  9. The last remaining Bandito mech was knocked back by the plasma blast that Erica suddenly shot at it. Neither the mech nor the orb stopped firing on her even as she attacked and warning lights inside her mech would start to go off. Much more damage and it was likely that the mech would be taking critical damage. However the Bandito mech wouldn't be able to do anything about Erica's mech slamming into it. The cheap mech's armor wasn't able to stand up to the blast followed by the hit and the pilot had to quickly eject to avoid being crushed inside of the machine. On the other side of the ship the orb was slowly approaching Julian, causing massive damage upon the sniper's armor, until suddenly it was blasted out of the air by Sammi's weapon. The machine, clearly not meant to take much damage, dropped down below the ship and exploded. The last orb, its pilot looking around at the wreckage of their companions, decided that enough was enough and it was time to get out of there. And so, the moment it ceased firing on Erica, the orb took off and retreated from the field. There was a silence as the last of the bandits left until... "Heeeelllllll yeeeeeeah!" Came Kelsey's shout from over their headsets. "We showed them! Three cheers for us! Hip hip hooray! Come on guys cheer with me!" "Huh, that went...well." Bianca said. "but why do you think a group of bandits like this attacked a ship like this?" "Who knows." Bianca waved Stella's concerns off. "They're bandits. It's what they do. Probably desperate for anything they can get." "I'm sure they had a reason." The boy responded. "But does it really matter? Whatever they were after they didn't get it. That's the important part. Now come on, why don't we go welcome back the heroes of the day?" he smiled at the two girls. Bianca crossed her arms and let out a "hmph." Then she turned away. "You go ahead. I don't see the point." The boy leaned forward a bit and looked at Stella. "And you, miss?" OOC
  10. "...Alright, you're both being... Really vague, so like, is there something dangerous on this trip or not? If there is, I don't like the idea of letting her go on her own at all..." Rona winced. She was being to obvious. Dammit. Dammit all. It wasn't as though she could explain what she was worried about. For one she didn't know if this girl had any idea and for two, if she did, this wasn't how she'd want it to come out. Not that she wanted it to come out at all... Thankfully she didn't have to say anything at all. "Trouble like...I'm Jouran. She's Jouran. Last I checked, your kind would gladly kill us on sight." Leon seemed to accept this but Rona wasn't quite sure if that was all there was to it. Leon proceeded to ask for payment, which Rona realized what that meant for them, and she had to repress a sigh. But if that was the way it was going to be then so be it. "Do either of you have objections or more questions for her?" She still didn't quite get why he even asked. "Of course not!" Rona said. "You made the decision and I'll follow through with that decision, Commander." Rona nodded firmly. The girl turned towards their new employer, mentally braced herself, and stepped forward. She extended her hand. "Let me start over. I am Rona, of the Iron Falcons, and I will defend you with my life until we reach your destination." Edda warily put out her own hand to shake saying, "I'm Edda...thanks." And now it was awkward. But she had to persevere! Gripping the hand tight she shook it firmly before letting go. "You have nothing to fear with me looking out for you." "right. I uh..." Edda seemed to try to let go, clearly uncomfortable by both the gesture and sudden shift in attitude. Without letting herself show on her face how awkward this was Rona stepped backwards. "We always get the job done, isn't that right?" she aimed the last at her companions.
  11. On the way home Valerie was silent, reflective, as she stared down at her hands. She had thought she was farther ahead than that. The tests weren't difficult. She thought she had breezed through them easily. But almost everyone managed to complete it without too much trouble. They even surpassed her in some ways. Her hands clenched into fists. She couldn't let that happen. She was slacking. She'd have to do better next time Valerie had to be number one. "Today you will be splitting into two teams. Team 1 will consist of the following: Suda Hiroharu, Katsurou Yamauchi, Diana Seigi, Valerie Clark, Misu Yoshino, and Yuudai Shiba." Valerie glanced over at her current "teammates". Several of them had shown impressive physical feats already. Meaning that today she'd have to be sure to go extra hard to make up for it. "Alright team, let's show em what we're made of!" She declared as she made her way to the bus. A bus which took them to...a forest? She looked at the man with them warily. He seemed strong. But she couldn't really judge him based on that. That Diana girl seemed small but she had shown some serious strength before. She shook her head as she watched the trees grow closer. Who thought it was a good idea to send her into the woods? She couldn't go all out here at all. As much as she hated to admit it it looked like today she'd have to take it easy. "This is Ewok Forrest. It's a national state park, untouched by civilization. However, we've heard reports from park rangers about a strange presence within the forest. We might be dealing with squatters, but let's see what we can scrounge up." Hearing the sounds of water nearby Valerie perked up. "I'll go check out by that river. If ya need me for anything just follow the sound of the water!" That way if something happened she could dive into the water and hopefully prevent disaster. Confident, if not satisfied, with her plan the girl took off at a jog in the direction of the water noises.
