  1. <ALERT! ALERT! TOTAL OF 16 VILLAINS DETECTED IN TRAINING COURSE ZETA! ALERT! ALERT! LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES COMMENCING! MUST EXTERMINATE!> The blaring sounds of sirens filled the air as Natalia saw something shift and move in the shadows between the buildings. She was pretty sure this was some kind of set-up by the school, but the idea that 16 villains had, in fact, infiltrated the school wasn't something that was out of the question. After all, Natalia knew how incompetent these hero types could be - her homeroom teacher definitely didn't help this impression. She clenched her fist as a swarm of robots surrounded her, their glowing red eyes fixed right on her. Smoke poured out of Natalia's body, cloaking the immediate area around her in a thick layer of purple smoke that surrounded all 10 of the robots. If there was even a sliver of a chance that there were villains in the fake city, that was enough for Natalia to take this deadly serious. "Looks like today isn't going to be a bore after all." She said, the robots firing their grappling hooks into the smoke. Two of the robots smashed their hooks into each other as Natalia made her way through her smokescreen, the cover of smoke following her. Despite how thick it was, she could see perfectly fine, as she ran through the streets, trying to find one of these villains. She wasn't sure if these robots were suppose to be the villains or the training bots attacking them; either answer concerned her. More concerning, however, was the mechanical roar of something that sounded huge. Whatever that was, it was probably related to the villain problem. Determined, she continued on, effortlessly dodging any attack from the robots in her traveling cover. As she continued on, she saw the source of the loud roar - a giant mechanical dinosaur, who was chasing catgirl and bubblegum. Anyone looking towards her would see a huge ball of smoke barreling through the streets, before dissipating and leaving the girl standing alone as she looked up at the robot. "I swear to god if this is some sort of test..." She bitterly remarked, turning towards her two classmates. "You two. Any signs of the actual villains?" She turned back towards the giant robot, letting out a heavy, visibly purple sigh as she saw the loud girl try to attack the machine from behind. "...this thing is in my way!" She shouted, smoke lightly emitting from her body, before turning towards them again. "We have to take this thing out, asap!" "If there's actually villains around, we have to stop them!"
  2. Ray walked into the room, deck shuffling in his hands as he spotted a certain pair of people. Patton and Dayna, these two were trouble. The former was a ticking time bomb - almost literally - and the other one rubbed him the wrong way. He wasn't sure why exactly, but it didn't help that she was the whole reason gambling was now forbidden. "Shit!" He thought, as he turned his head to face the boss himself. Well, this put a damper in his plan - unbeknownst to the boss and, hopefully, to everyone who had wanted to play cards with him, he did in fact intend on gambling. He stored the cards in his hand quickly into his coat. "Hey, Shawn! What's good, my dude?" He said casually, turning his head towards the other two. "Patton! Lovely to see the you here." He turned towards the other figure he had missed. "And Vera too! It's a whole party in here!" He grinned, rubbing the back of his head. "Why are there so many fucking people here!?" He thought to himself, turning back towards Dayna. "And you, Dayna. Shame about that gambling ban. Maybe don't be so obvious next time!" He said with a laugh, although he was basically staring daggers at her, before turning his attention back towards Shawn and Patton. He decided that he wasn't going to mention his game of cards to any of these clowns, each for their own specific reason.
  3. Lok Team ThunderWaves Lok let out a shout of joy as the women collapsed from the attack, before processing what had just happened. "She just wanted to help..." He repeated, clenching his fists. "...in desperation, she teamed up with those... monsters." He grit his teeth, as the portal opened up. He turned towards the others, who seemed happy to take a moment to catch their breaths. Lok hovered over the snow, legs crossed as he checked on his wounds. He counted his blessings, being surrounded by much stronger Gijinka than him, and was glad that he could at least be some sort of help. He took a bite from the berry that Keanu had passed him, nearly chocking as Taiga mentioned the idea of her taking up Kalia's spot. "Having to fight you... that's a scary thought!" He had seen what the girl was capable of doing, her brutal fighting style. He wasn't sure if he and Keanu would be able to take her on. "...I'm just glad both of you are on our side." He said, nervously chuckling as he took another bite from his berry. Once everyone had taken a moment to rest, Lok stood up, stretching. "Well, we didn't just come here just to stop now, right?" He said, marching forward. He felt a lot more confident now than he had at the beginning of all of this, ready to take on whatever challenge was on the other side with his new teammates. Scarlet Team SuperPower Scarlet let out a sigh of relief as Brooke's inferno of an attack finished her once hero. It was bittersweet, having defeated someone that she once considered unbeatable would normally be a good thing. However, the thought of her once idol falling from grace and being a Godslayer... it still didn't sit well with her. "The long haul..." She muttered, steam flowing from her body. There wasn't much time to dwell on her feelings, as the portal opened up. They were far from done here. Despite how much her body ached, she had to move forward. Her teammates seemed to have the same idea, ready to move on. Scarlet nodded, stepping forward. She turned towards Nani. "There's only one way this ends, and that's with us 'winning'" "I'll make sure of that."
