  1. Ross looked between the two, unsure of what she should have found more surprising. As it turned out, the both of them had also been from Earth, although neither of them seemed to be aware of the whole monsters from maybe hell thing that was going on. In fact, the two of them seemed to describe something entirely foreign to her. Morgan with her being an actual witch who was actually famous. And Aurora with her "Fragment" that sounded like similar in function to a demonic taint, but with much less risk of dying from thirst. Speaking of, Ross still had to go see about her own blood drinking problem, but that was for later. All the same, neither of them seemed like they were lying and thus it brought back Ross to her original thought. That it was strange that they were both from the same planet as her, but they were somehow not. Of course, the alternative was that they were humans and not from Earth, which was an equally strange thing to think about. As Ross thought to herself, she eventually just shrugged it off. "Yeah, I can't say I've heard of you before now. And well, you seem like a hard person to miss, especially in my line of work." She then looked to Aurora saying, "same with your whole, Fragment business. But well," looking between the two she said, "we're a demon, a mutant and a witch. If that's not the start to some kind of joke I don't know what is." Taking a sip of her soda yet again, the girl looked to the others saying, "well, regardless of how weird different they might be, glad to meet fellow earthlings in this weird place." Taking a glance at her watch, the girl then said, "oh, it's a lot later than I thought it'd be."
  2. Edda had figured that her assumptions were not on the ball, as she had suspected. While the white haired girl had started talking to her, Edda had difficulty making out the words the girl was saying. It was actually impressive, to be this close but to lower one's volume to that level. All the same, it had appeared that what she was doing did not, in fact, be a custom or method of talking in Yon'Lou. More to the point, the girl had hardly seemed "fine," though Edda was no doctor and thus figuring out what it was that was ailing her was far beyond her kenning. As she looked skeptical at the Yonan woman, she seemed startled as she was now being asked the question. "Um, yes." Edda looked at herself, noting only a small scratch that she had sustained earlier. Beyond that, she certainly felt fine, so she just nodded again saying, "yes I am." After that, Edda just stood there, herself unsure how to proceed. Silently, the girl waited to see if the woman before her would do something, but of course she was also silent. Edda was sure that there was something that came after this, something more casual, but her mind seemed to reach for topics that either didn't exist or weren't shareable. And so, it was there that the conversation came to a halt. Well, it wasn't like she wanted to speak with them to begin with, so having gotten this far was fine. Right? Looking away from the girl, she bluntly said, "let's get going." And with that, began to walk off along the road once more, seemingly content with herself. As Rona began to trail off and get prepared, the mercenary boy figured that he would have to probably help warn her about Alexis's hobby. It was a bit overbearing at times, and it was clearly something she didn't seem to be comfortable with. As such he'd have to make sure she, and the rest of the Falcons for that matter, knew what they were getting into. Though, the boy looked towards Alexis saying, "also, don't call me boss. It sounds sordid when you say it." With everyone ready to get on the move, Leon said, "alright everyone let's get -" his attention was drawn away as Edda seemed to already be walking on her own. "Where is she..." He then seemed to notice something else. Throughout this whole conversation, he had realized that Susanoo had been strangely quiet for his generally loud and obnoxious demeanor. It was then he realized why this was the case, as the man seemed to already be on a mule, riding off into the distance. Leon was thankful for this, as the less time he had to deal with the man the better it was for him. Shaking his head he said, "alright Falcons, let's get on the road." The journey from Western Aeora to Enta was a long one indeed. Having marched for several days at this point, the group had managed to evade any unnecessary conflicts with bandits, both either from the lack of them or the benefits of having two flying scouts. Avoiding the main bridge to cross into Enta's region of Aeora, the Iron Falcons attempted to take a more direct path from where they had started to Enta. Cutting into the Alelle Woods, the mecenary company was eventually stopped by the Evas River, being their own main natural obstacle between them and Enta. Chapter 6 - Verse Date: 27th of Aeis, Year 967, Fall Time: 10:17 PM Location: En Route to Enta, Southern Aeora, Evas River Leon was glad to see that they were making progress in their journey, however, crossing the Evas was a problem that he still hadn't quite figured out how to solve. It wasn't shallow enough to walk through, and the current was enough to dissuade one from swimming through it. Not to mention that he had no idea how a salamander would take to water. While there was probably something to do about it, the group had had an already long day of traveling, and so he turned to the others saying, "alright, let's set up camp here for the night."
  3. As the group had come to a decision to go raid the mayor's house, one the boy could only wholeheartedly support, Cat and Link - Alois had to double take at the sight of the usually green garbed man who seemed to be sporting a much blacker outfit now. Raising an eyebrow at the man, as they approached, Cat had informed them of someone who was apparently sleeping and naked in a house nearby. This new information, with Link's strange appearance only made Alois more curious about what had actually happened with him, but before he could go check out the house himself a new voice had caught his attention. While any voice would have been cause for alarm, given that there was no one else in this village but them, this one in particular had caught his attention. Completely ignoring that Link had even given him the suggestion, the boy turned to face the girl just saying, with surprise, "Cora?!" Looking at the girl now more closely, she certainly had the same lack of dexterity with her blade he had remembered her to, and the same horse he had known her to have. "Well, uh, been awhile. What are the odds of meeting you here, right?" His tone had a mix of both friendliness and awkwardness, only to then go to his usual demeanor as he turned to the rest of them. "Don't worry guys, she's harmless." He was still loud enough to be heard by her. Turning back to the woman he said, "right, so, they're basically telling you the truth. I, uh, imagine this place wasn't a barn when you left it last?" Though Tsetseg seemed intent on waiting for Ciela to give up her possessions, the girl put down her hand as she was asked a question. "Oh," she looked to Licorice, "well, see, see. She did something bad by giving you bad magic stuff right? So, she needs to be taught a lesson right? Oh." Realizing that she was no longer looking at her, Tsetseg turned around and outstretched her hand back at Ciela, glaring at the woman. "So, hand it over. You'll be able to have it back when you learned your lesson." The girl's tone seemed to get a bit deeper, as she was attempting to mimic her father, and she still wasn't entirely sure what she was asking Ciela to hand over. All the same, her hand remained.
