  1. Odd that the creature wasn't even attacking you lot until you attacked it...perhaps it wasn't a good idea to-... "This is NOT the time for this!" Trevor shouted, immediately sealing the grimoire and yanking it to the side by it's chain as he watched as both Fen and Aduain were being swatted by the creature. He moved a bit to where he could get cover, before immediately casting Cure on both his party members (once they were in view) and then quickly casting in succession Aero. "Now we got some defense for you..." He glanced out from cover to see what he could on this creature. True to his previous analysis, it seemed to be a pretty lazy creature. That said, when it got really angry and annoyed, it made an action...a sort of...blast of focused energy or something. Perhaps if anything we could try and hinder it's movements... Trevor thought, rubbing his chin slightly. Let me think...if Aduain could douse it with water, perhaps Fen and I can use a combined effort of ice magic in order to freeze this beast in place. It's not the best idea, but it's one of the only ones we have... The moment Trevor noticed Fen, he whistled to her. "Ice Princess, I have a plan...not a good one, but it's a plan regardless." he said, explaining in detail to her what he was thinking. "If you can assist me with this, perhaps we can freeze it in place and keep it from doing any more harm. We just need to get our fishy friend in agreeance with this little plan. Either way, can you assist me with this?" he said, immediately opening the Cabanomicon, his blue gemmed ring glowing in unison with the open book.
  2. In truth, Ziun wasn't expecting to garner a bit of a crowd as he did this...not at all. However, he found it fitting...that the power of music, moreso, his playing would bring others to allow them to enjoy it. Now whether they continued to go about their business or stay and listen, that was truly up to them and not him...the love of music truly was a fickle mistress, much akin to his muse, the Goddess of Poetry and Music. However...finally something did catch his eye, or rather someone. Apparently, there stood a man...one rather flamboyant in his attire but nevertheless, he seemed to be humming along to the tune he played and brandished quite the interesting flask which was adorned in precious jewels of various colors. Truly mesmerizing to say the least. However, when Ziun took notice, the flamboyant man flashed him a bright smile and gave a low chuckle. "Seems like someone is in a good mood. Let me guess, you found a lovely lady for your own? Or perhaps you stumbled upon a treasure...well, I suppose they could be one in the same." This caused Ziun to elicit a chuckle of his own, only returning his smile with a smirk. "Truer words have never been spoken, my good sir." he said, nodding. "Alas, the only lovely lady I have for my own at this moment is my muse...my Goddess of Poetry and Music...but one day, there will be the most beautiful pearl I'll have ever laid eyes upon will come into my life...and that will be both my lovely lady and my treasure." He paused his playing, before deciding to graciously take the flask and a swig of the drink that was in it. "My thanks, I was a bit parched. But I shall indulge you on why I may be in a good mood. This city, this town...this place...it's teaming and buzzing with life. So many sounds, so many stories waiting to be told. How could someone like myself not take in the atmosphere and not be in quite the giddy mood?" he said happily, before removing his hat and bowing slightly. "Ah, my manners...I suppose an introduction is in order. I am Ziun Castir, a humble bard from the Bard's College of Glamour in Steelhorn. And who do I have the pleasure in making the acquaintance of today? I'll venture someone who obviously has impeccable taste in music if my playing got you into humming along it."
  3. Make a Joyful Noise “More goes into this place than you know, so I am glad to hear you say that. Welcome, Kitt Axton of Taros. I am also glad, of course, that you found your altar satisfactory. With gods and goddesses dying out, it’s important to hold onto the ones still watching over us, and, well, knowing that Taros is still appreciative of any just work is meaningful to me. Perhaps later you might bless our altar so that it might remain here just a bit longer.” "I am the hands and feet of my patron and my will is his will..." Kitt said simply bowing slightly. "I would be honored and delighted to bless the Forge-Maker's altar to insure it's continued stay." He gave a small smile, but he wasn't too fond of hearing that one line she said: with the gods and goddesses dying out. If they ended up dying out...what would this mean for the Watchdogs...all Watchdogs here in Naviim...or worse...what would this mean for the creation that Taros had a specific hand in creating and meddled in: he himself? Questions for another time... “This one, for example, continues to wane. I think I know why, and yet…For now, though, it is still alight. Joy will need this tonight, I think. Especially with your arrival, I’m sure she wants to make the best impression she can.” Her eyes flickered with mourning, but it was just that, a flicker...but even just that flicker, Kitt could notice something was off there. Regardless, enter Joy herself...the Watchdog of Laeta, the goddess of...well Joy...truly a match made in the heavens. “But where are my manners? My name is Joy and I’m privileged to be Laeta’s watchdog. Would you mind telling me what your happiest memory is?” “Ah, yes, of course. Before you go through these motions again, I will be there at your behest with whatever else you desire. I look forward to it. In the meantime, I suppose I will continue my work. You have questions, I can tell now. When you’re done with this, you know where to find me.” Kitt nodded in the direction of Laura, before turning his attention to Joy, bowing slightly. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Watchdog of Laeta. I'm Kitt Axton, Watchdog of Taros." he introduced himself, before ruminating on the question she presented him. "My happiest memory...I believe it was the day I became a Watchdog in full. Truly a joyous day for myself and those who were able to see my progress up to that point." "Kitt, ol' boy! Where are you!?" For a moment, he thought he heard a faint sound of someone calling for him...from the sounds of it...Olive. Kitt gave a slight smirk, shaking his head. I suppose he could wait a few...after all, he's kept me waiting quite a bit before. Only right to return the favor. he thought, now beginning to turn towards Laura and approached the young woman. "You spoke earlier, that you know why the altars are continually waning...and you used Lar's hearth flame as an example. Pray tell, what is the reason? Is it because people are finding it easier to pray and worship Lar from the comfort of their own homes? Another island I visited, Galatea, had the same issue with the temple of Lar...his acolyte Aiden told me this much."