  4. So they had to show off their quirks, and they had to take out these robots. Of course, some sort of show like this was to be expected on the first day, it only made sense considering the nature of the school. Some of the others went before her, although truth be told Natalia wasn't paying as much attention as some of the others. She just wanted to get this done and over with, to be honest. Still, it was hard not to be impressed by some of these quirks and their power. As that overexcited Kio kid finished, Natalia let out a sigh, stepping forwards. "Let's get this over with." She said, turning towards everyone. "The name's Natalia. Natalia Kemuri. But I guess you can all call me Cloaked Hero: Styxx, if we're getting all formal or whatever. My quirk is Smoke. It does what you think it does." She said, almost annoyed that she even had to explain all of this in front of everyone. Confidently, Natalia strolled towards one of the robots, letting out a heavy sigh. As she did, some smoke escaped from her mouth, before she looked up at one of the robots, whose eyes illuminated into a bright red. The smoke kept coming out of her mouth, surrounding her and the robot in a thin layer of purple smoke at the level of her ankles. The robot didn't seem to respond at all to the sudden veil of smoke, bringing up its arms to slam them into the ground. Natalia didn't budge, not even flinching as the metallic arms swung down. Instead, she simple closed her eyes, before seemingly vanishing. The robot slammed into the ground, leaving Natalia's gym clothing in a small crater on the ground, as a cloud of smoke approached it. The cloud surrounded the robot, before slipping into the seems between the robot's parts. The machine seemed confused, looking around to try and find the girl that was just in front of it, before it began to jerk around, as if something was moving inside of it. Its head bobbed a bit, before it popped clean off the body. Sticking out of the robot's neck was a very pale arm, the arm that had just struggled to punch its way through the robot. Slowly, the arm climbed its way out of the robot's body, Natalia slowly forming as she climbed out. A very thick layer of smoke surrounded her now naked body as she stood in front of the collapsed robot, making her way towards the pile of clothing left behind. She didn't even seem to be phased by the fact that she was only covered by her own smoke, as she nonchalantly put her gym clothing back on. With a brush of her hair, she stepped away from the rubble she had made, all the smoke dissipating as soon as she was properly clothed. As the students were showing off their quirks, a young man entered the training grounds, a tired expression on his face. In his hand was a mug of coffee, which he had brought with him since the morning, and over his shoulder was a bag. He had gotten an email at the last minute by Glory to help Epicenter with today's class. Or maybe it wasn't a last minute email; maybe he hadn't checked his email until about an hour ago. The actual answer didn't matter, all he knew is that he was late. He knew he was late, as nobody was in the classroom when he had hurried on over here to check. Seeing the youth of the next generation using their quirks on the robots double confirmed his suspicions. Exhaustively, he made his way next to Epicenter. "Sssssorry I'm late." He said, rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't sssssee the messsssage until not too long ago." He turned his attention towards the kids. The ground suddenly shook as Ms. Todoya turned toward the new arrival "I-i-i-i-King Kobra??? Wh-what email??? D-d-d-don't tell me Glory d-didn't trust me to handle this??!" "Ah, did he not tell you? That'sssss a very Glory thing to do, honessssstly." Kobra said, smirking softly. "But yesssss, I am here to help you with the kidsssss." He turned towards the students, seeing them go off with their quirks. "Ssssseemsssss like thingsssss are going well ssssso far!" He smiled, before taking a sip of his coffee.
