  1. "trykk videre!" What...was this? Rona felt strangely energized. As if her previous action never even happened. She felt strange about this clearly unnatural state, and had no idea how it came to be, but she wasn't about to waste this chance that she had been given. The monster to either side of her have been killed. Leaving only one in front of her. She sorely wished to take off and go deeper into the fight. Yet if she did that it left Ada open to be assaulted from multiple sides. She wasn't about to cause someone's death. So she readjusted her grip on her axe and took aim at the zombie before her. She lunged to the side, from atop Cormag, and scored a strong hit into the zombie's chest. As she pulled away the creature, evidently not even flinching from the wound, scored a cut across her arm. Pulling back she warily watched the creature as it moved. Hoping to finish it off soon. But what was that strange chant?
  2. Keres was running out of vegetables. She still had a good supply but it wouldn't last forever. Still what else could she do but continue to pelt the oncoming gnolls. If she let them past they would overwhelm the others in numbers. One of the carrots she slung hit a gnoll in the back of the group directly in the head at such force they stumbled back a bit. Her success was short lived as a few of the gnolls seemed to muscle through the onslaught. Even worse, while one went off to the side, and another started advancing, one brave soul took several vegetables to his body and pushed onward towards the wagon. He gripped the edge of it and pulled himself up despite the rain of vegetables. Keres started backing away, releasing the hold she had on the vegetables. She couldn't continue to fling them as she had before with this gnoll approaching, snarling angrily, grip tightening on his shortspear. --- Reinaan, being approached by two bleeding gnolls, would notice another making its way towards him from the side. Before he had time to react to them the gnoll he had shot in the eye came for him. Snarling wildly and swinging his axe down towards the draken. At the same time the one on the ground forwent its weapons and simply tried to lunge with its teeth and claws at the young hunter. --- The gnolls near Lindow weren't able to get to him without passing by Geoff. And as one of them, towards Lindow's left, tried the Chosen of Buffalo whipped out his weapon and sliced through the beast-man's shoulder. Forcing him back and refocusing him on Geoff. The other went to take advantage of this to stab Geoff but the man had other plans. With a practiced motion Geoff sliced through the shortspear and followed up by shoving the other end of the weapon into the gnoll's throat. The gnoll coughed and gagged, backing up several steps, clutching at its throat as it struggled to catch his breath. "It seems our foes are no match for me!" Geoff called out. "I hope you are watching closely. Not everyday you get to see a Chosen fight!" --- The gnolls surrounding Ryia let out laugh-like whoops as the one behind her penetrated through her defenses. Surrounding her on most sides they felt confident despite the loss of their ally. The one who had stabbed her took his axe out and went for an overhead chop, trying to bury it into the back of her head. As he did the other two gnolls closer to the front of her also came at her with their own axes. The fourth, still wielding a spear, decided to wait and watch. Not able to get in on the action with the way the others were attacking. But he kept his eyes locked on them and stood half-crouching, ready to dive in at the first chance he got.
  3. Rona gritted her teeth. Both she and Cormag had suffered minor injuries from these monsters. It wasn't much, surely not enough to worry, but Cormag seemed to struggle with having so many people around him. He let out a screech at those nearest, and Rona had to keep a restraining hand to keep him from snapping towards them out of frustration. She couldn't blame them. She wanted nothing more than to break from the ranks and continue on towards the apparent leader of this pack. But she couldn't let this swarm get past her and to the others so she knew she just had to bear it. There were monsters on all sides. Two of which that had attacked her and one that was focusing on her ally. As she considered her options she heard a surprising voice shouting nearby. you do not! Hurt! My! Friends! You got that?" Was that...Yue? Rona trembled slightly at the sight of the arrow piercing the hound and slaying it on the spot. She was glad she hadn't given Yue reason to be upset with her if the girl was capable of that.... Glancing to the side she noticed that Raynor was struggling with two opponents near him as well. She started to have Cormag turn move she could more easily attack the axe wielder trying to kill the man but she hesitated. Worried that Cormag's thrashing tail might hit one of her allies as he gets into position. So instead she moved in her saddle and jumped from Cormag's back. Swinging her axe down and cleaving through the zombie before it was able to attack again. The moment she hit the ground she pulled the axe from the corpse and got back onto Cormag's back. The Wyvern letting out a roar of triumph. Feeling somewhat more confident, Rona shouted back towards Yue. "Nice shot by the way!" Alexis scanned the field with a frown. This wasn't good for her. No place to actually position herself that didn't put her at risk. From either the archer, axe wielder, or both. She noticed a gap in their defenses she could enter but, unless she force Leon to protect her, she could be easily blindsided as she did. "You're all pretty reckless ain't ya?" Alexis shouted, laughing as she saw how the entire group rushed into battle. "I'm going around the side to flank them. See if I can cut them off before we get too pinned down. C'mon Tana, let's get us some breathing room." Flashing a smile, she called out to Yue before she left. "Told you, master archer." In a blur Tana shot off and away from the group. Circling around to the other side of the treeline. She didn't get too far out, not wanting to run into a swarm by herself, and settled again near the treeline to plan her next move.
