  1. Fen had sat there listening to everyone's suggestions about names both for their team and furry friend, as well as their thoughts on being a leader. Naming pets had never really been Fen's strong suit. The girl had never really had a pet in her life and she was certain she didn't have the mindset to be the caretaker of one either. It wasn't as though she hated animals, she had been friends with a rather large wolf back in her guild, she just felt that a woman who made a living of killing and preparing animals for consumption probably shouldn't be in charge of the well being of another. That and as it had turned out her ability to name things was rather lacking as well. Trying to think of a group name, as none of the others really seemed to stick to her, she thought back to her own guild. Cherry Heart. Within her world there were several other guilds that had a similar naming scheme, like Berry Soul, so maybe that was the way to go. Trying to think of a similar kind of name the girl's eyes darted over to the rice ball that she made raising an eyebrow at it. Thinking aloud, "Fruity Fish?" The girl then felt a sense of embarrassment at the name that didn't exactly sell the whole "defenders of the world" thing they were tasked with. "Or uh...maybe not that..." Turning to Melissa who asked how it would be decided Fen said, "I uh, think it's something that we'll probably just know when we get it." As it had turned out as well, none of the members of the group really wanted to be leader either, two of them not making mention of it, Aduain stating the position wasn't for him and the Melissa making a comment that elicited a brief chuckle from Fen. The young hunter herself was never one to step up and take charge back in her guild. In fact, when she had joined she had such a problem with speaking with others that the thought would've seemed preposterous, and she had a hard enough time pulling her own weight. And with the rather colorful assortment of people that had made up her guild, finding a would be leader was never much of an issue; to make no mention of Fen simply being content to play her role in the background. Yet, over time she had gotten better. She could speak to people without feeling anxious, her magic had grown considerably and she was certainly able to hold her own now. As such, since no one else seemed willing to go, Fen considered speaking up. Yet, she couldn't help but feel awkward about suggesting herself as leader, as she had been the one to bring up the topic in the first place. Old habits proved that they did die hard, as she was worried if the act would be seen as too self serving or not. In fact her worries prevented her from speaking up immediately, such that the topic was no longer on it. Instead, the conversation had shifted to their plans for the day. Fen's eyes brightened as she said, "oh, going out to spend time together sounds like a wonderful idea. I was thinking of going shopping myself. The kitchen we have is nice and uh, well equipped...I think...but my options for food are uh, well, limited. So I figured I'd get something. So, well, we could go do that together." Now with their plans set in motion Fen was about ready to get going, after eating yet another fruity rice ball, before looking awkwardly around the table. She was well versed in conversation now that she was certain that were she not to bring it up now it would just linger and everyone would forget about it. As such, her eyes shifting around uncomfortably, she decided to bring the matter back up somewhat abruptly. Stammering out, "also um, uh, if no one else wants to be leader. Then I uh, I wouldn't mind trying...I uh, don't really know what goes into being one but I'd uh, do my best."
  2. "See she gets it," Alois gestured over to Citron as Edrick made his complaint on choice of team name. "And if I had to guess, throwing a shot in the dark here, the owner of this house wouldn't be forthcoming with that information. Besides it sounds like he's caught up in something right now and I oh so would not want to interrupt that." With that out of the way, the gang had walked alongside Link, briskly making their way past the stairs they had come up to ascend even further. Now at the new floor, Alois blinked in surprise as he was greeted with a hallway of horse paintings. "Strange...yeah that's...we'll go with that, that's the word for this." As he continued to survey the area, he listened to Citron, shrugging as she made her suggestion. "Well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there?" Walking over to the end of the hall, the boy looked to an ornately decorated wooden door barring his path. Grabbing the knob to push the door open he found it locked, causing the boy to raise his eyebrow. "Interesting. Well," the boy walked back the way he came to the other door in the hallway. "Let's try door number two." ... "Also locked. Great." Alois, couldn't help but feel something odd about this whole situation. He didn't really have much experience in living in a building that wasn't just one room that pretended to be three. As such, he wasn't sure if people would actually lock the doors of their own rooms, especially when all of two people lived here. And even if they had done it before Cat had come here in expectation of her company, but that would be the so called nobleman barring an actual princess from something she might want to see. Regardless it meant that the lord of the house either had something he didn't want outsiders to see or something that only he could see, even excluding his servant from that privilege. Letting out a sigh as he backed away from the door, the boy looked to his companions saying. "Well, we have two locked doors up here and no key. Well," took out his axe and waved it around, "but it makes a lot of noise so I'll save it for when we come back downstairs. So let's see what's behind door number three now." There was no actual door number three, and instead a parting in the walls that revealed yet more stairs. "Turns out theirs another layer to this guy's ego after all," he called back to the others as he ascended the stairs. Getting up the stairs he was met with a landing and...yet more stairs. A path to both the left and right. "First I went into an underground dungeon and now I'm going up to the spirits forsaken sky. This day just doesn't know when to end." As the trio ran into a pair of young girls, Tsetseg smiled brightly and waved to them as they had started talking with Cora. The duo seemed to want to play with Cora for the time being, but as they were in the middle of a job that had to wait. Tsetseg understood the pain of the young girls, knowing all too well the experience of having grown ups too busy with their job to play with her when she asked it of them. And yet, she could not side them. Walking over to them Tsetseg said, "hey hey girls. Nice to meet you, hi, I'm Tsetseg. And you girls seem like you're really cool, probably cooler than Acantha! But - but! Nothing is cooler then like, fighting for your tribe and protecting it from big old mean rock wyverns and big mean bandits and all that stuff and Cora does all of that!" Tsetseg emphatically declared this. "So she's like super cool but if she doesn't get Acantha then she'll be less cool! And that wouldn't be cool! Oh but, but! We're all still going to be in the village and walking around that where trouble's afoot and stuff, so what if we all played while we were walking!"
  3. Ryia grit her teeth, trying her best not to let out any more then grunts of pain as her body was being crushed against the wall of light behind her. Try as she might to push against the foe that was much larger in scale then her, all she could really do was hold out as she could her arm being pushed further against her chest, threatening to try to cave in her armor. That wasn't even something in her control either, and so within the pain she had a strange mix of confused frustration in how helpless she felt yet everything was still going according to how she had planned it. Eventually, the next part of her plan was seen put into motion as both Lindow and Reinaan had charged its underside and managed to wound the creature. Ryia wasn't able to tell exactly what they were doing from her position, but whatever it was it caused the scorpion to give up on their little struggle, as Ryia fell back to ground once their assault had begun. With a thud she hit against the dirt again, and like last time, she tried to slowly get herself back up to a standing position. Only this time she felt that her shield arm and back roar out in protest of her movement. Grunting in pain again, wincing as she did her best to stand up, she could not get up faster than the light mage was able to get over to her. Half standing now, the girl tried to catch her breath and look over to the combat, but instead had her attention taken by Madelyn. Feeling a bit embarrassed about the situation now, and like she perhaps hadn't come up with the brightest solution, she said, "um, uh...ow, sorry. It was all I could - " the girl winced in pain, cutting herself off again. She wanted to rush back towards the fight but she wasn't sure how much use she'd be and so in what felt like a frustratingly familiar situation decided to leave the ending of the fight to both the Thunder and Fire Chosen as Madelyn tended to her. Seeing Damien walk over, obviously no longer in the claws of the shelled creature, she said, "oh um, I'm glad that you're, uh, that you're good." Looking back to Madelyn again, she said, "oh um, sorry also, about yelling." Her expression then turned to a small smile as she added, "but thank you. For the barrier."
