  1. Jacklyn was glad to actually have like minded companions on this journey. Both of them already seemed to know about the necessities of going on an adventure, though Jacklyn couldn't help but feel something was off about the way Anneliese spoke but paid it no mind. As the girl went to grab her hand, Jacklyn was caught off guard in a similar manner to Anima was, having this be something of an unfamiliar experience as the girl pulled the two of them along. After a moment, the girl pulled her hand back and cleared her throat before saying, "this way then!" Following after the Shinx, almost as if in competition to keep pace with, and maybe overtake it, as they lead the way. Jacklyn's eyes went wide with excitement when they had entered the market place. Having grown up in a big city such a thing wasn't exactly new to her, but being in an entirely new region and seeing these same kind of sights made it feel all the more new and exotic to her. "Hey guys, look what I got!" Jacklyn walked over to her two companions, as Anima was explaining what their course of action and purchasing should be like. As it had turned out, Jacklyn had split off from the other two almost immediately upon entering it and had come back with three apples in hand. "Here you go guys," she passed one off to each of them before saying, "I found a fruit stand and like, sure we've all eaten fruit before but have you ever had a Korovan apple before? I sure haven't! So, I thought we gotta try it to really mark it that we're in a new place. So, to the start of our journey!" The girl raised the apple into the air as if making a cheer before biting into it. "It tastes like adventure! And a little tart." After a moment passed she then said, "oh look what else I got." Reaching into her pocket the girl pulled out a small notebook and opened it to reveal a stamp marking that had a picture of a boat with the town's name under it. "See, got something to commemorate all the tourist places we've been so far! Gotta keep records after all." "Anyway, you were saying something about other shops right? Well, I think our best bet is over there." The girl pointed towards the big department store. "But I'm sure we got all the time in the world, and all the money. After all, my sister told me all about how lucrative adventuring is. So we're set! Well, eventually, but we'll strike it big on the road for sure!" Looking over Anneliese's shoulder she said, "oh, were you looking at plates?" Tapping the top of her apple against her chin she said, "those are pretty fancy looking plates. But plates aren't really great for backpacking all over the place. I remember one time I tried helping my mom out and well, uh - well they break easily. If you wanna get a souvenir you gotta make sure it's something that you can look at or use whenever. Like, a necklace or bracelet or like a favorite spoon that you'll use while we're out in the wilds with nothing but a campfire and logs to sit on while eating out of our freshly boiled cup noodle cups! That kinda stuff, so let's keep looking!"
  2. Ryia couldn't help but feel that Sparky was actually a little cute as it "purred" towards her, though always realized how dangerous it was as it accidentally spewed out fire. Though the elves were very curt with them, Ryia could at least understand why they would be very reluctant to tell them what it was they were supposed to find. After all it took, what she assumed at least, relatively little time at all for the egg to hatch after being released from the museum and even she knew that dragon's were powerful beasts of legends. So entrusting the fate of a dragon egg to the hands of strangers would certainly be a cause for worry. If anything it's a wonder they told them anything about it at all, though she supposed the situation, alongside the other parts involved in it, was just that desperate. Madelyn had seemed to be done with what was going on here, Ryia herself still barely being able to grasp the scope of what was going on here, and Reinaan meanwhile seemed to be speaking about the majesty of the dragon race in general. The Earth Chosen could only sit in silence at the impassioned speech of the boy as well, trying to think of what to do about this whole mess that they were now in. Once again, she didn't really think that these people were bad people and the boy also didn't seem like he was here against his will. Then there was the matter of the dragon as well. She hadn't the first idea of how to approach the problem. Anywhere it went it was likely going to cause a very large amount of problems for anybody who was nearby, the girl shuddering at the thought of the giant creature just nesting around any of the settlements they had been around already and accidentally torching them by sneezing. Of course, it was a living creature and also hadn't actually done anything wrong in its short life, so she hardly felt good about just giving it over to the elves and letting them kill it. And having to get to the point where they'd even have the dragon to bring to the elves would likely involve doing a lot she really didn't want to think about. Sighing the girl said, "um, well, see, we uh, don't actually really want to get into the city. Well, uh, I guess we do? We, we really just want to know where to find the Demon Gate. To uh, well, destroy it. And well, uh, they probably know where it is?" Looking at the pair and the dragon again she said, "well, we're not really going to get there that way now anyway, so uh...I guess since we're here...what exactly are you two uh, doing and I uh, I guess," the girl looked to Reinaan, and then to Sparky, and then back to the elves saying, "and uh, do you need any help?"
  3. Lana grit her teeth as she was stabbed in the arm, a task her minor paralysis made all the easier, as she let out a cry of pain through said teeth. The cultist didn't seem to think this was enough though, likely not thinking that Lana was dead and not going to stop until she was, as it pulled back its dagger and started casting a spell. Looking to both stab and grasp her again, the girl didn't really know what to do. Her body was still feeling rigid and she was hardly able to skillfully dodge both attacks at once, but she had to do something or else things would get much worse for her. As she looked to both hands, her eyes darted to behind the cultist to see another figure rushing towards it. She didn't have time to think about what that other person was doing or even who it was and instead decided to go on the offensive herself. Turning her body, her already outstretched axe was swung towards the waist of the cultist, the haft striking into its side and causing a few audible cracks to be heard. At the same time, the person rushing in had stabbed the cultist's side and caused its dagger to falter and fall from its hand. The magic was still going towards her, and Lana had decided that there was only one way to avoid it. Shifting her body weight the girl fell backwards, going towards the ground. As she did, the axe head that was now behind the cultist came down with her, piercing the cultists back and hooking into it dragging the cultist down with her. With a resounding thud the two of them landed, the girl letting out an, "ow." Once more through gritted teeth and strained voice Lana looked up to see Chris and said, "thanks." Estelle primed her bow and fired an arrow of light to head shot the big ol' bloodhulk.
