7/10 Okay so I was pretty blown away by that intro then expected this to be a cover of the "it's metal so we're going to scream every single vocal bit even if it means lowering the quality of the product" but that wasn't the case either. Not really hearing the problem with it. 7/10.
  2. Day 8, ?:00, Mall Points: 61 W/L Record: 3/3 "Sounds pretty lame honestly. If you have the ability to why not use it for yourself? You're given it for a reason. It's not their fault that they got lucky. It's like complaining about someone winning the lottery and not giving it away." That was villain talk, no doubt about it. Were she living in Aurora's world instead of her own, Morgan would probably be in for a bad time. So it was probably for the best that Aurora and Morgan were from different worlds. It wasn't like people chose what powers to be born with, so of course it would be for the best to use an especially powerful Fragment for the good of others! But this wasn't the time to bring that up, because speaking of time... "Well, regardless of how weird different they might be, glad to meet fellow earthlings in this weird place, oh, it's a lot later than I thought it'd be." "Wow, can't believe I spent the entire day with you two. Consider yourselves blessed. Is it getting close to your bedtime? Scared of the dark, Miss Demon Fighter?" As it turned out, it was actually getting kinda late. Aurora must have lost track of time somewhere, because it sure felt earlier than it was. "Not particularly. A blood drinker like myself must've spent a night or two in a coffin right? And those things are nothing but dark. And it's been a long day, so I could really use one of those. Besides, isn't it scandalous for a princess like you to be out so late?" Ross slept in a coffin? This girl was seeming more and more vampire-like by the minute, but she'd said she wasn't one, right? Weird. But this looked like a golden opportunity to have the tables turned on Morgan in conversation. Aurora simply couldn't pass this one up. "She's got a point," Aurora added, leaning forward onto the table. "I've heard of plenty of princesses before, but they've never been late-night types. You've got an image to keep up, don't you?"
  3. One thing after another happened, and Natsumi caught sight of not one, but two monstrous dragons. Being able to see duel spirits was more of a curse than a blessing, wasn't it? All the same, Natsumi probably would have been even more confused if she hadn't seen them. Even if the dragons didn't leave her surprised or confused, Barbatos sure did. When did he get that sword? Could he see them too? There were so many questions running around in Natsumi's mind. Alas, she didn't really have time to ask them. Between having to pick up the fallen groceries that the incredibly rude dragon had flipped over before leaving, and wrapping up her own shopping. Leiko seemed to have disappeared, leaving just her and Octavia. Weird. "L... let's get back to shopping, then." Natsumi rounded up the fallen groceries, and promptly left the aisle with a heightened sense of urgency. Another encounter with those two dragons was not on her agenda for today. As the two went about the rest of the store - Natsumi trying to waste as little time as possible - the green-haired girl had picked up various things with which to make budget foods, or foods that were themselves incredibly cheap. Instant noodles, bread and cheap sandwich stuff, and cheap drink mixes were just some of the things Natsumi had rounded up. Perhaps thanks to her thrifty choices, the total checkout price wasn't terribly high for all the things the girls had picked out. Once they were out of the store, only a single question came out of Natsumi's mouth, directed at Octavia. "Did you see them, too?"
  4. "Well, Kellz and I haven't really traveled ourselves but... well, I'm sure the two of us could show you around our home. I don't know if it'll be the most interesting for you, but at least there's a bunch of food places we could go check out." "That sounds nice too!" It wasn't quite bringing your friends to your home, but visiting a friend's home sounded fun too! And it would give Vivian new places to see, people to meet, and meat to eat. And if it was with friends, what else really mattered? And as long as it wasn't one of those dreary "global metropolis" types of planets where nature was well and truly done for, there would surely be some interesting sights to see while she was there. Even if it was just a species of bird she'd never seen before, or a pretty flower. Based on the ways Stella had described it, it sounded like a pretty normal planet, and that was the visual Vivian got from it. What constituted "normal" was a teensy bit harder to wrap her head around. It probably meant things like, sunny weather, green grass, plenty of open space. That sort of thing. After the densely-populated Colian cities and the eerily cubic dorms here that were also kind of cramped, she'd definitely welcome the breathing room. But no matter how she tried, her mental image always went back to dense jungles, rainy skies, and vertical cities. Not good. She knew her world wasn't exactly a normal place, even if it seemed perfectly average growing up in it. "Do you have any pictures of your planet?" Vivian inquired between french fries. "I'm trying my best to imagine what it looks like, but I keep thinking about how mine looks, even if I know it's not a texbook-perfect normal planet."

