  1. To: BishFish From: Jun might be a vending machine around there dunno proud of u for not punching even if theres no one to punch yet but keep to it! Putting her phone away in her pocket, the girl looked over to see how Hiraku was doing, only to be made amused at his very polite, by his standards, manner of speaking. Curious to say where it would go next, the girl continued to look at them before her attention was snapped back to in front of her. Seeing a blond haired boy standing before her, asking about the duel team, the girl smiled brightly at him saying, "it sure is. Here, is where all of your competitive dueling dreams will come true and all it requires is," she pulled a paper and pen from behind her. "A signature of this form right here." “Uhhhhh, sure.” He grabbed a pen off of the table and signed the form without really reading it. “There’s some kind of tryout or something, right?” Looking at the sheet and the name given, also seeing that there was more to fill out then just a signature but not really caring about it at present, Jun tossed it behind her. "Ufufu, how perceptive of you Shiro." Her voice took on a tone not too disimilar to a certain dark princess before going to back to normal. "Well, by signing the form you're pretty much on the team, but we have a trial process where one of the club members duels you to help gauge where you should fit on the team. Since Captain already took the one I wanted to duel," she pouted a bit before perking back up saying, "how about I test you?" Yushiro grinned, now a bit more in his element. “Sure thing. Its Yu-Shiro though. Okay?” He gave her a thumbs up to indicate that he wasn’t mad about it. “So… when and where, Miss Co-Captain?” Grinning widely at being called “Co-Captain” the girl said, “well, why not here and now?”
  2. As the boy stated that he too had no idea where he was going, and only wished to travel along with her, Yuuka merely seemed to think on the matter. Were he telling the truth, Yuuka wasn't quite sure how well a group of four would in passing this, though she could neither give away her current allegiances and she would feel bad leaving a fellow hero to-be off on his own. Thankfully, she didn't need to make a decision about this as the boy made it for her. Attempting to use some kind of light, the girl felt the pins tugging against her shirt as there seemed to be something attempting to push them off of her. Marveling at this, she thought it was quite a neat ability, whatever it was, that fortunately didn't seem to do much. As the boy, Itsuki Watanabe, seemed to double back with his ruse having been figured out Yuuka merely smiled at him. An unnerving smile that held no malice or ill intent despite what he had just done. "I am Itou Yuuka, a pleasure to meet you Watanabe." This greeting was then met with a greeting from someone else, specifically their fist to the boy's head. As Diana had managed to floor the boy in a single strike, Yuuka simply let out a, "ooooh. Impressive." A soft round of applause, later, she looked to her partner, wondering where the other was as well. Taking one of the medals off of her shirt and pocketing them, now realizing how easily they could be pried from her, she listened to Diana's concerns as she gave them. Yuuka found the girl's morals to be admirable here and, though it was the most efficient thing to do, could not simply cause the hero to-be in front of her to go against them. "Well, it is the fastest way to clear here. However, we can leave him be and try to find others. I would recommend taking at least one though, after all, if we didn't at least confiscate something from him it would simply be a random act of violence." And so, without much shame to be had, Yuuka walked over to the downed Itsuki to simply take a single medal off of his person.
