  1. While Hibiki and Yuuka's team attack had managed to restrain the man briefly, the girl could only look impressed as she saw the energy trail from the man's neck to his arm. As she was forced off by a burst of energy, the girl stumbled back saying, "ooh. I see, I see." Figuring out more about the man's quirk, she had realized that the control and applications this man with had this ability were greater than she had initially estimated. As it turned out, it didn't matter - The girl's thoughts were cut off as her arm was suddenly grabbed and she herself was launched through the air. Feeling a strange sense of wonder as she floated through the air, the girl let out an, "ooooh- oof." Her wonder was cut off and replaced with pain as she slammed against the wall of a building. Falling to the ground, the girl felt a large amount of pain radiate from her back, spots forming in her vision as she scrunched her face in pain. As it turned out, buildings hurt. A lot. A good note for later, for sure, but for now it was more a hindrance than anything else. Slowly pushing herself up back to her hands and knees, Yuuka looked to the other classmates to see what would be done about this thuggish man. As it were, no one of them had the ability to take him down, and given Taro and Herc's abilities she was sure that them trying anything recklessly would only end in disaster. She herself was at a severe disadvantage. With her quirk being more potent with touch, she was far enough away, needed to recover from her current back pains and the man was just faster than her anyway, she doubted she would get the opportunity at present to touch him. Nevertheless, Yuuka figured her own predicament had little bearing on the path for victory her fellow students. If everything about the man's quirk she thought was true, then there were certainly a few weaknesses of it that were in their favor, it was just up to them to figure it out. All the same, while Yuuka had much preferred watching her fellow classmates problem solve, she would be lying if she said the energy of the situation wasn't getting to her as well. An obligation to continue fighting herself, as it were. And so, giving what little support she could, Yuuka formed a ball of mist in her hand again. Tossing it, she aimed to explode the poison on top of the man yet again.
  2. Marie had been riding the wave of the surf alongside Keanu, but soon was emptied out of it as the Heatran came to smash his head against the creator of the wave. Flopping down onto the hot rocky ground of the volcano, steam rising off of her almost immediately as it did so, the girl attempted to get herself back up before looking to the legend. Annoyed at the whole situation, Marie could only hurl back the most daring and mature of insults towards Heatran as she shouted, "no you stop!" As the Heatran slammed his head against the substitute left behind by as Marie blasted yet another water gun into him, as well as the wave of the surf colliding at the same time. The double water attack seemed to do a number on the legend, and with the pause, Marie was beginning to realize just how brutally hot it was as she wiped her brow of sweat in spite of not really doing much. Wanting to get the place cooled down and try to quell the fires a bit, Marie began to sing a soft and somber tune as the clouds above began to rain once more. Heatran, in response, dove into the lava nearby, only to then burst out behind Marie. "You're so full of tricks aren't you?" As the legend began to brings its hand down to grab at Marie, the girl dove forward with all the grace of a magikarp onto the ground onto the hot stone floor. "Ow, ow, ow," as she laid there, stinging a bit from the rocks, the girl looked back to Heatran. "And you're really...um...magma-y! Uh..." Marie seemed confused by her own retort, before letting loose yet another blast of water at the legend. As he was struck the man simply let out another roar, still seeming able to fight. Nine sat by the fire, more pensive as Gwen explained her version of destiny to him. As she posed a question to him, Nine simply put a finger to his chin. If he hadn't already thought that she had been hiding something from him, Nine was now affirmed that there was something up with this woman. All the same, he only cared about answering her question now rather than trying to interrogate her in any capacity, and simply looked back to her. "Well, doesn't that depend on the task? After all, if it was something I enjoyed then naturally I'd have no qualms about wanting to perform that task. But, if it was something I didn't like well." The Houndoom thought for a moment before flatly saying, "I'd run. After all, there's no meaning in a task that neither brings you joy nor an end you want, so it'd be simple to just run from it and figure something else out to do with myself." Looking directly at the woman after he said this, a more caring kind of smile on his face then there had been prior, Nine simply said, "so, I suppose I should ask something I haven't yet. What do you want to do Gwen?"
