  1. Alexis always tried hard to not be distracted on the battlefield. But first with Leon's relationship with the adorable girl who Alexis couldn't help but watch run off, making sure she wasn't accosted on her way to healing, and now...this. She let out a gasp as she saw Ada using...that magic. That terrible, unholy, dragon-born magic. Magic that Alexis was sworn to defend the world from. But the practitioner was one of Leon's companions. A lovely girl who seemed rather young to be practicing such a dangerous magic. The Pegasus Knight knew what she had to do. "Alexis, if you could come along too." "One moment, Leon, I have a soul to save." She swooped nearby the girl and called out to her. "Fair maiden, I must give you warning. The magic that you are using comes from a demonic creature! If you go down this path for too long it may swallow your very soul! I ask you to rethink this decision." She glanced over at the battle and cursed under her breath. "I must go now, but keep my words in your heart!" Then she swooped away dramatically. She kept to the side, attempting to avoid the axe users, and went straight for the Mercenary. "Ganging up is it? How about I even the odds!" She called out. She thrust her lance at the man. Who raised his blade to try and block the attack. Only for it to get shoved into his face. Dazed, the Mercenary was unable to avoid Alexis's follow-up, which caught him in the chest. "You keep strange company these days, buddy." Alexis said towards Leon. "What have you gotten yourself into..." Rona was being worn down. She could feel it. Slowly but surely the damage was racking up and her attacks were slowing slightly. The bandit that attacked her left himself wide open. Rona should have been able to take advantage and finish him off but the blow she dealt to him didn't quite fell him. He still hung on and would have attacked again had their employer not gotten in the way. "Ahaha, good shot!" Rona said, trying to keep composure. "I would have taken care of him but I appreciate it nonetheless." Looking across the field there were a couple others grouped nearby...and one who had attacked Leon. For a moment she considered going for him...but that would mean abandoning her mission to do what she wanted. So instead she veered towards the Fighter across from her. If she could keep those two from getting any closer....perfect. "You two better stay away from him, I'm not letting you take one step closer!" She shouted as she brought her axe down towards the Fighter's skull. Hopefully she'd be able to finish this one off in one blow and redeem her mistake earlier. The bandit brought up his axe to try and stop the attack, deflecting it slightly, causing Rona's strike to instead bury itself in the Fighter's shoulder. The damage done was severe but...it still wasn't a kill. Damn it. From a relatively short distance away Alexis called out to her. "Awfully protective of him, aren't you?" Rona didn't get the suggestion in the stranger's words. She shot out a, somewhat frustrated, "yes, of course. He's the commander after all." Alexis raised an eyebrow at Leon. "Commander, eh? What HAVE you been up to, you scoundrel." Before she could retort to this she saw the Fighter, with an angry swing, strike back and cut into Rona's leg. She let out a hiss of pain and refocused on the man.
  2. Meanwhile I'd rather have the new models. To me I feel if I want to use those others I'd just replay the old games. Which is something I often do anyway. Personally I get new games for new experiences. Not to mention in the other games they have limited amount you can catch during normal gameplay anyway. Transferring them from other games to me feels like its taking away from the game. I get it from a collector standpoint but in that case I don't get why where the collection is matters. They don't delete the previous games. Plus from what I hear about Home you can play with the Pokemon in ways you can't in the games which sounds pretty nice. Sorry I seem to have fallen into a rant lol
  3. Dennis cowered back a bit as the two ferocious strangers closed in on him. Instinctively his hand went to his Pokeball but he stopped himself. Remembering that his Pokemon was elsewhere at the moment. So he was defenseless against this massive thug, who Dennis was sure had to be at seven feet tall, and that executioner of a girl. With a gulp he stood up and backed away. What was he supposed to do now? They outnumbered him, outmuscled him, and he had no idea where his partner was right now. "I...I just eat whatever I can get." Dennis said in response. He realized he had to play along with these two. Whatever they asked he had to answer. It was the only way he'd get out of here alive. "I don't get to choose what comes my way." His eyes shifted over towards the windows. No. Too high up. But if he had to... "U-uh...you're not here to fix the light right? I...I keep it going to make sure no one comes here. So there shouldn't be any reason for you to be here." His eyes widened. "Are you here to rob the place?" His eyes flicked to the pair's bags. It didn't look like burglar equipment but... "There's...there's nothing here. Just go away!" He said, raising his voice slightly, then wincing as he realized what he had done. They were going to throw him off the edge for that weren't they?
