  1. I still need advice about my mom's diet coke addiction.
  2. It's less supernatural and more...maybe culty? It was odd. Back when I worked at Walmart as a cart pusher. It was late. I was checking around the side of the store (because some reason people leave carts there) and I happened to glance at a hill in the distance where there were some trees. And saw a group of people just standing there in hooded cloaks. Also at Walmart, I was gathering carts late, looked off to the side at a bench used by the employees during breaks, saw someone sitting there. I passed by a car and when I got to the other side they were gone. Now idk if this was anything but me being tired and paranoid but it was a little spooky at the time.
  3. Easily Etrian Odyssey. The art is cute but still has style to it and the monsters are really interesting looking. I'm a big fan of the combat screen too (front facing enemies instead of the more normal from the side). Beyond that, hrm...I like the artstyle of a lot of the Wayforward games (Shantae and the like). And, of course, Fire Emblem sprites.
  4. “I never- um, I always try to get my duels -- when I have to duel, which isn’t often, um, I try to get them over with quickly so I guess so.” Gabriela almost sighed in relief. She was glad to know that Melissa also preferred short duels. She was worried the girl would think her usual duel style was unusual. Gabby enjoyed fast paced duels. Dealing mass damage all at once. There was something thrilling and oddly comforting about such a thing. In the back of her mind while watching the duel she wondered if it was more common to take more time to get things going. “Except who, Hitomu? You had that duel against him at the coffee shop, right?” Ah, she had seen that. How embarrassing...it wasn't a defeat that sit well with her. Her first duel in this new school and she had lost. It frightened her. If she couldn't be good at dueling then she might not last here. It wasn't as though she had money, or knowledge, after all. Melissa squeezed Gabriela’s hand again and the girl felt the blood rush to her cheeks. “You don’t have to hide that from me, I was there too. And don’t worry too much about that. Beating everyone is kind of his thing.” Well, that was- “At cards. He beats everyone at Duel Monsters.” It took her a moment before she realized what the girl said and she gave a sudden laugh. One that was more like a snort. She covered her face as she continued to laugh for a bit. "You're....quite funny." Gabriela got out. She hadn't even thought of the other possible meaning of the phrase beating everyone. It was pretty clever actually. "Well, it is of no import." Gabriela said, smiling wide and puffing her chest out. "I shall bring him down yet. If he is the best then that just means he is the most suited to serve me!" She looked over at Melissa. "Perhaps we could have a duel sometime. I would like to see which of us is faster." A fond smile followed.
  5. "I am supposed to undergo this procedure, right?" Florence looked at Kansuke blankly. "You were the one who told me...weren't you? Well, we're here now, so why don't you lie down and we can stick this thing inside of you." The nurse looked at the two with concern. "Could someone explain what's happening? Are you sick?" She approached Kansuke. "Did something happen that is affecting your short term memory perhaps?" Kelsey smirked at the unusual interaction with the stranger. Her smirk grew even more as both of them answered her in such a series manner. It was clear the woman was just off her rocker. Usually those types you wanted to avoid but since these two had already engaged she figured she'd just stand back and watch. Though she made sure to keep near Stella just in case. Though it seemed that there wasn't much to worry about. The woman stared at the two of them with wide eyes. "Paaapeeeeer!" She moaned, and her mouth foamed up and she collapsed to the ground, fainting. An employee seemed to notice the ruckus and came over. Sighing he reached for what looked like a push broom. "Sorry about that folks she does that from time to time. Come on, boss, it's time for your nap." He said and started to push the woman along the ground with the broom. "Sooo....did anyone expect to see this when we decided on a lovely little trip to the store?" She laughed and nudged Stella. "Nice lesson teach, maybe you should be teaching our class instead of being a student." She then nodded at Vivian. "Isn't your planet made of trees? You'd think there'd be more paper there." As Sammi wandered aimlessly she would come across a young boy looking around with a nervous expression. "H-h-hey you're the one...one of the ones...who left by foot e-earlier right?" He said, stumbling over his words. "U-um, are you lost? I'm kind of...kind of lost too. Some other guys told me to f-find something for them but I don't know where it is. T-they said that the s-security officer had it but I don't know where...sorry. I shouldn't bother you. Sorry!" She winced and looked down, as though expecting to get yelled at. "Truth be told, I thought it might've been for your roommate, since ya