  1. When I was young...it was Spider-Man for the Playstation. I mean, this menu music ALONE is too iconic! Plus it was pretty much using the character designs and voice cast (I believe) from the 90s animated which I absolutely loved. Nostalgia still holds this game in my heart for these reasons (plus Stan Lee's opening monologue in the first mission...RIP Stan). Now, for nowadays? Well...it's Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales from Insomniac. The way things have progressed to give us these two games to where the web-swinging is more fluid than it has been in any Spider-Man game prior, along with the whole idea of open worldness in these games and even the utilization of different tech and gadgets along with your spider powers, it's just something that makes me happy to see it come to fruition.
  2. Bumping this for you crazies to ask me more questions...have at it!
  3. I've watched this trailer an ungodly amount of time at this point...I'm still hyped for it and am getting giddy over what was revealed. Now, this is just me (and we all know Marvel won't do it), but this film here only needs this teaser trailer and nothing else. I mean, the teaser is something we should be hyped enough with until December. The more trailers pop up, the more they'd end up showing and ruining the surprises and twists in the film. With a movie like this...they need to only do one trailer and give us the suspense on what'll happen. Let us be surprised in December...least that's just my thought process on it. ALSO!! I'd like to think that the end of WandaVision and the end of Loki culminate and basically happen all at the same time in the moment of Strange and Parker ruining the spell. Thinking about it that way, honestly it makes sense.
  4. "Electro...magnetic? So...everything is....Thunder magic? It doesn't sound the same." A loud sigh escaped Trevor's lips, shaking his head. "N-No...not everything is..." he began to massage the bridge of his nose for a moment or two. "That's on me, I suppose...I mention the word 'electromagnetic' so naturally, hearing the word 'electro', one would assume that was the case. However, it's not what you think..." Was he basically giving science facts to people now? It surely seemed like it...then again... "To put it simply...I was taught that both magic and science were one in the same." Trevor began again, trying to attempt to explain once more. "In some cases, the magic isn't something divine or demonic in nature, as some would have it...in my world, it's simply a greater force that can be explained through rational thought and discovery. The only supernatural aspect of it happens to be the fact that we sorcerers use our brainpower to tap in and harness the Magic Power we have...these rings..." He showed them off once again. "These act as a catalyst. Recall how I mentioned the electromagnetic energy from one's nervous system?" he continued. "In science, it's said and proven that we are constantly surrounded by electromagnetic radiation, be it in the form of radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, etc. Well, knowing that, the rings act as a sort of...bridge between one's nervous system and the physical world. Does that make sense?" After that attempt of a much more...in depth explanation, Trevor watched Keres look at her watch...and the next things she said made him really face palm. "A friend told me what to do in these situations...If a man you don't know tries to go somewhere with you tell them you have a very large boyfriend waiting for you and back away slowly. Sorry." "Oh....OH!" Trevor's hand did indeed meet his face as he shook his head. "T-That's not what I was meaning at...oh dear...that's a first time for that. Um, I apologize miss Keres. I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean for that to be what you...oh dear." He took this as a sign to just leave the young woman be. This had become a lot more awkward than he thought, even more to the point that his face was red. "I...perhaps we'll see each other again. Terribly sorry about all that!" he said, bowing a few times before turning and walking off. He could hear the sounds of chains rattling...which meant the Cabanomicon was most likely in a sort of laughing fit (if only it had the mouth to laugh with). "Not...one...word..." he muttered, already walking out, face as red as his clothes.
  5. The Blazing Squire & The Raging Raptor "and Arden has none." "Bingo." Itsuki nodded, his eyes still glued on the Duel...and soon, it's impending finale. Yuliya won...as expected...well, namely because she had something up her sleeve, just like he pretty much guessed. "All Arden had was a big field of monsters and if anything went wrong this turn, she had nothing to fall back on. Well, I suppose she still would've won like that anyway since Yuliya didn't have much defense herself, but that's what a single turn too early will do to you." Itsuki chuckled. "Such wise words coming from our third place finalist." he said, glancing over at the young woman. "But as that being the start of this tournament, it's enough to put anyone in the mood for a Duel...well...I say anyone, but there's always that one exception." Itsuki immediately thought about Cedric before shaking his head. That guy just wasn't all together here if he couldn't enjoy a simple Duel. "And with that, everybody, Yuliya Sekelsky is the winner of our opening duel!" Richard was really excited at this point. It was a Duel that got his blood boiling with excitement (or maybe that was the signs of heat stroke...nah...). Right now he was raring to go, but alas, he had to wait until the appropriate time. Didn't stop him from still being super excited about the start of this tournament. "Aw man...I'm so pumped for this! I can't wait to show them what I can do!" Richard said with the doofiest grin on his face, as he immediately left his seat for a moment...right now called for something he was in desperate need of: a pretzel. Couldn't Duel on an empty stomach...twas unheard of!
