  2. "Nice trick." Suda was caught off guard as the girl started spinning like crazy. Suda kept an eye on the girl as she suddenly became what could best be described as a human drill. This was not something he was expecting, only having a bit to brace himself by putting his arms in front of him as the girl's legs slammed into him. This broke Suda's concentration on his orb, causing it to fade away. The girl, and Hibiki, would feel whatever was pulling them to stop. "Not bad!" Suda said, moving to the side as, presumingly, the girl was send flying farther than she'd expected to. "For a circus act." He said, turning back to Hibiki. She wasn't doing much to help at the moment, maybe he had made a miscalculation. That didn't matter right now, as he turned back to the girl. He had to figure out a way to get her to give him her medals, as pinning her to the floor like that wouldn't work. He cracked his knuckles, excited to be given a real challenge after so long. He tilted his head towards Hibiki. "You doing ok there?" He said, eyes still locked onto the other girl.
  3. No one else seemed to know what a Battle Royal was. Well, maybe Jacklyn did, but he wasn't sure if she actually knew or was just excited. Either way, it seemed that, at the very least, Oswald was game. He turned to the boy. "More or less, yeah." Ivan said, reaching for his Pokeball and releasing Po as the others did the same. "There's a bit more to it, but it's not important." He said. Truthfully, he had forgotten the specific rules for how a Battle Royal worked, only having participated in a few of them. He had thought it was a common place thing, but that apparently wasn't the case. Po looked up to Ivan, tilting his head. "C'mon, we're doin a Royal." Ivan said, leading to Po tilting his head in confusion. That was right, he had never done a Battle Royal with Po, only with... "We're battlin'" He said to Po, which got him excited. The panda Pokemon took a glance around the room, tiling his head when he saw the strange bird Pokemon. Po assumed that the bird was going to be his opponent, which got the panda's blood pumping. Ivan started making his way towards where they'd be fighting, gesturing the others to follow him. He didn't show it, but Ivan was a bit excited for this.
  4. Raijin rolled his eyes at Zirco's outrage. Didn't this idiot realize that they didn't have a say in the matter. The boy let out a sigh, sinking lower into his chair as the others spoke. As the others kept babbling on, a man in a white coat entered the room. The man, who called himself Blues Kaiba, gave them a rather interesting proposition. So they spent all that time in torture in order to form some sort of superhero team? It sounded like the plot to some super hero movie, almost like a sick joke on all of them. However, rent free housing with that much money anywhere he wanted was too good to pass up. Plus, Raijin knew deep down that they didn't really have a say in the matter; hell, he was surprised that Kaiba was even offering this to them, although it seemed Kaiba didn't seem keen on the project. This was his ticket out of this hell. He sat in his chair, listening to the other's responses. Shannon actually managed to get a chuckle out of Raijin, as she boldly tried to get more money out of him. His grin was almost immediately washed away when she started on again with the family bullshit. The look of disgust he was given Shannon become a look of shock as he turned to Kiyoko. Was she insane? No; she was just stupid. The next two seemed to be concerned about Hearthome City. He didn't hear much about any of the other cities; the only place he kept tabs on what the shithole known as Taccon City. Another one stepped up, asking about about her memory. There was something about Hypatia that caught his attention. She had memory lost apparently. That sounded rough; even with how much he hated the shit he had to go through, he'd never want to forget it. Another timid boy also agreed to join. As everyone was talking, his eyes shifted over to Tora. She seemed lost, not even knowing what a duel dragon was. She also seemed to be trying to get everyone's attention, which wasn't working until... "Everyone, shut up!!" Even Raijin sat up straight, not expecting the girl's outburst. She seemed scared shitless, making Raijin feel bad for the poor girl. It reminded him of how he felt when he first enrolled into this nightmare. Still, shakily so, she also agreed to join in. Raijin stood up. "I'm in!" He shouted, with the first ounce of excitement found in his voice in a long time. He cracked his knuckles. "The sooner I get out of this mess, the better!" He turned to the rest of the group. He didn't like it, but he was going to have to talk to these buffoons at some points; after all, he had to learn about the other cities to pick his permanent vacation spot.
