  4. Alexis noticed that she had put Yue on the spot. The girl didn't seem prepared to be asked, well, anything really. Honestly Alexis was mostly impressed at how nervously someone could say something that was such a safe bet. Right, they'd need to find somewhere by the water. You didn't exactly store a boat on land and, even if it was, they wouldn't be able to use it. It was Yue's finishing statement that really caught Alexis's attention. "Um...maybe someplace secret...near the sea?" As soon as the girl uttered those words Alexis's eyes lit up. She looked at Yue with a big grin and a face aglow with happiness. "Secret? Sounds exciting. Come on, let's go check around." She then took Yue by the hand and led the girl out of the bar and towards the docks. While she didn't keep hold the whole way Alexis made sure to stay near Yue as they made their way through the busy market, not wanting to get separated. She gazed around the docks with a small amount of wonder. "Wow, just imagine where all these ships have been...if only I had time to ask their captains." She noticed the armored folk but wasn't too nervous. Neither of them were Jouran and there was no way the soldiers had already reported the previous fight to those here. "Wait. No way." Alexis muttered as she saw...that. She didn't have much information to go on but right there, in the open, was what had to have been the bull's vessel. "I think...the good captain may have been drunk off his rocker." Alexis said. She saw the people milling about, not looking suspicious at ALL of course, and nodded towards them. "I don't think the bull mentioned a crew. Methinks they might be up to something. Why don't I go check it out?" She winked at Yue. "Be sure to cover me." Alexis then headed over to them, strolling casually, keeping her hand from the lance slung across her back. "Hey there, what's the hubbub about?" The man looked the girl up and down, giving his best try at a scowl at her and saying, "it's our boat. We're doing boat things, with our boat." Now that just didn't sound right. "Oh, really? Strange, was pretty sure this boat was owned to that big man back at the bar. Huge guy, mane of hair, throws people around like they're sacks of potatoes. You his crew?" "Yeah our boss is huge and all! So huge he owns a boat now!" The man proudly gestured towards the boat, though still faced Alexis saying, "you can bask in the glory of our boat all you want, but from a distance girlie. This boat stuff is Skeletree business, got it?" "Now? So who owned this boat before? Must've cost a lot to get something like this." Alexis said, looking it up and down and giving a low whistle. "Who cares who owned the boat before? Probably the guy the boss bought it from? That's how boat buying works around here. After all," the man turned around and looked at the boat. He paused for a moment, staring blankly for a moment and gulping. Turning back to the girl, unnerved he said, "well anyway, it's our boat now. What's it to you anyway?" "Well, it's the strangest thing. We were asked to check on a boat exactly like this. That a man who certainly isn't part of a group as...colorful as you owns. He's supposed to take my group somewhere and, well, we can't really go anywhere if his boat is being held up somehow." "That so? Damn shame. Hope you and that man find the boat you're looking for. Not this one. This is our boat. And we Skeletrees don't take no passengers. Except ourselves." The man seemed to be far more dismissive of Alexis now, hurrying his words and trying to shoo her away. "Right, right, suppose I should go grab the captain and bring him here, see if seeing this boat jogs any memories of what could have happened to his own. " The man let out a nervous chuckle, saying, "that's right, ya should scram. Get out of here. No need to bring anyone else here too. None. At all. Ya should go look at other boats instead. Cause this one right here, jogs no memories for anyone. Except us. Because it's ours. Yeah." As the man started to get more flustered, more of his fellow crewmates looked over now towards Alexis, and some began to approach. Alexis gave those approaching a friendly wave. "Ah, no, I think this one he'll really want to see. He's not far so I'll be sure to grab him quick." She started to back away but kept an eye on them. As Alexis began to back away, two more of the thuggish looking individuals walked up. One of them looked to her, and then the first person she was talking to say, "is she giving you trouble, Tars?" The flighty man, Tars, looked over to the new guy saying, "you better believe she is, Rass. She keeps asking about the boat and who owned it before." Rass raised an eyebrow, looking Alexis up and down, saying, "that so? Well, if you're so curious about our boat, then why don't we go and give you a tour of it." Alexis's smile grew wide and she casually adjusted her stance so her hand was nearer to her lance. "Well, aren't you a gentleman. I might have to take you up on that offer. After all I'm sure someone can grab that bull of a captain without me." "well, that was a nice change of pace. I wonder what everyone else is up to," Right, the others. Rona had almost forgotten about them. She felt oddly pleasant as they went about buying clothing for the two of