  4. Alois was still particularly annoyed at the cacophony of birds that was around. He was never really a bird kind of person. He was never really any kind of animal person for that matter, and his hometown was hardly helping that. Add to that, the deluge of birds had taken him by surprise so he had briefly stopped paying attention to what could be wrong here. After all, he followed pretty quickly after the maid so she would have to be here, and he didn't realize that the door to this room was still closed fast enough to come to the conclusion that she still had to be here, even if he couldn't see her. As a result he was taken by surprise, again, by the sudden amount of force that was being thrown at him and knocking him to the ground. Hearing the maid above him, Alois couldn't help but let out a, "what?" He had heard of counting sheep but never chasing after them, so he wasn't sure if she was going to but him to sleep, kill him or turn him into some kind of ranch hand. Letting out a sigh, the boy had realized that the position he was in currently and definitely sucked. So he would have to remedy that. After a moment's pause the boy asked, "hey. Are you a bird kind of person?" Before the woman could answer Alois threw his head back, smashing his into hers and allowing him to push himself back up onto his hands and legs. Turning a bit the boy kicked at where he presumed her legs were only to find that she was nowhere to be found. Worried that she might've gone for another diving strike on him, the boy quickly scrambled to a standing upright position and tried to look out for the maid. As his eyes scanned the room, still filled with birds, his searching was cut short as the arm of the woman wrapped around his neck in a chokehold. Taken off guard yet again, Alois's body flailed a bit in panic at the sudden loss of air. As he was able to recognize what was happening, though, his frantic movements turned into more deliberate ones. Having the air choked out of him the boy couldn't make a witty retort, though his mind seemed to think it was a priority to think of one even in this situation, and so instead he just grabbed at her arm. Yanking with all of his strength, he wrenched the woman's arm off of his neck and tossed it down, trying to turn to face the woman while doing so. "Huh... You're stronger than you look." "Yeah and you're a whole lot less hospitable then you look." Tsetseg held onto Cora as the two of them galloped down town. As Cora explained what was likely going on, Tsetseg kept her own eyes and ears more aware, being still on the lookout for any sort of crime that might be being committed. As they continued to race down the streets, something came into view of Tsetseg's eyes. She wasn't able to make out who it was, since they were currently a bit too far away, but they could see someone on horseback. Pointing further down the road the girl exclaimed, "there! Bad guy that way! Way way down that way!" While Cora herself wasn't able to see the figure yet, it would be clear that based on the direction and distance they were traveling that they, and the figure, were heading towards the back gate of the town. After saying that, Tsetseg's ears perked up as she heard something else. A set of hoofbeats. Of course, they were on a horse already so hearing that was natural, and they were chasing after another horse so hearing a second set wasn't out of the ordinary either. But she was positive there was third, and that they were coming from a different direction entirely. "Oh! Oh! Oh! Other horse that way!" The girl pointed towards the intersection that she was sure they were about to meet up with this third horse, so as to warn Cora to not crash into it.
  5. Sibyl raised an eyebrow at the comment about her mural last week. She only vaguely remembered the name "Babs" to begin with, associating it with the faceless woman who made the building she had assaulted a fun house, and wasn't even sure why they were panicking about it. Her own confusion and the first move being made by the villains distracted her entirely from her phone buzzing rapidly buzzing in her pocket. All the same, she whistled as one of the villains took to the sky and pushed her back towards two - three - other coming enemies. Her expression shifted to a smile as she said, "so you're the first takers, gotcha!" Funneling shadow into her arm, the clawed arm became larger and wider before the girl then took a swing with it, extending it out and sending her enlarged palm to swat at both Hellhound and their dog-cat thing. Hellhound themselves jumped over the large shadow palm, while the dog seemed to be completely unfazed. It wasn't as though it took the hit like a champ, no it was closer to as if the attack had never even hit them in the first place. Her hand seemed to just pass through the creature, causing the girl's eyes to widen with a wild look. "Ooooh, that's a neat trick." Her mind seemed split in two, one that wanted to see if the hound's trick was just a one off and the other wanting to strike at Hellhound themselves. Thankfully, Sibyl was gifted with the ability to satisfy both of her instincts at once. As she back swung her palm towards the hound again, a second smaller arm grew out form her shoulder and stretched towards Hellhound. Her second swing passed through the hound just as it had before. The second strike, however, was slowed by the sudden smoke being sent at it from Censer and then grabbed by something else; the tendrils of the hound. Looking at it, she realized what she had been swatting before was nothing more than an illusion. The real hound had been now grabbing onto her second arm, dragging it down. Her grin widening she said, "well, two can play at that game!" The arm that was being dragged suddenly grew a lot more limb, and the fingers of the hand seemed to suddenly merge back into the shadow arm. Then, it started to elongate and attempted to wrap around the tendrils of the hound, turning into a tendril itself, before attempting to whip the arm to the side to similarly whip the hound.
  6. Chester was glad to see that, through concerted group effort, that his idea had in fact been on the right track. With Z. joining the group to help finish off Jirachi it had awoken with one final strike. Perhaps "finish off" was an inaccurate term to use here, and particularly brutal for what the intended effect was supposed to be, but they had at least achieved the goal that they set out to do and had beaten Jirachi's subconscious into submission making them now conscious. Chester thought about the idea of it in his head yet again and couldn't help but find it strange though he didn't dwell on it any longer. Instead he just said, "good job everyone," before turning his attention to Jirachi. Before their conversation had continued at all, though, Z. and Es had gotten into short spat. The moderator could feel a headache forming as he could see where this was going, only now realizing how temperamental the pair of Es and Z. were. As the two hurled some rather aggressive and nasty things, Chester felt the urge to step in and mediate, though Es had already ejected herself from the conversation so it wasn't something he could actually do anything about. Well, he wasn't sure what he would do either. He didn't like the idea of someone forcing an argument to a close by saying their own point and then leaving before the opposing side had a chance to respond, but his experience in moderation had told him that when things were like this they would either just end up turning on him and then going back to fighting each other, or just instantly make things worse. But at the same time, it would be bad for the both of them and the group as a whole to have this just hanging above their heads if it wasn't resolved now. Without much to do, Chester could only wait and see how it would play out between the two in their next exchange, but he couldn't help but mentally groan about it. "Hey my name's pronounced Z.. I'd like it if you could say it like that instead of Zed." "Oh sure, I'm sorry pal." That was all it took. From both of them. Turning his thoughts away from moderation and instead towards the Mythical Pokemon that had in fact been the voice that had been speaking to them in the cavern, Chester thought about their current mission now. They were brought from wherever their home originally was to this world, a world of pokemon no less. All because of Jirachi's wish, which was to do something about some big trouble in the world. Chester always saw himself as more of a solver of trouble on a more personal scale; resolve an argument here, help someone being bullied there, do chores that others were reluctant to take on, and help lead when there was leading to be done. He had never tried to solve large scale issues like global climate change, or corruption in politics or declining economic conditions. As such, saving the world was a task much larger than what he was used to. But, if such a task was entrusted to him, and was only able to be done by him of course the Chespin would do what he could in his power to solve it. "In a similar vein," Chester spoke up after Hector, "where even is here? I understand we're in a Pokemon World now but uh, where?"