  4. As Marie had gotten her response from Allie, she only seemed to get even more annoyed at the Godslayer. They were talking about change and flaunting about how strong they were. While Allie seemed to think that change, whatever it was she was even talking about, wouldn't it come from a peaceful chat, Marie felt that there was something deeply wrong with the sentiment. Or rather, something deeply wrong given who it was coming from. Grinding her teeth in frustration, Marie shouted, "you're wrong! But you wouldn't know! How many legends have you even talked to, huh!?" As she seemed to be reaching a boiling point of frustration with this girl she said, "you don't talk! All you do is this!" Marie let out a blast of water straight at the Tyranitar. The attack had landed dead on, and, as it did, Allie seemed to focus her attentions on multiple people at once. While it seemed that she was still going for Keanu, one of the stone edge blades she wielded exploded into a rain of stones that were directed towards Marie. Surprised by the sudden attack, Marie couldn't dodge so much as she could try to let loose yet another water gun to try and deflect the stones away from her, but the difference in power was clear enough that it most certainly wasn't going to work. Nine, finally getting up into a sitting position, chuckled at the raw confidence the young looking legend exuded. It certainly sounded akin to a child's boasting, albeit the grass legend showing that they had a degree of power befitting their status. As the talk with the legend continued, though, Gwen seemed to bring the topic back to he-who-shall-not-be-named, with Skymin once more being dismissive about it. While that was certainly enough to keep Nine's interest piqued about the topic, what happened next only caused the Houndoom to let out a soft chortle at the bluntness of his statement. It wasn't something one just came out and said, though, Nine figured that it was befitting of the overall childlike demeanor that Skymin had. Looking to Gwen, raising an eyebrow with a slightly curious expression, he seemed to be asking if she had something she wanted to tell them. Of course, he didn't press beyond that, and if she didn't seem to want to, he would simply look back to Skymin. It wasn't as if he hadn't figured out that she was hiding something already, yet he was overall nonchalant about it. If it was something worth mentioning, it'd come up eventually, for better or worse. And he'd just have to deal with it when it did. "Well, Skymin, what're your plans now that you're out and about?" Looking back to Gwen he said, "and what're we going to do? Mission accomplished, right?"
  5. Jacklyn was none too pleased as she was still wiping her face off from the weird lick that she had just received. As this happened, she then watched Ivan move forward and nearly clobber the kid, with an expression on his face that she had only seen once before. All the same, as eventually he let go, Dennis didn't seem to be alright with Ivan roughing him up as he called her friend a hypocrite. Clearly annoyed by this, and by Dennis's general attitude, the girl was about to call him out when he suddenly called out for his Haunter to use an attack. It was one that she, or at least Cherry would've been, familiar with and as Jacklyn noticed what it was doing she looked around. Seeing something close to get out of the Haunter's gaze, Jacklyn dove behind Belle, and took cover behind her. While it had seemed that both her and Belle were fine, Ivan didn't seem to be too lucky as he had already passed out. Annoyed the girl shouted, "I didn't want to fight you. I just wanted you to apologize for stealing from my friend. And I guess now for putting another one asleep! But!" Taking out a pokeball and no longer taking cover behind Belle, "if you want to fight, as an adventurer and trainer I'll battle you!" Sending out Rus from her pokeball, the Lepash letting out a puff of smoke from its mouth as it looked to be challenging the Haunter, Jacklyn crossed her arms and glared at Dennis. "So?"
  6. Ryia was definitely taken off guard by what it was that Keres's usual diet had consisted of. The girl wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but she was fairly certain fungus were usually inedible? Beyond that, the choice of animals were far more unique and exotic then anything that Ryia herself had ever eaten, making her wonder where the water chosen even found all of these things to begin with. "That's um, certainly more varied, then uh, what I'm used to." Even beyond simply being exotic to the girl, Ryia's usual diet back home had consisted more or less of bread and chicken and that was about it. However, as Keres had mentioned something about a pie, Ryia said, "oh, that sounds um, interesting. Do you um, bake?" Keres gave a stiff nod. "I know many forms of cooking. Had to. Living on my own." "That's unfortunate..." She was only now more curious of the life that Keres had lead before becoming a Chosen, though it didn't sound any bit happy so far. Of course, thinking that she might've just said something poorly, the girl doubled back saying, "not that you can cook, or um, anything. That's wonderful. I uh, I don't think I've ever really had the talent for it. Do you um...enjoy, cooking?" Keres didn't seem to know how to answer that. Instead she just repeated. "Had to." "Ah." Ryia wasn't really sure what to make of the response. It didn't sound like she did, and more like she was just forced to to make it around wherever she was from. As such, she doubted it could possibly be fun. Still, all the food around them and the topic had made her curious about what Keres's cooking was like. And for that matter, if anyone else in the group had any knowledge. As such, pressing on the matter just a bit more she said, "would you...like to get things here, that would help you cook...on the road and stuff?" Keres turned towards Ryia. "Wouldn't it be better to get more general supplies?" "I suppose so, yeah." Ryia turned her head away, a bit awkward and embarrassed by how eager she must've seemed for something, ultimately unnecessary for them. After all, all of their food was already covered for and it would simply be better to save their gold for things that they actually needed. As such, the girl tried to shift topics back to what they were originally here for, saying, "well, I think they're further into the marketplace so, um, shall we continue?" Keres nodded but followed along slowly. After a bit she stopped. "Um. Did you. Want to?" Stopping as well, Ryia was caught off by the question saying, "oh well...I just thought it might be something fun to learn or do, or well...help the group out and stuff." Keres's face appeared blank as she watched Ryia. Then she turns. "Let's get some then." Ryia's face seemed to be surprised by this, her saying, "oh. Well. Um." Her expression then going to excitement as she realized what Keres had said, she smiled and nodded saying, "alright. Let's." And with that, she began her search for cooking supplies.