  5. Wada was approached by Elsie's talking crow. This wasn't the first time he had talked to a bird, although this was the first time a bird was talking to him. He always knew birds could talk, everyone back in the forest doubted him, but he knew! This was a very exciting moment for Wada. "Oh, yes yes! I learned a lot of interesting things about this place!" He said with a wide grin, leaning on his mallet. He placed his hand on his chin, thinking. "Let me see, what did the ol' priest guy say..." He snapped his fingers. "Oh, right! The monster attacks! They seemed to be a recent thing. Starting about a month ago, and it seemed like its only getting worse..." He began to think once more. "What else... the attacks don't have anything to do with religion, at least the church doesn't seem to think so... there's a spooky fog before the creatures attack... they attack at a specific time... uhh... it started with a spotting of the creature... I think that's everything we got." He said, turning towards Corbin. "Oh, and the church! Its super cool! The glass is soooo nice!" "How about you? Learn anything interesting?"
  6. Things were going south faster and faster, becoming increasingly harder to deal with everyone around him. The guns above Joanna fired, however, instead of hitting the girl they hit the boy's stand. Which, of course, caused the bullets to shoot back up and destroy the guns on the ceiling. This wouldn't be a problem, if Kace and『21 GUNS』weren't preoccupied with the hail of gunfire aimed towards him. A wall of guns appeared in front of Kace and his stand, blocking the gunfire aimed towards him, as Kace stopped firing. He turned to deal with the other two, but it was too late. Joanna was now in his face,『CD SPACE』grappling『21 GUNS』off of the ground. As it did, all of the guns he had manifested disappeared into dust. Instinctively, Kace stepped back, making his way towards his stand and ripping the gun from its face, seemingly destroying the stand as he held the pistol in his hand. He placed the gun on his temple, as Kace grit his teeth. An array of machine guns appeared from his chest, the guns revving up. The objective was no longer to cause a diversion - he had done that plenty enough. Now, his objective was to survive. However, before the guns fired, he let out a sigh, lowering the gun from his temple. He knew when he was beat - Joanna was far too close for him to pull anything,『CD SPACE』would be able to shut him down from this distance, and this wasn't even including the other users. He was outgunned and outnumbered. "Not bad, for a bunch of brats." He said begrudgingly, his stand dissipating. He had done his share of the plan, despite his teammate's incompetence. He could only hope that they held up their part of the mission. "Even with the amount of times I've been fucked over by these idiots, I don't think I've had my back against the wall like this in a long time." He said, chuckling softly, as he turned towards the ceiling. "If I somehow get out of this alive, I'm done with these clowns."
  7. Kai grinned as the beast was struck by his Cyber Dragon's attack, waiting for it to be destroyed. However, he was caught off-guard when not only was it not destroyed, but it retaliated with a blast of its own, sending Calamity reeling back and crashing onto the ground. "Impossible!" Kai exclaimed, gritting his teeth as he turned towards the Piper. His Dragon was struck with another blast, wearing it down. He wasn't sure if the duel space was playing fast and loose with the rules, or if Calamity was surviving due to its effect. Either way, Calamity was now far too weak to do much of anything. "If you think I'm done, you haven't seen anything yet, punk!" He exclaimed, drawing a card from his deck. Looking at the card he drew, he smirked. "Let's get the ball rolling! First, I'll use the effect of Galaxy Solider once again, this time discarding Cyber Dragon Drei, and adding my last Galaxy Solider to my hand!" Just like before, the Galaxy Soldier appeared on the field in Defense Position. "Now I Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core, using its effect to add Cyber Revsystem, which I will activate immediately to summon the Drei I discarded!" The two Cyber Dragons appeared on the field, although it wouldn't be long before they'd leave. "With Drei's effect, I make my Core and Drei Level 5! And with that, I Xyz Summon Cyber Dragon Seiger using Cyber Dragon Core and Galaxy Soldier!" The soldier and the metalic worm disappeared from the field, being replaced by a large silver dragon. The Relinquished was already being attacked by a rather menacing looking skeleton. Kai decided it looked like it needed help. "Now, I will use Seiger's effect on itself to grant it 2100 extra attack!" A white light started charging in the dragon's mouth as it got ready to fire a beam. "Now, Seiger, strike down that abomination!" Normally, his opponent wouldn't be taking battle damage, but right now that didn't matter. What mattered was that they needed to destroy this thing. He glanced over towards the fungi army. The girl seemed to have things under control, but just to be safe, and to show off, Kai decided to help. "Calamity! Help those two dragons deal with the mushrooms!" The more eldrich of the two mechanical dragons fired another purple blast, this time towards the group of fungi Jun was dealing with. With any luck, Calamity would be able to gain strength from destroying some of the fungi and get stronger.