  6. "And troublesome one's at that! Troublesome pests!" "Funny, that's the first time I've been called anything like that." Zane smirked, seeing the mechanized psycho now having the icicle lodged in it's lower body. He glanced over at Flurry and gave him a thumbs up. "Nice combo there! Definitely helps me out with my aim for sure!" "So...you've been hiding Organics from me to use for an ambush? How pathetic, Chimera." Zane watched as the mechanized creature's arm seemed to change, once it got out the ice of his lower body...only leaving a chunk in it's body. And what did the arm turn into? Weeeeeeeell... BGM "I-IS THAT A FLAMETHROWER?!?" he exclaimed, his eyes widening quite a bit as he immediately slid backwards. True to his intuition with the arm gun, the gun began to spew fire and soon Zane watched his ice melt as quickly as it came before. What was worse, now this was going to hinder his whole attack plans to an extent. With the flamethrower going right now, that was going to hurt the moisture in the air. Damnit...it HAD to be a type of enemy with fire, didn't it? he thought, slightly groaning. Then again, he noticed a bit of a blur go by and then... "HURRIKEN!" "WHAT?!" "H-Holy Chaos!!!" Zane blinked a bit, just watching Ken doing what he just did. "...what the actual Northern Tundra was that?! I mean...a-are hedgehogs normally THAT strong?!" he asked, a bit slackjawed, though he watched the bot now firing off four missiles in their direction. He began to grit his teeth slightly, as he tried his best to call an icicle to his hand and immediately throwing in the direction of the missile...then again, he hoped there was enough moisture in the air for this to happen. "Fire...yeah, heat and whatnot ain't helping me and my ice powers out...hopefully there's enough moisture..."
  7. Hmmm, Digimon VRMMORPG... I don't see what could possibly go wrong! *Notices the glimpses of the isekai trope rope dangling* ...no possible way at all...yeah, interest.
  8. Oh shit really? Berry Place location is a different area?! YES!!!! Yui you just helped me and my team out.
  9. It's only natural that this happened...after all...
  10. Shrines and Sacrifices “Alright, so, are we preventing the volcano eruption, or are we running away in terror? Or is it both? Neither?” Kitt was enjoying the meal that Olivander prepared...goat...rather than pheasant...odd choice, but who was he to judge. Jones did ask the question and Olivander answered first...usually customary that he did. "As I've more or less stated before, I'm of the opinion that we should leave. I've already blundered it obviously, but Captain Helmsley is ready to take on the work and help the people of Corpus to escape. I spoke with him briefly not long ago. I'm not entirely sure what Flynt and Kitt were up to while I was preparing dinner, but I still stand by my words. We should be leaving. I'm of course open to our other options, whatever they may be." Once his comrade finished, Kitt took the opportunity to speak up, clearing his throat. "If I may...I have a different solution. One that I felt that only I could bring forth..." he said, exhaling slowly. "With assistance of others here on Corpus, along with Flynt, and even the direction on where to build this...I've constructed a temple to Dia." he stood up slowly from the table, looking at each and every one of those present, before stopping on Jones. "As we talked before, there may've been a solution to keeping the volcano from erupting and or even bypassing it all the same, but as you mentioned, those things have been lost to time." Kitt watched Jones nod slowly. "That's what got me thinking somewhat. Dia gifted this island as a refuge and a safe haven for that woman in the stories...she had pity on her." he explained. "And after she was placed on this island, I'm sure she gave thanks and praised Dia for all she did. ...the gods are fickle beings, but I had the thought of dedicating a temple to Dia. We use the temple, make the dedication to her, present an offering onto her and beseech that she has her favor return to the island. Now I'm not saying Dia has turned her back on Corpus...not at all...but between fleeing the island and staying to survive and thrive, perhaps reaching out to the goddess to show her favor towards the people of this island would be just whats needed. I'm planning to dedicate the temple as soon as possible...but I wish to inform you all, if you are serious about surviving on this island, just as those before you did...I'd suggest that you may need to call upon the island's creator in your time of need."