  7. "Goodbye home, and hello to a new region!" The girl stood at the stern of the ship, foot on the railing holding onto her hat so as to not have it blown off by a sea breeze for the fourth time during this journey. "Now I know what you're wondering, Rus, why look back now when the beginning is right in front of us?" The Lepash, that had been standing a healthy distance from the railing, had no such thoughts and seemed to be tired of the constant speeches she had similarly been dolling out for the past two weeks. "It's obvious, right? Since from here on out we'll only be facing forward! This is the last time to have fond reminiscence of what brought us here before starting our adventure! See she's got the right idea of it," Jacklyn pointed to a blue haired girl who had been keeled over the railing of the ship, and without being able to actually see her expression Jacklyn took it to mean that she was having a great time experiencing all the marvels of large boat travel. Jacklyn then looked out onto the horizon for approximately five seconds before she had said, "well that's enough of that. Come on Rus!" Rus had nothing to reminisce about. If anything it was actually returning home rather than going anywhere new and unexplored. Of course this was entirely missed by her trainer as she ran ahead. Rus started to chase after her, only to stop for a moment as a man passed him, holding a pokemon he could've sworn was familiar before remembering that his trainer was moving to the front of the ship. One to make a competition of everything and a sore loser, the Lepash broke into a sprint keeping up with its trainer until they got to the bridge connecting the ship to the land. With all the people crowding up to get off the boat, Jacklyn picked up Rus saying, "don't want you to get lost. And here you go Rus, look! A new town! A new region!" To her. "Ooooh man, I can't wait!" The Lepash was growing less comfortable with this, already disliking the idea of being carried around, as Jacklyn's excitement started to cause her to wave her arms around with the fire type still in them. Once off the boat, the girl made an emphatic jump onto the first land of the port saying, "wooooohoooo! We're here! It's really real!" Giddily chuckling to herself, as the fire type squirmed in her hands the girl said, "oh right. Here you should do this too. Hup!" The girl lowered her arms and let go of the Lepash, who let out an annoyed grunt, and seemed thankful that experience was over with. After a moment, the girl spotted her other teammates saying, "oh, look, there they are! Let's go Rus." The Lepash turned its head to the side and scoffed for a moment, eliciting a frown from the girl before she remembered, "right, you don't get along with that Shinx very well, huh? Oh, well...That won't do! We've all gotta be pals since we're adventuring together, I think. But I'll let you sit out so you don't get lost in town and you two can have a chat about uh...pokemon things, later." The Lepash rolled its eyes before being called back to its pokeball. Running to meet up with the others, she waved enthusiastically saying, "heeeey guys!" Once with them, she heard Anima's suggestion and smiled, pointing emphatically at her. "I like the way you think! We're going to be out there. In the wilderness braving the uh, wild! No beds, or houses or running water. Just us and the desert sand! Or dirt or something. So we'll need supplies. Plus who knows what kind of souvenirs and knick knacks you can find here? Now, if I were a good place to shop where would I be." Jacklyn had no idea where to start. In fact, now that she was up close she was starting to realize just how small all the buildings here were compared to her home and how different, even still just being a port city, it all felt. Her excitement began to burst forth again as she just said, "ah whatever, let's just go look around and see if we can find anything."
  8. With both armors having crumbled and returned to their original state as water the puddles that they had left behind suddenly started to move again. This time, rather than animating as living suits of armor trying to murder the Exalted, they coalesced into a small sphere. The water in front of the currently living trio then seemed to spark with electricity coursing over it, where as the puddle from behind them that was once the axe armor had turned into a vibrating sphere of water. The two spheres floated up and moved towards the Exalted. They would instinctually know that these orbs possessed no actual ill will towards them, though if they tried to escape from it the orbs would relentlessly hunt them anyway. The one with electricity flowed moved towards Abby while the humming moved towards Sabrina, being the two closest, and floated into their Dragon Sign. A large sound, as if from a rock being dropped into a still pond, would resound within all of the Exalted's ears. And then their vision went dark for a moment. They were in a blank void. Black as far as the eye could see. There was no light. No sound. No them. There was Nothing. Nothing was all around them. They couldn't feel anything but they could feel Nothing encroaching around them, rejecting their very existence as if insulted by it. Threatening to scrape away any and all trace that they ever were. "And from that blank void was he born." An alien voice rang out. They could make out no details from it. Not gender, age, language. It was something they couldn't even be certain that they were being spoken to but they understood the meaning that was being transmitted. "The First. In a Sea of Nothing, with neither Earth nor Air, he erupted like a raging Wildfire." And then there had been light. A singular, small light. And then that light pulsed and their vision was filled with more lights. These tiny lights continued to litter the Nothing around them as the original one began to grow bigger, burn brighter and more intensely. Until finally, they could see what lie in the large, burning sphere. What had made its home within the Sun. Scaled swings stretched far and wide. A reptilian eye looking straight at the group, before its long neck brought its head back and let out a Primordial roar. This was a dragon. "Star." As their vision returned, now back in the room where they had fought the guardians they would feel their hands vibrate intensely and electricity crackle across it for a brief moment. Taking in their surroundings more, the water that had been flowing across the walls had dissipated and they were able to see the carvings etched on the side walls. That depicted the alien creatures lying underneath what could be seen as notably larger animal carvings, and humanoids with animal like features on them. And in the center of the room was a large stone statue, depicting a strange chimeric creature. A quadrupedal creature with a large, likely furred in its life, torso. Its back legs ended in hooves while its front ones ended in claws. Its neck was long and coated in what was likely a lion's mane. It had the head of a wolf, tusks growing out from under its jaw and whiskers on either end of its face. After a moment, River had appeared to greet the group again. "Congratulations every one. You fought very wonderfully and used masterful teamwork together. And with it you have passed the trial of Storm and have been bequeathed with his power." The girl smiled and gave a small, sincere clap for them. Then, after a moment she asked, "do you have any questions?" OOC
