  1. "That sounds like you're less on an adventure more looking for a home. Maybe this place could be it?" She suggested with a sad smile. Kazo scratched his cheek and shrugged. He never thought about it before, and honestly, he didn't have the time to think about it now. The woman turned to Mac. "And you?" "Home...is whatever." Mac began. Then realizing that wasn't enough continued. "It's not like I'm attached to it or anything. It's a place. I just...don't wanna...be stuck sitting there doin nothing. And now...well." She gave a grin. "Now I've got to be a hero." "What do you mean?" "We might not look like much....they might not look like much, but we took on some real bad people already. People who wanted to take down Legends even! So...So I've got a lot to do still you know?" "Oh, you must be kidding with me. There's no way you really did that, right?" She looked at the other two. "Right?" "Well, taking on isn't definitely no joke, but it doesn't mean we actually beat them...," Kazo muttered. "Call us courageous fools, I guess," "I see....I didn't need to know for any particular reason. I was just curious, you see. It's very, uh, different from most of the people down here. We don't have much illnesses. Except..." The guard turned to stare at Dora, which caused Denku to blink. "She's a very special little girl you know that right?" the soldier said suddenly, his voice low, as he looked back to Denku. "Everyone was so upset when she had gone missing. Especially the king..." He bit his lip, as if stopping himself from continuing. Denku didn't press the issue, but he really wanted to point out that Dora didn't seem to miss them, nor did she want to come back. However, they had arrived at the city, and Denku had to admit, he hadn't seen anything like this before. It was pretty awe inspiring, that was for sure. Still, he couldn't leave the bubble just yet, so he decided to just look around, not moving from his spot. What an odd city...
  2. Okay, 3, 2, 1, let's jam. Mystical Child of Light The Irish Child of Light Cu Chulainn has answered your call, but instead of armed with his spear Gáe Bolg, he comes as a Druid. Using runes, he can preform high level magic. He's an agreeable fellow, provided you aren't a scumbag, but either way he will follow your orders in the end. He has Protection from Arrows, allowing him three perfect dodges, and his Noble Phantasm Wicker Man has good damage, summoning a giant wooden man that scoops up its enemies, placing them inside the cage in his chest and lighting them on fire. He has even technically won a Holy Grail War. All in all, a good summon. The Younger Child of Light But some strange twist of fate, the Irish Child of Light Cu Chulainn has answered your call as well, but instead of coming in as a Druid, or even as his adult self, you summon him in his younger and more spirited days. Like his older self and his Druid self, he has Protection from Arrows, allowing him three perfect dodges from attacks. His demeanor is similar to his older and Druid self as well, but unlike them, he is more hot blooded. His Noble Phantasm is Gáe Bolg, a cursed spear. Once its name has been called, the cursed spear reverses the nature of causality, to make it so the cause of the "lance being thrust" comes from the effect of the "opponent's heart being pierced" by it. It determines the opponent's fate simply through its use, an always fatal move that pierces the heart with one thrust. Only people with high luck or defenses can hope to survive it. A solid summon. The Toughest Saint The holy woman Saint Martha has answered your call, along with the evil dragon she appeased, Tarasque. She is a perfect paragon of a Christian Saint, calm and composed... on the outside. On the inside, she's a rough and tough city girl that defeated a dragon not by prayers like she claims, but by beating it down with her bare fists. However, she will mostly use her staff in battle, and uses it to hit people with, and heal herself, as well as take away the buffs her enemies may place on themselves. She can also fire holy blasts of light... almost like a grenade. Her Noble Phantasm involves the dragon Tarasque, as she will hit him with her staff and send him barreling into enemies like a tactical nuke. A good summon. Lancer of the Sun The Lancer Karna, one of the main characters in the Hindu epic Mahabharata, has answered your call. He was renowned for a spirit so selfless and noble that it shamed the gods themselves. He is actually one of the most powerful known Servants, having armor made of sunlight, a weapon able to fire out nuke level explosions with ease, and unless you know his True Name, all his stats will appear lower to an outsider. On top of it all, it is impossible to lie to him. The drawback? His immense power will drain his master of so much energy it could kill them. As such, he must be careful of how he fights and how much energy he uses. He is loyal though, and will make sure not to kill you. His main Noble Phantasm is Vasavi Shakti, which allows him to fly with wings of fire, and blast the enemy with basically the sun. A good summon... but don't get cocky. The Tengu Samurai The young samurai Ushiwakamaru has answered your call. That is only her childhood name, however. You may know her better as the samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune. She is a samurai searching for a master to be loyal to after being betrayed by her beloved brother. Her swordplay has been honed to near perfection, and she is a great tactician. However, she has absolutely no concept of fear or worry, which may land you in more trouble than needed. She has 4 Noble Phantasms, but only one is known. Dan-No-Ura Hassou Tobi creates eights boats for her to jump across and close the gap between her and her enemy, and slashing them for great damage. All in all, a good summon. The Manliest Man to ever Man The Berserker Beowulf has answered your call, and boy are you lucky. The Berserkers are a trap in the Holy Grail War, their mana drain known to kill masters, and their Madness Enchantment making them hard to control. However, Beowulf actually comes with a very low drain, and almost no Madness Enhancment. In fact, Beowulf is noted to actually be very gentle with women, children, and people he's responsible for. Still, this doesn't stop him from being a very powerful servant. He has two swords: Hrunting and Naegling. Hrunting is a special sword, drinking the blood it draws, becoming bigger and more demonic as time goes on, and automatically makes the best possible attack when swung, something that's really good with the strength of a Berserker behind it. It's also capable of sniffing out blood. However, his swords don't actually make him stronger. They're power limiters. His Noble Phantasm is Grendel Buster. At the cost of sacrificing his own weapons, he is able to discard Servant limitations entirely and show off his true strength free of all restrictions. The strength of a man who regularly punched dragons and monsters to death. All in all, a very good summon.
