over there and keep him safe. Make sure to keep everyone else healthy." Looking to the rest of the group he said, "keeping pressing forward to the phantom!"
  5. Jacklyn pouted as the two made their protests against her taking the picture. Looking at them she said, "listen. We're on an adventure! And it's fine to just take in the scenery and keep going along, but taking pictures is important! After all, when an adventure is done, you want to remember everything you did no matter how small! So pictures of all things are important!" Looking to the side, and hiding her camera under the table, the girl muttered, "by I'll keep the flash off." Looking at the menu herself, the girl began to try and ponder what it was that she wanted. As she did, the waiter had come over, a young adult male devoid of any feature that made him stand out bar his uniform. The uniform itself seemed to be a plain white t-shirt and khakis, with an apron that had a Skrelp embroidered onto it that was on fire. While Jacklyn was unsure if the fire was actually real or not, she could feel real heat coming from the man's presence, though he didn't seem to pay any mind to it. "So, what can I get for you all tonight?" Looking at the menu, the girl said, "well, I guess I'll just get the Kelp Flambe and some...Kelp Water?" "Certainly!" With a peppy smile, the boy looked to the others and took their order as well. When all was said and done, he closed his notebook and said, "got it all. I'll be right back with your orders, so just hang tight!" As he left, the girl was still befuddled by the man, she looked to the others. "Anyway, the point is we're supposed to keep track of all of our memories. But," eagerly she looked to the others saying, "it's also important to have goals and sights you want to go see. So when you get there it's all the more impressive. Like a big "uwaaaah" moment!" Pulling out the map of the region the girl placed it on the table saying, "how about we make a wishlist of things to do or see?"
  6. Though there were wounds in her body, the girl stood firm and steadfast, knowing that the heavy load of her work had almost been complete. With only two of the five gnolls remaining, the girl was feeling more confident in her odds of success and prepared herself to meet them head on yet again. However, her eyes went wide with shock as someone had appeared right behind one of the gnolls she had been fighting. Seeing the chosen of wind bring her scimitar down on the creature, That she hadn't killed the enemy, though, was the least of her issues. Why was she here suddenly? Ryia figured that it must've been some kind of magic, but that didn't matter much. She couldn't help but wonder why she had decided to help her. Though the sentiment might've been appreciated, Ryia couldn't quite condone it. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Lindow and Reinaan were still fighting gnolls of their own, which meant they, Geoff and Keres weren't safe yet. As a result, the wind chosen appearing before her now meant that she wasn't helping them. And that she had opted for a more dangerous approach here, meant that she was only endangering herself to aid Ryia as well. As a sudden surge of guilt began to build up within the girl, this only seemed to grow more as the gnoll leader began to make his charge atop his dreaded beast. With Pyrrha getting struck by an arrow from the man, the girl's eyes went wide with panic as he made his way to double team her alongside the gnoll she had attacked. Shouting, "Pyrrha, get away!" The girl paid little attention to her own safety, stomping her foot on the ground and forcing a wall of earth to shoot out of the ground and block the gnoll leader's attack against the girl. As a result, Ryia felt yet another sharp pain course through her as her panicked eyes darted towards the culprit. She didn't seem to register the pain that much, as instead adrenaline seemed to be pumping through her much faster than before. She had to make sure the others were safe, and had to keep Pyrrha safe from the three enemies now around her. And this gnoll was only getting in the way of that. As he swung back again with his axe, the girl stopped it with her shield. Tired of being blocked, the gnoll then reached out with his other arm, grabbing onto the girl's shield and yanking it. Though he pulled her closer, the girl's grip on her shield remained firm and she herself began to go on the offensive. With scimitar in hand, the girl went to slash at the gnoll, only for his axe arm to get in the way and take the blade instead. As the beast howled in bed, the girl took this as an opportunity to press forward, shoving her whole body into the chest of the gnoll and knocking him off of his feet. Laying prone there, the girl slashed at him once, causing a large gash to appear across his chest. However, still alive, the gnoll tightened his grip on his hand axe. Bringing her own blade up overhead, Ryia plunged the sword downward as the gnoll began to slash at her once again. Unfortunately for the creature, the girl was faster and proved too much as her blade sunk into his arm and pushed it further down into his chest. With one final gasp, the gnoll breathed its last, allowing the girl to stand back upright again. Before her were two gnolls and a warg. The gnolls were a problem themselves, but she had known that the wolf-like beast before her was a dangerous predator in its own right. Glaring at the beast, who itself seemed to be observing the action, the girl prepared herself for whatever it was plotting. Though her breath was ragged and posture unsteady, and she was unsure herself how many more injuries she could sustain, she was not about to let herself falter at this moment.
  7. Nine was glad to see that Shaymin was now resolved to go aid them in their quest, and with that out of the way, the group had decided to break for the moment. Nine, being a stranger, didn't really have anywhere to go and so he simply stood around with Shaymin and Kayla, awaiting what was to happen next. Once the time had passed and the group reconvened again, Nine began to walk with the others to the mouth of the cave. As he made his way there, though his curiosity drove him further, he seemed to no longer be able to proceed forward. It wasn't as though there was something stopping him from entering, merely, no matter how much he wanted to proceed he couldn't really muster the ability to step forward. Stepping back as Shaymin stepped forward, signaling that it was her turn here, Nine merely watched as the girl proceeded to do her thing. Though he was curious as to what she was doing, Nine turned away and covered his eyes as the blinding light of the barrier began to shine greater and greater around them. Once it was over and done with, even though the light was gone it still took a few moments for Nine's vision to return to him. Seeing spots in his vision, the Houndoom could only see one thing quite clearly near the cave's entrance. And it was the breath taking view of the legend before him, standing gracefully before the barrier she had just destroyed. While Nine was left speechless, this passed swiftly as the serene feeling was replaced with one of an intense pressure. A feeling of dread washed over him, and his nerves told him that it was likely best to back away from this cavern. However, as both a chaser and a friend he had a job to get done. Smiling as Lok made his comment, the Houndoom said, "right on the money there Lok. What's done is done now, and so the only way is forward. No matter how scary or frightening it might be, this is what we came here to do." And with that, Nine stepped forward into the cavern, ushering the others to follow as she did so. Marie furrowed her brow at Randy's comment. With a hand to her chin, the girl said, "wanting to be top dog huh?" As he continued to explain other reasons they could've tried to been fighting all the time, Marie kept tapping her chin with a, "hmmmmm...." Shaking her head she said, "well, I don't think that's really it. Maybe...maybe they were born with it but...well...It's almost like they're having fun, you know?" Frowning a bit she said, "I'm not saying I really like it, or that I really condone fighting but. It's like different from being a bully, like Blake or Allie was, or Yveltal." Looking around at the locals partying about she said, "they aren't fighting to kill or steal, and they don't hold any grudges or anything. It's like a game or...maybe it's just something simpler then that. I don't know." Seeming to confuse herself the girl eventually said, "I don't like fighting but if it had to exist, then I wish everyone wasn't so mean about it, and could just have fun or something." Marie sighed, not being able to come to a satisfying conclusion herself and simply having to accept Trailsau for what it was. Looking forward, the girl eventually saw her other two teammates and said, "oh, look Randy." Pointing at them, the girl then hurried over saying, "hey Nani, Keanu." Looking at them, the girl saw the somewhat nervous expression of the Pikachu, and looked back and forth between the two of them. "Is everything alright?"
