  1. "A-alright, I guess we can, uh... meet by the stables later for it, yeah." Ada said, causing Raynor to grin. Now that was great! With her teaching, he would (hopefully) be able to contribute more around here, and that would help this group (and him) become legendary! Well, then again, he had to find out if he could even do this, but that was what today was for... hopefully. Ada left in a bit of a hurry, causing Raynor to tilt his head. Maybe she was just really excited to get another magic user on the team. That seemed right. "Do I really have to do this...?" The moment Ada had gone to the stables Gojira got up to greet her, a little put off that she greeted the other mounts, but was happy once more once she gave him attention. Really, there was nothing better than being pet and fed by a human that thought you were cute. "You know, that rider of yours sure is an oddball," Ada muttered as she fed the giant lizard a scrap of jerky. Gojira snorted as he took the jerky in mouth, nodding in agreement. His rider was strange, but he was also the one that raised him, so he was kind of instinctively drawn to the man's side. Raynor came around thirty minutes, book tucked under his arm. "Yo," He said as he approached. "Glad to see you and Gojira's gettin' along. Makes me feel better that there are people around here that appreciate a good Salamander," He would have spun a lance at this point in an attempt to look cool, but he didn't have a lance on him, and spinning a book seemed like a bad idea. "So, what's first?"
  2. WHERE'S GRIMM NIGHTS CHAOS?!?!?!

  3. "Morning Mr. Henderson. Seems like the little thieves around here are getting weirder and weirder looking, huh?" he asked, sitting at one of the tables, already working on eating. Mr. Henderson looked up from picking up his pot lid, shaking his head as he dusted the piece of metal off. "Sadly, that's not even the strangest thing I've seen around here," The teacher commented with a grin and a laugh. "It is, however, the most persistent one," "We should figure out something we can do about them," Kokoro suggested. "Do you think you can outrun those little guys, by any chance?" Mr. Henderson frowned at that. As a teacher, he couldn't condone such an idea. Still, he knew it would be best to at least let them plan this out themselves. Hopefully though, most people would dismiss this as a bad--- "Heh, can I outrun them?" Chris asked back, only to point his fork at Kokoro. "I take that as a jab on my athletic pride. But to answer your question...I can at least keep up with the smaller ones. Now those HUGE ones that rampage around outside the school? Pffft, you can just forget that. I'd rather stay out of the line of sight for those." He paused to take a bite of his food. "That said, whaaaaaaaat is it that you have in mind or planned?" Well, that wasn't a good sign. Perhaps some of the others would speak up and be a voice of reason... "That's a good question. For all of us." Mr. Henderson suppressed the sigh and frown he knew was forming on his face. "If we can't stop them from stealing the food... Well, we're gonna run out eventually, right? Best not to have them make it faster.I guess they don't want to take their chances outside... Which is fair, I guess." Dammit, they were being voices of reason, just not the reason he wanted to hear. "Mr. Henderson, I know you and the other teachers are thinking about it a lot," she said gently, turning to meet Henderson's eye. "But we really do wanna know, see if we can help; Have you guys thought of anything? Like I said... we can't stay here much longer, right? Food won't last forever." She then went to check on Touch... who was sitting in a corner. Mr. Henderson was glad someone was looking out for the boy. Honestly, the boy reminded him too much of a kid he used to know, and it was taking everything in his power to not treat the exchange student the same way he treated his old friend. Right now though, he should answer the kids. "Look, I understand you kids are on edge right now. We've been stuck here for a week, and all we've had to eat is cafeteria food," He said that with joking disgust. "But don't give up hope, alright?" He picked up a carton of milk, walking across the tables before getting to Dominic's table. He slid it across the table, it stopping neatly by Dominic's tray. "The other teachers and I have a plan, but it'll take a few days to put into effect. For now, just relax, and don't kill each other," He headed to the hallways, presumably to patrol the halls. He then noticed Mackenzie about to head back to the library, having dropped off the two plates. "Oh, you got a tray for Ms. Grace to? Thanks for that, Mackenzie. That saves me a trip," He kept walking but then paused, obviously thinking about something. Inwardly, he debated if he should say what he was planning to. It might raise some suspicions and have some questions asked that he didn't want to answer. Still, it was better if they knew. He turned back to the group gathered in the cafeteria and smiled. "As for the...," He hesitated, "creatures... I know that a lot of them are scary, and the bigger ones are most certainly dangerous... however... they're not mindless beasts. Some of the more devious ones could be setting up traps of their own. However... you don't have to be afraid of them to. You might find a good friend if you just sit down and talk to one," And with that, he disappeared around the corner. Conner wasn't sure what the day would bring. He doubt there would ever be a 'good' day so long as they were in this prison of a school, just days that weren't as bad. However, he was sure that this day wouldn't be those 'less bad' days. "Good morning Conner my one-armed chum. How fairs this morning?" Theodore had asked and pointed out Conner's sore spot like there was nothing wrong. Conner raised his stump and looked at it. Now, Conner didn't like the fact that people were gone, but if the rest of the drama club was like Theodore, then maybe it was for the better. He took a bite with some difficulty... holding a fork with his left hand was much harder then he'd imagine it'd be, before commenting. "Peachy," with as much sarcasm as he could muster. He stood up, stretching and sighing to himself. He really didn't want to deal with Theodore right now, but he thought it might be rude to just blow him off. "And how are you...?" After receiving an answer, he headed to the bathroom. Maybe some cold water to his face would make him feel better. He entered the room, heading to a sink and quickly turning on the water. A quick splash on his face did make him feel much better. He turned off the water and looked up... only to receive a huge shock. "AAAAAAAAAAH!" He screamed as he recoiled from the mirror, his heart racing as he stared in the mirror. Instead of seeing his own face, he saw some sort of pointy thing in the mirror. Looking behind him, he confirmed whatever was in the mirror wasn't there, at least not visibly. What the hell was all this? By the wall blocking the exit, a loud scratching noise could be heard, as if there was something inside, trying to dig its way through. It was soft at first, however it slowly but surely was getting louder and louder. OOC
