  1. As Fen went on her own path, separate from the others who were going to the room, she started to look around at what else the floor they were on had to offer. The first thing she noticed was something a humming noise coming from nearby. Specifically the room that seemed to be in the center of the floor. Walking over to it, the girl looked at the wall and was immediately intrigued by what was there, trying to figure out how to get inside. Sadly, though, there didn't seem any of an opening for her to get through and she didn't feel like making a big deal of it. Instead she walked further northward, which again she was met with a wall. Quite like the other room as well, there seemed to be a rectangular portion of the wall that seemed a bit different as well, only as Fen approached it something happened this time. "Eep!" The girl let out a surprised yelp as that portion of the wall had suddenly seemed to open on its own, taking a step back at the same time. As she did, she saw that there was indeed a room beyond the wall, but didn't take a step closer towards it, instead being content to simply look into it. However, she didn't get to look for long as the wall slid back, barring her from the entrance once again. Taking yet another step forward the wall, what she assumed now was a door, slid open once again. With trepidation, the girl stepped into the room before her, unsure of what to make of all of it. Immediately visible was something that she could make sense of. A round table with a few chairs and a floating glowing light above it. Done. Made sense to her. Next there was what appeared to be a large metallic box that she assumed was for storage, a large assortment of cabinets, drawers, a few other boxes that she didn't know the purpose of including two that appeared to be built into the counters themselves. One part of the counter seemed to have been dug out for this metal box to be place in it, with two knobs next to a large, curved metal tube that towered over the box. The second one seemed to be more an extension of the counter. Curious about it, the girl walked over, seeing what was also a series of metallic cylinders each barred off by a grate on top of it and series of nobs as well. The girl was curious, looking at each of them and seeing what appeared to be a symbol for fire, and the words "high" and "low" on the area around the knobs. She wasn't sure that messing with things in this room was the best course of action, but she couldn't help but feel innately curious too. And so, looking to either side as if she were about to commit some grievous crime, the girl grabbed the knob and turned it. A brief ticking noise was heard before one of the cylinders spewed out a sudden jet of fire. Fen, shocked once more, yet out another surprised yelp and backed away from the flame. The flame itself didn't seem to be dying down at all prompting the girl to put a curious hand to her chin. Walking back over to it, the girl continued to turn the nob, the flame increasing and decreasing in size depending on which was she turned it, before she finally turned it back to its original position and the flame died completely. Nodding to herself, she reasoned that this device was some strange fire magic generator of sort, definitely handy to have around. Looking down, seeing that the inside of the metal box was mostly hollow, she wondered if it also produced the flames inwardly, setting whatever that was inside on fire. "How horrifying." Looking around the rest of the room, the girl opened up a drawer only to see inside were utensils. Eating utensils more specifically. Blinking at the familiar looking object, the girl cocked her head to the side as she continued to open up more drawers and cabinets. Plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, pans, trays, pots, knives, spatulas, other utensils she had never seen before. The girl's eyes went wide, only for her to hurridley go over to a large door to what she presumed was a closet. It was stocked with food and ingredients. Lots of them too. It was at that moment the girl had finally put together all the pieces and knew where she was. Excited, the girl shouted, "it's a kitchen!"
  2. Tsubasa grinned as her leg managed to connect with the teacher's, not really paying any mind into how her actions may disrupted the others. Instead, as her legs swept back around, the girl bounded upward to get back into a standing position. The cat girl got ready to continue the pressure against their teacher, only for the women to comment on their current progress, of which Tsubasa didn't even realize that Rika had done what she done. She mentally congratulated the chameleon girl for her own actions, before standing still as the panda woman smashed through a wall. Whistling at the sight, Tsubasa's grin only widened on her face. "See guys! I told you bears were awesome." With that, Tsubasa charged out the hole in the wall, jumping straight down to the ground. Not waiting to coordinate with her team members once more, Tsubasa got into a running stance before sprinting towards her teacher. As she got close enough, Tsubasa dove forward. Landing on her hands, the girl spun around going for what looked like yet another leg sweep against her teacher. However, having some manner of instinct knowing that it would be bad to just keep doing the same move more than once against her teacher, she began to push up on her hands. As a result, rather than going for a low sweep, the girl angled herself and pushed her upward, turning her low kick into a high one against the panda's face.
