  4. Why would you post this half-baked monstrosity, Yui
  5. Team Karaoke, Day 37, Near Alpha Even with Quincy's incredible speed they still had to stop several times throughout their flight to rest before they made it to their destination. Thus it was four days of off and on flight. Near the end of it Gwen had decided that she didn't like this way of travel much at all. Though there was no saying it wasn't efficient. Quincy dropped the group off at the edge of the land where the city was located, mentioning not wanting to set foot on the land itself if she could help it. Thankfully it was only a few hours walk to get to the city itself from the edge of the supposedly cursed land. Gwendoline, coming from this area, didn't think it was cursed at all. That being said she could kind of see why people would think that. The land was grey. There were clouds continuously overhead and it was difficult to tell morning from night at times. The soil felt like ash and looked the part as well. There were some trees but none of them had leaves and most were simply scraggly stumps attempting to survive in a dead land. No animals moved around except for the occasional lizard and some underground creatures that fed on said lizards. The strangest part was how separate it was from the rest of the world. The spot that they stood now was grassy and alive. Yet simply three feet ahead the land suddenly...died. Gwendoline smiled at Kayla and Nine. "It's nothing to worry about, really, there's plenty of people who live here just fine. I came from here after all." With that she and Lok floated over the clear line between the normal land and the territory of Alpha and Omega. And that was when they both would be flooded by a host of memories, all at once, overwhelming them and causing Gwendoline to pass out. ---- A dream. She was dreaming. Or was it a nightmare? She was in darkness. Everywhere she looked the same darkness. Until a figure emerged. Only noticeable because they were darker than the darkness itself. A voice. A deep voice. A frightening voice which somehow soothed Gwen to hear it. "You have returned." It said. "Yes, master." Came her immediate response. She knew who this was. She knew who she was. She knew why he was here. "This group...is it all you could muster? I sent you to bring us allies. Are they strong enough?" "I am unsure." Gwen admitted. "They are strong. But few. There were more. More that were ideal for facing our foe. But they left. Had I remembered I could have convinced them to stay." "You know why that's impossible. Now, child, have you come to a decision? About the state of the world? Is it not as grim as I said? What have you decided?" Gwen thought. A world of pain She thought of a librarian, who was more than simply a librarian, seeking to kill a legendary trio despite the risk to a group of people shoved into a pit by those in power. She thought of an Altaria who, instead of showing mercy, murdered a woman without attempting to understand. She thought of a library burned down in a war between gangs while the authorities did nothing and the people suffered. She thought of a battle between a legend and a single man which destroyed an entire city. She thought of another city, destroyed by the passing vengeance of someone simple because they could. She thought of a Legend, sacrificing herself to try and fix what a single person caused. She thought of a scared girl who had taken the wrong path. Who was driven away instead of loved. She thought of friends whom she had met along the way. And she wondered if that could possibly make up for all the terrible things in the world. "I've made my decision, my lord." Gwen said at last. "I choose..." --- Gwendoline woke up to Kayla hovering over her, a look that she could only assume was concern on her face, and smiled. "I am alright. Sorry for worrying you all." She stood up. "I'm not sure what happened. But I think I'm okay now." She glanced over at Lok. She gave him a knowing smile and then turned to Nine instead. "We can get going now. It won't be long before we reach Alpha. Oh, I'm so very excited. Absol-utely so!" True to her words only a couple hours travel, though it felt longer for Kayla and Nine given the lack of anything, until they saw Alpha. The city was surrounded by a wooden fence, only waist-high, and there were no gates. Gwen hovered over the gate without trouble but paused. "Oh, I suppose you'll want help getting over won't you?" She giggled as Nine and Kayla would struggle, despite the shortness of the fence, to get inside until she or Lok helped them over. The city itself was seemingly abandoned. The buildings were small, wooden, and seemed to be falling apart. Yet as they traveled through Nine and Kayla would hear voices whispering constantly around them. Then, as they reached the center of the city, where a statue of a cloaked figure stood tall and proud, they were surrounded by dozens of Ghost types all greeting them happily and asking them for their names and asking how they were feeling. They greeted Lok and Gwen warmly, welcoming them home, and asking them what they saw on their journey. It seemed each one of them knew the two by name, and Lok and Gwen both found that they, too, knew each of the people whom came to talk with them. Team Alola, Day 27, Trailsau While the group as a whole seemed to not be interested in going towards the unusual building Marie was a different story entirely. She strode up to it with the confidence reserved for elite warriors and children and knocked on the door. There was no response, for a while, and then the door creaked open slowly. Just a crack. BGM Someone inside was looking out. Staring. Gazing into Marie's very soul. A stare that could shatter stone and melt steel. A gaze of pure, untouchable, power. Like something from a myth about a power that had to be locked away for centuries lest it break out and overwhelm the entire world in fire and brimstone. The kind of power that none in this world could ever hope to match or even hope to stand next to without being crushed by its sheer overwhelming presence.... The door opened. BGM Standing in the doorway, clutching the door nervously, was a rather average looking Flygon Gijinka. art by cdov34 "U-um, hello? Er, who are you? I don't want any trouble so whatever you need I'll give it to you okay?" He stammered. Glancing over at Randy he winced. "Just don't beat me up, please." Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest Veronica was now in a dangerous position. With Taiga moving in to attack her wings and Zygarde approaching from the front with Outrage in their movement. Taiga reached Veronica first but Zygarde wouldn't be far behind, going for a frontal assault on the Crobat with all of their considerable strength. Isole hesitated. She didn't want to get in between either of those attacks. So she instead moved herself towards Veronica's side. If the girl managed to get out of the way of Taiga's attack she would use an Astonishing attack to ram the girl into Zygarde themselves. They had to make sure that even if the girl dodged she would still be put into a position to get hit. The Godslayer noticed Taiga's approach and, anticipating their target by watching the girl's feral eyes, shifted to the side and released another Cross Poison at the Sharpedo to block her attack. That was when Isole rammed into her and caught her off guard. The next thing she knew Zygarde was standing before her, bringing down both of their arms for a crushing blow.
  6. The elemental's flames pushed back against Lindow's Thunder blade. The two magics clashed and it would soon be clear that the elemental's was stronger. The blade was unable to pierce the flames that erupted around the elemental's head and would eventually drain Lindow entirely. Reinaan wasn't entirely safe either. The fire on its back suddenly grew more intense as a column of flames erupted upwards and surrounded the Draken. Even with his natural resistances it was obvious that without the magic items he held onto he'd have been burnt to a crisp. With them he still would feel the flames licking at him. Feel the heat start to overwhelm the item's magic. To make it worse the elemental's flames, which had been parted earlier, surrounded its body once again. The creature seemed to grow bolder with this and pushed its way upright once more, forcing Reinaan to have to hold on to keep his place else he would fall off the elemental's back. Even without arms it was clearly a threat and Keres knew that she had to hit it again. Though the connection was Flux was starting to shake, having used strong magic to enhance her water attack, she pulled from his power again and shot a blast of water at the creature again. Striking around its torso and blasting away the flames that were protecting it. However she had to keep pushing as the moment that she broke concentration the flames would re-envelope the small opening she was able to make. The elemental seemed simply enraged by this act. It looked towards Lindow and, opening its mouth in a crackling roar, shot a gout of flames at him from its skeletal mouth.
  7. Knight bounced back and forth, realizing they weren't paying attention to him, and growing more frustrated. But that was fine if they weren't paying attention to him now they would be soon. He looked around at all the attacks going off and focused on one. The Pancham who was rushing at one of his new friends. Taking advantage of the bird Pokemon being focused on their own attack. How dishonorable of him! Knight knew that if they weren't going to pay him any attention he had to make sure they had to notice him. So, with a battle cry, "piiiiip!" Knight rushed forward towards the Pancham and, throwing all of his, rather light, weight into it, rammed into the Fighting Type Pokemon. He was sure it was an impressive attack. However it wasn't much more than bumping into the other young Pokemon. His signature Splash attack not really doing much beyond whatever his small body could do by ramming into the Pancham. Which, as should be expected, wasn't much of anything.
  8. Everyone was choosing roommates. Hotaru didn't understand. What made these people who don't know each other decide to bother trying to room with a specific person? They knew nothing about the person, really, so why did it matter? She was content with just letting it play out and getting whoever was leftover. Dragonecro wasn't so sure about that. If she ended up with that Mr. E, well, he didn't imagine that going well. He had to somehow convince her to choose one of these fools. But, who? Hotaru didn't take part in Dragonecro's search. She didn't even realize what he was doing. She was just vaguely listening to everything that was going on. The most obvious being, of course, that man named Zirco. He was challenging another of them to a duel. "Go team." She muttered to herself. Already at odds with each other. Already at each other's throats. This right here was why she didn't bother getting involved. Not worth it. Dragonecro had a different thought though. He watched as Zirco left and leaned down towards Hotaru. "He seems tough doesn't he?" Hotaru's eyes flicked over to the side. Unsure what he was getting at. "He might be able to handle...that." Hotaru slowly blinked, mulling over what he had said, thinking about what it meant for her. Then she gave a sigh and nodded. She supposed that was as good a reason as any. And if Dragonecro thought it a good idea then she probably should do it. She considered letting the other two know she was leaving but figured it didn't make much a difference. They'd notice or they wouldn't. So she slunk off after Zirco silently. He had said something about a track. Meaning the garage. She wasn't sure which direction to go but thankfully Dragonecro had been listening and pointed her in the right direction. By the time she got there, though, the loud girl was already talking to him. Challenging him in the other's place. Such a pointless thing...But it kept the girl from approaching Zirco. So she stood there. Awkwardly shifting. Watching Zirco from under her bangs. Now she was there....what next?