  4. Herc listened to everyone's answers, and he supposed they were all well and good. The answers ranged from 'selflessly helping others', to 'being a role model' (coming from the bancho of all people, not what he expected), to someone who stands for justice. Obvious answers were obvious, but they needed to be said. What else was there to say? Then there was one final answer. The Firecracker had a... passionate answer to say the least. She wanted to surpass the heroes, and strike fear into well... everyone, it seemed like. On one hand, it sorta made sense, but on the other, that wasn't the way heroes should be, at least in his own mind. But hey, it was obvious she was passionate, and that could be channeled. He was sure this school made for teaching heroes would be able to correct her and lead her down the right pat--- "You. You fail. You lack common respect, and you clearly have a rage in you that I couldn't control. A shame really. You can stay for the rest of the day, but I don't want to see you back here tomorrow. You wouldn't know what a Hero was if they came up and smacked you upside the head. Change your attitude, and try again next year." Or not. Oh... that... huh. That didn't sit right with Herc, not at all. He didn't know what to say, there wasn't even an attempt to try to correct her. She just was just... let go. He didn't even know what to say. He didn't even have much time to think about it, as they soon jumped into algebra. The end of the day finally came, and Herc sighed to himself. It wasn't anything too hard, persay, but that didn't mean he enjoyed it. Still, he'll do what he needed to in order to pass and become a great hero. "Oh class~! Before I forget~! Next week we'll be starting your in-field training~! We're short on licensed heroes these days~! Crimes are picking up! So the government is giving us special permission to let you use your powers under adult hero supervision~! We just need a signature from your parents or guardian to let you do so~! In-field training starts next week~! It was nice to meet you Class 1-B~! Have a good day~!" In-field training, huh? Well, they were being thrown into the world of heroing very quickly, and he would embed every second into his soul. He just needed to fax this to his parents so they could fax it back. He had to wonder how they where doing over there... Yuudai then approached Herc, catching the beetle's attention. "Nice answer you gave out up there, Herc." he said with a smile. "Wouldn't have thought to use 'responsibility' as a reason to be a hero. All in all, not bad." "Thanks. It's something my pops keeps tellin' me, although I still feel like I don't completely understand it," Herc mentioned. "Being inspiring isn't a bad answer either, ya know?" He sighed as his mind drifted back to Kess. "Shame about your girlfriend though, man. I didn't think they'd kick her out. I figured, ya know, they'd teach her the right way... then again, what was I expecting, the school administrations to actually do their jobs and try to teach people?" Herc commented in a joking tone, even if the sentiment was anything but a joke to him. This was, after all, a school in the end. It wouldn't be a school unless someone got left behind. At the same time, it wasn't like he had an answer to this either.
  5. "Something wrong?" she asked the shy guy known as Sai who just wanted this to blow by. “Yeah, are you alright?” She asked, a slightly worried look on her face. “You seem kinda nervous.” "What? Something wrong? Wh-what would m-make you think that s-something's wrong?" Sai asked, doing his best to inch away. "I-I'm not somehow running into people I'm terrified of, despite me doing my best to avoid them, no siree," "I know that feeling," Kyouko muttered. "Especially during club week, with the swim team constantly breathing down my neck. They're not scary, but I'd like if they stopped bugging me already." The gears began to turn in Sai's head, a stupid idea forming in the small gray matter between his ears. This mighta been stupid, but if it worked... "W-well, I mean... the Entertainment D-Duel Club needs one more p-person to actually become a c-club... I bet if you joined, the swim team would l-leave you a-alone, a-and I'm sure S-Souji wouldn't mind you n-not actually doing Entertainment D-Duels...," He blurted out. However, his brain suddenly caught up with his mouth, and he realized something horrific. "W-wait, but if she joins, then I'd have to see her even more! No, no, no, please reject it because it's too nerdy or something!" That was certainly an idea. She wasn't much for regular dueling - let alone dressing up in costumes and trying to be all hammy - but it did give her an excuse to get the swim team off her back once and for all. Plus, it would be a good deed. Right? Two birds with one stone and all. Kyouko was quiet as she thought the idea over. It took a moment, but she finally responded with a pretty plain, almost half-assed "Alright. Can't be that bad, can it?" "R-right. I guess we should find Souji so we can tell him...," He took a deep breath and manage to say with a big smile and a calm voice. "It's good to have you on board!" despite the fact that he was internally screaming. All part of being an entertainer. Sai sighed to himself as he looked around. They couldn't find Souji anywhere at the school. He didn't leave early to dump all the work on him, did he? It didn't seem right, but it wasn't out of the realm of possibility either. He was just about to give up when he found Souji by the Duel Club. "H-Hey Souji!" Sai called out. "I f-found someone who wants to join!" He called out. "You got a new member for us? Hell yeah, Sai!" Souji smirked widely, seeing his roommate heading towards him. "I knew you'd be the saving grace for the club...hell, might even be one of the many lucky charms. Either way, who's lucky number four?" "I-it's.... w-well," He motioned to Kyouko, who was walking behind him. "Hmmm?" Souji looked and saw who it was and pointed. "You!! Your the chick who knocked me on the head with the door!!!" He stopped from saying anything else, as he started rubbing his chin. "...you know what, I'll look past that door incident. I'll trust Sai's judgment. Welcome to the Entertainment Duel Club."