know...a lot of people don't seem to like him all that much." The girl looked at him with a baffled look. "You think that one of the most popular teen actors is disliked...in a school full of teens?" She started to say something further but held back. "If you must know, though, this was probably set up by his fans." "By the way, I didn't introduce myself earlier. Chase Weller, mecha pilot as well as designer of mech...well, soon to be official designer of mech. For now it's just sketches and notes." "A designer, I see..." She paused in her cleaning then sighed. "My name is Aya Tolah. As with most I'm here to be a pilot...You're not attempting to start a 'relationship' are you?" She said it with a strange accent, as though unsure if she was saying the proper word. "Because I am not interested. I am only here to learn." "But, as for the sleeping spirit of this planet? It means that it is settled. That the world itself is in no danger, and that it has no rivals for space. For us? It means that this is a safe place to build and to live. It also means that we are unlikely to receive intercession from this greater spirit, which is why my tribe would never settle in such a place." For a moment Xa'tok would notice a troubled expression on the boy's face. But it soon faded as he focused in on what the shaman had asked. "How did you recognize what tribe I am from? You are the first hornless one to do so." He gave a warm smile. "Ah, that's simple. My people had some run ins with yours from time to time. It's to be expected. Space may seem vast but really there are only so many places to go. I myself never met them but I have heard descriptions. I suppose you could say I'm pretty good at picking up on things like that." He hesitated. "About this spirit. What do you think would happen if someone were to wake it up?"
  6. Cora took the food that Catriona offered. It wouldn't do to waste food that was given. As she slowly ate it she was focused on the girl who had left on horseback. Similarly to Acantha she was worried. Where was the girl going? Catriona had asked the black haired woman, the one with the tail, to go after her. But was it really alright to leave it like that? To Acantha Cora said "Keep an eye on things here, okay?" Then, louder, to Catriona, she followed it with "I'll go too. I'd like to know where she's headed at least. We don't know what's going on here so I don't want anyone getting into anything dangerous." And she couldn't be sure the girl didn't intend on robbing them anyway. Especially with Pylauses's house nearby. So she left the house as well, whistling for Abel and climbing onto his back. "Alright boy, we're going to follow that stranger's horse okay?" And with that she went after Ciela. Not trying to hide herself but not rushing to catch up either. “R-right, um… I won’t bother you with any more questions.” "You know, if you want to know more, I'll welcome the questions." Penelope said. She didn't want to completely close out the avenue. She just didn't intend to tell her everything. That being said she saw Catriona checking out the spice cabinet. Looking around she realized that there really wasn't much else to investigate. "I'll have to ask that Cora girl if she found anything herself." With everything else handled she decided to head down towards the basement. She didn't hear what Ciela had said to Catriona, had she she might have asked the girl to stay here, so she simply strolled down to the basement. She could hear people struggling off in the distance so she strolled over there, noting the swords and chest on the way there, and found... "Well, this is quite the pickle isn't it?" She said cheerily as she found Tsetseg with a net covering her. Three others were trying to get the net off her but, after watching for a moment, Penelope raised a hand. "You know, it probably would be easier if we just lift one side of the net and let her crawl out. Much easier than trying to lift the whole heavy thing up at least." She smiled and shook her head. What would they ever do without her? From what Alois said it wasn't anything to do with the Goddess. He had his concerns but...if Alois, who clearly didn't like this place, was vouching for them then perhaps it was something else. But what could it be? If not the Goddess.... "what have you found so far?" "Honestly not much. All these journals, and that gold, it really points to something unusual happening. But I don't think it's related to the current situation. Not directly at least." "There's a locked crate here. Can you bring me that blade over there? I'm going to try opening it by force." "Ah, um, I don't know if that's...well, just be careful." Gunther said. Alois was closer to said blade so he left it to him. Instead he approached the closet. If he went inside with Adelaide there wouldn't be much room so instead... "Here, I'll help you drag it out." Gunther said and, as he stated, grabbed one side of the crate to bring it out into the open more. Once done he checked out the suit of armor. It was full of dust and seemed it hadn't been disturbed in a long time. Not even with any of the markings they had been