  12. Found this a bit earlier and listened to it 3 times so far.
  13. Team Alola, Day 27, Trailsau "There's a whole bunch of guys down there who love to fight; go down and fight them yourself." Heatran roared back in response, the volcano the two were climbing down starting to rumble more violently. "Stop that!" "Do not mock me, come back here and fight NOW!" Heatran shouted. And then volcano's rumbling increased. Gouts of lava began to shoot up behind the man who clung to the lip of the volcano. "Fight me before it's too late you COWARDS!" Heatran's roar echoed throughout the town. And the volcano approached the point of eruption. Team Karaoke, Day 37, Alpha The Enforcer stepped back from Kayla and gave her room to stand up. The next moment she was standing beside Nine and Lok, looking downward, hiding her face. He gave a raspy groan as Nine asked his question. "None can stand up to me." He said, crossing his arms. "Which is the only reason they haven't launched a full attack on this town. But with the power of a Legend..." His eyes turned to Lok and Gwen, giving them both knowing looks, "The odds would be much more even." Looking back at Nine he half shrugged. "I doubt they will send their strongest. In that case you probably have nothing to truly worry about as long as you aren't weak." Then back to Lok. "But if you haven't grown stronger, this will prove an impossible task." ----- After all was said and done the four adventurers, though it took Gwen some time to convince her father to let her go, set out down south. They couldn't be sure where they were headed but they were told they'd "know when they got there." Gwen attempted to keep things light as they went. But the dismal, dead, scenery made it difficult. The land was grey as far as they could see. The occasional attempt at plant life poked through the soil but it was more often than not simple skeletal trees and blackened grass. The occasional wind that passed through was cold and sharp, but without much force, and even it couldn't so much as stir the ground. "So what kind of Legend do you think we're looking for? It can't be a very strong one if we have to protect them, right? I wonder if they'll be friendly." Gwen asked. Kayla seemed even more silent than usual. However unlike usual she didn't seem to just vanish and reappear at random. Instead she kept her gaze on her feet as she shuffled along, only occasionally reacting to a sudden word or breeze. It seemed that she had some concerns of her own but what those were was anyone's guess. Team Mac, Day 23, Ogren "I swear you're a magnet for them, Mac," "I don't have a Magnet." Mac said, rolling her eyes. "But if you find one I bet it'd help a lot." "So, you wanna... talk to him or something?" He asked. "Please... please don't fight during the party," "Hey I know that!...I'll wait until it ends! You're telling me you don't want to take this chance to fight another Legend? I bet we can take this one." Mac nodded firmly. While it was likely Kazo didn't want their conversation overheard Mac's signature voice combined with Tornadus's excellent hearing caused the Legend to notice the end of her sentence. He floated his way there and they would notice that, while he had legs, he was traveling with what seemed to be a gathering of wispy clouds under his feet. "So, little lady, you wanna tussle with the muscle do ya?" He said, flexing one arm. "I can't say I expected to hear that from some shrimps like you. What's your names?" He leaned down and narrowed his eyes, staring at Kazo. "And what's this familiar smell I sense on you..." Team Neo Not Dark, Day 33, We got the beat here "So... um... whaddya all do for fun in Merm?" The Starmie and Poliwrath looked at each other in confusion for a moment. Then the Starmie seemed to relax a bit while the Poliwrath appeared more guarded. "Seahorse races, parades, light shows, there's a lot always going on! It feels like every week is a festival of some kind." The Starmie responded. "No one here ever lacks for something to do." The Poliwrath followed up with a grunt. "Not a fan myself but it keeps the people happy. I'd rather just spend more time in the gym..." "Why do you ask? What, you uh, want to stick around or something?" The Starmie asked. "I don't know if the king would let you do that...but you could try!" The Poliwrath cringed. "I'd love to see his face." She muttered. --- The king's face was not pleased as Dora explained that they were on a mission from a Legend. "What's wrong?" His wife asked and he shook his head. "No, it's nothing to fret about. Dora, keep your mother company, I need to confirm something." He reached down and patted the girl's head before leaning over towards his sickly wife and lovingly kissing her forehead. "I'll be back soon." Team Showdown, Day 31, Rayquaza's Pad Isole looked around and let out a sigh. "Great. Heat. Fun." She said, sweat already pouring down her forehead. By the time they escaped the camels, which turned out to be in the huge pen known as Camelpalooza, and made their way towards the inn she was, metaphorically speaking, dragging her feet. And once they actually reached said inn she was literally dragging her feet. Floating low to the ground and her feet brushing against the sand. "This place is disgusting." She muttered, and, perhaps surprisingly, her face actually showed some emotion as she was pouting. Once inside the inn she relaxed, slightly, as the cool darkness enveloped them. Though it was still far too hot for her comfort. Tapping Scarlet she muttered. "How strong is that Waterfall of hers? Think it might cool me down?" Meanwhile Taiga was getting a bunch of stairs as she made her rather loud entrance. A young boy, gulping nervously, ran up the stairs nearby and a bit later came down guiding the elderly Vibrava. "Calm down calm down." She told the boy. "I'm moving as fast as I can do you want me to break my leg?" She looked up at Taiga and squinted. "Who are you? Do I know you? Did you come here for some pie? I'm busy right now young lady so just sit down and wait a spell. Quietly, if you would, I could hear your shouting all the way upstairs."

  15. And round 3 is over! Lot of close matches, some surprised me, especially Cath, the RNG nomination, moving on to the top 16, but either way I'm just gonna jump to the list for next round Interesting to see that two games claim most of the nominations left. And there's only 3 boys left in the whole thing! And only one post awakening and similarly only one pre-sacred stones. I'll get the matches up for the next round (all of them since there's only 8 matches next round) up either tomorrow or day after tomorrow.
  16. Uhhh, well that's certainly a unique intro. Hope you find something you wanna do around here and have yourself a good time.

  18. Girl wakes up in a house that's not her own, the doors are locked, the windows covered, and there's a strange sound coming from the basement.
  19. So a thought I have been having and wondered people here's opinion on it. Basically...should the general public have a say in what a creator does and if so how much? Recent examples would be Sekiro, where people complained about a lack of an Easy mode, and the response usually tended towards it being the creator's choice and they didn't have to change things. And on the other hand there's the Sonic movie where the public's outcry against his design caused the creators to decide to change said design. The specific examples don't need to be discussed but that's the general idea. What do you all think?