  6. "Isn't that nice, Ari? You get hand-me-downs." Mac gave a short laugh. "That's fine, Miss Kazo's Mom, I suppose he gets enough attention when he's dressed like he is anyway." For some reason, Mac just couldn't stop laughing. Were hand me downs that funny? "So..." Mac asked. "You lived here for a while then? What's it like here? Bet it's boring." She said it off-offhandedly but she also glanced over at Kazo when saying it. "Yup. It's a bit boring, but I like it," Kazo's mom answered. "Sometimes, some peace and quiet is all a person needs, you know?" Kazo raised an eyebrow as Mac glanced at him. "Why are ya lookin' at me? I've never lived here. I lived in Juyu," Trish looked up and snapped her fingers. "Yeah, that reminds me," She stated. "Have you heard? Juyu's been destroyed," Kazo looked up, blinking, obviously not processing what was said. "I'm sorry, what?" "Yeah, it's basically been razed to the ground...," Trish looked a bit concerned as she looked over Kazo's face. "Honestly don't know if they're survivors...," That sentence made it clear to Kazo. They had no idea if his birth mom was okay, or even still alive. He wanted to say that it gave him some complicated emotion, that despite everything he went through, he cared for that place, that he was worried about his mother. After all, that's how any decent human being should be feeling, right? It was almost disturbing to him that he didn't feel anything. "I... I see," Kazo muttered. "What... what could cause a whole town to just be destroyed?" He asked. Trish sighed at Kazo's lack of reaction and answered. "I don't know for sure. People are saying it's the Godslayer," She shook her head. "Can't believe there are Gijinka like that out there," Kazo stayed quiet, unsure how to answer. What would tell her? That there was more than one? That he fought so many Godslayers? That he nearly died each time? No, that wasn't something he wanted her to know. Mac would probably blurt it out though. They eventually got to the home. There wasn't anything too special about the home, just an average two story home. Trish was quick to take Ari to another room, seeing if some of Denku's or Kaz's old fancy clothes would fit him. Kazo waiting in the living, sighing to himself. "Hey Mac, you think that we should get better clothes? Or is Ari the only one dressing up...?" "I see." There was a pause. "That's not your only purpose but, for now, it is a purpose I will accept. You heard what the king said I am sure. I am a criminal. I've failed in my duties." He looked at Brooke directly. Making eye contact without wavering. "It was not my first failure. Dora's mother is sick." And suddenly Dora's reaction to Denku revealing his condition made much more sense. He couldn't imagine that she liked the thought that her mother and a friend were both sick and likely to leave soon... "Her father has grown more protective. She...has always been curious about the outside world. But there would be no way her father would let her see the rest of the world. Dora's mother...did not want that. So she asked me to bring Dora to the surface and keep her safe. When we reached the surface we were attacked. I was...unused to fighting up there and there were many of them. I only remember waking up, face in the ground, in front of the king." He then frowned. "He's not going to let her leave again you know." "Yeah, well, we'll burn that bridge when we get to it," Denku commented. Brooke was being unusually quiet, so he supposed he needed to pick up the slack. "And yeah, there's more reasons why we're here, but it still comes back to Dora. Apparently, some important people are worried about a friend of Dora's, and we're going to make sure that they're okay," He shrugged. "That little Wooper seems to be a bigger force in the world than she realizes,"

  8. The day was like any other, with adults going to work and kids going to school. All around the world, people were living their daily lives, and while troubles plagued the world, it was relatively peaceful. However, that all changed that fateful day. A portal had opened in the sky, one that everyone could see just by looking up into the sky, no matter where they were in the world. People and objects got sucked in, and monsters were ejected from it. One that day, the world changed. Giant monsters now roamed the land, and entire areas have been transformed, from the structures, to the geological features, and even their very climates had changed. Not only that, but people had changed to. Some things were simple, like changing hair and eye colors, or a change in skin tone. Others were more drastic, with people losing limbs, or gaining new ones. The world was now in case, and everyone was just doing their best to survive in this brave new world... Conner sighed as his eyes opened, the ceiling of his school's gym a sight he was now used to, but not one that was welcomed. It didn't even look like a normal gym anymore, it look like some ancient temple out of a movie, complete with stone walls and vines growing all over them. He sat up, looking over the gym. After the world had changed, over 3/4ths of the school had vanished. The remaining teachers had did their best to round everyone up inside the school and keep them safe. They were now trapped in the school. The usual exit was now gone, with nothing but a complicated network of stone and vines, with barely any space between them. If they tried to look past it, they couldn't see the outside... only the bodies of people that tried to pass through and failed. The auditorium was blocked off in a similar fashion, so no one knew what was in there, if it was even still there, that is. Passage to the second and third floors were forbidden. Other teachers attempted to go up there to find other people, but came back either very injured or not at all. So everyone was stuck on the first floor, with no working electronics. Computers, TV, cell phones? All not working. The metal shop teacher, Mr. Henderson, believed the thick walls of the transformed school was interfering with things, but no one knew for sure. Food was served in the cafeteria, like one would suspect, but they were allowed only two meals a day, to save on food. No one was really sure what would happen to them when the food ran out... The library... was strangely nearly untouched. Yes, it had the same stone make over the rest of the school had, but the books were untouched. The most unusual thing was the librarian. Her hair was now on fire, and her eyes had turned green, but her personality seemed to be the same... somewhat. She was always a quiet woman that never really socialized, but it seemed now she wouldn't speak to anyone... or react to anything, really, unless food was put in front of her, or if someone tried to cause a disruption in the library. No one knew what to make of it. The gym was designated as the sleeping area, and everyone had sleeping bags to sleep in. Looking around, it seemed most people were still asleep, so Conner walked quietly and slowly, staying against the wall to make sure he didn't run into someone accidentally. He finally got to the door and went to reach out for it... until he remembered... his arm was missing. At first, he just sort of stared at his stump. It was so strange... it was like he could still feel it there, even though it wasn't there. People told him it was 'phantom pains' or something. After a minute, he snapped out of his daze and headed out. The cafeteria was right next door to the gym, which meant he didn't have to walk far at all. There was some food already on some tables, and he could see one of the teachers, Mr. Henderson, working on dividing portions. "Good morning...," Conner muttered, taking a seat. "Good morning to you to, Conner!" Mr. Henderson said with a smile. Out of every teacher, he seemed the least affected mentally by the new changes, and seemed to do his best to be happy in front of the students. Whether he was that optimistic or just putting up an act so the students wouldn't panic was anyone's guess. "Food's good to eat, just pick a plate and--- hey!" Conner looked up as Mr. Henderson suddenly yelled, throwing a pot lid at a small imp-like creature. "That's not for you! Bugger off, you imp!" The monster just stuck its tongue out and ran off. With a sigh, Mr. Henderson went back to preparing the food, ready for the rest of the students to come get their food. OOC
