  1. As the questioning between the princess and the maid continued, Alois let out a sigh as it seemed that this was getting them nowhere. As Penelope turned to Alois, suggesting what was about to happen, he simply said, "yeah yeah alright." Placing more pressure on the maid's arms the boy said, "so a noble's a noble eh? Sure, but where do you think you'll find your next paycheck from? A disgraced asshole who left you here to fend for yourself? One that's probably gonna die or be thrown in jail in the next few hours anyway. Or better yet, where do you think you'll find employment as a killer without arms?" The woman attempted to shift in place, gritting her teeth when she couldn't move. "Tough talk from Sir Noodle Arms 'imself. E'en wivvout arms I could take ye, one on one, when yer not hidin' behind some bird's skirts." Alois's brow furrowed, clear annoyance on his face as he said, "alright." With his patience with this woman having been tested and already having the go ahead from Penelope he let go of one of her arms, bringing a knee to her gut before she could move and taking a hard swing at the woman's face. Resuming his hold the boy glared at her. "I'm not a professional at this, I'm just pissed. So I'll keep doing this until my employer tells me not to, and I've taken stronger folks arms then yours." A pause, before a very obviously annoyed, "bitch." "Oof," the woman let out a grunt, eyes going unfocused for a moment before she leaned her head sideways and spat at his feet. "Fine, fine." She laughed in a crackly voice. "Whaddaya wanna know? I'm warnin' ya, though. I don't know nuffin'." Giving a wry smile Alois said, "that's the spirit. Alright, first, what were you hired for?" "I was hired to look after 'is lordship." The maid smiled. "I clean the place, cook the meals, and if'n the worst comes to pass an' a group of bullies like you come along, I protect 'im." "Was ''is lordship'," a clear mock in his tone as he referred to Gaston as such, "the one who hired you?" "Who else?" the maid spat. "Sure, 'e ain't the friendliest, but at least 'e pays well." "Alright let's try this then. Has he ever talked with any other nobles you've seen, around here or otherwise?" "Not that I've seen. Ye can ask any o' the villagers about that. They'd be on it quicker 'an flies on honey. Just can't shut their yaps when it comes to gossip." Unsatisfied, Alois sighs for a moment before saying, "fine. Last question then. The princess- the bigger one that came in here not her. What happened to her?" "Oh, her. She got drunk an' passed out. I helped put 'er to bed in the guest room meself. Ain't seen 'er since but I ain't been payin' attention, what wiv everyfing going on and you standin' here 'olding me arms hostage." The maid scoffed. "Great," Alois said curtly. Turning to Penelope he said, "well, we've already searched every guest room there is and there hasn't been any trace of Cat. At least we know what happened." Turning back to the maid he said, "now, see, was answering a few questions really so hard?" With Gaston no longer being on his horse, Tsetseg kept her bow at the ready to fire an arrow off if he tried anything against either Cora or Link. She got an arrow ready and was about to pull it back just to prepare, when she spotted something else. She had been aware of the wyvern, obviously, the whole time and had been somewhat conscious of its actions even though Gaston falling off his horse had given her a brief lapse in spotting it. But she noticed it was no longer doing anything, save for staring back at her. The girl locked eyes with it, seeming to understand that there was some kind of a challenge being provided from it on an instinctual level, letting out a growl to match its own. Hers was, of course, much less intimidating coming from a smaller, human, body though perhaps was equally as so for that very reason. While she had a half mind to respond to it with actual violence, as it was no longer attacking anything and Gaston was running, Tsetseg had to put her grudge behind herself for a moment. Pulling back her arrow, she broke the staring contest with the wyvern as she fired it towards Gaston's leg, attempting to keep the hysterical man from fleeing in anyway.
  2. "Right, well, um, my turn. Draw." After a brief pause, Fen then looked at her cards for a moment and then looked back to the field at hand. She was pretty sure things were looking pretty bad for them, and Melissa's field was wide open now with Fen not having any way to prevent a direct attack on the girl. Add to that while her Nettles was surely able to overcome the Ant, it would only put Melissa even closer to losing if the rest of Fiona's monsters were anything to go by. And Fen barely had anything in her deck to stand up to those things. It was then that the girl looked at the cards in her hand more closely before perking up, figuring she had something for this. "Oh, okay. So, I summon Bacon Saver in attack mode. And well, now I have Nettles attack Self Destruct Ant." And so sentient grass destroyed the bomb ant. (Fiona LP 6500 --> 6300) "Well, as my ant is destroyed, I will have it do 1000 damage to....how about you take it this time, Melissa?" "Alright, that makes sense." (Melissa LP 2500 -> 1500) "And so well, next Bacon Saver attacks directly." (Fiona LP 6300 --> 5600) "Next, I'll go and activate my spell card Mystik Wok. So, Bacon Saver is tributed to give me 700 life points." Placing the two cards in the grave and having her Life Points raise in turn the girl said, "and uh, yeah, that's my turn." (Fen LP 1600 --> 2300) Fiona drew a card and before even looking at it said "Well first of all, I play Pot of Avarice. Bringing these Monsters back into my deck, and then drawing two more cards." She then looked at her cards and smiled. "And now I summon her, Traptrix Atrax. With Gaia Power out this little angel has 2300 Attack." She glanced over at Fen, and frowned a moment, before turning her gaze to Melissa. "Now lets see what happens when I attack Melissa directly." “Oh, well I activate my Bacon Saver. Who uh, negates your attack.” "How shocking." Fiona said with a sigh. "I will set one card and that will be that. Oh, what a scary situation I've found myself in." Fen for her part smiled earnestly, her plan having gone off without a hitch and looking to Melissa as if to tell her that she had her back. OOC
  3. With the group having met back up again, Lana grimaced at the sight of the shadow darting away from the light and listened to what Estelle had said about their mystery enemy. "Great. More magical zombies to deal with." The girl let out a heavy sigh before Estelle asked if they were injured at all. While it was true that she had gotten a small hit from the zombie earlier Lana didn't really think it was something so urgent that she needed healing from. After just shaking her head no, the girl looked towards the mausoleum near them. There was a door on the east side of the building, and as she made her way over to the rest of the group she was able to notice that there was a second door on the southern side. Not wanting to just blindly wade further into the mist and deal with the creepy staring shadow zombie thing, or the what sounded like a zombie coming from the north end of the room, the girl walked over to the mausoleum to check it out. After all it was the biggest point of interest in the room. "I'm gonna try to open it," the girl declared as she paused, grimacing and saying, "uh, get ready if anything crazy jumps out." Walking up to the door, the girl placed her hand on the door and pushed, only to find that it didn't budge at all. Looking at the door, she noticed that there was a keyhole on the door of it, and started saying, "hey Chris, the door's locked do you think you could-" The sound of something running towards her interrupted her and the sudden clawing of her arm made her swear under her breath. The girl reflexively looked to the side, seeing the figure of a ghoul that attacked her, before swinging her axe immediately towards it. The ghoul dodged backwards from her attack and Lana herself was starting to feel her arm numb, a familiar sensation though not quite the full paralysis she had encountered on the last floor. As she cursed under her breath again, the girl saw a skeleton approaching with a sword in hand. Her mood only turning fouler the girl said, "oh great more of them. Ugh, alright." The girl gripped her axe, her annoyance growing as the numbed arm wasn't gripping quite as tightly as she'd like. "Stupid undead." OOC New Map