  11. Moments Before the Duel "Team Wilding is making their first appearance today, led by their captain, Action Duelist Honey Froswald! Some of you in the audience may recognize her as the younger sister of Major League Champion Elliot Dritte! Cam she live up!?” “Her opponent is Daichi Raimu from Team Genesis! Not much is known about them, but perhaps we’ll learn some today! Can he measure up to the sister of a champion!?” Daichi looked at himself in the mirror of the locker room, as he just finished changing into his outfit, looking at the hat he'd be wearing. "Win or lose..." he smiled before nodding, putting the hat on. "It's showtime!" The Duel The lights in the arena cut off for a moment, until a series of spotlights started coming on one by one, moving in quite the rhythmic fashion...finally something cut through the hushed tones of the crowds. “Ladies and gentlemen!! If you would please turn your attention this way to the center field and you’ll see our illustrious challenger...miss Honey!” the voice boomed as the spotlights pointed at the Duelist on the field. But all but one suddenly left the Duelist in a swift fashion. “...and who comes to take the stage to meet this challenger? Why...none other than I...” The remaining spotlights converged on one fixed location and suddenly an explosion of purple smoke erupted in where the spotlights stood...and once it settled… “Ladies and gentlemen, the Moonlit Magician has arrived.” Daichi smirked, bowing slightly and facing towards the opponent, the lights immediately coming back on afterwards. “I’m Honey Froswald! I don’t have any special epithet, but I want to give everyone an entertaining experience, all the same!” “3… 2… 1… Duel!” LET THE SHOW BEGIN!!! Action Field - Grand Adventure...he was cool with this. It was something he'd spent some time on before, so he was in his element somewhat. "If you don’t mind, I believe I’ll take the first move.” Daichi drew his five cards and looked at them, nodding slowly. “I shall set the Pendulum Scale, using my Dragonpit and Dragonpulse Magicians!” Soon two magicians appeared at either side of Daichi before rising into the air above him, being surrounded by a pillar of light. “The scales of 1 and 8, meaning monsters Level 2 through 7 are fair game!” Taking another look at his hand, he nodded. “And now, I’ll use this moment to do just that! Using Dragonpit and Dragonpulse...time for the real show to begin!” Daichi watched as now a dowsing pendulum appeared between the two magicians and slowly began to sway back and forth. “Metronomic Pendulum, swing and sway to mesmerize the audience! Give way for the magicians to take the stage! PENDULUM SUMMON!!! Now, put your hands together!!!” Soon one light came from where the Pendulum swayed and in quite the light show and flair, one magician exploded in a bright colorful array of light and descended near Daichi. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the star of my performance: Oafdragon Magician!" Daichi proudly introduced as the magician took a slight bow. "Alas, it's the first turn and I cannot attack. So instead, I’ll set one card face down and relinquish my t-...” he said, simply placing one card face down just as he said, preparing to pass his turn...however, Honey didn’t seem to let him just yet. “Not so fast! I activate the effect of my Ursarctic Micbilis from my hand! By tributing another Level 7 or higher monster from my hand or field during either player’s Main Phases, I can Special Summon it! I tribute Ursarctic Mictanus! I then activate its effect! It allows me to summon another Ursarctic monster from my hand! Come down, Megapolar! When this one is summoned, I can destroy one spell or trap… and I choose your set card!” Ursarctic...that was something he wasn't expecting exactly. “Well well, now that is an impressive start from you!” he said with a smile, immediately flipping his face-down up: Pendulum Area. It did indeed shatter in front of him, but in quite the beautiful display. “I suppose my bait of Pendulum Area worked. Well, if that’s the case...then I shall now relinquish my turn...provided you have no other interruptions. Now go on, let’s see what we can do to entertain the masses!” “Then you’ll love what comes next! I use Megabilis as a tuner, with Polari as the non-Tuner…” She motioned to them as their forms became green rings for Megabilis, and a single black star for Polari, “to summon...Ursarctic Grand Chariot! When it’s