  4. Cora let out a sigh of relief as Tsetseg moved away from her. She hadn't been sure what to do about the strange girl and was glad it was out of her hands now. Which also served to draw her attention more on the Citron girl. She was getting defensive and frustrated and it put Cora on edge. Deciding it best to just not respond, despite still being uncertain about the wyvern, she just nodded and went along with the group's leader as they went to the square. After meeting with everyone, and having a brief spree of introduction, the blonde Knight among them started to explain what they had found. "It sounds, well to be blunt, insane. But it seems that someone came to this town, injured or old, and asked for help. The mayor refused them and best I can tell cursed them...And er...well, the animals apparently are actually the villagers. That is, if I understood correctly. It's not as though they can talk." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable that he was giving this crazy tale based on an animal's gestures. He was right. It sounded insane. Could something like that actually happened? The first part of it she could, as much as it shamed her, believe happening. But a curse that could actually turn the animals into people? Her eyes strayed to the beaver with the group. Could it be... When the beaver took off and Catriona followed Cora decided that it would be in her best interest to tag along. She didn't know why but it just felt right. As it turns out the beaver led them to....Acantha's house. The place that Cora had meant to go searching first. As it turned out Cain wasn't there but instead.... "Wow...I didn't realize Acantha liked things like this." Cora said, startled at the sight of the tied-up naked man in the yard. "Wait...he wasn't here before. I've never seen this man. And why...why is he making that noise?" That was when she felt a sharp slap across her face. The beaver that had led them here had climbed on top of Gunther's large frame, leapt from his shoulder, and used its tail to smack her across the face. She stared blankly at the creature for several moments, touching her throbbing cheek, before something clicked into place. "A-Acantha?" She said to the beaver. "well...if it's fine with you...but be careful! I bet it's not nearly as nice to be eaten by a wyvern as it is a fox!" "I would think neither preferable, but I don't think you have to worry." “Do you mind, um… Expanding on that, orrrr...? Like, what kind of 'almost eaten' are we talking? Giant monsters, or an angry kitten?” "Oh, no, not a monster. But they were quite large. You already met one of those who nearly did it actually." Penelope left it at that until they left and met back up with Licorice. Upon getting back together Penelope gave Citron a meaningful look and nodded in Licorice's direction. Smiling all the way towards the square Penelope wasn't all too surprised by what Gunther had found out. "If it's some sort of curse then the person who did it could still be here..." Her expression turned more serious, and her eyes flicked side to side, contemplating the situation. "Indeed, I think it quite possible, especially if they were hurt or sick, that whoever did this may have set up residence somewhere in the town." She followed after Catriona, almost without thinking, as her thoughts were turned elsewhere. After the beaver attack a thought came to Penelope's head. She glanced over at Licorice then, hesitatingly, asked Cora. "There was a woman we saw earlier. She didn't seem to intend any harm. Nor did they seem injured, but have you seen her around here before?" She then described the woman for the villager. "Hm? No, doesn't ring a bell. She could be a traveler I suppose but...I've never seen her." Penelope frowned and grew silent. She gave Licorice a glance and gestured for her to follow and moved a bit away from the group. "Your friend....she wouldn't have done anything would she?" She was disheartened to see the cagey look about the woman. "She wouldn't if they didn't deserve it" Frowning, Penelope responded "If she did I only hope her definition of deserved doesn't differ from my own." "Ah....fiddlesticks. Not another one." Gunther's response to seeing yet another naked animalistic man in the same day was one of exasperated