  1. Morgan vs Ross Part 1/2 With the arrow showing up every few minutes, Ross figured that she might as well follow it. And so, she continued to make her way down the dark cavern, seeming to get closer and closer to what she presumed was going to be Morgan as she did. Though she had no concept of time within the virtual world, she presumed she hadn’t actually been walking without incident until something stopped her dead in her tracks. Or more accurately, something was now blocking her path. A large something. Humorlessly, Ross simply muttered, “are you serious?” Letting out a sigh, the girl pulled the demonic metal pipe she had on her back, giving it a twirl as she looked at the large, familiar looking, hunched over skeleton in her path. “Oh no. Whatever shall I do now that I can’t go forward?” Ross exclaimed with little to no emotion as she merely tossed her metal pipe at the head of the skeleton. --- When Morgan first found herself in a dirty cave she was upset. “This is no place for someone like me.” She muttered as she slowly made her way around the tunnels. She noticed the arrow indicating where her opponent was and realized that Ross must be seeing the same. A small smile appeared on her face as an idea came to mind. She followed the arrow and found that, while she got closer, so did her opponent. The witch moved slower, looking for a decently sized cavern, until finding one that would suit her needs. She moved away from it, deeper into one of the branching tunnels, and prepared. When she noticed the indicator saying that Ross had entered the cave she began her spell. Forming her skeleton giant inside of the cavern. It wasn’t quite large enough for the giant to stand fully but it would do. She giggled and took another route, looking for one of the other entrances of the cavern, as she let the skeleton do its thing. --- Ross’s pipe came sailing towards the skeleton. Who gripped its bone club and swung it at the pipe. The club itself shattered as it hit the pipe but the pipe was knocked into the wall. Clanging off of the stony surface. The giant then moved forward at a crouch, reaching for Ross with a sweeping arm motion. With a small amount of electricity charging on her hand, the pipe electrifying as well, the metal boomeranged back to Ross’s hand as the giant started swinging its arm at her. Twirling the pipe yet again, Ross’s expression didn’t seem to change as she stepped back and tossed the pipe yet again at the skeleton’s hand. The skeleton’s hand cracked as the pipe hit it. Though the skeletal fiend didn’t seem to care much about its damaged hand as it brought the other hand down on the girl. --- Meanwhile Morgan had located a tunnel that would bring her roughly behind her opponent, though it was that moment that the indicator flashed once more. --- Calling her pipe back again, as the skeleton began to swing at her with its hand yet again, Ross could only sigh as she noticed the arrow appear. Figuring it was better to just get this over with quickly, rather than safely, the girl charged her pipe with lightning as twirled it between her fingers. As the hand reached towards her, Ross simply flung her pipe as hard as she could at the skeleton’s skull once more. The skeleton’s hand struck Ross as the pipe shattered its skull. The walking bone behemoth crumbled as it did. --- Morgan, cursing the timing, rushed out of the tunnel and into the cavern. “Let’s give her a warm welcome shall we?” She called out dramatically. Her flaming skulls formed above her head, three of them, as she tossed them at her opponent’s back. --- Skidding across the ground as she was hit by the hand, Ross winced though didn’t seem to be all that bothered by the giant bone slap. Instead, calling her pipe back to her hand, as she heard the familiar voice of the witch call out through the cavern, Ross couldn’t help but sarcastically reply, “what a surprise.” Looking behind her, she wasn’t sure what kind of magic it was that Morgan had as a witch outside of skeletons. As such, flaming skeleton heads, not entirely what she was expecting but not much of a stretch. Still, curious about something and without much time to react either, the girl simply tossed her pipe at one of the heads, seeming content to stand still and take the two attacks head on. --- The pipe hit the