  3. For yeeeeears, for I am a master of deception.
  4. "Hello. Don't talk to me - I'm just here to swim." Mr. E didn't say anything, deciding to stay on his flotation device and reading his book. It seemed he was really focused on what he was reading, whatever it was. "Could... Could I stay with you, for the evening? It would only be one, you'd have it to yourself after tomorrow." Leiko asked the mechanic Tora, causing Zirco to grit his teeth. He couldn't believe the gall that woman had. She was a real brave coward, that was for sure. “Okay, you know what, no,” he growled, moving quickly until he was close to Leiko. “If words won't get to ya, then there's only one way to go about this,” he raised his hand over his head, fist clenched tight… before he slammed it forward and pointed directly at her. “You got a D-Wheel, right? Then get your ass to that race track, because I'm dueling you right now!” Leiko balked as Zirco got in her face, eyes widening slightly as she tried to remain calm. She had known he would be mad. “What… Duel? What… What good would that do?” She was at a loss for words at this point… Why was he so insistent? It wasn’t like she was going to be helpful at all, why would he want her around? “What good would it do? Use your head! You call yourself bad, but we've seen no proof of it! For all we know, you're just acting like you're bad so you can just skip out on us!” He snapped, getting even closer to her face. “And I ain't letting you go until I can determine how good or bad you are. Got it?” Leiko found herself turning her face away, looking guilty. “I… Zirco, I’m sorry, I… I’m not trying to-” “It’s fine, Leiko.” The two looked up, surprised, to see Leiko’s handler walking down the hallway towards the pair calmly, face impassive. “I know what you’re thinking. He’s not like the AI programs we trained you on… I know you want an actual challenge, and you’re wrong about his ability to give it." The wires in Leiko’s brain crossed at this statement. What the hell was he talking about? Zirco's eyes widened as he slowly turned his head to look at Leiko, fury burning in his eyes. “Oh, so that's what it is. You don't think you're too bad to work with us… you think you're too good for us!!” He straightened up, his teeth holding back a growl. “D-Wheel. Now. I'm going to show you that you shouldn't look down on your seniors, Ms. Less Than a Year,” Leiko whipped her head towards Morodate, realizing what was happening with horror. “Morodate!” she cried, dismayed as he stood there, smiling at her pleasantly like she was a child who had done something silly. “You should have more faith in a fellow member of the Project, Leiko,” he said simply. He looked idly off towards the array of newspaper clippings, casually running a hand over a connecting piece of yarn. “Who knows, maybe he’s capable of the same power you are?” Zirco turned to walk away, hands in his pockets. “You better be at the track in less than ten minutes. Otherwise… I'll drag you down there myself,” he let the threat linger in the air for a second before storming off. Damien looked up from his spot as Zirco stormed off. "So... um... if you all wanna draw straws, well, I can stand in for Zirco...," OOC

  10. May the rolls ever be in your favor... Edit: I should explain what I'm doing. I'm going to go to the Rolling Simulator and roll for servants. The servant you get is the first (or best) servant I roll on your turn.
