  1. Edda at first seemed to be stunned by the retaliatory response from Ada, surprised by her reaction. As the shaman explained where she was from, Edda couldn't help but explain why she was indeed a weirdo, though the girl started to feel a sense of guilt well up inside of her. As Ada continued to rant at her, this guilt however soon gave way to feelings of frustration and anger. Her expression going back to incredibly annoyed, Edda just said back, "hey I wasn't being a b-b-, er...you're the one who started it...weirdo. Hmph!" The girl dramatically started to stomp, folding her arms with a pout on her face. Walking away from Ada, the girl was now rather steamed and not quite paying attention to the tension in the front of the group. She wasn't being a bitch, if anything, Ada was the one being the bitch. Bitch. Though Leon was none too happy with Alexis's jab at his love life, or lack thereof, the boy didn't make much of a comment on it as he still seemed to be thinking about who it was that had spotted them. It was clear that his aggitation was apparent to the others as well, as Yue had walked up and seemed to be panicking from the whole situation. As she asked him what to do, the boy looked at her, clear uncertainty in his eyes as well. If they were who he thought they were, then reasoning was likely not an option. Even if it were, what they would have to give up would probably be too great for him to go with it. But fighting would be just as bad, and fighting out here in the open would likely be the worst place they could do so. His options were limited but he had to think of what to do, think of the best course of action, think, think, think - "Wait." Opening his bag, the boy pulled out a map of Aeora. Looking at it, he had a reasonable idea of where they were, and looking around he knew where best next to go. "We'll go to the Mella Valley." He pointed to the hill formation on the southern end of the map. "I'm not sure how much of an advantage it might give us, but we can still make it to Enta through there." Putting the map away, he shouted to the pegasus knight, "Alexis. Did you hear that? Get Rona and tell her where we're going to." Speaking louder he said, "Falcons, prepare yourself for the worst, and let's pick up the pace."

  4. "Gaahhh! What is your - come on already you stupid - " Jacklyn continued to let out noises of frustration as she made her way to pry off the Rattata that was firmly stuck on Belle's face. She was clearly having trouble with this beast, as it seemed quite intent on biting into the young girl's face and wasn't budging much. However, Jacklyn decided that enough was enough and went to go full force into taking this stupid rat off her friend's face. Pushing herself closer, the girl practically wrapped her arms around the Rattata, bringing up one foot and pushing it into Belle as if to give herself something push off of to help hoist the rat off. This was, of course, not a wall but a person she was pushing into and so she almost immediately stumbled and fell backwards. However, at the end of it all, her sudden tumble had been just what she needed to pry the rat off of her friend. And so, lying on her back and holding the pokemon in the air, she shouted, "ha! I gotcha!" Oh and it also looked like she just won her battle against the thug. With a big smile on her face she shouted, "way to go Cherry! You show - ah, settle down - Belle!" The girl shouted back to the trainer of the Rattata as it started to struggle in her grasp and bite at her face. As the thug left, tossing the bag to the group, Jacklyn simply had an annoyed expression on her face as he walked away. There was a very familiar feeling she was feeling as the whole thing settled, but she didn't really dwell on it as the kid who the bag belonged to had come back into view. As he praised the group for defeating the thug, Cherry pridefully jumped into the air and seem rather content with herself. Looking at the boy, Jacklyn, still on the ground and wrestling a rat, simply asked him, "did you drop this earlier?"
  5. I'll look at the man a bit dumbfounded. Then I'll look to the other ancient and say, "uhh, well, you heard him. It's uh, not that hard."
  6. "I see. Well, keep on eye on the church for now." I go into a bar to check it out.
