this is what happens when put the konami code in at the Just Dance title screen. 6/10, each bit is aight on its own but it constantly feels like it's gonna build up and it never does. It's like being blueballed but with music. 7/10 tbh. Incredibly well spliced, and vocoded Trump probably sounds better than his actual singing voice. OP's suggestion. When memes ascend even further beyond. 10/10
  2. Yes actually. Before launching this interest check, I took care to do worldbuilding on the state of every planet in the solar system, including Pluto, because it's a goddamn planet and I don't care what scientists say. This info was going to be added when I switched the thread to an OOC (possibly today), but since you've asked, here's the deets on Earth (and its moon) in particular. Ahem. In the late 21st Century, Earth officially became an uninhabitable planet due to centuries of mismanaged resources, careless pollution, and accelerating climate change. While this is true on paper, humans are incredibly tenacious creatures, and some choose to remain on the home planet of their species despite its extreme and wildly unpredictable conditions. The concepts of seasons and long-term climates no longer exist on Earth, and reliable weather forecasts are little more than wishful thinking. While Earth is still the political heart of humanity, the entirety of its political power is on the planet's moon instead, upon which is a capital city appropriately named Luna that spans its entirety. I should note on that same line of thought that every planet in the system has at least some people living on it except for Venus (too hot), with the population and quality of life varying between planets. This is little more than flavor stuff though since the RP is less about where you're from and more about where you're going. I want the plot meanwhile to be a healthy mix of interpersonal stuff amongst the crew of the Rebounder and meeting/working with/fighting lots of different aliens. Maybe we'll find space cthulhu and punch it in the face, or maybe we'll do some other crazy shit, or maybe we won't, who knows? Finally, an announcement. Three players besides myself isn't much, but it's a start. As such, I'll get started on the conversion to an OOC later today. In the meantime, I've set up a discord server and will be contacting each of you shortly with a link to it for ease of further discussion.
  3. IC Thread The Stellar Drive. The first engine that allows human spaceships to travel beyond the humble boundaries of a few planets orbiting the sun without needing fuel, and as such, the next great step forward in mankind's endless pursuit to improve, endure, and expand. The first ship sent out on such an ambitious mission - aptly named Stella - was completely destroyed in an accident that caused the ship's Stellar Drive to overheat and explode, killing everyone on-board. But humans, being incredibly difficult to deter, built a second one anyway. The recruitment process for a crew wasn't easy in the wake of the first ship's destruction, but after a couple years of looking around, a new ship called the Rebounder was fitted with a crew, better armor, more guns, and enough wares for sale to buy a nation with. Among the crew aboard the Rebounder are plenty of invaluable personnel. That's where you come in. Be it for fame, fortune, adventure, or just sheer boredom, you've signed on to join the crew of the Rebounder on its voyage beyond the home system of humanity, but what awaits your ship and crew once you spread your wings to explore the stars is anyone's guess. Be you diplomats, colonists, merchants, or warmongers, one thing remains clear. Mankind's second crew to take to the stars beyond will leave a lasting impact, either in their neighborhood, or across the entire galaxy. Rules "Plot" & Setting App Format Accepted Apps
  4. Location: Skrelp Harbor Poké: 700 "Ha, of course not! You haven't even met my ace yet! This guy won't lose to anyone! C'mon, go Machop! C'mon man, you can show how strong you are by fighting, go on, Karate Chop!" Kenta's second pokemon - his "ace" - machop. Sending out his ace second probably meant that was it, right? That meant if nothing else that Kanon had numbers on her side. As Kenta's Machop dived toward and subsequently chopped at Bubbles, Kanon couldn't help but wince at the sight. That was definitely a hit, and just as the reflective barrier Ursula had set up disappeared, too. Bubbles was knocked squarely onto his rear, but seemed able to keep going. The Poliwag stood back up shakily, eliciting a look of mixed approval and concern from Kanon. "Don't let up! Keep using your Water Gun!" That was the best way to approach this, right? Bubbles wasn't looking good, and while she didn't like seeing her pokemon get hurt, the best way to win was to trust in them until they couldn't go on, right? At her command, Bubbles spewed out another stream of water at Kenta's machop.
