  1. Friendship with Ganondorf over, now Ridley is my Smash Bros main.

  2. "Be ready to greet and also... be ready to test them. After all, we wouldn't be a Gunpla Club if we didn't toss out a challenge to our newbies. That said, any questions?" The start of a new school year. To think that last time, Ichigo was on the other side of that club door, bursting in and falling on her back... it wasn't the best entrance. A lot of things had happened since then the more she thought about it. Some of it good, some of it bad. Ichigo couldn't help but cast the quickest little glance toward Nana in particular. Yeah. Lots of things. But she wasn't what Ichigo was supposed to be thinking about right now. Rather, being her senior in the club, Nana was the exact opposite of what Ichigo was here to deal with today. She was a second-year now, and new club members would be coming in like Tatsu said. Probably. Gunpla was pretty popular, after all. And the club was looking pretty small, come to think of it. But any new arrivals weren't here just yet. And so, there was some time to kill. Ichigo found a seat, got comfy, and turned her eyes toward one of the other club members. Riku. Another one of her seniors in the club, and someone she hadn't talked to very much. Which was a shame. He had a really neat gunpla! But he wasn't much of a people person, was he? "You'll fight some of the new students too if they show up, right?" she asked.
  3. Finally got Smash Ultimate today. First impressions: it's good. I like this.

  4. This book, as it turned out, wasn't all that interesting. Maybe it was the glances she kept feeling from the nearby literature club. Maybe it was that the library was too tranquil. Whatever it was, something wasn't sitting right with her, which would have been fine had the book been any good. When in doubt, some mindless wandering often did good. And so, Kyouko put the book she'd been reading back in its proper place, left the library, and stepped outside. While the initial burst of activity in front of the school had passed, it would still be a lie to call it quiet in any capacity. Students were still buzzing to and fro, working with new club members who had just now joined clubs, or doing the paperwork for members who had been waiting their turn in long lines for the more popular clubs. That was a hard pass from Kyouko, and so her feet found themselves guiding her somewhere else. Until, as she turned the corner, she bumped into someone. A girl, also with blue hair. Hadn't she seen this person before? Something seemed different, but the same. She was at that duel Kyouko had watched, right? She didn't seem like she was paying much mind to where she was going. "Watch where you're going," Kyouko commented.
  5. Bonus round: the "Scor" in his name could refer to both "scorch" and "score". I'm doing this part of the post right before I actually post because I mention Scorbunny a bit further down and that suddenly clicked in my mind. Might be worth noting since it makes the athlete theme all the more likely. Now then, on to the rest of the post. So images of the entire Galar Region map have been floating around on the internet, and I noticed a particular building that appears throughout the region. Pretty sure they're gyms, which led me to label the likely locations of all eight gyms and guess at their possible types based on location. It doesn't preview very well on Neo, so I'll just link it right here for your clicking and viewing pleasure. Please take a look at it before reading the rest of this purely speculative post. (on another note the Galar map is absolutely gorgeous and the chance to explore it can't come soon enough) I would throw out the guess that the little red church-looking building near the bottom is a gym instead, but the buildings I've guessed are gyms have very distinct designs and every region with gyms has that "little town you pass through before tackling a gym" town. I'm sure one or two of my guesses will be off though, most likely what looks like it'd be the first gym (in the bottom city). Steel-type for the first gym would be kinda painful unless they're making it resist less of basically everything or you picked Scorbunny as your starter. I also didn't realize when I was labeling the map that the gym near the nazca lines we saw in the trailer was also near Stonehenge. So at that point I'd say it's more likely a Psychic gym than a Grass one.
  6. Location: Ferry Poké: 740 "Wait h-hold on a sec!" And with the Tackle, Icarus was out of the fray. That meant Oswald was the first one out. If nothing else, Kanon wouldn't be dead last in this scuffle. As long as there weren't any malicious intents floating around, battles were pretty fun, as it turned out. Kanon was getting a better idea of why people wanted to be the best at this, but the title of "Champion" still didn't feel like something that suited her. Especially not with what happened next. Ivan's Pancham made its move, thrusting its arms into Lunar. Then a second time. And a third. And a fourth time to call it a day. Lunar's legs wobbled for a bit, before giving in, with the stony boy falling onto his belly, no longer able to fight. "No sense in you holding Knight. I'll take him off your hands so you can focus on the battle." "Piiiiiip" "I've got him." Kanon reached into her pocket with one hand, taking care to not let Knight slip out of her grasp with the other, then pulled out Lunar's Pokeball, and returned him to it. You did a good job, Lunar. She would have preferred to win, obviously, but it wasn't like she could go back in time to do it over again. Losing was part of trainer battles too.
  7. I predicted a UK region back during X/Y's run, so I'm glad to see one popping up now. Now to see if my dreams of a Fire/Water teapot come true. As for starters, I'm liking Sobble a lot. Dunno what I'm hoping for mechanically out of the Galar region, though it may also be worth noting this is the first region to not have an "o" in its name. The look of the big city with all the gears and stuff - I'm guessing it's supposed to be part of (maybe all of?) London given the Totally Not Big Ben™ there - is really nice too.
  8. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "Erm they....they aren't here. I think they snuck out....again. T-They do that a lot. Um. E-ever since Allie left they, um, they...well. Have been...trying to go fight Heatran....up there. I s-should go get them...again." To only a mild degree of surprise, Marie had scolded Trevor for not keeping a better eye on the kids, and then to even less surprise, followed it up with an offer to help him get them. He was jittery. Nervous. If Nani were able to smell fear, she'd probably know this guy from a mile away. But she couldn't do that, and besides, he knew how to get to where the group was trying to go. Randy had asked some questions about Heatran as well. The bottom line was he liked to fight, and based on Trevor's little laugh in the middle of the exchange, maybe wasn't a nice guy after all. Which made sense. Who erupts a volcano just because they're getting antsy? What's next, burning down a city over a card game? ...actually, I'm pretty sure legends that aren't from Alola just aren't good people. That seems to have been it ever since we got here. "And the kids we're looking for?" Nani asked. "What are they like?"
  9. "With how bad your aim is, I can only hope you clicked play on accident and meant to uninstall."
  10. "I used to be a devout Christian, but you've made me realize God doesn't deserve our worship if he makes people that play as badly as you."
  11. I'm a support main on a notoriously toxic MOBA so suffice to say I've got plenty of hate for my teams. Let's put those negative emotions to some positive uses and give everyone else a chance to spread the "love".
  12. Now that a chunk of site members are starting to approach and break the 1,000-point threshold Black talked about a couple posts up, it feels like a good time to bring this topic back up again. Are there any solid numbers on membergroup prices? Are minor alterations allowed between old YCM groups and their Neo counterparts? Basically, what all does the mod team have figured out for these?
  13. Location: Ferry Poké: 740 If nothing else, Knight was doing a fine job of causing havoc by simply throwing himself into the middle of the battle. Jacklyn's Pokemon nearly attacked it instead of Icarus, Knight himself was subject to Lunar's body being thrown at him, and had let out an attack of his own. It seemed to be aimed at someone else, but with the Rockruff now right there, he wound up taking the blow instead. This was getting out of hand, and fast. While Lunar had the initiative to back up on his own, taken by surprise with the sudden hit, Kanon carefully skirted her way around the edge of the action, trying to get as close to the Hoppip as she could without putting herself in danger. And then, without any warning, Kanon suddenly reached forward, looking to scoop the little pink creature out of the fray, taking this time to hand out her next order to Lunar. "And now, tackle Icarus!" This was a free-for-all, after all.
  14. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "Wait, so yer sayin' the kids are with you? Well isn't that convenient." It sure was! Just as Keanu had said, it meant that they could do what they came here fore without going all over town and probably getting into a fight along the way. The group had been getting caught up in a lot of those lately, and Nani recalled the Tyranitar back in Mowloo saying something like "it doesn't matter who you are in Trailsau as long as you can fight", which while she certainly could, Nani preferred not to. "Can we come in to check up on them, then?" Checking up on a Tyranitar's kids... was it just her imagination, or were there an awful lot of dark-types lately?
  15. Still waiting for that app format, chief. EDIT: Interest has been withdrawn thrown into the void
  16. And they said we wouldn't get any fresh blood on this site. Except I'm pretty sure nobody said that. I did think it though. Whatever the case you sure showed them! Welcome aboard, lad. Read the rules, be good, and enjoy your time here.