Planet I don't mind watching the world burn. If not for a clearly different voice than Dave Mustaine's, you could probably convince me this was a Megadeth song tbh. And I really like Megadeth. 8/10. Pretty sure it's a baby baboon? Might've missed something in the lyrics. 8/10. The way you described this sounded so interesting that I just had to get to rating as soon as I got to my computer and saw your post. And Garth Brooks is a name I'm familiar with. He did that "I've got friends in low places" song right? 7/10, covers like this one are a great example of how just because a person doesn't like a song's style, that doesn't mean it's a bad song. OP's suggestion. While we're posting covers of country songs, I may as well share a personal favorite. Maybe I posted this in an old thread? I dunno. It's not every day I rate my own picks lower than a 7, and I'm pretty sure I've never given myself the lowest score in a post. First for everything though. 6/10, could actually do with a bit less guitar solo padding, though I understand why it's necessary from the perspective of why this cover was done. The album release would have done wise to have like two minutes less worth of solos.
  6. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry This talking was getting nowhere, and wasn't helping the situation. If anything, it seemed to only be making things worse. Why did this girl seem even stronger the more she was getting beaten up? Desperation? Nani could only hope so. With her head angled downward, it was hard to keep track of all the rocks the Tyranitar had thrown about. That in turn made it tougher to avoid all of them, especially in the Mimikyu's injured state. Enough so that as much as she'd like to say one of them merely clipped her arm, that wasn't the case. The impact knocked her over, and she could've sworn she heard something break as she and the rock hit the ground. That left arm wasn't going to do her any more good today, apparently. But she still had her other arm, and even if she couldn't quite get the rock off her arm with sheer strength, she had other means. If Randy and Keanu weren't here, this would be a perfect time to use that earthquake attack Nani had "borrowed". So instead, seeing as her thunder wave did indeed hit its target, Nani settled for the next best thing. Slipping into the ground once again. She wasn't going to pop up behind Allie this time. The same trick didn't usually work twice in a row. Instead, she aimed for the front with both of her knees, looking to crash right into Allie's ribs.

I'm glad I waited before saying "this isn't a song, 0/10". Not because I like the song mind you, I just don't like being wrong. 2/10. 7/10, I always wish this song is longer than 30 seconds whenever I hear it, because it's catchy and fun as fuck.
  8. Darkness. Even if she wanted to, Hibiki couldn't see a thing in here. Then Ms. Hitotsume's voice rang in over the speakers, telling Hibiki what to do. The objective was simple. In this room there was a key. All she had to do was obtain it. Easy enough. Hibiki started forward... only to immediately walk into a wall. That wasn't there before the lights went out. The bat girl opened her mouth, letting out a high-pitched noise to get a feel for her surroundings. Wall, wall, door behind her... passage over that way. Ms. Hitotsume spoke again, teasing her about "accidentally" forgetting to mention this room was a maze. This was going to be a pain. And so, guided by her voice and the reflection of the sounds inside, Hibiki continued through the maze, taking careful note of what turns were where so she didn't get lost. Then, her ears picked up something. A sound from somewhere above her, over in that direction, hanging from the ceiling. She got a bit louder, to try and pinpoint the details. Small, round on one end then straight... this was that key she was looking for! And it was totally out of her reach! She couldn't pick up on any staircases or something either. Hibiki could already tell where this was going. The walls were short enough that she could climb up onto them, and thick enough that she could stand on them. Or so she thought. As soon as her feet were on the maze wall, it sunk into the floor beneath her, landing the bat girl on her rear and back at the height she was apparently supposed to take flight from. Well, this was a predicament.