  4. Though Chester had ordered a cease and desist from the Staryu in front of him, the Strayu had seemed to not pay any heed to this. Glaring at him, the starfish pokemon charged him, knocking Chester back a bit as he wasn't sure what to make of a star shaped entity charging him. "Ow! What - why did you- Listen! Just - " As Chester was trying to call this Staryu to order once more, he suddenly saw a swarm of leaves strike the pokemon. Looking to see that it had come from Marv, the Chespin blinked in surprise. "How on Earth - um, well done Marv!" Chester had genuinely no idea how the Treecko had figured out how to do that but he was certainly thinking in the proper way. In a similar vein, the Chespin yelped in surprise, astonished as the Rotom had appeared right next to him. Only to be equally surprised as it fired off a thunder shock at the water type. Though, he figured it probably came naturally with Rotom being nothing but lighting...however natural even working a body like that came to begin with. As the Staryu vanished, Chester found no end to his surprises, his head trying to race through all the knowledge of pokemon he had saying, "I believe they do? But that hardly seemed like what I would have expected from a Teleport. That was more like what you would expect from a common random enemy. Well, I suppose that would line up with - Hey!" Chester cut himself off as the Clobbopus had started to walk off further down the hall while everyone else was still remaining in their current room. "What did I just say about going off on your own! Why does nobody believe in sticking together, I swear," the Chespin grumbled the second part as he quickly followed after the other pokemon, trying to make sure they wouldn't end up too split off from the rest of the group.
  5. "Ah, the inquisitive type I see. Well, glad to see a kindred spirit amongst you all," though he seemed fine with the pace and content of Percy's questions, as the man moved closer with his overbearing and looming figure Rumian couldn't help but step a few paces faster for a moment. "Of course we were expecting you." Luca's eye grew excitedly as she pointed to Sabrina saying, "you guys are heroes after all! We have all sorts of stories and stuff how Outlanders blessed by the Goddess Ocean will save us from the Great Curse!" "More or less." Rumian followed up. "It's a story passed down from generation to generation so, well, we don't know when you were supposed to come, just that you were supposed to come when the bells ring at our church. Luca was only there when you all were because of her diligence. And dumb luck." "Hey!" "As for the description we were given, well, it's exactly what you might expect. You're supposed to be outlanders who only bear the blessing of Ocean, so naturally you'd look pretty distinct from everyone else right?" Rumian pointed to his own antlers and then to Percy's head as if to explain the subject. "Where I got it from is simply my notes- well, not my notes. The notes of scholars beforehand. They're rewritten by each generation of scholar but each one seems fairly sparse on any real details. All we know is the basics of your task, that you're not from here, that you have a brand on your hand and that you lack any of the distinct features of our people." Before he got to the next question, Luca looked to Rumian asking, "what's a 'Subway Conductor?' Is that a kind of hero?" Rumian looked as clueless as the girl on the subject. Looking back to Marshall, pride clearly evident on her face she said, "my duties as the chief are to be in charge! I tell people what to do and help them decide on stuff! Delegation!" The girl then thought about the other questions for a moment before saying, "you can beat the Accursed because you're heroes. Heroes of the highest grade!" She parroted Sabrina, still happily smiling. "And all heroes come with magic weapons and powers!" Rumian nodded, seemingly finding that answer satisfactory enough before saying, "as for the Accursed. Well, I only know of one of them. I'm sure I'll be able to go into more detail once we're at Luca's house." As the gang walked into the town proper, as if to answer one of Percy's earlier questions everyone, he would see others milling about their business, all with features of other mammals on their otherwise humanoid body. Luca smiled and waved to them, them responding in kind, though the group was definitely met with some looks of bewilderment, curiosity and joviality as whispers could be heard being directed at them. And then the thunder rumbled again. And then again. Luca's ears perked up and twitched at the second rumbling. Her excited expression broke way into a more concerned one as she said, "that's not thunder." Her ears twitched again and her expression turned more serious, as she stopped in place and turned. Then, without another word the girl broke into a full sprint. The townsfolk, seeming to see this urgency in the girl's expression all had concern cover their faces as well as they swiftly left the streets and seemed to head into their own homes. "Luca!" Rumian shouted out, though she had already run off. Worry clear on his own face he said, "oh this can't be good. Um, excuse me, Exalted. You, well, uh I know you all just got here and all but she might be in trouble but well I - if you, if you could make sure she's alright? Please?" And thunder rumbled.
  6. Alois, who had headed the charge into the house, had stopped almost immediately as the servant of the noble came tumbling down the stairs. "Well, there's the reception I was expecting." Alois didn't move to actually help Hanikap, thinking of his fall as some kind of karmic retribution, and just looked back as the others started to walk over as well. With both Penelope and Gunther moving to distract him, Alois simply made his way past the house keeper and up the stairs behind Citron, giving a thumbs up to the duo. He was greeted with the sight of two others who seemed to be raiding Gaston's office. Alois raised an eyebrow as he saw that Link seemed to be a member of this duo, wondering when he actually set out to go here and why the two were even up here to begin with. Of course, Alois wasn't going to question them on this because he was about to do the exact same thing but he couldn't help but wonder if they were already tipped off to the, entirely unsurprising, news that the faux nobleman was up to no good or if this was just something they liked to do in their pastime. Shrugging, the boy then smiled saying, "well, buddy system is it? Guess Ladle Lady and I will tag in and you two can tag out then. Just, first, I'm not gonna ask why the two of you are already up here. Just, the asshole of the house, have you seen him yet?" Link gestured to Rohns. "Edrick should stay with you. I already have my buddy," he said. Alois looked down, blinking in a small amount of surprise yet with his expression being nonplussed. "Oh, the dog is here too," the boy muttered. Then a ghost of smirk broke on Link's stoic face for the briefest moment. "Gaston is in the room at the far end of the next hall. I hear he had a terrible run in with some 'knave waving his bill about' or something." Alois snorted as he held back a laugh at that, saying, "well, that's just terrible, really. And here I thought my home town was the model of safety." After his sarcastic remark, giving something of an approving look to Link, he then said, "well, team Country it is. Let's get searching gang," and with that, Alois moved to the halls Link had directed them to explore. Tsetseg was glad to see that the militia woman was going to join them on their journey, saying, "woo hoo! The three of us and all our friends will get to the bottom of whatever those bad people are doing, mhm. Oh and no, no, there's no second witch no siree. The weird spooky dark magic user from earlier is also gone so there's even less maybe witches!" The girl stopped as she thought more about it, a small annoyed frown appearing on her face as she said, "oh, oh, but there is a second wyvern. That's no good, but it also helped Timmie which was good but...hmmmm....well there's no witch!" Her spirits back to the high they were at moments ago, the girl then turned around getting ready to head back to the noble's house.