summoned, it destroys two cards you control… So I’ll destroy Dragonpit and Dragonpulse!” The massive mech reared the scythe back as Honey hopped onto the mech’s shoulder before shooting forward, swinging the mech through the pendulums set as scales and shattering them, leaving Daichi with just one card in hand and Oafdragon. “Taking out Dragonpulse and Dragonpit...an impressive thing to do as of now...” Daichi nodded, before moving quickly towards an Action Card...however...he didn't get it whatsoever. Honey seemed to beat him to the punch as she was practically launched by Grand Chariot to grab it. “Now, Grand Chariot! Destroy Oafdragon!” As Daichi recovered from missing the grab, he shielded himself with his cape, only for his monster to be destroyed! His life fell to 3400 from the battle damage, as Honey walked back up beside her ace, panting. The crowd cheered for the display it saw, only a bit louder than Daichi earlier. “I’ll set one, then it’s your turn. Let’s see you beat that!” Surprisingly, Daichi was applauding Honey right now, the sounds of him clapping could be heard. “Impressive display...truly! But, we magicians don’t go down as easily...not when we still have so much to display and dazzle our audiences with! I draw!!” he said, drawing his next card. “From my hand, I activate Amazing Pendulum! Seeing as I no longer have any cards in my Pendulum Zone, I can add two Magician Pendulum Monsters with different names from my Extra Deck to my hand. I’m selecting Dragonpulse and Dragonpit!” Quickly removing the two cards from his Extra Deck, Daichi added them to his hand before swiftly placing them on his Duel Disk. “Time for a repeat performance, you two! Dragonpulse and Dragonpit now set my Pendulum Scale! Once more, metronomic pendulum! Swing and sway! Pendulum Summon! From the Extra Deck and from my hand!!” Two lights appeared from the swaying Pendulum as two monsters appeared in a kneeling position. “Oafdragon Magician returns and joining him is Rapid-Fire Magician in Defense Mode!” “In response, I activate the Micpolar in my hand!” She revealed the polar bear card, Mictanus in grave popping out to be moved to banish, “Summoning it in defense! And when I do, it searches for another Megapola!” As the polar bear mech surfed onto the field, Honey’s set card also rose up, shining as it activated. Her LP fell to 3300 as the name Ursarctic Quint Charge became clear. “Then I activate the first effect of Quint Charge! I add Megabilis back from Grave to hand, only to tribute it immediately for Megapolar!” The humanoid polar bear mech from earlier appeared once more, brandishing its hammer! It took aim at Dragonpit Magician, pulling the hammer back for a swing, and…! “Heh, truly trying to silence my performance with that. However, not this time!” Daichi ran off, giving a whistle to Oafdragon and Rapid-Fire to quickly follow him. He then found what he needed...an Action Card just hanging near one of the little ship fins. Running off the side, he held his hand out and immediately Oafdragon Magician caught it, flying him over towards it. In an instant, the ivory magician grabbed the card and added it to his hand. Once they were back on the ship, he immediately played it. “Action Card - Starry Night! This turn, all face-up Spells and Traps cannot be destroyed.” Once he played it, a shimmering set of stars seemed to shoot across where Dragonpulse Magician remained, protecting it from Megapola. “A valiant effort, but I believe that’s as much as you’ll be able to do there...and now, since I activated a Spell...to be accurate, a Normal Spell in the form of an Action Card, Rapid-Fire Magician’s skill activates.” The magician holding two scepters moved slightly for a moment, having various amounts of colored fiery orbs floating around him and the scepters. “Whenever I activate a Normal Spell, with him, I can inflict 400 points of damage to my opponent! Now, do your thing, Rapid-Fire!!” Rapid-Fire Magician nodded and began to wave the scepters in his hands, the fiery orbs dancing around him before being launched towards Honey, colliding and taking the damage out. Honey: 3300 -> 2900 LP “And with that, I shall end my turn!” Daichi declared with a nod. “Ahh, so that’s your strategy. I was wondering, but that’s pretty neat. Guess I have to take that out first!” Honey grinned as she drew for turn, looking over the board. “I Special Summon the Megatanus I drew from my hand, banishing Megabilis from grave for