  9. "I'm okay, yup yup! Thank you! Sorry, Beely isn't very good at being delicate! Cookies get! Now Big Brother and I can share them! W-wait... where is big brother anyways...?" Well, that didn't really answer the question of how she'd managed to knock everything off the shelves. But at least this girl was okay. Now the task at hand was to find her brother though. Spotting and picking up another bag of gummy worms among the aisle's worth of items this girl had managed to knock over somehow, Natsumi pressed down along the aisle. If the two were related, it stood to reason that they'd look at least somewhat similar. If they were genetic relatives, at least. "How about we help you find him?" Natsumi proposed, checking among the knocked-over iteems for any other snacks of note. "It seems unlikely he'd leave the store and forget you, so he must be somewhere in this building. What does he look like?" Natsumi tossed a couple boxes of granola bars into the cart. Snacks were good, but that didn't mean it was alright to eat nothing but junk food! Helping this girl also meant the Signers of the group would be able to check out plenty of different aisles, as well, giving them something else to eat besides just snacks. "What types of foods does he like to eat? We may have a better chance at finding him in the aisles for those."
  10. "You hear that? I command the might of Buffalo; no task is too large or small for me!" This guy was more and more confusing by the moment. Maybe buffalo were sacred where he came from? But even then, claiming to be the Chosen of something like that seemed off. Was this some sort of test? Pyrrha just wasn't sure what to make of this guy and his outlandish claims. "You know... It sounds like you're reaaally busy. So maybe we should just take this one and let you get to those other hundreds of people. Wouldn't want to keep everyone waiting." But if nothing else, the actual Chosen could at least take care of that woman's important mission themselves. Pyrrha felt a bit bad leaving one guy to do the hundreds of other tasks, and she likewise felt bad for all those people trusting someone who was probably in over his head, but sometimes you just had to grin and bear it. Lindow seemed to also have the same idea to leave this guy to his devices. She wasn't sure how well it would all work out, to be quite honest. Her gut said it probably wouldn't go so well for Geoff or the people that had entrusted him with various tasks. But this one task mattered. Pyrrha wanted to see it through, Chosen or not. As the boys started away from the so-called Chosen of Buffalo, Pyrrha followed suit, in search of the final boy in the team. There was still a lot that had happened since getting to this island that was stirring in her mind. The run-in with Hannah from the Council, this fake Chosen, those bees... and whatever else was waiting for the rest of the day. "Do you think it was really minotaurs that caused that lady's husband to go missing?" Pyrrha couldn't help but inquire, once the group was comfortably away from Geoff. She'd never seen one herself, but Pyrrha never imagined them as particularly angry types. "And for that matter, what could be stirring them up if it was?"
  11. I'm only gonna base this off the ones in the current thread because I'll be fucked if I'm checking all 100+ cumulative pages on the old site. Luckily, even the OP suggestions from this thread alone add up to a fairly hefty list, totaling in at 43 songs. Picking least favorites is tough because I generally only post songs I really like and want to share with everyone else, but I've tried my best to do a top 5 and bottom 5 (both roughly ordered from favorite to least favorite). Top 5 Akatsuki Records - Shout It Out Loud!!! Wind Rose - Diggy Diggy Hole Dryante Zan - Daughter of the Sea RD-Sounds - A-Yah-YAH-YaH-YAH! Ghost - Witch Image Bottom 5 Danny Baranowsky - Mausoleum Mash Nyan Cat Inkya Impulse Thomas Benjamin Esq. - I've No More ... To Give Young Scrolls - Heimskr EDM And a special mention to ExileLord - Soulless 5 in particular for serving as a pretty solid building block to sort the rest of the songs by. "Do I like it more than Soulless 5?" was a question I asked a lot and it really helped me when I had to sort all these out, even if the song itself ended up quite a bit lower on the list than I initially suspected it would, just barely scraping its way out of the bottom 5. I should reiterate though, that I really like all of these songs a lot; a song being at the bottom of the list doesn't mean I don't like it. Except the Heimskr one. I'm not especially nutty about that one, but I wanted to share it when I did simply for what it was.
