  1. The sound of wheels on rails, the passing sights of a city, this was indeed a train. If it were Rei on her own, she would be able to manage just fine, but Herc’s presence here was… detrimental. “No civilians,” Rei observed, looking around at the empty seats. “That does give us a bit more freedom, but try not to damage the train too much.” “Look, I don’t know what you want me to do,” Herc commented as he looked around, his shoulders scraping against the poles. “I either damage this a little or I’m not movin’,” “That’s inevitable,” Rei agreed, albeit reluctantly. “Hence the use of ‘too much’ instead of ‘at all’.” “Woah, that’s a pretty big beetle,” Suzume teased. “It’s a shame my partner can’t do something more useful like shoot out bug spray.” “Whatever the hell I can do is better than you can do!” Suda shouted, crossing his arms. “What, are ya gonna polish his armor to submission?” “Can we change a polishin’ to a back massage, because being in this train is givin’ me cramps,” Herc piped up. “Cramps aren’t the only thing you’ll have. Not sure what pretty boy over here can do to you with his Quirk, but you shouldn’t underestimate a spinning object.” “Ah, she thinks I’m pretty. Thank you, you have no clue what it takes to get ready in the morning, it’s such a nightmare,” Herc quipped. “If we just let them bicker among themselves, they may knock each other out for us,” Rei suggested from behind her partner. “As if! Team Suzume, roll out!” Without any further warning, Suzume spin her torso around viciously, before leaning over to touch one of the poles in the train with her hands. The high-speed rotation caused her to rocket forward on the touch, effectively shooting a human missile at Herc and Rei. Suda whistled as she watched the girl ricochet towards the opponents. “Not bad, Suzy!” Herc meanwhile, was hit directly on the chest, the force of the attack pushing Herc back slightly, causing him to bump into Rei. “Ow,” Herc said flatly as he looked at the tiny human projectile. He looked down at Suzume, who had stopped spinning due to the impact. “You wanna try that again, or should we just keep going for real?” He asked, reaching out and patting her on the head. Suda couldn’t help but laugh as he watched Herc pat his teammate. “Grr… quit laughing and back me up already!” Suzume barked at Suda, her head snapping around to face him. “And you!” she continued as her head spun back into a more natural position. “I’m not some stray puppy, get your gross bug hands off me!” “With a neck like that, you’re more like a stray owl than a puppy,” Herc commented, “But alright, no more hands,” With that, he launched a giant kick into Suzume’s gut, propelling the girl back and into a crash course with her teammate. Suda, seeing the girl flying towards her, acted quickly as he deployed one of his orbs in front of Suzume. She would feel the orb pulling on her, slowing her down as she eventually bumped into Suda. “Alrighty then.” Suda said, cracking his knuckles as the orb dissipated. “I think we’re ready to start this for real now.” He threw his arm forwards, placing one of the orbs right below Herc. He would feel the orb start pulling him towards the ground with great force. Herc fell to his knees, and the giant used to his hands to keep himself propped up. He didn’t expect Suda’s control over gravity to be both so strong and so precise. “One of those gravity balls you talked about?” Rei asked. She raised an eyebrow in surprise though; it was strange that she was unaffected. “Hold still for a moment.” The girl stepped up onto Herc’s back, running forward toward the two. Just after stepping off of the beetle, Rei snapped her right hand’s fingers, leaving behind what could be described as a hologram of herself as she moved forward, watching Suda and Suzume alike for any movements. “Alright, I’m…,” Herc gritted his teeth as he slowly fought against the gravity field. He managed to get one foot in front of him so he was now only kneeling on one knee. “I’m right behind ya, Rei,” With a loud grunt, Herc managed to get himself back on his feet, standing proud in the gravity. “Let’s kick their asses,” “What!” Suda shouted, his face morphing into one of genuine shock. “How… how did...” He felt himself panic for a second, completely losing focus on the orb as it faded into nothingness. Just how strong had this guy had gotten since he first saw him? Or had he always been this strong? He shook his head. He grinned, although he was clearly still shooken. “Well this got a bit more interesting!” He turned to Suzume, who was still recovering from the kick. “Hey! Quit standing there and help me!” “Don’t have to tell me twice.” With the shock of the sudden impact wearing off, Suzume readied herself to start fighting in earnest. This would be one tough bug to squish.
  2. What's your favorite song by Queen Van Halen?
  3. Favorite piece of music in the Fate/Grand Order soundtrack?
  4. I told Sonic every AMA that asked about favorite heroic spirits also has someone ask about least favorite heroic spirits, but yours doesn't either. So to avoid being wrong: What are your five least favorite heroic spirits in Fate?