  4. With the job having been finished and Carmen having gone home, she did not immediately get to bed. How could she? After all, she had yet another harrowing life or death experience with the paranormal and while even her paranoid mind was able to figure out that that specific ghost was not going to be a problem to her anymore, she didn't know if there was anything else that would appear in the middle of the night to attack her. And well, she probably would've been awake at this time of the night regardless of her job anyway. So, getting home, the girl walked into her apartment room, booting up her PC and taking out her tablet. With stylus pen in hand, the girl started to draw feverishly into the early morning. When she awoke next it was already three in the afternoon. Slowly picking her head up off her desk, having fallen asleep there, the girl briefly recoiled as she looked at her screen. In part because what she had drawn had evoked the same feelings of unease from last night; a picture depicting two girls making their way through what was presumably a school corridor in the middle of the night, a flash light being their only guide and just behind them lurking in the darkness was a strange humanoid looking figure covered in seaweed, as if it just emerged from a bog, stalking them from the darkness. The second reason this caused her to recoil was because she had drawn a few unnecessary lines all over the place when she was falling asleep and had to get rid of those before posting it to her blog. After she corrected her work, Carmen went about her day as normal. Eating a cup of instant noodles and a bagel for lunch, lamenting at the state of the pantry and just watching videos on art, the paranormal and random cooking videos, granting herself knowledge that she would never make use of. It wasn't until she was up for a few more hours that she realized she didn't have anything for dinner and was probably going to need food soon. It was then that she received a message from Shiki. While the girl was typically incredibly wary of clicking any strange link from even a trusted source, she didn't dare not to click something that Shiki had sent her. Checking Shiki's messages, though, were never enjoyable and this one in specific was almost like one of those cursed chain mails, making her wonder if she'd have to send it to ten other people - she didn't even have ten other people to send it to! - or be cursed. Thankfully that was not the case. Unthankfully it was essentially a posting for a new job. Letting out a defeated groan, the girl decided to get her shopping out of the way now before the mission fully started. After a brief trip to the convenience store, bags of snacks and instant meals in hand, the girl was shocked and unnerved to find that pulling up to her was none other than Shiki's van. That Shiki knew where she was even when not at home was nothing short of unsettling and the girl was terrified to get closer to it, until the door opened to reveal that it was just Brian. While the man certainly didn't give her any sense of comfort she had at least worked with him and knew him to be not a ghost, or she at least believed he wasn't, and that he was stuck in the same situation as her made her reluctance to get into the car both more evident but easier to work through. "Ugh...I barely started my day..." The girl groaned as she walked on board. She placed her groceries down in the van and then was startled, hopping in place as the radio had Shiki's voice come through it. "I don't want to go someplace like that but uh, I guess...we should go?"
  5. When all was said and done Chester was filled with renewed zeal and an inner strength that allowed him to stride to Jirachi and the others, ready to take on and tackle any problem that may have come their way. Of course he stood resolutely and fearless towards the coming light that encroached upon them, no matter the half assurances that Jirachi had given them and the rather ominous way the light had moved towards them. He knew that he was here to save the world and with everyone else at his side, even if he didn't know all of them fully, he could most certainly do it. Of course this unshakable confidence was briefly shaken by the disorienting sensation of being teleported but the metaphorical fall was only brief before he metaphorically rose through such discomfort in an equally short amount of time. With the blinding light having faded and his eyes and sense of balance having adjusted to the new environment, Chester could tell definitely feel the ominous presence of the woods that they were in, made only more ominous by the encroaching mist coming upon them. Jirachi had mentioned that their goal would either be a success of failure here, but Chester had not gotten to where he was today by simply believing he would fail at every turn. No, he was here to save the world, work alongside his comrades and help them all return home safely and no obstacle of madness or violence would stop him. Of course such gusto would get him nowhere if he simply charged forward, only more evident as Jirachi had made their advice known about what to do. Chester looked at the badge he was given, clenching onto it in stubby hand as he directed his mind to happier thoughts. Chester could only remember his time on the forums. He had no memory of what his life was outside of that, what his world was like. He didn't know who he associated with, what he did for a living was or even what his current goals were. He knew that he was going to school and working feverishly towards a degree of some kind, but he didn't ever really mention what major, why he wanted it or even how close he was to attaining it. But he didn't need what he couldn't remember to give him satisfaction. In fact, he was already satisfied, perhaps already living his best life on the forum. Sure his job as a moderator was stress inducing; bots continually appearing to spam the thread with who knew what, the populace constantly going at each other's throats for one reason or another, making sure rules were followed and requests were listened to and even having to pester other moderators about things that were currently non-functional with the site. He didn't mind any hate or jeering he got from the crowd because at the end of the day he was doing his job and he liked his job. But that was abstract and while it evoked a feeling of pride in him it was hardly the all encompassing joy that was probably needed for such a wish. So he only needed to go back further. He had always loved this community, from the very first day he joined in it. As cheesy as it may have been it was the truth. He loved the vast wealth of knowledge that everyone had collaborated together and making, he enjoyed the in depths discussions about games and pastimes that he actually loved. Sure there was times where it was stressful, there were times where he didn't get along with others and an innumerable times he was heckled for being an "ass kisser" or "mini mod," but those didn't bother him too much. After all he was the one following the rules and he was the one typically being civil. But, if that's how they wanted to view him than so be it. He always felt that he was working towards the communities best interest, and if people were mad at him for working with the mods and already "doing a mod's job," then there was only one thing to do about that. Chester was starting to realize that he perhaps was more of a competitive person then he first gave himself credit for. After all, he wanted to be a mod for altruistic means but he certainly couldn't deny the catharsis that came with proving the naysayers either wrong or right, depending on how you looked at it, and gaining his mod ship. He felt ecstatic that day the position was crowned onto him, though. And beyond the feeling of competitive triumph there was an overwhelming sense of pride and bliss as he had been the one chosen by the mods to become the next mod and he was similarly accepted by the people. Sure there was jokes and jeers about it, but the idea that it was an "obvious choice" made the validation granted from even the negative comments all the better. And so, pouring that joy and sense of accomplishment into his badge, into the vision of a clearer, brighter forest and WISHED.