  3. With the group beginning to recover, seeing that they had won, Fen began to realize something. After having defeated the enemies, not a trace of them were left. Which meant there were no more shark corpses around on the ground. Feeling somewhat disappointed that she wouldn't be able to try street shark, the girl's expression matched such feelings as she walked towards the others. As she did, the law enforcement of the city came to the scene to begin conducting whatever business it was that they needed to get done. Once they had passed the group, Fen simply followed along with the others going to what Salvo referred to as a "bus." The girl was still marveled at the transportation that brought them there even as she got off of it. Sure, she had been on trains before and she had been in carriages as well. In reality, this was just some kind of cross between the two, but the trains themselves had always been something that Fen thought were magnificent. And this was smaller, didn't require rails and there were so many of them too. Wonder had yet to cease in Prana, and upon entering the building they were supposed to be living in, it didn't seem like they were slowing down. The girl was firstly taken about how starkly blue the room was. Taking a bit of time for her eyes to adjust, the girl's eyes instantly went to the green table in the center of the room that Salvo herself seemed to be walking towards. The girl was then in wonder by the wrist devices that she gave them, listening to all of the different functions that it had with mild disbelief. Even as far as magic devices went, having that many functions that seemed generally unconnected to each other seemed fairly impossible to her. Even with more ancient magics involved, the girl couldn't really fathom how it all worked, starting to fiddle around with the device and tapping at it all the while. The girl looked up at the sound of someone new joining the crowd, blinking a bit in some amount of disbelief at the person noting what it was that they were. She had her experience with undead and zombies in the past but none as coherent as the one before her. They were all incredibly aggressive and the only intelligence she had ever noted from them was that which was useful to kill. None of them spoke like this and certainly none of them were any bit nearly as friendly as she was. So the girl didn't seem like a threat or anything and everyone else had already seemed to be talking with her well enough. Aduain himself seeming to be from the same world as her. Yet she still couldn't help but be a bit wary, especially as she went over her somewhat grotesque method of healing herself and her slightly unnervingly slower - but not slow - way of talking. All the same as it seemed the group was ready to head to their rooms, with being inclined to follow along. It wasn't as though she was looking to get ready to sleep or was even all that exhausted to begin with, she just felt like it was the thing to do at the moment as most others were getting ready to. Of course the original topic had already drifted from the rooms so Fen didn't exactly feel like interjecting saying that she was ready to as well. She also hadn't felt like introducing herself as she was stuck on the girl's comment about being a hunter, and Aduain's as well. After all, she herself was a hunter but from the way the two talked it sounded like it had different parlance from where they were from and felt silly going, "I'm Fen and I'm also a hunter of sorts but not that kind of hunter." Actually, at this point maybe it was a good idea to forget about her own room. After all, it wasn't like there were a limited amount of rooms and one of them was going to be left out from not going to pick one immediately. She hoped, at least. And even if they were, Fen had suffered from some rough sleeping conditions so she was comfortable with biting that arrowhead. But more so because she simply wanted to collect her already overwhelmed thoughts and maybe introduce herself to the zombie girl at a better time and she was more comfortable with her. Hopefully. She was also just curious in general to what the building also had, given that if the watch was anything to go by there were still many more wonders to discover here in Prana. Looking to everyone else, the girl then butted into the current conversation saying, "I'm uh, gonna look around at the other rooms first. Yeah." With that, Fen had prepared herself to go explore more northward of the current floor.
  4. Ryia was shocked as the halflings had rolled out their biggest and most expensive explosive. The halflings seemed to be proud of their work, though Ryia was struggling to think of what they would even do with something like that. She didn't really know how in need of explosives they were to begin with, but something that heavy duty seemed a bit much for them. Nevermind she couldn't imagine how to even transport it around. She and Reinaan were probably enough to lift it around but that hardly seemed practical. And she didn't want to leave something so huge and dangerous to the mule to carry either. There was also a number of things that could go wrong with something like that. Thankfully, Lindow had declined the offer and she was fairly certain they couldn't afford the explosive to begin with. Soon enough they came back with things that were far more portable in size. As they were the only dealer in the area - or further as far as the girl knew - and once more from their enthusiasm in their craft Ryia felt compelled to buy from them at their sale price. No matter how poor a one it was. "Uh, well, those should probably be fine. Um..." The girl continued to think about, still unsure how she felt carrying all of them around. All the same, she and the other did end up buying from them. Giving a short bow to the salesmen she said, "thank you, for your uh, services. Yeah. If we uh, ever need more? Then uh...yeah..." The girl trailed off, unsure if they would ever return to the shop both due to necessity as well as actually being possible. All the same, she smiled and bowed her head once more before exiting. As the group began to walk away from the building, Ryia spotted both their fellow chosen and mount. Walking over to them the girl said, "oh, hello Keres. I see you uh, went shopping too." The girl looked towards the cart the mule now had attached to it, giving an approving nod as she did so. "We uh, bought some...greharms..." The girl had a strange feeling about the name, as well as still being entirely unsure on the purchase to begin with. Nevertheless she presented them to the water chosen before saying, "well. Uh, anyway, do you need help with this?" The girl motioned over to the mule, seeing Keres's unloading and reloading efforts from mule to cart.