  8. Lok Team ThunderWaves She was starting to wear down, Lok could tell, as the hail started to let up. However, things weren't done yet, as piles of snow and stars were being lobbed at him and the rest of his team. He swung his arm in front of him, watching his Thunderbolt sweep through the snow and breaking the clumps, wincing as the stars hit him. Keanu started fighting Kaila, announcing the same notion that Lok and, he thought, Taiga had came too. Lok brushed himself off from the attack, noting that the stars had cut him in various places. Nothing too serious, but there was more blood than Lok had expected around him. He saw Taiga riding Keanu's wave, dragging the Godslayer into it. The ghost boy kept an eye on what was going on, waiting once more for his opportunity to attack the Godslayer without frying Taiga. As they fought in the wave, Lok let out a burst of Ominous Wind. He wasn't exactly sure how this worked, but he knew that it sometimes made him stronger. "COME ON LOK! TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT!" The two jumped out of the wave, and Taiga was now holding the slayer down for him. Lok's instinct was right, as he now had the ghostly winds circling around him. "This ends now!" Lok shouted, ghastly flames circling around him with the purple winds swirling around his arms. With surprising speed and force, Lok shot out a Hex towards the trapped target, the flames swirling into a phantom disk. Kaila struggled to break free as the flames barreled towards her, but to no avail. The shark girl's grasp on her was too much, as the disk practically exploded into a gust of wind as it struck her right in the center of her chest. Scarlet Team SuperPower Scarlet didn't notice the sand thinning out around them. She, instead, was paying close attention to Alarik, who was starting to look worn down. The Steelix's gems glowed as he charged in towards her, faster than she had expected. She could still feel the force of her Swords Dance in her body, and she didn't have time to dodge. So, instead, she took a page from Taiga's book and darted in. Her armor glowed a red hot crimson as she barreled towards the charging target, pulling her arm back. She slammed her Superpowered fist into the man's arm, following it up with another and another, quickly becoming a flurry of blows. She let out a battle cry, powered both by the adrenaline in her veins and the pain from the Double-Edge, as Alarik stumbled back from the attack, nearly losing his balance from the sheer force of the attack. Scarlet wasn't about to let up, however, diving back in to strike. Alarik barely had time to balance himself as Scarlet dived back in, a trail of steam behind her, swinging her arm towards him. He barely managed to block the attack with his arm, however, the girl had clamped down on the armor with a Bug Bite. Wincing, Alarik swung his arm to get the girl off of him. Scarlet was sent flying, circling right around Alarik as her wings fluttered, using the momentum of his swing to accelerate. She swung all the way around and slammed the Steelix in the face with a Bullet Punch. While he was caught by surprise by the sudden punch, he was quick to react, grabbing Scarlet by the leg as she flew across him. Scarlet was caught off-guard, as Alarik slammed her into the ground again, this time bringing his other arm up and getting ready to slam it down on top of her.
  9. The beast they had encountered ended up being a boy, with some sort of crazy shape shifting Id that made them a monster. Lucia felt bad for the kid, and not just because she had just bashed him over the head with a baseball bat. She turned towards her arm, the light line of feathers on it. She thought her Id was monstrous and scary, but this kid... this was something else. Lucia spent the car ride back staring out the window, lost in her own thoughts. In retrospect, it made sense that it was someone's Id. A creature like that doesn't exist, nor should it, and especially not there of all places. Just like how books shouldn't be able to fly, or a girl should be able to mutate herself. She turned towards her now human hand, letting out a heavy sigh. She had wondered if she would lose her mind and go savage like that kid did if she used her abilities on the wrong animal before, and those thoughts were resurging now. That hawk she had fused with was the first predatory animal she had ever used her abilities on. If she were to fuse with something like a bear or a wolverine, would she be able to control herself? All she knew is that she adapted traits of the animal she copied - how far did that extend? She remained quiet as she kept staring out the window.