  3. As both Jun and her captain had made their way to the team's meeting area, the girl saw that the one that she had tested had been waiting near building. As he came over to offer his assistance, Jun smiled saying, "Shiro! Well, if you're offering." Jun, despite clearly carrying less than her captain, passed off one of her boxes to her recruit, smiling and humming to herself as she now had a lighter load. Once inside, the the group had placed down their boxes and Jun had taken her spot next to Hitomu as he began the introductions to all of the members. As he motioned to her, Jun merely smiled and gave a few waves to everyone. As Hitomu opened the floor for questions, Jun looked towards Hiraku first. Forming an "X" with her sleeved arms, shaking her head. "No can do, Hiku. This is a part of every first day meeting and will continue to be so!" After all, if she had to sit through it for 2 years she certainly wasn't going to let her underclassman get away with less. She then turned to Gabriela saying, "and most are decent enough people," she shot a side glance to Hiraku for a moment before smiling and turning back to the "princess," "but a review is always necessary." Well, it's not like anyone was going to really tune into it during the review, so she hardly doubted that was the case. But as vice-captain Jun couldn't really tell them otherwise. "If you break it's a pretty big deal, so we just have to make sure that all of our members know what they're getting in for." As the girl thought about it some more, she thought to have a little fun with the freshman smiling brightly as she said, "and if you're from a different kingdom, you want to make sure that both codes of conduct are the same right?"
  4. Stella was more relieved then she had ever thought she would be about departing off the ship. It had been a rough experience for her and having to finally not worry about the ground underneath her shake, due to apparently someone just not piloting the ship, and Stella was more than happy to be off of it. Walking along with everyone else, the group was eventually a woman who introduced herself as the vice principal of MechA Cademy. The voice and tone the woman had was enough to jolt Stella into a straighter standing posture, but this gave way to sheer awe as the group was presented with the building that was to be their academy. Everything from prestige to actual size seemed to be on a grand scale when it came to the school, seeing that the building that their school was was more akin to a castle then anything else. As the group entered the massive auditorium, Stella stood around, still in awe at just where they were. As the vice principal began the introductions of what to expect here, the girl couldn't help but feel like at this moment she was being watched. At all times. A slightly disturbing thought to take in, but all the same, she continued to listen to the introductions. The three heads of the households. Stella was not exactly the best when it came to people, nor was she normally involved in gossip. And then there was house Bomb, a crowd that she certainly hadn't ever fit in with before. As such, the natural option was the Steel Hounds, and more to the point, she was no good as she was as a mech pilot. The girl took a glance over to her friend as she reaffirmed how useless she had felt during the last battle, and the fact that she couldn't run well across the ship was more a convenient excuse then anything else. Of course, this wasn't entirely her decision to make. While Stella had resonated most with the Steel Hounds, she ultimately doubted that Kelsey had. And, though she knew her friend wouldn't force her to, Stella still felt an obligation to both go along with her and help her out wherever she went. After all, it wasn't Kelsey's first choice to become a mech pilot. The girl was brought out of her funk, however, as the vice principal had gone on to introduce the principal. A man whose name she had only heard stories of - and of course every episode in the cartoon series that depicted his rise to glory as he invoked the spirit of an ancient warrior named Metal Crusher, "Horace and the Mechas of the Universe" - Stella was naturally overwhelmed and unsure of what to make of the real thing before her. As she seemed at a loss for words, though, it had appeared that a party was starting as a giant disco ball began to spin from the ceiling. While Stella had tried to recover her composure, she was surprised as someone else had come up to her. The girl wasn't exactly sure what to make of her, as she seemed to just state thoughts that Stella had when entering. "Yeah...it uh...sure is." Stella, with her equally as informed and observationally astute comment, only seemed to freeze up herself. Clearing her throat, trying to still get over all the introductions and everything they had seen so far, Stella continued. "It certainly hasn't been the first day i was expecting so far. Or the building I was expecting for that matter." Briefly shifting her gaze back to her friend, Stella then looked to the ceiling saying, "I wonder what else they use this place for."
