  12. Keres didn't greet this "new Chosen". The mage instead stayed back near where Reinaan was and observed the girl. She seemed somewhat small, and acted stiff, but it was clear that this girl was in fact chosen by a spirit. Keres had to wonder at how this happened. Nothing that she knew pointed towards this possibility. She supposed if anyone could do it it would be the council. And it wasn't like they couldn't use the help. Either way Keres didn't feel as comfortable as Ryia and Lindow with approaching and speaking directly to the girl. She must know who they all are by now anyway. "I'd like to request healing for our wounded, and access to any armories and supplies you have available." Lindow then proceeded to request aid from the Council. The Water mage watched as Braxus's face darkened and James's appeared amused. "You overestimate what we have available." James said, waving his hand. "It may come as a surprise but this land does not have the most resources. No, I do not believe we can spare any more than we have in terms of supplies. We need to keep the country going after all." "We can repair your current equipment, and anyone in need of healing just needs to ask." Saleh said gently. "As for that device, yes, I can provide some assistance in making it active once more." "Once all that is sorted out, we'll be able head off to the next target. Would you gentlemen have any insight on which gate that should? Or any other useful information for that matter? I'm sure you've been very busy whilst we've been out doing the leg work." Braxus stood up. "I don't like your tone, boy." He said. "We all have our jobs to do and you already know yours." Saleh placed a hand on the man's arm but Braxus remained standing. Watching Lindow. "The gates are unfortunately hidden from us. The only way we will be able to tell for sure where they are is if they are active. Which is...undesirable. However we do know, from history, that each island beyond this one houses one. Which you should go to next...is uncertain. I'd suggest something with terrain you all are more...familiar with, if possible, however." Keres, with great effort, leaned in towards Reinaan. "Your...erm...your arm." she mentioned, looking at the damaged limb. "I can't...do anything about that myself."

  16. "you're all welcome to come along with me and speak with her if you like." Rona nodded firmly. Of course she would go with. How could she not? She needed to be there in case the girl said anything...important. The Wyvern Rider glanced over at Yue, who still seemed to be resting, and knelt by her. "If you wish to stay here that's fine. You know where to find us if you need us." She smiled at the archer before getting back up and following Leon back to the girl. Who she didn't imagine was happy to see Rona again. "Fine. If you won't let this go, what do you want to know?" Should she say something? After all it was their leader who should be asking these questions right? But then again...She decided to step up next to Leon, though still somewhat behind him in deference. "I believe I already asked you a few things. If you're going to get escort the escort will need to know where you're going, and why....and what sort of trouble they should expect to follow you." Edda seems to have a more annoyed expression on her face as she sees that Rona is with them, but says, "Enta...is where I'm going." The girl begrudgingly added, "I need to get a ship. To Yon'Lou. I heard it was the best place. As for trouble...well, no more trouble then you would expect." She says this more directed at Rona personally, then the group. Rona narrowed her eyes, took a step forward, and opened her mouth. What did she know? There was something about the way she said that which put the girl on edge. She glanced over at Leon and stepped back into place. "I see." She said simply.
  17. The Skrelp Harbor lighthouse. Up close it was clear just how large the structure was. It would tower over many buildings were it not separate from the rest. It also seemed to not be very well maintained. With vines covering much of the lower half of it. The bird Pokemon that Ivan had spotted were nowhere to be seen, having scattered as the group approached, and there was an eerie silence besides the splashing of waves onto the side. The one part of the building that seemed to be well taken care of was a ladder that looked newer than the rest. Which went all the way to the very top of the lighthouse, likely for maintenance. There was a door on ground level however. It was metallic, and rusty, with nothing but a bar across it keeping it closed. "I see, I see. Well I can always take one off your hands! It'd be no trouble whatsoever!" The man laughed. "Well these suckers are supposed to get dropped off but if you'd like to take your chances catching one of em feel free to. As long as you don't mess with the crane." "Has anyone looked down there for why there's so many Skrelp? If it really is a food thing, it could probably be moved to a safer spot with a bit of work." "I'd like to second that question. Is it perhaps a toxin in the water? Some corporation's runoff, that the skrelp are feeding off of? We'd be happy to take a look." "Well we don't have much funding to really research that kind of thing. Specially with the League how it is these days. This may take more time but it's a lot cheaper than moving a whole mess of food. But if you really want to check it out you can go rent out some diving suits in the city. Just gotta wait a bit while we clear all this up first." Naomi groaned and shuffled forward, flopping onto Oswald's, her head on his shoulder. "I dun wanna swim." She mumbled. "Too much...water. Too much movin'. Do we hafta?"
