  1. As the others seemed to reach about the same conclusion everyone else had, it did little to actually solve the problem. The boy then looked a bit stunned as the princess gave him a finger wagging, muttering, "excuse me?" All the same, as they reached the market square, Alois was surprised as Licorice seemed to know something about more the magic that was used here. All the same, as she said the villagers must've angered someone, the boy shrugged saying, "I'm sure a witch was just looking for a place to sleep here and they slammed the door in her face. Sounds about right to me." Then, as the princess made her declaration, Alois shrugged saying, "well there you have it." Turning to Licorice he said, "looks like we're in it for the long haul here. Besides, much as I'd like leaving them like this, there's also something appealing about them owing me and a bunch of outsiders one." And, well, things would probably be much rougher for Cora if nothing changed. "Gunther and Shiro went to investigate a house. Apparently there's someone else in it who's also human, though, I don't know more than that." Turning to the princess he said, "and Cora's house is down that way. It's near the wall and well, there'll probably be a pink wyvern there so you probably won't miss it." Tsetseg, who had been marveling at the idea of having a tail of her own, seemed shocked at the mention of a wyvern and suddenly much more wary. Alois, however, tried to figure out if he forgot to mention something else to them. Well, it probably wasn't a big idea. Going towards the house Gunther and Shiro were in, Alois said, "feel free to pay her a visit. I'm going to go make sure the other two don't get lost."
  2. The girl didn't seem at all phased by Belle's comment, instead just smiling as both Ivan and the Haunter seemed to get past their differences. Nodding to herself for a job well done on her part, for what job none could be certain, the girl then looked back to Ivan. "Yeah, we can get going now." Shooting a look over to Belle she said, "of course, you can't go exploring sitting down, so let's get up Belle! And don't steal his comics. That'd be rude." She then looked over to both Dennis and his Haunter saying, "same goes for you two. Don't steal any more snacks. That's also rude." Clapping her hands together before pumping her fist in the air she shouted, "alright gang, let's get ready to get to more adventure!" Giving a wave to Dennis she said, "later." And with that, the girl began to make her way out of the lighthouse.
  3. Stella went to take a sip of her drink as Vivian gave a response with her usual enthusiasm behind it. The girl wasn't entirely sure what her roommate may have been expecting, and outside of food and she supposed showing Vivian a cityscape - one different from the array of tree houses that were in her head - she didn't really know what they would do once they were there. It wasn't as if Stella even really knew what sites to see or what to do in her free time, spending most of her time indoors anyway. No. That was more a job for Kelsey if anything. As Stella started to drift in her own thoughts, the girl was soon pulled back as Vivian had asked pictures of her. Oh. That was a much simpler way of figuring out what Vivian's home was like. Of course, the other girl had asked her first, and so rummaging through her pocket, the girl picked out her phone. Scrolling through it for a bit she said, "no worries. Here. Like I said, it isn't much - really, it might be even less than what you're expecting. But well, it's probably much different than what you're used to." Scrolling through the pictures, Vivian would see that most of the scenery was that of an urban center. Steel and concrete buildings that shot high into the air, some into the skyline. Paved roads decorated with street lamps and filled to capacity with cars. A small block of grassy area sectioned off from the rest of the city, with its only real similarity to the rest of the images being the amount of pigeons that gathered around. The roads and buildings themselves seemed poorly maintained, yet still functional. There were also a few other things of note that Stella herself realized, much to her embarrassment, as she scrolled through these photos. Firstly, there weren't many of them, and she had very nearly scrolled through her whole library in almost no time flat. Stella was not a habitual photographer after all. Secondly, nearly all of the images in some way either included either herself, Kelsey, or both. The only exception to this being one from the day she had gotten her phone, a picture with her and her father smiling over a birthday cake. Blushing a bit as she scrolled into this image, Stella cleared her throat saying, "well, that's about it. I'm sure Kelsey has more photos if you asked her." As Stella moved to put her phone away, she then paused for a moment. Scrolling out of her album and instead to her messages, the girl seemed disappointed for a moment before putting it away. Remembering what she wanted before, she looked back to Vivian saying, "oh um, right. I also can't really picture where you live. Or, well, I think I'm way off the mark."
  4. Leaning back in her chair, shrugging her shoulders as Morgan told her that no one slept in coffins. "Well, you got me there Princess." Ross had to admit something. She had figured she knew what kind of person Morgan was from just a few minutes of talking and a movie. And while she had seemed to still have the basic idea down - not actually expecting her to be an actual witch - she had to admit that the more Morgan described her life back home the more...confusing she was. All the same, Ross got up from her chair, taking her own trash and throwing it away before following the rest of the girls out. As they were leaving, Ross was then surprised again as Morgan asked what she thought of the place she had found herself in. Thinking on it for a moment the girl said, "well, it's familiar enough but I don't think I ever had living plant boy bands or movies quite like that from back home. As far as daily living goes here I imagine this place is a lot more, um, unique then Earth. But well, I haven't been eaten by a five story tall monster yet so I'd say it breaks even to be about the same." With a small grin on her face, she then looked to Morgan saying, "but, I suppose if everyone's as varied as the three of us, then it'll probably make up for the lack of daily monsters in no time." The girl's were then stopped by a sight far more terrifying then the daily demon could ever hope to be. As the overly eccentric and eager girl asked them for funds to see the pant plant band. As Aurora seemed to be low on funds she then deflected the loaning of money to the other two. Ross, who was pretty sure she was not included in this "celebrity" description, held her hands up. "I just got here, so it's not like I have money either." Looking to the girl, feeling a strange sense of pity for her and like if she didn't get her ticket she'd curse Ross's bloodline...more...the girl asked, "are like, concerts a rare thing or something?"