  7. Sitting down and grabbing a rice ball for herself, Fen couldn't help but smile with clear joy as she was complimented for her meal. Going to eat the food herself, she let out an, "ooh," in surprise as she bit into it. "Blueberry...what an amazing fish, I've got to go find a vendor that sells this later." With curiosity, the girl took another, eating it as well and only being more surprised yet still turning her attention towards as Melissa started to speak. Fen put a hand to her chin as she thought about a standard set of information they could talk about each other with, only to run into the same roadblock she had with Julian earlier. Her attention was then turned to the Slakoth, as Melissa also asked about what to do with it. Trevor's idea was to keep it as a mascot, and Fen figured that might be something that Julian would enjoy so it wasn't a bad idea by any means. As he spoke about what they would say to the reporter girl more specifically, Fen let out a bit of a chuckle. "Well, uh, that's all well and good but speaking from the heart on the fly uh. Well it comes easier to some then others," the girl gave an understanding look to Melissa before looking back to Trevor. "More than that though uh, well, there's not much to speak about? Julian asked me if I knew anything uh, "spicy," about you all and I couldn't think of anything. Really, even with mild stuff I'm kind of struggling. Like well," the girl mulled it over for a moment. "I guess what I'm saying is that we need to know each other more before we have anything to say, from the heart or otherwise." Thinking for a moment longer the girl then remembered something. "Oh right, talking points! Or uh, I mean, something to give reporters and stuff. Apparently all of the groups like ours have team names and a team leader. So that's something we can figure out to give them. And, if we're keeping uh, them," she gestured in the direction of the Slakoth, "I guess a name for them too?"
  8. Lana paid no attention to either of the thanks that were given to her, already ready to get to running to the next skeleton. As Estelle now seemed to be being harried by two of them, Lana had charged directly towards the one to her south. With her great axe readied, seeing the skeleton getting closer to her, Lana brought up the weapon and held it parallel to the ground. Shouting, "Estelle watch out!" the girl charged past the noble wizard and twisted grip on the weapon, causing the axe head to turn as it smashed into the rib cage of the skeleton. Bones shattered and splintered as the skeleton was pushed back from the attack, Lana herself coming to a stop as both recovered from their charges. Once the skeleton had gotten over the recoil of having its ribs smashed, it started to make its way towards Lana with both arms outstretched. Still close to Estelle and not wanting to acidentally kill her on the back swing of the weapon, Lana let go of her axe with one hand and unsheathed her hand axe yet again. As the skeleton moved towards her, the girl swung her axe and in a vertical arc shattered the skull of the skeleton. Weaker, now that it was missing some bones and its head, it continued to reach towards Lana to grab at her. This time one of its arms to met the same fate as its head as the girl brought her hand axe blade into the shoulder of the monster, severing the arm from it. Weaker still, the creature still kept moving, grabbing at the arm that was holding her great axe. Her annoyance still prevalent on her face, the girl jerked her arm back before saying, "I keep telling you to get off of me!" With that, she smashed hand axe against the second shoulder of the skeleton, causing the entire rest of the bony enemy to fall apart. Letting out a sigh of relief the girl looked towards the others saying, "please be the last of them."
  9. With the crab declawed and Damien currently in a much more safe position then before, it seemed that the crab was running out of options to fight back with. But, they still needed to find a way to break through the hardened shell of it in order to actually finish off the dangerous water scorpion. Though Reinaan seemed to have an idea on how to attack it, actually attacking the underside of the swift scuttling creature was easier said than done. Though Keres seemed to have an idea on how to accomplish this, the idea itself seemed incomplete as she was the target of the creature's charge. Ryia's thoughts started to race as to how to accomplish this; she wasn't fast enough or dexterous enough to cleave off its legs and bring it to a halt. And she wasn't strong enough to bring it to a stop with a strike of her mace. Any direct confrontation she would certainly lose against the huge scorpion. All she could do was simply use her shield to defend against whatever it could bring. And that would be what she did. Rushing forward, the girl interposed herself between Keres and the monster, readying her shield as it started coming towards her. Her plan, in addition to preventing Keres from being trampled, would be to simply block the charge and keep the creature pushing against her in a clash. Yet, as she thought of this she realized that the beast was enormous and if they were to meet head on it would simply send her flying and it would still keep running unimpeded. With nothing but open air behind her, she wouldn't be able to do anything about the creature's momentum and she'd be face down in the dirt...Unless... "Uh, Madelyn!" The girl's eyes were wide as a sudden thought had come to her. "Barrier, behind me, please." "Excuse me? Don't you mean front?" "Behind!" "Fine, don't have to shout!" Madelyn shouts. "Don't blame me if anything breaks." Ryia didn't really have time to process her need for an apology and given how the water scorpion had interacted with magic before she wasn't even sure if it would hold. Yet all she could do, as the wall of light formed behind her, was dig her feet into the ground. And as the beast made its way towards her, she jabbed her shield forward to meet it head on. Thunk. "Gah-" Ryia's grunt was cut short as her body was being pressed against the wall behind her, flickering and struggling to keep its form. Yet still the wall held and Ryia, pinned against it, was grunting and pushing against the large beast as it attempted to crush her between the wall and itself. As the momentum of its charge had seemed to be expended, the creature backed up. As it did, Ryia herself fell back to the ground and slowly stood back up. Looking at the monster Ryia smashed her gauntleted fist against the shield, the clanging of metal against metal being used to further provoke the creature. he creature charged her again, once more smashing into her shield and body and pressing her against the wall. Though the wall seemed to be giving from the force of the charge, it still held as Ryia continued to occupy the creature and keep it in place.