  5. As the group continued to walk through the country side, Damien had eventually walked to her side, breaking her concentration. The girl looked to him merely saying, "oh, um, no not really. Just...looking out and all...this place is, um, new and all so-" before she could keep up with her master conversational skills, though, the group's walk had been brought to a halt. With large, flying insect creatures, adorned with large and deadly looking stingers at the base of their abdomen coming out from the bushes, it was clear that they had to get straight to keeping these creatures off of them. Seeing Lindow come up and get ready to engage, Ryia looked back to see the other's situation. Noting that Keres was far further back then the others, with only Reinaan as her support, the girl looked to Damien and said, "um, help the others. Up here. I'll um," without really finishing it, the girl moved to the back of the group. As she did, Reinaan had seemed to be in a tangle with two of them, with Keres just barely managing to avoid the stinger of the one nearest her by using water to push it back. Getting in there, the girl bashed her mace against her shield, before swinging at the creature to get it off the young water mage. The bee scooted back, to which Ryia merely stepped forward and swung at the creature's abdomen. As she hit, there was a crunching noise against the creature's stomach only for it to attempt to come and stab at her neck with its stinger. Bringing her shield up, the girl raised her shield up and knocked the stinger away, denting her shield in the process. Swiveling around, the girl then went for a swing at the bee's stinger as it went for yet another attack at her. Though, as the creature was far more nimble than she was, it had managed to get out of the way, attempting to finish the thrust into her neck. However, before the creature could finish its attack, it had appeared to be halted, whips of water wrapped around it and keeping it in its place. Despite the restraints, however, the creature still seemed to be moving forward, dragging Keres along with her. Attempting to halt the creature's movement, Ryia went to swing at both of the bee's wings, though this only proved to make the bee's movements more erratic than anything else. Going for another attack, parrying the bee's stinger as it went for yet another attack against her, Ryia had managed to bash her mace against the bee's skeleton yet again, the creature seeming to slow down as the damage was starting to take its toll. Unfortunately for her, as she went for one more swing, the restraints seemed to weaken and the bee was freed from Keres's grasp. The earth chosen was certainly getting frustrated with this nimble creature's movements, and only more so as she went for yet another swing that the bee darted away from. Ryia's attention was then briefly brought away from the bee, seeing a large amount of water form above the bee, but due to its movements was never over it for too long. Thinking she had to do something to keep it still, the girl went to swing once more, the bee backing away before going in for a sting. This time, however, rather than parry the attack away, Ryia merely extended her shield arm out to absorb the blow. As the stinger struck her shield, she could feel the strength that this creature had, as there was certainly a large amount of tugging behind it. All the same, the water came into position and with a simple, "sorry about this," Keres dropped the water down from the sky. Ryia's vision and breath were momentarily clouded and stopped, as she whipped the now wet hair out of her eyes and let loose a gasp for air. Though she was not entirely expecting the water to drop down on her, now a bit soaked, it had seemed to do its job as the bee was grounded. With a frustrated final swing, Ryia brought her mace down, hitting the bee with a sickening crush as its guts spilled out from its exoskeleton. Standing up straight, the girl attempted to catch her breath and looked to Keres. "Be - be careful. Some are - some are in the grass."
  6. As Alois managed to cross the river, he heard the princess speak back to him, only for the boy to look back. Annoyed he started saying, "by not - " he cut himself off, simply mumbling to himself as he saw a new opponent in front of him. Looking back to the beaver, Alois cracked his knuckles as he got ready to punch a beaver. Before the two could get to their confrontation, though, Alois could only look to Gunther with a slight look of disbelief. The boy looked to the knight, the beavers that were staring at him, the beaver that was staring at him, the sky and back to the knight. Pinching the bridge of his nose, Alois started, "yeah we'll just chat over tea and - you know- alright, but I'm going to punch this thing if it bites me." Looking to the beaver he said, "hey." Alois put his hands to his side as his voiced seemed to be more confused then anything else. "I'm...not going to punch you? So don't bite me. Or the rope. You know? You," he pointed to the beaver. "Me." He pointed to himself. "None of this," he made a biting motion before shaking his head. "Are we...clear?" Tsetseg had grappled the beaver fearlessly, and in spite of its best efforts, had managed to hold onto the creature. As it was wriggling around, the young huntress was having difficulty keeping it in place, just barely being able to do so as a culmination of all of her protean hugging practice. As Edrick had gone to smash his spear into the beaver, the small girl let out a yelp as it had almost hit her head. This did nothing to help her grip on the small creature, but the girl grit her teeth as she said, "I got this, got this, got this." The girl thus attempted to keep the beaver grappled more, pressing more of her, albeit small, body against it to keep it pinned to the ground.
  7. Kiyoko looked over to Shannon as she had answered the question, surprised but otherwise satisfied that things seemed to work out. While she was about to turn her attention back to her food, her plate seemingly empty without her realizing, the girl then heard Leiko answer. Kiyoko was, naturally, much less satisfied with this answer. She didn't quite understand what Leiko was talking about nor did she understand what was holding her back, though as one thing about the duel was apparent Kiyoko couldn't help but have a frustrated and annoyed expression cross her face. The girl seemed to brood a bit before Zirco had said something interesting. Raising an eyebrow at his statement about his dragon, the girl didn't quite have the chance to ask as a pancake slapped him in the face. As Mr. E seemed to be intent on them not talking about their dragons, the girl would have to wait to figure what he meant, as she was in no way eager of getting a pancake to the face.... Kiyoko stood up from her seat and left, only to come back with a couple more pancakes on her plate. Cutting into it the girl simply kept to her pancakes, as she just seemed mull over what was to come.