  6. Fen nodded as Melissa made her comment about the face down before saying, "right well, my turn. Draw." A brief pause yet again. "Alright I will summon Nettles in attack mode. And...hmm...I suppose I'll go to my battle phase. Nettles, attack Goblin Attack Force. Or do I just call it the face down monster?" "Heh, well it won't matter whatever you call it because I activate my trap!" Fiona revealed one of her two cards in the spell/trap zone, which turned out to be Final Attack Orders. As soon as the Monster flipped back face up it was forced into Attack Position. "Oh, that is quite bad for me." Thinking on it for a moment she said, "oh, I can do this. I activate the spell card Rush Recklessly, since it is a quick play spell card which means I can play it now. Oh and Nettles too has an effect," the girl seemed excited, having barely used monster effects before, "which means I can sacrifice Inmato instead of letting it be destroyed." As her tomato was destroyed, the loss of life points was significantly lessened from the attack and her attacking monster had managed to stay alive. (Fen LP 2000 ---> 1600) As her battle phase ended Fen mulled over her decision making, wondering if it had truly been the correct one before saying, "well, I don't think I can do much else. So I'll set two cards face down and end my turn."' OOC
  7. After a friendly chat and interrogation with Hellhound, Sibyl made her way over to the main meeting place where everyone was chatting about what to do next. While Sibyl was wondering once more why she was here at this round table discussion, not usually enjoying the nitty gritty of treaty talk and diplomacy between the various factions, she perked up at the idea of having to deal with an S-Class. Sibyl always had a passing interest in Caesar, after all he was also a gang boss and had a host of interesting people around him, the fact that he escalated to this status made her all the more interested. She didn't really know if he was actually any more threatening then before or if they just decided he was a threat that needed dealing with now. Not that the specifics mattered, the idea of a full out war with another gang war was enticing enough to her as it was. However, the discussions about what to do to fight them seemed to not come to an immediate conclusion. Lachesis frowned. "Even putting aside the logistical issues -- and don't say you'll just do it yourself, Aeon -- the public wiki's got enough hearsay and best-guesses on it, there'd be no way to be sure everyone tagged on there really has a Gibbons affiliation," she said. "The moment you're wrong about that kind of stuff, the whole operation's a failure. And putting aside all of that as well, it's just the same plan again, but you say you're targeting the people directly instead of their houses, and we already said we're not doing that." "'We' meaning you," Victor said. "And my sisters, at the very least." Lachesis gestured to Clotho and Atropos, who both waved. "Don't people normally have to pay you to get your protection? Isn't that your whole racket?" "I like the isolation idea," Stanley said, desperate to smooth over the brewing argument. "Caesar's power does require other people around him. I don't think Legion will be going anywhere, but Hellhound's capture demonstrates a willingness to deploy his other higher-ups. If we spread out and start enough conflicts at once, we could draw those out. That has its own logistical problems, of course, and still doesn't answer the main problem of how we find Caesar after that, but it's a start." "Well, just beating up random people isn't really my style anyway," Sibyl spoke up as if that mattered to the whole crowd. "Random violence is pointless, but I guess it's better than putting out a government notice to use that as an excuse to beat people up and burn down their homes or something." The girl chuckled to herself saying, "Lach is right, you don't know how these people think. The plan lacks both soul and a way to make people care, right? No one's gonna care if some stuffy suit comes in saying "hey get out or get killed," or something. So, when you need a lot of misanthropes to go where you want there's only one thing to do." The girl gave a bit of a pause, as if to add for some dramatic flair. "An event! You gotta speak to them in a way they know and a party, an exhibition, a show case, a street brawl, a riot anything like that. You're only gonna get people out of their homes if you give them something fun to look at, and when you do, that's when the sanctioned violence happens."
  8. Lana winced as she was hit in the shoulder by the zombie and let out a, "waa" as she was pulled around by the zombie. Though she managed to free herself, she didn't do much more after her first hit as the zombie had managed to be dispatched of by Ziun's efforts. That didn't seem to be the end of it though. Lana was starting to get used to the steady and constant stream of undead that had been coming at them, find it both tiring but maybe more welcoming then having to deal with the waves that the other floors had had thus far. Of course, she was still on edge from how little she couldn't see, and she didn't even know if there was an end to this kind of stuff. Ziun had been first to intercept the skeleton this time, exchanging blows with it until it managed to stab him with its lack of a hand. Moving around it, Lana went to keep it from doing any more damage as she heft her axe up and smashed down into the skull of the creature. The now headless and handless skeleton stepped back only to now be open for the girl's next attack. Bringing her axe back, the girl took another swing at the skeleton, this time at the spine of the creature to shatter it entirely. With the skeleton falling into the fog before them, Lana pulled her axe back saying, "well, let's walk back to the others just incase more of these creeps come at us." And so she turned around and walked back to meet up with Chris and Estelle.
