  3. Fiona had attempted to fade in with the crowd once she was done with her speech. It wasn't so easy though as there were so many eyes on her. No matter where she went on the deck at least one person would be watching her. Some even approached her, aggression in their manner, but they were steered away by one of the crew members. She was thankful for them. Most anyone else, hearing her story, would have tossed her over the side. She had arrived shortly before everyone else but Captain, and the rest, had been kind to her. Though she did have to promise to fight one of them later. The Fire girl was certainly eager. It was good that the crew stopped the others though. She wasn't sure she'd be able to stop herself from lashing out were she confronted right now. So high strung was her emotions. She was just about to slip below deck when... "Hey... It's uh... It's been a while, hasn't it? Didn't think I'd run into you here... or ever, really..." Fiona froze and turned over to the voice. Lok. Immediately her mind went to their last conversation and she instinctively bristled. "What do you wa-" Then she stopped herself. "Ah, yeah, I guess. So suppose you, uh, are alive." Well that was a dumb thing to say. Of course he was. Unless she was hallucinating. Which wasn't actually all that improbable. The girl reached a hand out and pinched the boy's cheek and, when she realized he was real, pulled back quickly. "Right, so...well I thought about it. After, you know, and I guess I figured out that I didn't really want to be....there. That even if they did change the world...I wouldn't really have a place in it." She blushed and looked away. "But I'm not going to say you were right, okay?" "We brought Isole back. Safe and sound." Captain looked over from Taiga, having just finished responding, and looked the other girl up and down. "Ahh, where one of you beauties are the other is always soon to follow." He said. He didn't particularly feel like explaining his situation a second time so he casually glossed over Scarlet's other statement. Then he looked around towards where they had come from, where Isole had also appeared, and nodded. "I figured she would be fine. Even if you ran into trouble she wouldn't have stuck around if she couldn't handle it. Honestly I'm still shocked that she wanted to go along. She has been a bit...harder to get to interact than the rest." He then shook Scarlet's hand and leaned down to give it a kiss. "Thank you for taking care of that girl. She's had a rough time of it." He grinned then. "I'll be sure to get all the juicy details of your adventure from her later. You better have been a good influence." He finished with a wink. "Anyway, this is my mom, Leah! She's really really nice and never loses her cool and stuff!" Mac clammed up as soon as she saw the woman. This would be her second time meeting the mother of one of her group and honestly she was a bit annoyed at how much cooler they seemed than her own parents. The woman had an impressive air about her that made Mac feel like she should be standing at attention or something. However she couldn't help but let slip a little snort when the woman called Ari by his full name. With a following cough to cover it up Mac responded. "It's, um, nice to meet you." Then shaking her head as though to fling off the meekness she stood taller and, looking at the, larger than she realized at first, group she declared. "Don't worry about thanking Kazo; I'm the one who took care of both of them. As the leader of the group I had to you see." There was something odd about the way the woman spoke that Mac couldn't place her finger on. Until Ari spoke up and gave them the truth about him. He was actually someone important? Wait, but all those times she said he was her flunky...No, no, that just meant she was that much more awesome than she thought. She had been bossing around a prince! The news about Kah caused her to frown but, honestly, she still felt bitter about it all. Kah had lied and betrayed them. She was the farthest thing from a hero, like Mac. Her voice a bit more rough than before she spoke up. "Well if she's still alive, and still on their side, I'll just have to take her down too. That's our job now isn't it, Kazo? Prince Ariel?" At the last she couldn't hold back and snorted again. "Ariel, heh." Dora was still wandering about when she noticed another familiar face. Though this time it was a face that she had seen a lot of lately. It was Easter's face. But, she realized, it was a sad Easter face. That wouldn't do at all. Not when there's all this exciting stuff going on! She waddled her way over to them with a determined expression. Bumping into the Sylveon Dora looked up at her. "Are you sad?" She asked. Then she pressed her face against Easter, still looking up, and continued, "did someone take away your candy?"

  10. So this has been going around Facebook. Basically you put in 10 questions with answers, which you can edit, and share it. People go on, put a name in, then try and answer to see how well they know the person. Did one on FB but it can be seen by my family and also has things that'd be TOO easy for NCM. So I made one for here. Please use your username so I know who got what. I HOPE the link works here...let's find out. https://buddymeter.com/quiz.html?q=P63Yww2 Also it should go without saying but PLEASE don't post answers, even in spoilers. Please.