  10. Ivan watched the battle rage on in stoic silence, Bearble in his arms. The kid was using some sort of stall tactic, slowly whittling down the Ratata. The rat was ever as feisty as it had been before, ignoring Belle as they fought. Unsurprisingly, the rat was taken down. The two still had a lot to work on, it would seem, as Belle sent out Moo. Hopefully, this Pokemon would have a better shot, especially considering that this one listened to its trainer. She might have been behind, but she wasn't out just yet. "Huh?" Ivan turned towards Jacklyn, who was now leaning towards him and the bear in his arms. "Of course I do!" He did not have a name for the bear yet, and now he had to think of something fast. He turned down to look at the bear, which looked up back at the boy. The bear was very shy, he noticed, and she was a water type. "Its uh... Drizzl... Driz! Her name is Driz." He said, matter of factually. "She's Driz." He turned back down to the bear, before returning back to the battlefield.
  11. Lok Team ThunderWaves Lok watched as the pillar that was barreling towards him collapsed as Keanu interrupted the attack. "Thank you!" Lok shouted, giving Keanu a thumbs up before turning his attention back towards the Sandslash. He still had his over Double Team clone up, the clone also facing their opponent. Keanu and Taiga were hard at work on taking Kaila down, the Godslayer now being pinned on the wall momentarily by a torrent of water. This was his opening to attack, him and his clone running towards the immobilized target. Lok fired off a Hex at Kaila, lightning crackling in his hands as he prepared to fire off another attack. Scarlet Team SuperPower Scarlet watched as Alarik glowed, his armor morphing as spikes jutted out of his armor. It seemed like he also had some sort of transformation ability like she did. Several crystals were now floating around the Steelix as he fired off a Rock Blast towards Nani. Scarlet smashed her fists together. "You think a new coat of paint is going to stop us?" She shouted, dashing in, hoping to catch him off-guard after having attacked Nani. Alarik turned his head towards Scarlet, bringing his arm up as he grabbed her fist in his palm, giving the Scizor a stoic glare. She tried to break free from the man but it was no use, as he raised her up into the air, before slamming her back down into the ground. While the sand softened the blow, she let out a gasp of pain as she face-planted into the ground. She barely had time to roll out of the way as Alarik brought down his other arm for a Heavy Slam, the force of the attack sending Scarlet tumbling away. As she tried to pick herself up, she was greeted by a Dragon Breath to the chest, sending her staggering back. Scarlet took a moment to catch her breath as Alarik glared at her, turning towards the others to respond to any actions they had. "...not bad..." She said between heavy breaths, closing her eyes as she Swords Dance'd. "...you're just as strong as I imagine you were." She said with bitter resentment, opening her eyes as she glared at him. She darted back towards Alarik, smashing the Rock Blasts as he fired them towards her. They felt stronger than before, but not strong enough to resist the force of her punches. As she got to him, she fired off a series of consecutive Bullet Punches, moving around him as he blocked them with his arm. She ducked under the sweeping arm that was blocking the attack, upper cutting into his side cleanly - an attack that would have sent most barreling back, but not Alarik. Instead, the man responded with another Dragon Breath, the draconic flames striking her as she darted back away from him.