them. A strange relaxation that Rona couldn't quite describe. If she had to put a word to it she'd have to call it...peaceful. Though she felt ashamed that the others slipped her mind. "Ah, yes, we should gather the rest. They must be so lost without us, haha!" "though, I suppose we can also find something to eat on the way too." Rona smiled at this and nodded. "Aye, let's get something to eat. Erm...what would you like to eat, commander?" She looked around, unsure where to go for food. She was used to just eating from their supplies so the idea of going somewhere to get food in the moment felt unusual. Leon thought on it for a moment saying, "I don't know. And with as unusual as everything else has been in this town, I don't think I'll find much familiar." Shrugging he said, "but let's look anyway." As the duo started to hunt for food, Leon looked at one of the first things they passed by. It was a stall selling kebabs of squid and various vegetables. "Can't say I've ever tried this. Want to?" Rona was starting to wonder about Leon's constant asking for her opinion. At first it confused her but she was starting to work out a theory that he simply liked to be agreed with. Which Rona was more than ready to do. "Yes, sounds like a plan." Rona approached the stall and got two kebabs for herself, neither with vegetables, and started to eat before hesitating. "Ah, sorry, I should wait for you to get yours." "Hm?" Leon waved the girl's concerns off saying, "don't feel like you have to wait for me. Especially if you're hungry." Leon looked at the different kebabs for awhile, seeming to ruminate far more than necessary on which to pick out. After a bit though, he picked up two himself, before biting into them. His neutral expression didn't seem to change much, asking, "what do you think about them?" Rona contemplated what he asked. Was there an answer he was looking for? But, no, he didn't make it so he had no reason to care. "Meat from the sea is much different than from the land." She decided. She took another bite. "But I think it's...good." "That's true. This is much different than bear." Eating more of it, the boy nodded saying, "it's definitely unique. But if we're ever in a market like this, we should get more." "I'll remember that, and keep my eyes open. I wonder if wyverns like fish...." She gazed at the food again and decided to get another kebab for Cormag. She looked up and saw the wyvern, who had been following them from roof to roof as they went about their day, and beckoned him down. He landed with a large gust of wind, startling those nearby, and Rona held the food out to him. He took it so hastily that the girl had to pull back to avoid him eating the stick as well. "He's smiling." Rona noted. Though the wyvern didn't seem to have changed expression one bit.
  5. "then eat before you play!" "I did!" Hana proclaimed proudly. "But that doesn't mean I can't eat again. There's too much good food in the world to limit to just a few meals in a day." She then noticed Makoto taking one of the donuts and zipped her way over. "Now now now, you should really ask first, but I'll let it go. You just owe me a donut later alright?" After all now she had a couple less than she came in here with. Which meant she might still be hungry when she was through with this. --- Hana spent the rest of the time dueling without the use of the holograms. Using one hand to play the game, despite the struggle of keeping her cards hidden while setting things down, while the other took donut after donut. Practically inhaling them at points. Once the coach called it off Hana jumped to her feet and gave the woman a salute. "I'm sure I'll forget to practice but I'll try and think about it!" She declared before zooming out of the building and into the great outdoors. It was starting to get late, somewhere around evening...But Hana was still wired up and ready to do something. She tried to remember if any of the other clubs were doing anything this late. Surely one of them she'd be in, right? That's right, the Film Club! They always stayed late, often later than they were supposed to, and always had SOMEthing to do. One time Hana dressed up like a zombie and pretended to eat someone! Though she was pretty hungry at the time and accidentally did bite the main actress. She hadn't been back since then now that she thought about it. She bet they'd be happy to see her again! She was right. They were, in fact, so excited that one girl, who Hana recognized as the zombie victim, fell out of her chair with a scream after seeing her.
  6. Jokes on you, I played Days of Ruin lol So imma say... Gage or Tabitha. 45
  7. Given the first part I assume you mean from any FE. And in that case...that's actually pretty tricky Maybe Ranulf, from Path of Radiance. He is sorta a laid back dude who doesn't try and stand out much but still has to take command often and tends to be the one to get stuff done. This guy also he's a cat, nya 44
  8. now I'm tempted to get a list of traits and find the most suited FE waifu for you... But anyway hmm....What was the first video game you played? Completed? Rage quit?
  9. I know you're not the uh...biggest Fire Emblem fan But from what you've seen, based on design, are there any characters that interest you from it?