skull and triggered it to explode upon contact. The other two skulls came in from both sides and crashed into Ross, exploding as well. “Gonna make it easy on me then? Guess that’s fine, I’ll take the win.” Morgan taunted. She produced another trio of skulls and launched them at Ross. Behind the girl the skeleton giant slowly began to reform again. --- Ross braced herself as the skulls exploded on her, wincing in pain yet again as it happened. However, as her opponent taunted her, Ross didn’t really seem to mind. Looking at her arms, seeing that despite the heat and force she just took were still completely fine Ross simply said, “interesting.” Calling her pipe back, the girl said, “well, I would hope it’d be easy on you. You’re an all powerful super witch and I’m just a girl with the magic of pipe.” Hearing the sounds of shifting behind her, and the skulls in front of her, Ross shrugged as twirled the metal with her fingers. Briskly walking forward, nonchalantly, Ross simply tossed her pipe at the side of one of the side skulls, causing the first to explode and make the pipe ricochet into the other. With the two threats to her side gone, Ross simply started to jog forward and duck under the last one as she started to close the distance between her and Morgan. --- “Make up your mind make it easy or struggle, sheesh.” Morgan said, blowing hair away from her eyes. She created yet another skull and launched it forward. As it traveled towards Ross the witch began another spell. Roots erupted from the ground under Ross and went to wrap around her. --- As the pipe returned to the girl the girl looked at skull coming at her and the roots beneath her. “I could say the same to you. Do you use bones or plants?” Not wanting to be trapped in place, the girl jumped over the roots. Tossing the pipe at Morgan, ignoring the skull altogether, the airborne Ross simply braced herself as the skull exploded on her person. --- Morgan recoiled as the pipe her her across the head. “So barbaric.” She said. Then with a smile she added “Gotcha.” Then the roots shot up near Morgan herself, wrapping around the pipe and dragging it down to the ground. As Morgan launched another skull at Ross the latter would see something large moving from the tunnel behind Morgan. --- Hanging her head down, Ross sighed again saying, “fine, fine. I was planning on taking it easy a bit but, well.” While before Ross’s hand had only been electrified, this time her whole arms started to charge up. With the lightning crackling at her fingertips the girl smiled and said, “shocked?” With one hand the girl tossed a slow moving bolt to intercept the skull, while with the second she tossed a faster, linear blast of lightning at Morgan’s torso. --- Morgan, as Ross put it, was shocked. The bolt hit her and she flew backwards and landed on the ground. “Ow ow ow ow.” Morgan muttered. “The only thing shocking is your terrible sense of humor!” Morgan called back. That’s when she noticed it. Coming from the tunnel, a massive spider, racing along its eight legs towards her. Its abdomen was bulbous and covered in fine, brown, hair. Each of its eight legs seemed to end in somewhat of a point and the two in front were somewhat thicker than the others. Its eight, black, eyes shone with whatever light these tunnels had and it had a pair of fang-like protrusions at the front of its head. Morgan fired off another skull towards Ross as she outstretched her other hand. A broom materialized on it and, as Morgan gripped it, the item floated into the air and dragged her up to her feet. Morgan hopped on it and zoomed to the side as the spider launched sticky webbing where she had been standing. --- At that moment Ross heard noise behind her as the Skeleton giant, missing an arm, swung its hand down towards her. “Oh. Huh.” That was about the extent of Ross’s outward reaction as the giant spider raced towards her and Morgan. Though her expression didn’t change, that it was here at all was certainly an unsettling feeling and the girl wasn’t exactly eager to get into a combat with it. Of course, she had other problems as a giant skeletal hand swung at her, Ross simply stuck her hand up and fired another blast of lightning to destroy the hand before it hit her. She didn’t do much about the flaming skull, though the instant it