  5. Lana was glad to have the familiar relief of Estelle's healing mend her body up once again. Giving a thumbs up to the girl as they made their way into the next floor, Lana looked around, taking stock of everything around her. The only real unique thing about this room was the bodies of water located in it, which there was certainly something off putting enough about those. As both Chris and Estelle discussed how best to approach the situation, Lana first checked to the ceiling to make sure there was nothing there waiting to kill them. And to the best of her perception she could not discern any such things, which gave her some amount of relief. Next came checking the water. Looking around, Lana picked up a loose rock looking to the others. "Well, if we're going to go find things out then I guess we'll start with this?" Without waiting for any real confirmation, Lana tossed the rock into the pool of water. And then it came back to her. It was closer to it being thrown back to her then anything else, but it still elicited a shocked and somewhat befuddled expression from Lana. Picking up the now soaking rock, unsure of what to make of it, the girl simply tossed it back into the water. And back it came. "Well, there's certainly something in there." The girl commented to the others. Picking the rock back up, she looked to the others saying, "I uh, I guess it doesn't want to come out, so...well." The girl looked to the water, then back to the group nodding in the direction of the water, before starting to walk cautiously ahead of everyone. As she got closer to it, she noticed that the water was rippling every now and then, only prompting her to look back to the others before going back to walking forward. As she stepped on the bridge, the girl continued to walk forward. Once she got a fourth of the way across the bridge, the ripples in the water got more intense before somethings burst from the water. Out from the water, two on either side of her, came what Lana could only describe as fish goblins. Well, they weren't exactly small, being taller than her, and they weren't really goblin like either, but she felt the name would stick. The two in front of her were bearing tridents while the two behind her - blocking her path from whence she came - were armed only with their clawed flippers and horrible fish goblin teeth. Lana had her axe readied and was, of course, ready to brawl with these creatures. But before that she was surprised by how dire her situation had suddenly become, prompting her to let out the universal call for help. "Uhhhhhhhhhhh!"

  7. Hemlock continued to stay aware of her now vitriolic and rather potty mouthed student, making sure her condition didn't worsen, while also taking stock of the others around her. Yumi had continued charging her charge, Yasha had switch to offense, and Diana was charging at her. More specifically she had tossed her spear towards the woman's briefcase. Ever the good sport, Hemlock had raised her arm to keep the metal object from being struck, though something interesting had happened from there. Diana was rapidly moving at her, though if the woman's theory was correct there was no way this was going to be some sort of large blow. Yasha as well was starting to run at an angle of approach different from Diana. But of course, both of them were obscured by the sudden smoke screen around her. Smiling as this happened, Hemlock simply stated, "team work is good, but a synchronous assault isn't the same as a coordinated one." Hemlock had figured that something was coming from Natalia, as simply daintily being a smokescreen was likely not to fit the girl's suddenly explosive and aggressive attitude shift. She also wasn't sure if she could maintain her smoke form for as long as she wanted under current circumstances either, so given both Diana and Yasha's angle of approach there was only really two places that she could reappear from. And, if one were thinking of the best place to attack under a usual circumstance then Yuuka simply had to move to her last free option of safety. Yumi would suddenly notice something very off about their formation, if she decided to hold her fire against the teacher, as Natalia reformed behind the teacher. Hemlock bent down and leaned in the direction of her escape, one foot off the ground as she did so. As a result, Natalia's sudden cloak grab tactic had pulled down on air. Diana had found some success in her attack, her leg sweeping Hemlock's one free leg and causing her to fall. Of course, Hemlock was now falling in the direction she wanted, though needed to have some form of sacrifice to pull of the maneuver successfully. Bringing one arm up, she ended up using it to break her fall - rather than her face - while using her other hand to support her. More specifically she pressed the briefcase into the ground, using it to push herself up and somersault away. As she did, were Yumi to still hold her fire she would notice something even more unnerving about her teacher. No matter where she had angled her arm to aim during the woman's get away, the briefcase somehow always seemed to be perfectly aligned for where the shot would land. Finishing her roll by landing on both of her feet, Hemlock winced as she tried to bring herself back up. Her knuckles hold the briefcase hurt, her other forearm hurt and one of her ankles hurt - and boy did it. The damage she had sustained was less than ideal but it hadn't been the defeat of her which was ideal in its own way. Now that the dust had settled from her escape, it was apparent what was going on with the group. Diana had moved to sliding tackle at Hemlock from the front, and though she partially succeeded that didn't mean all of her forward momentum had suddenly stopped. Natalia, meanwhile, had formed behind Hemlock in her attempt to grapple the teacher, which may have been fine were two of them not already charging and one primed to fire lightning. And were those two's collision course not bad enough, Yasha as well would have to put on some hard brakes on his own charge, lest he accidentally crash into the both of them with buzzsaws blazing. All in all, the end result of the attack was fairly chaotic. Looking at the group as well, Hemlock tried to think of what next to do on her end. With the students clumped like that, it would be an ideal situation for her to hit them all at once. Yet Diana was not someone she wanted to focus first, she couldn't possibly risk poisoning Natlia again and Yasha was just too close to the both of them. So, she turned to face Yumi with a bright smile on her face, before lazily tossing a smoke ball at her. The smoke ball as well, seemed to daintily float towards the lightning girl before suddenly tripling in speed to go straight at her.
  8. I wouldn't really say pointlessly exclusionary as I did have points to it. I will be honest, I don't know how current most people are on yu-gi-oh, I myself not actually knowing how the rules were changed to not require links and so I don't really feel like pushing something I don't fully know myself onto someone else. And by your own admission I'd still have to custom change the rules anyway. As far as I am aware, most people tend to prefer not having links in written and roleplay format. I don't speak for everyone, obviously, but this is off the basis that there have been several yugioh rps that were released after VRAINS, and not only do almost all of them - to my knowledge - not include links I also haven't heard much in way of complaints about their exclusion from said RPs, and sometimes just comments of not wanting them to begin with. So, my general assumption is that people are either ambivalent to their existence or just don't want them, which would make me inclined to not include them. From a practical perspective they are kind of a pain to write around. I am not going to say it's impossible, but links include directional markers and where things are on the board in relative position to them are incredibly important. This is all fine and good in the actual card game, and I think actual board placement mattering is neat, but gets a lot messier and more obnoxious when going from a visual format to a purely written and imaginary one. Especially when it's between two people who need to cooperate as opposed to just locked internally. So yeah, I personally think they're kind of a headache to plan around and I haven't seen public opinion that makes me particularly inclined to think of them as a necessity. Anyway we're an ooc now and have a rather slapdash note on setting and character apps, though that seems to have not stopped someone. One important note, the tournament I have decided is one of 32 and has a losers bracket. So yeah, if I missed anything important or what have you, feel free to comment on it.