  7. Alois raised an eyebrow as the beaver did simply made noises at him, the boy realizing that he did not, in fact, have fluency in beaver speak. More to the point Alois was only more surprised as the animals in the area began to go about what looked like business as usual. The scene itself would've been business as usual, were it people manning the stalls and not various animals. And as such, the boy was only left more dumbfounded at the strangeness that was his town. Turning back to the others, the new girl having both explained more about her business as well as the group deciding to go and see what was inside the locked building. Looking to Edrick, he said, "well, I doubt that we'll find a key in that "garrison." It's just a barracks where people do a lot of training and stuff. If you were looking for a key, then I guess the mayor's place would be a good place to look." He shrugged saying, "I can't really imagine they'll mind, because worst that'll happen is the mayor will just badger us or something." After saying that he looked to Gunther and Citron, the former of which had been trying to assure the latter of which everything would be fine. Bluntly, he just said, "they won't be fine with it." Tsetseg nodded along with Penelope as she assured Licorice it was no issue saying, "yeah, yeah. We're all friends and stuff so we all gotta make sure we're all fine. No one left behind and all." While the girl didn't seem to be bothered by her white haired friend's comment about being eaten, as she herself was nearly eaten by a fox as well, the girl instead pivoted and looked at Ciela. Having heard what Licorice said, the archer glared at the blue haired girl and pointed at her saying, "no more experiments and stuff with dark magic! It's bad and dark and stuff, see." She gestured to Licorice before sticking her hand out towards Ciela. Tsetseg remembered that whenever she had done something wrong at home, her parents would generally punish her by taking away something from her and giving it back when enough time had passed. Usually it was her bow. And, as Ciela had done something wrong, it was only natural that she hand something over to the archer, though what she wasn't sure. All the same, she held her hand out expectantly, waiting for Ciela to hand something over.
  8. With the situation having been resolved, Ross had sighed as the group had finally made their way away from the security guard. The whole situation had annoyed her, and thus, once they were done with it she opted not to bring it up at all. Instead, she stayed silent until the group had come across a cafe to get their food from. Looking to the girl she had just told she'd treat, she said, "well, what do you want to get?" After she had gone to get Morgan her own food, Ross had gone to get herself just a simple sandwich with what she could best assume was a lemon lime soda. Sitting down with the others, Ross simply quietly chewed on her meal, still amazed at how normal everything had tasted and seemed despite where they were. As Aurora asked her question about their own homes, Ross paused for a moment. There were a few words that came to mind. Normal. Modern. Pretty average. Those were the best ways she could think to immediately describe her home world, but she had stopped herself from saying such things. Firstly, as it was disingenuous as Ross had figured that demons were weird, even for the place where she came from. Secondly, Ross had no idea knowing what her companions concept of an "average world" was, as plants in pants were very not the norm where she was from but seemed to be widely accepted here. Looking at them, Ross figured that with Aurora's clothing she was probably from somewhere similar to her, though she could've also been from some weird fantasy land where the clothing didn't match the setting at all. And Morgan was a witch so all bets were off with her. As such, Ross thought about how best to describe it before proceeding. "My world's pretty average," well it slipped out anyway. "We've got a lot of uh...technology. Stuff run by electricity and lots of metal working....and big cities with big buildings and stuff." Going absolutely perfectly. "Planet's called Earth, if you've heard of it. I'm from a country there called America. It's pretty alright but we frequently get attacked by creatures from hell or something. Honestly I don't know much of the details myself and," Ross seemed to almost glance through Aurora as she said, "I don't think anyone really ever has." Sitting back in her chair, she then waited for the other two to share.