  9. Mr. E had drifted close to a side of a pool, grabbing a different book this time, one that read, "The Brain, Memories, and Other Things Like That," He seemed deep in his reading, but he still knew that someone walked in. "Ah, yes, hello," Mr. E said as he looked up from the book. "Hotaru, and you brought Dragonecro as well. Good good. Did you need something, or did you just want to swim before breakfast?" "Excuse me?" Tora asked the staff present, though nobody in particular. "Is there, like, any sort of... duel sim place in here? Where I can practice? I figured there would be, but I don't remember anything from the tour..." GIl rubbed his head with a wrench, thinking. "Well, we have a simulator, but it has... some kinks to work out. Blues said he was coming over tonight to get it fixed up," Zirco looked at the field and his hand as he drew. He had one card, no monsters and two traps. By all accounts, he should be in a bad spot. However, that wasn’t the case at all. “Alright, Leiko, you showed me your best. It’s time for me to return the favor!” He said as his engine shifted gears and pulled ahead once again. “After all, this is where I thrive! I summon XXX-Saber Ulver from my head!” A lizard man resembling a black thorny devil appeared on the field, red cape billowing in the wind, with a golden dagger in his hand. XXX-Saber Ulver Level 4, 1600 ATK Leiko perked up at this. “Triple-X?” she asked, surprised. So far Zirco had only summoned Saber monsters with a single or double X in their names. “Hell yeah, Triple-X, because they fuck up the enemies!” Zirco stated with a completely straight face. “Now, Ulver’s effect activates! When it’s summoned, I can send one X-Saber Monster from my deck to graveyard, and then Ulver’s level matches the sent monster!” Ulver’s level dropped to 1 as Zirco pointed to it. “Now, I activate my Trap Card, Gottom’s Emergency Call! When I have an X-Saber Monster on the field, I can summon two other X-Sabers from the Graveyard! I summon Airbellum and Boggart Knight!” The two monsters appeared on the field, standing beside their comrade. Zirco smirked as he activated his D-Wheel’s autopilot, moving to stand up on his D-Wheel’s seat, standing tall and proud on the fast moving vehicle. He held out his hand in front of him, as if he was reaching out to grab something. “I synch level 3 Airbellum with level 1 Ulver and level 4 Boggart Knight to Synchro Summon my Duel Dragon!!” Leiko’s arm surged with a harsh pang. She gasped, her D-Wheel jerking off course for the first time in a while. The words Duel Dragon and the stabbing pain in her arm had violently divorced her from the duel; brought her back to why it was really happening. That’s right, she thought feverishly. There’s still the Project… I’d forgotten. As the Synchro Summon began, a dull red glow could be seen coming underneath Zirco’s jacket, right on his right shoulder. A similar one pulsed beneath Leiko’s sweater, light piercing through the black fabric. The Summon of a Dragon “I am the avatar of your rage.” The light on his back grew brighter as Zirco began to grit his teeth. “My body is hardened iron, and my blood is hellfire.” Red energy began to gather in his outstretched hand, glowly brightly. “I have fought countless times, Unknown to Heaven Nor known to Hell,” The glow on his back intensified, the mark of the right wing now standing out proudly on his back. “Have withstood pain to harness this power,” The glowing symbol began to leak out energy, leaving a trail of bright red in Zirco’s wake. “But these hands will never grasp true victory,” With those words, his hand ignited, flames dancing around it. “Answer my call…,” Zirco finally threw his hand into the air, a pillar of flame erupting in front of him, a large red dragon pulling itself out of the ground, its wings stretching and flapping, raising the monster into the air. “Hot Red Archfiend Dragon!” The dragon turned, its eyes glowing as it stared down Leiko. It then let out a mighty roar, staring at her monster and waiting its orders. Hot Red Archfiend Dragon Level 8, 3000 ATK Zirco slid back into his seat, turning off the autopilot and regain control. “How do you like that?” Leiko wasn’t looking at Zirco. As he looked back he would see that her D-Wheel wasn’t nearly as close to him as it had been a second ago. She was buckled over her D-Wheel, eyes down, her face white. Her hand was clutched around her forearm like a vice, red light leaking out through her fingers. She shuddered couple of seconds, looking small, fragile even with Lightning Gunner beside her. The dragon before her loomed in her peripheral, accentuating the searing pain she was experiencing in her arm. She tried to open her mouth to speak but only a strangled breath was forced out. Zirco looked back at her and sighed to himself. “Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. Still need to work out the kinks with your dragon, huh?” He shook his head and pointed to Hot Red Dragon. “Ulver’s other effect activates! When it’s used as material for a Synchro Summon, the resulting monster is treated as an X-Saber Monster! X-Saber Initiation!” A red cape flowed out under Hot Red’s wings, and an X-shaped harness snapped over its chest. “And now, I activate his effect! Once per turn, he destroys all other Attack Position Monsters! Absolute Judgement!” Flames ignited around the dragon’s fist as it slammed it into the ground, a pillar of fire erupting out of the ground and engulfing Lightning Gunner. The flames obscured Leiko’s monster from view for a second, two, three. Leiko reached to her D-Wheel screen, blindly hitting it through the pain, just hitting at the blinking image that popped up there on instinct. The flames suddenly were blasted aside, and Lightning Gunner stood strong, gazing solemnly down at Zirco and his dragon. On Zirco’s own screen, an image of Lightning Gunner appeared, a smaller image of Leiko’s T.G. Warwolf next to it. The Gunner card blinked briefly, followed by the Warwolf card dissolving from his screen. Zirco could now read the card and see what had just happened. “So, Lightning Gunner can save itself from card effects by banishing a T.G. from the Graveyard… then there’s only one thing to do! Battle Phase! Hot Red Dragon Archfiend attacks Lightning Gunner!” Without a moment’s hesitation, the Duel Dragon rushed forward, poised to punch down the stronger monster. “Lightning Gunner is… stronger.” Leiko could barely force the words out. Hot Red’s presence was beating down on her like a sun. “I activate the Trap Card One With the Sword!” He revealed. “When I have only one X-Saber monster on the field, the trap attaches itself to my monster, and raises its attack by 800!” Hot Red held out its hand, a sword made of fire appearing in it. “It’s over! Red Dragon Inferno Slash!” The dragon slashed its sword twice, making a fiery X over Lightning Gunner. Leiko’s monster raised an arm to defend itself, but it was overtaken by fire, slowly crushing the monster as it imploded. With a thunderous bang, it erupted into a massive corona of flame. Now it was Leiko’s turn to be bathed in fire, vanishing behind a curtain of flame. Zirco just watched quietly, waiting to see if the duel was truly ended or if Leiko had a final trick up her sleeve. Eventually the smoke dissipated, revealing Leiko, sitting stationary on her D-Wheel, propped up on one shaking leg as she gasped for air. She wasn’t moving on the track anymore, staring straight ahead into nothing. But hovering next to her was a glowing image of the Iron Resolve Trap card. Leiko: 200 “I paid half my Life Points… to take zero. And I end the Battle Phase.” Leiko reached out haltingly to steady herself on the D-Wheel, shuddering. The mark on her arm pulsed brighter, fading out of sight, then back again, then out, bouncing back and forth repeatedly. “Heh… so you did. I end my turn,” Zirco said as Red Hot returned to his side.