  4. A typical Froura morning...least that was what he was assuming. Truth be told, if THIS was a typical morning in Froura, then Ziun would definitely be in a world of hurt. Still, least he had a blast the night before against his newfound comrade in the "dread" pirate Robin. Though this hangover wasn't doing him any favors, he figured by the way the sun was...she was already up and about...which meant he was the lazy one. Oh, he was sure she'd rag on him for that...along with putting his liver to the test the night prior. "I suppose that's what I get for challenging, of all people, a pirate and sailor..." he groaned, getting up and preparing himself for the day. "...truly the one set of people in this wide world who have iron livers...ah the best combination in this world, an iron liver along with quite the fount of knowledge in regards to their countless shanties." Ziun fixed his hair and fastened his coat and hat, looking himself over in the mirror, grabbing his Elegant Melody and of course...his trusty lute. "Not a hair out of place...as it should be. Now, let's see what we can accomplish today." BGM Leaving the Drooling Dragon, Ziun took in the fresh air and the liveliness Froura had to bring, as he grabbed his lute to simply strum a few chords, hoping to get his creativity flowing as he walked through the city streets. Passing by every vendor stall he could, Ziun truly was getting a feel for this place...a lot more then he did when he first arrived here. After all, when he first arrived here, he was just pressed for wanting to find a team and crew to follow down into the dungeons so he could tell their stories (along with partake in the glory, of course). But now, after his brush with Robin, he figured things were preparing to look up. It meant now he could actually take the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the city in fully. And he was truly getting the feel of it...as this bard even proceeded to hum to himself, even managing to find his groove in a nice little melody that truly spoke to his soul about this locale. Perhaps his melodic talents would lure others to him...true it might not work, but at the same time, being simply at the Drooling Dragon lured Robin to him and their fates were tied this way, so perhaps this would also work just as well.
  5. Team Iron Spider The planned worked...though the ending part of this improved plan was actually something neither competitor could've imagined happening. But regardless, it happened. On Benjamin's mark, Risa pulled a now fully bitten and webbed up Mayu's bola and down to the ground she went. What transpired next for Atsushi, well... “ATSUSHIIIIIIIIII!” "Wait...oh man that guy's gonna..." Benjamin started, watching this falling blue haired young man falling to his inevitable doom...until Atsushi was now grabbed by the falling student and having his descent being slowed down, almost to the point where the one individual's feet were at the ground. Of course, the one student was already on the ground safely...but now Benjamin looked at the one seeing him so close to the ground. "Risa...Risa the weight!" he said quickly. No sooner after saying that, the young woman began to pull the weight and it came at full speed, zooming towards Atsushi and clipping his legs in turn causing the young man to start spinning violently in the air. From what Benjamin also noticed, Risa pulling something else: the small target. Or at least she would be...if he didn't notice something else snagging it...a tongue...a lizard's tongue. Rika, no doubt about it... ...and without much of anything else...Atsushi fell onto the ground in the most comedic way possible, about the time the buzzer sounded. "And that concludes the Chicken Fight portion of this year's Sports Festival. If you will all direct your attention to the big screen, the bracket for the last phase will be visible, displaying our top eight." Benjamin was surprised...even at a loss for words. The top eight...Sun, Shannon, Rika, Takehiko, Diana, Kio...and then Risa and himself. He stood there in awe for a moment before looking at Risa with a smile. "Hey! Congrats! We did it!!" he said joyfully. Risa stared up at the scoreboard, her eyes wide and twitchy. "Did we live?" she asked hazily, sounding as if she were talking through a head injury. "Thanks to our combined efforts, we sure did!" he extended a fist towards Risa and smiled, the two bumping fists with each other. "We got each other to the Top 8...now we really get to show everyone what we can do." After this little exchange, Benjamin let Risa go meet up with her friends, figuring now was probably the best time for them to part ways for the time being. Would fate bring them together in a match? He wasn't sure...same time, he wasn't even expecting to arrive here, but now that he was...he-... "Benjamin O'Hara? Are you as surprised as we are to see you in the top 8?" He blinked for a moment, seeing himself now cornered in one of the hallways to the locker rooms. By whom, one may ask? Answer was simple: reporters for a TV station. It was...odd...to say the least. Out of no where these vultures descended...and this TV station was...basically one that dealt with gossip but at the same time, it spoke the truth and did actual journalism here and there when it was beneficial for them, if Benjamin was correct. Still, least it wasn't anything majorly incriminating. The question was asked once more, which released Benjamin from his stupor. "Oh...uh...honestly, I am. Don't get me