exploded on her, Ross simply fired yet another bolt of lightning from the smoke straight at Morgan. Despite missing a hand, and most of an arm, the skeleton giant continued to come down on Ross. Trying to crush her with its weight alone. --- Morgan sent out a skull to try and block the lightning. However the lightning was too fast and her skull, while it did block, exploded right in front of her. She struggled to keep the broom flying and in fact bounced off the ground once. However she continued on, firing another skull haphazardly towards Ross’s legs, and flew into one of the tunnels. Leaving Ross with the spider and skeleton. Once she moved a couple dozen feet into the tunnel she hopped off the broom and formed a weak barricade of roots. Taking a breath Morgan leaned up against the wall, looking through small holes in the barricade at what Ross does next. --- “Your persistence isn’t charming.” Charging her lightning again, Ross simply punched forward, lightning firing into the torso of the giant skeleton to blow a hole through it. As the skull was sent toward Ross as well brought her other hand to block the flames of the skull. As such, the skull still exploded close to her and she was still caught in part of the blast. Waving her hand to waft the heat away, and seeing Morgan run away and leaving her to fend for herself against the spider. “Also, not very charming.” Cracking her knuckles, Ross simply let loose another blast of lightning into the spider. The lightning hit the spider and there was a crackling noise as the creature’s exoskeleton cracked slightly. It turned towards Ross and started scurrying in her direction. Launching out webbing from their abdomen. --- Morgan laughed and called out through the barricade. “All fair in love and war! We gotta put on a show don’t we?” --- Charging both of her hands with lightning Ross merely grumbled to herself as she tossed one bolt of lightning at the web, side stepping into the direction she had thrown it in, while throwing yet another bolt at the spider yet again. The spider paused for a moment before coming at Ross again. One of its front legs raised so that, when it reached her in a few more moments, it would bring it down in a sharp stab. --- Morgan, crouching down now, smiled to herself as she started forming another skeleton. Though this one, instead of a giant, resembled more of a rat. She created three of these creatures before sending them through the holes in the barrier and towards Ross. Where they would crawl up her leg and bite her. --- Without any real fear in her stance as the spider made its way to her, Ross simply brought up her hand as she charged it with lightning. Meeting the leg halfway, the demon hunter struck the leg with her palm and used her fingers to grab onto the leg as it stabbed through her hand. With a spider leg stabbing into her hand, Ross merely used her lightning charged hand to electrocute the leg while using her other hand to fire a blast of her lightning directly into the spider’s face. Though her hand was in great pain, Ross didn’t seem to mind much, but suddenly looked down as she felt a sharp pain going into her leg. “Rats? Really?!” --- Morgan giggled as she saw the rats do their job. But the spider’s actions left a lot to be desired. The electrocution seemed to just about fell the giant beast. It crumpled down onto the ground and twitched. The rats continued to bite at Ross’s leg. Standing behind the barricade Morgan concentrated on trying to re-raise her skeletal giant. --- With her now aware of them, Ross didn’t seem to care about the rats any longer. In fact, the rats would be met with a sudden great deal of pain themselves, as they went to bite Ross’s legs. Letting the lightning flow across her whole body, when their teeth sank into her, they would suddenly be shocked as electricity would flow through them. Now beginning to run towards the witch, Ross let loose two bolts of lightning. One was directed towards the barrier that Morgan had erected, while the other was aimed at her pipe, stuck beneath another set of roots. --- Morgan mounted her broom again as she saw the girl coming towards her. The barrier, though not damaged usually by electricity, had a hole blown out of it by the impact. “You could at least tell me how impressed you are, sheesh, it’s like