  5. Ah yes, I see the problem. Robin isn't to scale with the rest of them.
  6. how - if at all - do you feel about the upcoming 8th generation of pokemon games?
  7. "Well arrived to Alcoria, students. Follow me. You'll be cold and hungry by now, if I know Tyr. Come, I have already prepared your dinner." Cold and hungry indeed. Food sounded good. Something hot, and meaty. Sifu - along with the others, including that coward boy who had somehow managed to make the jump - followed into the cave that Sifu hadn't noticed at first, deeper into it, until being met with a door. It certainly wasn't like any door she'd seen before. And speaking of things unlike any she'd seen before... "Well then, greenhorns... welcome to Rath's Peak Academy. Pick your jaws off the floor and get moving!" Everything about Rath's Peak was a new sight to her, right down to the weather. She'd seen rain before of course - everyone had, right? - but never in this sort of quantity before today. The wooden buildings weren't like what she was used to, and the idea of carving what seemed to be some sort of settlement into the face of the cliff had always just been some wild imagination to her. Not to mention that rather imposing rathalos statue. In every way and form, this was nothing like what she'd grown up with. "Quite a place," Sifu couldn't help but comment. No time to be wasted, though. There was a good meal waiting for her, and so, Sifu didn't hesitate to start forward along the bridge, minding her steps as she started crossing. She'd been on bridges before, but none quite as high up as this. Falling would be bad news. Not bad enough to stop her from turning around though, continuing along backwards as she faced the other students that had joined. The coward boy in particuluar. "I'm surprised you made that jump at all," Sifu grinned. "You were shaking in your boots just seconds before jumping. Are you sure you want to be a hunter?"
  8. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "Y-yeah. Yeah, I did, so what? But it was kinda sandy and stuff, so I might not have seen it very clearly. I couldn't have. No face looks like that, I mean, no, of course not. Never mind. I didn't see anything." "I'm asking just out of curiosity," Nani clarified, as she continued the work on her hood. "Whatever campfire stories you've heard about what we do to people that see our faces, they're not true." That would be a terrible way to live. Not to mention inconvenient! "You were the only other one who could have seen it besides Allie, and it's not like anyone will believe her if she describes it anyway." A bit here, a bit there. Almost done! Just a tiny patch job for the mesh over her left eye, and... done! It certainly wasn't the prettiest job, but it was fast, and it was functional. It sure looked better than what would be underneath it, anyway. Aside from the patchwork of green thread now sprawled out across it, Nani's hood looked very much the same as it did before the fight, in all its Pikachu-like glory. "They say our kinds are connected, you and me. It's just a myth as far as I know, but the short version is the first Mimikyu was a different and unknown species at first. It was horribly disfigured in a fight with a Pikachu that put a curse on them, so badly that it became something different entirely, and crafted its costume after the person it hated most afterwards. Like a voodoo doll, almost, but it also kept their twisted body hidden." Or at least, those were the stories Nani used to hear up on the mountain with the Marowaks. She had no idea how much of it was true or false. Not to mention they never clarified how the story was supposed to end. One way or another, Nani was pretty confident that the story was just something people told each other around campfires. Something like that couldn't have possibly happened. "Honestly, I think we're all compelled to model our costumes after Pikachu because they're generally popular and well-liked by people around them," Nani suggested, turning her costume back around and pulling her hood back up. It wasn't until her head was properly covered that she finally lifted it back up. "Like going trick-or-treating as something people like, so they'll compliment your costume." Stop talking now. "That's how it was when I grew up anyway; there was this very popular Pikachu girl." Nani. Stop. Where are you even going with this? "I'd like to find out what causes us to look like this under the costume though. Something crazy like an ancient curse seems a bit absurd." Please me, I'm begging you. Just stop talking. "Er... the important thing is, I'm more concerned about you if you saw it than I am about me. I'm used to it because it's my face, but I know it can be a shock for others. That's why we wear these in the first place." In order to forcibly shut herself up, Nani took another large bite from her food. One that would take a bit to chew and swallow, giving Keanu ample time to change the subject if he wanted.