  9. Fen did her best to learn all of the rules of the game as Melissa explained them and read the rulebook. It didn't seem like it was an overly complicated game at first, with perhaps the primary barrier of entry being the knowledge of basic arithmetic (which Fen most certainly had experience with.) There were three basic card types between Monsters, Spells and Traps. Each turn you drew a card, you summoned a monster and you saw if your monster was had higher numbers then the opponent's. That was the basic gist of what she got and it seemed to be a simple enough game at first. But the more she looked into it the terminology there seemed to be, in regards to all of the different summon types, subtypes of all the three basic card types and the several phases that were in this game. She was pretty sure she had as good a handle on it as she could get, though, and so without further delay the two made their way to the meeting place. Once they were there they encountered a group of people who seemed to know who they were, though Fen hadn't the slightest idea who they or their boss was. Though she supposed it made sense, they did have a reporter come and interview them so they were probably well known in some regard. There was something off about the two of them as well; she couldn't help but feel like they were trying to be some kind of hostile or aggressive with them but she also couldn't feel any kind of threat from them either. As such, she assumed that this was just how they talked when they wanted to battle, a habit she wasn't unfamiliar with, and didn't feel on guard to start with. As Melissa walked over to her and helped her with her watch, the girl's expression became more surprised and concerned. "Eh? This uh, creates monsters? Hm, and here I thought this was just an ordinary card game. Even if they're just, well, copies of an original monster that's still amazing. Summoning magic in my world is - well, uh, let's just say you're world sounds like it's filled with a lot of talented mages." With her own "duel disk," as the watch had called it, conjured Fen seemed ready to begin. Looking to one of them, she said, "um, Seven? Was it? If you don't mind I'd like to be your opponent. Now uh, let's see. First we..." The girl pulled out her rule book and reviewed it for a moment, nodding to herself. Drawing five cards she then said, "so uh, to start the duel with I go into my draw phase. And draw a card." And so she did. "Then next is the Standby phase. So uh..." the girl paused, after a few moments saying, "I stood by. So uh, next is the main phase one which means I can normal summon. So..." The girl looked at her cards muttering, "only four stars and under so, I think..." Pulling a card from her hand she said, "I will uh, normal summon Interceptamato. Oh, in attack mode." A football helmet wearing tomato appeared, looking ready to fight before the girl smiled saying, "oooooh, these things truly are powerful magical devices. And what a cute looking tomato. Ah well, uh, let's see. It's the first turn so - ah, oh, sorry Seven. I think I just went a did the first turn myself because I was getting too far ahead of myself. But uh, yeah, I cannot go into the Battle Phase so I think next is the Main Phase 2 and then...End Phase. There we go." The girl smiled and nodded, having gone through her first turn before asking, "did I do that all right?"
  10. Carmen let out a "eep," surprised about Brian talking about her talking, and then pondered on what he had said. The girl could definitely relate to the idea of finding the school bathroom being the only safe place in school. Due to its inherently private nature one could sequester themselves in a stall and keep from the watchful and judging eyes of the public with no fear and there was always a locked boundary between you and everyone else. Similarly, if a janitor had made their way into what they thought was an empty room, Carmen could also understand feeling a sort of panic from the sudden intrusion into such a sacred place. She had never been a ghost before, but if taken those intrusive emotions to the extreme she would be able to see how it would result in such a thing. Of course this was all conjecture and Carmen was starting to feel weird empathizing with a ghost she knew next to nothing about, and wasn't sure how much she actually wanted to know about them. The girl shook her head as Brian brought up the idea of communicating with it, both because she could only imagine what kind of horrible sound could come from something without a face to begin with, and the idea of getting so close that she would be able to use some kind of board to communicate with it was certainly unsettling as well. After thinking about it some more, Carmen couldn't really think of anything else to do about it. She barely knew how this ghost sealing business was conducted to begin with and she didn't want to spend the rest of her night here. Spending more time in this school was only going to bring back more unpleasant memories and she didn't want to be haunted by school nightmares anymore then she already was. But she couldn't just leave in the middle of the job and she couldn't deal with constantly worrying about this ghost coming after her after she left. And she didn't like the idea of such a sacred place as the bathroom being the spot of frequent murders either. Weighing the pros and cons of both staying and leaving it was clear that one was greater than the other and so the girl looked to Brian with newfound resolve. "Then uh...I guess we'll just- we um, we can....let's d-double team it." Her newfound confidence seemed to crumble almost immediately as she started speaking though she still managed to get the words out in the end. The next part took more doing as she looked away from Brian not wanting to see his expression on the next part as she said, "and we can uh....go into the men's room." After all, Carmen didn't want to be on future missions with a pervert. "At least if I die there won't be a body to identify me with in there...heh...ughhh..."
  11. As the conversation went to what it was they had actually stolen Ryia could only help but go wide-eyed at the small scaly creature that had walked into the room. Ryia was at first not quite sure what to make of it. After all, she had traveled around with a lizard for some time now - Kloqah that is - so seeing such a small creature wasn't anything new to her. Though, the wings were certainly unique. In fact, she couldn't think of many creatures at all that were both lizards and winged. The only thing that came to mind were the tales of the great and powerful dragons but those were, well, great and powerful and typically huge. This was small. But they had stolen and egg and it had hatched. And that was what came out of it. But it was small. But it just hatched. It didn't seem powerful. But it could destroy the forest. The girl's thoughts were starting to spin out as she knew she needed to ask something to make sure that what she was thinking was certainly correct. Still baffled and unsure, the girl asked the room, "is uh...that's not a uh....it's...is that a small dragon?" "No, it's not," the girl said. She shook her head and then pointed at Ryia and declaring, "it's a baby dragon!" "U-uh...I...how do you - well, I guess I know why but uh," she paused for a bit, her head was racing with questions and the overall casual tone that this girl had did certainly nothing to alleviate them. Finally the only thing she could think to ask to progress forward was, "why did you have a dragon egg?" "Because I took it. It was locked up in the museum for a long long time. I always saw it and thought 'that's kinda sad its just sitting there unable to hatch' and when I was leaving I thought...might as well grab it while I was at it!" "We almost got caught because of it." the boy chimed in. "But we didn't!" The girl's attitude seemed to have relaxed once she began to talk about the dragon. They just took it. She just took it on a whim. From a museum. There was a sense of altruism, she supposed, in the motive but with how casual she talked about committing grand theft of something that powerful Ryia's head was almost visibly steaming from being overwhelmed. It wasn't as though she thought they were bad people either. In fact, that they seemed fine made this only more confusing and made Ryia even less unsure of how to handle this situation. She was in fact so confused, that she could only dumbly ask, "does it...have a name?" The boy let out a groan at this, but the girl looked excited. "Of course, I named him myself, he's Sparky!" The girl let out a nervous laugh, only to look at the dragon and say, "hi...Sparky."