  7. With tools in hand, Stella blushed as Kelsey made her comment, but seemed to be rather silent at it. Instead, the girl looked more downtrodden then anything, briefly looking away with the only words that she muttered in response to it being, "sorry..." Taking a deep breath, Stella turned her attention in full to the arm of her friend, getting ready to begin "operating" on it, so to speak. She didn't really have much in the way of mechanic experience, though due to her own leg she had figured to read up on proper maintenance and in the process had gotten a bit interested in the topic as a whole. Yet still, having never done it before, she was nervous. Though she wanted to help, the thoughts of failure kept rushing through her head. If she had messed up there was a non-zero chance that she could accidentally break the arm. And then where would they both be? Yet still, the girl knew that Kelsey trusted her - which may have only added to the pressure - and she in no way wanted to betray that. So, after a few moments of just looking intently at her arm, Stella nervously said, "here, um, here I go." The girl instinctively went to bring the tools up to start tinkering with the arm, though as she was doing this she realized she had no idea what she was actually looking to tinker with. So, after a slight hint of embarrassment went across her face, the girl began to instead look more thoroughly at her friend's arm. Grabbing at it to help her move around, albeit awkwardly and meekly, Stella simply said, "um, excuse me, sorry." Until she seemed to notice what it seemed was locked up in the girl's arm. Beginning to fiddle around with it, a noise could definitely be heard as the girl seemed to have finished her work, backing away and saying, "so, uh...how does it feel?"
  8. Alois leaned back in his chair as the others shared the information of what they had found in their treks so far. The boy didn't say much at the thought of having to fight the hag who placed the curse to begin with. If they were causing troubles like this there was no doubt they were ready for a fight, and Alois as well didn't really think there was much point in talking with someone who had cursed the whole village for the insult from one man. All the same, the boy patiently and intently listened as each person came up to talk more about the evidence they had found on the matter, between the town hall, the door downstairs, the letters they had found, the parchment. He simply sat there listening, until Penelope had drawn attention to the badger. As he did, the boy couldn't help but begin to smirk and snicker at the form of what was now apparently his mayor. This only managed to turn into a more boisterous laugh as Cora apologized to him, finding the idea of her treating a badger with such respect being all too amusing. Looking at the Mayor, Alois snickered, "oh, so happy the man of the hour thought to grace us with his presence. Glad you found a look that really brings the best out in you." Looking to the rest of the group, he went over the letters with everyone once again, and began to think on the matter of what the order could all mean. The boy sat there, thinking and thinking, rearranging the letters in different ways before realizing something. This was going nowhere. There were far too many A's involved to make a coherent statement, let alone a word, and his lack of idea of what he was even trying to figure out in the first place made it almost impossible for him to figure out what was going on here. So, in deep thought, the boy started to think back. Back to what everyone had said. Each person had recounted where they found each letter. And so as he thought, he realized something. Looking up, the boy looked to Tsetseg, who was now munching on some food cheerily, thanking Cat for her help. "'Set." The girl looked towards the voice, and then seemed surprised when she realized he was talking to her. "Those...bad triangles you found earlier. There were six, right?" The girl tried to say something, though it simply came out garbled through the food as she nodded instead. "And five of them were together, and smaller, right?" The girl nodded again. Standing up from his seat, the boy causally said, "well, nothing's going to happen if I just sit on my ass here." Looking to Cora he said, "you asked why we aren't going straight there right? Well, the answer's simple. We have one more door to go through first." Looking at the badger mayor, the boy mock bowed to him saying, "I apologize for anything I break your excellency." Standing back up he walked past the man, snickering again saying, "but I'm sure you'd find something to badger me about anyway." Once down there, Alois had pilfered a candle from one of the hanging lamps, stepping past the oddly placed net on the ground by the door. Wondering what that was about, the boy then made his way down the ladder before finally getting to the dead end of the door and wooden panel on the wall. Looking at the five "A's" within it, the boy simply pressed his finger into one of them. Pulling back as he felt the small letter move inward, Alois looked to see if he could pull it out, only to no effect. So, going back to try again, Alois pressed his finger into it. As he pressed further,it started to feel less like he was pushing it,and more like it was rolling, and so pushing along the curve he felt the letter start to move. Rolling the letter to the side, he pulled his finger back to see the letter had changed from "A" to "Z." With a smile on his face at his discovery, Alois went to roll the letter again in the same direction, changing from "Z" to "Y." "Alright...now what to do next..." As Alois thought about this he then noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He was not alone in this tunnel. Looking down, he saw a rat - a rather innocuous sight in any town other than this one. Thinking about the situation for a moment, Alois raised an eyebrow at the rat and just asked, "who the hell are you?" Tsetseg, having just finished the rations she was given, seemed to be lost in thoughts of her own. She had done her best in trying to make progress on this mystery, but had come across a problem of her own. Even though she had heard all the letters that everyone had found, it didn't actually mean anything to her. She had no idea what any of the letters looked like, let alone how to use them. As such, Tsetseg was making no headway herself in how to solve this problem. The girl didn't have any real idea what was so important about this puzzle, but her other friends did, and that she couldn't make sense of anything that was going on frustrated her greatly. And so, after seeming to be in deep contemplation for a few minutes, the girl seemed to be struck with a bright idea. Walking over to Penelope she said, "um, hey, um, Penelope. That paper, thing, with the draw- er, letters on it. That one." She pointed to the piece of paper the girl had and said, "could you teach me what the letters on it are?"