  9. Leon had looked a bit dumbfounded as Alexis bounded off and started to engage in her...hobby, at Yue and Layne. While he felt sorry for the both of them, he was then left more surprised by her sudden declaration to join their group. Leon had known that she could've been a bit of an impulsive person, but this seemed to be something else. While the boy would normally chastise her about this, Leon felt like he wasn't in much of a position to argue with her. In fact, this was likely the best case scenario for the group to make sure she didn't tell anyone else about them. And having another hand around was always helpful. "Well um," Leon seemed to be collecting his thoughts before continuing, "welcome aboard, I suppose. Officially speaking, we go by the name of the "Iron Falcons."" After a brief moment, Leon simply glanced to the side saying, "we used to have more fliers." Fastening his sword to his side, he then continued, "anyway, I hope you have what you need on you. We should be heading out soon, after all," he gestured to the deceased bandit leader. "We don't want to linger around here for too long." Edda had realized something while she was mulling over her own thoughts. Glancing back to each member of the mercenary group that she was apart of, she was able to notice that they were all talking with one another. That alone wasn't worth note. No, what it was that Edda had realized was that she was awkwardly far away from everyone else. The girl had simply been standing on the side this whole time, silently lost in her own thoughts and it had seemed to her that this gap only seemed to widen as time went on. Of course, she didn't really want to be near them or anything. And even if she were, she had absolutely nothing to talk about with them. So it only made sense that she would keep her distance and not talk with them. If anything, she had less than nothing to talk to them about. Oh, she could talk about how she wanted to go on! The thought had crossed her mind, and as she was the client it would be entirely reasonable for her to talk about that. Or, was it? Thus far, Edda hadn't actually had much of a say in when they moved out. And she had very little experience in dealing with mercenaries as it was. So she wasn't sure how talking about it would go over. Of course, if she moved forward then surely that would convey the same message and they would be forced to follow. Though, that also didn't seem conducive to being less awkwardly far away from everyone else. Not that she needed to close the distance anyway. As Edda seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, she was interrupted as she felt something bump into her. Truthfully, Edda herself had hardly noticed it, and Yue would be able to notice that Edda had barely budged from her spot in spite of being crashed into. As such, she curiously glanced to the side, locking eyes with something akin to a frightened rabbit staring down a fox. Raising an eyebrow at this, Edda's vision focused more on the whole picture, seeing the shaking form of a the white haired Yonan girl in front of her. Edda looked around, not seeing any cause for panic before her eyes rested back on the archer. As she greeted her, Edda froze up as she realized something. "Oh um, hello there, um" As the distance, that she hadn't cared about, suddenly closed between them she came to understand something. Everyone in this group knew her name. Edda herself, though, had no idea who it was she was talking to. Though, she had said something at the end of her statement that caught her attention. Was it a Yonan tradition to say that at the end of a greeting? It certainly hadn't been an Aeornan one from what she had seen thus far. Maybe it was just some strange verbal tic that she had. Or maybe it was her name? Figuring to be safe to go with the assumption on the first and third option to proceed in the conversation, Edda simply replied, "Meep." Her tone was, of course, far flatter and more confused then the Yonan girl before hers. As Edda had returned her greeting, she then paused for a moment, not really thinking her usual conversation topics were applicable here. As such, she thought about it for a moment, realizing that the girl was still shaking and grew more concerned as she asked, "are you..well? Cold?" It was still quite warm out. Trying to speak the girl's language yet again, Edda shrugged repeating, "meep?"
  10. Yuuka's smile didn't seem to break as her teacher made note of her quirk. It was, after all, nothing that she hadn't already known about herself. It was neither flashy nor was it entirely one suited for a hero. It didn't do much on its own and she had doubt it really made an impression, to either the villains or her fellow classmates. And while she understood the basics of her quirk, the young girl hardly thought it was anything that would ever not be lame. As such, having already come to this conclusion herself, her teacher's comment didn't seem to bother her in the slightest. Instead, the girl was more focused on her classmates. She was glad to see that both of the ones with her wished to keep going - though Itsuki would need to work on his willingness to do teamwork. Then, her attention was also mostly focused on Hibiki's answer to her question. The girl was a bit disappointed to hear that she couldn't actually make people into vampires, as unhero like as that might've been. However, as the girl seemed to make her comment at the end Yuuka's smile brightened up again as she started thinking aloud. "Well, in recorded history, vampires have only ever been the subject of pure fiction, historical or otherwise. But, that could have easily changed with quirks. After all, there's still so much we don't know about them that who knows what could be possible? I'm sure that, even if you might not be able to turn people into vampires now, there's no telling if it's just laying dormant in you, ready to come out and transform you into a true creature of the night!" As Yuuka exclaimed this, she then back tracked and said, "of course that says very villainous, but I'm sure you could spin it to be some kind of anti-hero. Maybe with your bright demeanor you could even be just a regular hero, that happens to be part vampire. That doesn't happen very often but I'm sure if you worked at you could work with that kind of a spin." After gushing out at the bat girl, she then seemed to have another thought cross her mind. Looking over to their teacher she said, "oh, what about you Sensei? Was your quirk always like the way it is now?"
  11. Kiyoko had simply been sitting in silence this whole time, merely lost in her own thoughts as she did nothing. Nothing at all. She was simply in a chair. Arms crossed, eyes closed, and nothing but the ambient noises of the room around her. It was a peaceful sensation, one that allowed one to easily focus on their surrounding area, focus in on whatever it was that around them. Pay attention to every breath, shifting noise of a chair, foot step that walked through the room. Of course, Kiyoko could understand the appeal of this absolute zen. To be with nothing but one's own thoughts truly allowed for insights that would not normally be possible. Of course, she was also doing nothing. And so, after spending beyond 15 minutes at doing this, Kiyoko had started to grow restless. Tapping her foot, Kiyoko started to feel as though whatever zen she had achieved was slowly crumbling as the girl began to hear the sounds of other people working. When they were eventually approached by someone, the girl opened her eyes and looked to the boy that had approached them. She raised her eyebrow curiously as the man seemed to be confused about what they were doing, simply saying, "no no, nothing of the sort. We are just doing nothing." Kiyoko's tone was matter of fact. "Hotaru here had told me this was what she would prefer to do. And so, we are here. Doing nothing." Kiyoko then turned to the girl saying, "how long does this usually go on for?"