  12. Chester was unsure if the people here were born with a compulsion to split away from whatever group they were in as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Such a thing, in his long tenure of dealing with people both on and offline surely should not have surprised him and to an extent it did not, yet it certainly continued to get on his nerves. Of course it's not like he told them to all stay together, though he was certain they would have split off immediately anyway, and his other plan to ask questions and keep hostilities in check certainly had hit a bit of a snag as well as the Mythic Pokemon had failed to keep its own hostility in check. Chester looked over to see a blast of psychic energy flying to Es and two things had stuck out to him. One, that the being had told them that it was prone to thrashing about in its sleep. And two, that he was starting to believe his initial suspicion about the pokemon to be correct upon hearing its voice. Before he could think of how to react to the situation, Hector leaped into the fray and attacked the Mythic pokemon, much to Marv's dismay. Chester himself was a bit confused by the action but also didn't think Hector would leap into a fight without a real plan and seeing as Es had no plans on retreating either it seemed like the two had resolved to fight Jirachi themselves. Chester was at a stand still at what to do; on the one hand everyone was already far enough and way and it said that only being in close proximity to it would put them in danger. On the other hand it was only in its sleep that it posed a danger and perhaps striking it enough would get it to wake up, thus negating the danger entirely. Well, presuming it wasn't mad at them when it woke up. The more Chester thought about it the more he also realized the issue with the first. "It threw the first punch, Marv, though I don't typically condone responding to violence with violence, but the pokemon in the dungeon showed that they understand no other language. But, I think we have to worry about it being mad at us. Actually I think we're in danger as long as we're on this island and it's asleep." Surely it was easy to define what was close to a normal person, but this was a being that could speak to them from virtually anywhere. To such a being with such an awareness the definition of "close" started to fall apart. "So the only way to keep us safe is to fight! Again! To arms!" Chester wasn't quite sure why he shouted that last part but he was certain it was something a person would say in this situation. And so following his own advice he readied his two arms. Chester couldn't tell what it was, perhaps his own typing at play here like what he attributed his fear of large gale storms to, but the grass certainly felt much easier to run across then the stone floor of the cavern. In fact, it was not only easier to move through but it was as if his body felt lighter and more responsive within the grass. Sprinting forward, Chester closed the gap between him and Jirachi bringing up his fist and striking the myth with it. As it did, Chester felt a surge of power flow through him, which he used to deliver a second punch against them. Feeling as though his two arms were growing stronger with each punch, Chester felt confident in his plan. Especially as, after the second, Jirachi seemed to look a little less asleep in its tossing and turning.
  13. Gene would find any worries he had unfounded and any thoughts he might've had about the situation to be unnecessary. The break in the armor that he had caused with his sword as well as the cracks on the hand the fire had cause start to spread further and further until the entire body began to crumble and return to its original form; water. There was no trace, neither armor nor weapon, that the foe they had been fighting had existed at all saved for the puddle of water it had turned into upon its defeat. Though Sabrina and Gene may very well have felt relief in that moment they would hear no victory fan fare as the fight still raged on. The spear armor was still very much alive and Abby was still being impaled by it. They would also be able to see Marshall face first lying on the ground. She wasn't moving so it was clear that something was wrong but she wasn't in a pool of blood or anything so it was difficult to tell if she was actually dead or just in a coma. What was easy to tell though was that the spear armor and Abby were still having a clash of sorts. The hole in its armor was only growing as Abby continued to push her hand into it and pieces of the armored body started to crack open at random as the electricity coursed through it. It didn't seem like it was hampered by the attack at all, though certainly it had taken damage from its own electricity hitting it, and quickly pulled the spear out of the girl, having half of it turn to water as it had done previously, before stepping back and going in for yet another lunge against the girl, seemingly oblivious to the defeat of its comrade on the other side of the room.
  14. As Lana warily approached the two cultists, she stopped immediately as they had cast their magic. The last spell that they had used, Lana figured, required them to actually touch her and being not next to them she figured from whatever magic they were trying to do. However, this changed when they had actually finished casting and summoned a pair of semi-see through hands. She guessed that if the hands needed to touch her then it only made sense to make magic hands to do so. Of course, this rational was buried underneath a set of emotions being grossed out by the severed body parts, frightful of what they were actually going to do and as well annoyed, shouting out, "oh come on that's cheating!" As was all magic at this point to her. Except Estelle's, of course. The girl readied herself for the hands coming towards her, figuring that even if they were spooky and magic they were still just hands. Putting her axe parallel to the ground the girl took a swing at the two hands, her axe powerlessly going through the spooky hands and leaving them untouched. "Ugh, cheaters." With her attack having done nothing and not wanting to be grabbed by the ghost hands, the girl quickly hopped to the side and away from them, only for the hands to continue their pursuit of her. Thinking there was no way that she could win like this, Lana took the lesser of two evils and threw caution to the wind once more as she charged the two cultists. Hefting her axe up the girl brought it down with as much force as she could muster, striking into the head of one of the cultists and causing them to drop instantly. This success was fairly short lived, however. Feeling the ghastly hand grab onto her Lana, firstly felt grossed out, felt an immediate surge of energy pulse through her. Or perhaps it could be described as the exact opposite of energy, as her body suddenly went rigid; her grip tightening on her axe, her limbs getting stiffer and also a bizarrely foul stench she could feel coming from her body. The girl's eyes were still moving responsively enough, so she was able to see the other cultist brandish its dagger towards her. While her body could not keep up with her brain it wasn't completely unresponsive. And so she went with her tried and true method of blocking. Shifting her body the girl moved her outstretched arm to take the dagger attack instead, wondering if perhaps it would be better to invest in heavier armor when she got out of this dungeon. Estelle, not being the subject of the Bloodhulk's ire presently figured that she would take the time to take precautions for if that ever change, casting a spell on her shoes to increase her own speed. Then, going to aid Ziun the girl once more conjured two rays of fire and shot them at the ankle of the bloodhulk once it landed.