  5. The atmosphere in Tegur's pub was always inviting to Cyan, although it was quieter than he'd like. It made sense though, it was rather early. "Yo Tegur!" Cyan shouted, before stopping and freezing for a second. He saw Tegur sitting next to the boss lady herself, a cup that was a lot larger than he imagined a women like her would drink. And were those... sparks!? Tegur had been holding back on him, it seems! He made a mental note to ask for something more exotic as he made his way towards the duo. As he was walking, however, he received a message. From: Morgan To: Cyanthrax Hey, jerkwad, I'm bored. Is there anything fun you had in mind? The demon let out a grumble. What the fuck did she want with him? He was tempted to tell her to fuck off, but as he typed out his favorite word he stopped. He did want to break the monotony of his schedule, and Morgan was at least interesting to talk to. Reluctantly he replied. From: Cyanthrax To: Morgan come over to tegurs. we can figure somethin out over a drink After sending the message, Cyan let out an annoyed sigh, walking up towards one of the robots. "So..." He nudged over to Mauvache, his lips curling into a sly grin. "...how do I get something from that menu?"
  6. Club Day. Hoshiko was excited for today, although she wasn't entirely sure what exactly a club was. That didn't matter though; she would learn as she went out. She was excited to go out and talk to her fellow students, maybe even make new friends. Maybe she'd bump into Melissa this time. Hoshiko smiled as she thought about her roommate; she was making improvements already, even if they were a bit minor. She nodded as she headed out of the door, wearing a simple black jacket over her uniform. She walked around the campus, making small talk with the various club members, mostly about what their club was about. It was fun, walking around and talking to people, but none of the clubs seemed to speak to her. The people were nice, especially the boy sitting at the Wood shop Club, but none of the activities really resonated with her. One of them was even about cloud watching which, despite being reassured by the kind boy, sounded rather boring. Still, she was having a good time just talking to her fellow schoolmates. As she was walking and talking, however, her eyes glanced over to one rather popular club. From where she was, she could make out that it was some sort of duel... club? Team? She was sure, but it didn't matter. It looked appealing, but what really caught her eye was the tent next to it. It had a sort of vibe that attracted Hoshiko, she wasn't sure what it was. Was it one of the clubs? She'd have to check it out once it opened; after all, it'd be rude to barge in. Instead, she elected to hang out by the Duel Team, since it was next to the intriguing tent. As she made her way towards the booth, she recognized the white haired boy from the other day at Coffee Cards. "Excuse me." Hoshiko said, stepping towards the crowd that had formed around the team. She looked at Hiraku, as he seemed to be the one working the booth. "I'm new around here. Is this some sort of Dueling Club?" She asked, not entirely sure what the booth was all about. She gave the boy a smile, tilting her head slightly.
  7. Southshore Forest Team Showdown Scarlet managed to hold Veronica for a while, however, her grip wouldn't last forever. "You don't understand... none of you do." Veronica shook her head, staring straight at Scarlet. "I suppose words won't work on you. In the end, force has always been the greatest persuader." Scarlet let out a cry as the biting attack pierced through her outer shell. Instinctively, she stumbled back a bit from the attack. "Trust us... we understand completely." Scarlet responded bitterly, her eyes glancing over to behind Veronica. She saw the others starting their onslaught on Veronica... and Scarlet was in the blast zone. "You're blinded by your sense of 'justice', we understand that perfectly." Scarlet said, crouching slightly. She then launched herself backwards, her wings fluttering, as she dashed as far away from where everyone was attacking. She felt herself nearly stumble and fall on the ground as she flew back, but barely managed to stay on two feet. Scarlet let out a pant, placing one of her pincers on one of the holes left in her armor. She would have to be more careful. Juyu Team Karaoke "Huh?" Lok shook his head, having dozed off a bit while on the wagon. "Oh... thank you." He said, taking the chunk of chocolate. However, it would quickly become apparent that he wouldn't need the chocolate to wake up, as he quickly found himself being propelled at high speeds on the wagon. Lok quickly found himself gripping onto the side of the wagon, nearly losing his grip on the side as he let out a scream. The chocolate, with a sizable bite on it, went flying through the air as Lok prioritized himself over it. Eventually, the cart slowed down enough for Lok to be able to hear everyone else. After letting out a bit of heavy breathing, Lok spoke up. "Well... I guess this is one way to travel the world." He said, stumbling over the side. As he looked down the side, he immediately pulled himself back into the wagon, ghostly pale. "Oh we're... we're really high huh?" He said, letting out a nervous chuckle.