fighting a mannequin.” Reaching forward she spread the hole in the roots a bit more and sent a skull flying towards Ross. --- In a flat, deadpan tone Ross just shouted back to Morgan, “I’m very impressed.” Continuing forward, the girl called her now freed pipe back to her hand. Shooting the flaming skull with lightning, the two attacks exploding on impact with each other, Ross then tossed her pipe with great force through the hole and towards Morgan. --- “Hey, you don’t mean that do you!” Morgan complained. She dove off of her broom to avoid the pipe, hitting her head against the wall in the process. Grumbling as she got back up about how lame that was she waved a hand and the barricade of roots unraveled and shot at Ross in a trio of spear-like objects. --- “Well, you’re not unimpressive.” With both of Ross’s hand charging with lightning, the girl fired the bolt towards one of the spikes, destroying it in the process. Twisting her body as they came towards her, the girl took one spike directly with other grazing her. Wincing in pain, Ross stumbled a bit as the spike hit her, but as she knew that the injury within her was merely temporary, she hardly seemed to care. Furthermore, though both of Ross’s hands were electrified, she had only shot one bolt. The reason for this soon became obvious as the pipe that the girl had just flung was now coming straight back to Ross, and aiming to slam into the back of Morgan. --- “Wish I could say the same about you, but so far-oof!” Morgan stumbled forward as the pipe made contact with the small of her back. “Ow! Rude!” Morgan said, launching a couple more skulls at Ross as she mounted her broom again. --- As Ross heard the skeleton hand come from behind her, the girl merely had a small smirk on her face as lightning began to crackle more intensely around her whole body. Throwing one bolt to intercept the first skull, the girl simply braced herself against the second as she said, “well, all’s fair.” Before the smoke of the explosion could clear, and the hand of the skeleton could reach her, a sound akin to thunder could be heard. In an instant, Ross had closed the distance between her and Morgan, body still electrified. “Isn’t that right?” With a lightning charged fist, Ross then punched at Morgan’s gut. --- Morgan doubled over as she was thrown backwards by the punch. She winced and reached out for her broom, which zoomed its way to her. Climbing on board she waited until the giant skeleton crouched down and reached for Ross again before she started taking off down the tunnel. As the two fought the giant skeleton, now mostly formed again, reached out to grab Ross.
  2. Hm, sure, let's see..... I have no idea what I'm doing
  3. "Start off with an audible assault! Growl Ic!" "Tch, 'ick' is right." Chad muttered as Oswald called out his attack. Nidoran recoiled slightly at the chirping sound. "But you know." Chad said, crossing his arms in front of his chest and smiling confidently. "There's a reason I decided to buff Nidoran's stats rather than lower yours." Icarus slammed into Nidoran with a Quick Attack, sending the small Pokemon backwards. With Icarus near the ground, however, it made it easier for the Nidoran to attack. "Now, Double Kick!" Chad called out. And his Poison Pokemon charged in and stood up on his hind legs. The first kick, coming from its front legs, didn't seem to hurt much, but the second follow-up struck the Starly on its beak and seemed to cause much more damage than the first. "Lowered attack doesn't matter if I get a critical hit! But might as well play on both sides, Leer!" ------ "Kanon. That's my name," "Good to meet you miss Kanon!" Kenta said politely, bowing his head for a moment. Beside him Fuyumi nudged the larger boy in the ribs and he winced. "Oh, uh, I mean, I'll beat you next time don't think I'm down for good, uh, so there!" He scratched the back of his head and looked over to the girl. "Was that right, Fuyumi?" To which the girl rolled her eyes. "Your companion is asleep." Fuyumi noted. Sure enough Naomi was laying, face down, in the grass and seemed to be snoring. "Gee, think someone should wake her up? Bet she has to go to the Pokemon Center. Specially if she was battling Fuyumi, she's never lost ya know." Fuyumi merely nodded briefly to indicate the truthful statement.