  3. It had appeared that the townsfolk's gaze had not gone unnoticed by the others. As Rona asked him if there was something wrong, Leon thought for a moment about what might actually be the case. Looking to Aleithe, he simply put up his hand, as if to dissuade his companion from using their new sword. "I can't think they mean us any harm." Leon stated. After all, they were familiar enough with the people of this town that if they had a problem with the Jourans it would have come up much earlier then now. Looking back to Rona he said, "but you're right. Something does seem wrong." Trying to think more on it he said, "well, I guess we should ask someone to find out." With a bit of unease flowing through the three, they continued to make their way to the local lumber shop. The man who ran the shop there was similar in appearance to the one who ran the blacksmith, though the two swore they were unrelated, and he greeted the group saying, "Falcons! Not often I see you swing by my shop. Roof spring a leak? Part of the old building come falling down?" "No, nothing like that." Though, he wasn't quite sure how long that would be true for. "We've just had a recent addition to our stable so, we need to expand on it a bit." Nodding to himself, as if understanding, "well, I'll get that right to you." He then looked to Aleithe and Rona, before back to the leader saying, "another big one?" Leon nodded. "You and your exotic mounts, I swear." The man left for a bit, before coming back with the wood, setting it down in front of them. "Well, can I get anything else for you?" Looking to Rona he said, "actually. If I could ask you something." The man raised an eyebrow. "The people around town. They've been looking on edge. At us. Do you...?" "Oh, that. I wouldn't pay them any mind." The man waved the comment off. "Apparently a notice from Rastarn has finally circulated its way around here. Something about a 'call to arms' against the 'Jouran menace' that's in our border. Set up a whole bounty for their capture and everything. But well," as he noticed the growing concerns on Leon's face he waved them off saying, "I wouldn't really worry about it anyway. Doubt it could be talking about you, since you've been nothing but helpful. And No one 'round these parts would rat you all out anyway, they're probably just riled up a bit is all. So, anything else I can help you out with?" "Oh it's more than okay with me, sweetie. Sold!" The tall red head patted Yue on the head as she took her money and gave her the broken bow. Turning away from the duo, Anne began to close up her shop again and got ready to cart it along again, as a large look of excitement seemed to be plastered across her face. Looking back to the two, she gave a friendly wave to them saying, "thank you both, for both of your business. I hope the road favors you and we can do business again, and I hope you take excellent care of that bow Snow Flower. Bye!" With that, Anne began to make her way out of town, humming contentedly to herself, as she simply said, "I love foreigners."
  4. Jacklyn was pumped for everyone to get ready for the battle royale. As each of them, one by one, sent out the pokemon they were getting ready to fight with, Jacklyn appeared to be hopping in place in excitement, more so than her actual bunny was. "Alright! If everyone's all set and ready, then let's get this battle royale under way!" Looking to her companion, she said, "alright Rus, who're you looking to go for first?" The stern looking Lepash observed its foes, seeing how the Rockruff was already staring down Po, it in turn moved its focus to the Starly. Giving a short nod to the girl, Jacklyn said, "alright Rus." Pointing towards the Starly and their trainer, Jacklyn said, "then go Rus, and show that Starly some ember!" Letting out a grunt, the Lepash took in a deep breath before letting out a small burst of fire towards the flying-type.
  5. Nine couldn't help but chuckle as Gwen hurriedly rushed away from him. His own enthusiasm about their method of travel clearly present, the joyous smile remained plastered on his face as he looked over to Kayla as she started speaking. It didn't come as much surprise to him that Kayla had stayed put, given her job and choice of company, though he couldn't help but nod at her wish to be able to fly herself. As she wondered about Quincy aloud, Nine couldn't help but chuckle saying, "well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Really," the Houndoom thought back to when they last saw her in Adarid. "I'd be more worried about what she hits then us anyway." Marie grabbed Nani's hand as the Mimikyu helped pull her back to her feet. Groaning at the idea of walking some more, already exhausted, but didn't want to risk being eaten again. And so, with help from her traveling friends, the girl began walking through the arid lands to Trailsau. Days had passed and, though Marie didn't like the ruffians that they came across, ultimately left them to Randy to deal with. Eventually, though, they were able to see their goal over the horizon. The village itself was not the first thing to catch her attention, though. Instead, it was the mountain that towered above it. Marie had heard stories of mountains that spewed flame from them from back home. In fact, she was positive there were even islands, though not the one she was from, that had such mountains on them. Yet, seeing the large spire of rock dripping molten flame down its side was awe inspiring, to say the least, to the young Brionne. Simply opening her mouth and letting out a "woooah," with her eyes wide as she looked at it. The girl continued to make her way towards the volcano, now with more purpose in her step as she looked to the others saying, "come on, guys!" Moving ahead, the girl eventually stopped as they were near the outside of the village, stopping as a rather out of place cottage seemed far removed from the rest of the buildings. Looking to everyone else she asked, "why do you think its here?"
  6. Beginning to stumble towards the final shark, Ryia's eyes widened as she saw the shark sinks its teeth into the halfling. "Gilly!" Try as she might to run over, the girl was slow to begin with and the fatigue that constantly getting into contests of strengths with the sharks had taken its toll on her. Wincing in pain, as her shield arm was not making the trek any easier, she could only watch as the halfling was tossed to the side and the shark was snapped in two. As she finally made her way over to her draken companion she called out, "Reinaan." Making her way closer to him, the girl looked around to see that the field was clear of the sharks now. Looking up, it was clear that the living flames was still alive and fighting atop the rock spire, and that their companions atop were likely still in trouble. "They - they still need our help. But, um," the girl looked to her arm, limp at her side before she moved to start taking the ring off of her finger. "Here," she presented it to the boy saying, "please um, please help them." Looking to Gilly she said, "I'll make sure they're fine."