  4. I think the main issue is that even for an all-rounder there is too much going on. I'd say focus on just a few things. Since there's like 7 or so different things it's got going on. I'd like to focus down to 3 maaaybe 4 things. Just seems it can do too much and it gets muddled. Pick a couple weapons and also something unique to it so that it's more focused and not overdone.
  5. "The ticking thing is a figure of speech. The way you work, what parts do what, that sort of thing. I'm curious about what sort of technology makes you operate." "Why, I operate on explosions of course!" BOMB said. He tapped on his chest and it swung open. Inside was an extremely complicated collection of wires. Near the center was a small, cube-shaped, object. Looking closely one could see that every few seconds a small explosion went off and sent electrical pulses through the rest of him. "I believe it operates similarly to the organ you possess called a 'heart'." BOMB bent forward a bit and poked Sammi gently on the chest. He paused, made a curious whirring noise. Then his eyes shifted into a straight line as a cone of light came from them and began to scan Sammi up and down. "Mech pilot is certainly an impressive job to have! I'm here for something kind of like that myself. I kind of have to, since it's for a military thing where I'm from; ten years compulsory service between ages eighteen and forty. I wanted to get my years done as soon as possible so that I don't have to worry about them later, and training counts toward them, so I guess you could say I'm here to try and take the easy way out for a few years?" "well, that sounds rough. So what would you do once you're out?" "Soooo that's a no to the dancing?" Kelsey said, before following the two over to the side. She thought about the girl's answer. "That kinda sucks actually. They force you to take a that many years out of your life just for that." The girl clenched her fist. "I'd tell em to shove it, myself." She looked off to the floor. The energy of the room was getting to her and she was itching to do...something. Something physical. It didn't help that what Vivian had told them got on her nerves. She just needed some sort of outlet for it. The girl began rocking back and forth on her heels, eyeing the crowd. "Kinda wanna hit something now." she muttered under her breath.
  6. Here's how it works. I post a word; you post a gif that relates to that word. Try not to use the gif function of the site. Once you post a gif post another word. And to make it more interesting it has to start with the same letter that the previous word ended in. First word is... Fool
  7. Team Alola, Day 27, Trailsau Allie froze up momentarily as the electricity coursed through her body. She glared at Nani as the Mimikyu ran past her. "So that's how it is, eh?" The Tyranitar extended her hand and a blade of rock formed in her grip. It then shattered and sent large shards of stone at Nani's back. While she was slowed she wasn't stopped and Allie continued making her way forward. She reached into a pouch around her hip and pulled out a Lum Berry. "You caught me by surprise but that's not happening again. I'm not letting you up that mountain so you better just face me now." As she said this she sent a second wave of stone after the first. --- Heatran had tried to ignore the water pushing at him as he advanced towards the Incineroar. The added jolt from the electrical blast nearly stopped him in his tracks. But he had put too much force into this attack and wasn't so easy to stop. Then he was struck by an unorthodox and powerful blow from Randy. Heatran's back slammed into the stone in the center of the volcano. He got up to one knee, threw his head back, and let out a loud roar. Lava shot up around him and enveloped his body. A geyser of hot lava shooting straight into the air as the volcano rumbled. And then the geyser shrank, more and more, until it fully dissipated. And Heatran stood back up. He opened his mouth and steam billowed out of it. "The volcano's rage has died." He looked at the three. "It won't be erupting today." Team Mac, Day 23, Ogren Mac patted Ari on the shoulder. "That's more like it. Let's show her that she can't just go around doing whatever she wants." Mia, meanwhile, had started her Rollout attack. But Kazo was fast enough to slip in front of her in order to Iron Head the rolling ball. Kazo would be pushed back but the attack would halt Mia's momentum. She uncurled from her ball and the expression on her face was less than friendly. "I tried to give you a chance. But it looks like it was pointless. If you're going to stand in the way then I'll have to knock you to the ground." A psychic aura surrounded Mia's head and she slammed it into Kazo's. Hitting with such force that the Gabite couldn't react as she began to Rollout again. That was when Elsa stepped forward and launched an Ice Beam. Not at Mia, who was spinning too fast to be