acceptance. "Suppose that means there's some sort of pattern here. I can only imagine this is someone's pet...er, n-not that I mean people have naked humans as pets. Just...you know, a pet that became a person." He waited a moment, expecting Penelope to interject with some obscure and shocking fact about human pets, but he noticed she was off to the side talking to Licorice about something. He was curious as to what they might be talking about but right now he was more curious about the beaver's responses. Cora had called them a name and the beaver had angrily chittered and shook their fist at the woman. It was becoming increasingly natural for Gunther to see these animals as people. It might help that he often was more comfortable with animals in the first place. He wondered briefly how he'd feel once these villagers turned back into human but shook that thought out of his mind. "Do you perhaps know who this...man, is?" Gunther asked the beaver. To his less surprise than he thought he probably should have given the circumstance the beaver responded. By giving a nod, pointing over at the man, and started to make galloping motions. Gunther sighed, closed his eyes a moment, then looked up at the group. "I think that naked man is this beaver's horse." His shoulders slumped. "I'm starting to wonder if I fell asleep at the castle and have been dreaming since."
  5. Aqua Spirit is cute, and pretty, and is water based and I like that element. Was worried when I saw she was against a vampire girl cause those are usually good. Then saw her and was like "Well, she's not too great". Though atm seems she's ahead.
  6. If Warrior Lady of the Wasteland can't get through I can at least try to root for the different dimension version
  7. edited, went a little far : P That being said, I originally was sure I'd vote beat cop but I love the personality Verre gives off.
  8. They're both so adorable whyyyyy Gonna go with the witch because....just slightly edges out in cute.
  9. "Why are we given braces to call mechs if we need to approve Mech Combat first?" The vice principal looked to Malkin for a response. The woman sighed and waved a hand. "Listen, these days who knows when you'll need it. And it's hell of a lot easier to do this than to go to the planet's core every time we need to do some training. But yeah, if it wasn't obvious, misuse these and you'll lose more than the bracelets." --- Kelsey almost laughed at that. It was just so...dramatic. There's no way that this woman was as intense as she sounded. "even the teachers are something different from home," She glanced down at the text and responded immediately. "I dunno, think it's all a big act. Bet it's gonna be just like normal crap once we actually get into the classroom." Looking around she finally spotted where Stella was and, pushing between people, made her way to the girl. "Yo. Worried about the Phys Ed guy?" Before Stella could answer an older boy spoke up. While he wasn't dressed in the school uniform he certainly couldn't be described as casual. With clothes that looked like it came from some kind of custom and expensive designer. "I certainly am." He said, scoffing at Jax. Raising a hand he stepped forward and the crowd seemed to part for him. "Excuse me, Mr....Benton. But this whole 'getting strong' thing? Yeah, I can't really let my body get too muscular. It's just not my image. I'm sure you can understand." Kelsey scoffed. "Who does fancyboy think he is?" A girl nearby gasped as she said that. "You don't know? That's Weston Easton. Only like THE biggest actor in, like, the universe! I can't believe I was standing so near to him...Oh my god do you think I'm breathing air that he breathed out right now?" The girl started to hyperventilate and then fainted on the spot. Jax gave Weston a glowering look. "I don't care about anyone's IMAGE! The IMAGE you want if you're going to be a TRUE PILOT! Should be one of MANLY MUSCLES! Don't worry about a thing 'Mr Benton' here is going to get you in shape. ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!" The student didn't seem to like this response. "I don't think you get it, sir, but my 'shape' is just fine. Isn't that right ladies?" He then turned towards the others and gave a dazzling smile. After which several more girls fainted.