  12. Marie only huffed more as the big bully Tyranitar seemed insistent on fighting. Marie had already been none too fond of Allie, but the more they spoke the more that she almost saw Blake in the woman she was fighting. Knowing who it was that had asked them to find her in the first placed, this only further annoyed Marie as Allie was practically spitting on what it was her father did. Grimacing at this, Marie shouted, "why is it always kill, kill, kill with you people!" As the Tyranitar went to go for her next attack, Marie was suddenly startled by the face she made, feeling her whole body start to slow down. As the rocks began to fall down at her, Marie knew that she was hardly fast enough to avoid the attack just by moving, but she still started to run to the side anyway. As a stone came close to her, she would open her mouth, blasting it away with water which would manage to veer the object away from her but wasn't a perfect solution to evading the attack. While she was in pain from a hard stone grazing her, the girl still looked determined to beat Allie. Knowing that two could play at the slowing game, Marie took a deep breath before letting loose a small breath of icy wind at Allie. Nine, in all of his pain, continued to simply lie down on the ground in pain. All the same, he was still able to hear the discussion going on about both Skymin and the people from Omega. As the legend bragged about himself, Nine could definitely see a resemblance between them and Victini now. Not that he had anything that said the two were related, but it almost felt as if the two were siblings to each other. All the same, Nine's interest was piqued by the mention of something that was "underground." Curious both by not only that Gwen had said something about it, but that Skymin clearly knew who it was only made it all the more interesting to the boy. Though the legend seemed none too pleased to talk about it at the moment, and thus Nine didn't press on it. Instead, he merely chuckled as the boy gave them their strange nicknames. "Well, Skymin, the name's Nine. Though," he chuckled, "I guess Solarfire is fine." Looking directly at the legend he said, "and well, myself, I'm a chaser. Getting close to finishing up too." Clearing his throat, he said, "but, well, that's not why we're here. More to the point, what are you doing here, just, in the middle of this grove?"
  13. As Ryia had begun to make her way through the crowd of shops, she was glad that it had been Keres to accompany her throughout the sea of people. If it had been Reinaan she felt like she would've gotten far more attention then she was comfortable with. Even though Pyrrah seemed friendly, the girl still knew very little about her. And as the shopkeepers had seemed to be trying to get both her and Keres to shop through flirtation, she didn't want to think about what would have happened if either Lindow or Damien had been the one with her. Though, it wasn't as though Keres kept less attention off of Ryia herself - in fact she seemed to be doing quite the opposite as she kept deflecting the comments of the shopkeepers onto Ryia herself. All the same, the Earth Chosen enjoyed the Water Chosen's company and even though she was still awkward about being complimented so aggressively by strangers, it wasn't as if she were a stranger to the marketplace. Simply just waving them off the girl said things along the lines of a simple "no thanks," to other comments about either not being interested, not having a need for it or lying that she already had something similar herself. While she seemed to be able to talk to merchants easily enough, once they had finally managed to get past the jewelry and perfume salespeople, the girl let out a sigh. Continuing to take deep breaths, the girl seemed to be a bit drained from the whole ordeal, both from having to bat away the shop owners as well as having to fight against her general urge to actually see whatever their wares might've been. Once she had recollected herself, she began to look back to Keres saying, "well, um...shall we go...purchase some food." As they began to move through the marketplace, Ryia was captivated by all the different food that seemed to be set up. Of course, none of it was things they'd be able to take with them, but having her eyes wander towards the meat that seemed to be being freshly cooked on the spot she couldn't help but start to inch more towards it. Ryia had been in similar situations before, and generally had the willpower to keep herself from spending unnecessarily. Though now, without having to worry about their expenses for provisions she could feel that nagging feeling in the back of her head start to lose out. Of course, between the different farm animals and fish that seemed to be on display, Ryia hardly had an idea of where to begin, and she would've felt bad not buying anything for the others which only let in its own flood of confusion about the situation. As such, to help settle at least some of it, Ryia turned to her shopping partner. "So um, Keres...what kind of uh, food do you like."
  14. There was an old expression that when it rained, it poured. Going from the fight that started her afternoon, to nothing short of an awkward encounter with her new roommate, the fact that her room itself seemed to be something unsettling was really just the metaphorical cherry on top of this bad day of cake. Or something. Lifeless was probably the best word to describe the room before her, from the sterile color of the room to the lack of any semblance of decor. Even the beds, though they were built into the walls of the room, seemed to barely be apart of it. Looking back to Kelsey she muttered, "I...don't think it lived up to our standards, Kellz." The girl had as well, agreed with her new roommate about likely needing to do something about this place, but was taken aback by her sudden burst of positivity. All the same, she said, "right. I um, I'll do my best as well. Yeah. I'm just gonna," the girl then went to put her bags down against the wall, a bit hesitantly about doing so as she wasn't sure if some strange robot was just going to appear to do something about it. "Right there. Good. So uh..." Stella looked to the other two and said, "I'm uh...I think I got enough of the room for now, you guys wanna go walk around the campus...Or something?"
  15. While the girl was glaring at the boy for having her adventure ruined and thieving from her friend, the girl seemed didn't seem to let up as the boy seemed to panic at them. Jacklyn had only really been expecting him to do some kind of apology or repenting for his transgressions, but the more he insisted he was not in the wrong the more her eyes narrowed at the boy as he started to move in even more of a panicked frenzy. As he did so, the girl eventually noticed the haunter move into a defensive position, and only look mortified as it had attacked Ivan. Now thoroughly annoyed at the boy, she didn't peel her gaze off of him as he tried to run away. Instead, she made a move for it herself. Being both spry and quick on her feet, Jacklyn moved to intercept the boy and with great force, bear hug him into submission. As she did, she scowled right into his face, simply saying, "please, keep apologizing for- " she was interrupted, however, as she felt a creepily cold tongue go across her face. Having been licked by the Haunter, Jacklyn shuttered and threw Dennis at his own pokemon in reaction saying, "ew, gross, ew."