  8. With Cherry going for yet another pound, the Murkrow had flown at her, beak at the ready. With the two strikes colliding, it was clear that they were in pain, but the Murkrow had the advantage as the second had flown swiftly towards Cherry. As the Buneary was recovering from its attack, it tried to escape from pursuit of the Murkow, only for the bird to keep up and ram into Cherry. With the dark aura that surrounded the Murkrow discharging against the Buneary, Cherry was knocked away and clearly in pain as the two Murkrow flocked towards each other, making clearly mocking "cawing" noises towards them. "Darn cheating hecklers." Jacklyn grit her teeth as she grumbled at their two on one tactics, only to then have another idea pop into her head. As Cherry stood up, clearly beaten up and struggling to keep herself in the fight, Jacklyn shouted, "come over Cherry! Jump to me!" The Buneary cocked its head to the side, but seemed to be trusting in her partner, leaping towards Jacklyn. Seeing the Buneary trying to escape, one of the Murkrows charged up a dark aura of energy around it as it went to keep pursuit against Cherry. With a smile on her face, Jacklyn caught Cherry but seemed to only hold on with one hand as she reeled her arm back. "Alright Cherry, use Pound!" Like a baseball, Jacklyn pitched Cherry forward, feet first towards the charging Murkrow. Cherry, realizing this was an all too familiar feeling, stuck her feet out catching the surprised Murkrow off guard and striking it in the chest. The strike seemed to keep the bird going, only to strike into the wall and knock it out. With Cherry landing to the ground, she simply let out a victorious, "buuuu," leaving the other Murkrow confused but still diving after the Buneary to avenge his fallen bird comrade.
  9. Something like that. Jr. Troopa is pretty dope. I dunno, Bug/Dragon? I like bugs. I like dragons. I'd like a combination of both of them. Probably physical attacker, moderate speed and physical bulk with poor special and special bulk? I dunno.
  10. In spite of the agony that her ears were going through, having not covered her ears to give away her own plan, Yuuka had smiled at the success of their plan. The car, which she certainly was not expecting, was certainly a good finisher against the man though, perhaps a tad excessive. Or it would have been, had the man not been able to still pick himself up from the impact. As he seemed angry with them, she presumed at least as both he and everything else around him for that matter, sounded very muffled, Yuuka couldn't help but get more excited. This was a real villain for sure! And she was in no better place to see how her fellow students, and she supposed herself, would do against such a cad. As the man charged forward to attack, Hibiki had jumped out of the way only to go in for yet another attack. Seeing the girl bare her fangs against the man, Yuuka had decided to give the bat girl an assist, rushing forward herself. Knowing her tactics and actual capabilities in this situation were fairly limited, Yuuka reached out with both of her hands. With poison coating both of her palms, the girl attempted to grab at one of the man's arms, both to inflict her own poison into them and keep the man at bay from continuing to punch a bat.
  11. Alois looked flabbergasted as the princess told him to keep moving on. Were it so easy, he was pretty sure that he would've been able to do that easily. However, there was a beaver attacking him, and so it was not actually easy. In fact, one would even say that having a giant over sized river rat with giant teeth trying to gnaw out one's leg or the rope they were holding onto would make it quite difficult. As he was about to shout back at the princess, he looked back to the rodent. "Shiro? Beaver?" The boy looked confused as the two had apparently just disappeared from his field of view. "Well, okay..." Looking back to the girl he shouted, "fine! But put the book away. Last thing we need is you down stream and down one book." With that the boy began to make his way across the river yet again, only to now see Gunther was...talking to the beavers. "Of course he is." Alois continued his journey across the river, simply mumbling to himself. Tsetseg had been successful in her prowl, having made her way to circle around and get a flank on a beaver. Looking at them, the Locrisian hunter had turned her attention to the one that had been getting ready to strike at the Pontic boy. Seeing it begin its run up, Tsetseg began to crouch before leaping forward, trying to tackle the beaver in the middle of its charge.