wrong, I was fine just making it into the Top 16, but I wasn't expecting to make it to Top 8. Guess it just helps that I had a great partner that round." "It definitely helps to have someone with such a heroic legacy to ride along with. So what is an American doing at UA?" Intrusive, aren't they? he thought, but focused a bit on the beginning. Again with that... "Heroic legacy or not, Risa was a great partner." Benjamin dismissed this comment originally, cause it didn't matter who her father was...she was her own person. "As for the question at hand, well you know how it is, family moves due to a job opportunity for your parent and the local Heroes just ignited the spark to be a Hero and where else to learn from then the place that has given us so many great Heroes!" "The local heroes inspired you? Someone your age must have been a big fan of Omega Star growing up, right?" "She was alright...no disrespect, but..." he paused, before looking away for a moment. A slight sigh escaped his lips before looking back, deciding now was the time to just say it. "...Eight-Legged Hero: Silky was my Hero..." "Silky..? I can't say I'm familiar." This made Benjamin's heart sink at hearing such a revelation from these people. "I believe she was still a student at the time I met her...and she saved me that day..." he started explaining, he seemed lost in his thoughts at this point. "She was the one who ignited the spark in me...I owe everything to Hachimoto Sayaka." "It's not unheard of for hero students to dabble in heroics once they are licensed. Where-..." It seemed the reporter said something...but Benjamin heard the words begin to trail off. He closed his eyes, letting out a sigh as he thought upon the events of that day. The memories were still vivid...just as if it happened yesterday. BGM It was supposed to be a normal day in December at the mall...more specifically the newest mall that opened for business, Nev-Arro Central Mall. Of course, Benjamin was there with his mother off to do a bit of Christmas shopping, the young child wanting to find something special for his father for a gift. Unfortunately, it never panned out that direction… Benjamin's mother was talking to a friend she bumped into and he went off to look at a few windows with some new flashy toys and electronics, so he separated from her. That was when it happened...in a blur, what went from a nice, calm winter day became a hellish nightmare in an instant. Panic ensued as three villains took over the mall, but what was worse, Benjamin was now separated from his mother in this panic...the mall was currently on fire and he was trapped on the inside. The only thing he could do was having to hide away just to make sure he wasn't found. But with the smoke from the fire filling the mall...the sounds of coughs could be heard everywhere. What of his Quirk? His Spider Colony Quirk couldn't help much...but try as he might, he did work with his spiders to try and keep an eye on the situation. He didn't want to run into the villains...he didn't want to be found by them… I...I don't want to d-die… Benjamin thought, coughing some more. He prayed his spiders would catch the eye of some Pro Heroes...or the police...or someone. Tears started to well in his eyes, having every possible scenario play in his head. That's when his spiders caught sight of something. Or rather, someone. They caught sight of her. He looked up, seeing a young lady, the bottom half of a spider and the rest like a normal girl. Although she had soot and wasn't looking the best, Benjamin could see the pure sincerity in her eyes as she held out her hand. "Hey little guy." the young lady spoke, a small cough coming from her. She motioned with her eyes to her hand, the young boy now noticing there was a spider in her hand. "Guessing this is one of yours. Lucky he found me, and good on you with that Quirk of yours." The spider jumped from her hand back to Benjamin, who was sniffling slightly. "Go on, just take my hand. I'm Silky, I'm a Hero." A Hero? And she was a spider girl...and...she complimented his Quirk. Benjamin nodded, immediately taking the hand of Silky and he was whisked away. He covered his eyes, he didn't want to see anymore of this. But eventually, he felt the winter air hitting him and he finally looked to see that he was outside. Silky put him down and immediately his mother was rushing to him in a hug. Benjamin would immediately turn around to try and thank the Hero, but all he saw was the spider girl scurrying back inside the mall to rescue others. He stayed there near the mall, sitting in an ambulance as he was checked up on by some paramedics. That's when the mall finally collapsed...and of course, the Hero that saved his life, was gone. Benjamin couldn't believe this...he wouldn't believe it... It was however true, as Benjamin found himself at the funeral for the Hero a few days later. After hearing and reading about it, he begged his parents to let him go to it, to which they graciously accepted this for him. He was silent the whole time at the funeral for Silky...no...for Hachimoto Sayaka. He noticed that there were many different Heroes and students there to pay their respects, but he didn’t pay too much attention to who was there. As some were already expressing their condolences and best wishes to her family, Benjamin slowly approached the casket and just shook his head, keeping himself from crying. “...I...I didn’t even get...to say thank you...” he muttered, sniffling lightly before wiping a few