Never heard of it. 7/10 tbh, with some modern-day polishing up and new instruments this could be pretty damn good. People who try to post for high scores (anything past an 8) seldom get them in my experience. I'm hard to impress and don't seem to share much taste in music with the vast majority of this forum. 5/10 >& Skrillex 3/10, I was never all that nuts about Utada to begin with, but she'd be better off by magnitudes working alone is what I got from this. I'd say something like "such vocal talent being wasted like that can only be compared to the likes of Lady Gaga", but Gaga still puts out some pretty stellar songs, especially for the radio pop type of music she does. OP's suggestion, this time it's a two-for-one deal for reasons. But they're both by the same band so I guess it's more of a band spotlight? ...should I do those? ? I rated the original version of this song 7/10 once on the old site (thanks Mirei), but this is more my style. Not my favorite Nevermore song by any means, but still a solid 8/10. The reason this one's a two-parter though is because posting a cover of a song somebody posted in an old thread for my suggestion just didn't sit well with me when that was the intent. I just really like that Nevermore really made this their own and felt like sharing. So I will now proceed to rate my actual suggestion, which is also by Nevermore, and it's my favorite song by them and also the one that introduced me to them. Did I post this on the old site? I feel like I might have. Oh well, new site who cares (and it's my thread anyway). 10/10, that chorus tho.

You continue to have the consistently best taste in this thread besides myself. 10/10! sinnoh ? 6/10 I know there's at least one other version of this same song, and I prefer that one tbh. Still an easy 8/10 tho. This certainly isn't what I expected. Which, given it's IOSYS, I should have expected. It's like a weird mix of stuff that's really really good, and some elements that are... questionable. Doesn't help much that I can't tell what it's meant to be a remix of. 6/10 OP's suggestion, also from IOSYS 10/10