much affected, but at the ground in front of her. Which caused Mia to spinout. Coming back to her feet the Miltank looked even more angry than before, more unhinged, and she darted towards Elsa. Her speed was incredibly impressive, even for her already surprisingly fast species, and one of her fists was enveloped in flames as she punched Elsa across the face. "Come on!" Mac called out to Ari as she rushed towards the Miltank, aiming a kick at her leg. Team Neo Not Dark, Day 33, Merm Palace "We might need to get out of here fast, so if you have any ideas on how to escape this place, I'm all ears." "Fast? Why?" Dora asked Easter as she followed along with the Sylveon. "Are we having a race?" Dora thought about it, thought some more, seemed to lose the thought for a while and started to hum a tune. Then suddenly "Oh oh, the chair. Papa's fancy chair. We went under it when we left last time! It goes really fast under there!" As the two got nearer to the area the dungeon was at a group would come into view to stop their advance. A Corphish, a Frillish, a pair of Corsola, and a Slowking. The Corpshish pointed at Easter. "You! We were told by the king to protect the princess. Hand her over now! Your friends are stuck in the dungeon. You're all by yourself; surrender!" --- "The king man!" Phione told Denku. "He said that mama is avoiding him. So I'm here. So that mama comes here. But it's not bad. It's relaxing here. No one's trying to eat me like out there. That was scary. This isn't scary." She smiled at Denku. "But I'd like to visit Mew again. That would be real neat." --- “Any ideas? You’re from here so you know this place better than me. I’ve probably got one or two more walls left in me, but I’m just about spent.” Gisei sighed. "It's not looking good. The soldiers are wide spread, not many of them are actually stationed here, but the longer we wait the longer they have to gather together." He looked back at where Denku had left. "Once your friend gets back we have to get through them. Best bet we have is to surprise them so we can break through. Once we do we head to the throne room. And hope Dora remembers what I told her last time we got out of here." Team Karaoke, Day 37, Deadlands "a real charmer, you are." The Drifblim nodded and smiled somehow even wider. They cackled again and swelled up more, stockpiling more energy. The started floating on towards Nine again, getting closer once again. And then they were stuck in the side by a barrage of water. Kayla appeared nearby, firing off another trio of Water Shuriken. The Drifblim didn't seem to be much affected by the attack, merely bouncing back and forth a bit as the water hit. Then they shot out their ribbons towards Kayla. The Accelgor jumped up, landed on the ribbons, and jumped higher in the air and shot out more water. --- The Chandelure meanwhile was directly beside the shell of grass. They stretched out their back and then opened their mouth and shot a Fire Blast at the structure. The flames hit it but, despite being made of grass and flowers, only suffered minor damage, and so the Chandelure continued to launch her attack. --- The Gastly that Lok struck didn't so much as let out a sound as they toppled to the ground. They simply started to slowly float back up and head towards the two again. Gwen in the meantime had struck another of the Shuppet with a Hex attack. The Gijinka didn't go down and, with the other Shuppet, started to float around towards the side, while the Gastly were heading straight for them. "We just need to make sure they stay down." Gwen said, her tone much darker than before, as she struck the Shuppet mercilessly with another Hex attack. The other one had gotten too close, though, and vanished into the ground before emerging in front of Gwen and slamming into her. Then it let out a loud Screech, right in front of both of them, which would echo painfully in their heads. And then the Gastly struck, the two nearest sending poisonous smoke billowing at the two of them. Team Showdown, Day 31, Oasis "Assassination huh...well they can't assassinate us all at once! When it comes down to a brawl, we'll be the ones comin' out on top! The godslayers don't got nothing on Team Showdown!" "I got a bit carried away there... and...I'm sorry." As the two talked Isole slipped over by the table. She sat down, still floating slightly above the floor, and tentatively reached out for a piece of pie. Seemingly trying to avoid the others notice. She took a slow bite of the pie. Her eyes widened very slightly and she shoved the rest of it in her mouth before reaching for another slice. Meanwhile Landorus was failing to hold back his laughter. "You kids are too much. Fine, I get it, you're strong, you're sorry, that's all well and good." He winked at Isole. "Why don't we just enjoy ourselves now eh? No reason to worry about all this serious stuff right now. I'm sure you both could use some relaxation after all this."