  9. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! As much as she wanted to pretend it didn't bother, the sound of an alarm clock going off was always something that irritated Vivian. It wasn't that she wasn't a morning person. It was that it was an awful sound was all. As such, Vivian wasted no time turning off the alarm, and keeping it off as she stretched out, and went about her morning routine. Which - being the type to shower at night - was as simple as changing out of her PJs, at least for stuff she did in the room itself. Despite how important today was, it felt like a nice day to wear something cute and casual. Uniforms were important, but they weren't mandatory and definitely weren't cute, so Vivian would pass. Instead, she opted for a checkered sundress. Cute and casual! The students had been assembled on a sports field of some kind. It was here that students were introduced to their teachers. Mr. John was first, who taught general education and had THE CUTEST LITTLE DOG! As the little guy ran around in the crowd, Vivian couldn't simply not pet him and give him scratches behind his ears and on his belly when he passed by! She wanted a dog too! But alas, having parents with pet allergies made that difficult back home. Maybe if she asked nicely, she could spend lots of time with this dog instead. Next up was Miss Charlotte, who looked like a cowboy from a wild west film. She was a history teacher, and seemed intent on making it interesting. How wonderful! History was always a subject Vivian wanted to learn a bit more about, but with so many places and time periods it was hard to tell where to start. And then there was also Mr. Benton, Miss Malkin, and Ms. Patete, respectively teaching PE, mech combat, and mechanics. Vivian had a good feeling about Mr. Benton's class in particular out of those three. "And there you have it. These will be the teachers that you'll learn from the rest of your time here. Any questions ask them now. Otherwise you're dismissed." "Mr. John!" Vivian blurted out, hand raised high above her head. "Is it okay if I play with your dog?" "Of course you can!" He responded. But a harsh clearing of the throat came from the vice principal. "Ahaha, maybe not..." He put a hand up to his mouth as though trying to hide his next words and stage whispered "Another time." Close enough! Night had come and gone. Sammi spent the whole time studying up of course. Who needed sleep when you ran on the most cutting-edge technology of the time? ...thinking about BOMB's explosive reactor made Sammi feel a bit outdated. But it wasn't like she could do much about it either. Although her roommate was now waking up, Sammi didn't pay her much mind. Just because they shared a room didn't mean they had to chit-chat all day. Sammi had more important things to do. Like changing into that boring tracksuit of a uniform, and heading out to where the students would be assembling. And trying to avoid BOMB along the way. Once there, the students were introduced to their teachers. And if Sammi was being quite honest, none of them stood out to her. The only thing of note was she thought Malkin looked particularly untrustworthy. The students were then told to present any questions they had, and that they were otherwise dismissed. Not having much in the way of questions herself, Sammi opted to split off from the pack. She wanted to get a feel for just how big this field was by exploring it herself, up close.
  10. "I'm Ciel Argus of the Argus family. Ya know, one of the three families big enough and with enough magic knowledge to make this Murder Kill Death game,. Honestly, you'd think someone like you would try to hide the fact they were from that cheat of a family. But whatever." Cheat of a family? This was the first Misaki was hearing of anything like that. The Argus family, however, Misaki had heard of before. They were supposed to be pretty impressive. This girl in particular had effortlessly discarded the tree Misaki had launched. So she was capable of at least that much. Being used to only dueling it out with mages significantly weaker than herself, Misaki had to admit, she was surprised. It would have been much easier to use her family's magic to simply rip Ciel's body apart and call it a day, but alas, that wasn't an option. This wasn't supposed to be a fight to the death, and even if it was, the other mage's own magical circuits would interfere. Against mages, that sort of approach simply wouldn't work. But what was this about the Shirai family being cheats? That accusation was bugging her. There would be time to worry about that later. For now, Misaki had to focus on her opponent. If she could get in near Ciel, then get her hands on some of the girl's blood... yes, that could work. It probably wouldn't be that simple though. She had to be careful against unknown opponents. Rather than another attack on the scale of that tree... yes. New plan. Misaki dispersed the bones surrounding her body, reuniting them with the sharp-toothed skull to form a whole skeleton again. From her pockets, Misaki then procured a knife. Clearly not meant for cutting vegetables. It was just a small cut along the palm of her hand, but with magic like hers, causing blood to rush to and gush out of even a small cut was child's play, as if she'd cut off the entire arm instead. Much of it flowed into the skeleton's hands, hardening and darkening into the form of a battleaxe, while the rest circled around Misaki herself. And then, the attacks resumed. As if it were a puppet being yanked by its strings, the skeleton rushed forward, darting right past the two Servants as it closed in on and swung its axe at Ciel. Misaki, meanwhile, stayed back, sharpening the blood she kept for herself into a handful of spear-like projectiles. She opened fire, lobbing the spears up and over the fight, aiming at the ground just behind Ciel, rather than directly at her. "I don't know what this is about a cheat of a family, but I'm not weak like the rest of them."