  11. Herc Medal Count: 2 The big bad beetle boy walked down the street, flipping a medal into the air like a coin as he headed down the city. So far, things had been pretty easy for him, just cleaning up a mess of cars and getting a medal. He hadn't seen anyone else yet. Was everyone else just going that fast? Or was he going that slow...? He supposed walking wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do... but hey, it wasn't easy moving his giant body at an reasonable speed. Besides, going slower would let him pick up on things other people would miss. For example, at the top of a building, there seemed to be a body hanging on to the edge, like a person hanging on for dear life. Thankfully, Herc's quirk was perfect for this. He placed his hands against the wall before pulling himself up, and beginning to climb the wall like a insect. Such a power made it easy as cake to climb, but there was more he had to do. Gritting his teeth, he began to push with his legs as he stood up, and the beetle man began to run up the wall, doing his best to get to the top as fast as he could. Despite his big size, he managed to climb to the rooftop in record time, managing to grab the body as he pulled himself over the head. Taking a closer look, he could see that it was just a crudely made dummy with a medal stuck to it. "Of course they wouldn't use real people. That'd be stupid," Herc commented in his head as he plucked the medal from the dummy's body. Herc Medal Count: 3 Herc stood up, stretching as he stood by the edge of the building, overlooking the fake city. "I gotta say, I like the view. I could make a killin' as a photographer," He mused. "Maybe as a side job," He then took to surveying, hoping that maybe he could spot something other people wouldn't be able to see. It didn't take long to find something. There was a car, barreling down the street, obviously a danger to anyone around it. Still, it was moving to fast for Herc to realistically believe he could catch. He was about to let it go, when something about the car caught his eye. "Wait a minute... right... left... left... right... left... left... I got it! It has a set pattern, like it's a computer programming... meaning I can predict where it'll go!" Herc grinned to himself as he took several steps back. He had a chance now. Taking a deep breath, he barreled across the rooftop, leaping when he reached the very edge, trying to land on the other rooftop. He made it across the giant gap, but his landing wasn't perfect, the giant beetle almost falling backwards and off the building. "Damn, that was close," Herc thought as he moved away from the edge. "I bet this'd be easier if I was some sort of spider man...," Taking a deep breath, he ran again, this time leaping to the other roof and nailing the landing. "Not bad, not bad," Herc chuckled. "Much faster than running in the streets," The hero in training kept leaping across buildings until he came to the one spot he wanted to be: somewhere far ahead enough of the car that he could intercept it. He began to run down the wall, keeping an eye at the street entrance, seeing the car having just made the turn to enter it. He kicked off the wall, time seemingly slowing down as he aimed for the car, knowing this was his one chance to catch it. He reached out... Closer... Closer... BAM!!! Herc slammed on the roof of the car, grunting as a sharp pain went through his stomach. Quickly, he used his powers to stick on the roof, catching his breath slightly as the car rushed down the street. Now it was time to stop this car... How would he do that?
  12. "Thanks Captain Obvious..." Souji grumbled, rubbing the back of his head as he motioned towards Kyouko. "Already established that...so thanks for that. ...I'm still keeping this." "Obvious Man, fighter of the Subtle Man," Sai sang jokingly before his little choking episode. "Now, as I was just explaining to her...I was up here doing thinking. Sorta helps clear my head, you know how it is. I was thinking of possibly joining the Duel Team again...if only to be able to get plenty of chances of Dueling Hitomu. Gotta get better than him...he's the goal line for me." "Not me, man. He's captain of the Duel Team," Sai said when he finally got over his fit. "He's part of the 'winning is everything' club. I just wanna entertain people and make them smile with my dueling, win or lose," "However...now that you popped up here...a thought occurred. The Entertainment Duel Club we had...we might be able to do that...if..." Souji finally stood up as he took off his fedora and ran a hand through his hair, sighing deeply. "...if...I bite the Magical Musketeer bullet...and be the club leader. Then again, we both know my people skills are complete shit...so dunno if that's back to square one or not." Sai let out a laugh, one loud and clear. "S-sorry, but, imagining you as the club leader... pffftt... we... we wouldn't be able to keep members for a week," After his laughing, he thought to himself. "Besides, we'd need to have four people for them to even consider letting us have the club," He thought to himself. "We'd make half of it... maybe we could convince that girl you dueled the other day to join?" He rubbed his chin. "Got nothing for a fourth though...," "I'm going to a vending machine. If either of you have something you want and can pay me back for it, speak up." "Um... n-no thanks, I'm good," Sai muttered, hoping not to draw her ire on himself.
  13. Raynor stood by Gojira's side, hand on the reins as Yue started to look over the store. The girl was really nervous, but she seemed to finally come to a decision. "Uh a-all right," she stammered, "I-I'll..." She paused and nodded, eyes growing firmer and more determined. "I'll take it. Buy it. I mean, i-if that's okay with you." "Well, I hope it is," Raynor commented before looking over to see what Yue bought. It was... well, it was a bow at some time at its poor sorry life... "Um... looks like a fixer upper," Raynor commented. Should he scold her for buying something so... pitiful? Well, he was in no place to talk, he spent all his money without getting a weapon he could currently use... that was okay though! What he bought would be worth it! "Thank you both, for both of your business. I hope the road favors you and we can do business again, and I hope you take excellent care of that bow Snow Flower. Bye!" "See ya! Hopefully we meet again!" Raynor waved as the shopkeeper left. He chuckled and rolled his free shoulder. "Well, that was productive, wasn't it?" He asked, not expecting an answer. He looked down at the two charms in his hand as he began to think. He wanted to give one to Yue, so maybe she wouldn't be as scared of him... but he was sure just approaching her and shoving it in her hands wouldn't help at all. What could he---? He was distracted by Gojira getting restless, tugging at the reins. Wait, maybe that was his answer. He nudged his mount, who looked at him, tilting his head. The rider held out his hand, one charm presented to Gojira. "Give," was the simple command given, one that Gojira knew too well. The lizard carefully took the charm in its teeth and made its way over to Yue, nudging her side and trying to proudly present the charm.