  9. Apparently there's a tab to see how often you've posted in various areas, kinda neat.

  10. I have zero idea how I accidentally locked this. Anyway I've never actually played Sunshine and it doesn't look super appealing to me. Wind Waker is still the only Zelda I've actually played and really wanted to (besides BotW)
  11. I hate that the finals is a threeway match I blame Rod
  12. How many gatcha games do you play and which would you recommend most?
  13. "Nevertheless, I am grateful we did meet, as we might not have come out of this battle unscathed otherwise." "Yes." L'Arachel said gravely. "I mean no ill when I say your party is not the most equipped to battle such a fierce foe. Of course, many would have said that about the group I once traveled with, yet we were able to save our land. What I mean to say is that one thing I have learned is that even those not of such grand and blessed blood as us can still make a difference." The girl watched as Catriona left with Link, a look of shock on her face. She turned to the nearest person, who happened to be the wood cutter who was giving her the oddest of looks. "I know, it's not often one sees such dazzling radiance as I. But I must ask you." She looked off to where Catriona and Link had gone. "Is that man her vassal? Or is it perhaps usual for men and women in your land to be so...close. Unless..." She gave a look of horror. "Is this a scandalous affair?" Penelope frowned when she realized she'd have to wait for an answer. She wasn't sure where this impatience came from but she couldn't help but tap her feet as everyone was given their answers. She smiled only when Tsetseg came up to the group and gave them her theory. "I think you're onto something, Tsetseg." Penelope said kindly. She had an odd urge to pat the girl on the head but refrained, only barely, when she realized it might come off as condescending. Then the abbot explained some things to Ciela. Some things that simply...didn't add up. "You say this text was lost to history...but there are many texts that counter the point made. You must understand it's difficult to believe such things when all the physical proof points in another direction." And then he lay his hand on Ciela. And something incredible happened. Gunther awkwardly waved as Link left, his question remaining unanswered. He started to talk to the woman but she seemed distracted by something. "I, uh, pardon my interuption ma'am. I'll leave you be then." He gave a short bow and backed away, face reddening at the uncomfortable situation. He then came across Alois, who was in discussion with that....she had to have been a Pontic right? Yet she had mentioned something about another land. Moving over to Alois he whispered to the Fighter. "Do you think....she might be from a different time? Like...that thing that we weren't going to talk about again?" L'Arachel looked down at Gunther from a top her horse. "Sir Knight shouldn't you have gone with your Princess? Unless that rather rough looking fellow was also a knight." Rough looking... "Link? Link is...well, he's not a knight. But he sort of is. I um...am not fully sure." "Goodness but people in this land are rather lackadaisical about protocol aren't they?" Gunther had no idea how to respond. So he just looked to Alois with likely the same expression Alois was giving back. The Awakened, in the meantime, seemed to be uncertain of their place. So they milled about, somewhat aimlessly, waiting to see if they were needed again.
  14. No, but a bull one could be pretty cool. Think about it if a cat turns that big a bull would be HUGE 16
  15. "I have you now!" "Oh do you?" Valerie responded, smirking widely as the ice crept up on her. She managed to reach her feet as the ice hit. "Let me tell you something. There's no cold I can't handle. All I need...is to push harder!" The flames met the ice and the two elements struggled with each other. While the ice was striking from multiple directions the flames were surrounding the girl. Wherever the ice hit there would be fire blocking its path. And so she surged ahead. Her body was slowly starting to numb but the fire burned just as hot as before. So she went straight for the source of the ice. Raising a fist as she got closer she fired off a blast of flames once she was within ten feet of him and, right as she did that, she followed the flame's path towards the boy. She wasn't about to let this get to her. If she let the ice overwhelm her she was done for. So she put her all into this punch, swinging with as much force as she could muster, aiming to hit the boy on the side of his head.