  10. Anyway, I used to like Tour Guide a lot but over time more things I found I've liked more and she sorta fell behind
  11. Someone switched their vote and now I'm sad ? Edit: So anyway. Warrior Lady was actually the first ygo girl that sparked ny interest. Even the classic dmg didn't. Something really cool and pretty about her design.
  12. Would you rather eat something dry that's supposed to be wet or something wet that's supposed to be dry?
  13. Team Showdown, Temple of Time and Space Isole looked to where Taiga vanished. To Scarlet. And back again. She noticed how Scarlet was reacting to the disappearance. Though honestly she wasn't nearly as affected. Something was weird about all this and as far as she could tell Taiga didn't want to die. She may be stupid sometimes but she didn't figure the girl would do that without cause. So, as Scarlet went the other way, Isole shrugged and stepped off the path. "I really hate this place!" "It sucks." Isole agreed. She was standing next to Taiga. Appearing only a moment after Taiga did. Though it took her longer to follow. "I think Scarlet is stuck. Might as well keep going though." The inside of the temple was nearly empty. There were stone columns all around but beyond that there was just a single structure near the middle of the room. Steps that led up to a platform overlooking the area. The floor in that area itself also seemed somewhat different. There were a large amount of massive panels in an almost perfect square. There seemed to be one panel missing and, looking closer, the panels seemed to make up some kind of image that was broken apart. --- As Scarlet went the other way she found that she almost immediately ended up near the opening once more. As she looked out of it it would seem to simple be a window to the outside. Except that what she saw outside of it was....her. And the others. Standing with the elder looking towards the opening. Just like they had been before coming in. Team Mac, Ogren "Or you could've been even slower." "Wanna try it? We could race right now and find out!" Mac declared, before calming down slightly to listen to what Kazo's mom had to say. "Yeah that's right!" Mac said. "He wasn't really all that much though. We totally showed him up didn't we, Ari?" She nudged the boy a bit roughly. "Well, what say you, Mac?" Mac thought about it. "I kinda wanna get going..." Her stomach rumbled at that moment. "But it might be nice to have some food before we go at least. Yeah, let's do that, c'mon everyone time for a break." They went inside and got all settled in while they waited patiently. In Mac's case for only a few seconds before she began bouncing in place. "So. What's for dinner? Is it gonna take a while?" She asked. "Man, I'm starved, aren't you guys hungry too?" Team Neo Not Dark, Merm Palace "We return Phione to her mother, and then..." "We have a picnic?" Phione declared. Hands still holding onto the bubble as they sped through the water. Dora ended up getting a bit dizzy and decided to flop down on the bottom of the bubble. Sinking down slightly as her weight displaced the area of the bubble slightly. "I'm pretty sure looking for him is going to throw me headfirst into this Godslayer business, and I'm sure Brooke wants to stay out of it, for Dora's sake," That caused Dora to speak up. "I wanna help too though!" She said, struggling to roll onto her back in order to look over at Denku. They continued on without much trouble. Despite the soldiers that had been surrounding the area before there didn't seem to be any as far as they could see. Possibly they had been pulled away to stop them from escaping through the other, known, exits. Whatever the case they seemed to have lucked out. Dora's nerves were nonexistent as she began to name all the fish that they passed by on the way. Though it was likely she was making them up as the names were things like "Big squarey fish" and "That weird red fishy". It took some time before anything major changed. And that was when Phione fell backwards. "I'm gonna sleep now." and the bubble stopped its movement entirely. Simply floating there. And then they group saw something approach. Small, with a slight glow around it. A concerned looking woman swam up towards the bubble. She was staring at Phione, barely even paying attention to the others and, wordlessly, entered the bubble and picked the child up. Then she glanced up at the others with a nervous expression and began to back away. Team Karaoke, Alpha "No, I'm the one at fault," "N-no, it was...me." Kayla said softly, blushing slightly. A Legend. She had made a Legend run into her. She was silent and backed away as Shaymin explained everything. Seemingly fading from view. After hearing what the girl had to say Kayla felt a tremor through her body. "Um." She spoke up at last. "I...fought someone...not long ago. He was very strong. Strong enough to destroy a city. I, um, didn't want to fight him." She paused, shivering. "But I had to or he'd hurt...everyone else. S-so, doing it again should be...easy." Gwen let out a sigh of relief as she noticed Shaymin seem to stick around. The Bisharp beside her nodded slightly and looked to relax as well. Though his version of relaxed was much different. "It seems there was nothing to worry about." Gwen said. "For now." Came the response.