  12. As Layne had made his comment about bandits, Leon turned back saying, "there's generally a lot of gangs around this area." Pulling out a map of Aeora, he pointed to where they were, the South-western part of Aeora saying, "this is where we are right now, and," he pointed northward towards Faeus and then south eastward towards Enta. "These are the two most major centers of power. We're in a bit of a political void around these areas and they aren't nearly as supervised, so crime tends to happen a lot more. So, we should probably keep our wits about us. " The boy then turned back, seeming to still look around with a bit of concern on his face. "Wonderful," was all that could be heard from Edda, at the comment. Eventually, the group had kept moving through the road, until Rona had been able to see what looked like a scene of a crime. What appeared to be the remnants of an attacked caravan, carts and the manner either on their side, abandoned, broken or some combination of the three. While the wyvern riders seemed to have her doubts about the scene, wanting to steer clear of it, the commander pondered it for a moment. As dangerous as this area of Aeora was, the roads were still the safest part to travel on, and if there was someone in trouble, the boy didn't want to risk of the chance of aiding them. Turning to the rest of the Falcons, Leon said, "alright, there's a sign that some kind of struggle took place up ahead. Keep your wits about you since we don't know where their attackers might have gone." With that, Leon lead the group up the road, walking cautiously towards the caravan. As they got close, though, they would be able to hear very obvious sounds of things moving around in the broken carriages. Bursting out from the covers, bandits seemed to pour out of the wooden vehicles, all sneering and at the ready to attack. Behind the furthest carriage, one bandit turned to another saying, "look boss! We did it! Your trap worked like a charm." The boss, as it were, let out a sigh as he saw the group get close. "You dolt. I told you to jump out when they got in the center of our trap. Does that," he motioned over to them, "look like the center?" Before the lesser bandit could respond, the boss looked at the group again. "Wait...why is there a wyver- why is there a salam- is that three Jourans?" "Isn't that great boss. The posters only talked about one. This is like, triple the pay, right?" "No! This is the worst!" The bandit boss started to seem to go into some form of crisis, muttering to himself about only ever wanting to remain a petty thug and on the lower end of banditry hierarchy. "Ah whatever, they're already here and we're bandits so...let's kill 'em men!" With a resounding shout, the rest of the bandits cheered as they seemed ready to battle. Leon, thoroughly confused, looked at the bandits then back to the Falcons as he said, "um, prepare for combat?" Shaking off the oddity of the situation, Leon said, "our job now is to clear the road of these bandits." As he said this, Leon looked back to Edda, who seemed to be far more primed to fight the bandits than she did awkward. Handing off an iron sword to the girl, saying, "here, use this to defend yourself with." Edda seemed confused by the gesture, but took the blade all the same. "Alright, let's move out Falcons."
  13. The chosen of Earth had mulled over the problems that seemed to be plaguing the area. The first of the issues seemed to be more monster related and while Ryia was not knowledgeable on the type of monsters involved she was definitely already feeling more comfortable with the idea of dealing with this then she had been bandits or the sun. The second problem, however, was far more unexplored territory. Obviously there was something very strange about a lake with a permanent mist field around it. Her mind could race between it being some weird freak weather, to ghosts, to of course a Demon Gate. The girl was neither sure of how long the town around it was founded nor did she know how long the demon gates around. However she was aware that it probably something dangerous that needed their attention all the same. The girl simply shuddered at the thought of having to fight in water though and was not at all keen to actually explore it. All the same, as the others before her had, Ryia bowed and thanked the knights for their aid before nidding to Pyrrahs question. Thus, the group began to walk down the road to their next destination. Ryia was more focused on her surroundings than she was the others, simply on the lookout for if any kind of monster was skulking about.
  14. Nine smiled, only to have his own expression grow more somber as Gwen's tone did. As the two simply sat there in silence by the fire, Nine perked up at the woman's question. "Destiny huh?" The young Houndoom placed his hands onto the ground, as he threw his head back and looked to the sky above. After thinking on it for a moment, without looking back to the woman, the chaser said, "not really no. We're all individuals and all making choices, and I can't possibly think that everything I've ever wanted to or ever will do was preordained. Not even the gods themselves seem like they're that rigid in following a set plan." Leaning back forward, he looked back to the girl asking, "so, what about you?" "Aaaaaaaah!" Marie shouted out as yet another giant glob of lava was shot at her. This one, she didn't have the benefit of being lobbed out of the way by Randy. She did, however, have the benefit of a Pikachu that was quite the surfer. As a wave was conjured up, it collided with the lava plume, the water destroying the plume. The wave as well, had managed to take the girl in its current as well, though Marie found herself having a much easier time moving through the large wave of water than she likely would have the hot stone of the volcano flooring. Riding the wave alongside Keanu, the girl managed to evade the stomping shockwaves of the Heatran, striking back with a water gun of her own.