stray tears. “...t-t-thank you...Silky.” He moved away, not before placing a rose made of webbing on the casket. “...y-you...were just like me. I...just wish I had met you...b-before...” As he left the funeral, Benjamin could hear something from his spiders: "She saved us...can...can we do that?" This was a question that Benjamin never had crossed his mind. He wasn't as strong as the Eight-Legged Hero, he couldn't make his own webs...he was simply a guy with a mental psychic link to his spiders in which he housed within him. But then again, it did beg the question...could he do that? Could he be a Hero like Silky? It was that day he decided...no, they all decided that this would be the spark to reignite his want and desire to become a Hero. "We've lost one spider hero...we need to be there to take up that position…" Benjamin thought, looking at a few of the spiders that were in his hand. "...we'll be a Hero that Silky would be proud of!!" "O'Hara?" Benjamin once again was snapped from his stupor as he cleared his throat. "I'm sorry, could you repeat the question?" "Where is this hero operating these days?" "..." Silence fell over Benjamin, sighing heavily as he rubbed the back of his neck slightly. "She died...Nev-Arro Central Mall's burning building collapsed and she was lost in it..." "Oh. Well, uh, good luck." That was it...that was the end of the interview? Benjamin sighed, watching the group leave immediately as he just leaned back on the wall and let out a heavy sigh. ...never heard of her? ...she saved so many people that day...myself included...h-how...how could no one even have heard of her? he thought, shaking his head slowly. Same time, he figured one person would've known with the memory he had: Kio. Perhaps that would be a question for him later... Right now, however, he had an hour to kill...he needed to mentally and physically prepare himself.
  6. They continued to move up...up...and up still, though Trevor did begin to notice something: these creatures were no longer pursuing them. It seemed like they were scared almost, it seemed strange but then again, this seemed to also reflect general and basic animal pack instincts. Whatever creature was up at the top here was basically the "alpha", and these creatures feared this one's power and position...it just made too much sense. Nevertheless, reaching the roof there was quite the scene. Broken tables and foreign machinery twisted and broken as they were, along with several chunks missing in the floor...it provided access to see the floors below...also perhaps a possible escape route just in case. Trevor made sure to keep that in mind. But what floored him...was the creature. A massive gorilla...laying on it's side...not paying them any attention. "It really is like that damn book..." It really is like that damn book... Both sorcerer and grimoire responded in kind to seeing this creature like this, before the former actually began to investigate it (from a distance mind you). It was large...much larger than the creatures they fought earlier, that much was painfully obvious. It also seemed to be in a loafing mood, maybe even preferred to be simply lazy, given it's general appearance and demeanor. "Curiouser and curiouser..." Trevor muttered, shifting his position some as he continued to investigate the giant creature. "I can't be sure...but I want to say this beast may be a lazy one." Glancing at the state the roof was in, he sighed some. "I could be wrong, but at the same time, it's strange that this creature hasn't so much as batted an eye or even it's large fists at us for intruding like this. It's baffling..." Still, they had a job to do, as Trevor returned to his original position and looked at Fen. "What do you think, Fen?"
  7. Sit Beside the Fire The temple was quite one Kitt was surprised with. While the buildings around it seemed ruined, for lack of a better word, this one seemed...in a sense...complete. The only thing touching seemed to be time and time alone. Given how most the other buildings on the island were, he figured this would be the same, but instead...it wasn't. There might've been a slight relief to the Watchdog about this being the case...it could've been a whole lot worse. Regardless, Kitt entered the temple that resided here on Andalou and saw a young brunette woman at an altar that was most familiar to him...the god of the Hearth...Lar. “Hello, and welcome. What can I do for you? Which altar is yours?” The young man simply smiled and pointed in the direction of an altar with a lone blacksmith anvil with tools laid in front of it. "That one specifically, ma'am, as I'm a Watchdog of the Forge Master." he said, before moving slightly in the direction of Lar's altar. "At the same time, I do have some attachment to this one as well..." Kitt watched the small ember that lit the altar of Lar before smiling. A slight sigh escaped his lips as he had his hands shuffling into his pockets now, just seeming to be lost in watching the flickering embers. I wonder...how are you both doing on Galatea right now...Aiden...Emily... Kitt thought, becoming lost in the thoughts of the beginning of this little journey before ultimately returning back to the present moment. "Apologies...memories were arriving to me." he said clearing his throat. "My name is Kitt Axton, as stated before, I am the Watchdog to Lord Taros. I simply was arriving here to see the state of Andalou's temple...truthfully, I see it's quite in a pristine condition...which is truly impressive."