  5. As Ryia walked alongside the Water chosen, Ryia couldn't help but give a defeated sigh as the girl made her comment. She had already figured that the others were probably not fond on the idea, but as Keres seemed to drop the topic, Ryia couldn't help but feel as though she had made a great mistake. All the same, she wasn't sure if she could just let the man, fake or not, go out and do something that would get himself killed in good conscience. As such, it was her responsibility to tell the group about this, and her responsibility to also keep him safe. And who knew, maybe he would turn out to actually be capable? Maybe he was just a bit overeager but still able to hold his own, and would be a worthwhile addition to their team to solving this issue. "That seems very unlikely." "Yeah...I know..." The girl's mental voice was as downtrodden as could be at her spirit's comment, but all the same, she could hope. Eventually, Keres and Ryia had managed to reach the rest of the group, or at least Reinaan and Lindow. Assuming that Pyrrah had gone into the bar herself, the girl walked up to the other two saying, "hey um...hi. Glad we caught up and...is uh...Are we um...uh..." Ryia found herself stumbling over her words, likely for the same reason I child who did something wrong would in front of their parent would. Without finishing her statement, the girl looked into the building to see that Damien was also there, which was good. That meant they were all together now. Which meant she could tell them all at once. Which was good. Good. Freezing up near the door, the girl seemed to not move, and more just stare into space which happened in Damien and Pyrrah's general direction before turning around. Looking to Reinaan and Lindow, clearly struggling with something but still keeping a force smile on her face the girl said, "so um...we were...we weren't gonna...leave immediately...right? The city, that is. For our...yeah..."
  6. Nine appreciated the sentiment that both of his teammates had in trying to fill him in on what it was they were going to do. Nine kept his gaze to Gwen's father for the explanation, not wanting to lock eyes with a man he knew that in any case of a staring contest he would most assuredly lose. Of course, he didn't have a choice but to look towards the Enforcer as he began telling him about the state of the legends around the area and that of the people of Omega. As Gwen went to apologize for her actions but also assure Nine that she meant well. Folding his arms, the Houndoom mulled over the new information to himself for a moment before saying, "well, that's fine by me." Looking to Gwen he said, "don't feel so bad about it. I mean, I can't say I particularly enjoy being kept in the dark about something like this. And honestly," Nine looked over to the Enforcer, "I can't help but feel like I've been strong armed into this." Looking back to Gwen he said, "but, well, I trust you and Lok and really you could've asked me to help any time. After all, this is a matter related to a legend, and I'd be hurt if you told me that you didn't think a Chaser like I would be interested in resolving this issue. More than that, though," putting his hand on the woman's shoulder and smiling to her he said, "this is your problem and your home's problem right? As a friend, how could I possibly refuse. So, if you want me to fight some world ending legend, than I gladly would." Turning back to the Enforcer he said, "of course, this isn't only my decision to make. Shaymin's the one unsealing the barrier right? So, she ultimately has to be fine with it as well." Grimacing as Allie refused to back down and only seemed to keep on taking the attacks that they were dealing to her. However, as Nani managed to hit Allie and knock some of the wind out of her, things seemed to from bad to better to bad again. Eyes going wide as Nani was grabbed, Marie knew that she had to do something to keep her friend from being killed. Marie had decided to fire another water gun at the back of Allie's leg, thinking that she was weak in the legs from the way she received the last hit.
  7. Edda hadn't really noticed anything that had been going on. The music and the chatter of the group had fallen on deaf ears to her, simply sitting along the riverside, looking into the waters below. Her hood being up had obscured her face, though it was clear to see that she was in a more solemn state as her back was hunched over and her feet pressed against the edge of the river. As the girl seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, in complete silence around her, her eyes suddenly went wide as this was broken. "Meep!" Edda let out a startled yelp as jolted from her position, falling to her side and with one hand in the river only to jolt back to land. Looking around, the girl seemed to realize something about what she just did, and thinking back to a prior conversation Edda simply muttered, "is that what that meant?" Her eyes then settled on the smiling visage of Alexis. Blushing in embarasement from what had just happened, the girl cleared her throat as she sat back up right. Not looking right at the girl, she said, "yes, I was thinking to myself. Alone. Don't you ever think...um, to yourself." Sighing and looking like she had only managed to defeat herself, the girl looked back to Alexis with somewhat of a pout on her face. "Well, what do you want?" With his face in his palm watching what had just transpired between the two girls, Leon continued to sit back. As he pulled his hand back, a small smile formed on his face as he looked back to Layne. "Well, I suppose it's better than keeping things dull around here. So, how're you holding up from the trip so far?"
  8. It had seemed that it was inconclusive as to whether or not these "duel spirits" could actually eat someone or not. Following that, though, the girl was confused and somewhat unnerved by the amount of things that it seemed that particularly evil spirits were capable of, and more so that she had been completely unaware that things like this could happen. As she thought more on it, the girl's attention was arrested away from her as Mr. E had appeared and suddenly spirited away Damien via ear pull. As the two males left, Kiyoko simply said, "what a strange man he is." Looking back to Hotaru she said, "well, as it is, I know not what spirit you think would eat me, but I as I cannot see or speak to them myself, I shall be in your care for those matters. Now then," letting out a deep breath, Kiyoko pushed herself away from the table. Standing up she said, "I believe we have spent enough time doing nothing. And now I feel the urge to do...something." Looking towards Hotaru the girl said, "I would appreciate if you would come along, and I feel like it would be a good way to enrich yourself as your method has for me." Despite having said that, though, Kiyoko seemed fine to go along regardless of Hotaru's decision.