  15. Sibyl wasn't sure what Layla was getting at with her statement but she didn't think it applied to her anyway. After all, the demon girl had always thought herself rotten to the core so she couldn't see any danger in corrupting that which was already steeped in darkness. All the same this train of thought was cut off when someone new came in. A person by the name of Hellhound of which Sibyl was only loosely familiar with, both from past dealings and people liking to bring up other "demonic" related heroes to her at times. The girl didn't really have much of an issue with Hellhound themselves, though for reasons that Sibyl couldn't bother to think about the reverse certainly didn't seem true. There was surely something, or many somethings, she could've done in the past so she didn't really dwell on it, especially as their attention was then taken by the sudden appearance of four more people. As Thessa was dealing talking with the Hellhound directly, Sibyl's curious mood seemed to sour almost immediately. Looking at all of the members of the Gibbons gang, with an almost pouting expression the girl said, "you know I liked those stain glass art things. I wanted to look at them more after I was done talking here." Letting out a sigh Sibyl looked towards Lailah saying, "you said they wanted you in your capacity as Archangel here right? Well, looks like you've got no reason to resign then." Her mood taking yet another one-eighty, Sibyl grinned from ear to ear saying, "looks like I get to play at being a hero today! Hoo man, first I get to hear an awesome story and now I get to do something like this! I haven't even had lunch yet." Her second arm became coated in shadows only to then have both the arms become beefier and thicker, turning to her attention to the one in the back and on either sides of them saying, "so which of you sinners wanna go first?"
  16. Fen was surprised that the card game they had been looking for had been the one that Melissa had been familiar with this whole time. There was something interesting to her about something so common place in one person's world becoming a hit new phenomena in another, but she supposed if this were a crossroads of sorts and people came with what they had on them then perhaps people often shared fads with one another as well. Though she was also curious if this card game were something unique to Melissa's world or if it was something in other ones. She had certainly never heard of it before, with either name, but there were card games from her world and she also knew that some people could use cards as a medium for magic so perhaps such things weren't that far removed from other worlds. Nevertheless, the girl marveled at all the cards displayed only for her browsing to be halted as her nose was assaulted. Fen wasn't quite sure what the deal with the fellow that had come up to them, berating them about the "proper name" of the game they were looking at. She figured such a thing was a matter of language, or colloquialisms , and found it quite rude to just start making fun of someone for not knowing local customs. The man seemed to outwardly have good intentions as well, though only if one were to take his words at face value. The girl narrowed her eyes at him the more he spoke, feeling more at unease the longer his presence remained - and not just because of the smell - and could see that Melissa was starting to feel uncomfortable as well. A rising disdain, an instinctual feeling of protecting and just the general pride she felt as a service worker against this man's attitude made Fen take a step forward, ready to speak up to him only to be interrupted by someone who had actually worked here. Fen was left to look at the cards on her own for a bit as Melissa ran off to go to the bathroom. Perhaps she had taken Nelson's advice to heart and went to wash the hand, but this unfortunately caused the young chef to be left all alone. She felt like she was in the middle of a market with no shopping list or clear goal, being unsure where to even start with all of the cards. And so, rather than hastily do anything else, Fen started looking at all of the packs, displays and boxes of cards that were around. After a bit of time, though, Melissa had eventually come back from her trip and upon asking Fen if anything caught her eye the girl looked towards one box in particular. The girl picked up a box of a rather demonic looking chef flipping a patty of some kind with some vegetables in the foreground. She wasn't quite sure, from the demon chef's face, if he was angry or happy but he certainly seemed to be energetic about whatever he was doing and so there was at least some form of kinship she felt with this chef man. The girl showed the box to Melissa saying, "I uh, guess go with what you know and all." After paying for the cards the girl looked to Melissa asked, "so uh, how do you play the game?"
  17. Carmen wasn't quite sure what to make of Brian's leaving statement, as she was certainly fine with just living. At the very least if she had the option of living afraid or dying because she carelessly decided to fist fight a ghost or something, she would definitely like to take the former option. It wasn't as though that Carmen had no hobbies either, she had a love of digital art and was a part of many fandoms. She did work at a dead end job, though, but that was out of convenience! And qualification. And the fear and anxiety of having to go through any interview process or make any kind of comprehensive, and likely very underwhelming and insulting to a reviewers time, resume. But she had hobbies! And she was making money off of commissions. Though she was still relatively unknown, and she did just about nothing to market or network herself. Thinking on it Carmen realized that she wouldn't even be making any money off of her commissions if a friend hadn't urged her to make a business out of art to begin with. But that was that and this was this! As Carmen was attempting to rationalize things to herself Brian had already made his way back into the bathroom, and the girl was on the phone. She didn't say much, holding her breath as the man had suddenly exclaimed. The girl was surprised at how calmly he could deal with the gangly creature that he had supposedly run into, though her nerves only grew more and more as it sounded like he was being put in more and more peril by the thing. The girl stood up from her chair, though didn't dare actually step towards the bathroom but couldn't calm this sudden bout of restlessness brought on by nerves in any other way. The girl was expecting Brian to run out the bathroom, yet was still surprised by the brief dual audio she was hearing both from him being in the same room and from her phone and then backed up nervously again as he ran towards her. With how much less composed he had been then before Carmen couldn't help but briefly wondered if he had been possessed by the ghost, only to think that his new plan was a much better one than what they were currently doing. Nodding hastily she shouted, "r-right!" Despite Brian being the one to suggest the plan and run out of the bathroom, he would find that Carmen was incredibly fleet on her feet in such a situation and was quite fast to get back to the van. However, once they got outside and were about to enter the van, the girl thought about it for a moment. Their mission was to suppress the ghost that had been in the school, and while they had managed to find it without being killed, which was likely more than any of the other victims could say, they still hadn't succeeded in that. And now they were turning tail and running, and while Carmen had half a mind to just tell Brian to get in the car and drive them off back to their respective homes, they still hadn't finished their job. And Ms. White was a witness to their failure as well. Which left the girl wondering what would happen when Shiki found out that they had retreated. That was only one fear though. They had met a ghost and Carmen knew that ghosts haunted things. What if meeting them meant they were now haunted? And what if they were just dragging a ghost now into Shiki's van? That would be very bad. Both because she figured that Shiki wouldn't appreciate there being a ghost in their van and when looking for something she didn't want to suddenly be jumped by that gangly long haired specter. And then if she were haunted and left the thought of being jumped in her own private bathroom at home was perhaps the most terrifying of all. While Carmen was now thoroughly motivated to not just run away on the night she then realized she didn't have any idea what would be useful against a bathroom ghost. A plunger? Did Shiki have one of those? The one in the toilet already didn't seem to be very effective for that janitor. Carmen then had paused in place, and looked to Brian the mental strife clear on her face combined with a bit of curiosity. "Brian...why is there a ghost in the bathroom?"