  10. "I-is that all? I guess so..." Ada muttered, tucking the charm into her pocket. She didn't seem to like the charm. That was noted for the future, at the very least. He shoulda went with food. Still, she seemed... kinda nervous he asked? Maybe he shouldn't have done that. Perhaps it was some secret art passed down from family to family... he didn't want to step on any toes here. "Were you wanting to start now, or some time later...?" "If you're not busy, I'd like to try a bit now," Raynor said. "Ah, but if you are too busy, I understand," He shrugged. "Whenever you're free," He stretched a bit and looked at the door. "So, what do you think of our patient? It seems odd we just stumbled onto another Jourian all of a sudden...," Ada was smarter than him. Maybe she had some sort of insight he didn't.

  13. "Not at all!" She looked at Kazo with a mischievous look in her eyes. "There was the Milotic in Southshore, that ghost girl, the princess and her guardian in Weynon, I think even that Snorlax's wife called him cute too. You should be careful, miss, otherwise he'll be sure to charm the girls here too!" "I... w-well, okay, maybe you're not wrong about Melody...," He muttered, turning red at the memory of the kiss the Milotic gave him on his cheek. "B-but everyone else isn't true at all!" Seriously, Mac was painting him as this heart breaker or something. Kazo's mom did nothing but chuckle a little at the antics of the group. She glanced up at the sun and sighed. "It's almost time for us to go isn't it? You guys all ready for it? Unless....hey Miss...Kazo's mom, do you have anything fancy for these two to wear? I can't let my lackeys make me look bad after all." Trish looked over the group, rubbing her chin. "Well, I know I have things that could fit the little gentleman there," She said, motioning to Ari. "Actually, it's some of Kaz's old clothes, come to think of it. Maybe I should just give you some of those so he can wear them," She looked over to Kazo. "I... don't have anything for Kazzy. He's a lot taller than when he was a kid, and most anyone on my side of the family," Denku couldn't believe the levels of security this prison had. It had cages, checkpoints, the whole nine yards. He supposed that this man was really dangerous or something... but all this security almost made him think even a Godslayer couldn't escape. Almost. The sole occupant didn't seem that powerful, but at this point, Denku knew looks could be deceiving. Still, he looked mighty uncomfortable in those chains. No cot to sleep at either. "You are not from here. What reason do you have to come to this place." The man asked, not even opening his eyes. Denku crouched down right by the bars, making himself level with the man before he spoke. "The short answer is Dora," Denku said bluntly. "The long answer is that after you lost Dora, my Emboar friend here, Brooke, found her and took care of her. We all met up by chance and are quite fond of Dora, which means I'm pretty sure all three of us have the same questions for you, since Dora herself is an unreliable source of info," He stared the man right in his closed eyes. "Why did you kidnap Dora? Dora says her mother told you to take her to the surface, and then 'stuff happened'. He then paused. "What exactly happened? What's going on?"
  14. What the--- what was going on? Immense confusion swelled up inside of the frog, watching the group being attacked by beavers. Beavers. He hadn't seen any before, but he never imagined such beasts would be so hostile. It was so weird to even think about. The group was being attacked by beavers. He supposed he should stop gawking and musing over the events and actually try to help out the group. The issue was, the river wasn't deep enough for him to swim effectively, so basic underwater combat wouldn't work here. Still, he needed to try something. He hopped over to Alois, using his oversized frog bulk to ram his head against the beaver, trying to drive it back. These things didn't seem deterred by bigger creatures, but he'd do his best here.
  15. Well, I wasn't a fan of the Hackmon you picked, but I'm now okay with this line. " Closet sadist. Since Kokoro prefers to help others instead of hurt them though, she tends to keep this under wraps." confuses me, but I really doubt this will come up. Looks fine to me. Wow, he's a school shooter in the making. Honestly, I'm glad we have a bit of a wild card like him, one that doesn't just wanna be friends and the like. It'll be interesting to see how he influences flow of the story, seeing how I'm going to try to not railroad you guys in this rp. I'm truly interested to see in what way this character evolves in the story. I have high hopes. We'll work to one solution through the Spirit Evolution. Yeah, I also like the fact he's a Spirit Evolution guy. AMINGOMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. It's a typical Chaos character, which isn't a bad thing. In fact, it rarely is a bad thing. He looks good to me, a sort of shonen control group for the rest of the crazy wacky yahoo people around these parts. I... hmm... it's much better than the other app I reviewed, which means clear improvement. I just... really don't buy the 'gamblers' angle. I can see him hanging with hackers, yeah, but... underground gambling... I just... it's pretty unbelievable, even in a setting as stupid as ours. But that's really my only nitpick. Fix that up some and you'll be golden. Hey, a physical change because of the event (I need a better name for that). Nice. I just wanna hug her because of that backstory. Also, the bookworm got a literal bookworm. I love those kind of puns. I just really like these two. I really like them. I can't wait to rp with them.