  9. Walking into her testing room, it didn't seem to be all that noteworthy, In the room was her and a giant wall made of some kind of glass with a hole in the center. Through the wall, she could see two test dummies that were close to each other, though there didn't seem to be anything else of note beyond it. Walking over to the hole in the wall, Yuuka traced her fingers over the whole in the wall and inspected it in more detail. It was clear to her that this wall was incredibly thick, and as such the hole was actually quite large. Putting a finger to her chin the girl said, "how interesting." "Isn't it? You lucked out with your exam, missy." Yuuka heard the voice of her teacher coming from seemingly nowhere, echoing in the small room. "Oh? Is that so?" Pulling her hand out and looking to the ceiling, she'll smile saying, "then I thank you for taking it easy on me." Yuuka was well aware of the person that her teacher was, though. And the idea that she would ever 'take it easy' on one of her students was not one that Yuuka believed existed. More curiously, the girl asked, "though, just to confirm, what exactly is my exam?" "It's just a theory of mine...but I believe you're hampering your own quirk by just throwing balls around. I think you have more control over it than that." With a pause, Yuuka could hear some tapping on the microphone. "On the other side of that hole is a room with two dummies in it. You'll have to incapacitate one on the right without making the other pass out. Simple, right?" Yuuka furrowed her brow, tapping her finger against her chin more pensively. "In theory yes, and I appreciate your confidence in me, though I'm not quite sure about it." Looking at the test, the girl was almost certain she knew where this simple exam was going. And she wasn't entirely sure what it was that her teacher had expected from her, or what she had been holding herself back with. All the same, Yuuka was still a student and this was still a test. "But well, I will do my best, Sensei." "Bingo! That's what I'm expecting from you all! Good luck, Yuuka!" Walking back from the hole, the girl figured it was best to try the most simple solution first before thinking outside the box. And thus, the girl coalsced an orb of poison in her hand, and, taking a pitcher's stance the girl wound her arm back and tossed it towards the hole. Yuuka, despite not being most athletic person, had considerable aim when it came to pitching. After all, she had always wanted to make sure that haphazard aim wouldn't be the thing that ended up causing her to harm others. And so, with a pitch, the girl tossed the globe of poison into the hole. Flying true, it landed right outside the hole, exploding at once and causing the poison cloud to form around both dummies. Seeing that she had indeed, managed to poison both of them at once, the girl girl scratched the back of her head. "Of course it wouldn't be that easy." So, with her finger to her chin, Yuuka started to ponder on just what the answer to this puzzle was.
  10. Jacklyn's sour mood seemed to give way a bit, sighing as the Haunter made a gesture towards her that she could only assume was apologetic. "It's fine. It didn't really bother me anyway. So, apology accepted." Turning away from the ghost type, the girl then looked to see Ivan was stirring awake. While the boy seemed ill tempered, for reasons she could understand, the girl was glad that he seemed to manage to calm himself down. As he mentioned leaving soon, the girl said, "probably. It's not like there's much else to explore in this lighthouse, and I'm sure there's plenty more to explore in this city." Thinking on it for a moment, the girl seemed to go from being sour to suddenly re-energizing herself at the prospect of exploring their new found location. Clapping her hands together she said, "alright! However," pointing her finger at Ivan she said, "don't think you're getting out of this just because you were asleep. Everyone else has , so it's only fair that you do too." Realizing that he probably had no idea what she was talking about she said ,"apologizing. That is. After all, even if he was rude to us, you still shouldn't resort to physical violence! We are pokemon trainers after all, and as such we leave all of that and all of our problem solving to our pokemon! Not our fists!" Shrugging she simply added, "more or less." Turning to the Haunter, she then said, "you should apologize to him too. After all, you also attacked him. So," she looked between the pokemon and Ivan saying, "apologize to each other and shake it on it like men!" Looking to Dennis, a hand postured around her mouth as if to keep the others from hearing without actually lowering her voice, she said, "is Haunter a man?"
  11. Marie's frustration only seemed to grow at Allie's staunch refusal on the topic of her siblings. To be perfectly honest, as Nani and Randy continued to rant about the world and legends, most of the topics seemed to go over her head. Marie wasn't concerned about the world at large. Marie wasn't concerned about what the legends had done to make it nor was she really concerned with how anyone was going to go about fixing it. That they were people that Aliie was trying to kill, people that she didn't think had done anything wrong, was about all that mattered in that regard to her. Yet even still. There was something that simply made Marie furious. Angry. Absolutely livid. "You're wrong! It isn't about what you say here. It's about how you show them how to act! That's what being a big sister is all about!" The Brionne shouted towards Allie. As the stones came at her, the girl deflected a few with a blast of water yet again, though she was still far from strong enough to match this attack. Being pelted by the attack, the girl still grit her teeth as she looked towards the Tyranitar. It hadn't mattered what Allie wanted in the end. If she was fighting for her siblings, so that they wouldn't have to fight, then it was obvious that she was doing something wrong. All the same, the girl simply blasted yet another stream of water towards Allie as the Tyranitar seemed intent on fighting. As Nine had picked up Shaymin and got ready to leave, after of course eating some of the delicious berries that the legend had provided for them, he looked over to Gwen. At her comment he said, "I am the model of a gentleman, and wouldn't dare dream of doing something to one such as her." Giving a playful smile towards the ghost girl, he then proceeded to follow her back to town. Once there, with legend now in tow, things had seemed to take a turn for the worse since their departure. No one had come out to greet them, nor had anyone really been out on the streets at all to begin with. The only thing Nine could really say about this complete lack of energy n comparison to their first visit, was that Alpha truly was just a ghost town now. Walking alongside everyone, they eventually met up with Gwen's father and the Enforcer, with the two informing of them of an attack that had happened since they had left. Nine narrowed his eyes a bit at the Enforcer's first comment about the legend. His attention, however, returned to Gwen's father as he explained the situation further to him. Aha. There it was. Nine had figured that there was more to this job then simply making sure a legend was safe. If anything, he was more glad and surprised that they were at least saying so to his face. All the same, Nine was both curious and suspicious about the whole notion of what was coming, and thus said, "oh? Them?" Nine looked between Gwen, the Enforcer and her father saying, "is there something you'd like to fill the rest of us in on for this. As far as fighting goes, Shaymin here is a bit of a pacifist, so if breaking this seal, or whatever it is, is going to put them in danger I can't really blindly condone this."