it!” As she placed the card on the disk, a black mech, not unlike Grand Chariot, appeared, though it stood not much taller than Micpolar and brandished a bow. It took aim at Rapid-Fire Magician, pulling the string back… and letting its arrow shoot true, flipping the monster to face-down defense! “When it enters, we’ll turn that burn off for now! On to battle! Megatanus, destroy the set Rapid-Fire Magician!” With a slight grit of his teeth, Daichi watched as Rapid-Fire Magician was attacked and destroyed by Megatanus. Luckily he didn't lose Life Points from that attack, but even still, that was an impressive move. He looked around for a moment, before finding another Action Card nearby. “Bingo!” he said, rushing towards the card. “Next up, Megapolar is going to destroy Oafdragon! Arctic Crusher!” “I don’t think so!” Daichi shouted, playing the Action Card he just picked up. “Action Card - Debris Shield! This prevents the destruction of one monster I control only once!” Soon a small shield of falling debris appeared before Oafdragon Magician and protected him from the incoming attack of Megapola. Or so he thought... “Useless! I activate Action Spell - Eclipse Event! During this battle phase, all action spells have their effects negated! Finish it off, Megapolar!” "W-What?! That's a trick I wasn't expecting!" he exclaimed, basically watching the shield of falling debris immediately vanish from in front of Oafdragon Magician. Daichi slightly gritted his teeth again, before attempting to outrun the incoming attack. Unfortunately, this put him at a huge disadvantage...now that he couldn't use any Action Cards during the Battle Phase. The attack struck true and it blew Daichi back quite a bit in the process. “Now, finish it off, Micpolar, Grand Chariot!” The two mechs mobilized at her command, Honey riding the synchro straight toward Daichi! The polar bear rammed him, then Grand Chariot’s scythe grazed him, knocking him down, and ending the duel. The area filled with the sound of clapping, and a bit of cheers. Nothing like a fully packed stadium, but enough to give Honey a little bit of warmth. As Daichi’s LP fell to 0, the area had lights appear around Honey as she rode Grand Chariot, showcasing her as the winner. The screens that showed their duel showcased such as well, while she stepped down to the ground, the duel fading away. Walking over to Daichi, she extended her hand and smiled softly. “Sorry if that was a bit… brutal. I actually thought you were really entertaining, good game!” The ivory magician simply was dusting himself off before extending his hand in response, a wide smile on his face. "Alas, my first Duel was one setting in loss...but, against someone like you, who was able to entertain and showcase to the audience in such a manner, I happily accept it. A truly entertaining game, miss Honey." Daichi smiled before holding her hand up high, practically doing a curtain call bow with her. "Ladies and gentlemen! Let's hear it for your victor in this Duel: Honey Froswald!" To this the audience began to cheer about this and once it was time for Daichi to take his leave, he exited the Duel field and made it to the locker room in order to change...taking the hat off, he simply looked at it. The smile on his face showed he had a fun time, to show that he enjoyed such an amazing Action Duel...but what laid underneath that smile? Was it...a bit of frustration? Sadness? No one but Daichi would know the answer to this.
  12. Emerald Endurance Saga File 1 - Bring it On!
  13. ...I have been tasked with something new by @yui and by Arceus it shall happen. An Emerald Nuzlocke race (sort of). A new age in the Chaos Files shall be happening soon...time to either die a terrible trainer or rise and be a Master!

    1. yui

      yui

Feel like I should clarify a bit. This isn't a speed race, since that would be hard to schedule and without scheduling the contest would be horribly biased in my favor. It's more of an endurance race.

We'll both be contributing to the Chaos Files blog with our respective randomized versions of Pokémon Emerald, and whoever can get the furthest in the game without getting a game over wins. To keep things spicy, both of our roms were randomized separately, meaning we have different starters, wild encounters, etc.

I also provided Sonic with a full changelog of what the randomizer did in this case, so please look forward to that in his first post in this fun little contest.