  8. Alois snickered as the beaver opened the door from the inside, saying, "and I thought I was suppose to be the troublemaker here. But it looks like you've got it in you yet." Walking through the door, Alois couldn't help but go from his usual grin to once again seeming more annoyed. It was easy enough to tell from looking outside at the building's size that it was a house that was different from the rest. However, between the shelves of books he had, expensive furniture and actual flooring, it was clear that the Mayor held himself to a higher standard of comfort than he did the rest of the town. And seeing someone live as lavishly as he did in a town as suffocating as this, only pissed him off further. As the group began to fan out and look around the building, Alois stopped by the table as well, looking at it as Cora did. Seeing the food still laying about on the table, Alois looked up as the younger princess began to give her findings. Shrugging, Alois said, "well, whatever he was trying to warn someone about must've come sooner than he was expecting." Walking past the table, Alois looked at the crate for a moment. Attempting to open it, the boy pulled on the lid a bit, though curiously the box was bolted shut and thus the lid gave no way to his efforts. Raising an eyebrow at the crate, Alois thought it suspicious that the man would seal the box in a way that not even he himself would be able to open it. Which meant that whatever was in there, he didn't want ever coming out. Sliding the axe out of his sheath and into his hand, the boy held it up and looked to the others. "This crate won't budge. But, well, I think I can open it another w-" "Awaoow!" Thud. The boy's attention was drawn to the Locrisian girl now sprawled across the ground, face planted into the floor. "Ow, ow." Getting onto her hands and knees, using one hand to rub her now stinging face, the girl seemed quite annoyed. For her part, since walking inside the house, Tsetseg had more marveled at the place than anything else. Her eyes had trailed every which way. First to the food that was left lying around, thinking it was wasteful to just leave food lying around that you weren't going to use. Then, to the books - she couldn't help but wonder how smart someone had to have been to read that many books - and then to the chairs near the books. While she was lost in thought, thinking of how nice something like that must've felt to sit down in, she was not paying attention to where she was walking. And as such, was taken by surprise as her foot seemed to get caught on something and she herself was sent forward. Finally, now back upright, the girl looked to see the culprit was none other than a loose floorboard on the ground. Frowning, upset, the girl simply said, "dumb floor." As she was about to get up, though, she couldn't help but feel like something caught her eye underneath the board. As being driven by nothing more than curiosity, Tsetseg crouched further down and reached her hand underneath. Moving it around a bit, the girl eventually touched something colder than the rest of the ground around it. Palming at it, the girl eventually grabbed what was underneath the floor board and presented it to everyone. "Guys, guys, look, look! I found something!" Showing the rest of the group a metal key, the girl then looked back to her new found treasure saying, "I wonder what it's for."
  9. As Ross began to make her way through the town, the girl eventually found her way to the athletic center. Without very much issue, Ross found her way to an empty track. Making her sure her shoes were on tight, the girl simply tapped her foot on the ground a few times before beginning to go for a jog. Though she could've gone for a jog anywhere, simply running about a crowded city this early in the morning seemed counter productive to that. Instead, here, at the track, she felt more at ease and able to more clearly process just what was going on in her life. Or, rather, she was able to help reset herself, and not think about anything as she just kept jogging. Just trying to keep steady to a routine that she had from home, the girl found her run stopped short. Not because of anything happening - the track itself was still rather calm. Instead, the girl was reminded of some business she had meant to take care of yesterday. Pain starting to form in her head, the girl was beset with an all too familiar headache. Though it hadn't been long since her last intake, the girl knew that the throbbing in her head was telling her that she was certainly overdue. Deciding that she needed to take care of business that she meant to yesterday, Ross made her way over to the hospital. Once in there, the girl walked to the receptionist desk and looked at the nurse there. "Excuse me," the girl started. She wasn't entirely sure how to continue, never really having checked into a hospital by herself before nor knowing who she was actually seeing. "Hey um, new here, but I think I have an appointment with a doctor today." The woman at the desk gave her an annoyed look. "Name?" Ross raised an eyebrow at the woman, though figured she probably dealt with an uncomfortably large amount of people on a daily basis. As such, the girl went to answer, but as she did she realized that she was in a hospital. And thus she would likely have to use her full name. Embarrassed, the girl simply said, "Rozalin.....Rozalin Williams." The woman didn't seem to mind though, and instead kept checking the screen simply saying a practiced line of, "Insurance?" "I uh..." The girl didn't really know what to say here. Even if she were still on Earth she wouldn't have known what to say. But work gave benefits right? So, Ross figured that if she just mentioned her employers name they could probably find something? "Well, I'm here on recommendation from my employer, Mauvache. Does she have anything set up?" The woman froze in the middle of searching, and suddenly responded to Ross with far more energy in her voice. "Oh...Oh I see! I, um, I'm sorry, we'll get you checked in right away. Take a seat someone will be around to bring you to a room where the doctor will meet with you." "Alright?" Confused by the woman's sudden shift in tone, Ross simply took a seat, awaiting her call in. It wouldn't take long before a smiling and cheerful nurse came to get Ross and escorted her through a doorway. "This way dear this way. We don't need to check any of your vitals all of that is recorded already. Just need to get you set up in the room." The