  11. "Kellz, I'm not a very modern girl, am I?" Kelsey didn't respond right away. Just patting the girl on her head, with her real hand, while looking at the screen. As expected she did really well. Though she supposed that one grade was lacking a bit from Stella's usual schoolwork. "so how did you do?" "Ah, ya know, did well enough. Not gonna be writing any books anytime soon but more than good enough for shooting down baddies anyway." Kelsey said, waving off the question with a carefree smile. She didn't need Stella worrying about Kelsey's grades on top of her own after all. As the bell rang and Stella stood up Kelsey slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her in. Her other arm moving up and waving across the air in an arc. "See that? That's all the people who are gonna have a problem with either our grades. Watch as they pass us by like, uh, a bird?" She then skipped forward to gather up her things. "Alright, onward, to uh....History? Lame." When they got to the next class they found that the room was very much the same as the previous one. Except for one large exception. A skeleton of some massive, winged, creature was strung up from the ceiling and dangled a dozen feet above their heads as they filtered in and took a seat. Also the teacher was standing behind the desk and waved in a friendly manner at everyone who walked in. She seemed to notice that some had slowed down to look at the bones above them and she clapped her hands together. "Alright y'all, get a move on. Why don't ya just sit yourselves down and I can start this shindig?" She said. As everyone found their seats she nodded. "Well alright then. Now, I said it before but imma say it again. Name's Miss Charlotte and I teach History. I see some of you rollin your eyes but trust me history is a lot more interesting than ya think. And a whole heck of a lot more explosive. More explosive than a firework in a match factory." She smiled at everyone. "But I don't expect ya to believe me. That's why I decided I'd start with something unique-like." She pulled out a remote from seemingly thin air, given she had no real pockets to be seen, and pressed a button. The floor in front of her desk opened up and she slowly made her way around it as something rose up from under the floor. Once it was in place, and she was standing next to it, they could see it looked like some kind of box. Except it was golden, curved, and seemed to have some sort of depiction of a humanoid figure on its front. "This here is called a sarcophagus. It was used long ago in some cultures to bury their important dead. Kings and the like. I unearthed this varmint in the ruins of a desert planet. Almost lost my arm when the room started filling with boulders but I got it outta there. Apparently there's some kinda curse if someone messes with it but nothin ever happened to me. Now." She leaned back against her desk and grinned. "Who wants ta open it?"
  12. So far they seemed to be rather torn on what to do, Keres noted. When Ryia had spoken up first Keres nodded in agreement. Though as she didn't say anything with the nod it was likely some of them didn't even notice. She DID speak when Reinaan gave his thoughts on the manner. Though it wasn't much of anything just an affirmation that, yes, they had said something like that. "The lake." It was far from here and Keres thought that it would be best to check somewhere closer first but she also didn't feel confident enough in her answer to speak up. If it was incorrect she'd be to blame after all. Damien let out a load groan and tossed his head back. "Alright I have no idea what you're talking about but clearly this is some kind of decision moment. Far be it from me to stop you but I'd kinda like to eat something first. Let's go check in at a tavern and see if they got any rooms too. Unless you want to sleep in one of those cells tonight. From personal experience I'd say you probably don't." Keres didn't find any fault in his words, even if the delivery was lacking, and agreed. "Should be one this way." She said. The girl led the way, awkwardly pausing often to look around, until they came across one such tavern that looked large enough to have rooms for rent. "The Floppy Fish." Damien noted, looking at the sigh. An image of a curvy fish with the words clumsily carved underneath. "Can't say it's not a unique name." They entered and found that it was rather empty. Though it was pretty clear quickly why it was so. The smell of fish permeated throughout. Those who were sitting at tables either had something over their nose between bites or looked to be the type to not be bothered by a smell. "Hello, hello." The person at the bar said. "The finest, well, the only fish in the city. Welcome to the Floppy Fish, what do you fine folks want today?" "You sure can pick em." Damien said with a chuckle and a wince. Keres glanced down to the side. It was the closest place she had seen, that's all. Was that so wrong?