  4. Alexis pumped her fist as she scored an attack across the hound's flank. She had seen that attack coming from a mile away and was able to keep the monster at bay. "You're almost... As bad as Rona..." "I thought I was doing pretty well actually!" Alexis answered. He saw the aforementioned Wyvern Rider coming her way and, with a wave, told Layne "heads up, I'm going to the next one, your friend there can clean this one up." And as the hound snapped at her she took off, moving in a direct line towards the next nearest one. Soaring overhead of the wounded hound. She flew over the thicket and stabbed her lance down. The Pegasus Knight managed to score a hit but, as she pulled the lance back, it got tangled up in a thicket. Which let the hound leap towards her and bite on her leg. Wincing and letting out a surprised shout she re-positioned her lance so it was pointed down and jammed the weapon into the beast's skull. Sighing she glanced over at the next closest hound. Surely it would come for her next. She only hoped the injury didn't slow her reflexes down too badly. They were getting there. So close...she wanted to be more careful but taking too much time now would only cause them to get surrounded. Go, go, go. Rona was falling behind. She couldn't fall behind. She had to catch up. Even Layne was ahead of her....but she couldn't push herself, or rather Cormag, that hard. It was hard enough having to be sure not to fly into trees but he had been pushing forward for a while now. Which was when Rona heard the voice again. Finally realizing it was coming from Edda she gave the girl a confused look "What is..." But before she could finish Cormag, with a mighty roar, continued his flight with his energy renewed. Rona heard Alexis tell Layne she could "clean up". Something about that bothered her. She wasn't supposed to just be flying behind her and finishing off the foes the other flier wounded. It would be admitting she was weaker than Alexis. But....she also couldn't just leave Layne there to die. "To your right." Rona told Layne and swooped in, burying her axe into the hound's skull. Not realizing the irony that she had ended in the same place that Alexis had been standing. There was still a hound to the left that seemed ready to attack. She'd worry about that one next.
  5. unlike sandwiches not a huge fan of most cereal
  6. I know it's not one of the more classic/popular series but dang it, Pumpkinhead's design is just so interesting Look at this creepy motherfucker
  7. I don't think I can accurately rank these due to not knowing them and only having chibi headshots to go off rip
  8. On her way towards the fireplace Penelope was stopped, once again, by Citron. She spun on her heel and faced the girl. Hands behind her back and a soft smile on her face. “I, uh, don’t want to interrupt whatever it is you're doing, but do you mind if I ask you some questions relating to your group after this is all over…?” She kept the smile on her face but in her mind she was racing through the possibilities. Could this girl be a spy? She had her concerns about that, of course, but would she be so obvious about wanting to know about them? In social situations it's true one usually wanted to know about the people you were with. Especially when you were outnumbered. Still, Penelope didn't think they'd have to worry too much. If it came to it she didn't think this girl could harm them much. She would have to make sure to keep an eye on the wyvern. To be sure no messages were being sent out. "Well, asking questions is your prerogative. I can't stop you from doing so." Her smile turned teasing, "that doesn't mean I'll answer." Putting a finger to her lips she thought a moment before adding, "what would you say if I were to tell you we were on a journey to save the world?" Her tone didn't make it clear if she was serious or not and, before much more could be said, Penelope headed over to the fireplace. On the way there Catriona stopped them and offered food. "Oh. I forgot about eating." Penelope gave a laugh. "I probably would have gone the whole day without realizing it." She took the food and absently began to chew on it as she investigated the fire place. It seemed that the fire had been out for a while. But there were a couple logs still inside. Pulling her blade she reached it in and prodded around. Moving the logs out of the way didn't turn anything up. Except that these logs seemed to be in rather usable condition. She supposed if something caused them to be stuck here at least they could stay warm for a while. Looking around the interior of the fireplace, getting soot on her face and clothes, she poked at the stone until she noticed something. Scratched into the soot itself. Another letter. "K". Announcing her find she pulled back, wiping a bit of soot from her cheek and only serving to spread it further. "Well, seems that these letters are being left all over. Now, where else have we to explore..." Gunther wasn't sure why he asked about the key. How would they know? A key went to a lock but it wasn't immediately obvious what kind of lock. Which meant the only way to know for sure... Click. As it turned out the key indeed was for the chest. He opened up and let out a gasp at what he saw. It was filled. With gold and silver coins. And beyond that several gems. He didn't know much about the stones but even he could tell they looked expensive. "Spirits." He muttered. This was far more than a simple village like this should have. This combined with the suspicious