woman brought her through an open door into a small room and indicated her to take a seat. "Dr Akoola will be here shortly. Oh you'll just love him. Such a charming man." Sitting down, Ross wasn't entirely sure how to feel about apparently already being entirely on record. Though, she couldn't help but think of the past doctors she had experienced as the woman gave her next comment. "Well, I suppose there's a first time for everything." "Don't worry about a thing. Just don't get too close to him you'll make the nurses jealous." The nurse gave a small laugh before leaving. After a while the doctor came in, shaking his head as he saw Ross. "I didn't become a doctor to be the personal healer of Mauvache's employees you know. How many of you are gonna need my help?" He then simply gave a smile to the girl. As the doctor entered, Ross couldn't help but smell something strange. She wasn't quite sure what it was, but there was definitely an off-ness coming from the man as soon as he had entered the room. Though she was sure it was not at all that of a demon, she certainly felt as though he didn't smell entirely human either. All the same, furrowing her brow at the moment, and simply responding to the doctor in kind she said, "well, thankfully I'm not hurt. I'm just here to pick up a certain item for my uh, diet." "Yes, so I hear." The doctor's face turned grim. "That woman really does ask a lot of me. But I was able to find something that might be suitable." He then took, from under his coat, several vials of blood and handed them to her. "Try these." Looking at the first vial, the girl inspected it, unsure of what to make of the blood vial. All the same, opening it up, she shrugged and simply went to down the liquid. As she began to swallow it, though, she felt a burning sensation go through her throat. Coughing up what remained in her mouth, the girl looked up to the doctor. "I - I don't think that was the one." "Hm. I see you're a messy eater." the doctor took notes. Handing her a second vial, Ross then drank from it, only to feel very strange all of a sudden. As if she was suddenly exhausted, and her senses numbed a bit, the girl found it suddenly pretty hard to balance in her own seat and started to sway around a bit. "Not....not really sure if that's the one either...well, head feels better? Better?" The girl repeated herself, wondering if she did in fact feel better. Though her headache seemed to have calmed down, she wasn't sure if it was because it worked or because she felt much more numb then before. Though, it didn't hurt as much, so she nodded. "Better." Looking at the doctor, she inspect the man before her, now looking at him more carefully and just casually blurting out, "you do have a pretty face." "Yes, so I'm told." The doctor says with some amusement and then takes more notes. "Alright, try the next one." Before the girl even sipped the next one, the acrid and foul smell from the vial seemed to snap her back a bit. Looking at it warily, she looked back to the doctor. "Are you sure this is safe?" "Not in the slightest." As the man had a smile on his face and Ross's decision making skills were not at their pique, she figured that nothing bad was likely to happen. So, just going for a small amount, the girl took a small taste of the liquid. The girl was staring at the ceiling. She hadn't been before. In fact, she had been sitting down. And now she was on a bed. Blinking a bit, dark spots temproarily in her vision, the girl looked at her watch to see that it was an hour ahead of when she last remembered. "What in the-," confused, the girl remembered the strange vial she drank from and shook her head. "Right." Sitting back up, Ross looked over to the Doctor, who she now noticed was beside her. The man himself had a sheepish look on his face. "Yeah, not that one then." He then offered her one more. "You up for another try?" Sighing as the girl put her palm to her face, she said, "well, I've got nothing to do until match start, so..." Grabbing the vial, the girl took one more drink, this time feeling a familiar sense of warmth, followed by a chill and then that too had passed. Her headache seeming to have vanished almost instantly, the girl said, "well, it's certainly a nostalgic flavor. I think it'll work though. Thanks Doc." "Ah, good, I wasn't looking forward to having to obtain more of the next one. Not ideal still but I suppose it'll do. And no need to thank me. I'm just doing my job. Well, no, I guess this is above and beyond. So you're welcome, just don't get in any trouble and make me patch you up." With a smile on her face she said, "well, I'll only get into as much trouble as the job entails." Getting out of bed, the girl looked to the doctor asking, "So if I need a uh, refill, should I just come back here?" With the doctor nodding, stating that he could also make a house call if need be, Ross simply said, "well, I need the exercise, so I'll be back later. Thanks again Doc." With that, Ross left the hospital, only to suddenly feel her wrist vibrate. Looking down at it, she saw that she had a message from Morgan. Raising an eyebrow and letting out a small chortle, Ross couldn't help but be amused by the girl's response. Well, she was certainly on no shortage of confidence as well. Seeing the next message after, Ross couldn't help but smile and message back asking where to go. Once she got her response, Ross managed to find her way to over to the cafe Morgan had been at. Sitting down across from the girl, the girl let out a sigh of relief. "Hey there, I've had a crazy morning so far. How about you?"
  10. I mean Camelot and Babylon are the best so there's no real dispute on an "if.' But if I had to chose one of the other five, probably Okeanos. It's been forever since i last played Orleans so I can't remember what happened in it at all. Septem was kind of boring most of the way through. I didn't think it was particularly bad, just not incredibly interesting. London was also kind of boring in the beginning and while things picked up in the second half it also stopped making sense entirely. And I think America was probably my least favorite? It was way too long, Rama's thing was honestly mostly filler and what was there wasn't terribly interesting either. The ending was pretty cool though, and I can't hate on the presi-king. So, really, by process of elimination that just leaves Okeanos. And while the first half of it has Blackbeard who I've said my piece on, I still think it was pretty solid all the way through.