  10. As the group got their answers and seemed poised to head out, River smiled and watched as they go. And if there were no more questions to be had from her at that moment, she would look to both Percy and Sabrina, the last in the room saying, "well, I would hardly want to get in the way or your conversations with the locals. If you ever have anymore questions for me, though, simply call and I shall do my utmost to answer them." The girl's form then took on a shimmer, before her entire body turned to water and faded into the air. Meanwhile, Luca's eye continued to look past Jocelyn as more and more of the now Exalted were exiting from the church. The excitement in her eyes, the girl waved to everyone past them saying, "hiiii heroes!" As everyone then went on to give their own introduction, the wolf girl seemed to have her excitement blended with a sense of confusion. Looking to Rumian for answers the girl asked, "so, um, Rumi? They're all the Exalted, right?" "Well, look at them. They all match the description. Besides, this is how it's supposed to be." "I see, I see." The girl ruminated on it for a moment, before looking back excitedly again. "Well, hello there again heroes and uh, unlucky soon to be ones! If it's a walk around town you want then we're just your two to do it! Rumi! Let's introduce ourselves again!" The deer boy sighed as he said, "very well. They seem quite lost so, be sure to explain to them where we are too." Looking to the crowd, the boy smiled saying, "once again, I am Rumian, scholar of Aersinn." "And I am Luca! Chief of Aersinn! And you are all in Aersinn, the one and only town of Aerstroff! Land of Thunder and Fang!" The girl spread her arms wide, as if to motion for everyone to take a look, punctuated by another rumbling of thunder. As the group was now properly able to look around, outside of the church proper they would see more of the large town properly. The roads were mostly of dirty, some stone here and there. The houses all around them were entirely made of stone and wood as well, and none of the buildings they could see, save a few, were taller than a single story. The only exception to this were the large spires that seemed to be through various point of the ground, easily dwarfing any other building they could see. The church as well seemed to be taller than most buildings, if only a little, and at the top had a sign on it that read "Church of Awakening." Curiously, quite like the runes, it was written in a language that none of them had ever seen before and yet could perfectly understand. And thinking more on it, the two locals that had greeted them were definitely not speaking English and yet they had no issue in understanding them, and the other way around seemed to be true as well. The church seemed to be towards the edge of town, as if they were to look behind and to the sides of the building they would see a palisade wall. The rest of the town was a bit further away from the church as well, and as such to their sides they would be able to see various farmlands, some meant to cultivate vegetation and others livestock. Though most other people seemed to be far away, attending to their daily duties, and hadn't noticed them the group would notice something about the other townsfolk. While they couldn't make out specifics of form from distance, there were definitely some distinct differences from themselves, all of them having tails and some having horns. As Gene looked to the sky, he would be able to tell that there wasn't a single cloud that he could see. More, it was as if the sky itself was one enormous canopy of cloud. The immediate area around them did not seem to have the tell tale signs of black storm clouds, and instead simply being the dull gray of overcast. Rumian looked over to Gene saying, "oh, you have Thunder where you're from too? Well, that certainly makes one part easier to explain, but pay no mind to it. It is like the wind in how common an occurrence and noise it is and easily as harmless on most occasions." "As for where to go, JJ," Luca began before stopping, and thinking for a moment. "Hmmm....hmmmmmmmm..." The girl seemed to be mulling on it before finally drawing a blank. "Where are they supposed to go first? Hmm...and after I practiced this for so long - Oh! I know! My place! I have a bunch of stuff there I could show you and Rumian brings papers there all the time. If you have anything else you want to ask feel free to ask on the way though, I am Chief after all!" The girl puffed her chest out in pride as she turned to lead the group into the town proper.
  11. Fen put a hand to her chin as Aduain had passed on the cooking puck to her. She wasn't exactly sure how she felt about the fact that Aduain had taken these fish from a park, likely meaning they were more for display then free fishing, but her curiosity at the new and unfamiliar culinary endeavor before her made her ignore that. The girl went through her head and tried to figure out different ways to prepare fish, though with genuinely no knowledge of how the fish even tasted she wasn't sure what kind of flavoring would be best with it. To say nothing about what they had on hand to begin with. After thinking for a bit with her conditions in mind, the girl said, "well, I'd probably want to know what it is I'm working with first. So I'd just start with descaling and deboning it before trying it out raw. From there we can probably figure out what to do with it." Once Aduain had successfully finished the preparing the fish for consumption, the girl took a small piece and ate it. "It's...fruity? Strawberry?" The girl looked up, puzzled for a bit as she said, "well this is a first. I'm used to some creatures tasting like others - you'd be surprised how many things taste like Cockatrice - and maybe even some plants or vegetables. Usually not fruits though. Hm..." The girl tapped her chin again before looking to her fishy companion. "What are your thoughts on it?" Aduain listened intently as Fen spoke, saving his questions about Cockatrice for another time. The fruity fish had all of his attention. At his chef's invitation he excitedly cut a piece off and took to chewing on it to really get a sense for what he was dealing with. The strange sensation of fish flesh with an unmistakable strawberry flavor sent a visible shiver down the length of his body ending in him doing a little tap dance with his fins. "Woah, that's weird! All the fishy texture but none of the fishy taste! We could turn breakfast into a game of guessing the mystery flavor!" he said, cheerfully eyeing the other colors. Fen's eyes lit up as well at the suggestion of a guessing game. "Oh, that's a wonderful idea! Making it as exciting for them as it was us would be good, but, hmmm...They might think something's off with the fish if they know it's fish and see it's all different colors. So what if we made some rice balls and filled them with this fish?" "That's so sneaky. I love it! Though fair warning the only thing I really know how to do with rice is eat it. Might leave the delicate shape work to more experienced hands" Aduain laughed as he held his hands up and wriggled his fingers. Fen opened her hands and showed them to Aduain as she smiled, "well don't worry there. I've got some experience with this." With their plan set, the girl began thinking aloud. "Well, first we should boil some water for the rice which means..." The girl looked around the kitchen, taking stock of all that was there. Sheepishly she turned back to Aduain asking, "you wouldn't happen to know how to work these devices would you?" Once done the girl went outside saying, "oh, uh, everyone breakfast is ready." Bringing out plates of rice balls, the girl spread them out across the table, before putting a big bowl of rice with a rice paddle in it in the center. After properly setting the table and having everyone else get in, with a tone akin to that of a waiter the girl said, "good morning everyone. Today we, Aduain and I, decided to make rice balls with a fish filling. There isn't a whole lot to work with in the kitchen right now and I might've gotten a bit distracted by...the kitchen...so it's more of a snack then a proper meal. I'm sorry about that, but i made more rice if you need something else to fill you up. I hope you enjoy," the girl smiled and bowed, before standing up and expectantly waiting for everyone to eat, not seeming to take a seat herself.