  8. "The winner of the first match between Team Genesis and Team Free... Is Charlie Robin, Captain of Team Free! Let's hear a round of applause for them!" These words made Daichi sigh heavily, looking at the screen and seeing the fact that Sai lost. "From on top of the world, straight back down to earth..." he sighed again, shaking his head. "...still, he gave them a show. And for our 'heel', guess this'll give the audience the chance to see him fail and crave that more if he keeps up the heel aspect of his performance.'" Still, while the young man was ruminating over Sai's Duel, Eve's Duel came to a close with her victory. So perhaps this wasn't a total loss today. Even so...Daichi noticed Vega standing up...oh she wasn't looking too good. "Ugh... Hey guys, I might need to dip out for a bit. So, uh... meet up and have your discussion here when it's done, yeah? And then the meeting will be on Tuesday... Sorry..." "Alright coach...try and get better." he called after Vega, before shaking his head. "And this is why you don't drink the night before a big match..." Later "And with that, this match comes to a close, with a draw! Neither Team Genesis nor Team Free walk away with a win this week, due to a single misplay sparing Team Genesis! Despite their strong start last week, are they already out of steam!?" This was...a predicament. And without Vega here to start these proceedings off, it was up to them...so joy... Daichi glanced at the three that came from the match and greeted them with his trademark smile. "First things first, I guess. Coach had to dip for a bit...probably due to the drinking the night before...but still, she wanted us to do the meet and discuss thing." he explained the best he could before chuckling lightly. "Me personally...I think you three did great out there. And really, if you want to look at it...we technically didn't lose this match up. I mean, it's not a win but it's also not a loss...so I'd call that an accomplishment too!" He was trying not to specifically stare at Sai the entire time, only because he didn't want to make the guy feel even worse than he already did...if he felt bad that was. Same time, he also didn't want to specifically call him out on his constant playing defensive which was extremely uncharacteristic...even for him. Daichi was an avid believer of everyone having their own style of Dueling and that style eventually evolving into something even better...but this...? This was something else completely and he couldn't put his finger on it. "Anyway, I've said my peace...so who's next?" Daichi smiled, putting his hands behind his head.
  9. Not winter, I can tell you that... Let's say, I enjoy Fall. Not too hot, not too cold...and not OVERWHELMING with pollen T-T
  10. The eve of a New Year...let's ask some questions, shall we?
  11. Lot of Words “What word, ‘Sparky?’ I’m not sure. I guess if you want to get really technical, it was probably my grandpa deciding I should be called that instead of ‘Charly.’ I dunno, I kind of like it, and everyone else seems to otherwise they wouldn’t call me that. You can call me what you like, though.” This initial explanation Kitt was given by Sparky or Charly or whatever his name is wasn't exactly what he was expecting at first, but then the young man moved and smirked before giving him something to work with. “Nah, I’m just teasing. I knew what you meant. t͠at҉ib͠us̨. And like my name, I’m not actually sure of the first time I heard it. I might have even gotten it from Ricky. And here, I’ll give you this for free, too: I bet you’ll get the same answer from most everyone on the island. This certainly isn’t the first time Ricky’s heard it, that’s for sure.” They've heard it multiple times then? Hmmm...this is a strange thing. Same time, it doesn't feel like the law of cycles nor the stone curse...perhaps it's different in general than others we've heard and dealt with. Kitt thought, moving to write down this new word in his notebook, only to notice the other word once more: Ca͢n̷t҉icųm̕ad ͝ ̷ . Immediately he closed the book and put it back in his bag. “But if it bothers you, I mean, hey, I won’t use it in front of you then. It’s all right. Bigger problem would be getting everyone else, especially during Joy’s parties. Oh, speaking of, Ricky, you’re coming tonight, right?” “Of course I am. Isn’t everyone?” "This word gets spread around during these parties of Joy's?" Kitt asked, before trying to think of what the next option was going to be. "In any case, I may take my leave now and head to that temple. Perhaps if anything we'll meet up again at this party...who knows." He turned and left Sparky and Ricky alone now in this shack, before he began to make his way to the temple. Check the temple first...then, perhaps invite myself to one of these parties...provided it's an open invitation to these things. he thought, shaking his head slightly. All this seemed to not make a whole lot of sense, but he knew he'd get to the bottom of it sooner or later...though he hoped it would be sooner rather than later.