  12. 1: I like summon weapons the most, especially when I get the Cosmic Car Key later in the game and can get rid of trivial things like wings to focus all my accessories on raw damage. Summon also lets me dip into another class of my choosing for supplementary damage (even if it isn't much), and for that purpose, I like ranged weapons in particular. If I'm not playing summon though, I like magic weapons best simply because the devs gave them so many unique toys to play with. 2: Plantera 3: This is a toughie, because I like nearly all of Terraria's music for different reasons. If I had to pick only one track though, it would probably be the rain music. It's super chill and a very simple, calm, easygoing song. 4: Either the mushroom biome or the underground hallow, at least aesthetically. 5: Chaos Elemental
  13. Who is your favorite character from any anime?
  14. "So, back on your planet. Do you guys only have like, vegetarian restaurants or something?" "Ahhh... kind of. Some places do have meat items, but between import taxes and all the other factors, like I said, it can get pretty pricey. Some coastal cities have been trying to get fishing businesses started, but the sea life is hard to catch and a lot of our fish are poisonous or have some other things going on, so it'll be a while before seafood ends up on the menu." It would maybe be about ready to go by the time Vivian was done school here and went home for the rest of her service, though. She couldn't wait to see how the fish of Colia wound up tasting when the time came. Setting her burger down and holding up a single french fry, Vivian continued "We still have other fast food stuff though! Like fries! All you need is potatoes. We can get milk from certain native plants even if the amount isn't anything amazing, so we can make milkshakes too. The menus you can find on Colia still have plenty of options, but I guess I can see why it might be weird for people who are used to meat being readily available." And it wasn't even like there was some cultural thing against meat, either. Vivian ate the lonesome fry before continuing on her burger. She didn't waste much time finishing it off, one bite after another, and before long at all, it was gone. It was a lot easier to chat between fries than between bites of burger, anyway, and she was excited to finish up her first one all the same. "Maybe if we get a vacation from school, you could come visit and see the place for yourself!" she suggested, before adding "...depending on the time of year. Or I could visit your planet instead! I haven't been able to see a lot of places since leaving home because it was a straight trip here, and I'd like to see a lot of different planets and people."

Using a different headset than I have since the start of this thread, and it sounds a bit different than the old one. Unsure if this will affect scores in any way, but you may want to take any of my comments comments about mixing with a grain of salt until further notice. ¡HONHONHON OUI OUI LE MUSIQUE! I love slap bass with a passion that makes me want to pick up bass for myself one day simply because of how good slap sounds, so I may be a bit biased when I say a bit more slap bass tricks throughout the song would have done wonders for it. 6/10 I was hoping this would get faster throughout the song and it did. Nice. Wish it was a bit longer though. 7/10 wait, Persona 5 has other songs besides Last Surprise? 7/10 OP's suggestion. Pantheon's rework goes live on League of Legends today, so let's rate his theme! 9/10, a MAN's theme for the rework of a MAN!
  16. ...why does this not have mega mawile on it, but has mega audino and mega diancie twice? if mega mawile were here, she'd be in SS tier along with mega beedrill.
  17. Location: Skrelp Harbor Poké: 0 700 "Well, probably best to get away from whatever that thing is, huh? My head still feels kind of light." "You sure it's not just because you're not used to some swimming?" Not that Kanon was exactly a swimming expert herself. She didn't feel totally normal, but was chalking that up more to diving being quite a bit different from what she was used to, and less to that statue down there. With Nomi awake and about the same, she asked a question that made Kanon audibly groan. "Why am I so wet?" "Water does that to people. Even you should know that. Come on, up. We've got stuff to do." Figuring-out-about-that-statue stuff. And returning-diving-equipment stuff. The latter wasn't that difficult. Just a quick trip to the diving shop, changing back into her usual getup, then putting the stuff where she was told. The other stuff involved a bit of asking around. She had something specific in mind, and that required going to a specific place to meet a specific person. Kanon wanted to know where city hall was, so she could try to get a meeting in with whoever was in charge of this city. And as luck would have it, he wasn't all that busy right now. "If anyone can get something done about that statue, it should be the mayor, right?" Kanon asked her teammates, before stepping into the office with the man himself. This was that stuff she referred to earlier at the dock. And she hadn't forgotten that it would probably be a good idea to call the professor, but that could wait until after this. "We figured out why all those Skrelp gather up in a dangerous spot. There's this strange statue under the water that they seem drawn to. I'm not sure what can be done about it, but that's why I wanted to let you know." Leaning over toward Oswald, Kanon whispered "Anything else we should bring up while we're here?"