  9. With it decided that the group would not split up, they had begun their trip to the store only to have that shortly interrupted by a sight most curious to the blonde haired girl. Firstly, there was a large collection of people running away from an explosion and making their way into a nearby car. Kiyoko had thought the explosion itself was strange, though people running away from it surely wasn't. The giant flaming horse that followed, however, certainly was not within Kiyoko's list of things that were everyday occurrences. The girl marveled in awe at the armored equine creature, and started trailing ahead of the group to continue looking at it as it galloped out of sight. There was a clear sense of awe on the girl's face, wanting to rush after and see what more would happen with this beast, the girl turned around to voice this only to see the decision to continue heading towards the shop was probably the best idea. Kiyoko's face dropped in disappointment for a moment but went back to its usual serious self as she began to follow the others into the store. As the group entered the building, Kiyoko was greeted with yet another unfamiliar sight - an increasingly common occurrence across the past few days. Kiyoko looked at the food and beverages that seemed to be arranged in racks all around with some degree of curiosity before her attention was shifted to Natsumi's question, remembering why they were in here to begin with. The clerk looked up from his old phone, an annoyed look on his face as he looked over them. "Y'all tourists or somethin'? Or some weird news people? Anyways, horse was probably Dread Knight. If it isn't, then the impostors are getting a lot more convincin'." "I see..." As it had turned out, they had already had a run in with the person they sought to find. Kiyoko could only consider this a stroke of good fortune on their end, and continued asking, "does Dread Knight travel around like that normally?" "Sometimes he rides a dragon," the clerk offered. "And some people say they see him on top of the tallest buildings, looking over the city and brooding before hopping from ceiling to ceiling. That one's not confirmed. Why do you all wanna know?" What fortune! Their information gathering had yielded such results as his mode of transportation and places of interest after such short questioning. Feeling invigorated by all of this, Kiyoko simply and matter of factly stated, "we're here looking for him. We have matters to discuss." It was then that the girl noticed that both Octavia and Raijin had come over, and as Raijin asked his question, the girl simply cocked her head to the side as though she didn't fully understand what the question was.
  10. As the gang began their sprint forward, Nine wasn't all that surprised to see that Raphael had immediately started to make his move to bring them down. It didn't take much time for the Banette to catch up with them, and when he did Nine could do nothing but feel a sudden jolt as his entire forward momentum was stopped, being yanked back by Raphael. As the disciple proceeded to toss him away from his path, launching the Houndoom into a gravestone. Being momentarily winded, Nine sat there for a brief moment, only able to watch as Rahapel as well went to strike at Kayla. Picking himself back up, Nine started to recollect his breath as he looked to his opponent, who was now charging Gwen. Looking to the opposite side of Gwen, Nine saw that Lok was still moving forward the sun. With that in mind, Nine was definitely not feeling like running anymore. His body was sore, his legs were less than willing to go back into a full sprint and the curse was still wreaking havoc within. As a result, he was more or less banking on whatever Lok found to be what they needed to turn the tides. And to make that easier for both himself, and to currently keep Gwen from being shredded by the ghost's claws, Nine ignited his arms. Sending out a flamethrower, the fire struck against the wall of souls and though it managed to creep beyond his barrier, the souls had seemed to absorb most of the attack. As a the disciple's claws had ended up veering away from Gwen, though his arm had still struck her, his attention now seemed turned towards Nine. Though weak as he was, Nine simply brought up his hand and gestured for Raphael to come at him. The disciple, smiling at this challenge seemed to oblige as he extended his shadowy claws and leaped towards him. Thinking fast, Nine jumped up onto the tombstone behind him, his eyes going wide with pain as he realized just how tired his legs actually were at this point. As such, his foot wasn't the best as Raphael swung at the area where Nine was. Destroying the tombstone with his claw, Raphael brought out his other shadow claw, stabbing forward at Nine as he began to fall