  15. Going full meme status I'd probably just be a generic looking, common enemy. One you find lots of palette swaps of all with the same, yet still somehow slightly annoying, gimmick. Naturally I'd have a very boring, generic sounding random encounter music. Now, one a more serious note Probably would be some kind of recurring mini-boss of some kind. Still human in nature, or at least a mirror to whatever race the most common one is if not human. Probably in some kind of action RPG game. If it's a game with magic and elements and differing weapon types and styles then I'd probably start off using none of anything in my first encounter. Then as time goes on and you fight me more and more times, I basically get more and more options to do until I basically have all of them. Either that, or I basically just mimic whatever ability the player has. As for music, I dunno, I've always been into jazzy battle themes. Probably something mellow and slow in the first encounter, but gets progressively faster and with more instruments being added in on subsequent encounters.
  16. The girl looked at the beanie her captain was wearing as he pointed it out, only now seeming to actually read and notice what was on it. Given how Masked Chopper was pretty much an honorary toon monster, given how frequently appeared alongside her captain, the choice in teams seemed obvious in hindsight. Though, that would only be if Jun knew they existed, and in spite of her goal of making it pro she knew shockingly little about the scene and teams themselves. All the same, at Hitomu's comment she said, "well at least for your first year. After that, I'll be on my own team and then well," the girl thought for a moment as she kept walking. "Oh, I know! I'll still root for you. That way, when I enter the scene and beat you I'll get even more famous," the girl giggled to herself as she said this. Looking back to him she said, "joking aside, sounds like you got a fun job lined up after you're done here Captain."
  17. Dragging her friend along, Stella continued to listen to Kelsey as she recounted her adventures in space and combat. The girl had a brief smile on her face, though due to being ahead of her Kelsey wouldn't see it, though this didn't last long. As the girl's brief smile faded, she then looked shocked at Kelsey recounted how she almost blew up another student. Looking back to her, a stern expression on her face, the girl chided, "Kellz, what have I told you about paying attention. Especially when it comes to friendly fire." Stella had hoped some of her habits from gaming wouldn't translate over to actual mech combat, but such things seemed to die hard. Shaking her finger she said, "and you almost fell off the ship too. Honestly," putting her hand down and letting out a sigh, Stella kept walking ahead. After a few moments had passed, more subdued the girl, "but...glad things worked out for you out there."
  18. The girl saw the faces drop of those around her as she made her comment, much to the bored looking girl's amusement. Before she could say anything else, though, the witch then boldly made her way up to Ross. The young demon hunter wasn't sure what to expect from her, but her shoving her fingers in her face and prying open her lips certainly wasn't it. Stunned by the suddenness of it, Ross gave her a weird look and then to everyone else, only to then seem even more confused as the girl mentioned her eyes. It wasn't as though her eyes weren't strange, it was just a bit strange hearing it from the clear picture of normalcy that Morgan looked to be. Looking at her, Ross just asked, "having fun there," to Morgan. After that was done, it seemed that the group had, more or less decided to go see a movie now. Looking at the lion elf, she said, "sorry, majority votes movie. Besides, I'm too young to drink anyway. Oh," as almost an after thought she said, "I'm not a vampire. I just lived under a lot of dirt and rocks for awhile." Her tone, quite like before, did not seem to change in the slightest nor did her expression. Looking to Morgan and Aurora she said, "so, what kind of movies are you guys in the mood for. I'm down for something with action." As she began making her way for the door of the room she said, "oh. Right. One of you should probably lead the way. New in town, and all." Xia looked confused at the trio of others. She didn't quite get what they were trying to say, and voiced this aloud, asking, "what do you mean by a, uh, 'other universe'?" "It's such a pain to explain..." Valerie said. "But I guess I should start with...I used to fight in the Arena, just like you, but I...wasn't the first. Before me there was this...other Valerie. She was like me, I guess, but different. More flames, that weird spear thing, and not nearly as cool." She gave a brief smirk at this part. The dragon girl only seemed to grow more concerned by this explanation, sort of grasping that there was somehow two Valeries. "She's also a lot meaner." The Valerie in front of her right now was a friendly and fun person, so if they were the same Xia didn't know why she would do something so awful. "Yeah, well...that leads into the next part. She was the most popular fighter in the Arena. She won most of her matches and was, well, like me so you know. People loved her." She frowned. "No one knows what exactly happened but she eventually got enough points to take on that big event, you know the one I mean?" Xia thought on it for a moment before her eyes brightened up saying, "oh, the one with the dragons right?" Valerie snapped her fingers. "Exactly. So she took on that event and...something happened. She got hurt. Couldn't fight. But Mauvache didn't want people to know, since she was so popular, so...she brought me here. Eventually something....broke in the other Valerie and." She gestured out the window. "That." Xia's face looked downtrodden, as her thoughts went to what the other Valerie had to have been, and what she was now. "That's...awful...Oh," she then looked back to Valerie saying, "not that you were brought here. You're super awesome Valerie, but..." She then stared at the window in concern. "Yeah, it kinda sucked. Didn't help that I'm not exactly the same as she is. So things kinda got awkward. It wasn't long after that people started to quit." Xia looked confused by this and simply asked, "well, why did you quit, Valerie?" She shrugged. "Lot of others had already. Plus I didn't really like keeping up the act that I was someone else....Even if that someone else was me." Xia still seemed troubled by the whole thing, but eventually said, "so...she can't just...we have to make sure she doesn't do this again. Right?"