  11. Stella couldn't help but agree with her friend, finding it a bit amusing as Vivian spoke up about the other girls, as she herself had just fawned over the actor. Though, she supposed what the girl said was true. After all, she probably wouldn't be able to contain herself that well if a famous author she followed was around. All the same, she figured it was best to start leaving the area, the girl not at all comfortable with the hostility that was directed towards Kelsey and by extension the rest of them. As Kelsey answered her question, the girl smiled, beginning to walk away from the area and hoping the others would follow, saying, "well, even if she is, I'm sure you'll do great." Stella was then momentarily seemed to be paused by Vivian's question, a nervous hint across her face before she simply smiled back at her roommate. "Ah well, um, I'm not all that great. I haven't practiced all that much and when I do I get a bit..." The girl stopped before saying, "well, school is to help us get better right?" Giving a small nervous laugh, the girl merely pivoted the conversation saying, "well, it's our last free day before school starts. So we should probably get going and um...do something...like...get ready for school! I'm sure there's an office supply store somewhere, right?"
  12. Kiyoko was still on guard for whatever antics the wolf before her was going to do. However, the door was soon closed by her roommate as Kiyoko felt a tug on her arm. Looking to see Natsumi begin to pull her away, insisting that they should go back now, Kiyoko merely planted her feet as she was being dragged. As the girl was far more fit then Natsumi, it was fairly easy to stop the girl in her tracks, and gave the other signer a stern look. "Natsumi, this goes well beyond any hunger you may or may not have had and even further beyond our own safety. We are signers, and it is our job to stop beasts such as these whenever the need arises. If we let such a strange creature run amok in our kitchen, then not only may people get hurt, but we'll have no food and everyone will be hungry!" Beginning to drag the girl back towards the door, the girl opened it yet again saying, "besides, even if this is a ghost we're dealing with you have nothing to worry about. Because the both of us can see it, there's no way it could possibly try to eat us." After all, it was only the invisible ones that ate people.
  13. Leon assessed the situation as the falcons were being beset by the monsters on either flank. To their left there was only one zombie coming towards them, and to their right, Alexis was already ready to assist on that end. As such, that just left the cluster that had amassed against them and the single hound within their lines to break through. However, it was a singular hound, and Leon had faith that both Ada and Yue would be able to handle it, especially in light of the archer's prior performance. As such, the boy went on to help their front, drawing his steel sword and slashing at the hound in front of Raynor. While his blade had managed to tear through a good portion of the creature's flesh, it still seemed to ignore the mercenary. Instead, both it and the axe zombie to their flank had begun to strike at Raynor once more. As the hound jump and bit down on Gojira's neck, causing pain through the mount, Raynor had managed to deal a fatal blow with his lance, ending the creature's life. This, however, left him open for the axe wielding zombie to get in a good swing into Raynor's side. The zombie didn't care to bury his axe further and instead just lazily took it out of the Jouran's side before seeming ready to go for round two. Though Ada had managed to fell the zombie in front of her and Rona, the Hound didn't take too kindly to being ignored. Instead, it simply leaped forward and continued to bite down, snarling and raking its teeth through the girl's already injured arm. Meanwhile, ahead of her, both zombies had taken notice to Edda as they started to shamble towards the girl after her strange chant. The first one brought up his axe, attempting to swing towards the girl, only for Edda to stumble to the side and avoid the clumsy axe swing. Then, with sword in hand the girl stabbed into the rotting flesh of the zombie, her face showing anxiety as her attack seemed to hardly be effective. The second zombie, however, had been compelled by an old instinct engraved within it. While Edda seemed to be a beacon for it to strike at, there was yet another living being that it felt compelled to strike at. Coupled with that it was flying, and the archer knew where to go. As the zombie made its way over to Rona, the wyvern rider was soon attacked by a Hound. And while the beastly creature had missed its first bite at the girl, the second one had landed, its fangs sinking through Cormag's scales. This, however, caused the hardly dexterous zombie to miss its shot, the arrow just sailing by Rona's face. When the monsters had finished their assault, though, the phantom hound in the back hardly seemed to want to give the group any rest. Letting out an unearthly howl, echoing through the woods, the group would be able to see more beasts rise from the ground, seeming ready to fight as well. Leon grimaced at this sudden turn, and with steel sword in hand looked towards the zombie that had struck Raynor. With a deft slash, the boy hacked off a limb of the beast followed by yet another to decapitate it. As he did, he turned back to the rest of the group shouting, "everyone, press forward. It doesn't look like this'll end as long as the beast back there is still alive."
  14. Quite like my previous post I'm not going to bother giving these a specific order to which I list them off in because that's just added thought to the even more that I have to write about. And three of these will probably be obvious anyway, but there's a lot less servant that I actively dislike then I like, so excluding them would just make my life that much harder. So. First up is Scheherazade. I'm pretty sure no one likes her and i've already said my bit on it to you before anyway but i might as well say it anyway. On the pros I think she's got a neat enough support kit that adds in some nice stall options and an AoE guts is always cool. I also think her roll in Agartha was pretty neat. Onto the cons. Mechanically, her noble phantasm makes like no sense with her kit...or with her really. She has the second highest HP in the game, has abysmally low attack and is a caster. Her character is centered around not dying and her story is all about the stories she's told and how she evaded said death. So why is her NP an AoE nuke with an NP Strength buff and an even more situation damage buff that has zero utility outside of being an Arts card. Beyond that she's kind of annoying and her personality is very one note. And it does not help that she doesn't shut up about the one note that she has. Also, on a personal level, I think she's got the makings of being really attractive but there's a lot of weird proportions going on with her body that just kind of make everything look off. Second on the list is Oda Nobunaga. I used to dig Nobu for her swank ass design and kind of memey summer animations. I still do, and all of her kits are generally pretty solid too. Since playing the game and going through a singular gudaguda event and summer 2, her looks and kit don't really make up for how terribly I think she's written. In general, I didn't really enjoy the gudaguda event because the writing kind of felt way to lol random xd funny, which is to say it felt like it was trying to be funny way too hard and thus just came off as annoying. And unfortunately, Nobu basically encapsulates that whole issue I have with that event in one character. There are other characters that are basically just living jokes - like Heroine X for example - but they have gimmicks to follow. Nobu just is random and haughty and that's about the extent of her character so far, so she basically just comes off as way more obnoxious then any of the other ones. Also she's voiced by Rie Kugimiya and I actually can't stand her voice except on a few characters. I'll look forward to see if she gets better in the next 3 gudaguda events (well, next 2 with 1 rerun), but for now, I just don't like her. Third is Minamoto no Raikou. You're probably not entirely familiar with this, but Raikou to me is basically like Camilla in Fire Emblem Fates. Fantastic unit all around, to borderline insane - as both her Berserker form is one the premier berserker farmers and will continue to be until either Skadi or Arjuna Alter come out. Her summer form is also like, actually insane with how much damage and star gen she's packing, and that she can give these damage buffs to everyone else. So it's a real shame her personality is basically just someone who obnoxiously smothers you while acting like your mother but also kind of wanting to bone you? It's like, the proto version for Mom Isekai. That and her design is pretty annoying and could be hot if not for the two giant latex balloons strapped to her chest. Fourth is uhh.....Ivan the Terrible? It's in the name. I honestly don't know who I'd put in this slot because I can't really think of anyone i expressly dislike but i do know who I hate most of all and want to end this segment with. So just have this joke answer. The final one, to no surprise at all, is Blackbeard. I mean, there's hardly any reason I should explain why I should dislike him because there's hardly any reason at all someone should like him. Like, he doesn't really seem to have a target audience and the way he's written isn't so much that you should love to hate him you should just hate him. He takes every opportunity he has to be the most worthless person on screen and his dialogue physically pains me to read. So yeah. This has been my ted talk, feel free to come again later.