  14. "Ah, it seems that you have proper manners. Though your manner of dress does indeed baffle me. You may repay me by vowing to destroy the evils of this world when you see it! Ah, what a glorious thought." She was exactly the way he thought she'd be. Although he supposed it was hard for anyone to understand the clothes of those that live in the forest. It wasn't any of his business though, so long as she stayed off his back, he'd be fine. He really didn't want to deal with more high class people right now. Though he was in a group with two princesses, which in theory were the highest of the high class. Thankfully though, Cat was content with him just scouting, and the younger princess didn't acknowledge his presence outside of a few random moments. Honestly, this group was probably the most ideal one for him to travel with. He still didn't like the fact he was traveling with humans and foxes, but... it could be a lot worse. He decided for now it would be best to fade back into the background, awaiting orders, or for something interesting to catch his eyes.
  15. Blues didn't think the first thing he would get was a counter offer... well, not so much a counter offer as it was a a demand, one that most people would call outrageous. He certainly believed it to be so. "After what they've been through, and with the considerable wealth of KaibaCorp factored in... Surely you could spare a billion each?" Blues would have answered, but she turned away to talk to everyone else. "Now, we should probably settle in and get to know each other better, yes? We have the pleasantries out of the way, and I'm sure no one would like to turn down Mr Kaiba's generous offer of a house of your choosing plus a billion dollars. The sooner we get to know each other, the sooner our family will come to love each other, despite the tense beginnings." "You really could screw them over right now," Mr. E commented. Blues shook his head. That wasn't what he came here to do, and he was positive that Shannon didn't realize the difference between a million and a billion. It was... bigger than people imagined. "I have an objection." Kiyoko looked at the girl square in the eyes. "I have no need to be compensated. I'm not really sure what you need a 'billion dollars?'" Her voice had an air of confusion as she said this before continuing, "for anyway. However, I'm fine just knowing that I'll save others from harm. So, I will refuse his offer." "What a good girl," Mr. E acted as if he was sobbing, placing a sleeve to his eyes. "I thought such pureness was gone from the world," Blues elbowed the white haired man in the side, causing Mr. E to yelp a little. "I'm in. Though, I'll have to go with the money and home myself. The money will help me back home... And I want to talk to you about the situation in Hearthome once we figure out what's going on with the missing people." "I'll also accept your offer, Mr. Kaiba. However, I'd like to talk about the state of Hearthome City as well, after we've handled the missing people issue." Blues simply nodded. "I'll be willing to talk to you and help to the best of my abilities," "M-Mr. K-Kaiba sir...I-I...I..." Blues looked over to the stuttering boy known as Jet. "I-I'll h-help out..." Blues narrowed his eyes behind his sunglasses, but said nothing else. "Well, you certainly drive a hard bargain Mr. Kaiba, but I care a bit less about the money than I do the fact that I can't remember a single thing past this morning. Don't get me wrong - I do care about the money." Hypatia commented. "I'm just a little more concerned that yesterday and beyond is just sort of..." She punctuated the last word with an exaggerated 'poof' motion with her hands. "Blank." Blues nodded, listening to Hypatia's concerns. He didn't have any solutions on hand... but... "That is troubling, most likely a side effect of the experiments," Blues decided, before looking to Mr. E. The white haired man pointed to himself, pretending as if he was confused. He then looked over to Hypatia. "That is indeed troubling... but I maybe able to help," Mr. E supplied. "However, I'm not a miracle worker. It may take a bit to fully recover your memories," Other people were talking to each other, but Tora let out a mighty, "Everyone, shut up!!" Fists clenched, she marched right up to Blues, arms shaking and knees threatening to buckle at any minute, which really made Blues cock an eyebrow. "L-look, I know I got the mark and the claw and all... but I feel like... the whole thing must be random. I'm not... I'm not a good duelist, I only know the rules and I've never really played much with anyone but my brother. I-- your offer is very, very generous, and... any of us would be stupid to say no. I want to help, but I don't think I will be a help." Tora took a deep breath. "But... but even so! I'm not going to back down easy. So if you'll have me... I'm in!" "But of course. Welcome aboard," Blues said with a smile. "Now, please dear, sit down for a bit. You look like you're going to pass out," Mr. E added, smiling gently. "I'm in!" Raijin shouted. "The sooner I get out of this mess, the better!" Blues nodded. There was only two left.... "I don't think... Mr. Kaiba, I think you made a mistake!" Leiko's voice broke as she stared at the ground, shaking. "You're talking like we're supposed to be some kind of heroes but... You don't want me. I know you don't." "Leiko!" The handler shouted her name, causing Leiko to flinch. "I can't, Morodate, you don't think so either. You know I'm not supposed to be here, Mr. Kaiba. I know it too. I... I want to leave. I can't do this." "That's the kicker, isn't it?" Blues commented. "None of you are supposed to be here. This godforsaken program should never had existed, and yet, here we all," Blues folded his arms. "If you don't accept, I suppose I can---," "Oh, hell no!" Zirco whipped his head to stare right at Leiko, his