finding elsewhere. Looking closer he saw some sort of engraving by the collar. "Erimax" Without anything to go on he decided to move over to check the pile of toys. Sifting through it he didn't notice anything out of place. It seemed to be sitting here for a while as it was all covered in dust as well. The armored bear plush drew his eyes. He thought, for a moment, Tsetseg might like it. But he wasn't about to steal. It was odd. The mayor clearly didn't keep these clean but he also didn't throw it away. It was hard to tell if he cared about it or not. Though from what he saw he figured he was the kind of man to get rid of things he didn't want. The journal came to mind again. Particularly the scratched off portions. Walking out of the closet he got Alois's attention. "Alois...does the mayor have any children? Or, rather, did he? They might be grown up by now." Putting a finger to his chin Alois said, "well, none that i can remember." With a joking smirk on his face, Alois continued, "I mean, I doubt anyone would want to - " he then paused. Tapping his chin again he said, "well...maybe." "I...see." Gunther gestures at the pile of toys, "it just feels that he was holding onto this for someone....or something like that." With a nod Alois said, "well, he definitely had a wife, but I don't remember any kid being his. Though, there was this one kid, older than me. He was pretty cool, I used to look up to him and all, but well, I don't really remember his name or what happened to him." A thought came to mind. "Does the name "Erimax" ring any bells?" Alois shrugged. "Sort of? It's definitely familiar but," the boy shrugged again. He was starting to piece together an idea of sorts. Perhaps the mayor did have a child, someone he had a falling out with, which would explain why he kept all these things but didn't want to look at them...Though that was neither here nor there, he supposed. "Well, perhaps you'll meet him again someday." Gunther said without really knowing why. He focused on the crate again. Whatever was inside might be something of sentimental value to the mayor as opposed to actual value to them. Hopefully prying it open didn't damage whatever it was.

  10. Team Alola, On the Road to Adarid City "Weakness. Everywhere I turn." the Lucario said. Though he almost sounded more disappointed than anything. He raised his hand in Keanu's direction and fired off an Aura Sphere. When it made contact with the Electro Ball the two attacks, both made of energy, the Aura Sphere overtook the Electro Ball. It continued after Keanu, chasing him for a while. But Lucario was no longer focused on Keanu. "Those two, uh... they're a bit reckless. A lot, lately. Yeah you probably shouldn't be doing this and all, but if you're really going through with it, it would be a lot more impactful if there were people who knew, right? Rumors spread, the other Legends start looking for you, it's like using fish to bait out more fish. I'll fight you if you don't want to back down now, but wouldn't that give those two birds over there plenty of time to get away?" Lucario turned in the direction of the girl who had spoken. He stepped forward and suddenly darted at speed too fast to see until he was behind the girl. "This won't take much time." He said calmly and brought an elbow into the back of her neck. Then without missing a beat swung his leg around and kicked Nani in the side and threw her skidding across the ground. Team Mac, Cave Part Two Mac fake-gagged at Ari's insistence of how cool Kazo was but then got caught up in what Zekrom had said. Followers? Of someone as powerful as him? "That sounds...awesome! Does that mean I might learn to become super cool and strong like a legendary is?! Maybe as strong as Entei!" "Ha, I'd hope you'd become even stronger! Don't limit yourself by setting a goal so specific, young one!" "I... well, doing that would be amazing, but, we have a big problem going on right now, and I think we need to take care of that first. It's just... something that needs taken care of you know? But after it's all said and done, I don't mind joining ya," Meanwhile, Mac had come to an answer while the two spoke. "I want...to fight the Legends. All of them. I want to get stronger and stronger. But to do that...I have to do it on my own. I gotta keep traveling and facing all sorts of Legends. So, I guess....sorry Z-Zekrom, I don't think I can do that." Zekrom looked at the three and crossed his arms. His face looked serious, grim.... And then he threw his arms open wide and a smile crossed his face. "WONDROUS!" He roared. "Such strong emotion! Such powerful ideals! I had feared that the people of this era have lost their way. But it seems you children are still living life the way I intended!" He started pacing back and forth. "Yes, there is a great foe to face. And it's good there are warriors who will stand up to them." He stopped abruptly and turned to them. "But, and I hate to admit this, you are weak in body despite your ideals." He nodded to himself, and one of his arms crackled with electricity. "How about you show me what you've got, right here, right now. Don't