diary....What was this mayor mixed up in? Gunther realized his hand was clenched. Was he...angry? Yes, he might be. He had seen Cora's house. There was hardly anything in it. And yet the mayor was sitting on this...Animal or not if the mayor was there right now Gunther might just....well, he'd at least have a stern word for him. Hesitating, Gunther started digging through the coins. Looking for anything else that might give more a clue as to what was inside. At the bottom he noticed that part of the wood seemed lighter. Rapping against it he noticed it seemed hollow and so, after some more searching, he pried open a secret compartment. Inside was....parchment? It was old and looked to be a recipe for something called "Dragon's Breath". He had seen many recipes before but this one seemed...nonsensical. Not just the ingredients, dragonberries, powdered scales, and jewel flower petals picked on the night of a full moon for a start. But even the instructions seemed odd. Stuff like "hold under hot Histian fire for five minutes". It sounded almost like something from a fairy tale. Or, on the darker side, a ritual. The mention of "a heart's blood" chilled the Knight as he hastily put the recipe back and locked the chest. He glanced under the bed, already kneeling there, and noticed that there was a corner that seemed to have been disturbed recently, but knew he couldn't possible fit under there. So he stood and, face pale, turned to the others to describe what he had found. "Alois...Cora denied it earlier but are you sure...the people here don't worship the Goddess?" Cora propped her forearms on the wooden railing and looked off into the distance. Not at anything specific. Just off in the distance. She'd lived here all her life. She knew the people well...or she thought she did. All those times fighting off bandits or hunting and it seemed there was much she didn't know about her own home. Did her parents know? Acantha did, apparently, but why? As if thinking her name summoned her Cora noticed the beaver-formerly-known-as-Acantha waddle her way up to her. Looking at the beaver for a moment she sighed. "You know...when you're, um, back to normal I'm going to need to know what the heck is going on here." Acantha sighed, something she didn't know beavers could do, and seemed to be troubled. Eventually, as Cora kept her eyes on the girl, she nodded. At least she had that promise. Whatever it was worth. "We're not...doing something bad, are we?" If it turned out the village was involved in something evil....But Acantha's head shake was vigorous and firm. Clearly the girl at least thought that whatever they were hiding was just. Still..."I guess I'll have to take your word....well, kinda word, for it." She could only hope they were doing the right thing.
  9. "right, notebooks!" "Notebooks!" Kelsey said, raising her hand up in triumph. She then grinned and followed her friend down the aisle. She giggled as Stella nerded out over pens of all things. "It's like a kid in a candy store." she teased. She noticed the number of items that Stella was holding onto and raised a hand towards the girl. "I'll hold em." She offered. She didn't want to overload the girl. She glanced behind her, almost having forgotten Vivian existed. "Hey, you getting everything you need?" She asked. Kelsey didn't know much about the girl yet but she was Stella's roommate so it made sense to play nice with her right? As Vivian was trailing behind she would be the one to encounter a rather...unusual person. A young girl, though older than them, came suddenly running up to Vivian. Flailing several notebooks in her face. The girl had a shock of white hair that stood up as if electrified and a wide-eyed look. "PAPER!" She shouted, hitting Vivian with the pages of the notebook. "LOOK, ACTUAL PAPER? HOW DOES IT WORK?" She grabbed Vivian by the shoulders and shook her. "WHY IS THERE SO MUCH PAPER? IN SPACE?!" "Hey uh...you need any help with that?" The girl glanced over at the boy and seemed to be surprised that he had talked to her at all. "Uh. Two people will just make it messier...It'll be fine." She went back to scrubbing at the floor. Noticing the boy still there she followed it up with, "It was for me, anyway. So I need to take care of it." If Chase still stayed there she'd continue with, "It's better for you if you ignore me. Unless you want the same to happen to you." "What type of offerings would even appeal to the spirits of this place?" Xa'tok likely didn't expect a response to his unintentionally spoken question. "Excuse me?" The query came from a boy who he may recognize at having been one of the few to come greet them after their fight with the bandits. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. But you're from the Xul-Tuk yes?" He gestured to himself. "My name is Arnold. I, too, come from a group who travels from place to place." He smiled and gave a small chuckle. "It's so strange knowing I'll be staying here for so long. Anyway, that's not why I approached you, apologies for rambling. You mentioned the spirits. It got me curious. You see, I heard that, deep in the core of the planet, some sort of greater spirit resides, sleeping. I wonder if perhaps you knew anything about that? What do you think that means for this planet?" The bird waited with bated breath. Waited to see if the running duo would ever do more than run. Wait. No, it wasn't. Birds, especially this bird, didn't care much about what these people did or didn't do. It was, as we all know, just a bird.