  15. It didn't take long for Kelsey to meet up with the two girls, thankfully. Asking the question that she did, Stella simply gave a nervous laugh as she rubbed the back of her head. As she was about to respond to the girl, she was suddenly interrupted by a young boy who had walked out from the crowd. Stella thought the boy looked familiar, wondering about his identity as Kelsey voiced that question and watched him get into his argument with the gym teacher. Stella had also wanted to get out of her gym activities as well - more specifically anything that involved running. And while the boy was met with about as much success as she would've expected for herself. Granted, the way he asked the teacher rubbed her far more the wrong way than she could've ever imagined herself asking for such a thing. As the other girls explained who he was, the girl suddenly remembered why he was so familiar looking. She wasn't particularly into going out to movies, and most of the movies she had seen were older ones with her father at home. And though she certainly could tell the young actor was handsome, her first impression of him seemed to outweigh that. The girl then raised an eyebrow as her roommate seemed to walk over to the boy and giddily get his autograph. As the girl asked about why he was here, Stella simply shrugged and said, "who knows? Maybe he's got some sort of mandatory service like you do?" Or, maybe his parents just sent him to a school to become more disciplined. Turning away and back to her friend she said, "well. What about you Kellz? You excited to learn more about all that mech combat stuff?"
  16. As Cat had wondered where Shiro was, the boy simply pointed over to the protean who was busy helping out the animals. It was then that the woman had gone to ask what exactly it was that they had found out about the village they were in so far. As Gunther took the lead on that topic, Alois simply nodded along and said, "that about sums it up." As Gunther then explained the animal turned man, Alois nodded saying, "yeah, we met a naked guy earlier who turned out to be Amas's hound." Looking to Cora he said, "they were also with Amas at his place. Old man's a dog now." As the new girl seemed to be taking all of this in, Alois shrugged at her comment. "Village of animals is a first, but I'd say it's about normal for us." Meanwhile, Tsetseg had seemed a bit disappointed by the group's new findings. That there was people who were animals was nothing new to her. However, that there were animals that were now people, was something the girl was a bit in awe of. Unfortunately, as she examined the naked horse man, she was met with some small disappointment that they had no animal features about them. Which meant, that whatever was doing this was not at all as wonderful as making the people into proteans. Which meant that this truly was a curse worth fixing! Tsetseg looked over to Gunther saying, "this is no time for sleeping, no no! We've gotta make sure of all the animals get fluffy again!" The girl nodded to herself.
  17. With the gnolls around her going for yet another follow up attack on her, the girl brought her shield up to deflect the axe blade coming for her neck. As she did, the girl pivoted around the gnoll, with the other two that had struck at her having either missed their swing or bounced off her armor. With blade in hand, the girl swung her scimitar at the gnoll in front of her, though the gnoll had managed to use his axe deflect her clumsy swing away with the rest of his companions beginning to circle around. Continuing to press forward, Ryia again swung her blade, though the pain in her side caused her awkward slash to veer away from the gnoll and slashing nothing but more air. Thankfully, as the gnolls continued to strike at her, their axes as well either swung at nothing or simply bounced off of her. With the gnoll in front of her swinging one more time, the girl was growing frustrated and simply brought up her shield to block against the attack. Pressing forward, she awkwardly swung at the beast's side again, though only managed to a light cut against them. Stepping backward, now swarmed once again, the girl furrowed her brow and got ready for the gnolls around her to attack again. There was one in front of her, one to her left, and two to her right. Getting ready for yet another attack from the gnolls, the one to her left began to giddily snarl and laugh at the same time before running forward to strike at her with its axe. Seeing this, Ryia merely did a small step back, though the gnoll was very excited to carve into Ryia. So excited that it kept moving forward at the same speed, charging right through where she was and smashing into the gnoll to her right. This, in turn, caused the gnoll to domino down into the third one, causing all three to fall flat on the ground. Both Ryia and the only gnoll still standing were left dumbfounded at this supreme display of dexterity. Yet, all the same, the girl recollected herself and went for a slashing, killing the gnoll on top of the pile as she cleaved into its back. This, unfortunately, left her arm open and she winced in pain yet again as her arm buckled down from the axe that had now struck into her. Fighting through it still, Ryia slashed back at the gnoll, carving deeper into it as the other two gnoll began to get back up from their prone position. As the gnoll in front of her went for one last slash, Ryia simply batted the axe away with her shield before going for one last slash into the chest of the gnoll, slaying it. With only two gnolls left, Ryia began to turn around, only to feel two sudden blades strike into her back. "Gah," letting out a pained grunt, the girl stumbled forward. Her breath getting a bit more ragged from the injuries she had sustained, the girl simply turned around to face the gnolls. With half of the ones she had been facing already felled, and no amount of wounds would stop her from felling these last two and rushing to her other chosen's aid.