  16. Alois continued to prod at the girl until she finally seemed to wake back up. The boy jumped back fairly quickly as she seemed to begin panicking, talking about compensation and the like and only further making herself out to be all the more bizarre in his otherwise currently bizarre hometown. All the same, the boy merely watched as the strange girl explained what her business was here - that being a fruit stand vendor who went around selling something to do with lemons, and helping them? The boy didn't really quite understand it, that did stick out to him about what she said. Before he could fully process what his thoughts were, though, he let out a small chortle at the sight of the woman being interrupted by the beaver. Glancing down at it, Alois was still not sure what was up with the strange animal, and just watched as she tried to the calm the overgrown fruity lizard..."Peaches." Once she was finished talking, Alois simply gestured to himself as Gunther had pointed him out as the only local from here. After both he and Adel had asked their questions to her, the boy thought about it for a moment saying, "wait...so you set up a stall here. In the morning. Without any hassle or without talking to anybody? And no one stopped you? Like at all?" Looking to the others, he said, "alright, yeah, everything's fucked here." Turning to the beaver who had slapped the Isaurian away, he asked, "well guy, where the hell were you this morning?" Tsetseg wasn't sure why the woman thought that she was so safe when they themselves weren't. After all, Ciela had managed to bite her and when she did the woman still seemed to be injured by it. And Tsetseg was sure that foxes bit a lot harder. All the same the girl suddenly felt uneasy looking at the woman, as there seemed to be something very off coming from her as she continued speaking to Ciela, only for the lot of them to then be called in by Licorice. Slowly making her way in, Tsetseg was surprised at the sight. She had known that Licorice seemed to be feeling a bit antsy while they were walking around, but here she looked closer to a rabid animal then her usual self. As such, even though she was now a much poofier fox due to her being so disheveled, even Tsetseg knew not to approach the woman. Keeping her distance, the girl nodded as Penelope gave her answer, simply echoing, "yeah, yeah. We can't just leave you behind." Tsetseg then shot Ciela a swift glare as she mentioned this being her fault again. The young huntress wasn't exactly sure what it was that the blue haired woman could've possibly been experimenting with, and given the state that Licorice was in now, she wasn't entirely sure that she wanted her to keep doing anything with those "aphro" something or others. Looking back to Licorice with more concern on her face, she said, "yeah, can we help at all?"
  17. As Kelsey had seemed to cool off, Stella was then jolted to a more stiff and alert posture as she heard the voice of the vice principal. Seeing the woman up close now, the intimidating aura that she had shown earlier was certainly on much fuller display before her. While the woman didn't actually seem to be lecturing them, as thankfully Kelsey had backed off, it made Stella wary of what would happen if they did get into one. All the same, as the woman mentioned the situation with rooming, Stella simply nodded her head and said, "thank you ma'am. We won't." With that done, the girl looked to the others, as Vivian had mentioned getting to Stella's room the girl simply nodded. "Yeah, let's see if we can't find out where we're staying." Stella was currently in a mood to be anywhere but here. She was never a party kind of person and the longer that she had stayed here not partying the more awkward she began to feel. Couple that with her torn bag, and that while the new girl Vivian had seemed to be nice and meant no ill will, Stella still felt decidedly uncomfortable around her. Thankfully, this was only going to have to last until she had gotten to her room, and then she would be able to hide in there for the time being. "Oh..." Was all that came out of Stella's mouth at the realization upon leaving the party. Her tone was at once defeated and resigned to her fate, as she had found that the overly enthusiastic girl that was helping carry her stuff was indeed roommates. She had been informed that the selection process had been random, and thus she hadn't expected to actually be roomed with Kelsey. Though it was a bit of a bitter realization, it was one she could accept as there was only currently one person she knew of that she was uncomfortable with the idea of being roommates with. And as fate would have it, in all of its all too common practical jokes, that would be her roommate for the time being. "Well uh, what are the odds, right?" After saying that to her now roommate she said, "guess we should head over and check it out then, right?" Looking to Kelsey, she asked, "want to come with?" Stella, figured that Kelsey would rather go look for her own room and roommate at the moment, and that she also probably hadn't cooled off entirely from earlier with the girl, yet Stella herself didn't want to be left to her own devices just yet.
  18. With the matter taken care of by Rayor, Leon looked to his old acquaintance and said, "well, guess that's that." The bandit leader's death brought no comfort to Leon. He was merely a part of a much greater problem that the group was going to need to deal with. All the same, he had felt somewhat anxious to continue their journey to Enta, as he only grew more worried about more bandits or patrols that would find them the longer they stood still. However, it had appeared that some of the group wasn't done yet with here, as some continued to socialize with one another and then there was still the matter of the red haired Yonan that was supposedly going the same direction as them. There was also something else Leon needed to take care of. Though Rastarn was not her government, Leon knew that Alexis was still an Aeoran. And she herself had been a particularly pious one at that. While he couldn't think she would bring them harm, nor had she shown any intention to in this fight yet, there was still the matter of what came after. As such, Leon looked to the girl and simply asked, "so, what're you going to do now?" Edda, meanwhile, had simply been standing still. The news that the bandit had given them before his death only seemed to cause her to grow more nervous. And, in addition to that, confused. Edda wasn't sure why the Aeoran government was going after them so viciously. That they knew of her should've been unlikely. And the other two she had met so far didn't seem to warrant such a wide sweeping search. Of course, it was possible that what she had heard was true, and that the Aeorans were actually just that bloodthirsty to her people. But... The girl then eyed the Jourans up as well. Though they didn't seem to be anything special at first glance, the girl was still not sure what to make of them. And, with more suspicion, the girl eyed up Ada. She was certainly a strange one to Edda - which was saying something given how strange the entire rest of the group had been - and that she couldn't understand the concept of an Aeoran Shaman, only made her more wary of the girl. In the end, she simply stood where she was silently waiting for the group to move on, but would keep alternating between shooting glances at Ada and looking to the ground.