  12. Richard vs. Kiyoko "It may not be as grandiose of a start as some...but me and my knights are hoping for one fiery Duel. So it's your move!" “Very well, my turn. Draw!” Glaring at the face down monster, Kiyoko took little time to mull over her turn. “I summon Jain, the Lightsworn Paladin." "Hmm a Paladin...heh, basically starting off with your own knight against mine?" Richard nodded. "A true sword and sorcery moment here right now." “And you will not find my knight lacking. Jain, attack!” Raising her sword into the air, paladin’s blade glowed as the monster strengthened itself (1800 ATK → 2100 ATK). Charging ahead the lightsworn brought her sword down on the set monster, Infernoble Knight Ogier, felling the knight in one strike. With the battle over Jain hopped back to Kiyoko’s side, her sword reverting to its original state (2100 ATK → 1800 ATK). “With my attack finished I set these two cards face down. And due to Jain’s effect, at the end of my turn I send the top 2 cards of my deck to my graveyard.” As the girl moved her cards around she looked at Richard, nodding. “Your move.” Turn 2 - Matsuyoshi Kiyoko [8000 LP | 3 Cards in Hand | 2 Card in Grave] Summons Jain, the Lightsworn Paladin [ATK: 1800] Sets 2 S/T on the field Mils two cards Turn ends "Very well...draw!" Richard drew for his turn, nodding slowly at the card he drew. "I summon forth, Infernoble Knight Oliver, in attack position!" A knight appeared with a flurry of swirling flames, brandishing his blade that shone in the light. "Now he may seem like not a threat in the slightest, due to his 1000 attack, but I assure you...Oliver here has heart and the support of his comrades." Richard smirked, using his Duel Disk to select a card from his grave. "At this time I activate Ogier's ability! While it's in the graveyard, I can select a Warrior monster I control and equip him to it. Naturally, I'll be selecting Oliver!" Once the selection was complete, directly behind Oliver stood a newly revived Ogier, knelt down and seeming slightly ghostly. Of course, this signified him being equipped to the monster before him. "But this is only the beginning…" he immediately took two more cards from his hand. "From my hand, I activate two Noble Arms Equip Spells...firstly...Gallatin, which gives Oliver an attack boost...bringing him to 2000 attack!" Now in Oliver's hand, Gallatin materialized and proceeded to boost the warrior's attack. "And the second...Clarent!" In Oliver's other hand, the sword Clarent appeared. "Now by the effect of Clarent, at the expense of 500 Life Points, my knight can attack you directly!" Richard said, grinning from ear to ear. "And before you get a thought...due to Ogier, Oliver cannot be destroyed by Card effects. That said, do I see or hear any response from you, Kiyoko?" Furrowing her brow at the attack, Kiyoko shook her head. “Continue.” “Very well.” Richard nodded, exhaling slowly. “With that said, it’s time for Battle! And it’s here where I’ll pay 500 LP due to Clarent’s effect and give my Oliver the power to attack you directly!” Richard LP: 8000 -> 7500 “Now go, Oliver! Attack Kiyoko’s Life Points directly!” Richard declared, sending forth Oliver with a strong fervor as the knight closed the gap between Richard’s side of the field and Kiyoko’s, immediately passing by her Jain without so much of an afterthought and in one swift movement, struck at Kiyoko with both of his swords. Kiyoko LP: 8000 -> 6000 “And now, that’s where I’ll call it a turn.” he said, watching his knight return to his side of the field. “You’re up Kiyoko. Let’s see what you can do to counter that.” Turn 3 - Richard Wallace [7500 LP | 1 Set S/T | 1 Card in Hand | 0 Cards in Grave] Summons INK Oliver [ATK 1000 -> 2000 | Equipped with INK Ogier, NA Gallatin, NA Clarent] Turn ends
  13. Notes the votes thus far ...I feel this is gonna be bad. And this is gonna make Santa Martha unhappy now T-T
  14. "Trevor, that like, tornado thing you do. Could you make one? Oh and uh, you both might want to take cover." "Just point me in the direction and I'll cast what I can, Fen." Trevor nodded. It would be something new for the young sorcerer to use any of the Aero Spells for something that wasn't defense, but at the same time...sometimes the greatest spells and magic came from improvisation and doing things in a new manner. But nevertheless, once the weapon Fen made was launched from her hands, he knew that was his signal. "Aerora!!!" As the wind started to pick up and create a vortex, the ice weapon was picked up and began to spin around. But this was only the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. The next thing that happened was Fen firing an icy arrow into the giant ice ball and thusly made a rain of sharp icy fragments...oh that's why she said... "Aerora!!" Trevor shouted again, this time placing a temporary windy shield around himself, Fen and Aduian to protect them from the debris. "That...was very dangerous...I should...that needs some work before doing again." "Still, you did quite the work." the sorcerer nodded, before glancing back at the amount of creatures struck, wounded and even impaled by the icy debris. "Besides, you gave me a manner of utilizing a normal defensive spell into something that could be worked with offense, so for that I thank you." Tipping his hat slightly, he could still hear quite the commotion between these creatures...so best time for another thing. He removed his hat and tossed it into the middle of the area where most of the creatures were still piling in from. "And now...Balloon!" Trevor shouted as balloons began to emerge from his hat, forming a ring around the hat and the creatures that were near it. And like clockwork, curiosity got the better of them...and they moved towards the balloons, which caused them to get knocked back and even knocked into the air because of it. The fall wouldn't hurt them too much, perhaps only knock them unconscious. "That's another set down..."