So was it Diana Ross that was swept away, or was it her hair during the shoot for the album cover? 6/10 5/10 oh snap he did the full song! Easy 7/10.

    Newbie here

When you post an image's link here, it will automatically be converted to the image itself by magical internet magic. Like that. All I did was paste in the image's link and it just did it on its own. However, I must stress the point that you need to paste the image's link, not the imgur page it is on. https://imgur.com/aS8RwMl If I post that link, it's just a link. Image links generally end with a file extension, like .jpg or .png. I bring this point up because it's not uncommon for new members to say they're having a problem with images and it turns out they weren't posting the image's url at all. If you already knew all this, more power to ya. Happy card-sharing.

groovy. 8/10. awwww yea, gotta love the classics. 8/10 OP's suggestion: An exactly-opposite-of-classic double feature on Ghost and The HU. In a slightly underwhelming moment, the new Ghost album is only two songs. While Kiss the Go-Goat is easily my favorite of the two, this one still walks off with a decent 7/10. So let's talk about The HU instead. As it turns out, the band's debut album "The Gereg" includes all four singles they've released up to now as well as five new songs. Technically, this means my favorite song on the album is Wolf Totem, but in light of this knowledge, I'm amending my past statement to I'll be rating my favorite of the new songs. And that's the title track, The Gereg. 9/10.

6/10, starts off nice and easy but gets a bit less so in the later half. calling it a "song" is a bit of an exaggeration, isn't it? Nice timing; you'd have been on the next post if you showed up a few minutes later. 7/10 OP's suggestion. Of course, less than 24 hours after I talk about Ghost coming up with a new album, the new album is out. Right now, the only songs on youtube from this album seem to be Kiss the Go-Goat and Mary On A Cross. The former retains its 8/10 rating I gave earlier tonight, but I won't be rating another song from the new album "Seven Inches of Satanic Panic" in this thread until I can find more of it on youtube, for easy posting purposes. So in the meanwhile, have ANOTHER NEW SONG BY THE HU THAT WENT OUT LIKE AN HOUR AGO! They've got a whole new album out actually! Yes, to anyone that's been keeping up with The HU, their first album "The Gereg" is finally out. I've really got my work cut out for me; a new Ghost album and a new HU album in the same night? Next post will be my personal favorite from The Gereg after I've sniffed through all of them, unless this ends up being my fave. 8/10! Can't wait to hear what else is on this album.