  19. Yuuka clapped at the masterful display of teamwork that she had seen her fellow students display. Between the pure strength of Herc, the showmanship of Taro and the fangs of Hibiki, it was short work to get rid of the garden variety street thugs. While the girl was feeling upbeat about the whole thing, Ms. Hitotsume had chastised bother her and Itsuki. While Yuuka was far less interested in how she herself would deal with these thugs, seeing the swift kick that their teacher had given that them, Yuuka had figured that it would be prudent to at least build up her experience right now. Thankfully, there was yet another set of people to gain said experience from. Though Yuuka had just resolved to fight herself, this thought was briefly derailed as she saw their teacher go into her hero costume, and eye appearing on their stomach as well. Yuuka let out an "oooh," as she did this, getting ready to fight. The girl was curious to see what "Demon Eyes" was all about, and watched their fight readily though had her attention drawn back as the other man seemed to goad them to battle. Itsuki seemed to want to be the first to get punched himself as he counter goaded the man, a bold choice indeed. She had an idea of what he was going for here, and was curious to see how it would play out for the boy, though he didn't seem to get the chance to try. Herc seemed to want to test the waters himself and stepping past Itsuki went to throw the first punch. Yuuka let out yet another, "oooh" as the man swiftly seemed to redirect the beetle man's fist and went for a punch himself. As the beetle man was launched by the punch, Yuuka merely muttered, "I see, I see." Were she Bruce Lee herself, she would be sure that her quirk would be fantastic against this man. She was however, sadly, decidedly not Bruce Lee - nor anywhere close to that level of martial arts prowess. She did, however, think there was something she could do here. And so, holding her hands behind her back, the girl started to form a small sphere of poison in her hand. Looking to Hibiki, she said, "oh, Hibiki, could you do that thing that you do super well?" After asking that, Yuuka lobbed the poison towards the man, the sphere exploding into a cloud around him. Though he wouldn't feel anything more than a light stinging sensation, the longer he stayed in the cloud, the more he would feel fatigue start to set in as well as the stinging sensation increase. So, she was hoping that Hibiki would be able to stagger him inside of it with her "super scream" of sorts. Yuuka only hoped that that was the only thing that Hibiki did super well, and that she did not have some latent talent at juggling or something.
  20. Jun listened to Hitomu's story as he tried to chastise her about responsibility and all that. Of course, while Jun would've probably ignored his story, she was actually left more confused then anything else by the end of it. Making her way out of the door of his room, the girl said, "right right Captain, I'll do my best to not end up like you." Her tone, naturally, conveyed a very disinterest in it. However she smiled as she jokingly said, "I suppose I can keep my uniform in my room then." As the two walked to the meeting place, Jun complained aloud. "Man, we should really have some kind of staff bring these boxes to the gym instead, it is their property after all." Realizing something the girl said, "oh, I heard you also got accepted to a pro team. Are they a cool one? They got a cool uniform? Think they'll make you carry all of them around too?"
  21. While Ivan seemed keen to let sleeping dogs lie, Jacklyn seemed to stay on guard. She slowed down her pace as well, keeping her guard up as the duo ascended the staircase to the top of the lighthouse. It didn't take long, however, for the circling birds to stop and, true to the girl's beliefs, heckle them. Shouting, "I knew it!" as the Murkrow flew straight towards her. Sending out her Buneary, the girl shouted, "alright Cherry, heckle them back!" Cherry was confused by the suddenness of this, but sprung to action quickly as she literally sprung to action. Leaping forward, the Buneary met with the Murkrow in mid air, exchanging a pound for a peck as the two collided. While Cherry managed to knock the Murkrow away, the Buneary was then caught off guard as the third Murkrow flew forward, striking Cherry in the side and knocking her down. Hitting the ground, the Buneary rolled before pushing her ears against the ground, launching her back into the air and back onto her feet. Both Cherry and Jacklyn seemed fired up, though the latter shouted, "hey, that's cheating! Alright Cherry, let's show these cheaters what for!" Letting out an enthusiastic, "bu!" in response, Cherry leaped forward to pound at one of them again.