  9. Fen continued to ready herself for another assault as both the dragon and fish went in on their assaults. While Devin seemed to be successful at first, it was starting to seem that they were having trouble in staying aloft in the air. Thankfully Aduain had managed to help break their fall, before going to start striking at the flame elemental with his water magic and trident strikes. The girl kept her bow at the ready, waiting for an opening to show itself amidst the melee of the two, only to be surprised as the fish man called out to her and Trevor. As he was striking the creature with water, seeming ready to go in for yet another attack, Fen knew that she had to quell the flames somehow. Yet her arrows weren't exactly the best at dowsing, and even with the added water she was sure the weapon would be able to do the trick on its own. Trevor looked at the fish individual, before glancing at Fen. It was clear she had the highest affinity for ice magic, where as he only had a slight attunement to the magic that was presented. However, this didn't stop the sorcerer's apprentice in the slightest. "Ice Princess, I believe this could be the pushing momentum to finish this creature off." he said, the grimoire still glowing blue in tandem with his blue gemmed ring. "Unfortunately, I haven't attuned myself to ice magic to make it my specialty...so can I ask you for support? With what I can provide and what you happen to be able to do, I feel we'll be able to knock the elemental down to size." "Eh? Ice Princess? I'm not - " Fen was confused by the nickname but, as they only had a limited window of time to shoot at the elemental, she did her best to work off the confusion. Still, Fen wasn't super confident in herself as a mage. As far as using ice magic to its fullest she had been outclassed before and even now all she could really do was freeze things and act more like a walking armory then a mage. Yet still, Trevor and Aduain were putting their faith in her, so she didn't want to back out now. Nodding, the girl said, "I'll do my best." Once it was established, Trevor positioned himself and immediately held out his hand over the open floating grimoire. "Blizzara!!!!" The second level ice spell was cast, and kept casting it. "Now...if you can mix this with your magic, perhaps you can control the destination of it!" As the man started to make a stationary torrent of ice magic, rapidly casting one after the other, Fen positioned herself between the storm and the elemental. She didn't know how to control magic that wasn't hers normally, but she had seen Vincent do it so many times before. And even if she didn't have the same skills as him, surely if it was a magic of similar make to hers then even she should be capable of this. Focusing on her bow more, the construct of ice started to grow in size, eventually growing large enough to have the bottom end of the bow rest on the ground. Steadying the bow, the ice mage then formed her ammunition, something that looked halfway between an arrow and a ballista bolt. Pulling it back, the girl took a deep breath before letting go of her bow string. The arrow soared through the storm of ice, becoming a bolt surrounded by a storm of ice and snow, moving straight on course to its target. The flame elemental, having been preoccupied with Aduain could not have seen what was coming next. Nor would it ever see much again. The arrow landed true, slamming against the flaming skull of the creature and rather than simply douse the creature, the skull itself broke and fragmented instantly. For her own part Fen was surprised at the destructive power behind the arrow she just launched, though she wasn't the only one. Aduain, who had been looking to initiate a much more flashy attack against the head himself, was surprised and quickly looking for a new target as there was no longer any head to strike. Thankfully the flame elemental made it easy for him, as the bare skeletal arm instinctually shot forward, moving towards Devin to spear them. Seeing this opportunity present itself, Aduain conjured another geyser of water underneath his feet and launched himself to intercept the attack. With his trident digging into the hand of the skeleton, the fish man drove the creature's remaining arm and spine into a nearby wall, causing it to crack even further. With the flames starting to dissipate across the creature entirely, Fen shattered her bow, only to use the ice dust it turned into to form back into her original longbow. Looking at Trevor, she said, "I'm um, not sure if my arrow will be enough, so, one more time?" The magician happily agreed, conjuring one more blizzara Fen launched her arrow through it, combining the two ice spells again. With the skeleton still not broken as well, Aduain let go of his trident with one hand, charging his hand with nen to go in for his own finishing blow. With his chop and fen's arrow hitting the remaining bones at the same time, the creature shattered, bone fragments falling to the floor with the last of the flames disappearing. Letting out a sigh of relief, relaxing herself at the sight of the monster being bested, Fen looked around with a smile. "I...I think that's it. I think we- " as she spoke, suddenly small black holes appeared all over the battlefield. Each one forming near either the dead sharks or the broken bone fragments of the elemental. And each one beginning to suck in their respective creature, leaving no trace of them before finally disappearing. Stunned, the girl blinked as she looked around trying to make sense of what just happened. "I...I think we won? I'm not- that was - does anybody have any idea..." The girl trailed off, still confused.