  9. As Jacklyn made her proclamation about training Anima had immediately split off to go do some of her own. With just her an Anneliese to do their own training the two went off to explore the area around them. With Anneliese being distracted by just about everything along the way, though it wasn't as if her curiosity was any problem to Jacklyn. "My, the grass really is tall, do they not have a caretaker here?" "Caretaker huh? I know some public spaces have people mow their lawn, but I don't think I've ever seen so much grass in one place before so I guess not? But more tall grass just means more places to scour and find things in! After all, you can't hide something if it's shorter than a blade of grass right?" "Oh goodness that man is wearing such dark clothes, and a mask at that, does he not get warm running in the sun so much?" "Just be careful if he starts trying to sell you poketchs or something." It wasn't until a bit later, after Anneliese had been attacked by a wild starly and started getting into a trainer battle of her own - "yeah, take him down, Anneliese!" - that Jacklyn had realized that she had been so wrapped up in keeping pace with what her companion had been doing that she had been neglecting her own training montage. Not that there was much need for her specifically since she and Rus were already the ultimate combo, but there was no reason to deny herself such fun either. Splitting from Anneliese for a moment, the girl then looked into the grass to see what she could find. There were wild pokemon all over the place for Rus to take on and fight, but of course Jacklyn had a shiny new premiere ball to use and wanted to add to her team. And of course it couldn't just be any pokemon that she got, she needed something that truly spoke to her. Sure Starly's were neat and all, and Jacklyn understood the necessity of having a bird in her adventuring team. After searching for a bit, and Rus embering away some of the wild pokemon that came at her, Jacklyn was disappointed in the lack of anything that really drew her attention. As she was ready to get out of the tall grass and go back to Anneliese to see how her fight had gone, the girl stopped as her eyes fixed onto something. What appeared to be a pokemon, one she recognized as Buneary if only because she had a predisposition to such types of pokemon, had stumbled towards her. A clueless expression on its face as it looked at Rus and Jacklyn, cocking its head and letting out a, "bu?" Most strikingly to Jacklyn though was neither the pokemon nor the way it acted towards her. She knew what a Buneary was. She knew how one looked. Brown fur with like a beige? fluff around its ears and bottom fur. But this one, it had more a red and pink tinge to its fur, something far more unique then a regular Buneary. A shine in her eyes Jacklyn shouted, "Rus! Rus! Look! Look! Isn't that amazing!? I've never seen a Buneary like that before, are you like super rare? Super strong? Super cute? Of course you are! Alright come on Rus!" An annoyed expression crossed Rus at his trainer's exuberance but it was quickly switched to a more fierce one as he got ready to battle. The Buneary, however, still seemed incredibly clueless about what was happening, seeming to throw Rus a bit off his game before Jacklyn shouted, "go and tackle it!" The Lepash moved quick and slammed itself into the Buneary, the pokemon rolling back from the hit before landing on its feet and hopping back up. Seeming to know that there was now indeed a fight going on, the expression of the Buneary changed as well to that of something trying its best impression at something that would be seen as tough. Hopping in place, the Buneary started to close the distance between itself and Rus before hopping in place...and that was it. Rus was, again, thrown off its game as the Buneary appeared to be doing nothing of consequence. "And now hit it with an ember!" The Lepash reluctantly complied as it shot fire from its mouth towards the Buneary. With the pokemon weakened Jacklyn said, "alright, so you weaken them first before going in for the capture right? Well, Rus is plenty strong so that should be enough. So come on and join the team!" With that, the girl took out her premiere ball out of her bag before tossing it at the still confused but active Buneary. The pokemon was enveloped in the light from the Premiere Ball. One shake. Two shake. Three shake. "Wahoo let's - " It broke free. Jacklyn froze in place, her exuberant expression locked in shock, before it finally shifted into a more humorless one. Buneary, for its part, didn't seem to understand what had just happened, instead hopping around harmlessly yet again. Letting her head fall and hang in shame, her arms following suit, the girl let out a heavy sigh. Taking out a regular pokeball she tossed it again. One shake. Two shake. Three Shake. Click. Jacklyn walked over, defeated in spite of her victory and picked up the pokeball. Looking at the newly caught pokemon's pokeball, then to Rus's, the back and forth again the girl said, "maybe I'll paint it a different color." Sending out the pokeball to see her new companion, the Buneray was let out, letting out yet another "bu," as it did. In spite of its injury and combat with Rus, it didn't seem to harbor any hard feelings about what had just happened. Rus, who still didn't really feel like he had taken a fight he wanted at all, was still a bit confused letting out a "pa," as it apologize to the Buneary. The Buneary simply cocked its head to the side, walking over to Rus and patting it on the head, which elicited the Lepash to back off a bit. Staring at the Buneary, Jacklyn's previous disappointment had all but vanished as she simply shouted, "you're so cute!" Diving in and picking it up, rubbing her face against it she said, "what an adorable pokemon and party member! Welcome to the squad uh," the girl looked at the Buneary before saying, "Cherry! That's your name now! Welcome aboard Cherry, c'mon let's go meet up with the others!" With that, she let go of the Buneary before running back to meet up with Anneliese, the two bunny pokemon following from behind. When she caught up, it had seemed Anneliese had almost caught to Anima before asking Jacklyn for pointers. Confused by the question she said, "speak loud? Hm, I can't really think of how I do it but people seem to be able to hear me easy enough. Oh I know!" A flash of insight came to the girl. "It's simply really. It's all about projecting your adventurous spirit! First, look to who you want to hear you. Then, think about how much you want them to hear you. And then!" The girl took a deep breath before shouting, "hey Anima! Look what I found!" Smiling to Anneliese she said, "like that see? Oh, oh, oh, you should also look at what I found too. Say hello to Cherry, my newest pokemon!" The girl threw her hands to the side to emphatically point at the Buneary that had just caught up with her.
  10. With the plan set and the group beginning to set up camp for the night, in their effort to bring in the lycans to them she was about to go help set up camp with the others when Pan and Cym had asked their question about Damien. While it was true that knowing more about him would help the two look out for him as well, even she could tell that there was some kind of intrinsic curiosity they had about him. Though, it wasn't like Ryia herself wasn't curious about the boy and being people who lived here all their lives, she could imagine how news of a human familiar with their forest would be even more intriguing. Though Lindow had seemed to blow them off, Ryia didn't see any real harm in giving a description if they hoped to have him join back up with all of them again anyway. Putting a finger to her chin, Ryia explained to Pan, "well, he's about um, this high I guess." She raised her hand to the appropriate level. Thinking about him more she was like, "he's a kind of uh, lanky? But like, also well, it's not like he looks like, un-muscley or uh..." The girl trailed off, starting to get embarrassed as she was completely fumbling over how to explain this. "Uh, well, uh, he's got messy hair? That's uh, yeah."
  11. Carmen, still on edge was, similarly in line with Brian's thinking about opening Shiki's fridge. She didn't really doubt that Shiki could cook or purchase food, not that she really believed that they could either it was just not a thought that had ever occurred to her, but the idea of taking something from her boss's fridge without permission was an utterly terrifying and nonsensical one to her. Carmen was also fine with whoever driving home as well - anyone that wasn't her at least - and getting home. She wasn't exactly tired from the time of day, or rather the time of day had no bearing on her naturally tired state that was only exacerbated by the constant fear induced adrenaline life and job she lead, and still had things she had to check online and shows she had to watch. However, she was more than ready to get away from the graveyard, lest some other spirit pop out from beyond and attempt to haunt her through the night. When the topic of having to hang out came up, Carmen froze in place and looked to Brian, thinking about the idea of hanging out with him. On a good day she didn't even want to hang out with the very few people she considered friends, outside of hanging out online. As Brian offered to trade phone numbers, the girl pulled out her phone to trade contact, if for no other reason then having someone else to panic call in the event of a supernatural saying, "I uh...I don't...gym. And yeah I'll just um, stay home and uh, not. Yeah." The girl didn't add any sort of "no offense" to her comment before going onto the camper and getting ready to go home.