  18. With a groggy groan, Ross awoke in the morning, rolling over in her bed. However, she was met with a small fact that she hadn't really remembered this early in the morning. Her bed was small. She was soon reminded of this fact, however, as she rolled off the side of the bed, landing with a thud on the ground. Groaning again with a small, "ow," Ross slowly lifted herself off the ground. Rubbing the arm that had hit the ground, the girl then rubbed her eyes trying to get herself awake only to then hear a message come from her wrist. Looking at her wrist, seeing the strange looking watch on it, looking around the room the girl suddenly was hit with a wave of memories. "Right, right." She was in a strange new world, here to partake in gladiatorial combat. She was hired by a magic magician screen woman who teleported her here. She hung out with a girl that was a mutant and a witch in a mall. They had a beholder for a security guard. And her room was like a prison cell. The movies were pretty decent too. Getting her bearings, still trying to wrap her head around this new reality she had found herself in, she looked back to her watch. Apparently she had a message from her boss, saying she was out of town now. Well, it wasn't as if Ross had any pressing issues to bring up to the woman anyway, so she didn't think much of the message. Instead, she had a different matter. She had excused herself for it yesterday as she was suddenly poofed into a new world, but Ross was not about to skip her morning routine two days in a row. Looking at her watch, the girl found that there was an athletic center she could go to. Figuring that she could get in a good jog, the girl began to walk out of her room, and make her way through the apartment complex. As she got into the elevator to go down, she was met with the sudden sight of a different girl then she had met before. The girl herself could've been intimating: she was tall, seemed rather built, long black hair, a set of two horns and long blue scaled tail behind her. This sight was only offset by the incredibly cheery and jovial expression on her face, and the girl herself waving to Ross cheerily as she walked into the elevator. Feeling a bit awkward, and also glancing back and forth at the girl's inhuman features to tell if they were indeed real, the girl kept silent. The other, more draconic girl, however did not. "Hello there!" "Hey," the girl gave a small wave back. The dragon girl seemed to keep examining Ross, making the girl only more uncomfortable, before she brightened back up saying, "I'm Xia! I haven't seen you before, but if you're here then we must be living mates!" As Xia stuck out her hand to shake, Ross took it saying, "yeah, I'm Ross. Just moved in yesterday. Work and all." "Oooooh! Well, I work here too! It's been really fun so far and I get to meet so many new people! Like Morgan, and Aurora, and Gnash, and Cyan, and Masaru, and Snowball, and - " The girl was cut off as the elevator door opened. "Oh, I should get off here. Well, nice meeting you Ross!" The girl gave a wave and made her way out of the building. Ross, wanting to exit through the same door but feeling awkward about doing so, simply waited where she was. "This place is weird." Beginning to make her way out of the building, the girl began to make her way down the street as she looked at her watch. She hadn't done much familiarizing herself with it yesterday, having been out all day, and so she simply took the time to play around with it. Looking at it, she realized that she had to sign up for a match for the day as well, either by challenge or simple random assortment. While she could've just picked any random person, she figured getting herself familiarized with the battling of her work with an acquaintance would work better for her. Looking between the two people she knew, Ross decided on Morgan, simply sending the girl a small message. Yo. It's Ross. Wanna battle today? Xia felt a small nagging sensation after her exchange with Ross. She had felt as if she had heard the name before, but couldn't quite figure out where. Well, she seemed nice anyway, and Xia always enjoyed new people. All the same, the girl began to make her way through the city. She didn't really have a goal in mind, but figured it'd be fun to go and look at the shrine again. She was always curious to learn more about dragons, and if there were more dragons in this city then it would be even loads better. Plus last time she had went there was nice person as well, so that would always be fun too! Looking at her watch, the girl figured she still needed to sign up for a fight, and so, tapping on the watch she started to send a message. hiiiiiiiii cyan havent talked to you in awhile but i thought we could fight today since last time the basketball game was super fun and we havent fought yet so we should since itll be fun thaaaanks cyan
  19. Marie frowned as Randy had brought back up what had happened early in the town. "Well, you know that was uh.." As Marie tried to make an excuse for herself, she knew that he wasn't exactly wrong. She knew that since coming here she had been more short on temper, and that she was far more willing to fight then she was before. All the same, opting to stil blame circumstance on it she said, "well, some people just don't listen and uh..." The girl went off into a small mumble and said, "but I probably shouldn't have, yeah..." As the girl thought on it more, though, she started to wonder why it was she jumped right into the battle. Since coming to the town of Trailsau, the girl couldn't help but feel a certain energy go through to get her fighting against the locals. It wasn't something almost unnatural, like when she had been fighting Blake and it wasn't as if it was particularly malicious. It was more like the whole atmosphere of Trailsau lent itself to that. And given the locals just seemed to get into it and brush it off nearly as quickly, Marie was simply left wondering. "Hey, Randy. Why do you think the locals here are so gung ho to fight?" Nine felt his smile falter a bit as Kayla mentioned the destruction of Juyu, but simply bounced back as Shaymin began speaking once more. Nine couldn't help but feel that the legend was continuing to undersell themselves, but didn't say much in regards to that instead smiling brightly as she agreed. "Well, between all of us here, you have no group more experienced at dealing with legends and legendary-class people. So, no matter how formidable this legend may be, we shall come out victorious against it." Of course, half of that was just trying to reassure Shaymin then it was his actual belief. For all the legends he had met, he had only actually fought one. And though he had been at a severe disadvantage against them, that was hardly the only reason he struggled against Kyogre. Even Nikora had shortly proven there after that an advantage wasn't everything. As such, Nine was very unsure how good they actually stacked up against Giratina, especially if it was a legend so strong that it had to be locked away by other legends. Yet still, there were god slayers milling about and ones stronger than any he had fought previously. So, he knew that no matter what worries he may have had, there was no running from this kind of a fight.