  10. Team Mac, Cave Part Two "We just heard rumors that a legend showed up here and we came to check it out. Mac probably will also wanna spar against you, but that's it. We not here with ill intentions," "Kazo here is super cool and a hero, and Mac here is way less cool, but she's about as much of a fan of legendaries as you can get." "Hey!" Mac protested, breaking out of her stupor. "I'm more than super cool. Just because you're his biggest fan doesn't mean Kazo is cooler." She placed her fists on her hips and glowered at the boy for a moment before turning back to Zekrom. "I, um....I like the way you shoot lightning!" Mac declared, struggling to contain her excitement. Zekrom put a hand to his chin and scanned the trio. "You don't seem the same. You're certainly not as strong as them." He got closer, towering over even Kazo, and stared into the young Dragon's eyes. "Yes, you are good people. Your values are strong, and noble...I like it!" he declared, clapping the boy on the shoulders. He squeezed and shook him slightly. "You know, I've only been walking around for a few weeks now. I've been thinking I should gather some followers. Just like the old days, when things were more ideal." He let go of Kazo with one hand and stretched his arm towards the other two. "Well, what do you think, want to be the first of my new followers?" Team Neo Not Dark, Under The Sea The Dragalge cursed as Denku came at him again. The damage was building up and, as Denku felt the confusion creep up on him, the Dragalge stumbled back. Heavily battered and injured. But still not quite done. Seeing Denku's stat he smirked, a bit of blood leaking out of the corner of his lips. "Guess you're all out of gas, finally." He muttered as the camouflage faded and he swung around and caught Denku in the side, sending him flying across the bubble. "Damn crazy bastard." Dragalge muttered. The Swift attack the Easter sent out took two more of the foes out of the fight. But the third managed to, while falling, chomp down on Easter's leg, digging its teeth into the Sylveon. The other Carvanha, who had missed his attack earlier, surged back up for another Aqua Jet. Getting in close they went up high and aimed a kick for Easter's head. As Brooke attacked and slammed into the Cloyster they woman kept her same wicked grin on her face. "Ahh poor mommy pig girl." She said, cackling even as Brooke broke a couple bones of the woman. She went to attack Brooke straight on with a Razor Shell, trying to slice into the taller girl's strong neck. The Huntail backed away, seemingly more fearful about the woman. But when he saw his companion attack he decided to try to fire off another Water Pulse. Try being the operative word. As they opened their mouth to launch the attack they inside of their mouth was hit by a pressurized jet of water, coming from Dora, and they choked for a moment. Unable to to get their attack off. "I'm not gonna let you get hurt!" Dora called out to Brooke, shaking her head in defiance of the woman's suggestion. Team Showdown, Temple of Time and Space As the fights went on Isole faced her own challenge. A challenge she took, as with all things, with a nearly blank expression and a gloomy disposition. The winged opponent's Take Down shoved her into the corner post. Her back hit it and she winced slightly. The opposing Gijinka jumped into the air and spun in an arc, coming in for a Wing Attack. The girl frowned and raised both of her hands. Her eyes went an icy blue and a miniature Blizzard formed in front of her. Right in the Aerodactyl's path. The winged Gijinka tried to pull back but it was too late. They were caught by the flurry of snow and ice which dragged them down to the ground. With a growl the Gijinka looked up at Isole as she sent forth a strange wind, which howled as though a spirit were inside of it, striking the Aerodactyl and buffeting them from their position kneeling on the floor. The Gijinka opened their mouth and launched a Dragon Breath at Isole, who merely sighed and sent a Thunderbolt at the same time. Both moves hit at once, Isole wincing as the draconic breath hit her body, but the Thunderbolt seemed to be enough to