  16. Herc really wasn't sure what to make of this class. You'd think someone would notice and appreciate the sweet moves of a pop king. He had spent a long time perfecting those moves to, seeing as he was a giant beetle, it wasn't easy for him to pull off. Well, he supposed that wasn't why he was here anyways. Seemed like it was a lively class. That was good. He'd probably make some good friends here. "Hey man, not gonna lie, you kinda made my day. I just so happened to be listening to Michael Jackson while you were moonwalking. It couldn't have been more perfect. I'm Lesnar. What's your name?" One of his classmates came up to talk to him. "Ah, I see you to are a man of culture," Herc said with a large grin. "It's nice to meet ya, Lesnar. The name's Herc. Glad you enjoyed the moonwalk. It wasn't easy to learn with all my bulk, ya know?" "Nice entrance!" Suda called out, causing Herc to look up. "I'm glad at least someone else here knows a thing or two about style." "Oy!" Herc called out in an obvious joking tone. "Are you trying to claim that this majestic superhero outfit you suggested isn't stylish? I am wounded, good sir!" Sadly, it seemed any more jabs and wits would have to be traded for some other day. "Oh dear, oh dear~!" It seemed the teacher had arrived. "Let's settle down now everyone~! Let's all get in our seats~." Herc had to admit, their teacher was a looker. She wasn't married either, noting the 'Ms.' in her name. That could only mean one thing. Someone somewhere was missing out. "E-e-excuse me young man..." She said, grabbing Herc's attention, "but could you please take that off. You must be a foreigner, but I find your lack of respect for our schools rules to beeee~..." Her eyes turned sharp, as her hand slammed on the desk. "MOST DISDAINFUL!" Heh. She went along with the bee puns. But man, she flipped attitudes really fast. Well, today he learned that even beetle men could have fear boners. "You got it," Herc gave a thumbs up before standing up, slipping off the suit and placing it on the back of his seat. "Ah yes~! Your homework assignment from Sharp Shogun~!! Please come up in any order, and give me your answer~!!" She clapped her hands again, her eyes growing stern once more. "And make sure it's a good one~~!" "Hello class. My name is Itou Yuuka. A pleasure to formally meet you all." A small girl went up first. She seemed relatively normal... in fact, most of the class did. "As for what it means to be a hero. Well," the girl put a hand to her chin as she said, "there's a lot to it, but if I had to put it down into one word, it'd be instinct. I believe that being a hero is about not only being able to know what the right thing to do is, but acting on it the moment you realize what that is. At least, that's the base requirement of being a hero." With that... answer... given, Yuuka walked back to her seat, not missing a beat. Herc, however, was confused. "I... I don't think that was what our homework assignment was," Herc commented, "Problem is, I'm not the best at Japanese, so I totally could have just misinterpreted what the Shogun Dude said," He paused to himself, thinking about how he should proceed. "Eh, screw it, I worked too hard thinking about that answer to change it now. What's the worst that could happen, right?" The beetle stood up, carefully navigating to the front of the room, and after a minute or to, made it with minimal difficulty. "Hello, I'm Herc Coleo...," He then paused. "Wait, or is it Coleo Herc? Japanese people do family names first, right? So Coleo Herc, yeah, yeah, that," He shook his head and waved his hands like he was pushing something to the side. "That ain't the important thing. The important thing is 'What does it mean to you, to be a hero?'. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not 100 percent sure on what it means to be a hero, but, I know why I wanna be a hero, and well, that's the root of what it means to be one," He paused to mull the words over in his head. He was already rambling, he wanted to make sure this part of the message made sense. "It's almost like... a responsibility, I suppose," he finally commented. "When you can do the things we can, and you don't... well... when the bad things happen... then they happened because of you," He paused, thinking about his dad, thinking about how he would say it. "I guess when it comes down to it, what being hero is to me is a responsibility to use my power to help others," He felt like there was an even better way to word it, but he wasn't going to find it up here. He headed back to his seat, sitting down. He was never really good at talking seriously. He was much more comfortable joking and snarking.
  17. "Alright, Sai my man, we're on the clock. We have until the end of the day to get a total of four members for this club. I've already got one in mind...so your going to be scouting for other possibilities!" he said, smirking. "Plus, this'll help your people's skills. If you see potential, stop 'em, talk to them and then shoot me a text. I'll take over from there." So basically that was a wordy way to say that Sai was screwed. Well, he supposed he could look around at the very least. So the dramatic boy was off, looking around the school for people to invite to the new club. As it turned out though, that wasn't easy. Everyone was either already in a club, or they just weren't interested. A lot of people were more into the competitive side of the game rather than "dressing up" as he had been told. Still, he couldn't give up. He'd never hear the end of it otherwise. Still, it was discouraging to be told no so much. He decided to take a break on a bench, sighing and running his fingers through his hair. "What am I gonna do about this...?" He muttered, leaning back in the bench. He heard the chattering of girls nearby and looked up, only to pale when he realized that he had somehow got in the vicinity of Kyouko. This was somehow the third time in the last week. Why did this suddenly keep happening. Could he get away without her noticing? He stood up slowly, and did his best to walk calmly away, despite him being anything but calm.