  12. "So... this is it, huh?" Natalia stood on the UA Campus, taking a good hard look at the institution as she chewed her bubble gum. Honestly, she was expecting more, considering how much her father raved on and on about it. The people around her seemed to be dumbfounded, however, to be here; their anxiety written all over their face. It was almost embarrassing, really. Still, it made sense, with how heroes were idolized and this being the school to be for any would-be hero. Or at least, that's what she heard. She calmly strolled on towards the front of the school, blowing a bubble as her bag hung loosely over her left shoulder. She saw the hero she recognized as Glory standing at the front of the school, his head turning towards her as she approached. She was pretty sure their eyes met, although it was hard to tell with his goofy visors. Natalia never understood the flashy costumes heroes wore. Last time she checked, the whole point of being a hero was to save lives, not be some kind of pajama party. Glory turned back down momentarily as she approached, flipping through some pages in his hands. "And you're miss... Kamari? Wait, no, Kemuri?" Nat simply rolled her eyes, nodding her head. "Yep. That's me." She said flatly, stopping in front of the young man. "It says here your father is Poseidon. I'm sure that's quite a legacy to hold up." Of course he'd bring up her father. He was, after all, a 'pro hero' and everything. "You could say that." Natalia remarked dryly. She moved a bit forward, hoping that was the end of the conversation. She stopped when he started talking once more, annoyed that this conversation was still going. "Is that why you're here? To keep up his good work?" Her face folded into a scowl. "I'm here to be better than he ever was." Her tone was full of bitterness, arms crossing. "Oh? So what's your goal?" She could almost see his brow raising behind the visor, or at least she imagined it did. "I'm going to defend the defenseless, no matter what." She answered earnestly, although her voice still held that same bitterness. "That's what I was hoping to hear. Your father must be proud of inspiring such conviction. Head on in." Natalia rolled her eyes. "Inspiration is one way of putting it, I guess." It wasn't wrong to say he inspired her. His and, in a way, this whole institution's failures were the reason she was here in the first place. If she was going to protect, things had to change. She made her way to her classroom, some of her colleagues having already situated themselves. All of them seemed to be different degrees of peppy - the exact type of people you'd expect to see in a school like this. One of them had even brought a whole thing of Monaka's. She wasn't really in the mood for sweets; both the literal ones that the nerdy kid brought, and the ray of sunshine that were her classmates. Her attention was, instead, caught by the rather edgy looking kid in the back, who seemed to want nothing to do with anything happening here. A stark contrast to the rest of the class, he seemed to be the least annoying of them. Plus, she was planning on sitting in the back anyways. Slowly, she made her way to the desk next to Hakaro, who seemed to be in his own world with those headphones of his. Good, she wasn't particularly looking forward to conversing with Hoth Topic; it was the whole reason she chose this seat in the first place. She took her seat, blowing another bubble as she leaned on the desk, waiting for the teacher to show up.
  13. Lucia froze as the beast dove to bite into her, Nika saving her at the last moment. She had expected some sort of combat mission but this... this was ridiculous. The commander seemed to think this as well. Lucia got away from the beast as it closed its gaze towards the others, before chasing after it behind Nika. Despite her flight, she was nowhere near fast enough to catch up to the beast. Ann was also making some sort of risky move, diving into the fray. Lucia didn't know what to do, as she watched Cade apprehend the beast with his book Id. "Aaaaah!" She screamed, smashing her bat on the back of the beasts head, this time not sinking her talons into the beast as to avoid getting caught on it again. The bat shattered into two pieces, the head flying off into the wilderness as her grip tightened on what remained of her weapon. Her wings fluttered as she brought herself higher, trying to avoid a counter attack. While the beast was being held down, she wasn't sure how much longer paper would be able to pin it down.
  14. Lok Team ThunderWaves Lok tumbled a bit on the snow as the Godslayer disappeared back into the hail. He had barely picked himself up when he had to immediately dive back down to the snow to avoid the icicle that was barreling towards him. Picking himself once more, he saw Taiga had immediately jumped to Keanu's aid, an icicle now lodged into her hand. Lok took this moment of being ignored to use Double Team, creating two other clones of him as he watched Kalia fade into the storm once more. It didn't take long for the giggling to start again, Lok keeping an eye on the storm as his hands lit a ghastly purple flame. He saw one of the icicles fly out of the storm, as he fired off his Hex where he thought she was. His clone was struck right through the chest, disappearing as his attack got lost in the storm. Lok grimaced, turning around to the other side as another icicle crashed towards his other clone. This time, the clone managed to dodge the attack. Unfortunately, the same could be said about his second Hex. The third time, as he saw the third icicle come out of the storm, he fired his Hex and this time, he managed to land his attack as the giggling was interrupted by what sounded like a wince. However, he didn't have time to celebrate, as he now had an icicle lodged into his shoulder. He let out a roar in pain, clutching onto the icicle. Gritting his teeth, he fired a Thunderbolt into the storm in a fit of rage, in the hopes that maybe he'd be able to hit her. Scarlet Team SuperPower The Rock Blast, while a bit painful, wasn't nearly enough to stop her. Her wings fluttered as she crouched down, before diving right back in. The red Tailwind behind her blew the sand as she darted in, stopping in front of Alarik to jump into the air with a twirl, her wings fluttering as the sand cyclones around her and the red hot winds. She slammed down into the Steelix with both of her hands, the attack being blocked by the man's gigantic metal arm. The Steelix swatted her back up into the air with a Heavy Slam, the force of the blow putting a strain on her body, before letting out a Dragonbreath aimed up directly at her. Scarlet, however, did not hesitate as she dived back down towards the man, her first splitting the flames as she felt the dragonic energy singe her. Her armor glowed red hot - not from the flames nor from the wind, but rather from the energy within her. This time, he didn't have time to block the attack, as she dive bombed the Godslayer with a Superpower right on his head. The man staggered back a bit from the sudden impact of the attack, the steam around Scarlet's armor losing itself in the storm around them. He seemed surprised that she'd be so reckless; or maybe he was impressed, it was hard to get a read of his face. Scarlet's breathing heavy. "How's that... for promise!?" She shouted, spitting on the ground below.