  8. sometimes I think my favorite type is bug and not electric. this keeps me up at night
  9. The walk was rather uneventful, as Suda followed Hibiki, until he could start hearing the sounds of a kid crying. "I'm going in there; wait out here for just a bit!" Suda shrugged as they approached the cave. Hibiki then suddenly jumped, apparently having heard the dangerous girl again. Her warning to not go there only made Suda want to go there more, but he decided to comply for now. "Alright, but the next cave is mine!" He said, leaning back on the wave wall entrance. He waited for what felt like hours, but was actually just a few minutes, when a deafening screech echoed out of the cave. Suda had to cover his ears as he heard what sounded like Hibiki screaming. So she could do that? Pretty handy to know, although they definitely weren't flying under the radar now. He was pretty sure anyone that happened to be around the area could hear the loud burst of sound. Suda prepared himself to fight whatever cause Hibiki to scream like that. Unsurprisingly, Hibiki came out of the cave shortly after the noise. "Second badge, get! And um, sorry if I hurt your ears or something just now, but..." Well that was good, they had an extra badge. "Don't worry about it, I'm..." Before he could finished his statement, a strange girl came out of the cave following his ally. Suda smirked as the girl threatened them. "Stand behind me; grab onto me if you have to." Suda said to Hibiki, stepping in front of the girl. He seemed to be staring not at the girl but at a spot on the ground beneath her. "How about..." And, with the flick of his wrist, a black orb appeared on the spot he was glaring at, pulling the girl towards the ground with exceptional force. The grass around it seemed to be pulled by the orb as well; the blades that happened to be next to it pulled straight out of the ground. Hibiki would feel a force pulling her towards the orb as well, although Suda seemed to be completely unphased by the sudden gravitational forces. "...you give me your badges, and make it easier for the both of us." He seemed to be continuously glaring at the orb instead of the girl, his grin still on his face.
  10. Raijin leaned back on his chair as he watched Mr. E go around the room, sinking further down as he put his feet on the table. He wasn't sure what the hell was up with this clown but he didn't mind; at the very least, it seemed like he wasn't going to be a stickler like Mr. Sato. He might have been insane, but Mr. E was definitely an improvement. Raijin even chuckled a bit at the slumber party comment. They were apparently waiting for another person to show up. Raijin took a glance at the others around him, getting a good look at the group that he was apparently going to be teaming up. There seemed to be a lot of females in the group, something Raijin didn't mind at all. Two of the girls introduced themselves, whether they did it again or not he didn't know, although this time they were mentioning their Duel Dragons. Raijin simply rolled his eyes, thrusting himself forward as he put his feet off of the table and sat up straight. The girl with the rather interesting hair talked about them as if they were a family rubbed him the wrong way. "Let's get something straight before we continue our little intros." He leaned forward, resting his head on his hand as he spoke. "We ain't a fuckin' family. At best we're cellmates." He glanced at the others. "Anyways, E already said everything anyone needs to know. Well..." The boy threw himself back on his seat, pulling out a card from his pocket, holding it up sheepishly. "I guess since we're sharing dragon's, mine's 91 Thunder Spark Dragon." He held it for a bit, before putting it back.
  11. Raijin's day started just like any other; with the most obnoxious alarm blaring in his room. An old man sat next to the alarm on a wooden chair, reading what looked like a newspaper, as Raijin let out a groan. He hated waking up early, but he didn't have much of a choice; there were no buttons on the alarm clock, only a key slot to stop the noise. One would think someone would get used to waking up at 5 AM after doing it for months, but not Raijin, as he fruitlessly slammed the top of the clock. After some incoherent muttering, Rajin got up, rubbing his eyes as he turned to the old man. "Good, you're awake." The old man spoke with a stern voice, slowly getting up and taking out a key from his pocket as Raijin stretched. "You didn't forget what today is, did you?" "Ugh" Raijin responded, getting off of the bed. "Yeah, I know." He shook his head, letting out a loud yawn as he cracked his neck. "Do we really gotta do this though?" The old man nodded. "Get ready. We leave in half an hour." Without waiting for a response, the old man got up and headed towards the door. As Raijin fully stood up, the handler stopped. "Oh, and try and make yourself look at least presentable." Raijin simply scoffed, rolling his eyes as the old man left. Today was going to be a long day. The car ride from Taccon City to the Satellite. Raijin's face frowned; even the streets of Taccon City seemed like a better place to be than this run down building. "We're late." the man said sternly, a slight tone of anger in his voice. He glared at Raijin, who simply shrugged. "Calm down, we're only a bit late" Raijin said, rolling his eyes. "Stand up straight." The man said, smacking Raijin on the back. "And try not to make a fool of yourself in there." Raijin growled, standing up straight, before turning back to the old man. "You ain't comin' with, Mr. Sato?" The old man shook his head, extending his hand out. "Well, I can't say it was a pleasure, but somehow I'm going to miss ya." As Raijin took the handshake, the old man gave the boy a cold and small smile. "Same goes to you, Mr. Hanazawa. Good luck." As he let go of the boys hand, his expression quickly shifted back to its stone cold glare. "You'll need it." Once inside, Raijin found that he was one of the last to show up, as there were a bunch of other people already seated. "Sup?" Raijin said, taking the closest available seat to him. "Name's Raijin Hanazawa." He said briefly, slouching on the chair as he sat on it. "So... anyone else comin' or?"