forward. Flinging out a dark pulse into the man's claw, the attack didn't really seem to do much to slow down Raphael, and more so just managed to push Nine out of the way of the attack. As he tumbled onto the ground, he was greeted with a shadow ball immediately tracking towards him. Summoning yet another jet of flame, Nine struck at the shadow ball but was clearly overpowered as the ball struck into him, causing him to tumble back even further. Trying to get back to his feet as Raphael extended both of his claws, getting ready to charge at Nine again. Trying to get to his feet, Nine was stopped by the hand shooting out from the ground, grabbing at him to hold him still. As he struggled against the binds of the corpse hands, he suddenly felt them slack as mystical flames had blasted into them. Now free, Nine rolled to the side to avoid the first claw, which had struck into the earth where he was, and looked to the second claw to counter it. However, as he looked away, the first hand then dragged across the ground, grabbing Nine by the foot and tossing him yet again into a gravestone. Being winded once more, Nine slowly got back to his feet as he continued to stare down his opponent.
  11. Jun had given a golf clap at the ending of the duel, watching as Clear Wing had pummeled Hiraku's fiend. The duel, as it had turned out, had gone beyond most of her expectations. And while she was expecting Hiraku to win, that Yushiro won, and as convincingly as he did meant one thing in particular. Jun now had all the ammunition she needed to lord over Hiraku, thus proving her superiority over her younger teammate. Jun was not an inherently competitive person, nor did she actually enjoy flaunting her skill or authority in the face of people. However, there was always something amusing about doing it to Hiraku that made Jun feel the need to. All the same, as Gabriela had turned to the girl and gave her rather disapproving comment about the match as well, Jun couldn't help but be at a loss for words herself. That Hiraku had lost to Yushiro certainly did not bode well for them - or boded incredibly well for them if the boy had indeed grown as much as he did since his try out. All the same, Jun didn't really have an answer for Gabriela, instead just stammering out a, "well you see - uh, upsets happen sometimes. And it's always best to uh...be prepared for them. Or something. But at the end of the day, all that's important is that you have fun with it." The girl gave two, sleeve covered, thumbs up to the girl at the end of her clearly untrue answer. Waving that comment off, the girl then clapped her hands together and said, "well Gabby, I can't wait to see how you've grown since your duel against Captain. In fact, I can't wait to see what dark princessly powers you unveil in your next duel on your road to the top!" The girl exclaimed this, pointing her finger to the sky and standing up from her seat for emphasis. She stood like that for a few moment before finally chuckling to herself at the over the topness of both herself and the freshman, before recovering and pointing to sleeve covered finger guns at the girl saying, "looking forward to it."
  12. After managing to administer the anti-venom to Kloqah, something she had some experience in but never with a giant lizard, the girl let out a sigh of relief from not being eaten by an irate lizard mount. Once done, the group began to continue through the grassy lands going further down where she presumed the blood trail was leading. And though they had gone on without incident the fact that the grass had been getting to the height it had been, notably over her head, the group continued onward anyway. Ryia, though presuming that Geoff was joking, was almost tempted to agree with him out loud and clear out some of the grass. Nevertheless, she stayed quiet with the rest of them until they had gotten to an odd looking structure, one that Ryia herself couldn't make heads of tails of. What she could, however, make sense of was the giant bird that made its roost upon the top of them. Ryia was at first in awe of the bird, not having seen such a creature yet. Giant animals were hardly something new to her, yet still seeing a bird of such stature and color made an impression on the girl. As it noticed them, however, Ryia's awe quickly gave way to the panic induced by a giant bird coming to kill them. Heeding Reinaan's advice, the girl hopped off the mule and said, "please, just, wait back for a moment." Ushering the mule to hide in the grass with Kloqah, the girl got her own crossbow out along with taking a few more bolts and fired it at the creature's wing as well, despite seeing the effectiveness Reinaan's own attack. After she had fired a shot of her own, she again took to his warning and attempted to hide behind a pillar.