blue eyes blazing with fury. He stood up, grabbing his jacket and tossing it off, before grabbing his shirt and lifting it up, turning around so that instead of his toned stomach being shown, he was showing off his back. He pointed to the mark of the Right Wing on his right shoulder. "You got one of these, right? What did it take? A year? Less?" He pulled his shirt back down. "It took me thirteen years to get this damn thing! Thirteen years of those horrible experiments, every day. For seven of those years, I barely got enough food to survive, and sure as hell didn't have good clothes or a warm place to sleep. And yet here you come, skipping in and just getting one. So, Ms. Less than a Year, now you're gonna just bolt, leaving the rest of us just to suffer more?!" He bent down, looking her dead in the eye and getting right into her face. "Either you're doing this with us, or none of us are doing this, got it?" "That's enough," Blues said as he grabbed Zirco's wrist, "I'm not threatening anyone into service, and I won't let you do it either," "Let go of me, rich boy!" Zirco hissed as he yanked his arm out of Blues' grip. "It's your own damn fault we're in this hellhole in the first place!" Blues froze up, and the next thing Zirco knew, Blues had punched him across the face, causing the taller man to stumble back. "What the--- you bastard...," "Don't," Blues' voice became as hard as steel as he glared at Zirco. "Don't you dare insinuate that what happened to you is my fault. The sins of the fathers don't fall on me," "Says the asshole trying to make us into some sort of superhero hit squad!" Zirco snapped back. "I only came to you because there's no one left," Blues snapped right back twice as hard. "The original Signers, the real ones, are missing. Yes, a lot of them are old, but they haven't lost their edge. But they're gone, and even their families don't know where they are. The duel champion, Kyouji, is busying looking for Jack Atlas. Dread Knight won't even join, saying that only Hearthome was his responsibility. If you thought for one second this is my fault, you're a bigger dumbass than the reports make you out to be!" With that, Zirco struck, hitting Blues with a massive uppercut that caught the CEO under the chin and sent him flying back, landing on his back as his sunglasses fell off his face and clattered away. Yamada went to restrain Zirco, but Mr. E held out a hand, blocking her way. The fake Signer pounced, landing on top of Blues and cocking back his fist, ready to slam it down on the rich boy's face before he suddenly froze. A few tense seconds passed as Zirco seemed to be processing some information, information his body was blocking the others from seeing. Finally, he just stood up off of Blues, walking over to where the sunglasses landed. He picked them up, dusting them off and walking over to Blues, plopping them on his face. He then helped the CEO up, looking away and letting go of his hand the second Blues was stable. "I'm sorry," Zirco muttered. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to," was the simple reply. "I don't think any different of her," Zirco muttered as he headed back to his seat. Blues simply dusted himself off and stood back in front of the group like nothing happened. "Now, most of you gave me your answers, but I will reiterate and make clear what these terms are," Blues said. "If you choose to stay, you'll have six months to save the world. At the end of the six months, no matter what happens, you're free to go. If the world isn't saved, one million dollars and the benefits I stated before will be yours. If you do, however, well, a billion wouldn't be enough to properly thank you," he picked up the jetpack, strapping it back to his back. "Mr. E will show you around. For those that didn't answer, I'll have your final answers tomorrow," He said as the jetpack powered up and sent him back up the same way he entered. Mr. E simply cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Well, with that, let's get the tour started, shall we?" After everyone was ready to go, Mr. E headed, to the right, walking down the hallway. He was talking about what seemed like a bunch of nothing, but being cheerful as he did. After a few minutes of walking, he showed them their first destination. It was a large garage, and those with D-Wheels would see their machines were already here, parked nicely, and, shockingly, much cleaner than usual, to the point they were sparkling. The reason why was obvious to, as there was a blond young man sitting by one of the D-Wheels, waxing it and putting a lot of passion behind it. Mr. E cleared his throat, causing the boy to look up. "Oh, you guys are here!" with a large grin, the new guy walked over, wiping his hands on a cloth. "Wazzup? Welcome to The Signer Haven's garage. I'm Gil, and I'm---," He suddenly struck a pose, raising his hand to his face. "The one that fixes and improves your D-Wheels, the mighty mechanic!" With a smile, he continued. "If you need your D-Wheel fixed, or have an improvement you need installed, feel free to ask me," He dropped his pose and looked further down the garage. "That path leads to the race tracks. We got two, a standard oval track, and a track with a lot of sharp turns and other obstacles. If you wanna race, feel free to, just try to not drive out there too late at night, yeah?" The group then headed back towards where they had the meeting, and this time around, they noticed in the far back, there seemed to be a cafeteria. Standing behind the counter was a tall man with black hair, one that towered over all of them. He was currently cutting vegetables with what seemed to be a katana. He, unlike Gil, noticed them approaching and greeted them as they drew close. "Hello, my name is Barbatos," He said, his voice deep and gravelly. "I'm the cook. You can make your own food if I'm not here, but