  12. As Chester began to make his way down the corridor, he looked to the side of the wall and saw that Marv had taken to the capacities of his new body rather well. "Excellent work on figuring that out Marv," the Chespin congratulated him. He then looked to his own hand paws, trying to think of any special properties they may have had but realized how ridiculous that would be. As he was keeping to the middle of the group, keeping an eye on everyone, Chester eventually heard the escalating sounds of conflict going on up ahead. This was only confirmed by the now completely familiar feeling of someone talking in his head. The voice had affirmed what Chester had already thought on how to figure out what they could do as Pokemon and use that as a means of defense against whatever attackers were coming at them. He thought for a moment about what it was that he, as a grass starter, would be able to do in combat. The two primary moves he could think of were vine whip and absorb, yet Chester had no idea where such a whip would come from on his body. And he had no idea how absorb would even work to begin with. The Chespin tried to rationalize how these things would work in his head, yet with no progress getting made and his comrades still in trouble he decided to shove such thoughts to the side for the time being. Rushing into the room the others had gotten to, Chester saw that Z.m Hector and the Noibat were already engaged with one Staryu and saw a second one staring down the group. Chester, as a grass type, had the advantage against the Staryus. However Chester, as someone with no idea how to leverage being a grass type, was at a disadvantage here. So instead he relied on his sub standard de-escalation tactics. "Stop! We mean no harm to you and would very much appreciate not being harmed too!" Though his parley was lackluster, Chester's voice carried a certain weight to it, lessening the Staryu's ability to actually fight back.
  13. As Ryia continued to struggle against the pull of the large water scorpion, trying her hardest to not have her shield seized from her by the beast, she stumbled back as it suddenly let go. Seeing that Reinaan had managed to bury his blade into the joints of the creature, Ryia was slowly getting back to her feet as she watched the fight unfold before her. After taking an impact from a truly large source of water as well as having Damien follow up with a sword strike of his own, it had seemed the water scorpion was now one claw short. The girl then gripped her mace tighter as the crab had grabbed Damien, now threatening to crush him in its grip. Remembering what Reinaan and Damien had done moments prior, the girl ran up to one of the joints and swung her mace. The cracking of shell could be heard as it splintered and fragmented, exposing the softer part of its joint. Ryia's weapon wasn't well suited for cutting and to switch out to her sword would take time that she didn't want to give the scorpion. And so instead, she opted to leave this to someone more adept at it. "Its joint is open!" As she called this out, Reinaan had managed to overcome the dizziness he had been experiencing from being tackled by the large crustacean. And, as he got himself back to his feet, had managed to follow up on Ryia's call. With his halberd in hand he made his way over to the creature and delivered a big chop to its exposed joint. Though the claw still seemed to be attached to the arm, the creature was hurt enough that it had turned its attention to the Draken boy now. Seeing that it was moving to swing its claw, Ryia called, "Reinaan, look out," trying to her to interpose herself between the creature and Reinaan only to slip a little on the freshly muddied ground and being unable to get there in time.
  14. After Lana had managed to bring down the skeleton that was clawing at Robin, the girl turned around to see that the skeletons were now closing in on the two mages of the group. To her other side Chris also seemed to have two skeletons closing in on him, but she figured he was slippery enough to deal with them without issue, and so without saying a word to anyone the girl simply let out a shout as she ran and charged towards the other group. With one skeleton approaching Ziun, nearly atop him, the girl managed to close the distance just in time. Hefting up her greatxe, with a grunt of exertion, the girl swung the weapon straight towards the skeleton's head. The head shattered upon impact, leaving the skeleton headless and paused as her blade ended up cleaving through it. With a confident smile on her face, Lana said, "take that!" Before she could think of what to do next, however, the body turned to now face her. Shocked, the girl let out an, "eh?" as the skeleton, with both arms raised, started to make its way towards. Not wanting her face to have more claw marks across it, Lana started to back away hurriedly. Bringing her axe in an upward arc now, the girl smashed the blade into the ribs of the creature, knocking it away from her and causing it to stumble a bit. Though unsteady on its feet, the skeleton didn't seem ready to stop just yet and continued to hobble towards Lana. "Just die! Again!" With a shout, the girl swung her axe into the opposite side of the skeleton, causing its form to scatter into a spread of bones. Taking a deep breath, to right her annoyance, the girl then moved to go assist the mages more.
  15. As Alois was greeting the others, he looked back as the princess tried to squeeze past him, the boy shifting his body a little so that she could more easily squeeze past him. As Penelope went to question Gunther about what was troubling him the boy mimicked her own reaction, sighing, as he learned that Catriona was likely to be in trouble at the present time. Though Gunther was continuing to speak with the princess, Phaidra took his attention as she explained to him what was happening. "He pushed Timmy into a pit?" A bit dumbfounded at this, Alois said, "well that's more brazen then I would've expected." With Gunther finishing explaining the situation to Penelope, he saw the smile on her face as she had begun to ask for his assistance. Returning it with a mischievous grin of his own, he said, "well I'm sure he won't mind a broken door or anything anyway. He's got more than enough money to fix it, in fact this would just be an excuse for him to show it off. Really we'd be doing him a favor." He said this both to the princess and also because his mother was in ear shot, she herself having declared that she would go and inform the mayor. Alois, not wanting to draw her ire or disapproval for what they were about to do decided to hold back any and all comments regarding the great and glorious leader of his quaint, humble village. "You sure did hear right," the boy addressed Citron. "We're going to a lovely manor in the middle of town. I'll lead the way and well, feel free to bring Strawberry along." After a bit of walking, Alois looked over towards the mansion seeing another familiar face there. "Right. Looks like trouble never comes in moderation." Casually walking up he just said, "hey Ciela fancy meeting you here, oh would you look at that the door is closed shut." Alois made his way over to the clearly open door and kicked it before walking inside. "Oh would you look at that, we've been invited right in how considerate. But no one to greet us, what kind of a noble is this man, I swear." Alois mockingly shook his head. Tsetseg nodded as Sienna had made mention of looking for Licorice. "That's right, family and friends are very important. So, good luck! Hope you find her soon!" With that, the girl waived off the fox protean as she had hurriedly made her way out of the village. The girl then awaited for Phai to leave as well, smiling to everyone else as she followed after the girl. It didn't take much time for them to make their way over to Cora's house, and as Phai called out for the militia girl, there was another couple waiting outside. As the man asked them about what they were doing here, Phai answered first. Tsetseg, not feeling the nerves that Phai was and in fact unfailingly smiling at the two, nodded along. "Yeah, yeah. There's some some bad stuff and mean people probably in this town and so we were going to go and stop it. But we wanted more help to go and stop the bad people so we came here, because Cora's super nice and friendly and like part of the town's patrol and it's the patrol's job to stop bad people. So yeah. Oh I'm Tsetseg, nice to meet you!"