  19. As the young Brionne continued to make her way towards the fight, she could only begin to bubble with annoyance towards their opponent. She had looked up to Moltres and from what she could tell, the older girl was just a wandered of sorts. She had told Heatran she'd come to meet him again, and he was just trying to keep the town from exploding. And Yveltal...well, they were a weird and dangerous one for sure. Solgaleo and Lunala had helped the people evacuate from Alola when it was under attack. And she was sure the Tapu were doing their part to protect the people as well. Almost all of the legends she had met seemed to be nice people - helpful people who were looking out for the non-legends. There had only been one who she had thought was a big, dumb jerk, but even then she also had ended up leaving them alone. As such, Marie couldn't get Allie. She wasn't a fan of senseless violence. Even if her blood had been quick to boil in Trailsau, she didn't particularly enjoy the street brawl. And she certainly didn't enjoy the violence and murder that Blake had wanted to start. As such, she didn't like Allie. The girl was nothing but senseless violence. Either all of her experiences with legends had been bad ones or she was a big jerk just like Blake. Marie supposed that Allie could also just be dumb, and didn't know how else to be a chaser, but no matter the reason, Marie knew that deep down whatever Allie was doing was wrong. And while Marie didn't like having to come to blows so often, she didn't want to see Allie do something so evil as kill Heatran. As such, the girl had begun to work herself up as she got closer to the fight. Of course, she couldn't much except work herself up and pick herself up off the ground. After all, there had been a strong earthquake that had been rumbling around them as they got close, and it had really offset her balance. And while she hadn't fallen yet, the sudden second earthquake that followed seemed to be good enough to knock her down. All the same, picking herself back up she eventually moved over towards Randy, who had already been engaged in fighting the girl and said, "yeah, there's no point anyway, since we already beat Heatran before you!"
  20. Ryia had only been able to watch the scene play out before her. The council woman, in spite of her delicate looking appearance, had been seamlessly made her way over to and had slammed Lindow into the ground faster than Ryia could even begin to realize it happened. When all was said and done, Ryia simply nodded along with Pyrrha's comment about not wanting to chase after her, not at all eager to poke the proverbial hornet's nest that was Hannah. With everyone seeming to be ready to enter the city, Ryia looked to the water chosen, who seemed to be frazzled by the whole situation. Ryia wasn't entirely sure what her past with the woman had been, but at the very least her present seemed to be something uncomfortable. As such, she looked to the girl and said, "um, are you feeling alright?" Once that was all said and done, the girl had made her way into the bustling city of Myrha. The girl had quite the excited look on her face, as though the sights were new the atmosphere had reminded her of home. Not necessarily where she was from specifically, but the high energy market places were something she had always adored. From afar, of course, as having the gold they had to spend now was something entirely foreign to her. She couldn't think of anything she herself needed, and getting something that was luxury was not a thought that the young girl was capable of having. Not only that, but as they were the group's funds together, she felt spending probably any of it when they themselves had a better idea on how to both use it and greater needs than her own. As such, the girl simply said, "I'll um, go food shopping for now. If um, anyone wants to come along."
  21. Nine had been expecting a few things. He had expected either the Shedinja to be provoked by him and attack him, or to ignore him and keep up their mark against teh legend. In the case of the former he wasn't really sure he could win against them in his current state so it was little more than a bluff. In the case of the latter, he again wasn't quite sure what he'd be able to do to stop them. As such, Nine was prepared for nothing good to come of this, but was going to do his best as he always did. Needless to say, what followed was far out his realm of expectations. In a flash the legend had seemed to change before him. And in a blink they had managed to dispatch of the two Shedinja with seemingly trivial effort. While Nin was surprised by the legend's sudden surge of power -though they were still a legend - that did little to prepare him for what came next. As he turned to face the legend, his face went stunned as he looked at who was now before him. What was once a graceful and peaceful looking maiden seemed to be replaced with none other than a young boy. In appearance, they didn't seem all that older than Victini and their attitude certainly seemed to fit more in line with that legend's, then the peaceful and pacifist one that he had spoken to not ten seconds ago. Maybe he was simply hallucinating from blood loss? That didn't quite make sense though, as a cursory glance revealed that Nine was not, in fact, bleeding - or at least to any severe extent. Regardless, he couldn't quite make sense of what he was seeing, his mind a whir both from shock and overall pain and fatigue that all he could do was let out a, "ha." Wincing in pain as the curse radiated through his body once again, Nine lost his balance and toppled onto the ground. With a smile on his face, mixed with pain and disbelief he just let out another, "hahahaha. Man. You legends, you really are all surprises." Nine winced in pain again, the laughing doing nothing to ease his pain as he said, "glad to see you're alright." Still lying down on his back, Nine looked up as best he could towards the ghosts of his party saying, "I don't suppose you guys know what to do about a nasty curse, or something?"