I would like it if you asked me to make your meals. It's my job, you know?" He still cut the vegetables, somehow not having issues despite how long the blade was. A nice smell was starting to fill the air, and he quickly turned his attention to a pot that was beginning to boil. Heading to the left, they soon came across to a new room, and this one looked to be a gym, filled with weights, and a track to run across. In the far corner, separated by glass, was a swimming pool. "This gym is to help keep you all healthy," Mr. E explained. "And if you wanna swim, the locker room comes with swimming clothes that should match your measurements," He said as he pointed to two doors, one for females and one for males. "This will probably be where I'll be today though, so if you don't like me, I suggest you avoid it," Heading back to the meeting room, the group was lead up a set of stairs to the upper floors. When they reached the top, they saw the hallway split to the left and right, with a door right in front of them. "So, your rooms are to the left and to the right," Mr. E explained. "Because we didn't want to stick you in cells, the rooms were heavily remodeled, but that also took a lot of space. You all are gonna have to pair up. 2 a room," He smiled as he spread his arms out. "You're all smart, you know that with the eleven of you, there will be an odd person out. Don't worry about it. I will sleep with that person! So don't worry about feeling lonely!" He then lead them to the door in front of them, opening it up to reveal a large library. There were rows of books, lined up to the ceiling, with a few sets of tables and beanbag chairs to relax at and read. Across the room, there was a large TV, with what looked like several video games attached to it. Three people were already in a room, all gathered around a laptop with several books surrounding them, one being male and the other two being female. Behind them was a big board, covered in papers and yarn, all intersecting and making a large convoluted web. The three seemed deep into their research, so Mr. E spun his wand, the piece of wood lengthening and growing thicker, until it was a large staff covered in vines and white flowers. He then tapped it on the ground, causing the three to look up. The male was the first to react, redhead standing up and approaching the group. "I see you all made it. I hope Mr. E didn't traumatize you all too much," He smiled as he looked over the group. "I'm Damian, the middle child. I assume you met my older and younger brothers Barbatos and Gil," He motioned for the two girls to come forward, which the two complied with. The older girl stepped forward first, her blond hair swaying in the nonexistent wind. "Hello! I'm Mango. Yes, I know, my parents were odd. I'm Damian's assistant," The brown haired girl approached next, bowing politely to them. "And I am Val, Mr. E's assistant. Or at least, I try to be. If only he wouldn't keep running off to do his own thing," She commented as she gave him the evil eye, causing Mr. E to laugh. "Yes, yes, thank you for taking care of me," He said, patting Val's head. He turned to the group of Signers, smiling wide. "And these fine folks are our researchers. We run everything we learn by them, and they're trying to see if they can't pinpoint our little blood ritualists," He then paused and looked over to the three. "You don't think the villains we're going against are Ritual users, do you?" "Already thought of that, sir," Damian commented. "So far, no results," "Ah, well, that's too bad," Mr. E then turned his attention back to the group. "Well, that's the whole tour. Breakfast should be ready in...," He stared at his staff, as if it would tell him the answer. "Two hours," He finally stated with confidence. "Feel free to do whatever while you wait! if you need me, I'm going to the pool!" He then walked off, pulling out a book and reading it. After a whole tour of being silent, Zicro finally spoke up. "You think we should draw straws to see who has to sleep with him?" OOC
  16. "And what of you two? Did you eat your fill? You're both so very skinny!" Kazo looked down at his stomach, patting it a bit. Was he really that thin? "I heard you were adventurers of some sort that sounds like an awfully dangerous thing for a group of young Gijinka like yourself. I wonder, what drove you to take up such a risky endeavor? Surely you must have homes to go to." She then brought a hand to her face and gasped. "Oh, I apologize if I struck a nerve. I'm afraid I can be rather nosy at times." "Well I won't turn down another bowl," but then looked at Kazo. "What about you, Kazo?" After hearing the question, the young cub thought for a bit before replying. "No, you're fine. And well, when I left home I wanted to become strong and make my family proud." He paused. "I still do. But I also found other people who I want to make proud too." He smiled at Mac and Kazo. Kazo chuckled and rubbed Ari's head. "Nah, I'm good," He answered before thinking about the woman's question. "As for a home... well... not really. I don't have anywhere to go back to... so I'll find a place for myself," He said with a shrug. Denku stood in the corner of the bubble, just keeping an eye out. He rather not have some sort of... nasty surprise sneak up on them, so he'd go from that silly big brother to the watchful one. However, it seemed people didn't want to leave him alone. One of the guards approached him, and began to ask him questions. Things about his clothing, about how dangerous he appeared, things like that. Denku chuckled and shook his head. "The mask just happens to look cool," He said as he tapped the side of it. "I have it on for medical reasons. As for my cape, well, I used to wear a scarf, but it didn't help much against the cold or the winds of the desert, so I upgraded to it. Never sacrifice practicality for coolness,"