hold anything back!" ROAR "I want to feel the strength of your hearts!" Team Neo Not Dark, Under The Sea Easter's Moonblast struck the Carvanha mid-kick and blasted the low-leveled Gijinka away. They were unconscious before they landed. The other, having let go in surprise at how fast Easter had taken down the rest of his companions, opened his mouth wide and let out a loud Screech before trying to Aqua Jet from a crouched position into Easter's chin. "Ha...hahaha!" the Dragalge started to laugh, wincing at the pain the action caused him, as he walked towards Denku. "You tried soooo hard. But it was useless!" The Dragalge kicked Denku. "Maybe next time, ha!" They then launched a Dragon Pulse at the prone Pupitar. Despite their injuries, that they were trying to play off, the Dragalge wasn't quite down yet. Though to anyone but the confused Denku it would be clear he was on his last leg. “That’s my job Dora! To protect you! Seeing you get hurt would do more damage to me than any attack these punks could dish out,” Something was bubbling up within Dora. A feeling she didn't quite get. It was warm, but not like a blanket, itchy, but not like a rash, and she couldn't tell if it was good or bad. As the Cloyster was tossed out of the bubble the Huntail came at Brooke, spinning and ready to hit Brooke in the side with an Aqua Tail. And the feeling exploded. "But I feel the same about you!" Dora shouted, finally able to put some words to the feeling as she dove towards the Huntail. Ramming her head into him and knocking the attacker off center. The Cloyster, from beyond the bubble, instead of looking fearful seemed more frustrated. Their eyes had a hint of madness to them as they approached the bubble again and launched a series of spikes at Brooke from the edge of it. Team Showdown, Temple of Time and Space Isole groaned as he heard Taiga's words. "Way to go, dummy, got yourself all messed up." She then looked towards the Cradily. Its tentacles were creeping from around their shoulders and neck and moving towards Taiga. Aiming to Constrict her. Meanwhile the Armaldo, having been facing Taiga, turned when Scarlet spoke. He sneered at her but started towards her instead. As he approached his body started to harden and, on the way there, he shot off a Water Gun attack. Afterwards his claw extended and glowed with draconic energy. Isole decided it might be good these other two were so distracting. It let her do this much easier. She launched a Thunderbolt at the Cradily. Unfortunately for her the warrior wasn't quite as dim-witted as she thought and they bent out of the way. The tentacles that were going towards Taiga halted and instead went for Isole. She rolled her eyes and swiped her hand to the side and a blizzard picked up in front of her, rushing across the tentacles and freezing their ends. The Cradily gasped in pain as the tentacles fell to the ground. Isole then gestured forward and sent the Blizzard directly at the Cradily instead. The attack buffeted the Grass Gijinka and seemed to be enough to finish them off. Still attached to the ground through its roots it fell over. And it took some prying for those waiting outside the ring to get them out of the ring. Team Karaoke, Graveyard of Lost Souls As the hands grasped Nine's ankles, pulling him deeper into the suddenly soft ground, Raphael started to cackle. Lok's attack hit him and he gasped in surprise. "Oh what's this? The little baby is trying his hardest. Maybe some day he can be like me!" With another laugh Raphael shot a Shadow Ball at the other ghost. Gwendoline muttered something and a barrage of leaf-like projectiles rushed towards the Banette. Raphael drew his arm back and his Shadow Claw enlarged. With a single swipe he destroyed the projectiles that Gwen tried to hit him with. Leaping backwards Raphael landed on another tombstone. "Isn't it wonderful?" he said, spinning and stretching his arms out. "This world. It's MY world! At first it was so small. Just a lonely tombstone in the middle of a vast field. But as the years went by it grew, and grew, and grew. And now all the souls I tore out of their useless bodies make me even stronger! Which will let me add more and more souls! Yes, this is my graveyard, my sanctuary, my...reality! And you all will get to join them soon!" He narrowed his eyes. "Starting with you." Kayla launched a barrage of watery projectiles at Raphael, striking him in the back. He spun on the tombstone and dove towards her, raking his claws against her again. The attack felt as though real claws were being sliced through her yet there wasn't a physical trace of the damage. Nonetheless Kayla coughed and blood splattered Raphael's face. He then kicked the girl in the chest and sent her into the nearest tombstone. "You can keep trying but it just means more suffering." Raphael said, twisting his neck to look back at the others. He licked the blood from his face. "Of course, I'd prefer if you did." Gwen started forward but paused as he saw Nine's predicament. Chanting softly she waved her arms as a Mystical Fire emerged from the tips of her fingers. Aimed towards the ground near Nine.