  20. As the matches came out, Yuuka but a hand to her chin looking at her opponents. Valerie Clark and someone named Pip. Putting a hand to her chin, the girl began to think about what her opponents had in store for her. Yuuka, naturally, didn't know much of anything about her opponent in the form of Pip, figuring that quite like Yuri he was from another class. She did, however, know who Valerie was quite well; though it would be more of a shock if someone from her class didn't. She was a person who had always made her presence well known and her determination in being the best of the best was something that she was able to see often in her physical activity. Yuuka had figured that between the two of them, the match up itself was not the best for her. Which was more of a good thing than anything else, as there was no one that Yuuka had believed she would match up well against and for her to do so would be problematic for that person's status as a hero. All the same, Yuuka thought it would be best to understand her opponent, and so she looked to her partner. "Ah, it's Pip!" Yuri exclaimed, pointing at the monitor as if reading the girl's thoughts. "He looks a little scary, but he's super nice." Putting a finger to her chin, the girl mused, "I see..." It was not much to go off but was certainly a start. Deciding to fill her partner in as well she said, "that girl is Valerie Clark. She's quite physically able and tends to go all out all the time in what she's doing so, it would do best not to dawdle or take it slow against her." As the two groups were eventually met with each other, now on a soccer field, the girl looked across to see that her fellow classmates's arm was already ablaze. Naturally, it had appeared that the advice she had given Yuri was quite accurate, as Yuuka could only assume that her arm being on fire meant that she was ready to battle. As the soccer ball bounced up and down, it had seemed that readiness was even more than she gave the girl credit for. Without warning the girl shot a gout of fire at the both of them, and though Yuuka was prepared for her to do something this was not quite it. As such, she was late on her dodging, and felt a very scorching sensation on her side as she winced in pain from the flames. All the same, the girl did not retaliate and simply stood where she was with a smile on her face. "My, my. Not even a hello first? That's certainly rude of a hero, but well, I look forward to facing you both all the same."
  21. Jacklyn listened as both of her adventuring partners told her of their pokemon's diets. The girl's face lit up as Belle mentioned she got a new pokemon recently, giving the girl a thumbs up, but she soon went back to furrowing her brow. The girl didn't really know what to do about both a Bellsprout and Rattata. As far as she knew Bellsprout was just a plant...so maybe it just needed lots of sunlight? And Rattata...the girl had definitely seen enough rats in her life but she never really cared about what their particular diet was. Scraps? That didn't sound very nice, though, so she instead kept pondering it. Scratching her head the girl said, "well, we can figure that out later. I'm sure there's a shop that we can find for that stuff. For now! Onwards!" The girl pointed dramatically to the streets, as she began to march down them in order to find where it was next best to go on their adventure. The girl didn't really know where the restaurant she was looking for was, though it only took a bit of a can do attitude and a lot of aimless wandering before they finally found their destination. The Skrelp Flambe. The restaurant itself didn't look all that different from the other establishments around it, with the main reason distinguishing factor being the glowing red sign that read "Skrelp Flambe" and the glowing sign of a Skrelp on fire. The build was at the end of the road, and thus had outdoor seating and clear view of the ocean from said seating. Seeing the people outside, Ivan and Belle would likely be relieved as the patrons didn't seem to be in any sort of formal attire. Jacklyn, taking the lead had walked inside ahead of the two, and taking almost no time at all promptly came out with a member of the restaurant's staff. The staff member had lead the group to their table, and once seated, the group was presented with menus. Opening hers up, Jacklyn marveled at the unique dishes this restaurant had. Kelp. Seared Kelp. Boiled Kelp. Roasted Kelp. Grilled Kelp. Fried Kelp. Deep Fried Kelp. Double Deep Fried Deluxe Kelp. The Kelp Flambe. Similarly, the drinks on the menu were Kelp Juice and Kelp Water. "Oooh, i don't think I've ever had anything like this before." Jacklyn did not seem to at all have an issue with the menu she was looking at. Putting down the menu though, the girl said, "oh, come to think of it. We've been together for awhile now, but this is the first time we sat down and ate like this." Pumping her fist into the air, drawing attention to herself from the other customers she let out a, "woohoo!" Looking at her bag, the girl then dug through it for her camera, and with no prompting simply took a picture of her two teammates.
  22. As the monsters began to swarm them, Edda stood there, still in shock at the creatures she was looking at. It wasn't as though she had never seen a monster before, but something about them caused a chill to go through her blood. Monsters were inherently unnatural beings, but the young girl felt something even more instinctually wrong about these creatures, even more so with the supposed leader of the pack. The hounds it commanded as well sent the same feeling down her spine, and that their leader seemed to be preparing something soon did nothing to calm her. Even with the group being able to break through the swarming beasts as they were, she still couldn't help but be worried as there were still more around them, and likely even more than they could currently see. While the girl wished to fight, and wished to grow stronger, seeing both the archer and wyvern rider in action, she knew that she didn't match up to them. What they could do in one or two slashes and shot, would take forever for her to even come close. And so, gripping onto her sword, the girl gulped down as she attempted to do all she could to help them break the ranks of the beasts. Walking forward, past Ada and the Hound, standing instead next to Rona now, over the corpse of the beast she had just felled. Seeing her brimming with the confidence and vigor that was expected of the flying juggernauts, Edda took a deep breath and looked towards her. With words that echoed through the forest, Edda simply shouted, "trykk videre!" Though the words were unfamiliar to the girl, Rona would simply feel a surge of energy run through her, allowing her to take on yet another foe.
  23. With the group having moved out, Leon followed suit and went to follow up on Raynor's attack. As the draytter's lance buried deep in the sword wielding zombie, the boy followed up with a swift slash of his own, cleaving through the rotting neck of the creature. As it fell to the ground, this victory was short lived as the monstrous forces charged them almost immediately. The eyes of a nearby hound lit up towards Ada as she destroyed one of the zombies with her magic, immediately charging towards the dark mage. Rushing past the rest of the group the hound leaped towards the shaman, sinking its fangs into the girl's arm. Now that it was much closer, the group would be able to notice a faint aura of shadow that covered the hounds body with a faint trace of red in its otherwise vacant eyes. The rest of the monsters began to make their move as well. As if being told to clear away, the zombie that Yue had shot had shambled away and instead moved towards Raynor. As it lifted its axe up, the draytter found himself in a situation none too conducive to avoiding the attack, as he was blindsided by another hound charging and biting into him as the axe was swung, striking him as well. Rona as well was beset by a hound and another zombie, both striking at her with fang and sword alike. All the while, the rest of the monstrous creatures began to shamble and make their way closer to the group.