  14. "Hey, uh, Ken right? This question's probably not gonna make any sense, I mean I don't even know all that much about this stuff yet, so tell me if you have no idea what I'm talking about. But you wouldn't happen to have something... chaos related on you? Or like, chaos adjacent maybe. 'Cuz, wow, either this thing's more messed up than I thought or you're just swimming in whatever this chaos stuff is." "Yeah no lie though...that beeping is kinda getting annoying..." Zane commented, eyeing the device in Flurry's hands. "This was something my master gave me before I also fell into one of those portals. I was never the best student, but if I remember correctly, this is a Chaos Emerald. It's said that these things contain crazy power...but I don't feel anything when I hold it. I just don't have a knack for Chaos I guess. And those inky creatures...they're a being called Mephiles the Dark. I don't really know who he is, but my Master had beef with him. They were fighting before I was forced to go." The more Zane looked at this..."Chaos Emerald", the more he could've sworn he'd seen something like this before...maybe if it was a different color perhaps, but he figured he'd seen something like this before back home. Then again, maybe he was just a little loopy from the sudden teleporting here? However, he also tilted his head slightly, thinking about something else: the word "Chaos". Just like that little trinket Ken held, he felt like he heard that specific word before... I think my dad mentioned it before...then again, might've been when I was zoning out of the lesson... Zane thought, not for sure where he heard it from. Nevertheless, there was still the last part of that sentence that Ken spoke... Mephiles the Dark? So that's what those things were called? It sounded too edgy to be real, but the look in Ken's eyes practically confirmed it was real. "I know you guys don't know me...but my master chose you two for a reason...so will you two help me?" "First off...no need for the kneeling...I'm not all about that." Zane quickly said, shaking his head as Ken did this. "Second, I'll help you out. I may be in over my head with something like this, but if someone needs help, I may as well do what I can to do my part, ya know?" CRASH!!!!! BGM "HAHAHAHA! Your parts are as good as mine, Chimera!" The arctic wolf looked at the robotic entity that had just crashed through into view of him and the others...annnnnnnd of course, another...much more menacing looking machine that was gloating as it approached what he could only assume was called "Chimera". Was this a robot battle going on? Well, whatever was going on...the one that had just landed on the ground in their eyesight seemed to be on the back-foot. "This day just gets weirder and weirder." Zane muttered, before shaking his head slightly. The air around him got colder as he immediately decided now was a good a chance as any to both show Ken what he could do...as well as help this "Chimera" bot. Within that moment, he rushed forward, making a mad dash between Chimera and the menacing machine...the ground in front of him becoming icy as his speed began to increase until he got in between the two. "Hey, hope you don't mind me giving your dance partner a bit of a virus." Zane smirked, shifting his stance before slamming his hands on the ground and proceeding to coat the ground in front of him and the menacing machine with thick ice. "And by a virus...I mean a very strong cold!" he chuckled, before tossing two icicles at the machine's feet.
  15. Lemme give you a list (since I KNOW I've watched em all multiple times): The Fifth Element Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie Rush Hour Trilogy Batman Forever (It's my guilty pleasure movie...I know it's bad...it's my guilty pleasure for this reason!!) Guardians of the Galaxy Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider-Man: Far From Home Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
  16. Solomon's Temple “There’s an idea. Are you thinking of an improved shelter for this altar or a brand new structure? I suppose it doesn’t really matter.” It honestly seemed like Flynt had been just waiting for him to say this...perhaps he was expecting and hoping he would. Whatever the case may be, Kitt watched as his former mentor produced a hammer from his robes. The Watchdog only smiled, reaching in his bag and produced his own tools for this job. It would be something he could do for the moment...something only he could do. “I still always have mine on me. And we can probably get a few other able-bodied folks to help us out as well. It’s a good thing Olive said he would prepare dinner. We should get to work immediately if we want to have a dedication ceremony before the day rolls into tomorrow." "Indeed...especially if we're making a new structure." Kitt nodded looking at the small altar. "While this seems to have done quite a lot for the people here on Corpus, I wish for Dia to have a temple all her own." With nothing more than a small utterance to Taros to give him and his hands, along with the bodies and hands of those would would help him, strength...the Watchdog of Taros proceeded to do his best to make a temple to Dia. A location and plot of land that was barren in which saw no use was selected and with that, the foundation and preparations for this temple would be made. It would take them quite the number of hours...but at the same time, without a Watchdog of Taros, this temple might've actually taken longer than originally planned to make. As night fell, the temple was practically done...and all that was left was the dedication ceremony...but first thing was first... "...I think...we need to go check on Olivander...and see if he's finished dinner." Kitt huffed, his stomach already growling at this point. "After we're done...perhaps we can gather the town and prepare the dedication ceremony to this new temple."