  15. I'll nominate, since there's only me and Doggo and the only one I want to vote for is Moriarty...without further ado: Saint Martha (since you won't allow me to just say Ruler Summer Martha ) Sherlock Holmes Iskandar Senji Muramasa Seigfried
  16. "Hell yeah! Your partner's got some Guts Elt! Wam! Bam! Give 'em the ol' one, two!" "He certainly does..." Elton nodded with a smirk at seeing Berg just meleeing the Flymon as much as the tiny ice dino could, though he did his best to kind of keep the two of them on balance with the board, feeling Aoki shadow box like he was. "H-Hey! Easy with the shadow boxing there, chief! Otherwise we're gonna fall!" he grumbled slightly. "Yo, Elt, what are the chances we can incase this sucker in ice? I bet with Reef's water stream, and Berg's baby hail, we could put this Flymon on the rocks!" The young man looked at Aoki and then looked back at the situation at hand. His hand was brought to his chin as he thought the idea through a few times. "Hmmm...given the fact that we've downed it, possibly removing it's air mobility wouldn't be a bad option. If anything that'll keep it grounded for a ground assault to have any real lasting effect." ...plus, ice damage is pretty detrimental in any given game... Before he could really give an answer, Aoki was already ordering Reef to assist with Berg and bring the water to hose down the Flymon. While that was happening, he noticed a Commandramon assisting with covering fire against the Flymon. Elton simply gave a bit of a two fingered salute to the Commandramon before looking at Aoki. "Honestly, your surprising me with your thought processes, Aoki. Shame you went Brawler and not Card Master...I'd think you'd be quite the strategist." he chuckled, before looking to Berg. "Berg! New plan: freeze the insect utilizing Reef's water!" "10-4 on that, Elton!" Berg flashed a thumbs towards the two Tamers and kept dodging the water jets that Reef was firing off. "Nice shot bud, now let's get this nice and chilled for him. BABY HAIL!!!" The ice dino fired off another set of icicles in the areas that the water hit, in hopes that it would freeze.
  17. Word Up “It’s not - okay, so the tools are just like normal tools. But they’re mine and that’s the important thing. The tools, anyway. It’d be like if someone swiped that blade of yours. You ever had to deal with something like that?” "No one has really swiped my blade from me before..." Kitt responded, shaking his head. "However, as one who deals with quite a handful of tools myself given my initial trade, I understand the need for your tools. After all, as you said, they're yours and you've put blood, sweat and tears into things with those tools." “The book, I mean, yeah, that’s more important because I borrowed it from Joy so it wasn’t even mine to lose -- that’s why I said she’d probably be more bothered about it -- but it’s also like the only book on the island, so it’s not like it got lost in a stack somewhere. Honestly, someone has it who shouldn’t with that one, probably. Anyway, to answer your question, no, things don’t get lost all the time on Andalou, or even ‘get lost’ -- nobody’s really stealing stuff. On another day, I might not even have approached you with the problem I got; things find a way to work themselves out here. But you’re here, you know? I’m sure you’ll run into something more worth your while but in the meantime-” That's when Ricky bumped into Hemsley, who seemed to say that things were ship shape...despite their bumpy reception into the port of Andalou. However, he couldn't help but ponder what Ricky spoke of. Things don't normally go missing and things find a way to work themselves out...this was becoming one of those scenarios that he was curious why the gods sent him and Olivander this direction...but then again, if it had something to do with the word he heard when he arrived...then it had to be something important. Still, what could it truly be... Before long, Ricky delivered him in the direction of Sparky's...which seemed to be the dockmaster's shack...but at the same time, it was obvious it really wasn't. And that's when things took an interesting turn... “Was wondering if you knew where my tools got to last night. Stake hammer especially since, you know, a ship arrived. And that book I got from Joy too.” “Doesn’t really sound like a problem” “I mean, it’s not a big problem, but it is a-” “No. Like, it’s not a problem. t͠at҉ib͠us̨.” “Oh yeah, I forgot.” For a moment, Kitt tensed up hearing that word that Sparky spoke: t͠at҉ib͠us̨. He didn't know what it meant, not like the one he heard on arrival to Andalou...but his ever watchful eyes noticed something...the moment it was spoken, Ricky seemed to start relaxing and no longer seemed as jittery as he was before...what was more, he dropped his questioning. The Forge Dog looked at Sparky before, moving forward slightly. "Excuse me...but I'm curious...where did you hear that word...Sparky, is it?" he asked casually and calmly.