  18. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "But you are as dumb as I thought! The problem is no one was willing to fight to the finish before us!" Stupid. Wholly and entirely. There was no finish. As Nani's back slammed into the ground in front of Allie, she moved her arms up to cover her face on reflex. Good thing too. She could feel that sandstorm once again getting replaced with rain, courtesy of Marie. Although, at this very moment, with her appearance at stake and all, Nani almost would have preferred the sandstorm. Almost. "You all should be joining me not fighting me. Even if you could stop us all what then? We're all back to where we started." "We could say the same to you," Nani rebutted, rolling over onto her front then slowly getting back up to her feet. She kept her head hung low as she stood back up, that way - even if it had been torn to ribbons - her hood could at least do its job of keeping her face covered. "If you lose, you're back to where you began. If you win, you build a new world and then what? You'll end up back where you started all the same someday, because you fought your way into it. It's called the cycle of violence for a reason. For all we know, today's Legends were the same as your kind in an old world." That idea was a weird one, but it did get her wondering. Could it have been that the guardians of Alola were once like these Godslayers, then decided to renounce their ways after realizing what would happen? Then created a place to live in peace for that reason? ...well, all the same, trouble found its way to Alola too. Otherwise Nani wouldn't be here, butting heads with a Tyranitar in the company of others she'd never seen before leaving home. "And what about all the other people in this world? It sounds a lot like you're on some 'destroy the world and build a new one' idea, so does everyone else have to die? And it may be because I haven't been in this region very long, but just what are the Legends you've already got doing so wrong that you have to start killing them all?" Attacking Allie directly with her own face at this angle wouldn't be a very solid course of action. And so, instead of charging in again like Randy did, Nani stepped back a bit, firing off another thunder wave as a follow-up to Keanu's attack.
  19. "I'm sure you're strong yourselves but the Chosen...well, you know, they can wrestle dragons and outrun lightning right? That's what everyone says." Luckily, their cover hadn't been blown. Did people really say that though? Hopefully it wasn't hyperbole. Pyrrha would rather like to be able to outrun lightning or wrestle dragons one day. If that sort of potential was really in Pyrrha just because the wind spirit decided to pick her up as its new champion, she'd have to strive to not let it down. Or the other Chosen, for that matter! "Guess we should find this guy. I don't like the idea of someone taking advantage of people off our name and reputation." Speaking of other Chosen, Reinaan was right. It was high time to go find that other other Chosen. The group eventually caught sight of him - after reuniting with the rest of the team aside from Damien - and were met with the sight of a strange man with a strange beast. Calling it strange was probably redundant. Calling the exchange between him and Ryia weird was not redundant. Something seemed off about this Geoff guy to Pyrrha. Especially with his most recent boast. "I am the Chosen of Buffalo!" That definitely sounded off. The rest of the Chosen here were of specific elements. Water, thunder, fire, that sort of thing. And then buffalo? This was fishy. A bit too fishy for Pyrrha's liking. Raising her hand, the elf girl inquired "Can you show us some magic, Chosen of Buffalo? I've heard that the Chosen are able to do amazing things with their element, like breathe fire or turn into stone. Compared to the hundreds of other requests you've gotten, that should be pretty trivial. I'm just curious what a Chosen of Buffalo would be capable of."