  18. "Yeah, weddings are dumb, but maybe something exciting will happen." Mac walked over to the side of the bench, not sitting down, opting to keep standing instead. "Not much to know about me. 'Cept that I'm gonna be famous some day. Kinda like a Legend myself!" She looked over at Kazo and smirked. "So, did you know that ladies reeeally like your son?" "Ooooooooh really?" A mischievious grin spread across her face. "Well, I know my boy is a shy boy... but I knew he'd attracted the ladies anyways," "H-hey, that's not true at all!" Kazo said in a panicked tone. He looked over to Ari. "Mac's just exaggerating, right Ari?" He really didn't know why Mac thought this, but last thing he wanted was for this to get weird or awkward around his mom. "Can I see mama now?" Yeah, that made sense. Of course Dora would want to see her mother. Actually come to think of it, why wasn't she here now? "Yes, of course...of course Dora. She'll be glad to see you." The king looked up at the group. "You may go now. My soldiers will escort you wherever you want to go." A Poliwrath was assigned to Denku. "They will help you find whatever you need." "Well, I hope we get along well," Denku said to the Poliwrath. "Call me Denku," After the Poliwrath's response, Denku turned to Brooke. "Do you want me to come with you to see Gisei? Might save us a trip and some time,"
  19. "Nice try, but I saw you walk in." Suda said, pointing to the door. "As for my spoils..." He thought for a second, before shrugging. "Eh, I'll figure something out." "Darn, here I thought I'd get to joke around a bit," Herc snapped his fingers. "Just let me know soon. If I gotta buy something, I want plenty of time to get it, ya know? Not a lotta things come in this size," Monday was here, and Herc was excited. He was here, in hero school, ready to become a licensed hero! He slipped on his uniform, which thankfully fit his oversized body, and made him look pretty snazzy to, at least in his own mind. Still, he wasn't done dressing. He had a bet to fulfill after all. He slipped on his bee outfit, making sure that his front was opened. He had to have the uniform showing after all, that was just the rules. As he finished putting it on, his felt a wave of nerves hitting him. It wasn't because of his state of dress, because that he could laugh off easily. It wasn't like people could easily bully him. It was about his homework. He had a hard time articulating what he wanted to say. He knew what he felt, what morals were ingrained into him... but he didn't know how to say it. He only hoped he figured it out by the time he got to school. It turned out he was in class 1-B, so with that in mind he headed to the classroom, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself. Seemed like some people were already here. Time to own this bet. "What's up? Bee-tle Man is in the house!" Herc called out as he threw open the door, posing so the class could bask in the glory of his cheap bee suit. After a few seconds, he scanned the room, looking to see if he could see anyone familiar. And the good news was, he did. "Yo, Yuudai, what's up bro?" Herc walked over, holding out a fist for a fist bump. "So we share a class. Awesome. Let's hope we get some more epic team ups," He then looked around, seeing if anyone else caught his attention. One did... and... "Ah man," Herc looked over Misu. "You're totally rockin' that bancho look. I should have done something like that, it'd make this bee suit like, at least 5 times less lame," He shrugged. "Ah well," Looking over his shoulder, he could see the reason for why he was dressed up in such a way. Without another word, Herc began to head over to where Suda was. Instead of walking like a normal person, however, Herc decided it would be best to do this in the most stylish way possible, that is to say, he channeled his inner pop star and moon walked over to Suda's desk, reaching into his pocket and dropping a bag full of cereal on the desk. "Can you bee-lieve it, man?" He asked. "Bee-tle Man has gifted you with the gift of Honey... Nut Cheerios," With a chuckle, he began to moonwalk away once more, heading for a seat in the far back, where his oversized bulk wouldn't block someone's view of the front.
  20. "Excuse me, Barbatos was it? Do you know of a good place to eat and have a duel at the same time?" Barbatos looked up as he saw two of the new tenants approaching him. Looks like everyone was hungry. "Well, you know that table you all sat at for the meeting? That's also were you all were going to eat. Area's big enough for a duel," He reached over, handing the two a plate of rabbit shaped apple slices. "Here you all go. I'll see you again at breakfast," "Hey, uh, I gotta question about the library. Is it alright to take books from it and keep them in my room? I wanna read these but it's gonna take me some time to get through these..." She rubbed at her neck for a moment, "I don't really read fast, so I wanted to know if there were any rules on borrowing books from the library and stuff. I would stay and read, but I want to see if I can go and find the others and see what's up." Val seemed hesitant, but Damien smiled and nodded. "Feel free. Just make sure you return them, yeah?" Damien motioned to the room. "Mr. E spent a lifetime amassing this collection of books, so it's pretty precious to him," "These aren't even all the books! There's even more in other rooms!" Mango commented, pointing to a door in the back right corner. "I think the others are in the garage," Val added with a smile. Zirco watched as his monsters died, and how Leiko managed to turn things around ever so slightly. Zirco smirked before let out a laugh. “No fight, huh? Looks like you had more than you first thought!” He grabbed his card and looked at it. “I activate the Spell Card Pot of Greed!” He held up the spell card. “This allows me to draw two cards from my deck!” He pulled the two cards out and quietly considered his options. “I set a card facedown,” he said as the large card appeared on the field. “Now, I activate Faultroll's effect, allow me to summon Ragigura from my graveyard!” The armor-cladded man smashed his sword into the ground before pulling it out of said ground, its chameleon ally clinging onto the blade. “When he's summoned, I can add back a monster from my grave to my hand, so I'll add Boggart Knight!” Immediately Leiko began trying to see the path he was going down. Why isn’t he just bringing back Souza? It… It doesn’t matter. Even if he somehow summons three monsters to attack with, Synchro Deflector can destroy any card after it negates an attack. He has to be able to attack me four times. If he can’t, I can break through! “Now, I Normal Summon Boggart Knight, which allows me to Special Summon