  12. Ryia looked dumbfounded as the "chosen" before her declared just what it what he was the Chosen of. The girl hadn't the faintest idea of how to respond to something that sounded quite as ludicrous as this. This wasn't helped by the simple fact that she didn't even know what a buffalo was, though, she could very well guess it was the beast Geoff was aboard. As she grew more and more skeptical of his claim to power, it had seemed that the others had been as well. Seeming to not want anything more to do with this man, they started to simply go about trying to find Damien and leave Geoff to his devices. Ryia could understand why, and she was certainly of a mind to just let this sleeping dog lie. Of course, there was something about the man that made him seem quite earnest. And not just that, quite serious about the requests he had taken. And in that, Ryia could only assume he actually meant to take this on. And was very likely to get himself killed. She looked to the others as they started walking away and said, "um, uh, I'll uh, I'll catch back up with you guys..." Turning back to Geoff, the girl seemed a bit unsure of how to proceed. Starting with, "I um, apologize for their bluntness, they're a bit...antsy, I guess? Um..." Looking to the beast he was aboard, then back to him she asked, "is that uh...is that your spirit?" "Ha! Ha! Ha!" He said, pause between each laugh. "It is indeed. A mighty steed and mighty beast." Ryia glanced over, her spirit not actually being out but still being more comfortable with looking away from Geoff as she mentally asked her spirit a question. "Ackrin is...is that actually a spirit." "It is not." The goat's reply was blunt. "Right..." Pausing, she then said, "um...of the 200 requests that you took...what, um, what kind are they usually?" "Many things! Lost items, man-eating monsters, mapping out a potential trade route, finding a pretty flower, getting a magical horn," it seemed Geoff was going to list off every single request As she had thought, he certainly seemed to have a zeal to him. Trying to stop him from going on much longer she asked, "uhh...don't you think all of that's a little...too varied...for one person? Even a chosen?" "Maybe for others, it would be, but I plan on handling this within the week!" "I see..." Thinking on it for a moment, the girl took a deep breath before saying, "I would um, humbly request that you cut down on the requests you have taken...and try not to do anything too dangerous." "I understand your concern, and you seem like a kind young lady, but alas I cannot. It's my duty to help the people and help I shall. Starting with the request you so humbly brought to me." "I...I see. But well, I'm sure my friends and I can handle it...but you truly mean to tackle this request alone then?" "Well I can't just let others risk themselves when I can handle it can I?" Her assumption of Geoff was feeling more and more correct by the moment. "Then perhaps..." Ryia looked to Keres, trying to find some affirmation in her companion before she asked fully. Keres shrugged. "We're going that way...anyway, right?" Ryia nodded, before turning back to Geoff saying, "then perhaps you'd, um, like to work alongside us then?" "Haha! I see now. You want to see me in action, I understand...hm. Perhaps I can go along with that. I shall wait here for you to get your companions but not for long before I set out." Ryia involuntarily let out a nervous chuckle but just said, "ah...um, right...Well, we'll see you..." Turning away, moving to catch up with the others, the girl looked to Keres saying, "they'll uh, they'll understand right?"
  13. As Morgan seemed to be confused by Ross's relief at some familiar people, the demon hunter merely reclined back in her chair. "Well, I guess meeting different kind of people is all well and good. But being surrounded by nothing but strangers means you're the strange one too. And, to be perfectly honest, I've had quite enough of that. Though," stretching her arms behind her the girl said, "I suppose us being far from the majority is why we're here to begin with. Nonetheless." As the topic had then shifted to one of Ross's thoughts on the time and Morgan's question of her being afraid of the dark, the girl's stoic expression didn't seem to change. "Not particularly. A blood drinker like myself must've spent a night or two in a coffin right? And those things are nothing but dark. And it's been a long day, so I could really use one of those." Resting her hands on the table, the girl leaned forward saying, "besides, isn't it scandalous for a princess like you to be out so late?"
  14. Kiyoko was quite confused as the conversation had taken a turn for the unexpected. An off hand comment that Kiyoko hadn't paid attention to seemed to catch Hotaru's interest. And in so, the two began to talk about how they were able to see "him." Kiyoko hadn't the faintest idea of what they were talking about, and Damien's mock acting scared and talking to thin air did not seem to alleviate this confusion. As Hotaru said that the girl could go at any time, the girl looked at her, her confusion momentarily passing to just go back to her standard neutral expression. "Hm? But this was what I wanted to do. Though," becoming more pensive as she put a hand to her chin she said, "if there's no set time limit or criteria, I suppose it is quite difficult to know if I'm accurately doing nothing or not. Hmm..." As she thought more on this delimma she was now presented with, her attention shifted back to the topic that had confused her not two seconds ago. Right. They were talking about someone. Or rather, talking to someone. That apparently a good majority of the staff could see and speak to at that. "Um..." Looking between the two, feeling greatly out of the loop but not sure if this was a loop she was supposed to be in to begin with she simply asked, "what are the two of you talking about?"