keep the Aerodactyl down. "Good thing you clipped their wing." Isole said to Taiga, not wanting to take credit for the victory. "Is that all?" The king laughed as the downed Gijinka were taken from the ring. "If it was that easy everyone would do it! You two, you're up!" The next to come into the ring resembled a Cradily and Armaldo. The Armaldo looked confident despite the previous victory but the Cradily seemed more nervous. As they watched the Cradily stood perfectly still, and what seemed like roots came from their legs into the ground. Then they shot out a ghostly ray towards Taiga. The Armaldo took position near the front of the Cradily, their claws turning metallic, watching the trio. It seemed he was intent on protecting the Cradily as they attacked from a distance. Team Alola, On the Road to Adarid City The Lucario was silent while the others continued to talk. And then, turning towards them, he said "One minute. And then I continue. If you want to be away from here by then leave now." With that said he raised an arm and pointed it towards the downed Zapdos. Who, for her part, seemed hardly aware of the situation anymore having taken such serious injuries. Team Karaoke, Graveyard of Lost Souls "sorry, but I prefer sweet dreams over painful ones. So, if Giratina and you are of the same mind, does that mean all he wants you to do is kill?" "You know. I think I'll keep your tongue once I tear it off. It seems like the strongest part of you." Raphael said, his own, tongue, tongue snaking out and licking his lips before cackling. "Giratina wants what everyone wants...The world just as they desire. Nothing more. Nothing less. And why shouldn't they have it? They helped make this world you know." He giggled again. "You wouldn't be here without them." More giggling. "I guess sometimes even they get some things wrong." He started forward, claws extended, and lurched forward as they were struck from behind by Kayla's Signal Beam. "Ah, that tickles. I'll deal with you next. And it'll be even more violent just for that, look forward to it!" He then proceeded to ignore the girl, who once more seemed to be blending into the background, and charge towards Nine with surprising speed. ----- All she could see was dark. Where was she? Who was she? Gwen, Gwen....yes, that's right her name was Gwen. So that brought it back to where she was. Then she heard a voice. She had heard this voice before, recently. Name...Raphael. So what were they saying? "I know you. At least...what you are. You're kind of like me, aren't you, priestess?" She saw him standing in front of her. Looming over her. Smiling widely. "What..." "I felt something from you. Something familiar. And I wanted to talk to you, you see. I know what you're doing. And it's very naughty isn't it? Do they know? No, they don't, do they?" He giggled. "You're amazing! I wish you weren't on the wrong side. I think we could get along, you and I." "No, not at all. You're...a beast." "And you're not? No, I suppose not. A beast does it by instinct. You planned this." He shuddered. "Ohhh it gives me such delicious chills. Such a terrible witch you are." Gwen was silent. She didn't know how to answer. Didn't want to answer. Didn't want to talk to this...man anymore. But what was she supposed to do? He wasn't wrong, really. She really was terrible.... "I need you." Gwen blinked. Ah. That was right. That's why... She looked at Raphael and coldly stated "I'll show you terrible." Gwen blinked again. And she was in the graveyard with the rest. Lok looking at her in a panic. She put a hand on his shoulder and gently moved him aside. "I'm here." She said. The Mismagius floated past, as Raphael made his way towards Nine. A ghostly eye appeared above her head and she sent a powerful Hex towards the Banette. The Ghost shuddered and stopped. "Ah, that hurt." He looked over towards Gwendoline "I see you've joined us. Welcome to the fun!" Gwen winced as the disciple hit her with his tortuous combination. But Gwen could play that game too. And Raphael smiled and groaned as he felt some of the pain he had inflicted. "See? Just like me." He growled before shooting out a Shadow Ball towards Gwen.
