  1. I'll congratulate my servant with a job well done. Next I'll enter and lock the door behind me. I'll explore each floor before looking out the balcony, remarking that this place makes for a good lookout post.
  2. "Well, happy to help then, I guess," Alois remarked as the princess told him the news was enlightening. Without paying much mind to the other woman in the room, Alois began to make his way out of the room and down the staircase. Looking back to the princess he said, "well, lucky for me I found another letter myself. Right over there," the boy pointed towards the wardrobe. "So, I guess we got a bit of a riddle to solve here then." Making his way downstairs the boy looked to see the other princess had already been there. Pulling a chair up, opposite the side of her, saying, "there sure are a lot of weird mysteries that need solving in Histia." Tsetseg looked around her surroundings, now that they were lit up and she could see properly. Letting out an obligatory, "oooh," the girl looked to see that the door she had slammed into was not one the kind that she was good with. Frowning a bit at the sight of the locked door, wondering how to get through it, the girl then looked at the wooden panel she had pressed not a few moments earlier. Examining it, the girl saw that there was some kind of pattern in it, but still couldn't make much sense of it. So, without much to do down here herself, the girl made her way up the ladder. Once at the top, she saw a familiar face of the armored big man. Giving him a bright smile she said, "hi hi there, Gunther. Guess what, guess what! We found a door down there, and it's all stuck and stuff. It's a bit sad but - oh, yeah, yeah. I also found this panel thing, and someone really liked to draw triangles in it. But, whoever was drawing them is really bad at drawing triangles. I think they should practice more." The girl nodded to herself.
  3. Getting off from the wall, I'll look to my servant and say, "those suit you." Next I'll confirm with my servant that we know neither the perp nor their motive, as far as what they're distracting the police from is, and figure that the best thing to do now is just watch the news and wait for an update. After that, I'll apologize for having us go in circles and go back to the pagoda in old town. Once there, I'll ask them if it is indeed locked, or if there's an entrance of window higher up on the building we can get into from. I'll also look around to see if there's anyone around currently.
  4. I'll go silently brood against a wall away from the cops, like all people doing a telepathic anime stakeout do. I'll ask my servant if they think it was caused by another mage. Also to ask how the cop's investigation seems to be going.
  5. As was expected, Stella's idea of what to do next didn't really fit with either of the girls. Not that she was entirely upset that neither of them wanted to go get something to eat now, Stella herself wasn't particularly hungry either. However, she was glad to see that Vivian could come up with something that seemed fun for Kelsey - something probably obvious to Stella in retrospect. Though, as Kelsey had mentioned their wrist watches, Stella froze up for a bit as she thought about sparring in mechs with one another. This slight moment of anxiety was only made worse, however, as Kelsey's arm seemed to freeze up. Almost instinctively, Stella began to apologize but kept herself from doing so. Instead, she looked over to Kelsey with concern, but meekly said, "uh, yeah. The field sounds good. I'm sure the watches work that far...yeah," she agreed with Vivian. However, still bothered by Kelsey's arm's lock up, she added, "we can also uh, stop by a mechanics...area...workshop or something first..." Though she didn't have any tools on her, the girl was confident enough that if she had them she would be able to figure out what was wrong with and fix Kelsey's arm. It was, after all, the least she could do for the girl.