  15. Though Stella had only had two conversations about Vivian's home planet with the girl, Stella was starting to think it was a less and less pleasant place to live. If not for the conscription and lack of meet, then what Stella could only seem to describe as a knack that her roommate had to try and push that there were indeed positives to her homeworld. It wasn't as though Stella had actually thought it was some kind of backwater planet, that Vivian seemed to be a happy and healthy person did enough to disprove that notion. But the more persistent she was to prove it, the less Stella actually felt assured. All the same, as the girl made her comment about vacation and visiting one another's planets, Stella thought on it for a moment. "Well, Kellz and I haven't really traveled ourselves but..." As Stella thought more about it, she pictured the world that Vivian came from. And no matter what she could only imagine it as a forest with a bunch of huts or tree houses around. That probably wasn't what it was like. But the image didn't seem to get out of her head and Stella wasn't exactly all that much of a forest girl. All the same, she knew it would be rude to just decline the girl. As such, deflecting it to the other statement instead she said, "well, I'm sure the two of us could show you around our home. I don't know if it'll be the most interesting for you, but at least there's a bunch of food places we could go check out."
  16. Alois simply stood around at the entrance of town awaiting the others to come back from whatever mess they probably had themselves wrapped up in. As it was just him and his unlikely companion of Sienna, the boy simply stood there quietly as he did so, not really feeling like he had any kind of thing to talk about with the fox girl with. Of course, being in silence only made him have his attention turn more to the fact of where he was, and naturally this only seemed to make him grow more impatient. Thankfully, he didn't seem to have to wait long, as the quartet of females had finally made their way into town. Much to his surprise, they all seemed to also be in one piece and without any kind of panic in their step, which Alois could only assume that meant they had actually left and come back without incident. Which was more than he could say for this group. Giving a wave to Licorice as she addressed him he said, "yeah, they're just resting elsewhere in town right now." Then, as the princess turned to address him, he gave a smirk and chuckled saying, "well funny thing about that. And I know you're not going to believe this when I say it but." Giving a small pause for mock dramatic effect, he said, "there's something fucked with this town. I know, shocker." After waiting a moment for it to sink in, the boy continued, "normally the town guards wouldn't even let you think of stepping foot in this town, but, well...come on." Gesturing for the group to follow, upon seeing any animals scurrying about, Alois said, "so when we got here, the place had basically turned into a zoo filled with animals that I had never seen before. Conversely, no one I knew was here. In fact, no one was here at all. So, well, unbelievable as it may be, are only going theory is that somehow the people of this village became animals." Upon hearing this comment, Tsetseg went wide eyed thinking about everything that it could mean. "Does this mean you also come from a village of proteans? Or, or, or are we all actually proteans?" Looking to Penelope the archer asked, "do you think we could all grow fluffy tails?" Pausing in disbelief at the comment, Alois muttered, "what in the- no. No we're not." Shaking his head, he then said, "anyway, it's obviously not something specific to the villagers here because well, I'm not an animal. And Cora -" stopping himself he elaborated, "also a resident here - she was apparently gone when this all happened and she's also not an animal." Looking at his companions he said, "so, got any ideas?"
  17. Pouting as the girl mentioned the Entertainment Club, Jun said, “well, if you wanted to join a dueling club you could’ve joined my team instead of Souji’s dumb club.” Crossing her arms, the girl looked away, mumbling a bit before saying, “well, I guess Sai and Rose are alright. And if it’s what you want to do.” Pausing a moment, the girl began to ponder the situation. Thinking more on it, she eventually nodded to herself. Looking brightly back at Kyouko, clenching her sleeve covered fist, the girl said, “normally I wouldn’t help someone like this, especially if it helped my arch nemesis. But, well, as your friend and roommate Koko, I’ll help you figure this out!” Looking at the trash can she said, “so, what have you got so far?” “Not much. There’s a bunch of scrap paper in there for a reason, after all. I’m trying a different angle this time though.” Kyouko held up the synchro monster, continuing “Rather than looking at the monsters in my main deck, I should try something more like this, I figured. Still not sure what kind of overall look to go for though.” Putting a hand to her chin, the girl looked at the monster she was holding up, pondering on it. “Not much to go on. But…” The girl briefly chortled at the thought of Kyouko in a dragon costume with a cutout for her face in it. Refocusing on it, the girl looked back to her roommate saying, “well, what does everyone else have so far?” “There’s a wizard, a masked hero running the club, that popular idol duelist who you went to go see at the start of the school year, and a couple other new members. I thought about a knight the more I looked at my deck, but I don’t think I could stand up there on a stage acting all noble and honorable.” The inability to imagine that certainly wasn’t for lack of trying though. While she could certainly picture herself stopping a villain, it was absolutely not something she’d do in the name of justice or honor. “So I’m done doodling up stupid white knight ideas. I want to try something a bit less noble this time.” Scratching her chin, the girl snapped her fingers. Going to fiddle around with Kyouko’s deck, the girl pulled out her Phoenix Gearfried card. Grabbing her synchro monster, she then overlapped the two saying, “well, why not just try the opposite?” “...” Kyouko looked at the two cards together. Phoenix Gearfried… Black Brutdrago… do the opposite of the first one. “Sorry, I don’t really get where you’re going here.” Sighing and shaking her head, she said, “instead of going for a white knight, why not a black knight? Rose and Souji definitely have the hero quota filled for your group, so why not try playing at a villain?” Play a villain, huh? That was something that hadn’t really crossed her mind. As much as she didn’t like the idea of being the bad guy, it was certainly easier than being some chivalrous type. Yeah. That could work. And it was all just for show anyway, right? Some sort of dark knight character inspired by those two cards. Kyouko - as with her previous designs - started at the most important part. The helmet. She wanted something that could cover her face, of course, but making “a villain’s helmet” felt a lot easier than when she was trying everything else. And it showed in how she actually managed to finish the helmet in relatively little time. “You might be onto something here, Jun. Thanks for the assist.” Smiling with great satisfaction she said, "of course I am. Nothing can stop me when I think about it!" Smiling more as she made this boast, it then turned into a more crafty one as she said, "buuuut, if you really wanted to thank me." Tugging on and adjusting her bowtie, the girl smiled saying, "why don't you and your club come with me to Kickoff!"