  17. Eltain. What is it now? We've got a problem. A gnoll problem. Vile creatures. And a whole pack of them, at that! Five, ten... twenty? Yeah. Three groups of five, one group of four, and what seemed to be a leader of the bunch. These guys must have been behind all the trouble around here. Putting them down sounded like a good course of action. Gnolls. You don't say. How incredibly observant you are. I want you to get behind them. If they make it to these carts, we'll need to swap out. Although she could totally use an axe, calling her skilled in a straight fight where she was outnumbered three to one was a bit of an exaggeration. With those kinds of odds, she was better off staying in the back and thinning out the herd with arrow after arrow. That was her role in this group, and she didn't have any intention of fighting against it. As Lindow readied a crossbow of his own and supplied Reinaan with one as well, before firing upon the gnolls, Pyrrha opted for the new bow she'd picked up at the market. This was a great chance to try it out. Besides, she'd tried out using a crossbow once before. Not a big fan. Once Lindow had settled on his target, Pyrrha wasted no time turning her bow, aiming her arrow appropriately to the same group as she hurried to one of the wagons, taking aim from what she considered the best possible angle. Taking out a whole group at a time would give them more angles to breathe from. Probably. Pyrrha was never much of a tactician beyond what she herself was capable of. At the very least, she'd have an easier time where she was dealing with this group, even if the rise in elevation wasn't that much. And so, Pyrrha fired off an arrow, intent on helping either cripple or finish off the beast Lindow had already gotten started on.

this is like the cross between a Magik Mike video and a 2008 ytp. I love it. 6/10. OP's suggestion. Ghost put out a new song, and I'm pretty sure they just announced a whole new album with it! Skip to 0:32 if you don't care about the whole video. I'll post this song again when I can find a version without the quirks of a music video and is just the raw song itself, but that may be a while. For now, let's say 8/10.
  19. Some hours had passed, and the time for the event itself had come. Kyouko would be lying if she said she was particularly looking forward to it. She was only really attending because Jun had asked her, and she kind of owed the girl one for helping with her entertainment dilemma. All the same, she was here, to what seemed to be the surprise of a few students she didn't really recognize. She couldn't really blame them; if she saw herself attending Kickoff without knowing why, she'd be pretty surprised too. Rather less surprising though, was that Kyouko made no real effort to dress up formally. There was no rule saying she had to, after all, so why bother with a stuffy suit or frilly dress that didn't suit her? Well, she'd at least put some effort into her appearance. It wasn't much, but she'd at least combed her hair, She left her usual orange contacts behind too, showing the more natural brown eyes underneath. Most unusual though was something even Jun had probably only seen enough times to count on one hand. Much to her dismay, Kyouko's eyesight was poor at best, and her contacts were more than just for looks. They served a function too, and had her prescription so she could see what she was doing. Without them, she was instead forced to rely on a pair of glasses to see. Thick ones, like what one might expect some bookish nerd to wear. Generally, she only used them when she lost her contacts, and only for long enough to find them. It was the most significant change in her look tonight, but otherwise she looked mostly the same as always. Come to think of it, would the club leader be able to recognize her? Kyouko wasn't bad with faces - in fact, she was rather proud of her ability to recognize faces - but that didn't mean others weren't. Hopefully her height and hair were still good signs of who he was looking for. But with all these people attending, that still left the problem of picking out the right person, didn't it? Maybe coming here was a bad idea after all. No, it was too late to back out now. It had already started. People were going inside. Kyouko regrettably and hesitantly followed suit. She'd never actually checked out this building before. It was nice. There was roof access too. As tempting as it was to just spend the entire time up on the roof, away from others, that kind of felt like cheating. Like telling someone you would cook dinner for them, but it was just a cup of instant noodles they could have just as easily made themselves. No. Kyouko would have to bear it down here with everyone else. And so, like any introvert worth their salt, Kyouko tried to generally avoid the crowd. She made for the bar instead. She'd turned old enough to drink last spring, but never really saw any reason to try alcohol. But she always read that it was a great way to unwind and enjoy a social event. Maybe...? No. Probably not. Maybe. Definitely not. She'd also read plenty of times that different people acted differently when drinking. What would she act like? Would she even remember it? Kyouko was clearly uncertain about trying anything with alcohol in it, and while there were already a couple other girls here - one of whom Kyouko definitely recognized - they already had the barkeep's attention. She didn't particularly feel like intruding on that, especially not when she wasn't even sure if she should try alcohol or not. So, at least for now, she kept herself more to the side seats, trying her best not to eavesdrop and to sort out all the contrary thoughts swimming around in her head right now.