  6. Nine was still trying to catch his breath, more of a futile effort than anything else as that continued to be slowly robbed away from him. All the same, as he was still in a frenzy after being struck by the lightning, the disciple seemed to come back to his senses. At least as much as he could with his general disposition. As such, he seemed to notice that Gwen was focusing herself, causing Nine to grimace as the man went to go strike at her. Knowing that she was far less equipped to fight someone at close range than he was, she also didn't even seem to notice that she was being attacked, meaning that if Raphael closed the distance...well, it was not something he wanted to think about. Knowing he needed to intercept him before that happened, Nine took a deep breath before starting to run after the Banette. There was no way he could actually catch up with the man, both because his legs were starting to truly feel the burn as well as that Raphael was just faster than him, and as such he did his best to strike at him from a range. Sending out a dark pulse at the man's side, the Banette stopped himself, extending a claw out to rip through his dark pulse. Nine cursed a bit at the ease with which he continued to pierce through his attacks, but didn't stop there. As Raphael went to continue his charge, he soon bounded upward in order to avoid Nine sending a wave of flame at him. Turning around, to face him, the Disciple sent out a shadow ball towards him. "You really can't get enough of me can you?" Nine smirked a bit at the man, though his voice still lacked any degree of jovialness as he joked, "what can I say?" Firing a dark pulse at the shadow ball, Nine hopped to the side opposite of where he had hit the ball, parrying it and avoiding it. "We're two peas in a pod." The disciple shook his head. "You're far too weak." Extending a claw out, he leaped towards Nine, going to slash at him yet again. Nine was in no position to dodge, nor was he really in a position to take hits. He wasn't in much of a position to do anything other than keep the Banette distracted. So, he took solace in at least being able to do that. However, without much energy to move and definitely not the speed to avoid it, Nine simply tried to parry the attack to help minimize the damage from it. "And you really need to get a new insult." As he jeered at the man, Nine sent yet another flamethrower at the arm with the claw, attempting to help push it back any bit he could. Marie nodded at Zapdos as she mentioned Randy being nuts. That being said, she couldn't help but agree with the sentiment that they were too weak to stop the Lucario now, and Marie didn't know how she would ever get that strong. Regardless, even if she had to go through all of it again, she didn't want to simply sit by and watch people die in front of her without her being able to do anything about it. Her thoughts on the matter were soon interrupted as she watched what happened next between Keanu and Zapdos. Watching the legend hand off the stone, the girl marveled in awe as he evolved right before their eyes. The girl let out a, "whoa," as she looked at Keanu's new form, having only one thought on her mind that she soon blurted out. "You're tan." Trying to sort her thoughts on this, the girl then looked over to see that the other legend was now starting to wake up. Marie felt awkward just standing over the woman without anything to give her or help her with, but still did so anyway. "Are you feeling better now?"
  7. Kiyoko nodded as Raijin made his statement on the matter, and listened to what it was that they were told to do before getting ready to ship out to the city of Hearthome. Once they had arrived and stepped out, Kiyoko took stock of her surroundings. The girl was not in anyway familiar with how a city should look. The only one that she could remember was the one she had seen not a day earlier on her way to the prison. As such, her limited sample size of one was being heavily contrasted with the city she was looking at now. Even then, she could tell it lacked the same kind of vibrancy or life of the city prior, as well as seeming to be just in general more run down. If anything, the city she was in now reminded her of her old orphanage. Which she could only think there was far more villainy here then anywhere else. Even still though, the girl deferred to the judgement of the two people who seemed to be locals here before forming any plan of action as to where to go first. After she heard both Natsumi and Octavia give their peace, the girl stated, "then let us keep together for the time being." Looking to Octavia, the girl kept her usual blunt expression, though also seemed oddly excited as she said, "as you seem to know the lay of the land, you can lead us to this store place first."
  8. "Oh, well, thanks for the warning officer. Stay safe yourself." I will back away from the officer. I will ask my servant if they think it was caused by something flammable, and also what else they see inside the scene
  9. Getting excited as the others of her team had come to aid her, the girl reached down for her own pokeball as the thug had seemed ready to fight them as well. Seeing that the enemy was a fire type pokemon, Jacklyn had figured that sending out another fire type probably wasn't the way to go. After all, Rus only ever used ember, and so Jacklyn didn't want think it would work out well. As such, pulling out her other pokeball the girl shouted, "alright, let's do it Cherry!" Throwing her pokeball, the girl sent out the bunneary, the latter of which seemed to pumped and ready to fight once again. Looking at it, though, the Buneary suddenly came to term with two things. One, it was yet another bird she had to fight today. Two, it was far more frightening than the birds she had taken on just a few hours ago. Startled by its stern look, the Buneary took a step back and looked to Jacklyn with a look of concern on its face. "Bu?" "Don't worry Cherry." The girl gave a thumbs up to her buneary, "there's no way we'll let a bird like that beat us. We got this! Especially if we all work as...a team..." The girl trailed off as she saw Belle fail to catch her pokeball yet again. The girl mumbled, "we'll work on your form later." Turning her attention back to her own pokemon, the girl said, "alright Cherry let's go! Use Pound!" With a nod, the Buneary began to charge forward, only for the Fletchinder to begin moving flapping its wings and prepare to strike. At its trainers orders, the Fletchinder soon zoomed forward with a Quick Attack towards Cherry.