  13. Edda, now growing increasingly more comfortable by the increasing curiosity and eagerness of Ada, looked away from the girl as she continued walking. The girl didn't really know where to start with Ada's questioning, and hadn't ever really thought about the magic she had used as something similar to staff magic before. Adding to her now questioning about what staff magic was, Edda simply started to stammer out, "w-well, it's not really like...just knowing the language isn't the important part - er, uh," as the girl seemed to have trouble explaining herself, either because she couldn't or didn't want to, she soon fell back on her next response. Going from uncomfortable to annoyed, the girl said, "what does it matter to you anyway? You're an Aeoran right? If anything ancient Jouran and the like should be like, what, super bad heresy and stuff?" Then as if an after thought to the whole questioning of the clearly shamanistic girl, Edda simply muttered a forced sounding, "weirdo." Leon, waved off the comment of him singing, not entirely wanting to relive those days and especially not in front of his company. Looking away from the boy, Leon simply muttered, "I'd prefer to keep it that way." His attention was then turned over to Alexis and Yue, to which the boy simply shot the former a look as this had seemed to become a recurring a problem between the two. "Stop tormenting her." Looking over to Yue, he simply said, "try not to take what she has to say on those matters to heart. It'll probably just confuse you more than anything." With that out of the way, the boy sighed with a smile on his face as Alexis began to play her next song. While Leon was certainly a fan of Quinn's music and found it charming in a way, he could tell this was far more to the speed of Alexis as she began playing it. Bobbing his head to the tune as she did so, he looked over to Layne as the boy seemed to think that there was trouble brewing. Looking to the sky, seeing Rona take flight after something else, Leon's eyes widened as he locked onto the white figure and traced it with his eyes. Grabbing at his own sword, the company leader muttered, "this could not get any worse." More clearly he said to Layne, "I certainly hope I'm wrong but," then more to everyone, he shouted out, "Falcons, there is almost certainly trouble coming our way." There were four scenarios as to what the flying white thing could be. In the best case, it was just a bird and he was being paranoid. But, the worst case was... Meanwhile, on Rona's end, the girl would be able to tell just what exactly it was that was flying in the sky above them. The white creature was something that Rona had grown increasingly familiar with over the last couple of days, the familiar white winged equine creature known as a pegasus. Most notably this pegasus had a rider, though they seemed to look to be in actual formal armor with a lance hanging to their side. The armor in question would seem familiar to other Aeoran soldier armor that Rona had seen before in her time on the border. To complicate matters, while Rona had noticed the pegasus knight, the knight as well had seemed to notice her. Rather than confront each other, though, the Pegasus immediately dove and darted away from Rona. Were she to track its movements, now high up in the sky, she would be able to notice that there was an accompaniment of other pegsus knights, horseman and foot soldiers that it was moving towards.
  14. Cherry, for her part, did what she could to hang onto the Fletchinder as it started to flap around and try to shake her off. Even as it was struck by the Murkrow and sent to the ground, the Buneary still managed to keep her grip on the creature true until it finally decided to take off for yet another attack against the Murkrow. While Jacklyn was thrilled by Cherry's raw capability at gripping onto a bird, looked over to the thug in confusion as he made his comment. "What? What are you - what the - " the girl exclaimed as she saw Belle being mauled by her own Ratatta. Having an equal amount of shock and confusion to the thug, if not more, Jacklyn just shouted, "how did this happen?!" Rushing over to her friend's aid, Jacklyn went to go grab at the rat, continually attempting to pry it off Belle without any real regard for Belle's personal space. Cherry, meanwhile, devoid of any orders as to what to do was still going with her last instruction to hang onto the bird. As it zipped forward Cherry's grip began to slip and, regardless of hitting Ivan's Murkrow or not, the sudden stop jerked the Buneary forward and launched it off the Fletchinder. Tumbling to the ground, Cherry sprang back up before looking to Jacklyn for what to do next. The Buneary, now confused as well by the scene of her trainer trying to pry a rat off of the blue haired girl, turned her attention back to the Fletchinder. Not really sure what to do, Cherry simply did what came naturally and bounded forward, attempting to pound kick the bird yet again.