  12. "Almost thought I was gonna lose for a second there!" "No way why didn't you?" Dinah said. She was staring in disbelief before returning her Pokemon to its Pokeball. "Well...alright fine, I guess you won that one. I-I just was a bit worn out from fighting 19 other people today." Her shoulders slumped a bit as she pouted. Then she slapped both of her cheeks and pointed at Ivan. "I'll get stronger. Stronger than anyone! Then I'll become the Champion of this region and make this a place that people don't have to be scared of visiting. So I can fight even more people!" She then looked over at the other two, sticking her tongue out at Belle, and starting back down the path towards the previous city. "Next time someone asks you to battle you should do it, it'll be good for your Pokemon." Naomi watched Milla and her Litleo, which wasn't a Dragon she remembered, from on top of Princess. The Pokemon was stirring under her. Clearly getting antsy, though it would be hard to tell from anywhere other than on top of her. "Y'wanna battle too?" Naomi asked. To which she received a snort in reply. The girl hesitated. She was somewhat tired. A battle seemed like it'd be work. But, her Pokemon wanted to do it. Not just Princess but she felt Knight's ball move slightly when she mentioned a battle. With a sigh she reluctantly slipped off of Princess's back. Which was when the Onix erupted from the ground. Naomi looked up, and up, and up, and fell onto her back as she looked up at the Onix's face. Next to her she saw Princess bristling and glaring at her fellow Rock type. "Oh, she wants to fight it doesn't she?" Naomi overheard what the new boy had said, something about jumping in and Ember, and for a moment thought about sending Princess into the fight. But then she remembered. "Princess doesn't know Ember." She said. Glancing around and settling on Milla's Litleo she continued. "They do though." Nodding to herself Naomi steered Princess, still glaring, away from the Onix and into the grass. Where a group of Spinarak, disturbed by Milla's earlier encounter, tried to jump Naomi. They were soon sent flying as Princess rammed her horn into bug after bug. Soon Knight burst out of his ball and, despite Naomi's weak call for him to stop, rammed his own body into another Spinarak. As Naomi tried to get that under control Bug popped out of his ball as well and latched onto Naomi's shoe. He tugged on it and pulled it off. Causing the trainer to fall over as the others did battle. Which was when she decided she would give orders from down there.
  13. 6.5/10, not bad, sorta forgettable?
  14. "I'll go help too!" Gunther gave a smile at the girl's words. He was thankful for the offer. Especially as he wasn't fully certain what he was going to do to put the fire out. That is until he found some barrels. Some of them seemed to contain wine which Gunther had a feeling wouldn't do much to help. But there were also some barrels containing water. "Here we go. We can use this." He said. Then, with some effort, rolled the barrel over to the flames. It was heavy and he nodded to Tsetseg to help him lift it. Though even together it seemed difficult. So, sheepishly, he called out towards the princess. "Catriona, er, would you mind lending a hand with this?" He was ashamed to be asking this but Catriona was the strongest among them and everyone else seemed more busy or beaten up. Gunther decided to use his lance to piece a hole in the barrel with his lance to allow the water to trickle out freely. Making sure to not overturn it until he got more help to actually heft the thing. "Some Knight I am." He said, not realizing he said it out loud. Though the only ones near enough to hear him would be Tsetseg and Catriona herself if she had gotten nearer by then. In the brief moment between asking and waiting for help Gunther thought over the day. Wondering just what he did today that was of any help. And he realized that, once again, he was drawing a blank. Perhaps he would have done them better staying back in his post. While she had several people that she was paying attention to Penelope was rather pleased to think that she kept up with them. She even noticed Alois's little spat with that girl, and she was certain to take note of that, that they had rescued from a furry fate. “My sincerest apologies for my impropriety, my lady. My name is Abdul Jalal Al-Azif, a humble merchant and traveling scholar. I only recently arrived in this town when I heard your struggle, and I only approached with the intent to help whoever was in danger with what little magic I know. I hope you will be willing to allow me to make a more proper introduction for someone of your regal bearing once the situation allows!” The response made Penelope smile and titter. "You know, truly humble merchants don't need to call themselves thusly." Yes, there was something more to this one. He certainly was doing his best to come off simple and not noteworthy. But note she did. She wondered what more secrets there were to be had. Their own secret, though as it stood it was barely a secret anyway, came out of Catriona's mouth. "But it's as my sister says. If it troubles you then you may call me by name. I wonder what your own goal is. You are a merchant yes? What wares were you bringing to this city?" She cast a glance over to the mayor. "Don't think I'm done with you yet." her eyes clearly said, though he seemed to be distracted at the moment. She would deal with him momentarily. Though she made sure to, loudly, mention "I'm thankful for my impressive memory. There's so many noteworthy things in the mayor's home that are just so...fascinating." Clearing her throat she gazed back at the stranger once more. "Thank you for your help, Abdul, it's not everyone who would rush in to help others in such a way. Though I'm sure you can see, despite the injuries, that we are capable of protecting ourselves from...threats." Cora's relief was immeasurable. Acantha's reaction. Her fight with Alois. Her treatment of the wyvern, which brought to mind Cora's horse and she momentarily wondered if everything was fine with hi, everything just felt so familiar. Even the mayor's scatterbrained but focused attitude at the mention of a feast was relieving. Everything was truly getting back to normal. She wasn't sure mere minutes ago if she'd ever see her town as it once was but now...well, things were jumping back into place. It started as a giggle. Then a snort. Which turned into full blown laughter that caused the girl to double up. She wiped at her eyes which had both tears from before as well as tears of mirth. "Everything...is going to be alright." She said, nodding to herself. She then straightened up and cleared her throat. "Um, right, thanks to you all for helping. I wish I had been a bit more helpful..." Her eyes widened. "I should go check on the others!" She turned to the mayor. "Sir, where should I start?" She had seemingly, for the moment, forgotten the secrets that she found they were hiding from her. Though that surely would come back later. Right then she just wanted to make sure everyone was safe.