  17. "My name is Keres and I come from a different world than this. You do, too." "Indeedly so." Trevor nodded firmly, already confirming this at this point. Honestly there was an uncomfortable silence between them before she finally spoke and introduced herself. Then again, what Trevor was glancing at the whole time until conversation was finally struck...was that heavy book she carried. The arm shake truly indicated that she was holding that thing for a while...way longer than one normally would. It was a large, older looking book...if he had to guess...it might've been as old as the Cabanomicon...maybe even older! "Was summoned here by our esteemed lover of top-hats to Prana along with some others." he explained, shifting his stance slightly. "You know magic. It's different than mine. Different from hers. All of the magic is different. But it all works here. ...Hello." He nodded slightly, only holding up a finger before smiling. "Ah yes, all magic is different...but the core elements and methods of said magic remains the same. Wouldn't you agree, Keres?" Trevor flashed the three rings on his left hand for a moment, before continuing. "Allow me to explain...well, at least attempt to explain. Where I originate from, my master explained the way magic works using somewhat of the basics of science. These rings, for example, allow the wearers to project the electromagnetic energy of their nervous system and give them physical form..." he paused, allowing the grimoire of his flip through it's pages and display in pictures exactly what Trevor was explaining. "With that in mind, a sorcerer's electromagnetic energy from one's self mixing with the electromagnetic energy around in an environment produce the desired product of magic." Trevor nodded slowly, smirking. "It's why I was taught specifically...that a sorcerer is absolutely nothing without his rings. But I figure that perhaps the way magic was explained and taught to you was quite different...and I'd honestly be interested to hear it. Perhaps we can divulge magical explanations on our way out of here? And perhaps I could even learn what that book you hold is."
  18. So remember how I told you on Discord I'd toss my interest when I'm not at work...yeah I lied... Here's my interest. And to a character that won't be Souta...he shall remain to only Caster Watson...
  19. The tap seemed to send Risa into a mile high jump annnnnd gave out a shriek...okay, that seemed to track...especially for him...though it was usually AFTER they saw his spider Quirk. Guess things were different this go 'round, he figured. "O'Hara-sama?!? I... I... A part- Um, O'Hara-sama, I don't think you- I don't think this is- Can you give me a few minutes?" Benjamin stood there, blinking a bit as he watched Risa practically sprint away with her face flushed red. Blinking a few more times, he glanced at the young lady that she was talking to: Setsu. "...was it something I said? Or did I legit scare her there? If it's the latter, I can totally understand. Apparently being the 'spiders guy' does that..." he asked, glancing and noticing Risa now jumping up and down at the edge of the stadium. "Oh no. She does that from time to time." Setsu seemed to say, leaning in towards him while motioning and gesturing towards Risa. "Yeah she's weird, but she honestly means well." "I mean, most of the best people are weird and eccentric." he gave a slight chuckle, nervously rubbing the back of his head. The little bit of a conversation between him and Setsu seemed to go on for a while...and it was here he found out a few things. One of which that shocked him...and it made sense on why Orikami said just moments ago... "Not that such a feat would be unexpected for the second daughter of the late Kawashima Yozo, the original bearer of the title Glory, and once the headmaster of this very school.” Normally, anyone else would've been truly floored and deterred about this revelation on who Risa Kawashima was...but strangely enough...Benjamin elicited no such response. He only nodded slightly, before glancing back towards Risa, who at this point was making her way back towards him. Things started to make sense on why she was being so hard on herself like this...it struck another chord with him, not so much as the last time, but he could tell what she was going through just about. "Well...thanks Setsu, was it? [Alright], maybe we can chat again some other time." Benjamin nodded at Setsu, before now turning his attention towards Risa, who proceeded to take a deep breath before speaking. "O'Hara-sama, I dunno why I'm third place they say it's cause I did something heroic with Sasaki-sama but I don't think I am and I don't know what to do but if you really wanna partner with me I'll do it but I completely understand if-" She then took a breath...uh-oh...the way she was looking...oh boy, this would be sentence overload for sure... "-you wanna partner with someone else it'd be silly to throw your lot in with a Support student who doesn't know what she's doing but if you do I'll do my best and try nottobetoomuchofaburdenokay?" Benjamin looked at Risa, who now was simply