  15. It was show time, as the creature pounced on the Major. Lucia's wings flapped as she started hovering above the ground, getting herself ready to strike it. However, the beast was clever, jumping off of Nika and entering the woods once more. Lucia nodded as Nika told them what they had to do. She was going to pair up with the Major herself in trying to subdue the beast, while the others supported. "Understood." She said, trying her best to keep an eye out for the beast. Even with her hawk vision, however, it was difficult. She'd have to rely on the others to tell her where it was. Left. Lucia would rise up as the creature pounced from her left and, once she got out of the way, she would dive back towards it and sink her talons into the creature, pulling out her baseball bat from her backpack before smacking the beast with it.
  16. Ray simply smiled as he stood in the back of the room, listening as Shawn droned on about how grateful he was they were here or some shit. Apparently they were getting a visit from a higher up, as he told them to stay on their best behavior. Apparently he didn't like kiss asses, which made Ray chuckle. Maybe if an amateur was doing it - the whole point of kissing ass is to not come off as an ass kisser. Gambling being shut down because people were abusing their Gifts made him frown. He enjoyed gambling, even if some of these guys were cheating bastards. Of course, Ray was too, but he had a more conventional take the whole ordeal. "We're surrounded by rookies." He said, tilting his head towards Maybelle. "Shame. We were makin' bank on the side with that." Fortunately for him, when they paired up people he got paired with his partner in crime. It was good to have someone you could trust in this sea of bastards. There seemed to be some type of confrontation happening in the way to the kitchen. Shame, Ray was feeling peckish. He knew better than to get involved in whatever shit storm was brewing over there - anything Derrick and Kane were involved with, he wanted nothing to do with. it was kinda fucked how they were paired up; the two got along like water and oil. He was just glad he wasn't paired with either of them, honestly. "Well I'll be in the break room if ya need me." He said, patting his partner's arm before making his way across the room, pulling out a deck of cards from his jacket. At the door, he turned towards the others. "Anyone up for a game of cards?" He said, a smirk stretching across his face. "No gambling, of course!" He said with a wink, putting his finger up to his lips in a shush motion, before going into the room.