  8. Most of the app is fine but the thing with the mech is...I'm having serious trouble picturing it and figuring out exactly what it "does".
  9. Another call for people to join the PU Monotype Showdown tournament; head to the Showdown Club to sign up!

  10. The group was able to make a fast pace down the road. The fact that the road was mostly straight, with only gentle curves, and seemed fairly well taken care of helped them speed along without much trouble. The mule, happy that someone was paying attention to it, seemed not to be troubled by the load and in fact managed to surge ahead of the rest and had to be reigned in a bit as to not get too far ahead of the rest. They continued on, rushing, until the grass started to get lower once again, and Keres announced that she believed they were far enough away. They would continue to be alert but nothing came out of the grass to attack them. Keres, with what seemed like relief, slid off of Kloqah's back. She hesitated and patted the lizard's neck before drifting off to the side. She wasn't fully comfortable with having been trapped with the Draken for so long and it felt much better being away. She wasn't entirely fond of the memories that came to her when the Draken was too near. --- Myyrha, the largest city on Qresa. Traders from all over come here to sell their goods to the adventurers and mercenaries that pass through the city. Unlike many other cities in Fantalius this city is known to be refreshingly peaceful. Though the merchants, and the theater, makes the city rather lively. It was protected by rows of high stakes, the kind meant to keep out wild animals and mounted attackers, surrounding the entire city. With watch towers set up where mercenaries with ranged weaponry kept an eye on things. As the group approached they saw the portion of the wall that the road led up to was being pulled apart. Though it seemed it wasn't to let them in. Instead it was allowing a trio of people to leave the city. Two of them would stand out in any situation. They were a pair of yellow scaled Draken. Both in the armor of a Templar and standing on either side of the third person. One of them was holding a large parasol over the one in the middle. Who mostly stood out due to the contrast to their companions. A young, blonde, girl with bright blue eyes. Keres's eyes widened slightly in an unprecedented level of expression for the Water mage. As they neared this odd trio she slipped behind the others as though to hide among them.
  11. "What else should we do? Some shopping maybe? I haven't really had a girls day out before, so I don't know what to do with them besides what you see on TV." "Sure shopping -well, maybe window shopping, sounds fine. There's a mall nearby, right? So let's go check out that." Morgan, similarly to the other two, didn't really know what groups of girls usually did together. But she wasn't about to let them know that. She tossed her hair and smirked smugly at the two of them. "Oh you poor things. You have so much to learn." Placing a hand on her chest she led the way. "Thankfully you have the best teacher. You'd be hopeless without me." The mall was bustling that day. So much so that people didn't even notice the Arena Fighters as they walked through the place. Morgan, still leading the way, went straight to a shop that sold various figures. They seemed fairly pricey but Morgan was "ooh" and "aah"ing over them. She ended up focusing on one figure that seemed to be some sort of character. The witch glanced at the price. 75 Points. She then looked at her watch. After the movies she only had 60 points. She looked at the figure again. Then the watch. Then the shopkeep. She wondered briefly if she could convince him to lower the price...then, with a pout, stood up and started out the door. She wasn't used to not being able to buy just whatever she wanted and the fact that this eluded her frustrated her completely. "I need food anyway let's get out of here." Morgan said stiffly. She noticed that there was a gathering of a large crowd near the fountain in the middle of the mall. It wasn't very difficult to see why. Security guards were keeping people back from a group of what could only be described as humanoid plants. From the brief time Morgan spent here she recognized them as the ultra popular boyband Plants in Pants.