  18. As the Axe wielding guardian struck the ground, the two fighting it would begin to notice something as it slowly brought back its axe back up. While there had been a subtle hum coming from the axe the whole time, they would notice that this hum was growing louder and louder as the axe raised. More to the point Sabrina would see that the slight vibration around the axe was steadily increasing and a gray energy started to fill the blade. Soon enough, the blade itself had become blurred in its vibration and the hum had become a high pitched screech as the armor finally raised the blade above its head. The two would also notice that it's aim didn't seem quite like it was trying to hit either of them. And then, at the apex of its wind up it swung the axe down, smashing the blade against the ground rather than either of them letting loose an enormous burst of sound and force from it, the blade shattering back into water briefly before moving back to slowly form the blade once more. The previously Spear wielding guardian was unable to strike Abby as she had managed to beat the weapon away from herself. Interestingly, rather than call back the weapon as soon the attack was deflected it waited until the weapon had clattered to the ground and came to a stop to do so. It took up a defensive stance briefly, waiting for the spear to come back to it before it resumed its usual gumption. However, as both of its ranged attacks had seemed to not work as intended, this time the spear wielding armor decided to approach Abby. Slowly at first before suddenly rushing forward and going in for a stab against her.
  19. Chester had Hi'd his last "yah" as he successfully punched the Cleffa, only to be immediately be interrupted by something of an incredible wind storm. The phenomena defied all forms of logic that the Chespin was aware of, and to make matters worse he felt an incredible sense of dread as he was picked up by the wind. Not the regular kind that any normal person would feel being violently rag dolled by a spontaneous raging gale. No this was something more instinctual. Something akin to his very genes telling him that anything to do with wind would be a time for his species. Though, of course, he definitely felt the first kind of dread too. He had his own wind knocked out of him as his back slammed against the wall. Then, being picked up again he was tossed into an entirely different wall, slamming his arm against that. Then a third gale picked up and tossed him once more. He could see his own demise coming as he knew he was going headfirst into a wall, and that typically slamming one's head into something was considered fatal. However, as his head smashed against the rocky surface he felt...nothing? His head felt fully intact and he wasn't even suffering from a headache of some kind. If anything, he felt more sorry for the wall, though these feelings were interrupted once more as the wind continued toss him about like a chew toy. Chester's body ached all over as he awoke to the sound of a gentle wind blowing through the area. Pushing himself off the ground, Chester muttered, "what happened?" Looking around and taking note of the scenery, the boy said, "where...this certainly isn't a cave." The Chespin was shocked by the sudden six voices shouting at him, essentially expressing his own thoughts. Albeit louder. Looking to Hector the Chespin cleared his throat saying, "that is certainly the question of the hour." Everyone's attention was then drawn to the pokemon that, as Marv - someone who had most assuredly always been a Froakie - had pointed out, was the Mythical Pokemon Jirachi. "That would certainly not be the thing I'd have expected to meet here. But," Chester looked back to the rest of the group, taking stock of them and making sure they were alright. As the moderator it was his job to ensure the safety of everyone in the group. Though, as the de facto leader as a result, it was also his job to take charge in the conversation of getting info from the wish granting pokemon. Though it seemed to be asleep and two people were already asking it questions, and as such it would be rude of Chester to interject. Though also the first set of pokemon they met that weren't them were also immediately hostile so Chester wasn't sure if conversing was even in the cards with this pokemon. Though it was also a mythical pokemon and they were not in a cave so perhaps such a thing wasn't a worry he should've been having. Though every time they had come across something new or dangerous thus far that one sided voice would warn them about it, and it certainly wasn't doing such a thing now. The Chespin was lost in thought and decision paralysis for a moment before saying, "alright everyone make sure you aren't injured and keep your hostilities in check until this pokemon wakes up. One question at a time too!" The moderator had almost told everyone to form a single file line to ensure that they each went in a proper order, but stopped himself short before looking at the Jirachi.
  20. Ryia watched the conversation flow between the two elves and Lindow. It was becoming ever more abundantly clear that the elf was the person they were searching for - that and that he wasn't the best of liars - and that both he and the woman had no intention of going back to the other elves. The mention of the barrier had come up again and, once more, it seemed that there was nothing that was preventing them from entering the forest. Given the hostile reception they had been given by the elves she found it odd that they would set something up to keep people in rather than out, more so if it was geared towards only their own kind. Of course, Ryia had no idea the specifics of how these kinds of magic worked, or how limiting or restrictive they could be so she didn't really question it that much more. Though she did look to Madelyn, thinking if there were anyone to know about such a thing it would be her, but quickly looked back to the elven duo as Lindow had brought up the Demon Gate. Ryia looked nervously at Lindow as he approached the elves saying, "um I don't know if-" then cutting herself off and looking to the elves. "Well um, yeah we were sent to, uh, well, look for you in exchange for information. About the uh, Demon Gate. Because we're trying to stop it." She repeated herself from earlier before saying, "So do you - would you two know anything about that?" The girl replied, "Wait so you want to turn us in? Nuh uh, no way, that can't happen. That would be, uh, really bad." "Uh, it would? I'm sorry, you can probably tell but we're not really uh, from here. We don't really know what's going on at all, well at least with uh your whole situation and only have what the elves from the uh, city. Had to tell us. Like I said we were uh, just given a job. Sort of. But, uh, what's wrong with going back?" "Um....why do you think they want us back, exactly?" "Um, we were told that there was a uh, traitor of some kind who kidnapped," she pointed to the boy, "him. And that they also had an artifact that could uh, destroy the forest?" "I said I'm no one important." The boy said unconvincingly, to which the girl sighed and shook her head. Then she said, "Artifact huh, guess that's one way of putting it. And there's a lot that could destroy the forest...ya know, if someone wanted to. But yeah, okay, I took something when I left so I can't just go back there after that." The exchange only left the girl with more questions then answers, giving a confused expression on her face. "I uh, I see?" Mulling it over for a bit she said, "but well, you both don't really seem like uh, bad people. I don't think. At the very least you're uh, not here against your will. Well, with her against your will, at least." The girl thought about it for a moment before asking, "so uh, what did you take then?"