  16. I've never been one to gravitate towards axes but slowly I am becoming the axe guy. Bounty Hunter.
  17. Ryia had continued to back away from the water's surface as the dark spot had been moving forward. As Madelyn chided her for poking at it, a bit flustered she answered, "s-sorry, I just thought, well ya know uh..." The girl wasn't really sure how best to articulate her thoughts with the imminent threat of the unknown facing her down. And as the unknown had burst forth and became fully know, the girl was left speechless save for a simple, "oh no...not more of them..." For what had come to greet them was no less than a water scorpion. While it did not have the tell tale tail of the scorpions she had encountered in the desert, thankfully, it seemed no lesser in size and perhaps it possessed even larger claws. Not to mention the brilliant armor of trinkets that seemed to adorned what she figured was an already tough to crack carapace. As she readied her mace and shield, the girl noticed that Keres had done little to back away from the lake proper. And with the creature right there, it seemed primed to go and snatch her away in its large claws. With some panic in her eyes the girl got ready to go into a full sprint towards her to pull her out of the way, only for her panic to turn into surprise. Lindow had rushed past her to safely escort Keres away. The girl knew that he was fast, faster than anyone else in the group for sure, but she didn't remember him being this fast. While she wondered what was going on, the girl had got back to her senses as Lindow had moved to strike the creature only for his blade to harmlessly bounce off of the creature. As she suspected, this water scorpion's shell was certainly tough to crack. As he made his way away from the beast, it seemed to turn its attention towards her, now scuttling over to Ryia. Trying to keep its attention on her she figured she'd meet it halfway. As the two moved towards each other, the creature brought up its claw and was primed to swing it. Ryia had seen what little effect Keres's water had on it. Theorizing that it had something to do with the magic of the forest and being a natural part of it, Ryia figured she would have little success with using her own earth wall to protect herself from the attack. And so, doing what she could do to avoid the attack, she dove and rolled to the side the claw thrusting from, and with the clumsiness of the swing itself, she had managed to avoid the attack. Though she was preparing to go in to strike it more, the creature had begun shifting itself around to face her. With their proximity to both Keres and the water, Ryia had figured it was a better idea to draw it away from one or the other. And so, backing away from the monster, she awaited its next move only to notice that whatever sluggishness it had had prior to the fight it had gotten over. Charging at her with new found alacrity, and with the water at her side, she figured that trying the same evasive maneuver would end disastrously. And so, the girl had resolved meet the creature yet again, hoping to be able to deter its attack to give her an opening to either strike or reposition. Of course, past experiences with these creatures and the sheer size of it in general had told her that she wouldn't win in a straight clash. "M-Madelyn, uh it's next attack - er some help with it please." "Very well, if I must." With the aid of the light mage, a barrier of light was formed poised to intercept the creature's claw. However, as the water scorpion had closed in on her, Ryia noticed the barrier begin to distort and flicker. And, with what seemed to be little effort, the monster's claw shattered the barrier almost as soon as it had impacted against it. Eyes going wide with realization, the girl was left with little option to but to attempt to stand her ground, putting up her shield to defend against the attack. Wincing at the impact of the claw, she managed to hold fast against it, only to realize that it wasn't done. With its claw gripping onto her shield, attempting to pull it away, Ryia muttered. "oh, no, no not again." Pulling back against the grip of the creature, the girl started to bash her mace against the claw as she hastily, with some panic and strain in her voice, shouted out, "uh, magic doesn't work!"
  18. Fen had thought there would be a good deal of people who would be interested in what kinds of food her fellows enjoyed, herself most included. Her line of thinking hadn't gotten very far though, as the woman had grabbed at her wrist and inputted something into the magical device that rested there. Seeing the name "Julian" alongside her fellow problem solver's names, in a list called "Contacts," the girl looked curiously at it only to be assured by the woman, presumably Julian, that its purpose was as self explanatory as it looked. "Oh uh, thanks. I'll be sure to get back to you if I...hear something?" With Julian being done with her questioning, at least for now, Fen herself still only now realized how little she actually knew about the people she was working with. She wasn't exactly sure what would be "spicy" information she would give up, but the fact remained that she had none to begin with. Yet her attention was taken by something else as she heard Aduain shout out about finding breakfast. As she was ready to go look at the strange fish Aduain had shown off, and Julian seemed to be ready to leave as well, Fen began to walk over to the kitchen only to look over to Trevor, who had come downstairs. "Oh, her name is Julian. She's a reporter of some sorts and was looking to interview us. She's fairly enthusiastic and interested in us, so if you have the time, feel free to speak to her." After giving her explanation Fen, bright eyed, made her way for the kitchen. Looking excitedly at the rainbow fish, the girl said, "oh, I've never seen one like this before." She briefly wondered if it was something like the monsters they had been fighting up to this point, but realized that if it were dead and here then instead it must've been local. While it was obvious that this world was a host of strangeness and oddities the implications of what that would do to her culinary world hadn't hit her until just this realization. "Where did you find it? Was it particularly dangerous? Oh, do you have any fish like this where you're from too...I wonder if fish from my world would be here too..." As the girl's barrage turned into her own mulling, she paused for a moment before giving an embarrassed smile. "Um, oh, sorry I got a little carried away there. But well, ahem, if you need any help preparing breakfast I'd be glad to lend my help."
  19. The young girl looked curiously over to the boy who had made note of what the term she used referred to. Letting out a short chuckle, the girl said, "my Lady does have something of a sense of humor, though the term was not of her own creation. It was merely by the local's own beliefs that the term came into being. Though your fates were unfortunate you are now here blessed by her grace." As the girl was ready to keep speaking, she was interrupted by the continued frustration of the white haired girl. "Ah...Well, you see..." The dragon girl was about to inform her of where that door lead to, but wasn't able to speak much in time. Turning back to Sabrina she said, "but yes. Ultimately, you are meant to bring salvation to the world beyond." She gestured over to the now open door. As Jocelyn had noted there was a black haired girl with wolfen ears and tail standing not too far outside the church. In fact, she had almost seemed to be expecting something to come from that door, and her bright beaming smile had shown that her anticipation had been well answered. Jumping up and down a bit she shouted, "Rumi! Rumian! Look, look! They came, they're here! I was right!" Walking down a side path now coming into view from Jocelyn's church door view, there was a boy garbed in the same kind of hide garment of a cowl around his neck and shoulders, pants and a long sleeve shirt. His skin was equally as fair as hers and he seemed to be the same age, if only slightly older. More curiously, his ears were curved like a deer's and he as well had antlers protruding from his head. Looking even closer at the two now and comparing them, the wolf girl appeared to be wearing shoes yet the boy simply had hooves. And whereas his hands were naked the wolf girl's wore gloves. "If you keep trying every time the bell rings it's not exactly impressive when you're right." He looked over to the door, his eyes narrowing as he examined the girl there, and then with a bit of wonder taking over his expression he said, "not a single feature out of place." "I know right!" The girl then made a beeline for the door, getting extremely close to Jocelyn. Her face beaming she said, "oh, you're here, you're here! I kept checking every time and just like the legend said when the bell rang, you guys appeared! Oh - I - I've been thinking about this for so long that - uh, sorry I'm uh, uh...Rumian!" "Calm yourself, first." The boy walked close behind her, though not being nearly as invasive. "Hello outlanders, my name is Rumian." "And I'm Luca! And you guys must be the heroes from the legends right?" Looking past Jocelyn's figure and seeing even more people behind her, Luca's expression only grew more cheery as she looked back right into Jocelyn's eyes. And then, the rumbling of thunder could be heard.