  14. Yo if I had space for it I'd have so much crap by now
  15. As the dinner went on Gabby began to feel more and more relaxed about the night. It really seemed like it was going well. She was certain it wouldn't, and certain questions about her "homeland" still made her feel queasy with worry and guilt, but things seemed to be...good. Really good. It was going to be a nice night. She didn't know why she thought this but she just felt it in her bones. As that thought crossed her mind she thought about her deck and the unintentional, if a stretch of one, pun made her giggle slightly on the way to the hall. She noticed Melissa beside her giving a quizzical glance and she shook her head. "No, it's just...bones, skeletons...ah...nothing, nothing, never mind." She should feel embarrassed by the awkward statement but she just felt really good at the moment. Which just caused her to laugh again. "Tonight is a lovely night isn't it?" Upon entering the Maiden Hall Gabby was rather astonished. So much so she let out an audible "Whoa." When she remembered who she was supposed to be she cleared her throat. "T-that is, it's passable I suppose. For such a small gathering." Even so she couldn't keep away the shine in her eyes as she looked around. It was so big! Is this what rich people lived in? She noticed the platforms on the second floor and remembered that a couple of her teammates -or was it clubmates?- were supposed to duel up there to start things off. "Ah, yes, there is to be a battle to commemorate this night. Between two of those lucky enough to share a team with me. We should find a good place to watch. I must show support to those beneath me, yes? And it would be good to see what level of duelist they are." She took Melissa by the hand and led her up to the second floor and to one of the balconies. Only once there did a thought cross her mind. "Ah, but you aren't all that interested in the duel team are you? I did not mean to force my desires upon you. After all I may be of royalty but tonight I am also your companion."
  16. Is there a lot? I think i have 3 i dislike in total
  17. There was a brief moment. As the two gnolls were struck with the ranged weapons. A moment where nothing happened. And then they all, with the two wounded trailing behind, charged. Letting out a chorus of whoops they brandished their shortspears and ran full speed at the group. Keres scrambled, with some difficulty, onto the right most wagon. Wading through the pile of vegetables she managed to get some semblance of balance as the gnolls reached the rest. Ryia and Reinaan would be mere feet from the larger of the groups of gnolls. They would have mere moments to react before the beast-men were upon them. The Water Chosen was more focused on the group of five coming in from the side. They seemed to be moving slower than the others. More carefully. Which made her concerned. Thinking they intended to wait until everyone was dealing with the charge and then coming in from behind. Coming up with a plan on the spot Keres created some water and, instead of launching it at the gnollls, picked up several of the vegetables in the cart and, using the water as a sling, began to throw the vegetables at the group. Slowing them down as they became pummeled by the fresh produce. Over on the other side Geoff gave a laugh and hopped off of his buffalo. Patting the mount he said "Hold, my friend, you can sit out of this one." The buffalo then moved towards the wagon Pyrrha was on and began to eat from it without a care in the world. As the four gnolls closed in he charged right into the group. Not caring as he got semi surrounded. As the gnolls tried to advance he swung his polearm in an arc, forcing them back. Then, with another laugh, rushed forward and slammed the end of his weapon on one of the gnoll's feet. Then, with a circular swing, knocked them off their feet. As one of the gnolls approached from behind and attempted to stab their spear into his back Geoff thrust his polearm backwards and hit the gnoll with the blunt end in the chest, knocking that gnoll off his feet too. Meanwhile the leader of the pack stayed in position. Watching the proceedings with one clawed hand in the matted fur of the beast beneath him. If anyone were to pay attention you would see what looked like a smile on his face.