  12. The elephant like creature seemed utterly ambivalent to the Exalted's existence, being as far away as it was and not seeming to look their way either as it continued walking along. However, the gang would realize something as they continued to walk and talk about elephant murdering, the dark power that lie deep within draconic blood and train station attendant hats, and how best to optimize their combat. It was starting to get darker. There was something strange about how the light worked in this country to begin with as no matter where they looked there was no sun to be found. There was no sunset sky or changes in the horizon as the day progressed. If anyone possessed decent navigational skills it would also seem as if they light wasn't even moving so much as it was just receding - like a light bulb being dimmed. However, the darkening of the sky seemed to be two fold. It wasn't just the light that was going out, as if they looked to the horizon they could parts around them brighter then others. It was as if the clouds themselves were getting darker. As this darkness set in, the elephant seemed to stop in its tracks only to then squat down and enter something of a sitting position, the rock in its back pointed straight to the sky. The group would then notice a few drops of water falling from the sky. OOC
  13. Lana looked at Ziun with a small bit of disbelief as she exclaimed, "at least move so she can see you!" It was then that she noticed that Chris was having to tangle with two of the undead at once. While he had managed to hold his own relatively well, the girl still thought she'd be able to move in and help even the odds. Without much warning, she charged forward, not really caring to mind Ziun being directly in her way as she shoved past him and moved straight for the zombie. Chris's sword had managed to cut through the zombie's neck, the undead's head now only hanging off of the neck loosely, but the undead itself didn't seem to mind or stop in its pursuit as it continued towards the boy. It was stopped, however, as Lana had charged in, using the head of her axe to shove the body of zombie and causing it to topple to the floor. The zombie attempted to get back up, however Lana wouldn't allow such a thing as she brought her axe up and swung the blade down into its chest. Now re-lifeless, the undead corpse lied on the ground. "Gotcha," she said, both as a declaration of victory to the zombie and as a means of reassurance to Chris. Looking past Chris however, the girl saw that Estelle was still doing fine as she was on her way to regroup with the rest of the party. Waving to the girl she said, "we're over here!" The girl kept her eyes peeled though, ready to move at a moment's notice if something had appeared from behind the girl.
  14. Jacklyn raised an eyebrow, a bit annoyed at Fuyumi's response saying, "jeez what's her problem?" The girl then shrugged, not really lingering on it much longer before she turned to Anneliese. Smiling at the girl she said, "oh yeah, Rus and I are the best of partners!" She gave an annoyed frown as she saw the Lepash walking over to the Shinx, still not paying her any mind, before going back to smiling. "But yeah, we're just like, naturally in sync in combat or something. I don't know how much battling you've done before, but you just gotta like, feel it. You know? Just whatever you think is best and shout it and I'm sure you and Leopold will work amazingly together!" Rus was a competitive pokemon through and through, and normally he would be fine being standoffish with Leopold. However, the Lepash could only let out a, "...pa..." as he seemed to understand the plight that the Shinx was soon to face, unable to do anything but sympathize. "Well, anyway, you're right. Let's get going! I think she probably went to the pokemon center so might as well go check that out. Come on Rus," the girl brought out her pokeball, bringing the pokemon back in. On the way to the pokemon center, the duo ran into their third who Jacklyn could see was looking a little more down than usual. Jacklyn frowned, less annoyed this time, but didn't really comment on it instead saying, "well, see you back there. Come on Anneliese, let's heal up and then get to adventuring!" Once their pokemon center trip had finished, the two of them made it on to the route proper, waving to Anima saying, "heeeeeyyyyy! We're here!" Getting onto the road the girl then took in a deep breath, before letting out a heavy exhale. "Ah, that's the smell of Adventure if ever there was one! And like, grass." The girl then said to her companions, "alright, we're here now! No longer bound by the confines of our starting town. And so, the world is our cloyster! We can go anywhere we want! As long as it's on this road I guess, but anywhere from there!" After rambling about it for a bit, the girl said, "well, with that out of the way we got some training to do! After all, even though we won overall, you still loss Anima and Anneliese you still aren't confident. So, as our leader I can't just let things stay the way they are. No no. And everyone knows an important part of adventuring is the training arc! The making new friends! Rising above adversity so that when you go into your rematch you kick some wild butt!" The girl punched her fist into the air, before pausing. Not really knowing how else to finish this she said, "well anyway let's take on whatever challenges are on this route head first!"
  15. Carmen didn't how she felt about being called unusual by Shiki, and she didn't think it was weird that someone would note something loud was loud. Of course, she was not loud and would never voice this out loud, instead continuing to stand by as Shiki spoke to the tombstone. Prior to a few weeks ago Carmen didn't really have any thoughts on the after life. Sure, she kind of wished there was one and that the dead would stay there instead of haunting the earth, but any actual specifics she didn't know of. She had always thought ghosts were real, or at the very least always had a real fear of them despite how impossible it would have seemed. Yet Shiki was speaking to their gravestone, both talking about helping them pass on and their next life. The girl still had no idea of what to make of that, whether it was something metaphorical or literal, and she didn't know how much her employer actually knew about such concepts. Obviously more than her at least. With her confusion about such a thing being unsolved, the group began to make their way out of the graveyard. Though, feeling like there was a fourth person involved in this conversation, and feeling awkward and fearful of not following proper social convention, the girl gulped before nodding her head to the tombstone. "Ugh, uh, bye." Shiki then moved to talking about their current working arrangements. More specifically, how they felt about working with each other. Carmen knew that this implicitly meant that she was going to have be doing more of this work; fighting ghosts, djinn's, demons, spirits, etc. That alone was more terrifying to her then having to work again with Brian. The man himself was also someone that Carmen wasn't exactly eager to see more of, though. He had been both rude and pushy and had even taken her flashlight from her by force at some point. Not to mention that Carmen wasn't sure why Shiki couldn't just leave everything to him by himself, after all Shiki themselves seemed to be doing as just one person. The girl did figure, however, that if she were still doing this task it would be considerably better to be with someone else then by herself, no matter who really. And Brian had also driven her and gotten Taco Bell for her as well. While he did speak up first, the girl shrinking away and letting out something of a pathetic groan at the memory that she was now and forever to live with the shame of being a pervert, she said, "uhhh....I would rather work with um, someone, then well uh, no one," the girl agreed. The girl again, nodded very swiftly, almost in a panic as Shiki brought up their food. "Y-yeah! We - we uh, didn't take any, uh, any of your food or anything."