Hmmmmm... 7/10. This sounds familiar at least. 5/10. I'm not going to rate entire youtube channels anymore. For this one imma go with 6/10. OP's suggestion, since much to my surprise nobody's posted it yet. 7/10
  6. since the other AMAs asking about favorite heroic spirits has it and yours doesn't: Top 5 least favorite heroic spirits?
  7. Favorite song that isn't by Queen?
  8. Pretty sure it's just you playing Fire Emblem. I always saw it as "Lancer can get that first stab in, but if it doesn't kill or it misses Saber's in close where their sword is still effective and a lance/spear isn't as useful"
  9. If you like Summer Martha, got news for ya son. She's pretty damn cool, but Jeannne's number one.
  10. How can mirrors be real if our eyes aren't real?
  11. This depends a bit actually. In the history of Fate as an anime series, every summoning has been conducted with a catalyst related to the Servant one wants to summon and/or use of some extra lines in the summoning incantation. Using the sheath of Excalibur lets Kiritsugu summon King Arthur, Waver used a piece of cloth from Iskandar's cape to summon him, and Kariya added some extra lines to his summoning to get a Berserker-class Servant, among other things. This is also why r/grandorder users post catalysts of the Servant they want for good luck on their gacha rolls (I've even made a few myself, but all I can make is memes). But it is known that should one summon their Servant without such a catalyst, the Throne of Heroes will simply hand them the Servant that would best suit them. The Servant I would get without a catalyst is still a bit up in the air as far as I know, but the latest consensus to my memory was that it would be Oda Nobunaga (my favorite Servant, as it so happens; see the bottom of the previous page). Should I get Nobu as my Servant in a Holy Grail War, I'd likely leave the strategizing to her since she'd certainly be a far better tactician than me, and try to get the drop on other Masters myself while she was busy dealing with Servants if she didn't need me or whatever type of magic I'd have for something. If I were to use a catalyst to summon a Servant, however, I would rather like to summon Leonardo da Vinci as my Servant, perhaps using one of his blueprints as a cataylst. The Caster class isn't all that suited to direct combat, but with my weird ideas and da Vinci's brilliance, it's safe to assume that we'd have plenty of unique tools at our disposal to deal with the others in unconventional fashions they might not be ready for. It's a strategy based very much on the element of surprise and thinking of approaches that wouldn't normally work. If we assume this takes place in Fuyuki like the others do, and that I summoned without a catalyst thus ending up with Nobunaga, my Servant would be incredibly powerful due to Servants getting buffs in their homeland, proportional to their fame. The legendary Sengoku warlord largely responsible for Japan being a single nation would naturally be a pretty big deal in Japan. Otherwise, my advantages against others mostly rely on being over/underestimated, as well as my ability to come up with odd ideas on the fly (this would be all the stronger if I used a catalyst to summon da Vinci).
  12. The show is about calling up people from the past to fight in a fight for a cup that can make any wish come true. These are great figures who are very important in the story of people as a race, and the people who team up with them after calling them to the present. It's a pretty fucked-up world but the normal people don't know any of this is going on either, so they have no idea about the crazy shit going on just under their noses. The phone game lets you round up these people for yourself, catch them all, and run around through time doing different things to fix the past. It's pretty cool, and rather kind to new people or people who don't want to spend a lot of money. And free to play. There is also a side show but that's a whole different matter that you shouldn't even worry about until you get into the big stuff first.
  13. awwww yiss, my favorite part of the season
  14. I'm plugging my AMA in the status bar and y'all can't stop me. Go as me some Fate/ related stuff I guess.

a.k.a. "a 3-minute intro". 5/10, good, but should have been about half the length it actually is. Aight I'll admit, the build a wall bit caught me by surprise. 5/10. OP's suggestion. 6/10, but boy do I like it more than that.
  16. What's something about Americans that the British find weird? Inversely, what's something about the British that you believe Americans might find weird?