  22. Ross raised her eyebrow at the mention of Morgan's father being a lich. Ross wasn't super genre savvy when it came to undead things, as thankfully she didn't have to ever deal with them...much. However, her limited understanding of a lich was something like a living pile of bones. As such, it raised a few questions in Ross's head that she didn't think needed answering, and she quickly attempted to move on with the topic. This was done for her, though, as a security guard made their over to the trio. While Ross could understand that creating a giant skeleton out of nowhere would upset people, there was something that seemed to be odd about it to her. It might've been that the girl was already thinking the world that she had found herself in was bizarre enough, and as such doing something odd was nothing out of the ordinary. But more than that, Ross had noticed that there was some people already looking at the scene of the three girls talking with the guard. That they seemed to be taking photos and likely gossiping about what was going on was what started to get to the girl. Right. It wasn't odd at all. It was just annoying. Not quite hiding said annoyance on her face, the girl simply said, "right," towards Aurora's comment. Though looking to the side, Ross simply muttered, "not like anyone got hurt anyway." Looking back she said, "if we're free to go now," the girl looked away saying, "well, we should go look for something to eat. Since you paid for the movie tickets its only fair that I pick up the slack for the food."
  23. As both Hibiki and Yuuka bluffed at the villain, she became slightly giddy to see that it had managed to that they had at least distracted the Gypsy woman. As they had finally been bested by their teacher, Yuuka seemed nothing short of thrilled. Even as their teacher had somewhat chastised them for their overall performance on the matter, it still didn't lower Yuuka's spirits any. Though this wasn't the first instance she had seen something like this in person, it was definitely the first time she had been a part of it herself, and as well the closest she had ever been in watching both parties fight against each other. As such, her mind was whirring with all different thoughts and ideas on what her classmates were capable of, about where they were lacking and about what they had actually done. Of course, seeing her teacher in action as well, had made the young girl realize that she had probably needed to get in better shape if she were going to keep up such activities. The possibility of chronic back pains also was a motivator to do so as well. With both Herc and Taro being carted off to the hospital, both of them seeming to suffer great injuries for their heroics they displayed, the rest of them were taken out to have ice cream. Yuuka, paying no mind to the stares that they were receiving, simply ordered a small cup of rum raisin ice cream, as she stood around with the others. As their teacher asked about their thoughts on the day, Yuuka smiled at her classmate's answer. "I admire your zeal Himura-san. As for me," the girl took a spoonful of her ice cream, eating it before looking back to her teacher. "Well, I must say, it was certainly a far more exhilarating experience then I was expecting today. And painful for that matter." Nodding to herself she then said, "but I still had fun working together with my fellow classmates, and it certainly was a joy to see the criminals put away. And I look forward to many more experiences of the matter." Looking to everyone she said, "as such, I shall remain in all of your care and I must applaud everyone's work today. Good job UA. Yay," giving a small cheer at the end, pumping her cup lightly into the air she then looked to Hibiki. With genuine curiosity on her face she asked, "oh right, Himura-san. Do you think you can actually turn people into vampires?"
  24. As she was outed, Tsetseg flopped forward in part surprise at the woman's deduction. Coming out from her cover, laying down on the ground, the girl was made very curious by this "Dariela" person. On the one had, she had said she was a friend to Licorice, and naturally that meant Tsetseg was happy to speak to the person, at least under normal circumstances. On the other hand, she wasn't quite sure why but there was something inherently unnerving to the young huntress about the way the woman spoke. That and that she had spotted her almost immediately, Tsetseg hadn't been so impressed with another person since she had met one of newest and greenest friends. While this was confusing enough, she was still not entirely sure what had happened to Licorice in the first place - just that Ciela gave her something weird and now Licorice was acting weird as a result. As such, most of what was being talked about seemed to be going over her head. Though, she was able to understand that Dariela kept talking about them needing to leave or they'd be eaten - or something to that extent. And that she was very clearly making Ciela and Penelope mad. Which, in turn, made Tsetseg annoyed by the woman too. "Yeah, yeah!" Tsetseg shouted, still lying on the ground covered in leaves and twigs. "We're going to wait for Licorice to be alllll better!" Nodding to herself, the girl then wondered about something else. As Dariela continued to try and block Ciela's path, Tsetseg herself not interfering in this small game they were playing as she was unsure how she felt about her blue haired companion approaching Licorice when she had been the one to cause this, she asked, "hey Dariela. Are you a uh...sheep? Mouse? Um, uhhh," the girl was confusing herself as she attempted to speak in the same language the enigmatic woman had been using before just asking, "are you fine out here? By yourself an all?"
  25. Stella's discomfort about the question was plain as day on her face. This was only accentuated as Kelsey had ended up shoving Vivian as a result of her discomfort. On the one hand, that Kelsey was willing to get as confrontational as she did on her behalf nearly brought a smile to her face. Though, the combination of all the events that had lead up to this, and the situation itself only seemed to weigh more and more on Stella. She, once again, started to feel more aware of her leg than she had been before. The off center feeling, like her weight was all lopsided and her balance uneven. The cold feeling of the steel pressing against her skin. And worst of all the strange aches that seemed to radiate all around the metal. While she simply watched Vivian apologize, Stella simply said, "it's um..." Well, she couldn't exactly say it was fine. She did find the question offensive after all. However, she backtracked and said, "apology accepted. Just, try not to ask about it in the future. Alright?" Her tone still seemed to display some discomfort, though now mixed with some kind of chiding in it. Looking to her friend she said, "hey uh Kellz, you think we should go and figure out where we're staying now?"