  20. Lana had opted to not charge forward into the crowd of skeletons, instead waiting for some kind of boom to destroy the horde so as to make her job easier. And while there was no such explosion to happen, she was able to clearly see all the magics and attacks in action. Lana was ever fascinated by the use of magic and while Ziun's magic, on paper, sounded a lot less interesting to her then Estelle's she found herself in wonder at the display of illusions. She, quite like the skeleton it was distracted, was curiously watching the illusion moved though as a loud bang had come out she snapped back figuring out what to do next. Looking for the source of the noise, she saw the smoking gun from Robin, and looked to see that one of the archer skeletons had its arm blown off. She still wasn't exactly sure how these gun things worked but they were certainly cool in their own right. Lana had her axe at the ready, ready to charge into the fray now that the skeletons had been distracted and an initial volley of attacks had weakened them. However, because she hadn't already been in the fray, as she was getting ready to bolt, she managed to catch something she otherwise wouldn't have. A skeleton had climbed out of the fog, directly in front of robin. And so, instead of throwing herself at the undead, she instead looked to aid the one most directly in need of it at the moment. Another one? Crawling out of the fog! Robin felt ashamed of herself; this was rookie mistake #1. Furthermore, the one she had shot just earlier was coming in her direction. Dealing with the one right next to her was priority number one, though! Robin pulled the next gun from her belts, firing it at the skeleton's jagged, bony hand. The bullet had fired true and managed to both cause the skeleton to recoil backwards as well as blowing part of its skull off. Lana, still impressed at firearms, began running towards the skeleton. While the girl defaulted to large arcs with her weapon, though with Robin so close by she didn't want to accidentally bisect her new team member. Remembering how else she had used her axe previously in her training session with Joan, the girl jabbed the axe's head into the ribs of the creature. Cracking its bones and forcing it further way from the gunslinger girl, Lana then let out a shout as she brought her axe up and smashed the blade into the creature's head. A smile on her face, Lana looked to see that her victory would be short lived as the previously arrow shooting skeleton had made its way over into striking distance of her. Recovering from her own swing, Lana didn't move from the foe as it went to swing its bow at her arm. The girl was expecting it to her hurt, but her eyes went wide with surprise at the sheer force of the attack, letting out an, "argh - ow, ow ow ow ow. You -" Frustrated, the girl turned her axe blade and swung it in upward arc from the ground, breaking off part of its jaw. As the axe blade was coming back down, the skeleton opted to go for a more visceral approach as it dropped its bow and grabbed the girl's face. Feeling the claws sinks into her flesh, Lana shouted, "get. Off. Of. Me!" Letting go of her axe with one hand, she used that now free hand to grab a hand axe from her hip and shatter the skeletal arm. With the claw falling to the ground, frustration clear on her face Lana buried her hand axe into the creature's skull, causing it to fall and no longer be animated. "So much for not getting hit as much."
  21. Chester, for his part, was also confused at the sudden ordering of the group as they had come up the stairs. From what he had seen they did in fact walk up the stairs in a spread of eight people side by side. Yet, somehow, that was how they ended up when they arrived here. On top of that, as he looked up trying to understand how this had happened at all, he realized that there were no stairs to speak of. His growing confusion at the situation was brought to a halt as a, what he could swear was, familiar voice had spoken out to them. Well, spoken wasn't quite right as this was more messaged directly into his head, a feeling that he was becoming uncomfortably familiar with in this short span of being a pokemon. But, as it had turned out they were in some sort of Mystery Dungeon and were likely to encounter hostile pokemon as well. Chester was familiar with the genre of game himself, much to his surprise in fact, and had a general understanding of how these things worked. And things were certainly lining up with his understanding, though here actually experiencing them as reality he had been unsettled by things he had taken for granted as general game mechanics. As Clobbopus had spoken up about the situation with dangerous pokemon, Chester spoke up agreeing with the Noibat. "We certainly do have numbers advantage, and just think back not moments ago. Without a single move we had managed to work together to push such a large and heavy object a distance. So surely we have the strength to at the very least ward off anything that would try and hurt us. But it's true we are at a great disadvantage not knowing anything about what we can do as pokemon." Chester had a general idea of what it was that each of them could theoretically do, moveset wise. But he had no idea how a pokemon actually did what they did. If he were to have an attack such as Mega Punch, would he simply have to clench his fist and punch really hard or was there some deeper thought process to it? And with Razor leaf, where did the leaves even come from, never mind how were they fired at such high speeds to begin with. As the world around them had seem to coincide with that of a game's were they also bound by similar rules with their moves? Did they have both a set number of times they could use it and could they only know a set number at once? "Well, all the same, none of us seemed to be an evolved pokemon in any way. So, perhaps it would be safe to say that we should stick to the basics of attacks for now. Like, Scratch, Pound, Tackle. Those sort of things." The Chespin walked forward, not going past Clobbopus as he looked back to everyone else. Though Chester was as curious as anyone as to what was ahead he still had his job as mod to fulfill, however meaningless it might've sounded under the current situation. Which meant he had a duty to keep things orderly and keep the well being of all the community members in mind, which to that end made him stand in the middle of the group. Here he would have the best position to view everyone at once. Of course, Z. and Noibat had already gone beyond where he could see but as a former mod Chester had faith in Hector to see to their safety as well.