  18. Morgan and Cyanthrax "Why are humans so stupid..." Morgan might have responded to this but she was focused on the sight before her eyes. Why him? Of all the people she didn't expect to see that boy here. In a much more intense than usual tennis match. Something about it seemed unusual to her. She knew that Camille had come from somewhere else. These two seemed to know each other. And they were "battling" on equal level. What if... "Looks like we got new blood. Wanna go see what they're made of?" "Huh? What?" Morgan turned her attention to the demon. New blood? Already? If she were being honest she kind of wanted to stick around to watch this. But she didn't want to admit to that. Especially not when it had to do with that weirdo. "Tch, fine, let's get going." She tossed her hair and went with Cyanthrax out of the stadium. "Dragging me all over the place, god, this is such a pain." She declared. --- The girl that Morgan saw as they entered the now familiar virtual room didn't seem all that impressive. Her introduction much less so. "My name is Morgan." The girl began, speaking up first. "Greatest witch in the world and your clear superior." She rolled her eyes. "I suppose you're one of those tomboy types. Let me warn you right now that if you try and make me get into sports you'll regret it." She glowered at Cyanthrax. "Isn't that right?" Xia The tennis match was reaching a fever pitch. Both sides seemed to be finally truly getting into it and, quite literally, the heat had been cranked up. In fact Xia would even be able to feel a bit of it from her position. And then something happened. Camille missed a swing. Their gaze traveled up to the stands behind Valerie and he shouted something to Valerie. The girl turned and looked and her racket fell from her grasp. Following their gaze Xia would see someone standing on the edge of the stage. Wearing a brown cloak that covered them head to toe. But there was something in the hood that could be seen. A flame. And then from the sleeves of the cloak came two massive gouts of flames that struck the opposite side of the stands which erupted into fire. People started running, screaming, and over the sounds Xia could hear Camille shout out. "Valerie we gotta get everyone outta here." And the two began to direct people to the exits. A blur went passed Xia and she saw a woman standing in front of her. "Xia." she said, the voice sounding somewhat familiar, "help them get people out of here."
  19. One good thing about the wisdom teeth removal is it's teaching me to eat less.

  20. Conversation starter...success? Gabby wasn't so sure. Not only was Melissa so quiet, thus making it harder to read how she was really feeling, but the girl had an air about her that made Gabby wonder if she just wanted to leave. Had she come at a bad time? Did Melissa have something to go to that she was stopping her from? Before the girl could go too deep into it Melissa countered with a “How are you?” "I am doing wonderfully, as always, don't you fret!" Gabriella announced. "I have a feeling that today, like all other days, will prove to be most rewarding to me." “Are you- Are you going to your team meeting now?” The time it took to reach this point made Gabby worried. She had an uncomfortable feeling that this kind girl was onto her somehow. Able to see through the front that she was putting up. But how? Gabby tried so hard to convince even herself that this was her natural self. In the end the girl simply was asking where she was heading. Making Gabby feel foolish for thinking that the girl meant to unmask her. "Yes, and I would love the company of course. I'm used to a horde of companions traveling with me so this is simply the natural course!" Melissa offered to lead and Gabriela simply shook her head. "Oh, no, never fear, I shall take the lead! It is my duty to be at the head of any progression." Why? Why would she do that? She didn't know where they were going so she should have just let Melissa go first and figure it out from there. And so it was that the two girls, not knowing where they were going, both unwilling to admit to it nor ask if the other knew the destination, meandered their way around the campus.
  21. It wasn't a good time to be Bandito 2. He had managed to drag down Sammi's mech but the girl retaliated quickly after. With only his one harpoon holding onto the mech he wasn't able to control it enough to prevent from taking heavy fire. Adding onto that that Kelsey, being in prime position to attack, also unloaded rounds into the Bandito's side and the mech clearly wasn't going to hold up for much longer. In fact as Chase used his sword on it the mech couldn't take more damage and exploded right in front of him. The shielding that Chase's mech had been given wore off and, from such a close range, the mech itself took minor damage. Kelsey, seeing the young man's white mech getting into close combat, had to force her shots upwards to avoid peppering him with bullets as the Bandito was destroyed. "Whoooa, cutting it a little close there aren't ya?" The last remaining Bandito watched as Erica took off towards the floating orb. Without hesitation they decided to follow. Erica's mech would take fire from the front and back, her sword doing little to block the rain of bullets, and the shielding faded quickly. Leaving her armor exposed and under heavy fire. She managed to reach the orb but, due to its position in the air, was unable to reach it with her sword and the Bandito, positioning itself behind her, fired a laser blast into her mech's back. Warning messages appeared to let her know that her mech was beginning to take serious damage. And all the way back on the "tail" of the ship Julian was facing similar issues as he seemed unable to avoid the constant fire from the turret of the other orb. "What do you mean not much help? You're going to be a pilot too right?" Bianca asked with a look of confusion on her face. "Things seem to be going our way though, right?" "Yeah, I guess so? It looks really sloppy though." The girl responded, shrugging her shoulders. "But I guess that's what can be expected." "Don't be too hard on them, we're all first years after all." A male voice sounded. A handsome young man strolled up to the two and gave them a kind smile. He moved next to Stella, looking over at the screen. "I think they're doing just fine." He said with a nod. "They're lucky the bandits seem to be rather uncoordinated." Bianca muttered, turning away, looking more awkward now that the boy had joined the two.