  12. So she was free to go whenever? In that case she should just go now. She wasn't very hungry and the half of a bagel that she forced down was already forming an uncomfortable lump in her stomach. And yet... Where was she supposed to go after this? There weren't any tasks for her. No direction. So really there was no reason to leave. One place was as good as another, as always, so there's no reason to waste her time moving around only to not have any sort of destination in mind. So she would sit there. Even once everyone else had left the table she wouldn't move unless prompted. She hoped they would all leave soon. It was all so very noisy. As she sat, holding the partially eaten bagel absently, her mind drifted. The last time she was at a table like this was...at her own home. With her parents. It was that night. The last night she would see them. They were eating pasta...wait, lasagna. Her father had made it. Her mother had tried to but, as usual, ended up putting in the wrong ingredients. So her father had taken over to try and salvage it. They both laughed about it. They laughed a lot then. Hotaru did too. Though she wasn't sure what was so funny. She was just amused by their laughter. She was drinking orange juice. It was a big deal. She hated fruits even in liquid form. But she had finally been convinced to try it. It wasn't very good, like she had expected, but she didn't die, as she also had expected, so overall it was a positive experience. That was the last time she ever had either lasagna or orange juice wasn't it? Hotaru glanced at a pitcher of it on the table. She didn't have any reason to force it down this time. She would leave it untouched.
  13. Penelope smiled at Shiro as the Protean made his way to help the others. She looked back at the two boys who were now sitting on the ground. "He's a good guy isn't he? This is so exciting, traveling with two Proteans. Who would have thought?" She put her hands behind her back as she crossed over to stand by the two. "I suppose so." Gunther said idly, mostly paying attention to the beavers. "Though I admit something about them makes me a bit uncomfortable." he hesitated. That sounded bad didn't it? But it was true. He couldn't explain it but he had started to notice he felt more nervous near them. "I wonder what that might be...perhaps you're allergic!" Penelope said. "Did you know that there are some people who are allergic to air? They have to breath through a mask to survive." Gunther looked up at her. "That sounds rather unpleasant." He said, sounding genuinely concerned for the poor air allergy sufferers in the world. "It sure is. If they get too much air without the mask they pop. They never could ride a mount either. Too much air all at once." While Gunther pondered the unsettling statement Penelope spoke towards Alois next. "You're from the upcoming town right? Is there anything we should know about it?" She put a finger to her lips and thought of something. "Why'd you have to leave anyway? Did you break some law?" --- It wasn't long after this that the beavers ran off and they heard the tree falling. Both Gunther and Penelope turned towards the noise, Gunther watching the beavers to make sure they didn't get too close to the danger area, and Penelope hurried over towards the edge of the water again. "Adelaide, get out of the way, hurry!" She called out. The large Pegasus would be difficult to get out of the way if it didn't move on its own.