  17. If you were gay, would that be okay? Hey, would you like you anyways?
  18. Bruce Lee It's an okay thread, but mine is better. Quality over quantity. Either Orange or Purple.
  19. Why are you so into the gay?
  20. "I don't know what... Marks, Duel Dragons..." Zirco looked over to Leiko, an eyebrow raised behind his sunglasses. Was she---? "I don't know what..." A deep breath was taken, trying to regain composure. "What is this all about? I... I haven't been told anything, I've just... been put through all these tests, and now there's more, and there's all of YOU... I don't understand any of it." He recognized that. That fear, that uncertainty. He was like that when he--- no, it couldn't be. It took years to... right...? "You're... you're new, aren't you?" Zirco didn't need confirmation. The way she acted, the fear... it pissed him off. His fists clenched as he gritted his teeth. He wasn't mad at Leiko per say... but... he had been in the experiment for years. Those years of suffering, training, dueling... the nights without food, without clothes on his back... and she just waltz in and gets her mark? What the hell?! "I'm Tora Mori and I just wanna go home..." Mr. E looked up, a small sad smile on his face. "I understand how you feel, but for now, you'll have to keep your chin up and keep pushing forward," He said, trying his best to encourage the group. He looked down at an imaginary watch, humming to himself. "If he doesn't show up soon, he's going to be late....," The magus muttered. Just as he did, there was a loud booming sound that filled the air, sounding like a small jet... and then someone dropped from the ceiling. As the figure neared the floor, the group could see that he was wearing a jetpack, which slowed his descent enough that he wouldn't injure himself when he landed on the cold floor. The stranger in question looked to be only about a year older than the oldest member of the Signers, wearing sunglasses over his eyes, and a distinct long white jacket along with a black scarf wrapped around their neck. Both articles of clothing flapped in the wing, along with the man's short spiky hair. When he landed, he slipped the jetpack off of his back, the device landing on the ground. "Excellent landing, Mr. Kaiba," Mr. E stated with a smile, clapping his hands. ' Mr. Kaiba' nodded before approaching the group. "I was never good with pleasantries, so allow me to cut straight to the point," the man said. "My name is Blues Kaiba, and I am the current head of Kaiba Corp, have been for the last month. About two weeks ago, I had learned of Project Crimson, and reading up on it, my first instinct was to shut it down. I still intend to... however...," He paused as Mr. E tapped him on the shoulder. "A few of them expressed concern that they didn't know what was going on. They would need an explanation on what Project Crimson even is," he informed. Blues nodded, stroking his chin. "Well, then, I suppose I'll tell you all that. You deserve to know," he said. "40 years ago, my grandfather, Cyan Kaiba, created Project Crimson in order to tap into the Crimson Dragon and artificially create Signers and Signer Dragons. 'The world will always need heroes', he said, and I guess he believed the ends justified the means. My father, Azure Kaiba continued in the research, but he pushed everyone much harder than my grandfather, and well, that's why you all were subjected to all those experiments. You're actually the third generation of experiments, and the first successes," He paused to take a breath and push up his sunglasses. "In short, you all are successful attempts to harness a supernatural energy and channel it people in order to create heroes. But, before that, you all are people, and you weren't treated as such. I had planned on letting you all go, help you get started in life but... it seems we can't do that just yet," He folded his arms. "All around the cities, people have been vanishing, anyone from the hobos on the streets to high ranking people, like my father. That alone is concerning... but sometimes, we find those people. They were killed, for some sort of ritual we don't understand just yet," Mr. E spoke up at this point. "As far as our intelligence can tell, whoever these people are want to summon something. What that is has yet to be determined, but obviously, blood rituals that kill people aren't summoning a God of Candy and Sunshine," Blues nodded. "Right. So, this is my offer to you all. You work with me for six months as Branded Signers, and help me save the world. When those six months are up, however, you're free. You'll be able to leave, a million dollars in your pockets, and a house provided in any city you want, no rent and no bills. What do you all say?"