  7. Jun had gone to lead the way to the duel table, only for sometimes to sit back and watch, with much amusement, when Gabriela had attempted to lead the way herself. Eventually, though, they had managed to get there way to the table. Jun had walked alongside her, chuckling once more as the girl she had recruited gave her grandiose introduction to the captain of the duel team. As the captain called out to Jun, she seemed to pout a bit as she said, "I wanted to be the one to test her out but," smiling she said, "have fun with Captain, Gabby." Looking to Hitomu she said, "don't worry Captain, you can count on me." With a joking salute to the man, the girl moved to take her place, standing next to the table now. After a brief moment girl felt her phone buzz, looking at it to see a text from Kyouko. Looking around, the girl saw on nearby roof the familiar blue hair of her roommate. Smiling and waving the direction, the girl opened up her messages and began to reply. To: BishFish From: Jun yea met her a few days ago she's really funny talks about being a dark princess of something really likes chips too how bout you? what your doing not if you like chips but do you like chips? have you punched that weirdo yet? As Jun was sending messages to her roommate, the girl's ears perked up as she heard someone else at the table ask about the club. Turning around, she saw that the person in question was talking to their main paper worker for the day. Looking at the new girl, Jun listened and looked at her, having an incredible sense of familiarity towards this girl. As she tried to place the name and face together, she merely decided to focus on something she thought was going to be more interesting. With an amused smile on her face, Jun split her attention between actual new people coming to try out and wanting to see how Hiraku would actually explain it to her.
  8. Yuuka continued down the road, now alone as was set by her own plan. She felt neutral about her own plan, thinking it more on the legal gray side of being a hero then actually being good. But, one part of being a hero that she understood was making compromises, and as the others had not had a different idea on the matter, they would have to learn about that now as well. As she walked, the girl hadn't actually cared to ever look back, assuming that her two teammates were trailing behind her at their own pace and not actually giving any indication that she suspected she was being followed as a result. And, it would appear that her random wandering around would be rewarded. A rather languid individual had made his way over to her, asking if she was lost. She had recognized this boy, though only in the sense that she had seen him crowding around the bat girl from earlier, and didn't really have any idea how as a person he was like. Which meant that both the options she could think of were equally likely; he was either here to genuinely help her or quite like herself, he was attempting to spring some kind of a trap on her. Of course, either way didn't particularly matter to the girl and so she merely smiled and said, "well, I'm never one to turn down help from a prospective hero. And, I suppose I don't have much of an idea where anything is here, so yes, I'm lost. Do you know where you're going here?" Her voice was a mixture of being both calm and curious, as she was genuinely curious to see what this boy would say.
  9. Were Yue to pay attention to the merchant girl, she'd notice a sly grin cross her face if only for a moment. "Well, if you're so curious of my wares, I just have to show you now." Turning back around, the girl began to dive into her wares, shuffling through what could only be noted as assorted junk. "See, when you're as prolific a merchant as I, it is no wonder that you might stumble across a few odd or rare objects, foreign to the common wares from a street vendor, in your travels. And there is nothing more exotic that I've found than this!" For as much excitement as had been built up, one would probably be disappointed at the sight of what she had to offer. In her hands was an incredibly old looking wooden bow - or at least what used to be a bow. The string on it seemed to be snapped and the wood rotted, with the grip of the bow looking cracked and like it was about to be snapped in two. "Now, I know what you're thinking. 