  20. At least Erica was a good listener. The girl then proceeded to check her things, pull out a stuffed rabbit, then change into some PJs. Must have been planning for a lazy day in or something. Sammi didn't envy that sort of attitude. Having a day in could be pretty productive, but only if one made it so. Sammi would be lying if she said she had any real interest in getting to know her new roomie any better. They were just two people who happened to be sharing a room to live in, so there was absolutely no reason Sammi had to oblige herself to be this girl's friend. Besides, she had more important things to think about than friendship. "While you're doing... whatever it is you're up to, I'm going to see if I can't find the school's library," Sammi stated, making for the door. She still had a job to do after all, and the library would be the beste place to study, no doubt. Hopefully she didn't encounter any weirdos along the way. The two were in agreement, then! It was high time for Vivian to try out a hamburger. She and Stella checked out a number of places they were able to spot on campus, and in the end, settled on a place called Burgz Palace. This was definitely not Vivian's first encounter with fast food of course, but burger chains were a bit out of her experience. Stella paused to take a picture, before the two went in. The place was packed, and the line was long. Just as Vivian was about to suggest maybe finding a different place, the line moved. Then it moved again. At what felt like regular intervals, the line kept scooting forward, and before she knew it, Vivian was up to order. "Welcome to Burgz Palace, where beef is king, as long as you got the mooolah we've got the goods. What will be your order today?" The menu, right. Vivian had looked it over on the way up to the counter, thanks to the display between the two lines of customers. Even though she knew what she wanted, she almost on reflex ordered something else. "Sala--er, no, one hamburger please. And a medium fry." It felt strange ordering one. It felt stranger when it wasn't even all that expensive. The next part - finding a seat - was a bit more difficult than paying for and receiving her order, but in the end, Vivian spotted an empty table and led the way. She sat down, eyeing the burger. This was an exciting new first! Time to see what all the hype's about. And so, starting with the burger, Vivian took her first bite. Her eyes widened in surprise. It had a distinctly different texture from everything else she'd eaten before, not to mention the flavor was something she'd never quite experienced before. There was still a bit of familiarity in it with the veggies in her burger, but that new foreign taste really stood out to her! "It's tasty," she beamed. "I should be careful not to have too many though. I don't want to end up super missing them when it's time to go home." But there was certainly no rule saying she couldn't treat herself to one as a reward every so often. Yes, that was a good way to help it serve a double purpose. It was her first burger, and her reward to herself for making it to MechA cademy.
  21. "Bingo! Right again! Herc is very strong! However. Herc may have abilities even he isn't aware of. If you think you know everything about your quirk, then you are dead wrong." Just as HIbiki thought, it would probably be in her best interest to read up a bit more on different types of bats. As Ms. Hitotsume went on to explain a bit more, Hibiki tried to imagine what could be in her future if she kept at it. Maybe because she liked oranges so much, learning more about fruitbats was a good starting point? Then the waitress came, and this place didn't accept the National Heros Bank card. Ms. Hitotsume then proceeded to dine and dash, urging her students to do the same. This wasn't how heroes were supposed to act! Bzzt, bzzzzzzt. Bzzt, bzzzzzt. The sound of HIbiki's phone vibrating on the desk in front of her broke the early-morning silence. While she wasn't the only student in 1-B that lived in the dorms, most of the class lived in their own homes that were fairly close to the school. It was her, Herc, and... was Diana living in the dorms too? That was someone she hadn't talked to much. Getting to know her - as well as the other classmates she hadn't really talked with - was a good idea. For now though, she'd settle for talking with the person on the sending end of her latest text message. 1 New Text: Hikari Bats exist in all corners of the world except for very cold areas. Don't forget to bundle up once winter comes around up there, sis! Hibiki wasn't the only one doing bat research, either. When she'd told her sister about the idea, the twins agreed to both do research and pool their knowlege together. As a result, a lot of the recent text history between the two was a plethora of bat facts and trivia. Most bats mainly eat bugs, but some species eat fruits instead. Maybe that's why I like oranges so much! "Blind as a bat" is a bit misleading. Microbats do have poor eyesight, but larger species can see just as good as humans, if not better! I didn't know that! I'll have to try training my eyes then! It was for this very purpose that the two were trading facts back and forth. To give Hibiki more