  17. Lok Team ThunderWaves "No!" Lok shouted as his Will-o-Wisp nearly singed Taiga, letting out a sigh of relief as the shark doused his flames. His hands burned with the same fire as he tried to predict where Kaila was going to be as she fought his allies. However, despite his best prediction, she effortlessly dodged his attacks while fighting the others, which was frustrating to say the least. The giggling wasn't helping at all, as Lok started to get frustrated. There was no use trying to hit her with this from long range - he'd have to get closer, unfortunately. However, he had a plan. Lok ran towards the Sandslash, firing a Thunderbolt in her direction, although it simply struck through the hail as the obnoxious giggle filled the air. Again, Icicles came from nowhere, but this time they were aimed at Lok. He barely managed to dodge them, one of them grazing his arm, as he once again focused to try and snipe her. This time, however, instead of a Will-o-Wisp he fired a Thunderbolt and, much to his surprise, he managed to strike her this time. However, it didn't seem to do much, as she simple charged towards him, a wicked smile stretched on her face. And then he disappeared. With a flash of light, Lok entered one of the icicles that had crashed down towards him earlier. At first, she seemed confused, looking around to find the ghost boy, before a look of shock as he suddenly appeared next to her, grabbing her by the arm. Gripping it tightly, his hand suddenly burst into a familiar purple flame as he fired a Will-o-Wisp right at her. The girl winced, immediately grabbing him and throwing him over her shoulder. Lok's grip let go as he was flung into the thankfully soft-ish now, but the damage was already done. Scarlet Team SuperPower All of their attacks, as she expected, seemed to do nothing to the man's armor. Anything less would be disappointing, as Scarlet weaved out of the way of the attack coming her way. Luckily, the sand that brew around them didn't seem to hamper Scarlet much, save for the sandy ground that made it slightly difficult to walk. Her armor gave her plenty of protection from the storm brewing, but her allies didn't have that luxury. She turned towards the others momentarily. "Just focus on not getting hit! If we get worn down, it's over." She told them, turning her attention back to the Godslayer. The bad news was that the only move that could really hurt him exhausted her - while she wasn't hampered by the sand, this was still a battle of attrition through and through. Nani through her weird ghastly bone as Scarlet dived in, taking this as an opening. Alarik, meanwhile, brought his arms up to block the ghastly bone, his eyes locked onto Scarlet as he watched her dash towards him. Much to his surprise, the bone seemed to phase through armor, flying through his body. Scarlet used this small moment of hesitation to land a Bullet Punch faster than Alarik had expected, slamming into his side. However, the Steelix didn't seem to budge from the attack, swinging his arm towards the Scizor to knock her back. Scarlet ducked under the sweeping arm, but was caught off-guard when he kicked her right in the chest, sending her staggering back. She barely had time to react as he fired off a barrage of Rock Blasts towards her, Scarlet only being able to strike at two of them as the last one slamming into her shoulder. Instead of pursuing further, however, Alarik simple braced himself as the bone boomerang came back and phased through him, turning to face Brooke in anticipation of her next move.
  18. The group moved onward through the desert, the Bearble in his arms. "Looks like it." He said towards Jacklyn, looking down at the bear for a moment. He had caught a good number of Pokemon in quite a short span of time - maybe he should take a moment to actually train them up instead of getting new ones. Not like he had a choice, as he didn't have any Pokeballs on him. Hell, he didn't even have a Pokeball for his newly "caught" Pokemon. On their way, Ivan got himself into two separate battles in the desert. The first was against a Sandshrew that had rolled up on them, an eager look in its eyes to fight. Bearble was hesitant to fight at first, so Ivan instead sent out Root to battle it. The battle wasn't very exciting, ending quickly with a few Vine Whips. However, Ivan was determined to get Bearble fighting and, after what felt like a long time of convincing and misfiring, Bearble managed to defeat a wild Vulpix, although it was closer than Ivan would have liked. He would have also liked not being soaking wet right now, but that wasn't a big problem. In fact, it was almost refreshing as the sun beat down on them. When they finally got to the end of the road, they were stopped by a trainer. "Oh great..." Usually, Ivan would be eager to fight. But honestly, all of this fighting and training had exhausted him, especially after the whole ordeal with the Vullaby. Jacklyn was also beat from her own training, which only left Belle. "Well, looks like this one's all yours." He said, patting her on the back as he let out a yawn. "Can't let me and Jacklyn get all the battling done, after all."
  19. "I see..." Wada said, rubbing his chin. "Well, don't worry! We are on the case!" He said confidently, taking a bow as he started turning around towards his allies. He nodded his head as Robin spoke. "Yeah! That sounds like a good idea. Meet up, exchange information, and then go beat up these creatures! Sounds like a plan. Let's go!" Wada turned around, waving at the priest. "Goodbye mister!" He followed Robin out of the door towards The Naughty Crow. As expected, the rest of them had gathered here. Wada waved at the group, waltzing in. "Yo yo, so what's the plan?" He said, leaning on his mallet as he turned towards the lady on the other side of the counter. "Oh! The name's Wada! It's a pleasure to meet you." He said with a toothy grin, extending his arm towards Lauryn as the others spoke.