  10. As the girl and hobgoblin continued to clash blades, Lana kept pushing against his until suddenly the larger goblinoid seemed to become unfocused on the fight at hand. Hearing Estelle's comment, Lana called back saying, "got it!" With one final push, Lana forced the hobgoblin's sword down before pulling back up with her axe. With a vertical cut into the creature, she felled the hobgoblin in one decisive strike, letting out a huff in confirmation of her victory over it. Bringing her axe back to a manageable state to run with, she looked over as Chris called out to the both of them and nodded, following after him with a sense of urgency. Letting out a sigh of relief, Lana placed her great axe against the wall and caught her breath. Smiling at Chris's progress report, the girl nodded again saying, "and I think we've been doing pretty good for ourselves too. Hardly an injury to show for our progress." Confidently stating this, Lana then realized there was a dull pain in her side, looking down to see that her stab wound had not magically fixed itself in the few minutes she had had it. Patting at it and wincing as she did, she said, "well, not much of one at least."

  12. After having checked in with Geoff, on his suggestion the girl went to the blacksmith to fix her armor up. Walking through the market place, the girl eventually ran into the other two chosen, who as well seemed to be at the blacksmith currently. As Lindow greeted her, the girl felt a bit awkward as their business seemed to be done here yet she was just about to start her own. "Ah, yeah. Geoff seems to be, um fine, and uh, yeah..." Just standing there for a moment after returning the greeting, and then walked in assessing what she needed from this trip. She definitely needed her armor to function as she had been all this time, yet after the previous surge of strength that flowed through them, Ryia started to feel like her suit was starting to actually impede her movements. As a result, she figured it might be for the best to get something that would allow more freedom to her to avoid attacks and move how she wanted to, but at the same time didn't want to sacrifice what protection her current suit already offered her. Then there was the next matter that she wanted to explore. It had become increasingly apparent to her that the only thing she had to offer to a fight was simply being a body in front of an enemy. As such, she had always opted to be the first into the fight to draw whatever foes she could to her. But against the gnolls such a thing would've been suicide. Against the roc she was powerless to do much of anything as it could simply soar over and around her. And against the lion she hadn't been much help in distracting it to begin with. Though she could simply sit back and protect the people who were also supposed to fight behind her, that had dwindled down to just one person - two counting Madelyn, who herself was adept at protecting - and she knew she would feel restless just sitting back and doing nothing as both the others threw themselves at the enemy. So, she needed to become more versatile herself. When all was said and done, Ryia had purchased a new set of armor, selling her older one as well a longbow and a small quiver of 20 arrows. The girl also figured that she could use a change of swords, but knew that there was one with the mule she could use when they reconvened...She also thought the mule as well deserved some kind of reward. As she thought on all of this, the girl then looked to the others, who had been waiting for her and seemed ready to go check something else out. Following along with them on their quest to find explosives, Ryia was stunned as they stopped by what was presumably the shop to said store. She looked at the man who greeted them, incredibly concerned for his well being though unable to ask as both he and Reinaan started to talk with each other. The girl figured he was fine, though, as none of the others they met seemed to be concerned with his current state and he seemed to be carrying out conversations just fine. Walking into the workshop itself, the girl marveled at the sight, having never before seen such a place and never being so in awe yet so terrified of everything around her at the prospect of everything being explosive. As they were gestured to the products on sale, Ryia was hesitant to answer Reinaan. On the one hand, she felt like having them around was pretty hazardous and was very wary of what accidents could happen. At the same time, it wasn't as though they had never used such things before and she as well couldn't really say no in the face of such enthusiastic and passionate looking people for a product that was certainly not the most popular. So, looking to the others she said, "um, yeah. I uh, I suppose we could use them."
  13. Lana nodded at Chris's comment, saying, "leave it to me," leaving the locks to him and the bodyguarding to her. She didn't pay much mind to her own wound and instead braced herself, waiting for any other goblins that would round the corner and start to confront them. The next contender to come at them was none other than a hobgolbin, Lana grimacing at it as she couldn't help but she was suddenly feeling judged by it. All the same, as the monstrous creature seemed ready to come and attack them, Lana readied her axe charging in to meet the creature head on and go for a wide horizontal swing. The hobgoblin, armed with more than just a rusty dagger shanker like most goblins, brought up his shield to defend against the blade. With her large weapon blocked, Lana was a bit off balance from it, but continued her assault against the creature. Lowering her blade to the ground, the girl then twisted her grip and brought the greatxe in an upward arc towards the hobgoblin. The hobgoblin, with more wits than your average bear, opted to not be bisected from this attack and instead stepped back away from the girl. Brandishing his blade, the creature then moved forward and went to swing his blade at Lana. With the her axe still up in the air, Lana simply let gravity do its work and brought the blade down. With the two steel weapons clashing, the girl and goblin were locked in a power struggle, Lana grunting as she continued to try and push forward and out muscle the creature.