  24. As Ross followed Morgan along, the girl was still skeptical about what it was the girl actually wanted to show off. She wasn't quite sure how much of a prankster Morgan actually was, having just met the girl, but she was certain that she was up to something. All the same, as she gave her advice to not stare too long at it, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of person it was that she was going to meet. As Morgan and Aurora stood back, Ross sighed, simply wanting to get it over with and walked forward into what appeared to be some kind of service desk area. With no one around, the girl pushed the button and waited for a few moment before seeing the horrifying sight descend down from above at her. The girl looked at the strange and, frankly, horrifying creature. Having fought many monsters in her time and being as emotionally controlled a person she was, Ross wasn't exactly terrified by the creature. That being said, the many eyed large fanged creature was certainly something creepy even amongst the plethora of demons she had seen. And though she knew she wasn't home, she couldn't help but let instinct take over as the creature approached her. Her hand reached to her back, simply grabbing at nothing as the pipe that she normally used to fight was not on her person. So instead, she simply slid one foot back and readied herself to see move if the creature had done anything. Her stare becoming more intense as her eyes flitted between each of its eyes, as the creature finally opened its mouth and - "Well howdy there, strrranger!" Ross's eyes softened as they went from serious to more confused and in disbelief than anything else. Her foot as well continued to slip back, as the shock of the creature's unbelievably cartoonish voice had caught her so off guard that she nearly tripped over herself. As she tried to right herself upright, holding up a finger as if she were about to ask something, she could hear Morgan's cackling from behind her. "I'm so- wh- hello?" The strange and monstrous creature continued floating there harmlessly. "Yes, hello, who are you, and what can I do you for?" Simply putting a palm to her face, still trying to grasp the situation, the girl simply said, "sorry. I'm Ross. I'm uh, new here. I just," she shrugged as if she didn't really know the answer herself. "I guess I just came here to say hello." "Well isn't that nice of you. Hello Ross, I'm Gnash, the security guard! Are you gonna be staying with us? How swell!" Shaking her head she said, "yeah, pleasure to meet you too Gnash. I'm one of the new fighters here so, however long that career lasts I guess that's how long I'm staying here."' "Whoa, another new one? Incredible! Well then come on over and we'll get you all set up with a room." Sighing she said, "yeah, thanks." Walking over with Gnash, a very bizarre experience to say the least, the girl simply let the creature examine and fiddle around with her watch. After scanning it with a machine of his, the security guard eventually told her that everything was ready, and she now had an idea of where it was her room was. So, leaving the room, she gave a wave to Gnash, still feeling awkward and confused about the whole thing she said, "uh, yeah. Thanks again. Gnash. Um, later." She then looked over to Morgan, having half a mind to flick the girl in the forehead. But, she didn't. She didn't even look annoyed, and instead unnervingly calm. Simply staring at the girl for a few seconds before looking between the two saying, "well, I think I'm about ready to head off to bed now."
  25. Being awoken by the alarm, quite like her roommate had been, Stella simply continued to lie in bed as she went to go turn it off. After a few moments more, the girl stretched herself and got out of bed, looking around to realize where it was she was. Rubbing her eyes a bit, the girl found herself tired having been unable to sleep well last night. After all, the start of school was coming soon and the whole situation did nothing but wrack her nerves. Being in a still creepy and unfamiliar room did nothing to help her out either. However, she still had no plans to be tardy to today's assembly, and got herself dressed rather quickly. Putting on her own set of casual clothes, the girl began to make her way out of her room, when she had realized something. On dates like these, it was always important to be punctual. And she knew someone who was very much not that. As the girl went to go wake up her friend, she looked above her bed and noticed that it was indeed not a bunk bed. Right. They weren't roommates this time around. It was no issue though, Stella simply had to go knock on her door and make sure she was awake. And so, with that in mind the girl stepped out of her room and began to walk through the dorm, only to stop in her tracks fairly shortly. She realized there was an issue with her new plan. She didn't actually know what room that Kelsey was staying in. Furrowing her brow, the girl tried to think of what to do, knowing that it would be trouble if she was late. And it wasn't as if calling and asking would work, otherwise she wouldn't worry about her being asleep in the first place. After a few minutes of thinking, though, the girl eventually figured that it would be best to leave it in Kelsey's hands and hope that she would get out on time. The actual assembly itself was a simple meeting of all the teachers, and the students being introduced to them all. While the history teacher was unique to say the least, she felt most confident in both her classes and the man that her roommate had also seemed to be most taken by. After all, if there were two subjects that she would excel it would be those. The mechanic teacher as well seemed a bit on the spacey side, and Stella wasn't entirely proficient with mechanical work herself. However, as she tapped her foot on the ground, she figured that perhaps it would be good to start learning. Still, the teacher herself left some degree of worry for the girl. The final two were then the ones that she was most worried about. The first being PE. The man himself was certainly energetic and passionate about his work, which made things all the worse for Stella. She was never really the most physically fit girl, and though she had never tried to shirk off gym class it was certainly not one that she ever set out to improve herself in. And then there was the mech combat instructor. Stella had some knowledge and experiencing in piloting the mechs herself, but it wasn't something she was particularly comfortable with. In fact, counter to the school though it may have been, Stella would have preferred to pilot hers as little as possible. That this woman seemed to be only adding to Stella's own fears with her statement, did little to make the girl any less nervous about the class. When all was said and done though, the girl didn't really have any questions herself, instead just simply looking around to see if Kelsey had actually made it over. With her eyes scanning around the crowd, it was a bit difficult considering how many people were in attendance but the girl simply pulled out her phone and texted a quick, "even the teachers are something different from home," to her friend. Looking to Vivian she said, "I'm sure you'll get a chance later." If anything, Stella wouldn't be surprised if he brought it with him tot class. Putting her hand to her chin she then said, "I wonder if they have any kind of pet shops around here though...or allow pets at all." She hardly doubted the latter, and certainly didn't want to take on that responsibility, but couldn't help but wonder aloud in the face of her roommate's enthusiasm.