  18. Leon couldn't help but sigh at the spectacle that Alexis had put on, nearly immolating her instrument by accident. Though it was the first time he had seen her do something like this, it still brought about a familiar feeling to him. One that he couldn't help but give a small chuckle to. All the same, the boy had looked over to see Ada leaving after the two had a small exchange, the feeling of friction that seemed to be present between the two being all too apparent. It wasn't as though Leon didn't think the two would have an issue. Even he took some getting used to with Ada's magic when they had first met, and Alexis was far and away more stubborn about these beliefs than he was. All the same, he wasn't entirely in a position to refuse her help, and that she came along with them instead of telling anyone else about their group was only a net positive. Leon, however, had no idea how to ease the situation between the two, knowing that trying to convince one or the other to compromise likely wouldn't end well. So, he simply left Ada to go speak with Raynor, who he himself also seemed to be studying the same dark tome he had been earlier. Raising an eyebrow at it again, Leon turned back to Alexis and said, "well, since you seem to be up to all of your usual tricks and stumbles, I take it everything's same old same old back home?" Though there were no bears in immediate eyesight to draw the attention, it had seemed as if the woods themselves were conspiring against Yue. As the Jouran had gone to inspect the bow, there was little to district the Yonan from the situation, as even the usual sounds of the insects in the woods seemed to have vanished. This created a silence only broken by either of the two Iron Falcons, and the occasional sounds of branches and bushes being stepped on in the distance, as if animals were still moving through it.
  19. With Jacklyn in a huff, the girl seemed more annoyed then anything else, and looked confused while Dennis made his own confused statement. As the boy started talking about leaving, the girl folded her arms and just said, "why would you leave? This lighthouse isn't broken or haunted or anything so it's not like there's anything to explore. And this is your place anyway, right?" If anything, Jacklyn was the one that wanted to leave this place quickly. Unfortunately, Ivan was still asleep and they had a ladder and stairs to go down. And Jacklyn had no desire to carry her traveling companion, nor did she think she physically could anyway. So instead, she just stood there, annoyed and impatient, waiting to get going. As the boy had apologized to Belle, the girl let out a sigh saying, "jeez was that so hard?" It was then that Belle had asked him to apologize to Jacklyn for his Haunter's attack. The girl looked to the boy, though, she didn't really seem to be expecting anything from it. She didn't quite care about the attack, being perfectly honest, and that he had apologized to Belle was good enough for her. The girl's eyes then looked over to Belle, who seemed to be looking at her. The blunette, however, did seem to be expecting something. From Jacklyn. Looking to her with a "seriously" face, the girl let out a sigh and said. "Fine, fine. I'm sorry for like, throwing you. And stuff."
  20. Stella had been to her fair share of fast food restaurants and knew how crowds and the like usually worked in there. However, quite like her room had been, there had been something disturbingly robotic about the way that the line had moved along. Not to mention something unsettling about the uniformity of the two as they took her and Vivian's order. All the same, the girl got herself a plain cheeseburger, with a small fry and soda. Sitting down with the girl, Stella almost went to go eat her burger though stopped herself as she realized that Vivian was quite hyped up for this moment. Figuring it would be rude to just casually bite into it, the girl kept herself waiting to see Vivian's reaction to the food. Smiling a bit as she seemed to be enjoying herself, Stella then went to go eat her own, raising an eyebrow as the girl made her comment about missing them. "Well, that's not the only reason you shouldn't eat these all the time." Continuing to eat the burger, Stella realized something odd. Thinking back about her own home, she couldn't imagine any diners or restaurants without meat in them. Curiously looking at Vivian she said, "so, back on your planet. Do you guys only have like, vegetarian restaurants or something?"