'Isn't that just a broken bow?' Well, maybe it is.But, I wouldn't just present a decrepit bow to my precious customers for no reason. See, on this bow is a text unreadable to all, and yet, hold it." Anne presented the bow for Yue to hold. Were she to look on the inner part of the bow, she would see writing in a language that she had never seen before. But, upon wielding the bow, the meaning seemed to become crystal clear to her. Without strain, one cannot hope to strike the sun. "Curious isn't it?" Anne seemed to nudge the bow more towards Yue now. "But what could it possibly mean? Well, I haven't the faintest of ideas, but this bow is likely a charm of sorts. Carry it on you and who knows what fortune might be bestowed upon you. And who knows what strange secrets it might hold?" Anne had seemed to be getting really into describing the broken weapon, making a few dramatic hand gestures here and there before saying, "well, how about it? Only 100 gold and this bow of ancient mystery and wonder could be yours. Quite a steal don't you think?" The merchant switched back to friendly, yet eagerly, smiling towards the girl. While Layne and Ada were trying to figure out where their company leader was, they would notice the same looks and mentions every so often from others in town as they moved about. As before, the people did not seem necessarily malicious, their expressions conveying some sense of curiosity and anxiety in them. Furthermore it, wasn't as if everyone in the town was whispering at them, but the small amount that were were enough to become apparent to the duo. As they continued walking around, the duo would eventually hear a "wh-whoa!" This belonged to a familiar looking boy, looking roughly around the same age as the duo, short and with sandy brown hair wearing a cloth outfit that denoted him as a member of the town's local clergy. They would also see him trip and fall on his face, landing with an "o-ow," though it seemed that he tripped more on himself than anything else. Raising his face back up, while he attempted to stand back up, the duo would know this boy as Austin, a local priest of the town. Of course, as Efreaux had no actual proficient staff users, he was more someone who tended and maintained the local church then he was an actual healer. Looking around, he saw the duo saying, "oh, Layne and - " his face went flush as he saw the girl next to him saying, "a-and Ada. Wonderful to - uh - nice seeing both of you...here. You didn't uh...you didn't see me - did you? Uhhh." The incredibly awkward boy seemed more embarrassed than anything else, but then looked back as if he had suddenly remembered something very important. "Right. Layne! You're here. Perfect. I need your help. Well, I don't, but someone else does and I should ask for them. Um, yeah. So uh."
  10. Walking up the seemingly endless staircase, even Xia knew when she needed to rest before such a mighty foe. And so, getting off the staircase and moving onto one of the floors, the girl began her first step into one of the library floors proper. And directly onto something else. As she felt something give way underneath her foot, the girl stared at it for a moment, a bit in awe of the myriad of colors from the wrapper and food that were lying on the floor. Her attention was then caught by something else; a large, strange scaly creature that just walked next to her. Puzzled by this newcomer, Xia then decided to wave at them and greet them. "Oh hello there, um," as she was trying to think of what to call him, her eyes moved over to his conveniently placed name tag. "Janitor! I'm Xia." Janitor, in turn, looked at Xia for a moment, flicking its long tongue out. Its gaze then moved from her to what her foot was over top of. Looking down herself, the girl looked back at the wrapper and then back to Janitor. "Oh, do you want this thing then Janitor?" Janitor then looked at her, nodding while shaking its name tag at her. Taking her foot off, the girl then watched as Janitor flicked his tongue out, devouring the wrapper. Then pulling out a mop, Janitor began to mop the area where her foot was, cleaning it all up. Seeing this, Xia was a bit confused for a moment though soon came to a realization as she recognized the mop. With a bright expression she said, "oh! Are you also a maid?" Janitor seemed surprised, clearly taken aback by this statement, though shook his head. "Oh, then is this something people do at libraries?" "Gotta clean it up somehow." Janitor's voice was low, lacking any kind of enthusiasm and having a sense of sorrow in it. Not bothered by this, however, Xia simply nodded and said, "oh that's true." Looking at Janitor with an opposite amount of enthusiasm that he had, she said, "well, then would you like some help cleaning? It's lots of fun, and sometimes you even meet cats." "There aren't any cats in the library." He paused before adding, "I am fine, it's my job." "Oh, then it must be really important." The girl then looked around, and now in the presence of someone who worked here had decided to ask, "oh yeah, Janitor, do you know what else there is to do in a library. Other than stair climbing of course." "Stair climbing?" He seemed very confused by this. "Libraries are for reading, I guess. And apparently leaving your trash and making me clean it up..." "Reading? Oh, I've never done much of that before. What do people read here?" The creature looked around and said, "everything?" Xia's eyes widen as she seemed to be taken aback by this revelation. "Whoa. Libraries are awesome." Nodding to herself she resolved saying, "i should probably see what this everything is. Thanks a lot Janitor, hope you can clean all the things here!" Waving to him, with a genuine smile and well wishes, the girl went to further explore the library. "Good...luck." As the dragon girl left, Janitor soon went back to his cleaning work.