  10. I'll tell my servant to scout ahead to see if they can see anything interesting about the scene. I'll look to the officer and say, "oh sorry officer, it's just- wait, a second one?"
  11. Make a note to my servant that we'll be back to check out the place later. Go to harbor district to go explore it. Walk over to police scene if one such thing has formed.
  12. With the march continuing, Leon looked back to hear Alexis talk about setting some kind of music for their travels. As both Yue and Layne made their comments on what she should do, Leon thought about it for a moment. The boy figured that if there was any tune Alexis was good with, it would be a more upbeat one and it would definitely be better after their previous night. And so, after a bit he said, "hmmm, how about something that Quinn used to play? I think it was Litany of Five Springs?" Quinn, as Alexis was aware, was a bard that often hung around the city square of Faeus. He was rather well known with the locals and though he was certainly proficient in music was often criticized for knowing of all of three songs that he would cycle through for the majority of the day. The titles of his songs didn't make much sense either. Edda had been keeping to herself mostly, keeping her head low and looking at the ground. After the events of last night, she wasn't exactly keen on talking to anyone, and with her destination getting closer and closer, she couldn't also help but feel anxious. As such, brooding in her own thoughts, Edda took a moment to realize that she was being spoken to. Though she heard Ada's words, she didn't realize they were for her at first. However, upon not hearing an answer from anyone else, the girl looked around and noticed that Ada was indeed looking right at her. The girl simply let out an, "um, uh," before glancing away from the girl. "Yeah, it's uh, certainly alright out...right now. Better than uh, other days. Yeah."
  13. Explosions are bad. Alright, let's buy some candy. After that I'll go explore more of the buildings around the old town.
  14. Might as well kick this off and see how it works. >Going to go explore the Old Town.
  15. Ryia didn't do much but just sit there as the chosens of fire and thunder moved in to kill the warg. While she was relieved that it wouldn't give them any more trouble, Ryia as well couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilty as she saw Reinaan get bit by the creature. Though she knew that it was due to her own inability to continue fighting that lead to her being unable to charge it in his place, the girl didn't have much time to lament on her own shortcomings as Lindow had come over to her. She weakly looked up to the man, as his dispassionate gaze fell down on her, the girl not really sure what to make of all of it. She, in fact, had trouble making out what it was he was saying as well as reading him any deeper as she was struggling keeping her eyes open at all. Soon enough, though, her eyes became more alert as she suddenly felt a warmth wash over her body. The girl winced as she felt a stinging sensation start to radiate through her arm. It was certainly an improvement from the numbness that was there not moments before, though her arm certainly wasn't thanking the man for it at the moment. Her ragged breathing steadied a bit and the girl managed to keep her balance better, albeit falling into more of a sitting posture with the fight done, as she looked to the others. Discussing with what needed to be nodded, Ryia nodded at Pyrrha's statement. "Well, this is where we needed to get to but um," with the fight having been finished Ryia was able to examine the area around them more clearly now. They were indeed at the farm they needed to get to, only there hadn't been any signs of life aside from them and the gnolls here. While her first guess as to what was going on here was the most obvious one, being the gnolls, it was weird to her that the most recent conflict was the only one with any signs of having happened here. Add to that, the gnoll was looking for food, so if they had raided here then they wouldn't be looking for food in a place they had already raided clean. Looking around, the girl managed to notice one thing that stuck out to her among all others, though. Blood on the ground. While not uncommon given the most recent struggle, these ones seemed to be moving in almost a trial outside of the farm. Lifting her good arm and pointing to it, a clear look of concern on her face the girl struggle to move to her feet saying, "we- we should probably keep looking."
  16. Sure I'll join in on this. Suppose a particular servant to go with would be Assassin, might as well work with smoky the now ninja for a second time.