ideas on how to improve her Quirk. While Hibiki already had some of the defining traits down, there were still so many other kinds of bats out there with their own unique traits and skills. How was she supposed to go about training her eyes, though? Would it be like those boards with all the letters on them that eye doctors had? Also, mom and I did some looking into that thing you asked about the other day, about twins and them having matching Quirks. We couldn't find much, but every pair of twins we were able to find Quirk records on did have some sort of link between their Quirks. Even the villains you faced both seem to convert something into kinetic energy, based on how you described them. I don't know why we turned out to be an odd exception, but don't let that get you down! I won't. Though Hibiki would be lying if she said it wasn't something she would be able to just stop thinking about. But this was no time to weigh herself down like that! She still had a lot of work to do if she was going to catch up to the other students. Hibiki switched from her texts to the internet, where she'd been looking up videos. Instructional videos, from others with mutant-type Quirks, about how to best exercise one's wings. A bat's wings are actually more like really big hands that evolved in a special way. ... This whole "Quirk improvement" thing was going to be complicated. Today, Ms. Hitotsume had said she had something exciting in store for the class. Hibiki couldn't wait to see just what it was. And she couldn't wait to show off what she'd been working on, either! The class was led off to a building separate from the main one. It was unsettlingly perfectly white. Once inside though, the teacher made it clear just what this place was. "Here we have the Training Facility! Virtually indestructible rooms where we can simulate many different scenarios! State of the art technology, all at my disposal to tortur-I mean train you! Now please select a room, and we'll get started with how far we can push your quirks!" Training facility? Perfect! Hibiki let her gut feeling pick a room for her. That one. Near the middle, a bit to the left, that was her door of choice. Hibiki wasted no time making for the room. It was dark, and the air compressing as the door behind her closed made her curious just what was about to get thrown her way. But also confident that she could handle it!
  22. As Jun went on to explain who was dueling at this year's kickoff, one thought crossed Kyouko's mind in particular. I have no idea who those people are. "A clash of this year's rookie versus a senior member of the duel team, and one where if Shiro wins then Hiku will have no choice but to admit how much better I am than him!" And you're starting to not make perfect sense either. That wasn't how that worked, right? If Jun's protege was the winner, that meant he was the better duelist, not Jun herself. Unless it was purely because of her tutoring or something? It was a weird angle, but she could kind of get where Jun was coming from, assuming it wasn't some sort of joke. Another crumpled ball of paper was tossed through the air and into the trash where it belonged, as Jun went on to explain why kickoff was such an important event in the first place. "But enough of that Kickoff stuff. Whatcha working on Koko?" "Costume," Kyouko plainly started. This one barely even got more than a couple stray lines in before joining its fellow failed designs in the trash. "I went to the Entertainment Duel Club the other day like I was supposed to, and a lot of what we talked about there was about personas and costumes. I'm trying to figure that out." It had to be something that covered her face, at the very least. That was where she was getting all the different failed ideas from. Some knight armors, a firefighter at one point, some assorted extra designs based on the monsters in her deck. "I don't like crowds, so I want to come up with something that looks good but keeps my face covered. I don't think I'd be able to handle the popularity if I somehow turned out to be good at this entertainment thing." There was that one girl in the club, come to think of it. Not the tiny one or Kyouko's not-quite-lookalike; the other one. She had a reputation before coming to Blue Yonder, and now was here as one of the club members. How did she deal with the pressure of fans and popularity and all that? Spread out around the desk were various cards from her deck; the ones she used most. These cards - especially Phoenix Gearfried - just looked too... heroic. That was why she kept tossing out the knight idea. With all the pieces sitting in front of her like that, maybe... her approach was wrong? Kyouko opened up the little red box with her cards in it, and dug into her extra deck, looking for one card specifically. It had helped her win a duel just the other day. Black Brutdrago. Maybe that was it. Something less like the rest of her cards, and more like this? Yeah. Maybe. She started over again. "Nice bowtie, by the way," Kyouko smiled. "Looks real fancy. Goes with your hat pretty well." Not that Kyouko knew the first thing about fashion. Frilly costumes and caring about what color matched with this or that specific shade of blue was too much for her.