  16. With the decision finalized, the trio made their way to a nearby cafe Fen was as well curious about the concept of shops on the lower level of the city. She hadn't really explored the city a whole lot up to this point and she hadn't even made it a point to check a map of the whole thing to get her bearings. As such she wasn't exactly sure if the "lower level" was actually something closer to an expression, similar to "downtown," or not. But if it wasn't then Fen did wonder just how deep this city went. Walking into the cafe, Fen found it to be a fairly quaint place. Small, cozy and not much going on in terms of patrons or the actual activities of the cafe as a whole. The one worker, the one large vine person, surely was curious but such sights were already not particularly out of place for her and the longer she stayed in this city the more common place such sight would be for her in general. With the group making their way over to a nearby table to get a seat first, the Fen nodded along with Melissa's suggestion. She was a bit afraid of getting her new cards messy though it was true that they were first time customers here and there wasn't many people here to begin with. So, doing what they were about to do, which was likely to be loud at that, without first ordering something was likely to draw the ire of the staff, which Fen had always wanted to stay clear of. Looking at the menu, there were many items that seemed new to her, some with names that seemed a tad unique to her, in addition to the sizes of the drinks themselves being something unique. All the same the girl had ordered her drink, some kind of smoothie that was a mixture of all kinds of fruits that was much a bigger size than what Melissa had gotten - not like Fen seemed to mind the size after the initial shock of it -, before sitting down with the others. Taking a sip here and there of her drink, once Melissa had come back the girl smiled and looked to Fiona, nodding saying, "oh, I am too." After a brief moment of pause Fen said, "well if it's uh, no problem then I'll take the first turn?" Placing her deck down and drawing her hand, then after a brief moment of standby she said, "I suppose...hm...let's see." The girl thought about it for a moment before saying, "I'll summon Inmato in Attack Mode. And then set one card face down. And uh, I think I'll go to the End Phase then. So, your turn Fiona."
  17. With three arms and three bodies to occupy those Sibyl had made her way with the rest of the group to the meeting in Goodale. As they did, Sibyl encountered a problem almost immediately as they had made their way inside; the park's nullification field. Suddenly the three bodies in three arms had shifted to two heavier bodies in only two arms. "Oh, right." The girl was surprised, forgetting about this fact until it had happened, her face scrunching up a bit in annoyance as she did. On the one hand, she always thought the idea of an area inherently being a power nullifier was super rad and was always a bit curious about just what it was too. She also didn't really mind her powers being shut off as much as someone else did either. Her shadow arms helped her out with fighting and painting but, she was perfectly capable of doing both without them so it was only a matter of convenience to her. However, she had currently been benefitting from that convenience and to have it taken away from her so suddenly certainly didn't do good for her mood. So she just let one of the bodies lay on the ground until she was greeted by her gang's leader, her mood brightening up saying, "hey Lach! It sure does." She agreed with the Fates's assessment of this place sucking. Once another person came over, some Vic, and their exchange took place Sibyl got ready to leave when she was directed to do so. Walking out of the field, juggling the three bodies around a bit before she was able to fully use her powers again, she walked over to where the second of the Fates was. Dragging the three of them, she smiled and said, "hey there Tropo!" She then saw the other villain that she was told would be around here, Minos. Outside of being a part of the Zodiac and being something of powerhouse herself Sibyl really didn't know much about her, but that also meant she had no problem with her. And so, equally friendly she said, "oh and a friend too!" The girl shot the bovine woman a smile as well, before looking back to Atropos saying, "look, I brought presents." She tossed the three to the ground. Atropos returned Sibyl's greeting with a wave. She didn't seem surprised that Sibyl had dropped such presents into her lap, regarding them more with a "Oh, of course she managed all them" face than anything else. Minos and the crowd they had been keeping at bay, however, reacted strongly. Minos gave a comically large, though still genuine, gasp in shock, while the reporters surrounding the park immediately started snapping pictures. "Privacy!" Atropos said. Minos wheeled back around to face the crowd. She knelt down, plunged her hands into the street, and heaved upwards, pulling up a wall they could all work behind. The clamor of all the press was muted, though not by much. "I hate working with asphalt," she said. "I can do it, but it doesn't feel right. I still can't believe you got Hellhound, though! This soon into an S-Class event, this'll surely make everything go quicker." Giving a whistle at the wall Sbiyl said, "that's pretty nice." Then after Minos spoke she said, "oh? Oh, yeah I guess they are pretty important." Giving a bit of a laugh she said, "well, not like they were much of a fighter. Their dog was super cool though I don't know if you've ever seen that thing in action, but damn." Censer's smoke thing was also pretty neat, but until it shape shifted into a teleporting dog she found it much less interesting. With that done, Sibyl figured she'd see if there was any reason for her to stay around more and asked, "so, what's going down here today?" Minos nodded along, "Right, right. That's their 'thing.' I dunno, I heard they tried to supplement that stuff with little gadgets 'cuz Caesar's got a bunch of tinkers working under him, but I guess it doesn't matter so much when you get punched in the mouth like anyone else. We're just, you know, keeping people who aren't supposed to be here out, like, sixes, the public, anyone Caesar might have stuck some of Legion on trying to spy too. Honestly, as long as they don't get past the security line they're free to look at whatever, but- Hey!" One of the press with a stretching power had extended a camera over the wall and Minos leaped up to swipe it out of their hands. She missed, but the camera retreated back over the wall. "She literally just said 'Privacy!' What part of that don't you understand?" She paused. "Wait, did you call her 'Tropo?'" "She's allowed," Atropos said. "You're not." Atropos had been kneeling next to the three still-unconscious bodies, trying to sus them out. She pointed at Censer. "She'll have to get inside the part as soon as she wakes up, don't want random smoke coming out doing who knows what while we're talking to her." About Vambrace, she said, "He just need to get the wrist things off, right? And Hellhound, well, like you said, we just need to worry about their dog, probably." She looked back up. "Wait, where is Damian?" Sibyl looked around before shrugging, "dunno. The little scamp was following us around before we got here, but I haven't seen them around. Maybe it's a dog afraid of a park?" The girl joked. Atropos laughed. "I guess that makes sense. Something