  17. As Tsetseg had looked down the hole, she quickly made way for Shiro as he passed by her. After that, the girl made her own way down the ladder beginning to look around in awe. There was one thing that was made very apparent to the young huntresses eyes as she began to follow after the protean before her. It was dark in here. Putting her hand to the wall, the girl began to feel around it in order to help guide her path, until she had to press against the wall in order to avoid the man as he began making his way back. Curious herself, the Tsetseg began to make her way further down the tunnel, until she felt her hand press against something. It had felt as though her hand had hit a wooden panel, different from the rest of the wall. Pressing her fingers against it, the girl felt the wood sink further in with a clicking noise, briefly prompting her to jump away from it in shock. Looking each way, the girl seemed alert and ready for something to drop on her yet again, but such thing never happened. Still wary, the girl continued forward until she rammed into the same road block that Shiro had. Knocking into the wall, the girl was mete with yet another wooden road block, though this time it was actually a door. Well, she thought it was a door. It was a wooden wall with something she could pull on to, presumably, open it. However good Tsetseg was with door, though, she was not good enough to open a locked one through she force of will. So, scurrying back behind Shiro, the girl called back up, "hey, hey guys! Heeeyyy! There's a door down here! Like, a closed one, not moving and stuff!" Alois was quiet as he sifted his way through the letters. His face seemed more concerned the more he read, and once he finished, the boy couldn't help but just let out a sigh. The boy was realizing why the two things he had thought of earlier, the boy and Erimax, seemed to be related. More than that, though, Alois couldn't help but think on something. It was clear here that the outside was dangerous, and fittingly enough more so when dealing with Galtean nobles. Of course, Alois had already known this. If there was anything his short time had made readily abundant to him, it was this single fact. As such, beyond the initial shock of what he read, the boy couldn't help but feel his anger begin to rise even more. Once Cat had come up, though, he calmed as the princess had stepped in and asked about what was going on. Grabbing the rations that she offered, the boy simply waved the papers at the princess saying, "not much. Just a little history I guess." The boy kept the papers presented to the princess, though if she didn't feel like reading them he would simply go put them back where he found it. "So, how're things on your end? Find any more suspicious letters or incriminating evidence?"
  18. While Nine's attack had managed to strike true, the Houndoom couldn't do much to stop the rampaging berserker that was Raphael as he came to attack him. With pain radiating across his face as the claws raked into him, Nine stumbled back as the disciple's attention seemed to be taken up by something else. Though his body was, more or less, still intact from the claws striking him, the pain and exhaustion that he was feeling was proof enough the attack still landed. As the man then went to rain shadow balls at them, though mostly Lok, Nine went to parry the attack away from him. Sending a dark pulse at the shadow ball to deflect it, Nine managed to side step the attack before letting loose a stream of flames into the banette's back. Raphael's attention was turned back to Nine and the mad ghost simply charged through the flames, going for yet another shadow claw against him. Seeing the claws come at him, Nine stepped to the side the claws were moving in, firing off yet another dark pulse to deflect the arm away and avoid the attack. However, the disciple's reflexes were still in another league as he raised his arm to attack with yet another shadow claw with his other arm. Not being able to avoid the attack from where he was, Nine then charged his body with darkness as he quickly looked for a way to minimize as much damage as possible. Stepping towards Raphael, Nine used his foul play attack to punch the disciple, then getting slammed by the arm instead of the claws. Being knocked away, Nine stumbled on his feet, doing his best to stay at the ready despite clearly being pushed to his limit. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, though, as despite not being next to him anymore, Raphael was still furiously and madly swinging his claws around.