  15. "Hold back for now and keep watch, if they get too close then I'll go talk to them myself but for now just hang back and watch." I'll exit my new found base and begin walking around the old town again awaiting an update.
  16. Well everyone else was so I just followed along. It’s in the title.
  17. Alois sat back and listened as Penelope and Citron described their findings on the mayor's key to the town hall. As Penelope mentioned the locked town hall and whether or not it made sense for it to always be locked in their community, the boy simply stated, "well, he's certainly not above keeping secrets from his loyal subjects," the last word with clear mocking in his tone. It was then that the point Alois raised an eyebrow at Licorice's sudden outburst, both in warning them yet again about how dangerous this was as well as indicating it from past experience. As Penelope seemed game to continue exploring the town and solving the problem, Alois suddenly wondered about what it was they were looking for. And more importantly, if they would even find anything in this town at all. All the same, he didn't have any sort of objections to the princess's plans, if anything he was feeling more to the contrary of just leaving everything to stay the same, and so he looked over to Licorice. Shrugging he said, "and that's just how things are. So, got any ideas what a "magic anchor" of sorts looks like?" As the topic shifted to discussing their findings, Alois looked to Cora as she shared her findings. Looking under the table he was sitting at, he as well found the letter R there. Though the boy had certainly found a lot, he sat there mulling over it for a bit before looking back to Penelope. "Well, we confirmed that the mayor pissed off a hag by telling her to leave when she wanted to stay here, and she's probably what cursed the town. Aside from that, I also found a letter "O" in the old man's dresser." "Oh! Oh! Me! Me next!" Tsetseg, making her presence next to Gunther very well known as she shot her hand up, looking to everyone expectantly. She took the groan of dismay from Alois as a sign to continue, before saying, "well, see, I found lots too! Well, Sienna and Shiro and I all found lots! Like in one wall we found a lot of these really weird and badly drawn triangles." The girl counted on her fingers for everyone to see the number five, before saying, "five of them! Oh, wait. Six! There was a bigger one on another wall!" The girl seemed content with her explanation. Alois, meanwhile, curious and oddly skeptical about what the girl was describing said, "badly drawn triangles?" The girl nodded. "Yeah, yeah. See they were like," the girl then proceeded to draw lines in the air with her fingers to show what she meant. "See, whoever drew it put the bottom way too high. Maybe they never learned their shapes." The girl thought on it for a moment. Humorlessly, Alois informed the girl, "that's the letter A." The archer, shocked by this revelation, recoiled back by it before looking at the boy and then back to Penelope. "Alois knows how to read?!" The girl, clearly more shocked by this then the actual identity of the triangle. The boy simply put his palm to his face.
  18. I'll shrug. "Certainly sounds like a more grand wish than my own. But, I think my wish is stupid, and you think yours is too. So, let's go and win ourselves a couple of stupid wishes, right?" With that, I'll tell my servant they're free to scout as they wish, while I go set up a magic alarm system for my new home base.