  21. With the plan being to stop by both places, as Cora mentioned the proximity of her house to the mayor's Alois nodded saying, "basically that. Oh and," looking back to Cora he said, "no need to apologize. We're basically a rowdy band of misfits anyway. But, we're in luck.'" Looking back to Cat he then said, "now's prime time to explore if you don't want to catch any trouble. After all, those three are the most likely to get into trouble by themselves anyway." Alois paused for a moment, seeming to be vaguely unsettled by what he just said. "Wait..." he muttered, though shook it off soon after. "But well, I guess we should go wait for them at the front." Looking to Edrick he said, "small as this zoo of a town may be, I don't think you want Penelope to think we all turned into animals, right?" Offhandedly he said, "amusing as that may be." Looking over to the new girl and Adelheide he said, "since you two are busy here, if the boy and his frog come back, be sure to tell them where we went." Seeing though that Adleheide was mostly engrossed in her medical procedures and that the girl, Citron, still seemed out of it, he looked to Peaches. "Well, Pinky, I'm sure you can handle it, right?" With that, Alois began to walk back to the front gate. Tsetseg was a bit confused about the conversation that was going on between Penelope and Licorice, but didn't really bother to think too much on it. Sure, things changed and the people you were around changed from time to time, but Penelope still thought that didn't they wouldn't be having loads of fun time in the future. All the same, as the black fluffy tailed fox protean had finally seemed to calm down, the group was now able to joyously meet back up with the others. Seeing that the path back, though, was clearly carved out for them, as Penelope went to reassure Licorice about her actions, the girl smiled widely as well saying, "yeah! Thanks for the help Licorice!" It was then that Ciela spoke up again, and while the girl was still annoyed at her refusal to hand over her clearly evil dark magic experiments, she was also interested in her question. "Yeah, yeah. Dariela some kind of like, super hunter or something? She seemed to be like really, really good at seeing things."
  22. As Marie continued to keep her face in the ground, more so because she could barely keep herself conscious then anything else, she heard a familiar voice speak out to her. Weakly looking up, the girl saw a can of something in front of her, and suddenly feeling quite parched, had opted to grab at it. Slowly pulling the tab open on the can, the girl began drink down what she could only assume was lemonade, starting slowly but drinking faster the more she did. Feeling revitalized from the drink, the girl's eyes opened up more as she was more able to see the scenery around her. Looking at the ground, the girl felt a small sickness go through her stomach, which was made only more unpleasant having just drank something, seeing a small red stain on the ground. Looking up more, the girl got even more startled as she saw...something...that wasn't there before, and was not at all sure what to make of them. Hearing them shout back to Allie, Marie recognized the voice as being Nani's but they certainly didn't look like the Mimikyu that she had known. As Allie had seemed to be shouting at them that they should be joining them in their quest to kill the legends, Nani had then ranted towards them which also lit a fire in Marie as well. With her expression still be greatly annoyed at the Tyranitar. "More...more than anything, though," the girl huffed as she was still trying to catch her breath from all the injury she had just sustained. "More than anything," pointing an accusatory finger at the Tyranitar she shouted, "what kind of a big sister are you!?" Glaring at the god slayer she continued shouting, "a big sister is supposed to be cool, responsible, and a good role model for their siblings! And you're none of those things!" Gritting her teeth she continued, "you left your siblings on their own! And the only example they had to follow and to keep you around almost got them killed! So why should I ever join a big bully's gang to do whatever world things you want when I don't even trust you as a big sister!" As it turned out, both Nine and Lok had done a good enough job of convincing Skymin to come with them. Letting out a sigh of relief as the legend had gave their greetings he then had a brief flash of worry as he had changed back into the female Shaymin, who promptly passed out. Assuming that it must have been some sort of fatigue related thing, Nine still said, "ma'am, are you feeling alright?" Regardless of how she answered, the Houndoom would either help her to her feet or, if she remained passed out, hoist her onto his back to carry her. With that done, he looked to Gwen saying, "well, that about solves that. Shall we return?"
  23. With Ryia and Keres being brought up to speed on the current situation that the group was in, she certainly felt for the woman in need of help. Yet, naturally, the issue of there being another chosen had to take priority over the woman's troubles, if for no other reason than the woman hadn't even asked them necessarily. Ryia was curious as well about the possibility of their being another chosen. While she was naturally skeptical of the idea of their being another chosen, having met every other chosen so far in the council's tower, the girl was still quite curious about them. The timing of someone else going around saying they were the chosen was certainly convenient to their own, and it would similarly be convenient if there actually was another chosen that could aid them on their quest to stop the demons. With Keres's words as well helping reassure that it was possible they were real, Ryia set out with the rest of the gang to go meet this supposed chosen. As the group approached where they were supposed to go, there was clearly a man who stood out amongst the rest of the crowd. Looking at his imposing, if not for his own appearance then because of the animal next to him, figure, Ryia figured that this was probably the man they were looking for. Looking at him, the girl awkwardly stood there, not entirely sure how to start a conversation with the man without feeling horribly awkward about it. Of course, the longer she stood and said nothing, the more awkward she'd probably feel. And with no one else breaking the ice here, Ryia stepped forward trying to free herself from this awkwardness. Approaching the man slowly, the girl asked, "um, excuse me uh...um, are you the Chosen?" He turned around dramatically. "Aha, another adoring fan! Yes, tis I, Geoff, the Chosen you have undoubtedly heard so much about!" Taken aback by the sudden contrast between the figure she had just seen and loudness of the one she was talking to, Ryia said, "um, not uh, not exactly- but well, um." The girl paused, trying to figure out how best to ask him about his chosen status without just bluntly stating so. As that would be rude. As she couldn't, though, she simply fell back on what it was they were actually asked to do. "Geoff um - chosen uh - we uh, we have a request from someone - someone in town." He tipped his hat down and chuckled. "Ah, yes, of course, many people have come to me with requests. For I am greatness incarnate. What is your request?" "Well, um, there is a woman in town and her uh, her husband went missing - outside of the city in um...near a farm, I think." "Ahh, I see, a woman in town, I understand." He nodded, looking sympathetic in Ryia's direction. "Never fear, I can easily take care of this task and the other 279 I have gotten from the others in town!" Clearly stunned by this the girl blurted out, "t-two hundred?" "And 79, yes." He said, nonchalantly. "Uhhh...wow...." Ryia looked at the amount, dumbfounded and impressed at the same time by the sheer amount of work this man was willing to take on. "That uh, sounds like an awful lot for one person." "Perhaps were I a normal man it would be but I am the Chosen! A great hero of lore! It will be just like another Tuesday for me!" "I uh...I suppose so..." The initial shock that Ryia had had when the man introduced himself was wearing off, now bearing way to skepticism as she was certain that the whole group of chosen couldn't possibly handle that many requests. Trying to wonder where it was that the man was getting such power or sheer ability to multitask from, the girl asked, "if you don't mind me asking...what uh...what chosen are you?" He threw his head back and laughed. "Is it not obvious?" He stepped to the side of the beast by him and gestured to it with one hand. "I am the Chosen of Buffalo!"