X-Saber Pashuul from my hand!” as the goblin came back into the field, and with it, a small warrior wielding a huge sword. X-Saber Pashuul Level 2, ATK: 100 “And now, I synch Pashuul and Boggart together!” he raised his hand into the air as the synchro summon began. “Slay the enemy with your dance of swords as your red cape whips about! Synchro Summon! Show yourself! Level 6! XX-Saber Hyunlei!” A woman dressed in oriental X-Saber armor rose, posing with her sword. “When she’s summoned, I can destroy up to 3 of your spell and trap cards, so I destroy your two facedowns!” Leiko’s heart thudded to a stop as Hyunlei raised her sword, the blade slowly glowing with a red light. “I… I was right,” she said softly, lowering her head. Her hand went to softly touch the Risebell card on her dashboard. “This is all I can do.” “But this is all I can do, onee-sama,” Leiko said plainly, looking down simply at her the cards on the table in front of her. “I can’t beat those cards, not all at once. It’s not possible.” “That’s not the POINT, Leiko-chan,” Houki protested loudly, catapulting over the table and tackling her sister to the ground, putting her in a headlock that Leiko didn’t even bother to resist. “It doesn’t matter if it’s possible, it matters that you TRY. LOTS of things are impossible; Like beating the Seto Kaiba AI at the Duel Museum. You believe I did that though, right?” “Yeah,” Leiko said simply, no trace of sarcasm in her voice. She did believe it, too. “WELL then.” Houki released Leiko, sitting in a cross-legged position, nose in the air, arms crossed. “Draw your last pathetic card, Leiko,” she pronounced imperiously, affecting a dramatic vice. “And show me if YOU can beat the impossible.” Leiko sat up, and took the top card of her deck. She looked at it for a solid thirty seconds, glancing between it, the duel field, the impatient, expectant face of her sister as she hovered to her side, the card again… “Yeah, this doesn’t work, I lose.” Houki face faulted onto the floor, her bare feet thrown up into the air at the simplicity of Leiko’s statement. “Yeah, well… Ya didn’t BELIEVE hard enough. Heart of the cards or… Ah, I dunno.” She leaned back against the coffee table they were using, squinting in the dimly lit room. For a brief moment the only sound was that of a passing train, the windows rattling in their shutters at its proximity. “You CAN beat impossible things, Leiko,” she finally said, the young girl looking up in surprise. “I gotta believe that, way things are. Can you?” Leiko raised her head to gaze towards the back of ZIrco. Hyunlei was still charging her blade, moving to slash her Traps to shreds. Her chances for victory. Without those Traps I can’t win… It’s… Impossible… Superimposed over Zirco she saw it. Houki. Same as him, chosen for something greater. Chosen to beat the impossible. She gently moved her foot, the world seeming to slow around her as she leaned forward on her bike. She gradually accelerated, moving towards Zirco at what felt like a crawl, but to Zirco and those watching looked smooth, unhalting like her previous driving. … Can I? I don’t know, sis. Maybe… Way things are. Maybe I can. And as she drew level with Zirco, driving up beside him, he would see one thing of note: Leiko’s eyes weren’t locked on the road ahead anymore in fear of the speed she had. They were shut tight. For the briefest of moments they were shut. And then they flew open, gazing straight ahead as her D-Wheel roared to life. “Clear Mind!” The Power Inside Morodate rose abruptly to his feet, dropping his tablet, eyes fixated on Leiko. “Impossible,” he breathed, reaching forward to place his hand to the window. “Is she… Did Zirco…” Yamata watched with wide eyes. “Is she really able to…?” Leiko raised a hand, her palm facing towards Wonder Magician. “Wonder Magician’s effect: I can Synchro Summon with it in my opponent’s Main Phase!” “What, what the hell? You can do that?!” Zirco called out in shock. “I’m tuning my Level 5 Synchro Monster, Hyper Librarian, to my Level 5 Synchro Tuner, Wonder Magician!” Leiko didn’t even seem to see Zirco anymore, as lines of slipstream started to move around her D-Wheel. She entered the turn smoothly, sliding ahead of Zirco as her Wonder Magician split into five rings of green light. Instead of forming in the air beside her, they floated ahead, framing the track before her as the stars that had been her Hyper Librarian floated around her. “Limiter Removal, level 10!” Power Constraints, Release! All Clear!” The five stars streamed through the way, leaving only one thing to go through, she somehow knew: Herself. “Infinite possibility be channeled,” she continued, placing her hands on the handlebars and readying herself, somehow knowing what to do. “Lightning road, break through the impossible!” She took one last deep breath, and then put as much acceleration into her bike as possible. “ACCEL SYNCHRO!” Every electrical appliance, outlet, and device in the base turned off at once. The feed to the track was cut off from the screens anyone was watching from. "Aw, son of a bitch!!" Gil ran over to a fuse box, opening it up and fiddling with it. "This is why I said we needed a different home base, but nooooooo," But before long there was a humming noise throughout, and everything slowly switched back on. The screen slowly came back into focus, and what was on the field now. What had changed. Zirco was in shock, seeing that she vanished somehow, despite him keeping his eye on her the whole time. He slowly turned his head trying to find some sign of her… but at first all he could see was the smoke. Two twin trails of smoke were on either side of Zirco, trailing back far behind him and far ahead, ending at Leiko’s sides. Where her Trap cards had been. The smoke had blasted past him, as had a large mass that… No. There was no way she had gotten behind him that fast; She would have crashed, for sure. But the biggest change was what was now hovering in the air over the girl who sat gasping for air on her D-Wheel. The figure that now slowly turned to face Zirco. The gradually returning lights of the track reflected in deep crimson armor. The lithe, powerful form with two large boosters jutting from its back. The sleek helmet from which vibrant yellow eyes gazed out at him. And the enormous black-and-yellow carbine that was held loosely, confidently in its right hand, one that it raised to point at Zirco. Leiko raised her head slowly, turning to look back at Zirco, almost seeming surprised he was behind her. She didn’t speak for a few moments, caught in the gravity of what had just happened. It was a good twenty seconds before she opened her mouth. “Move forward… Tech Genus Lightning Gunner.” Tech Genus Lightning Gunner Level 10, ATK 3300