  19. Jacklyn folded her arms and leaned back with a pout on her face as Belle made her suggestion. It wasn't unexpected, though Jacklyn still couldn't help but get annoyed by the girls generally tired and lazy attitude. Naturally, she perked back up again as Ivan had made his own suggestion, and happily nodded along with it. "That's the spirit Ivan! A good work and training ethic leads to an even longer and more fulfilling adventure! So," standing up and beginning to walk from the place the girl shouted, "let's find a hotel!" As Jacklyn began to lead the group through the streets, the girl's attention was eventually caught by a curious sight. Seeing a small, frigthened boy running from what Jacklyn could only imagine was a thug, the girl felt something well up in her. Looking to the group with clear excitement on her face, she pointed to the alley saying, "alright gang, we have our next goal in front of us. Onward!" Jacklyn wasn't a particularly heroic person and neither the potential injustice before her nor the glory to be gained by stopping it was what spurned her on to do so. Rather, most famous adventurers were steeped in heroism, and thus stopping such injustice was only par for the course. This excitement was all the more apparent as she bounded into the alleyway after the man with the strange gang jacket shouting, "halt villain!" The girl giggled to herself after saying this, clearly thrilled to have been able to say it at all. The thug looked around before turning. "What, you talking to me?" Folding her arms, Jacklyn frowned at him and says, "well yeah. You're the only villain around here." "Hey you don't even know nothing bout me, why don't you buzz off, don't need another brat causing me trouble." "I don't need to know anything about you to know when someone's doing something they shouldn't be." Looking at the thug, the girl stood her ground, looking forward as she expected the rest of her team to roll in and help her take care of this thug. Like a real adventuring party.
  20. Stella continued to awkwardly shuffle around Kelsey as the stack the girl was carrying seemed to be more precarious than anything else. Trying to move with the swaying of the supplies, just in case anything fell, Stella still left the job to her friend. After buying everything and getting them packed away in bags, though, Stella still didn't want to shoulder the burden on Kelsey yet again. Taking some of the bags in hand, she exited the store and took a deep breath of fresh air as they got out. Stella had felt revitalized, being able to share all of the wonders of paper to others, as well as learn more about paper in other worlds. However, there was still daylight and while Stella was fine to just go back to her room, the awkwardness of her dragging her friends to a school supply store on the day before school was setting in once again. The problem remained, though, that Stella didn't have much of an idea of what to do to hang out. There was this and...Turning to the rest of her friends she said, "so, uh, anything else you want to do. On our day off and all...food?"
  21. I have work and other places to post today, but I figured I'd just leave this here in the mean time for a placeholder. WIP
  22. As the legend in the tree had stated, Marie had managed to stop Lucario. It wasn't as though she had driven him off, nor did she provide any bit of a challenge for the man. However, she had stoop up to him and still managed to win. She knew this, and having a legend affirm this, the girl couldn't help but shake a bit in excitement and joy. This was stopped, both by the soreness in her body reminding her of how wrong it was to consider it a victory and the legend telling them to go check out the other downed one. Snapping back to attention, Marie just stammered out an, "oh...right." Making her way over, the girl began to walk over to where the other legend was. Of course, this was less a walk and more a hobble as Marie's body still wasn't entirely cooperating with her. Eventually, though, the girl had gotten to the legend and bent down. Tapping the unconscious legend's face with her fingers, Marie simply asked, "um, hello?" Unfortunately the legend seemed to be entirely out of it, though Marie could tell that the woman was still breathing nor did it look she was dying. Looking back to the woman in the tree Marie called back, "she's still alive. I don't have any medicine or anything on me, though." The legend stuck in the tree began sit back up, wincing in the pain as she did so. "Ah, well, that's good to hear...sorta." With the fight being done and her assured her victory, Marie began to look between the two legends, now remembering there was something strangely familiar about them. "So um. You two are legends, right?" "Yup, and as you can see we live up to that title oh so spectacularly." Marie gave a nod to the legend. She had thought they must have been something else if they had managed to fight the godslayer without holding back and were still as alive as they were now. However, she wanted to make sure of something still and asked, "do you know Moltres?" "She's our sister. We came here, well, to go grab her." Marie's eyes lit up as she suddenly seemed re-energized by the revelation she was given. "Oh really? Well, um, I think she was in Northshore, well, that was awhile ago- but, um, um..." Meeting the sisters of the legend she had referred to as "big sister" was an almost surreal experience to the girl. Wondering more about the legends and what they were like now, Marie's face went flush with embarrassment as she was having trouble actually forming words to speak to the woman. "Um um? This some kinda code I don't know?" The yellow legend laughed, only to grimace in pain as they grabbed their side. "Ah, uh, sorry." Snapping out of her star struck state, Marie asked, "where are all of you going?" "Don't know yet. But we're all being summoned. By the big guy himself." She points up to the sky. The girl looked at the sky, confused, asking, "big guy?" "You know, Rayquaza." Marie thought about it for a moment. She had known that name sounded familiar but she couldn't figure out why. Given who it was, she figured it was probably the name of some legend, but unfortunately Marie's knowledge on the non-alolan legends was pretty shaky. She had only really known of a few of the bigger ones, as well as all of the ones related to the sea. Thinking about her favorite of the water legends, Kyogre, the girl suddenly remembered why it was that the name 'Rayquaza' sounded so familiar. Looking with yet another expression of shock, the young Brionne couldn't but let out an, "ehhhhhhh?"