  14. As the fire elemental had seemed none too pleased by Fen's attack, the girl watched as it pointed its arm towards her. Feeling the seething hatred in the beasts eyes, it didn't take much to figure out that she was about to be his next target and so the girl got herself ready to move. The flames shot out at her in a massive column, far too wide for her to simply jump and avoid, and so the only other thing that she could think to do was take the attack head on. Dropping her bow, the girl started to channel ice magic through her hands and ducked. Placing her hands forward, a wall of ice quickly formed in front of her, and the girl placed her hands on the wall to continue funneling it with magical energy to keep it sustained. Fen knew that she was a bit in over her head, though, the moment the flames crashed against the ice wall. Though the construct managed to hold, in spite of Fen's best efforts it was visibly melting and the girl was certainly starting to sweat a bit. So, rather than wait for her barrier to be destroyed, Fen simply put in one last pulse of magic before pushing her hands off the wall and diving to the side. The wall shattered and melted almost immediately, though it had provided enough time and had quelled enough of the initial flame that Fen had been able to get out of the way of massive fireball. Sweating still as she felt a massive burst of heat wash over her, the girl didn't want to think about what would've happened if she had stayed put. And so rather than think on that, the girl moved onto the next part of the fight. From her roll, the girl swiftly got back to her feet, albeit somewhat crouching, and summoned her bow once more. Conjuring one arrow after the next, the girl quickly launched a volley of them towards the now naked arm of the flame elemental. The arrows landed, letting out a loud cracking noise as each hit until finally the skeletal arm broke apart fully. With its right arm down, and the rest of its body not too well off, the girl continued to focus on the flaming foe and await another opening.
  15. Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Blood, Honkai Impact for general sorts of inspirations I'd be working with.
  16. Alright so as the title says. I have no RPs I'm running right now, and I feel like doing something about that, but i feel like seeing what people would actually care about first before actually committing to any one idea. The poll allows for multiple votes - well, I hope it does at least - as this is just me gauging interest in these ideas at all, and maybe ordering which one I should work on first. I suppose this isn't even a guarantee I will do these, but like, I had the ideas and I figured I'd just spew 'em out there to the world. So without further ado Yugioh RP - This is like a more sports and slice of life YGO RP then a oh no the world is doomed we need to save it with cards, kind. Of course, you might have heard this kind of pitch from me before and I just did kill that RP but this one is different in premise and concept. For the most part it's supposed to be structured around a national tournament with all of you being the participants in it. It's largely supposed to focus on you as characters and dueling is generally only a small part of the rp with the bulk being hanging out, chatting about your feelings, flashbacking, etc. The tournament itself is meant for professionals, which is to say not school kids (unless you're geniuses or older people art proves that difficult to find.) Also being one whole tournament you might also note that this RP is supposed to be fairly short, at least relative to the normal projected length of an RP. I'm not looking to make a long epic journey, just a place for characters to explore themselves and players to have a few fun duels along the way. Jujutsu Blood Impact - It's a name in progress. A modern fantasy type setting, monster of the week, you kill demon monsters with super powers and there's probably an overarching plot where you go fist fight god in the end or something. This one needs much less explanation because it's basically a Shounen fight-fest, with probably some breathing room between fights for whatever antics you super powered tweens want to get up to. Snow Flower - It's less a name in progress. This is a fantasy quest based RP loosely poached from old Cherry Heart but not nearly as headache inducing for both Host and Player alike. You guys are in a guild in a fantasy world that's got a lot of bad shit going on and is also loosely norse themed because the Scandanavia is coolr. Probably lower powered on the player end then Jujutsu Blood Impact, and with more miscellaneous odd jobs and quests that aren't just kill monster. Also probably some upgrade and base building mechanics. DnD - So like, get this. I like stats. And I like turn based RPGs. Shocker, I know. I also like unionizing both games and writing, liking to make RPs literally games. Which you know, people have been doing across a table for years now. So I figured I'd try to bring that over to this forum. Now, being honest most of my experience in this genre is actually in Pathfinder, but for the purpose of ease of access this would likely be run in DnD 5e. I'd do my best to explain anything that needed to be explained to the best of my abilities. Setting wise I have zero familiarity with the Forgotten Realms but some with Golarion so I'd probably end up using that for the setting backdrop and using a heavily edited version of one of their adventure paths. If none of that last sentence made any sense to you don't worry about it. But yeah, not the first to have this idea but I still think it's a neat one all the same so I figured I'd cast my line on it. And there you go. Vote. Comment. Subscribe. All that good stuff, any feedback or input would be appreciated. Yeah. Get Chance and Luck.
  17. I'm pretty sure everything I've ever played has been nominated here except of course, the fabled, the classic Madagascar Operation Penguin
  18. As Tsubasa kicked at the panda hero the girl's very telegraphed move was read quite easily by the teacher, the hero themselves using a swift kick to sent the cat girl hurtling in a different direction. The girl's path was stopped as the monkey man had managed to catch her, before placing her down on the ground. The whole experience was a bit disorienting, being ping ponged through the air and having the air knocked from her. Yet always quick to regain her balance, the girl hopped in place, nodding at Sun's comment agreeing, "she sure is. What a kick." Tsubasa didn't seem the least bit troubled by this, in spite of the abdominal pain she was certainly feeling right about now, only getting ready to move at the teacher once again. Not paying much mind to her other allies, the both of them moving into their own positions, Tsubasa simply followed alongside Sun. Running alongside him, the girl noticed the monkey pause and leap up into the air. She didn't know what he was going for, but she did know that if he was going to go high this time, Tsubasa would do the opposite. Getting close enough, Tsubasa dropped low and placed her hands on the ground. Pushing up on them and keeping her body balanced on them, the cat girl quickly spun with her hand, moving to do a low sweep kick against the teacher.