  19. As Nine's attack was dodged, the Houndoom saw yet another shadow ball coming at him. Swiftly as he had done before, the boy fired off a dark pulse to help him parry the attack as he moved to the side to dodge it. Getting ready for any counter attack Raphael was preparing, Nine stood his ground waiting only to then see the man get blasted with a large amount of dark energy. Looking to see Gwen, practically radiating with dark energy, as the one who had fired it Nine was both impressed and worried about the woman. While he wanted to go check in with her, his attention was arrested by the disciple of Giratina. The ghost had been beaten and on the ground, and though they seemed to have been making headway into defeating him, it was clear that they were not going to be able to get off that easily. As the man began to showcase the full might of his power to them, Nine grimaced as hands started to jut out from the ground and grab at all of them and air around Raphael himself seemed to howl and churn with souls. Seeing that the disciple was still raring to go, Nine wasn't quite sure how much more he could do against him. He didn't know how much of what he said was showboating and how much was true, but the fact was that he was starting to feel the burn course through his body more and more, and things looked like they'd only be more difficult from here on out. However, as Nine was beginning to feel the dread of it all set in, he noticed behind Raphael was a light at the end of the tunnel. He wasn't quite sure if it was as metaphorical as it was literal, but with the disciples hasty attack towards Kayla, it was just about all he could bank on. Igniting his arms, the Houndoom sent them towards the ground, batting away the arms that were grabbing at him as he looked towards Raphael. A clear intensity in his eyes, as he looked between the disciple and the sun behind him. Their destination was clear. Their method was simple. All that mattered was being able to do it. "Kayla!" Nine fired off a dark pulse at the hands grasping at the Accelgor to free her. "Sorry to ask so much of you, but if you can, we'll need all the runners we can get." Looking to the Rotom he said, "Lok, I'll go with you and cover for you. Gwen," he called back to ghost behind him. "You're probably the strongest of us right now, so cover for us. But, keep yourself safe too." Staring back to Raphael, Nine merely shouted, "alright team, let's make this our last spurt!" With that, Nine waited for Lok to start moving before he would follow after him. Marie couldn't help but feel a bit of pride well up in her as the legend thanked her for her bravery in standing up to Lucario. Smiling with satisfaction, Marie simply told the legend, "even if it was foolish, if I saw someone passing by in that situation, I'd want them to save me. So, it's only natural to stand up for others that want to be saved too!" As the legends sprouted their wings and took flight, Marie simply waved them off saying, "it was nice meeting you both. Say hi to Moltres for me. Hope I see you all again!" After waving until they went out of view, Marie turned to Keanu and nodded at his suggestion. "Let's!"
  20. "World Peace?" I joke. I'll then shrug and said, "I haven't really given it much thought, to be honest. Probably something simple and stupid like riches. How about you?"
  21. Jacklyn grimaced as Cherry was very clearly out matched in the oomph of the attacks displayed. All the same, she called out, "alright Cherry, let's keep it going. Pump yourself up for round two!" The Buneary pumped its ear into the air as it shouted out excitedly as well, only to then immediately lose its gusto as a few balls of fire made their way towards the pokemon. Immediately defense curling in response, it naturally did nothing and Cherry was simply pushed back by the fire. Though clearly in pain from the attack, the Buneary seemed ready to continue fighting as the bird growled at them. Looking towards the Buneary yet again, the flaming bird flapped its wings a bit before diving at them for yet another quick attack. As the bird sped forward, Jacklyn just shouted, "alright Cherry go! Jump at him!" Confused at the order but going with it all the same, the Buneary jumped up and avoided the quick attack, only to land on the Fletchinder's back. The bird, low to the ground before, had its stomach smash into the ground with the sudden wait being forced onto it, only to begin to pull back up. This, however, proved to be a struggle in of itself as Cherry was still on board holding onto it, more out of fear of falling then anything else. "Yeah, way to go!"
  22. Despite Kelsey telling her to go otherwise, Stella didn't entirely feel comfortable leaving her friend alone. Both because she didn't even want to partake in sparring, mecha or otherwise, and that she was worried about Kelsey's arm. Feeling it her responsibility to help Kelsey out as well, the girl simply stammered out, "w-wait up Kellz." Making her way over to her friend, she looked to Vivian and shrugged, not really sure what to tell the other girl to do. All the same, Stella followed Kelsey to the mechanic shop. Looking around the shop, Stella felt an immediate urge to go organize everything around, seeing how much of a mess everything was. Not daring to look in the back as well, Stella kept to herself before walking over to the mentioned pile of toasters. Cautiously moving them aside, and finding a workbench, Stella looked to see that there was indeed some tools lying around that she could probably use to help fix Kelsey's arm. Grabbing a few she looked nervously to her friend and said, "well, um, I haven't really done this much before - other than for, well - " the girl gestured to her leg. "But I've read about it, so I think I can - uh, yeah...so uh." The girl shifted about uncomfortably, looking towards Kelsey's arm.
  23. "Seems as good a place as any." I'll sit down on the ground and ask if there's anything that my Servant wants to discuss at the moment.