  17. "I'm sure you'll get a chance later." But of course. It wasn't like Vivian would never see Mr. John or his dog again, so there would surely be plenty of chances to ask about or play with cute dogs! It was just a bit unfortunate that now was no such opportunity was all. However, Stella's next thought was one that resonated strongly with Vivian. "I wonder if they have any kind of pet shops around here though...or allow pets at all." "Mmmmm... probably not." It was a school after all. And if Mr. John wasn't supposed to bring his dog to this assembly, it stood to reason that students having pets of their own was probably out of the question. And even then, what sort of pet would Vivian want? A dog like Mr. John? Or maybe a cat? Bird? Snake? Frog? Turtle? Spider? There were simply so many options that even trying to figure out where to start was a bit overwhelming. Plus, there was no telling if Stella would be okay with a pet! That was also a crucial factor! "Pet ownership has to wait until I'm done here and take off on my own, I guess." Not that Vivian seemed upset about that at all. Indeed, as long as there was a future, there was a pet to be had. Vivian was going to ask about what sort of pet Stella would want, but Kellz had also joined in, asking about the Phys Ed teacher. Right... Vivian hadn't really thought about it until Kellz brought it up, but would those two be okay in that sort of class? Vivian had met a couple people with prosthetic eyes or ears before, and one guy who had an entire jaw replaced, but limbs were a different matter entirely. If she was being honest, Vivian actually had no idea what it entailed for their health, but she did know Kellz's arm was capable of incredible feats of strength, and that Stella's leg wasn't really anything special. Hopefully they'd be able to manage. One boy, however, seemed concerned about the class himself. One boy that Vivian most certainly recognized! That was Weston Easton! "He's really famous with girls our age," Vivian whispered to Kellz. Famous, good-looking, rich, he was what lots of girls Vivian's age probably called "the whole package". But while she did like his movies, Vivian had to admit. She didn't see all the craze about the guy himself. Maybe those girls all wanted to be actresses or something, kind of like how a famous painter would be idolized by people trying to get into that sort of hobby. Vivian knew that if she was in the presence of a famous photographer or conservationist, she'd be on the edge of her seat, to put it lightly. But having never seen him in person, it was always like he existed, but only in her mind. Though even Vivian had to admit, it was weird seeing him here. Vivian checked inside her purse. Pen, pen, camera, pen, pen, phone, pen... how many pens did she have in here? Hopefully they weren't all junk. But no paper? Wait! An extra napkin from yesterday's trip to Burgz Palace! That would have to do. "I'll be right back," she smiled at the two, before heading in Weston Easton's direction. "Excuse me~" He turned, the wind tossing his hair and he smiled. "Yes, what is it, little kitten?" "Ah... I'm not a cat for one. Even if I'm really good at climbing things." Holding out the napkin and a blue pen that hopefully wasn't trash, Vivian continued "I was just really surprised to see a famous actor here of all places! Is it okay if I get your signature?" Weston had a bit of a dumbfounded expression for a moment before chuckling and going back to the previous look. "Of course, of course, it's the least I can do for an adoring fan." He cringed as he looked at the napkin but swiftly signed it with practiced ease. Vivian nodded enthusiastically to herself. Her first encounter with a celebrity, and she got out of it with a signature! Not bad for a first day of school! "Thank you!" With an appreciative wave, Vivian hurried back to the side of her friends, tucking the signed napkin somewhere safe in her purse. "Makes you wonder why he's here, though," Vivian pondered. "Method acting?" Nothing that way either. Well, this field was about what Sammi had expected. A field. Aside from the size, nothing seemed all that special about it at a glance, prompting the robot girl to return in the general direction of the slowly-dispersing crowd of students and the teachers they'd been presented with. Some were asking teachers questions, and at first, Sammi didn't really care much to ask any herself. When her gaze drifted past Jax "The Max" Benton again, however, an important thought crossed her mind. As any appropriate physical education teacher would, he wanted to train these students to get them into outstanding physical shape. This was a concern. What did that mean for Sammi? Sammi turned, heading for the teachers, and Mr. Benton specifically. "Mr Benton," Sammi started. "What do you plan to do with students who show no signs of physical improvement?" "That won't happen! You will all get stronger or BREAK TRYING!" Sammi could have sworn she felt her engine skip a rotation. "I, uh... I see." That made sense, come to think of it. Suddenly, Sammi felt a need to locate BOMB and ask him what the hell to do about the phys ed class. Even if it meant outing herself to him. With that scan from yesterday, he probably already knew anyway, even if he never got the chance to finish it. Sammi hurried in the direction of the dorm building, equally surprised at Mr. Benton's barbaric answer and the sense of urgency it had elicited from her. Sure that platform would take the students back too, but who knew when that would happen? Besides, this would give her time to think. Ways to strengthen myself... I should ask about BOMB's pump some more. It's probably better than the old engine I have, so swapping them out would improve my specs. Or I could pass myself off as incredibly weak at the start of the year, and put in more effort little by little... but it would be too easy to mess that up, even for me. This is a problem.
  18. oh shit are acronyms automatic? on the one hand, cool, but on the other, yuck that's gonna be obnoxious.

  19. Location: Trailsau (Team Alola, day 27) Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote, Kasib Berry "I didn't see it! I saw nothing! Nothing, I swear! Don't take revenge on me. I am just a poor, innocent Pikachu. I didn't curse your ancestors, please forgive mine for their terrible mistake!" After a couple more bites into her meal, Nani looked over to the dazed Keanu. "You know I can't put a curse on you, right?" Another bite. Her food was nearly gone, so she may as well have finished it off now. "Some Mimikyus can, but it's something you're born with that gets inherited from your parents. Plus, what would Randy and Marie think if I did something like that for a reason as vain as 'he saw my face'?" There were infinitely better curse targets than Keanu, but with Nani not even being able to do that in the first place, it wasn't like it mattered. The worst Nani could feasibly do is ask nicely to not tell anyone what she looked like, though all the same, Nani couldn't imagine Keanu had any reason to share that kind of information with others.