  12. The bat girl seemed startled, as she seemed to be going something. Maybe she had some sort of super hearing? "Teaming up is a great idea! Let's do it! As a matter of fact, I was listening around for badges, and heard something over that way." She confirmed his suspicions, and seemed to like the idea of teaming up. Good, this would make this all that much easier. She pointed to the other side, saying something about some dangerous girls. He was tempted to ask to go there, but decided against it - as much as he wanted to go there, this wasn't the time to socialize. Normally he would be down, but right now he was in a race with beetleman. Plus, Hibiki was already moving. "Sorry~ Who are you again? Let's walk and talk." Did this girl already forget his name? He was a bit hurt by this, but he'd have to put his feelings aside for a second. "Suda Hiroharu, the one and only!" He said, glaring at the girl's wings. "And we don't need to walk ya know, I can fly too!" Then he let out a sigh. "Although I guess you can hear better if we walk..." He said, tossing his arms. This was a bit slow, but it made sense. He scanned the area to see if he could see any medals, but none seemed to appear. "Well, ya let me know if anything else comes up." He said, cracking his knuckles behind his head.
  13. Cyan woke up early that morning, groggy. The past couple of days had been rather monotonous, despite the addition of new faces. Wake up, drink, eat, fight, drink again. Today, though, he felt like that was going to change. Mainly because, at the moment, he felt strange. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, although the message he got soon after seemed to cover it all. "A free day, huh?" Cyan frowned, as this meant it was unlikely he would fight today. "That's one way to break the cycle..." He groaned, picking himself up. Looks like it was either time to do an event, or simply explore the place. He'd figure that out later. Right now he needed a drink. He made his way to Tegur's pub, as he usually did around this time of day.
  14. "oh, that's a good idea! But we probably shouldn't too stray from the boat. After all, a few hours can go by like that -" Ivan nodded as the girl physically expressed how the hours can fly by. "But, we could train against each other on the boat. After all, I'm sure Rus would love to spar with Po and Moo - oh but Cherry didn't do much yet, so I'm sure she'd love to just as much!" That... wasn't a bad idea either. It was probably better than going in the wild and battling random things, now that he thought about it. As he was thinking, he was suddenly taking a group picture, which Jacklyn showed the group. The picture was... less than exception, due to how quickly it had been taken. Ivan's head wasn't even completely in the frame, only his chin showing up. Belle, as he expected, didn't seem to train. Or do much of anything else. Ivan didn't really care, simply shrugging as Belle went back into the ship. He still didn't know what to make of that girl. Ivan turned back to Jacklyn. "Well, let's get started!" Ivan grinned as Root stood in front of him, a bit bruised but still more than ready to fight. "Heheheh," the girl chuckled, a smirk on her face as she looked at her foe before her. "A worthy opponent you turned out to be, however! We won't be beat just y-" Ivan was ready to retort, when suddenly a duo approached them. Their training had been interrupted as Jacklyn and Cherry went on to greet the newcomers. Ivan simply sighed, following behind the girl. "Yo." Ivan's eye's met for a moment with the blue haired boy of the group, before drifting to the other one. Jacklyn had already introduced him, so he didn't bother giving his name. He turned to Jacklyn, rubbing the back of his head. "I guess..." Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind. He turned back to the others, his face changing from being stone cold to a small grin. "We now have enough people to do a Battle Royal." He said, cracking his knuckles. "This boat ride just got a bit more exciting."