  24. Leon grumbled at Alexis's comment about homesickness. Though it was one of the first things that came to mind when songs came up, he also couldn't help but feel that she was right in that matter. All the same, the boy started humming along with the music, he looked over to Layne, "Well, I'm not a musician either, but I can say that this is pretty faithful to the original." Looking at Alexis, Leon did always find it surprising that someone as hyperactive and animated as her somehow managed to stay still or in a relatively smooth tempo when it came to music. So, there was a part of him that had to acknowledge her talent in these matters. However, knowing that, there was definitely something off about it. Not that it sounded wrong, or bad, just off. And so, sighing, Leon said, "well, we're not in any rush, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt if the song was a bit...faster." Edda didn't look towards the shaman as she made her comment, instead awkwardly shuffling forward. However, she seemed to jolt to a halt as the woman brought up what it was that she had done last night. The girl seemed even less willing to look Ada in the face now, and merely said, "ah that um- well it's not really singing but uh - " The girl then looked back, now looking more overwhelmed than anything else as Ada started rattling off questions. The girl hadn't wanted to try and do what she did last night, but the situation demanded it of her. As such, while she was expecting something like this, it actually happening was certainly not something she was fond of. Of course, the girl also didn't feel as though she could actually just turn away from Ada and that her persistence would only grow worse if she did and so Edda cleared her throat before beginning to explain herself. "Well, um, it's uh...it's an ancient kind of Jouran language. It doesn't really, get used or anything, I just know it because uh..." The girl trailed off for a moment before looking to the side, "because I uh, had to. And stuff." Edda then realized that there was hardly anyone who would ever learn it to begin with, and so veering away from that part of the conversation she said, "the magic itself uh...well, it's like Dark Magic, but in reverse. I guess?" The looked to the air, now that she was actually trying to explain how it worked saying, "it's like uh, well...Dark Magic is projecting your soul onto the world, but I guess this is closer to projecting your soul into someone else's?" Meanwhile, the clear skies of the day did little to cover those in the air and those below. And so, the more perceptive members of the group, were they looking, would be able to see something far off, flying in the sky. Though they wouldn't be able to make it out, as it was still far away, it seemed to be moving closer to them. And though looking up at it, it was hard to tell, the group would also be able to notice that it was white in color.
  25. Ryia stood up, and upon seeing that they still had a good deal of land to trek through still. With Lindow's magic, as well as a healing potion from their stock and the small amount of recovery she had gone through, the girl managed to catch her breath well enough to start moving again. Of course, still not steady on her feet and this being quite apparent, Keres had walked over and offered to let her ride the mule. Ryia felt somewhat guilty about this, both for forcing Keres to walk in her stead and for having to have the mule deal with her weight again, but she as well couldn't deny how tired she still was. And so, nodding the girl simply muttered, "um, alright. Thanks. I'll uh..." The girl looked to the mule and said, "sorry again," before getting on top of it. Riding along, the group followed the trail of blood they had spotted, taking note of still how odd the pattern it was in was. The group eventually came to stop as the trail lead into a long patch of grass. After much deliberation on the matter at hand, the group decided to continue going on, though Pyrrha didn't seem in the best shape to continue. However, though Ryia didn't feel comfortable splitting up their group, she similarly didn't want to wait any longer in fear of what might become of the villagers if they waited too long. And so, reluctantly, the group split up, with her following Reinaan, Keres and Geoff into the grass. With Reinaan leading the pack, the group traveled for around an hour without incident but this was soon stopped as Kloqah let out a hiss. Suddenly becoming more alert, the girl had the sudden instinct that there was danger around, looking for it in every which direction, only to focus in on the snake as Reinaan had pointed it out. As the draken hunter took his shot at the creature, Ryia began looking at the mule and all of the stuff on it. Rummaging through it, she found a few doses of anti-venom and pulled one out. "Um, we have something, I think, for it. I'll just," slowly getting off the mule, the girl began to watch her step and be on the lookout for more snakes as she made her way over to Kloqah. The girl looked at the lizard with some uncertainty, not entirely sure how the lizard would take to being treated, but still went to give it to her all the same.