  22. Tsetseg tapped her chin for a moment as Rocky had asked for context, thinking back on all that had happened since they arrived here. "Hm, hm, hm. Well...So, so see," the girl had started her long winded explanation. "When we first got here we were gonna go ask people about stuff but then, there weren't people and just animals instead. Lots of animals like dogs, badgers, beavers - oh yeah yeah, before we got here we were also attacked by beavers. And so we looked allll around for people and found one and he was actually an animal the whole time, and so we kept looking and stuff. And so then someone was like, "let's go to the Mayor's house" so we did. Oh, oh we also met this really nice girl named Cora and she had a horse which I think was also a horse the whole time. And there was also another Isaurian who wet met before that and she had a really scary wyvern that was pink!" The girl exclaimed this emphatically, seeming to shudder at her recollection of her first encounter with Citron, her tone noticeably getting less excited as she recalled that specific part. Yet, it bounced back as she continued. "So then we were in the Mayor's house and then we had a fun scavenger hunt! So, like, the mayor did a whole bunch of carvings around the house and we had to find where and what they were! It was really fun but I couldn't really understand what it was we were looking for. Oh, I also made friends with a rat in the basement! There was also this door there and someone was like, "click click click" on the door and woosh it went open! And then there was a whole passage and a ladder and then we were in a building with a really big stone wyvern thing. And then it came to life and tried to kill us but we killed it first! And then we met all of you guys and that was all today." The girl nodded as she finished her story, pleased with her summary of the events. Once they had made their way over to Mene's house, Tsetseg listened to the woman and Timmy speak. As it had turned out, most of her companions that already weren't with her had gone to investigate the house of the baddies. Nodding to herself, thinking that something was afoot herself with no idea what that could possibly be. Still, she didn't seem too concerned as she said, "well, well, if it's Catry and Green Guy then they're probably all good. Those two are real cool and helpful and reliable and stuff. Mhm. But, but...hmm..." The girl's growing sense of curiosity was getting the better of her, and as Phai asked if she wanted to come along the girl smiled enthusiastically, "of course! The more people the better, especially when dealing with baddies." The girl nodded. "I've been sleeping outside for the past few weeks, I think I won't die of cold for a night," the boy joked back to his mother. Though, as he turned back to look at her, he had seen the folly in his timing as the woman didn't seem to be in a joking mood at the moment. Though now feeling slightly awkward as she went to silently clean Alois attempted to still push through the atmosphere as he looked to Penelope. "Well excuse me, not every house can have a treasure hunt or living statue in it. I'm sure there's a book or two I never returned in here though, if you're really itching to kill the time." As Citron made her second comment, Alois felt a twitch in his brow as if annoyed for some reason by what she said, and then moved out of the way of his mother as she made way to clean outside. Letting out a sigh of relief as she did so, the boy feeling a weight lifted as she did so, he muttered, "oh man I did not miss those moments." Looking back to Citron he addressed her last comment saying, "well, if what you just saw was anything to go by no one's going to be sleeping outside tonight. Even if we all have to pack in only here in one big sleeping bundle or something. And we might have some ink lying around here, maybe around town or something I don't know. I've never need to write much of anything." The boy's ears perked up though, as he could hear through the walls something outside. "Well, looks like we don't have to go far to find trouble here. Go figure." Opening the door he looked out to see a large group of people, most of whom were not part of the party he came into this town with. "Well, you guys look like you've made some friends," he spoke to his companions. Giving a wave he said, "hey Timmy. They didn't have to fish you out of some hole did they?" And to the other he examined her and smiled saying, "and Phai, well that's surprising. I didn't think you knew what end to swing a sword from when I left." Though his usual snark came through, Alois couldn't help but feel happy for the always earnest girl and said, "but well, good job." Clearing his throat, he looked to the third newcomer he paused and furrowed his brow in confusion. "This is third one today." Once Penelope had made it outside he turned to her. "We - my town - it borders Galtea right?"
  23. Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo's Dungeon Xenoblade Chronicles Sonic and the Secret Rings Okami
  24. Chester's eye twitched a bit as he repeated the phrase, "fake internet cop?" His frustration on his face from the expression was very evident, and in fact one could briefly hear him muttering about his trials and tribulations on a daily basis at high speeds if they were paying attention, but he managed to recollect himself before paying attention to the other part of what Z. had said. "Oh, so there was a door back there then? Well, all the better! I'm sure this pillar will prove invaluable if ever we have to come back here!" Chester hit his fist against the stone column, pride and a twinge of pain on his face he did so. He had no idea how this cave was outlined even remotely, and no idea why a locked door would be here as well. As such, there was no guarantee that they would ever come back to this door and truthfully Chester was very much hoping that they would be able to get their bearings in wherever it was they were without much adversity. Though, with some of the people and the strange situation they were in in general, there was no shortage of adversity to go around to begin with. All the same, he said, "so, well, let's all move out! Together!" He had emphasized that last part, full well knowing that there were already those that were either not going to listen to him or had already blazed ahead. Yet nevertheless, Chester wore his fake internet cop badge with pride and would try to act as at least try to bring some sense of order and teamwork to their motely crew. As he began to walk away, he stopped himself. "Oh, right." Turning around, the Chespin, with some degree of effort, managed to lift the stray Falinks that had nearly hit him square in the head. "There we go. Right as rain. Good work in trying to weigh down the pillar, uh, Gamer? No...that's not quite - I'll work on it." Clearing his throat after speaking directly to FalinCs, he repeated, "onward!" And walked into the next room. The sight there was familiar to the one that they had just come from, being a cavernous room with water flowing through it. But this one had stairs as well! With luck they would find some answers in the room above. Though, Chester couldn't help but look past the water before ascending just to make certain there were no passages or the like beyond it. He was curious to get information quickly, but of course there was something within that told him that it was always important to check everything but the path of least resistance in a cave first before taking it. Assured that there was nothing of note and with some already on the staircase, Chester made his way onto them as well.
  25. "Eggs it is! Hector!" Lana shouted joyously as the time changed from introductions to actual meals. She seemed to get over her excitement of the new party members almost immediately once the meal was brought out and spared no time in digging in. Once all was said and done the gang left and made their way back into the dungeon proper. She didn't think anything of how they had started on the 10th floor with their new party members. Instead, the excitable nature of the girl seemed to be nowhere to be seen as they made their way onto the mist laden Floor 11. "Geh...." the girl could only mutter as she saw the horde in front of her. Lana's first instinct, of course, was to rush headfirst into danger as she had, knowingly and unwittingly alike, several times before. But with the horde as visible and clustered as they were, and thus the danger all the more apparent, she instead looked annoyed at the creatures from afar. As Chris started talking about how best to approach the situation at hand, Lana took the axe off of her back and rested the butt of it on the ground. "They still have to be alive even if they're dead right? Like, they're moving so," she rocked her axe forward. "Just a good wham and watching them explode into a million pieces should be good. But...ugh...trying to do that to all of them sounds like a pain and I'm trying to get less stabbed..." Her eyes lit up for a moment, seeming to get excited again as she looked over to the others of the group. "Oh, this sounds like a good time to blow them all up." Clearly excited to see some fireworks as she looked to Estelle, she then looked over to the bard saying, "or like, do some illusion stuff to uh...illusion them. And then we just run straight ahead, since that's gotta be where the stairs are right?"