  24. While Yuuka had been thinking about twins and their quirks, she giggled a bit as she was praised by her teacher and her teacher, in turn, praised herself. she was brought back by Itsuki's comment about improvement. And as well as Hibiki's agreement with that. Frowning a bit, the girl nodded along as their teacher had told them that there was still more to learn about their own quirks. She was positive that Hibiki seemed to be just as blessed with her bundle of abilities that she had gotten from being a bat, and she could hardly believe that the energetic girl hadn't thought about what other bat things she could do. And she was already aware, based on their first meeting, that Itsuki still didn't have a full mastery of his own quirk. All the same, the girl was quite enthused about the prospect of thinking of how to develop other people's quirks. These thoughts as well, however, were broken up as it appeared that their method of payment wasn't valid at the ice cream shop. Having no money herself, Yuuka simply stood up with a smile on her face, saying, "I apologize for the inconvenience." With that, the girl ran out of the building alongside her teacher. With the door of her house being unlocked, and seeing the shoes at the front entrance, Yuuka took her own off and simply said, "Mom, I'm home." When there was no response, the girl frowned as she moved started to move further into her house, hearing an all too familiar noise as she made her way to the living room. The sound of light snoring was the sound that accompanied the sight of Yuuka's mother sleeping on the couch. The woman seemed to have her bag at the side of the couch, with some papers scattered around the table. Sighing, Yuuka said, "Mom. Moooom." As the woman seemed to be fast asleep, Yuuka tried to figure out how else to wake the woman up as she couldn't just jostle her awake. As she was thinking, though, she caught a glance of herself in the reflection of her window. Raising an eyebrow, the girl moved to the bathroom, looking at her reflection in a proper window. "Oh..." Pausing at the sight, Yuuka realized that her hair was entirely messed up, seeming to be far more unkempt and with a good bit of dirt in it. The rest of her seemed to be similarly dirty as well, her clothes as well having looking roughed up and like she had rolled around on the ground, and seeing all this the girl could only imagine what kind of awful state her back probably looked in. Figuring that it was probably better to not let her mother see her like this, the girl had opted to not wake her. Instead, walking into her mother's room, the girl fetched her mother's blanket off of her bed, laying over top of the woman. The girl had then moved herself to the kitchen, pulling out a cup of instant ramen, before retiring to her room for the night. Yuuka had enjoyed the more down to earth days of schooling that had followed the trip. While she was always thrilled to get to more hero things and physical activities, her back had had a different say in the matter. It was only now that she wasn't feeling terribly sore and the bruises on her back had been starting to fully heal from her fight against Renegade and Gypsy. However, now it was the time for quirk training, something that girl had been thoroughly looking forward to since her conversation with her fellow students and teacher at the ice cream shop. Marveling at the training facility, Yuuka giggled a bit at Valerie's comment saying, "well, it would be a problem if I could break these rooms." Looking back to the other students she said, "good luck everyone!" With that, the girl moved onto her own training room.
  25. Nodding as the two girls had said that they wished to go hunting, Leon merely did his part around camp as the group got to setting things up. Aiding Raynor in collecting the fire wood, and then helping pitch whatever shelter was needed, when all was said and done, Leon merely let out a heavy sigh. Rather than sitting, Leon took it upon himself to lie on his back on the ground, looking at the stars that seemed to peer through the the canopy of leaves the treetops formed. Having felt quite tired for awhile now, Leon took this moment of camping to try and unwind as best he could. The marching itself was physically strenuous and while it had definitely been no small part to Leon's fatigue, this hadn't been the first job they took which required a good deal of travel. More it was his thoughts on the bandits, the job they were taking, and the people he was with. Once they had gotten to Enta and delivered Edda there, what would come next? As things were, returning home and continuing on with business as usual hardly seemed like it would work out for long. While the boy was lost in his thoughts, a tune started to ring out as he heard the tune of a pan flute play throughout the camp. He wasn't surprised as he looked to who was playing the music, and simply closed his eyes to the relaxing tune as she lied there. Calming himself a bit as she played her flute, the boy then heard his other companions speak up. Sitting up a bit, Leon looked to Ada and said, "yeah. She might not look it, but," looking over to Alexis he said, "you always seemed to be a better bard that you were soldier." Not to mention he felt her demeanor was far more suited to it as well. Edda, meanwhile, had merely sat a bit away from the rest of the group, facing the edge of the river. She didn't say anything, simply sitting there, curled up a bit as she had the hood of her cloak up, obscuring her face. Yue and Rona would find that as they left the camp grounds, that animals were scarce around the location they had set up. There were no large animals to speak of in their pursuit of game, instead only seeing small birds and land mammals across the forest floor. And even those were few and far between, seeming to be quite alert to the presence of their hunters were they to carelessly approach. Even still, as Yue had remarkable skill with a bow, she would find bringing down game with her arrows difficult but not impossible.