to keep a lookout for, though. Masters interact weirdly with Goodale, like, if the dog's already transformed, I dunno if he'll stop being transformed or if the power's only in the transformation itself... And Hellhound's the one we definitely want out here, since you're gonna want your powers for this." She looked at Minos. "Go take these two in the park. I dunno, find a Tinker to get his gadgets off? Find Clotho if you have to." Minos pouted. "Aw, I don't get to help out with interrogating? Aren't we all on the same side right now?" "All our teams are on the same side," Atropos said. "But my team's the one who got Hellhoud. And Ophie let me be in charge of security too. Actually, since I'm in charge, put up a few more walls so nobody can even look in from out there." A bigger pout. "I'm telling Ophiuchus you call him that." But she did as she was told, putting up three more walls and kicking through one to create an archway she could walk through. There was still light coming down through the lack-of-ceiling, but the soundscape around them was almost deadened. "I've called him that to his face," Atropos said when Minos was finally gone. "Alright, anyway. I'm gonna keep doing my job out there, especially now that I know at least one of them's gonna try and peek over -- maybe I can pick it off with a knife or something. Your job, then, for me, is to get something out of Hellhound we can use at this meeting. Yeah, we could just say 'We got Hellhound,' but I want that extra oomph, you know? "Don't beat them up again," Atropos said. "They'll just make things up if you try and torture something out of them. But also," a wicked smile crossed her face, "they don't have to know I said that, either." "Roger that ," the girl smiled a bit as Atropos left her to it. She agreed but Sibyl wasn't ever one much for interrogations and she didn't even really prefer torturing someone as a form of interrogation either. She similarly didn't actually care about any kind of prime info that would be used for some kind of negotiation, whatever it was they were even negotiating here to begin with. But, she did still find the villain interesting and was interested in some stuff herself, and so as Hellhound began to stir themselves awake the girl gave them a smile, friendly as any other. "Gooood morning."
  18. With the group getting ready to go, it seemed that the only thing left to do was to explore the backroom if they wanted to see what kind of treasure was in this tomb. Ryia wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea to begin with, this was a sacred place for the elves after all and they would just kind of be stealing from it. Not to mention she didn't enjoy her chances with having to escape from the ghosts when they went on the offensive. Keres as well seemed to be on the fence about what to do, seeing her look each direction. Ryia was even more worried about Keres's chances to escape then her own, and figured that it was best left to Lindow, who was the most mobile of them, and probably Reinaan who wasn't hindered by armor like she was. As such, Ryia looked to Keres saying, "well uh, we should probably tell Madelyn about this first." And so, the girl left the room and walked outside before meeting up with Madelyn. "So uh, we're about to leave soon, the others are uh, just getting some stuff. I think. And uh well, so..." the girl trailed off, knowing that the light mage didn't have the fondest impressions of the elves before attempting to explain the situation. "So uh, we don't have a guide through the forest right now since Damien is uh, well, missing. So well uh, Cym and Pan - the elves, that is - they're going to come with us. To uh, help. And I guess well, we can help them too. Uh, yeah."
  19. With the mission being done, Carmen was ready to pack it in for the night knowing that there was no ghost that would follow her home and try to kill her in her own bathroom. This was, however, a plan that didn't end up baring any fruit as the two were called by their employer to go meet up in a cemetery. The girl slumped her shoulders and let out a groan not unlike what one would expect from the living dead, as she followed after Brian as they made their way across the street. As the two finally encountered Shiki in the graveyard, their employer was sitting near a gravestone before asking them about their encounter. The girl, who was now equipped with the knowledge that it was in fact a ghost, really had no idea what to say. At first, she had simply been hiding behind Brian due to him being the one of the two that she feared less, however as he seemed to be rather upset by the question the girl shifted away from him and instead looked to hide behind a tombstone, all of which were too small for her and the thought of actually crouching and hiding in a cemetery filled her with a different kind of dread. As such, she nodded along with a lot of what Brian was saying before adding herself, "they um, they- they were very scary. Spooky. Long hair and made a lot of scary and creepy noises. Like uh," the girl took a breath, getting ready to try and imitate the howl and sob that she had heard only to realize that there were in fact two other people here and immediately clammed up, stopping entirely in her own tracks. "Ugh...well, it was, uh, really loud." Quite like Brian, she similarly didn't know what to make of the ghost. She had been mostly just focused on not dying and keeping her wits about her to really notice anything meaningful, and only stammered out as much as she did as she felt Shiki was wanting something more than just, 'was scary.' As such, she continued to, conflicted, cower behind a tombstone.
  20. With the match having ended, the girl looked over to see that Anneliese had also won her match though didn't have any idea where Anima was. Victory celebration was cut short, into one of a little frustration as Chad declared himself the victor in his own match. Perhaps though, it was less an annoyance at his own self assurance and her comrades defeat and more so that the man acted like it would only be natural for her and Anneliese to lose. "They lost because our team is amazing! Sure you won one, but we got two which makes us the better champions to be! And Anima will get her revenge for sure, so just you wait bucko." The girl then turned her attention towards her opponent, startled for a moment as the girl was closer then when she had last looked. As Fuyumi asked about what she had done, Jacklyn said, "what? Bucko isn't a code word it's like, what you call someone or like, bud? But less friendly?" That was clearly not what Fuyumi was asking for, however, as she didn't seem satisfied by that answer nor did it make any sense as a "prior strategy" or something that she had actually "done." Truthfully Jacklyn hadn't the faintest idea what the girl was asking for, but she had enough sense to know that it probably had to with their battle and more importantly her victory. And so proudly Jacklyn said, "oh that? Rus and I don't need any tricks or planning like that. We're fellow adventurers and teammates after all! And when we work together there's no battle we can't win, right Rus!?" The girl seemed proud with her answer, happily puffing out her chest, as the Lepash didn't bother responding to her. Instead, almost completely blowing her off. After all their victory, he felt, was entirely because of his own decision making and prowess. And so he walked off, leaving the girl to look back and say, "uh, Rus? He's just...shy?" The girl tried to save face with Fuyumi.