staring at him nervously. The young man only gave a slight, soft smile and gave her a thumbs up. "I'll decide if what I choose is a silly idea or not. Besides, those from my class probably wouldn't mesh well with my Quirk...and you probably know that for a fact being in the Support Class. That's one of the reasons I picked you, Risa." he said, crossing his arms slightly. "I may have a versatile Quirk, but on my own and without proper planning or a means of physical offense...I'm going to have a rough time...but with your Quirk, I think we could properly turn the tide of things." Benjamin then proceeded to toss his hands behind his head and give another smile. "And besides...why wouldn't I want to help my newest friend out?" What made him say all this? Could it be he was trying his hardest to show Risa that she could become a Hero, regardless of what she thought? Maybe...maybe it was also to show that there were those who saw her potential...he couldn't be certain for sure... "... Also what were the rules of the next round? I didn't hear any of them at all." "Basically it's a game of chicken." Benjamin began to explain. "We're gonna have our scores totaled together and we're gonna be wearing a target...well one of us is. The other is carrying the one with the target. Our points are forfeited to the other team if the target is touched by any body part of another team member...annnnnnnnd unfortunately..." he paused, showing the spiders now walking around his palm. "...these don't count as a 'body part' for me...so that [ain't] gonna help much. But either way, we aren't eliminated if we lose our points...we basically gotta reclaim the points...annnnnnd it lasts for ten minutes annnnnd the only way we're eliminated is if the rider touches the ground."
  20. ”If you think that duel was any less exciting just because it only lasted a single turn, then you have such a distaste for ambition that it’s going to make me weep.” Ah...the theater buff and the Entertainment Action Duelist were going to be starting their disagreements early today...however, Daichi paid no mind to this, despite Sai getting to eye level with him and staring a hole into his soul. He knew what he was talking...but at the same time, so did Daichi. They had differing opinions and that was that. "To them, it isn't just a show or a game, it's how they earn their living. Like most sports, it's not a stable career, if they're smart, they know that... Maybe she didn't realize it at first, or she didn't expect to make it big, we can speculate all we want, but yeah, she's changed. I think anyone in her shoes would." And then the sleeper awoke to provide her insight, though it seemed to only be bolstering Sai's argument to him. Did it hurt that it seemed like he was getting ganged up on due to the fact of his specific opinions about this particular style and topic? Yes...yes it did. But Daichi still wore a smile. Thankfully, the ever present coach that was Vega came to assist. "Boys, boys, calm doooown. There's merit to both. You're right that trying to win is absolutely in the best interest of a competitive player... But making a show is what earns you fans and sponsors, more often than not. Primrose used to play a lot flashier, as I'm sure our little superfan brought up. It's only natural that he's a bit concerned. After all, she even changed her ace not long after entering the majors..." "Thank you coach. I knew at least you would understand the plight I've brought up." Daichi flashed a toothy grin, looking past Sai. "Besides...the way I see it, you can treat this as a way to earn your living while still dazzling the audience with a fantastic Action Duel!" That's about the time Evelyn came waltzing in...and with a peace offering to her tardiness...ahhh, what couldn't be solved by the wonderful and appealing scent of fresh donuts? In one fell swoop of a movement, he moved past Sai and immediately pulled a donut from the box without even looking...and jackpot: a strawberry iced donut with rainbow sprinkles on it. A donut truly befitting the group's Pendulum Magician. "Eve, yet again you come through with getting me just the right one." Daichi smiled, savoring the smell of the donut before taking a quick bite out of it. He then was brought back up to the idea of "Team Genesis". "On the topic of Team Genesis...well, I suppose it could work like that...still partial to Gestalt, but alas, if the rest of the crew is on board with it...then you'll have the magician's agreeance on it too." he said, taking another bite out of the donut, before noticing Rosalia, they're fearless team captain, offering a brief and apologetic glance his direction. After polishing off the donut and wiping his face of the crumbs, he offered her a glance back...oddly enough, it wasn't one of disdain or anything like that...it just was a joyful expression he had, apparently thinking it as simply water under the bridge. Now to address the elephant in the room (...and no, not Sai). "What do we know about the team we're up against? Like, any specifics? Also...is there any word on anyone possibly sponsoring us for this first official match?"