  18. Le bump... I'm home today, hoping and praying my car gets fixed so I can go to work tomorrow. Ask me things, ya filthy animals.
  19. Open Ended Adventure “Well, hey, I mean, I probably don’t know what’s specifically wrong, like, what’s wrong with our island that both means the gods have sent you and that other one here but also what’s wrong in a way that the watchdog already here couldn’t solve, but…” Kitt noticed Ricky seeming to pause mid-sentence there. He seemed to be lost in thought...for the most part anyway...but then once he got back onto the tracks, there he was rattling off again. “Oh, yeah, I’ve got a problem, actually, I lost a bunch of stuff last night, like, tools, though those I probably just left out; a book, that one’s super important; and, uh, you know, stuff. So now that I’ve remembered I gotta check with the harbormaster n’ start looking I guess. Lost stuff, is that the kind of thing you’re going for? Gotta find Laura too, she’ll probably be able to help me out. She’s a real great finder, actually. If you ever need something found, you just gotta find her first. Probably at the temple, I bet? This early in the day? Yeah, probably. Oh, and maybe Joy too, if she’s not doing anything else. She’ll probably be upset about the book thing but ehh that’s my lump to take, not yours.” "Lost things, huh?" Kitt asked, rubbing his chin slightly with his eyes closed. "Probably not initially what Taros has me here for, but helping people and serving them is what a Watchdog's job is amongst spreading the word of their patron and the like. So I'll definitely help you in that venture if Taros' will allows." ...even though what Flynt told me still holds true that my will is also Taros' will...but I digress... “That way’s the temple. Not counting the ruined castle, it's the biggest thing on the island so I don’t think you can miss it. I’d guess you either do that or follow me after that captain and see what Sparky’s been up to.” Kitt gave a smile with a slight nod. "Well, I may need a guide to assist me around Andalou...so I'd be humbly gracious if you could assist me in that venture." he said, glancing over at the temple's direction. "I can try and have you lead me to the temple here shortly, but for now, I'll join you with following. While we do that, perhaps you can tell me more about these missing items...and how long that's been happening." ...same time...I need to find a chance to talk to Olivander...especially about that word being told to me. I have a bad feeling about it...
  20. This was definitely something he wasn't used to...cruise ships, sure...but a air ship that literally was zooming across the skies way up off the ground...nope, that was a new one. The queasy feeling in his stomach emerged in great fervor, as Zane held his stomach whilst also trying to hold onto something to stabilize him. Of course, he wasn't going to verbalize his queasiness, not after Ken did and immediately getting told not to by Chimera in quite the threatening way. "Eggsaw Cruiser Mach 2.7.0.1, engage thrusters to maximum output!" "We're gonna have to come up with a better name for this thing. And a Team Name! We've gotta have something cool like that when we're on a mission to save the world, right?" "I say we stick with Eggsaw Cruiser Mach 2.7.0.1....a perfect name made by a perfect organic. As for a Team Name...Team Meatbags +1." "You've got no style Chimera. But it'll definitely be voted on! As for my suggestions, how about...the Dawn Piercer! And Team Shadow Stompers!" "H-Honestly..." Zane finally spoke up, having regained his composure from the sudden take off. "We could always combine the two for it...the Egg Dawn Piercer perhaps? That alone is a pretty chill name." he smirked, before crossing his arms and humming to himself slightly. "As for the team name...Shadow Stompers and Meatbags +1 sound too...wordy. We need something that just rolls right off the tongue, ya know?" He began to pace, rubbing his chin slightly. "Hey, how about Team Horizon?" Zane asked the others. "I mean, the sun rises and sets over the horizon...and if Ken wants to use Dawn Piercer, perhaps we can use Horizon as the team name. Just a general thought really."
  21. "So, we got a shortcut or something? These guys are kinda boring." "The game presented to you isn't as palatable to you as a Hunter?" Trevor asked, dodging a few of the quick strikes from these creatures, before grabbing the chain around the grimoire and proceeded to swing the now bound book around him as if it were a medieval flail, immediately smacking one...then two...then three in rapid succession. "Honestly, these things are nothing like the Undecided...or even Heartless, so seems like they'll be able to be taken down just as easy." He stated this proudly, as he smirked and immediately froze the ones that he hit with his grimoire where they laid on the floor, keeping them from getting back up. "However, our fishy friend does pose a good question on if there's a shortcut. Something tells me that if we remove the 'king' from his throne, the pawns here will basically stop going into a frenzy and may quiet down." But with the elevator down, there's no way to just go up aside from the staircases...alas, if there was only a teleportation spell I could've learned...or maybe even the spell that grants the user flight. Trevor lamented, smacking another of these strange creatures with his grimoire before freezing it in it's place. "I'd be open to suggestions at this point."