  23. Jun gave a wave to Melissa the quiet girl made her way out and went to the restroom. The scene seemed very familiar, and Jun couldn't help but think that Melissa had a habit of excusing herself every time they were together. Maybe she was prone to stomach issues? Well, it didn't really matter to her at the moment anyhow, and so Jun's eyes quickly shifted back to Gabby as the girl continued to speak as well. While Jun had not really paid attention to the change in Gabby's tone the first time luck was brought up, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when she brought it up again. The girl didn't really press it as she seemed to back pedal back into her usual regal demeanor. Still amused, Jun shrugged. "Well, it would be pretty bad for him if his luck ran out." The girl then smiled as she wondered just how a match between her two rookies would go, but simply continued saying, "as for Hiraku, well..." Jun trailed off. As a matter of principle she never had anything nice to really say about the boy, aloud at least. In spite of his generally unpleasant attitude and her antagonistic feelings towards him, she still had to go along with the facts. And the facts were that he was the third starting member of the duel team for a reason. He might've come off as arrogant as well as easily annoyed, but Jun had known that he could be counted on to keep his composure in any duel he actually cared about...aside from against Hitomu. As such, the girl pondered for a moment before smiling again saying, "well, you'll see for yourself."
  24. Leon continued to stand at the ready, on lookout for any of the skeletons that were roughly around them. Though he was worried about them attacking, not only were they not heading towards them, but they had also seemed to stop. Leon let out a sigh of relief as he watched the zombies fall to the ground, no longer moving, and sheathed his blade. Though they were now out of immediate peril, Leon still didn't seem any less concerned with the situation at hand. Yue and Raynor were still in critical condition, and he had to make sure that they were still seen to and taken care of before their wounds got any worse. Thankfully, before he could even really start moving, Rona had flown into the scene. As the girl gave her aid to Yue, the young leader looked to the archer saying, "yeah. The monster's have been taken care of. Sorry, that I couldn't do more to keep you safe. And thanks." Looking back to Rona he said, "you too. Sorry that I couldn't help aid you in fighting the beast. But, good job in defeating it." Looking at Layne rushing past them he then looked to other two before saying, "we need to get patched up too." Edda, meanwhile, weakly pumped her fist into the air alongside Alexis and just said, "um, yeah. Woo." Though the Pegasus Knight had then fallen onto her face, Edda didn't seem to react much to it, instead having the nervous expression she had worn all fight on her face. She nodded in agreement as Alexis mentioned about it being a sign of things to come. Edda had never seen such a beast in her life as well, and the only place she had heard talk of such shadowy creatures existing with the crystal forest. And that place was as unholy as they came, so for such creatures and ones that didn't even fully match what little she had heard...the thought was unsettling to say the least. The girl seemed unsettled by this discussion entirely, though seemed to be pulled out of it as Alexis offered to give her a ride back to the camp. Suddenly remembering who it was she was talking to, Edda pulled up her hood and looked away. "I'm fine walking back," her tone was dismissive though also sounded as though she was forcibly making it so. As she glanced back, Edda saw the Shaman lie down on the ground. Flatly the girl said, "she might, though." Chapter 7 - Traitors Date: 28th of Aeis, Year 967, Fall Time: 10:17 AM Location: En Route to Enta, Southern Aeora, Evas River With the dust having settled on the fight, the group had gone back to camp and rested for the night. After getting up, the group soon made their way across the river. While it was deep enough to not be easily walked through, and thus those who didn't know how to swim would have trouble, the group was equipped with two fliers and thus were able to easily ferry themselves across if they so chose. Gojira would have some struggles, but ultimately manage to get across. With that all over and done with, Leon simply looked at the map and said, "Enta's only a few days more from where we are." With that, the boy elected to start the march, the group resuming their journey to the port town.