  14. This had gone to shit. From what she could tell most of them, even if they didn't want to turn Silver over, wasn't willing to let Crimson take him either. Valerie's gut was telling her that letting Silver go with Crimson would be the only chance the odd being would have. If she had to fight them all then she'd do it. She wasn't so sure Misu being on her side was a positive or negative but it wasn't time to doubt her decision now. "You ain't my teacher." Valerie told Spring Lock. "And from where I'm standing you're no hero either." "What do you think, Silver? You wanna go with Crimson?" "I do not know who to trust here Valerie Clark, besides you and the boy named Yuudai. But you seem to be at odds..." Valerie shook her head. She still couldn't say for sure if Yuudai was wrong about Crimson or not. But... "At this point I don't think you can avoid both the government and Crimson's group. Sorry to say but right now I think your best bet is to go with him." She looked towards Spring Lock "I get the feeling this 'hero' isn't going to be very gentle about it." "I understand...I shall go with this Crimson...but I believe you will find yourself in conflict with the others..." "That's just how it's gotta be. Everyone's gotta live with their choices one way or another." With a smirk she flashed Silver a thumbs up, "Even if they all gang up on me I'm not going down that easy. You're looking at the future top hero after all." She then called over to Crimson "I don't think we can win and get him out safely; you might want to take Silver and go." She let out a sigh. "It's about to get really heated here." "Val...Spring Lock isn't someone you should underestimate. We used to be on a team before all this government nonsense...are you sure you don't need me?" "I have no idea but I do know that if you go down here there's no way Silver will get out. You're the only one who knows where to take him." Crimson looked to the ground, and then to Silver. "I hope you know what you're thinkin', Val." He sighed, before running over towards the river ushering for Silver to follow. Silver looked to Valerie, and touched her mind gently."I pray we meet again, Valerie Clark." With the 011 in his arms, Silver made a made dash for the river with Crimson. "I won't let you get away!" Spring Lock shouted, as the tightening sound in the air finally snapped, as the man's approach velocity was off the charts. His arm letting out the same harsh snapping sound aimed towards Valerie's center of mass. "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" She braced herself as the flames erupted around her. She had gotten pretty worked up on the way here. But she wasn't sure it was enough. She could only hope that this would slow him down and let the others slip away. She then launched as much of her flames as she could straight at Spring Lock. "Don't go thinking you can just run past me!"
  15. do the thing and get a list you weakling
  16. Similarity to This thread This is from: https://www.dragonflycave.com/favorite.html Except in this case I went to the options and unchecked every box besides Gen 1. I'm curious as to what people's favorites are from each gen (might make more threads for the other gens later unless someone else wants to) Mine
  17. I know there's a lot of really cool games revealed and all that but I'm so locked in on Pokemon SWSH and Fire Emblem: Three Houses (and to a much lesser extent FF7) that I feel I can't even consider anything else right now.
  18. The clerk noticed the two gathering around a particular spot which prompted her to go check it out as well. As they watched the carving seemed to move. The lower half, which was where the tentacles were located, started to sway back and forth in a hypnotizing manner. The longer they looked at it the more drawn to it they were. The clerk found herself reaching out for the carving and, before she realized what was happening, put her hand on the statue. There was a sickly green pulse that came from the carving and each of them, for a moment, saw an image of a tentacle covered face in their minds. And then they saw Chinchou's Flash attack. Behind them they would see half a dozen Skrelp coming in towards them with aggressive expressions on their faces. The clerk blinked a few times before gesturing to the other two, pointing at their Pokemon, then at the Skrelp. Ivan and Jacklyn didn't get harassed by any more wild Pokemon on the way up to the next level, nor the next after that. They emerged at what seemed to be the top of the stairs in a small, empty, room. There were more windows up there than any of the other floors but other than that the room was empty. Including the light that was supposed to be at the top. Jacklyn, not satisfied, went searching the room and found a rope dangling near the middle of the room on the ceiling. Pulling on it made a narrow staircase tumble down, leading up through the ceiling. Entering it they would find another, smaller, room. In the middle of which a large cylindrical light sat. As they stepped into the room they would end up stepping on candy wrappers and bags of chips. And tucked away near the edge there was a bedroll. Sitting on top of it, holding a comic book in hand, was a thin and small young man. "W-who are you?" He asked shakily. "What are you doing here? G-get outta my home." ------- It was silent down where Belle was. The Rattata were hiding now and no other Pokemon seemed to be around. Yet Belle could sense something was wrong. She felt as though she was being watched. And then she could hear something. Someone laughing. A soft and menacing "Haun haun haun" And then she felt her backpack move. And heard the zipper slowly unzip. Were she to look she would see. A pair of floating, purple, hands reaching into her backpack.
  19. Kotori might be my least favorite Love Live character all together. Faye isn't my absolute favorite but she's really cool and I have some nostalgia for her.
  20. Both my nominations but I've been attached to Anna for a really long time. Meanwhile Youmu...well, I like her a lot, favorite girl from 2hu, but I never got super into Touhou Sad to have to vote against her but them's the breaks.
  21. Another tough one cause I like Zelda, especially in Smash, but since I'm not too attached to her series and I really enjoy everything about Yoshiko gonna go with her.