  21. The Abra moved once again, going for yet another back attack as Jacklyn shouted, "Rus behind you!" The Lepash turned around to see the psychic pokemon send a pulse of energy at it, and as Jacklyn shouted, "attack it!" the Lepash responded with yet another Ember. While the fire had won the clash again, the Abra swiftly teleported away once more and evaded the attack. The girl grit her teeth, clearly frustrated by it constantly vanishing and reappearing. "Oh come on! Can't you just stay still! Rus, come on, Ember again!" "Why?" The girl asked flatly, before tilting her head and having the Abra use yet another Hidden Power. "So we can duke it out properly! But fine, if you're gonna keep dodging then so can we! Rus, use those bunny legs of yours and hop!" The Lepash let out a grunt at his trainers command, springing off the ground with great force and hopping over the attack. While Jacklyn was something of a simple minded girl, she knew enough to know that just playing this game of cat and mouse would keep resulting in the two of them going around like this forever. And so, she shouted, "Rus, get ready!" The Lepash started to have fire gather in its mouth only for the Abra to teleport once more. Pointing to its new position, Jacklyn shouted, "And fire!" Letting loose the flame that it had been gathering in its mouth striking the Abra again. Though the two pokemon had been hitting each other with move after move neither seemed to be taking much from each individual hit, yet still in spite of that the two of them were starting to show some wear from the fight. Rus had already been a little fatigued from the two hidden powers it had taken and it seemed that Abra was starting to show similar levels of injury. Yet all Fuyumi had to say was, "I see. So this is everything it has. Hidden Power." Feeling as if she was being mocked somehow, Jacklyn shouted, "yeah and it's more than enough!" Thinking that perhaps attacking point blank would deal more damage and make it harder for the pokemon to avoid the attack, and feeling like she had something to prove to her opponent now, Jacklyn shouted, "Rus, charge and bring it down!" Of course, Rus didn't know the move Charge, he was a fire bunny not an electric one after all. So instead he took the command more standardly, running head first at the Abra. Proving that he could do it before, without instruction, this time Rus decided to prove himself equal in dodging to the Abra by leaping over the Hidden Power once more. "Hm. No time. Hidden Power." Rather than teleporting, the Abra stayed still, firing yet another attack at Rus. The Lepash as well had no time here, being unable to dodge the attack. Despite getting struck dead on, though, Rus had no plans on stopping. Its fur flashing red briefly, the Lepash leaped forward, throwing its body into a Tackle and striking the Abra dead on. Jacklyn, surprised by the lack of fire in its attack blinked for a moment, but when Abra seemed to no longer be moving the girls confusion turned to a wide smile. "Heck yeah! Way to go Rus!" The girl ran over to give her pokemon a high five but as she brought her hand up to swing she then stopped, a bit confused as to how to actually go about doing a high five with her pokemon. Rus didn't seem to care in the slightest, but did let out a small puff of smoke in pride at its victory. Quickly recovering from her lack of actually high fiving, she excitedly pointed at Fuyumi saying, "see that! That's the next Korovan champ to be in action!"
  22. Being in the center of it all, Lana was able to see that just about everyone was in danger. With two undead on Chris, one on Ziun and one slowly advancing towards Estelle the girl had to make her decision quickly about what to do. She briefly lost track of Chris in the fighting his two opponents in the fog but he seemed to have it more or less covered. Meanwhile, Ziun had already taken a swipe from the skeleton into his arm, and it looked ready to go again. Lana felt bad about leaving Estelle by herself, but seeing the skeleton already ready to go for another hit on the bard the girl took off towards him first. Bringing up her axe, running closer to the mausoleum, yelling, "watch out!" as she struck the skeleton's skull, trying to fell it in one blow. The axe cleaved off about half of the undead's head and it seemed to notice this as well, the skeleton pausing it's wind up. The girl eyed it curiously, seeing that it hadn't fallen to the ground yet, before noticing its body seeming to continue its movement. "That's not fair!" The girl remembered last time she went to attack a skeleton mid-swing she had still taken damage in the clash, and this time she was dealing with helping another person, not just herself. Trying to quickly think of how to intercept the attack, her mind went back to her lesson with Joan, the woman teaching her a different way to use her axe in such a situation. She didn't need to kill it she just needed to deflect it. To push it. Shifting her grip on her axe upward, giving her more control of the weapon, the girl pointed the top of the axe towards the skeleton's arm. Shoving the weapon forward as the sword came down, the girl struck and shoved the arm, knocking it to the side and keeping it from cleaving through the boy's neck. Feeling yet another sense of pride from having a lesson go correctly, the girl shifted her grip back before swinging it hard at the skeleton's spine. She, however, completely misjudged the amount of force needed to kill the skeleton and similarly misjudged what it was like actually fighting this close to another ally. Her blade managed to just barely not hit the structure next to her, as well as cleave through the skeleton's spine rather effortlessly. However, her blade kept going in its horizontal arc. Pushing back on both of her arms and legs the girl fought the moment of the swing, her axe stopping inches from the bard's torso. Letting out a sigh of relief she said, "that was close." She couldn't help but feel some sense of deja vu from this, but didn't pay much mind to it. With the threat dispatched the girl looked to Ziun and said, "alright I got here. Estelle's back there though so make sure she's fine. And keep a lookout, there's some weird thing that keeps popping up that way," the girl pointed in the direction she came from.
  23. Fen simply smiled at Fiona as the girl still seemed ready to go for another round of cards. Musing aloud at one of her comments, Fen said, "oh they change size? The magic used in this game is really something." The girl looked over to Melissa as she started stating her preferences as to what to do next, simply nodding along and having no issue with changing venues from the park to a cafe. The two of them had been out for awhile and having something to eat and being able to sit down while playing the card game sounded fun in its own quaint way. Though given the strange illusions that did appear she couldn't help but wonder if they would be disrupting everyone at the place they went to, but Fiona seemed to think it was fine so Fen was inclined to not worry too much about it. Melissa then went on to talk about some kind of bet, loser buys lunch and all. As she started to stammer after making the suggestion, however, Fen was taken a bit off guard by the girl. "Eh? Well, I uh, I mean I don't think being the leader has anything to do with it? Does it?" After a moment of thinking this over, the girl then cleared her throat saying to Fiona, "well, um, I'm not usually the most competitive type but that sounds fun, yeah. I'm still not entirely sure how to budget myself here in this world though so, well, maybe just drinks?" Looking back to Melissa the girl said, "oh uh, not to mean that I plan on losing or that you'll lose or anything, just, well you know?"