  15. Octomic (Octopus + Mimic, a play on Atomic) Poison / Psychic Illusion / Color Change / Intimidate (HA) 51/60/67/115/91/106 [490] Notable Moves Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Poison Jab Psychic, Psyshock, Zen Headbutt Dark Pulse and Knock Off Shadow Ball and Hex Surf Ice Beam and Blizzard U-Turn Taunt Light Screen and Reflect Encore Mimic Spikes and Toxic Spikes Probably some other stuff I'm missing Flavor Octomic is a radioactive Mimic Octopus, Illusion acting as mimic octopus' titular ability to mimic other animals. This is also where Color Change and Intimidate come, although obviously not as signature as Illusion. The Poison typing comes from its radioactivity and, more importantly, the fun fact that the animals that the mimic octopus tents to act as are poisonous. Give me a Pokemon that works on a weather team but has a typing that is not common for that weather (for example, a Pokemon that benefits from Sun that is also not a Fire or a Grass type).
  16. "You know, you might be on to something," Suda stepped back as the giant beetle man walked up to him. Wasn't he too old to be hanging around a bunch of high schoolers? Anyways, it didn't really matter. The large beetle man brought up an interesting idea. "How about we have a little bet? You and me, last person back here gotta do somethin' real embarrassing, I dunno, wearing a tutu, eating a unicycle, I dunno, we'll work that out later," Suda grinned as the armored man continued, turning to the rest of the class. "In fact, why don't we extend this little bet to anyone else who wants to join," He paused for a second more, before moving in for the kill. "That is, of course, unless you're afraid of a bug beating all of ya," This was the best way to weed out the most fun people to play with. "No pressure though," Suda let out a laugh. "Oh, you're on beetle man!" Suda scratched his chin, grinning. "I'll have to think of a suitable act for you to perform later." Suda turned to the other boy that had joined. He gave him a small frown. "You're no fun" He said, before shrugging. He took another look around him. "Doesn't look like anyone else is takin' the bet." He shrugged. "Guess it's just you and me, big guy." He turned back to the big guy, grinning. Before he could say much else, however, the announcements began. "So we all get a badge to start with, huh..." Suda muttered, nudging the big guy. "You better not wimp out when I beat ya~!" He said, making his way towards the front. "The name's Suda Hiroharu!" He proudly shouted, striking a pose as he gleamed at his crowd, before grabbing the badge. He knew it was going to be heavy, although it was a bit heavier than even he thought. Still, he managed to easily hold it as he grinned. "And yes, I do autographs." He winked as he stepped off, heading towards the examination area. As he made his way, he saw one of the girls from the crowd... scream? It looked like she was screaming, although he couldn't hear anything. She had an obvious bat quirk, and a keen sense of style with the sunglasses she was wearing. She'd make for a perfect first fan. Suda ran after the girl. "Hey, Hibiki was it?" Suda said, grinning as he brushed the hair off of his face. "I overheard some of the other students are teaming up... how 'bout you and I group up too? I'm sure the two of us will get through this no problem!" He said with confidence, striking a pose as he did.
  17. Today marked a very important day for Suda. He had spend countless hours preparing for this day, not including the hours it took for him to make himself more than presentable for his crowd. He spent a few minutes of those hours staring at himself in the mirror, making sure that everything about his style was perfect. "You can do this, Suda." He said to himself, tilting his head in various angles. "U.A. better watch itself!" He gave himself a confident smirk, striking a small pose in the mirror as he felt satisfied with his looks. Cracking his knuckles, he stepped out of the bathroom and started heading out towards the school. His timing was as impeccable as always; as if to specifically greet him, the doors to U.A. swung open as Suda made his arrival. There were already some other students gathering around, none of which immediately impress him. What did impress him were the two people that came out of the door; not so much the old man, but the one in the samurai outfit. Suda grinned as he followed the old man into the building, feeling a ting of excitement. The goal of the test would be to grab some badges from the testing grounds. This seemed simple enough to Suda, although he imagined the difficulty would come from the others. He took a glance at the others as they loudly chanted excitedly, and smirked. That kind of excitement is exactly what he wants to see in his future crowd. "Ah, I love the sound of a roaring crowd!" Suda loudly proclaimed, stepping a bit ahead. "Let's hope there's some bite to everyone's bark. I'd hate a boring victory!"