  21. As the group began to make their way downstairs for whatever Lailah was going to say, Sibyl clearly not caring that her conversation had been interrupted and completely shifted to an entirely different topic, the archangel pulled her to the side to tell her about the situation. Truthfully, the demon girl didn't understand what the problem with her reading it was if she was fine pawning it off to someone else. If anything it just sounded more irresponsible to Sibyl, not that that really mattered either. All that did matter was whether or not she told Sibyl she was willing to go along with the original proposition, as Sibyl was given no instructions for barter and the Archangel's refusal sounded pretty fun too. However, the current topic shifted to the impending end of the world and what the church's thoughts on the matter was. Sibyl had to admit she didn't know much about the actual mythos behind most religions went but as far as this one went, it certainly sounded pretty cool. Two, or maybe three she wasn't sure who Astra was, locked in an eternal conflict up on the sun to see who can push it the best. That kind of tug of war probably got boring after a bit, but she liked to imagine that they were doing more than just pushing a big ball of fire up there. She had also been incredibly intrigued by Nihil and specifically his status as a "supervillain." With the two heroes having asked their questions, Sibyl voiced aloud, “ooooh, this religion stuff is pretty cool.” The girl had completely gotten into the conversation, asking, “so like this Zoro and Nihil guy are super old right? How come they didn’t just die of old age up there?” Lailah smiled a smile that betrayed how many times she and other apostles had been asked this question. "The secrets of immortality are lost to us," Lailah said, "and, unless Aeon or DEUS submit themselves to a vivisection -- something that, for the record, I do not reccommend -- it might be lost forever." She pointed upwards. "But the sun is still moving, isn't it?" she said. "If Zorro and Astra weren't pushing it away, why else would it move? If everyone was dead up there, wouldn't the sun stay at a fixed point in the sky?" Having never thought about why behind the sun, the girl nodded immediately accepting such a statement as fact. “Oh, yeah, makes sense. So then those two were just born that strong?” The Archangel nodded. "They were born with their powers if that is what you mean, just like you and I," she said. "Or, I assume you were born with yours?" The shadowy substance of the girl's power coated her arm as she nodded saying, "natural born yeah," waving it around for the others to see. Then, putting her chin in her shadowy hand the girl said, "but that's kind of a shame. After all," innocently smiling Sibyl said, "wouldn't it be awesome to have the power to just throw the sun around?"
  22. Alois had done one of the few things he did very well. Stare dumbfounded for a brief moment, both as both Citron and Edrick had partook in self defenestration and that Gaston seemed to be far more competent at fighting then he did speaking. He supposed that everyone had to compensate for their incompetence somewhere else he just wished it was in less combat oriented endeavors. All the same, this dumbfoundedness lasted for only a few moments as the situation was most certainly not under control, least of all as knives seemed to fly out towards Link, and he had opted to be a little stupid himself. Paying no heed to the dangers of jumping out a third story window nor any of the group's poor prior experiences with such things, he leaped out of the third story window on the roof of the floor below. Alois paused, again, locking eyes with the assailant that had attacked Link moments ago. "Really?" The boy couldn't help but voice his thoughts seeing the otherwise innocuous maid who, as it turned out, seemed to be something of a trained killer. Before Alois could say anything more about this the woman, in quite the acrobatic feat, had leaped from the roof to the floor down below. Letting out a sigh the boy said, "of course, why wouldn't she be able to do that. Can't just be good at cooking and cleaning no." Alois had never seen the maid before, so for all he knew she was actually terrible at maid duties and was compensating with assassin skills. Shaking his head, the boy then ran over to the edge of the roof, looking down to see that the window that the woman had jump into was already closed. "Tsk." Clicking his tongue at the woman's exceptional speed, while he would've been inclined to go help everyone else he thought a knife tossing maid was something of a hazard to everyone involved. Drawing his axe - pausing for a bit as he heard an unfamiliar yell that belonged to a familiar voice, and seeing a wyvern on the ground when he was pretty sure it was charging when last he looked - Alois decided that his life of crime in this town was phar from over. Bringing the axe down, Alois committed an increasingly familiar act of breaking to then do the usual follow up of entering, clumsily going from the roof through the window below into the room. When he looked up, he saw that there was no maid to be seen. In fact, "oh, for the love of- " The sound of cooing that seemed to be more akin to screeching, followed by wings flapping and the chaos of feathers surrounding the boy. "Who has this many birds?!" Tsetseg had continued following along the members of the militia, feeling a sense of restlessness as she wanted to be sure that they were able to bring the bad man that would push people into a hole were brought to justice. Eventually, though, it had seemed the wait had finally come to an end. While Phai was currently not with them, based on nothing at all Tsetseg had every bit of confidence that the Phar Patrol girl would be able to catch up with them. While both Cora and Acantha had horses they were getting on, Tsetseg was getting ready to take off into a full blown sprint - she thought herself quick on her feet at least. However, at the idea of being able to get a ride on a horse was brought up, both due to a mixture of common sense and the thrill of being on horseback brought Tsetseg to believe that that was the much better idea. "Yeah, yeah! Let's go catch that bad guy!" Tsetseg scrambled onto Cora's horse, a determined look on her face that seemed to be slightly mismatched with the excitement in her voice.
  23. Lana's eyes widened as the axe struck true against the cultist's body and she was able to see the pale face of her opponent. Her expression became more and more creeped out the more that she was dealing with this creature, only for her to be even more creeped out - and annoyed - as the humanoid brought its dagger up and stabbed her in the shoulder. Gritting her teeth and letting out a strained noise of pain, she shouted, "what the hell is going on with you why don't you just - hey hey hey!" The girl suddenly cut herself off as the figure's body slumped against her axe and she felt the full weight of the cultist being forced towards her. The girl grit her teeth, pushing against her axe and twisting her body to the side. It took more effort then she would've liked, her arms not feeling up to their usual strength, but eventually she was able to toss the robed man away from her and to the ground next to her. Pulling her axe out, the girl looked at the corpse cautiously. It hadn't made much of a reaction when she hit it at all, and none of the things that they had fought so far she would classify as particularly "alive" to begin with. As such she wasn't sure if the creature's death throes were actually it dying or not. But, as it remained motionless and not attempting to stab her any longer, Lana figured it was a good time to move on. With axe in hand, the girl walked towards the two cultists that were close together. Knowing what happened last time she heedlessly charged them and still feeling incredibly on edge, she opted to walk cautiously towards them rather than just full on charge. Estelle, meanwhile, had taken a back step back from the Bloodhulk. Though she was not the immediate target of its ire, she didn't want to be in swinging range of it to begin with. As Chris went to charge one of the Cultists, Estelle thought it better to keep the large hulking creature occupied with her and Ziun to buy space for him. Waving her hand, two beads of fire appeared on an equal number of finger tips. Then, tossing them one after another, rays of scorching flame were shot towards the body and head of the beast.