  20. More people were coming in. How many students attended this school anyway? As the volume of people increased, naturally, so too did the volume of the noise in the event. Maybe she could just... sleep through the whole thing. It was worth a shot. And so, Kyouko folded her arms over the bar, rested her head in them, and... "Yo, Kyouko! Guess I finally found you. Unfortunately, Sai isn't going to be joining us so if anything, I'll deliver that design you have to him. Though I do know Melissa is supposed to be here." Be met with the club leader instead. "Right. That." Kyouko reached into a hoodie pocket, pulling out a roughly-folded piece of paper and handing it to the boy. "There you have it. Tell him he can do what he wants with the design, but that's roughly what I had in mind." She wasn't here to have a pleasant chat though. Just to deliver that and because Jun asked her to show up. Kyouko shooed the club leader away, before trying again. Arms folded, head in arms, and Kyouko... Felt something tap her shoulder, lightly. On reflex, Kyouko's arm snapped back, to grab at whoever or whatever it was, but the something had already pulled back. Pretty quickly, or at least fast enough to know Kyouko would react that way. This person knew her, then. But did she know them? Kyouko checked the seats adjacent to her, to find a face she did indeed recognize. "Cheers Kyouko, I haven't gotten to see you all year! I'm a bit surprised you've made it out; you never made things like this seem like much of your occasion... are you well this year?" "Oh, it's only..." Lacey? No. Was her name Linda? That's not it either... Beatrice? Definitely not. At least she knew who this girl was. "...it's you," she concluded. Kyouko straightened herself back up, into a more proper sitting posture. She took a moment to check her phone. In a noisy place like this, it wasn't exactly easy to hear it go off when she got a text, so checking for herself every so often seemed like a good idea. No new texts. Before putting the phone back in her pocket, she checked a second time, to find the same result. As she tucked her phone away, Kyouko replied "I don't want to be here, actually. But Jun asaked me to in return for a big favor she did for me, so my hands are tied on showing up or not. I'll probably just try to avoid mingling for as long as I can, but other than that? Could be worse." Come to think of it, her former peer meditation buddy didn't seem like the type to show up to these either. At least, not the way Kyouko remembered her. "I could say the same to you, though. Doesn't really seem like your kind of thing to show up for. Did you get roped into it too?" She was oddly popular today. Two whole people started conversations with her, back-to-back.

  22. Day 8, ?:00, Arena Points: 61 W/L Record: 3/3 "We should probably stay back. I'm sure it will want to talk to her herself. You know. To make sure she isn't a problem." Gnash isn't an it. He's a person same as us, and not even a bad one. Somehow, Aurora got the feeling that voicing such sentiments wouldn't really do much. It was best to just watch Ross's meeting with Gnash. Even if she didn't share Morgan's opinions on the monster, she had to admit, she was also curious to see how it would go. They exchanged some words, Ross received her key, Gnash seemed surprised that another new fighter had shown up already (not that Aurora blamed him), and ultimately, the whole thing went off pretty smoothly. "Well, I think I'm about ready to head off to bed now." "Yeah, me too." Aurora would be a busy girl tomorrow. A regular fight, her event match, seeing if that Plants in Pants fangirl would actually show up at the mall... talk about a schedule! It still felt like a waste of her talents to use them for something like arena fights instead of the hero work she'd been studying up on back home, but Mauvache had made it pretty clear that that wasn't her place in this world. "Good night." Aurora needed to get some rest. Time to head back to her room.
  23. The gnolls were still approaching. That was about what Pyrrha would have expected, honestly. This fight would be too easy if a single arrow deterred each one from attacking. What she wasn't expecting was for Geoff to not only step into the fray, but to do so rather skillfully! Perhaps having this guy around wouldn't be all bad after all! "Pyrrha! Go help the others, dear. Leave this side to us..." "Roger!" As Pyrrha got her next arrow ready, she hopped down from the cart she'd been on, hurrying along to the other side of the group's little area. It was true that this other side had more enemies on it than the other. Maybe being over here was for the best. And where does that leave me? Stay over there, Eltain. I may need a means of escape if this goes south. Once Pyrrha was on the other side of the battlefield, taking care to keep the stronger and tougher Reinaan between herself and the gnolls, Pyrrha resumed her shooting, aiming her next arrow at the group that left Keres in the most immediate danger. Even if she couldn't kill them in one shot, slowing them down had to have some value, even now.