  21. Raynor sighed to himself as he rode on Gojira's back, wiping sweat from his brow. He was tired, not that it was particularly anyone's fault, he just spent most of the morning trying to make an extension to the stables. Up at sunrise, he got to work, chopping down trees and generally doing the best he could with his limited handiwork. He was determined to make this happen though. He was so determined, that... well, he broke the wood chopping axe. It was embarrassing enough, but he wasn't going to burden anyone with it. The group split up when they got into town, leaving only Raynor and Yue together. Raynor knew that the small woman didn't seem to like to talk to him, so he stayed quiet, letting her fawn over Gojira. It made the lizard happy anyways, and a happy lizard was a hard working one. Soon, however, a voice called out to them. "Hello there travelers from distant lands!" Raynor was pretty confused. He couldn't tell where this red head was from at all. "I too am a traveler, so I know that you must long to see exotic goods but also pine for those that remind you of home. Well fear not weary travelers, for Anne's Shop of Assorted Goods, Books and Trinkets, all sales final and non-refundable, is just the place for you! Well, well?" Raynor looked over this Anne, and decided there wouldn't be any harm in looking. Maybe she would have something useful. "Alright, what do you have?" Rubbing her hands together she smiled saying, "well, take a look!" Knocking on the cart beside her, it opened suddenly to reveal its contents. "I sell a lot of different assorted goods, mainly for those of the magical variety. You don't seem like a staff kind of guy, but I do have," she pulled out a series of Dark Magic tomes. "Very rare to get around these parts, but I'm sure these exotic tomes are just the thing for you were feeling homesick." Raynor looked at her dark tomes, interest etched on his face. He had heard stories of a few of his ancestors being able to wield Dark Magic, but it wasn't like everyone in his family could do it... but... what was the harm in trying. "How much do you want for those?" A glimmer shone in the woman's eyes as she presented three different tomes in front of him. "Well, it depends on what you're looking for. Beginner material here, goes by Shade, usually goes for 500 Gold with the more advance Endusk being 790. The dusk one, a good middle ground for people who have the basics down, is 580." Raynor folded his arms as he looked down at the books. He probably should get Shade, seeing as he had no clue how to actually do magic... but maybe Ada could help him out and he could skip to Dusk? Maybe if he bargained with her, he could get both. He looked up at the woman and realized... it probably was a bad idea to try to bargain with her. He still needed a lance anyways. "I'll take a Shade," He finally said. Tossing the two other tomes back into her cart she said, "wonderful! Of course tomes aren't all my wares. What with your scarred appearance I'm sure you find yourself on the front lines, evading danger at every turn. Well fret not valiant warrior, for I have the thing to defend you." Pulling out both a feathered earring and a leather shield she said, "this shield here will cushion you from blade and bows letting you zip through the feel with more reckless abandon. And this charm, well, it says it bestows a nimble grace unto its bearer. And," she leaned in whispering, gesturing towards the white haired girl saying, "it makes an excellent gift for the ladies." Raynor rubbed the back of his head as Anne tried to get him to buy the charm. "Nah, nah, we're not like that. She's just here for my lizard," Said lizard let out a sassy snort in response to that. "Anyways, let me see here...," He could feel his brain snapping itself in half as he tried to resist the urge to buy the charm. Sure, he needed a weapon, but he could use those to well... hopefully smooth things over with Yue... then again, he needed a weapon... but he could also get a charm as a thank you gift for Ada. She put up with Gojira a lot, and he never really properly thanked her for finding Gojira. "Look, I only have 600 on me," He said, deciding to take a risk. "Would you... be willing to sell two charms for 600?" It could work, right? Anne seemed to be deep in thought as he made his proposition, furrowing her brow a bit more before finally saying, "well, I'm not fond of cutting deals. But, I suppose I can make an exception." With a mischievous smile on her face she said, "and who knows, maybe we'll meet on the road again and you can pay me the difference." Presenting the charms to him she said, "it's been a pleasure doing business with you." Raynor handed over the rest of the contents of his wallet over to Anne as he took the charms. "Likewise! If we meet again on the road, I'll be sure to buy from ya again," He turned to Yue, before gesturing to Anne's direction. "So, do you wanna buy something here?"
  22. Shiro was exhausted to say the least. He didn't expect to be locked into battle with so many undead monsters just as tanky as he was. It was a true battle of wills, and in the end... well, Shiro didn't really win, not really. It was more like the others beat out the source. Hey, that was fine with him. They then met an abbot, one who offered them change, but... Shiro didn't think anything of it. What would he change into, a frog with wings? There just wasn't really anything he could change into. So he decided to stay at the sides, waiting for everyone else to finish. He then overheard a conversation... one that both interested and confused him. "so, thanks for coming in and helping us and all but like...who the fuck are you?" "Who am I? Who are you to talk to me in such a tone? Why, I've never heard such foul things spoken in the presence of a lady coming from someone who wasn't a criminal. I hope that I did not sour my divine radiance by working with such a man." She cleared her throat lightly and somehow sat even straighter on the back of her horse. "I am L'Arachel, the Holy Princess of Rausten, Divine Messenger of Peace, and Smiter of all things Evil." "A lot of fancy titles...," Shiro commented softly. "And royalty to...," She was trouble, he knew it. Still, he knew better than to speak up or against such people. "Well, thank you very much for your help, your Highness. Hopefully, we can repay you in someway," Honestly, most of it was lip service to make sure she wasn't angry at him. Usually, a happy royal would ask you to do something and then just ignore you. Hopefully that was the same principle applied here.