  22. Marie was, quite frankly, baffled at the conclusion that Randy had come. She didn't really think fighting the man atop a volcano while it was about to erupt was going to stop the volcano from erupting. If anything, it was just going to make it erupt faster. However, she had come into it for the long hall, and so if they were going to die from magma, might as well be as a group. Once they reached the top, Marie seemed to be equally baffled, once again, as it had appeared that Randy's conclusion had been the correct one. Stunned by this, the girl just stood there as the fight began, only to get her senses back as Randy had pulled her out of the way the attack. As the two had gotten into a bit of a scuffle, the outcome of how this match was going to begin with was pretty clear. Marie was, however, sure that she couldn't get Randy out of this fight this early. She also couldn't really tell him to stop when stopping was going to end up blowing up the whole town. So, instead Marie had turned to Keanu, who was with them now which briefly took her a moment to realize before saying, "we gotta go help him." As Heatran had let loose a flamethrower, Marie herself took in a deep breath and fired off a jet of water towards the legend. Nine simply chuckled as Lok had made his comment about tricksters, clearly offended by what he had said. All the same, the boy's attention turned to Gwen, who had seemed to have her reservations in trusting legends. Given the two's experiences, Nine was sure that they had met a total of eight legends - a fact that briefly made the Houndoom stop as he realized the absurdity of that - over the course of this past month. And of them all, he could only really think of one of them as unrepentant. There was also one other outlier, but as Nine thought of them all he said, "well, the lot of them certainly seem like just people." His tone didn't seem to be comforting nor even really directed at Gwen, more so just thinking aloud. Eventually, the group had stopped for the "night" - according to Gwen at least - and the Houndoom couldn't help but smile as the girl made her pattened style of humor in telling him to light a fire. With his kindling before, a few sparks left Nine's hand before he tapped it and set the kindling ablaze. "There you are madam," with a small mock "tada" gesture, Nine sat down with the rest of the group. Seeing that Kayla had left, he felt the urge to go talk to her, but didn't as Lok floated over. Instead, sliding closer to Gwen he said, "seems like the Chaser business follows us wherever we go." Nine's expression seem lighthearted as he said this, continuing with, "but, how was it to be home?"
  23. With the destination decided, the group had gone on their none too enjoyable but necessary trip via teleportation. When next she opened her eyes after the experience, Ryia looked around to see that, they indeed had ended up in some place entirely different. Though they had already done this several times, Ryia was sure that opening her eyes and being somewhere new was never something she was going to get use to. All the same, the group was now at a bridge and surrounded by much more welcoming scenery then just an endless expanse of sand all around them. They were also welcomed by a few new friendly faces. The girl was, naturally, a bit on guard as the knights came to greet them, given what had happened last time. This was quickly assuaged, both by their knowledge of who they were and the antics between them, leaving the girl more confused then anything else. All the same, she managed to regain part of her composure and do a hasty bow, saying, "um, thank you...Sir...Perior." Reinaan then walked up and asked them about where the next town was, the girl seeing that he had the same kind of awkward feeling about them that she had. Looking to the knights as well, the girl asked as well, "um, yes. Would you uh, know about any...strange? Things, going on."
  24. Jun had been making her way to the duel team's meeting spot when she had gotten a text from her captain. The girl wasn't exactly surprised by the contents of the message, though raised her eyebrow as she saw the last part of it. All the same, the girl sighed as she quickly pivoted to change directions from the arena to the dorms. She didn't really want to carry a bunch of stuff, but she was unfortunately strapped with the duty of duel team pack mule, surrogate captain and...well, there was probably some other third thing. All the same, the girl sent a text back. From: Jun To: CapToon sure im on my way True to her word, Hitomu would, after not too much waiting hear Jun's presence be announced. Without knocking on the door, the girl simply barged in and with a long exaggerated wave she shouted out, "heyyyyyoooo Captain!" Walking inside, the girl looked around to see the set of boxes that needed to be carried. Looking to her Captain, whom she had seen was in his full duel team attire - she herself in her regular clothing with an official Blue Yonder pin on her hat as the only thing to show her team spirit - the girl's eyes then darted around the room. Looking back to him, the girl asked, "soooo, who's this mystery helper of yours?"'