  19. Hearing the news that all of the sharks were done for as well there was likely nothing else coming to join the fight brought some peace to the young ice mage. More so that the people were now safe then everything else. "Ah well, that's good to hear. And uh, well, I'm Fen - Fen Yi." The girl introduced herself, before looking to Melissa, "and she's not really a uh, straggler, she's uh..." Though Fen was about to clear up the whole thing she cut herself off, as her attention was drawn by the sounds of combat. Looking towards the fire elemental, it had seemed that its arms had been engulfed entirely in flame once more, though wasn't quite as shapely around the broken and cracked hand bones of the skeletal creature. The rest of it was still on fire as well, though upon taking Trevor's Blizzara to the torso the flames seemed to be extinguished once more. The elemental, still frustrated at Devin? Shannon? Fen wasn't quite sure which but the name didn't matter to the elemental as it still wished to attack her. However, rather than try to strike at the shifter with its flaming arms opted to go and launch more flaming darts at them. Fen looked to Melissa saying, "well, if there's nothing to do here then we should probably..." The girl was then reminded that her opponent was again made of fire. "Well, there's not much reason in getting closer but..." After pondering for a moment, Fen figured out what to do and looked to Salvo saying, "I shouldn't stay around here if I'm going to help, but thank you for all your help uh, Miss." "That's what I'm here for, Fen." Salvo said with a smirk. "And not like I'm all done helping if you need some." "Oh, that's true. Right. Well, um, then I look forward to working with you more. For now, though, uh.." The girl looked at Melissa and Salvo for a moment, before starting to awkwardly shuffle about and then start to run away from the crowd of people. Conjuring a bow of ice, the girl wanted to get as far away from the civilians as she could, not wanting to get them wrapped up in any counter attack the elemental might've had. Coming to a halt, the girl looked intently at the exposed torso of the creature. Conjuring three arrows of ice, the girl rested one on her foot before tossing another into the air. Then with rapid speed and great precision, the girl fired the first arrow in her hand, catching the second one as it got to optimal firing height and shooting that as well, only to then kick the final arrow into the air, catching that as well and shooting it. One after the arrow, with very little delay between them, the arrows soared towards the creature, all three of them striking true against the creature's hardened bone. Each one caused more chips to fly off of the bone, now causing the already damage torso to begin to crack. With her attack successful, Fen stood her ground and waited to see how it would react as well as for any other openings to strike at.
  20. With the group having decided on their plan of action and getting ready to follow through with it, Lana followed after Chris as Estelle's distraction flare was sent off. Though the sounds of alarm rang throughout the camp, feeling a bit unnerving to say the least, running forward Lana had found that it was mostly working. There were only a few goblinoids in their path, which proved to be the only obstacle in their path, and so naturally they were going to have to bowl them all down. As Chris sprinted ahead, going past the first two, he seemed to then be locked in a melee with the big guy in the back. The two other goblins, now seeing Estelle and Lana, had opted to make their way towards them. Seeing the one with the dagger approach Estelle, Lana disregarded the one going towards her and opted more to help keep her friend safe. Bringing her greataxe up, the girl swung the weapon in a horizontal arc towards the creature. Shocked that she would do so - and break the unofficial rules of honorable combat at that - the goblin quickly scrambled backward, using its dagger to attempt to defend itself while it's very good friend had decided to aim to kneecap Lana with its mace. With the first moving out of the range of her swing and not wanting to leave with a hobble, Lana continued the arc of her swing and spun on her feet, bringing her axe into the creature's backside. With the weapon burying itself in the goblin, it stopped its own swing as it was now dead and not very capable of using a weapon. Nevertheless, Lana couldn't save herself from harm as she and Chris had a new thing that they shared in common. A sharp pain suddenly appearing in her side, Lana looked to see that the goblin from before had run over and stabbed at her during her own attack. The girl looked at the goblin, then back to Estelle before gesturing with her head towards Chris, telling her to go ahead and help him out instead. Frustration evident on her face, the girl powered through her wound and brought her axe back around, swinging in a horizontal arc in the opposite direction towards the goblin. The creature ducked underneath her swing, putting it in prime boot kicking range. And Lana was not one to ignore such a range. Using the momentum of her swing the girl kicked into the goblins face, who in its desperation bit into her leather boot. Wincing in pain from the accumulating wounds, Lana still pressed onward, literally as she shoved her bitten foot into the goblin's face once more, practically stomping on it. The goblin then reached up and grabbed at her ankles, trying to pull the girl off of itself. Bringing her greataxe back around, Lana lifted it into the air before bringing the butt of the weapon down into the goblin's face. Losing its grip as she did so, Lana pulled her foot away as she stepped back before bringing her axe down and killing the goblin once and for all. As she was recovering and getting ready to press onward, the girl heard the sound of the hob goblin by the fire shouting, barking something in what the girl could only assume was a rude tone in goblin. Unsure of what to make of the exchange, the girl simply muttered, "we should hurry," before going to meet up with Chris at the front.
  21. A dour expression crossed her face as she once again took stock of both of her companion's injuries. She probably would've been able to help Damien if she had been stronger and faster to dispatch the demon in her path. Similarly, she would've been more able to assist the chosen in fighting the lion proper, as opposed to simply acting as an effective distraction at best to the demons. As a result, things had ended up like this now, with girl only being incredibly grateful for Madelyn's magic stabilizing the both of them. Yet still, there was a concern aside from herself that nagged at the back of her head. The girl looked over to Damien, worried about what was going on with the boy during the fight with the demon gate, She didn't say anything on the matter to the boy, not wanting to dig too deep into such a thing after they had just come out of such a scrape. Once the group had resurfaced from the cavern, Ryia could tell that a general malaise that was in the air - one she hadn't even realized was there until just now - was gone. She couldn't really put her finger on it, but it was almost as if the world around them was brighter and calmer. This persisted into the city as well and the girl couldn't help but feel yet more relief come over her as there didn't seem to be anything pressing waiting for them on arrival. The lack of fanfare was almost welcome to the girl at this point, both not expecting it the first time it had happened as well as just enjoying the calm everyday life of the city people around them. As Reinaan had asked about things to do in the city the girl thought about it for a moment, not really sure how to answer the question herself. She hadn't done much back in her hometown outside of work, shop and more work. Her train of thought was interrupted as Keres answered first, the girl looking at her with a confused expression. "I um...don't think people blow things up...well, I guess I could be wrong but..." The girl couldn't recall any time she had seen explosions going off willy nilly in Haven. As the non-chosen departed, Ryia looked over to Lindow as he made his own comment about going to shop. She had definitely agreed with the sentiment that he brought forth, and knew there were things that she wanted to take care of before they even thought of heading towards their next destination. It was then that the girl recognized the voice of the self proclaimed Chosen of Buffalo, seeing that he had returned from his own adventure. Curious about what he had been up to, as well as if there was anything noticeably different both in and out of the city now that there was no more demon gate, the girl looked towards the others. "Ah, I'll join you later. First I uh, I'll go check up on..." The girl nodded towards Geoff, before slowly making her way over to him. One there, she gave the man a friendly wave saying, "hello there, um, Geoff. Nice to see you again." "Hello!" He looked a bit uncertain as Ryia walked up but then seemed to recognize her. "Ah, it's you! Did...you have a task for me? If so I'm afraid I must have forgotten it." "Ah, no, no." She waved her hands as if to dismiss the thought. "I uh, well, I'm coming back from my own sort of uh, task..." The girl pondered it for a moment before saying, "I just thought I'd well, um, stop by. Say hello. You know." "Oh? You did a task you say? Well that's grand, following in my footsteps! The more the merrier! But be careful it's dangerous out there." He paused then then nodded. "You did indeed say hello!" The girl couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle at his comments before pausing herself, letting an awkward silence hang for a moment. Clearing her throat the girl then asked, "um well, speaking of it being dangerous outside, and all. I know you just back and all, but have you uh, noticed anything different...either in the city or out?" He raised an eyebrow. "Different how?" He looked around "Is there a festival that I'm missing?" Waving her hands to dismiss it again the girl said, "ah well, nothing like that. Just like, with the townspeople or monsters or something...In general." His eyes lit up. "Are you saying the townspeople are becoming monsters? This is much more serious than I thought." He then began to eye some of the people approaching warily. Letting out another laugh, this time more confused the girl said, "ah, nothing uh, nothing like that. Well, it's nothing really. Just, glad to see you're alright, an all." "Well that's very kind of you! But you don't have to worry, I AM the Chosen after all! Worry more about yourself!" "That's uh...true?" The girl paused for a moment before saying, "well, that's all really, good seeing you again." "And you, too! You might want to get that armor checked by the way, it looks rather dented! Must have had a bit of trouble." Looking down, suddenly realizing the sorry state her armor had been in from all the abuse it had been through, the girl said, "oh, huh. It is. Uh, thanks yeah. I'll go get that check out." Nodding to herself and Geoff the girl then waved saying, "well um, until we meet again, I suppose," before beginning to walk back.
  22. Grabbing Melissa's hand as she stood back up the girl nodded saying, "yeah. Not dead is uh, is good." Fen then looked around to see that there were still some civilians standing around that Salvo seemed to be going to regroup with. Then she looked to dragon Devin - who now seemed to be calling themselves Shannon? - fighting the fire elemental skeleton. As the torrent of flame raged out of the beasts body, Fen knew that she was very ill suited to fight such a foe. It wouldn't be easy for her to get close and maintaining her weapons around a being of flame would be difficult too. Furthermore, her raged options were precise but not super powerful either, so she didn't know if she would be able to actually provide much support from where she was. Well, if the flames around its body parts were quelled then she would probably be able to strike, but for now she looked back to Melissa. "Yeah, sounds good." Running over to the crowd of people, following behind Salvo the girl called out saying, "um, don't worry. We're here to help." Reassuring as she was trying to be Fen's voice did not convey much confidence. Yet still, she scanned around, staying mindful for any stray sharks or flames. Looking to Salvo the girl asked, "is there uh, any more enemies coming?" The girl didn't usually associate sharks and fire elementals together, so she was unsure what else to expect from such an attack.