  11. I don't remember if I ever asked this but what's your favorite DnD class? What's your least favorite DnD class?
  12. Alois felt a strange sense of both amusement and confusion as the woman seemed to be taken aback by his question and declared her various titles at him. He didn't really have any clearer an idea of who she was, but figured that Rausten was a place from Pontus. And given that his only experience with the pontics was either dead people or a man who shouted his faith in bloody murder, L'arachel's strangeness started making more sense to the boy. "Right." He simply stated. "And I'm Alois of Phar, Chopper of Trees and Axer of all things that try to kill me. A pleasure to meet you." His tone was somewhat mocking of hers. As Cat had then come over to talk with her, Alois added, "yeah, and what brings a Holy Peace Smiter like you to the middle of nowhere like this?" It took the Locrisian archer a few moments to get over the strange sense of strength that had washed over her after talking to the Abbot. However, she was able to get her bearings back again as she saw the Pontic and the Abbot discussing the goddess. The girl furrowed her brow, a bit unsure what to make of it all. It was obvious that the Goddess was evil; as far as the archer girl knew she always had been. And the corpses, while difficult to understand, could only have happened because of her. Which, of course made Tsetseg only more confused. The Awakened were evil because the goddess was evil, but they had also helped them which meant they were good, which would mean the goddess was good, but then she wouldn't be evil. And if she wasn't evil then that would mean everyone was a liar, but everyone wouldn't be a liar because they were all good people which meant - Were anyone to look at the young bow woman, it would almost appear as if smoke were pluming out from her brain as she was trying to rationalize it all. Seeming frustrated by it all, the girl let out a small grunt of frustration as she rubbed her hands through her head. "Man, this is so, so confusing. Why would all of them fight each other anyway? They're all Pontics so they should all be family, and family fighting each other doesn't make any sense." As she spoke this out, the girl seemed to realize there was something off - or rather familiar - about what she had just said, but couldn't quite place it. As she thought more on this, the girl merely seemed to go back into a deep, stressful, thinking.
  13. Kiyoko looked from person to person as they all introduced themselves. There was a sense in her already that a large majority of them would be some kind of problematic. Raijin with his anger, Zircon and Tora seemingly unwilling to participate this cause at all, and Leiko with her confusion. There were a few others she was unsure of as well, the Hotaru girl who she could only make out about have of what she was saying, and Jet who seemed to have some sort of a stutter to him. Looking towards Octavia, the girl merely shrugged, about as confused as to what this whole "slumber party" thing was as she was, but didn't speak up beyond that. Soon enough, someone else had appeared in a manner that left Kiyoko more puzzled more than anything. It took her a moment to get over this, looking from the man to the pack that he dropped on the ground, and missing the first bit of what he had actually said. All the same, she seemed to grow more focused as the conversation came back to what they were all here for. She wasn't exactly sure why Blues seemed so apologetic for their participation in Project Crimson, nor did she understand why he wanted to shut it down. But she did know that each one of them was important to stop something from happening. She didn't know what, as they didn't, but she had come onto this project to ensure that people would not be hurt. And she would not allow these "blood ritual" things to continue. As their task seemed clear, Kiyoko was about to say something, when Shannon had spoken up once more. As she made her declaration of how they needed to be more properly compensated, Kiyoko furrowed her brow. "I have an objection." She looked at the girl square in the eyes. "I have no need to be compensated. I'm not really sure what you need a 'billion dollars?'" Her voice had an air of confusion as she said this before continuing, "for anyway. However, I'm fine just knowing that I'll save others from harm. So, I will refuse his offer." The girl seemed to be completely stone faced as she made this declaration of her own.
  14. Leon tilted his head to the side as the girl seemed to wince in the middle of her speaking but didn't make much more of it. Looking at the groceries in hand he looked to Rona saying, "well, this should keep us good for the next few days." Were Rona to look she would see that, quite like most times Leon was left to doing the grocery shopping the food in hand was more on the minimalist side. "I suppose we also need some wood to patch up the base a bit." There was also the issue of Gojira beginning to crowd the run down stable that was not at all designed for any of the animals currently occupying it. Before he could answer her next set of questions, the duo was interrupted as Aleithe had made their way over. "Oh, hello Aleithe. We were just about to go get some boards and lumber." Looking back to Rona he said, "don't worry about the expenses for it though." While Leon didn't necessarily enjoy spending money, he felt even worse about having to force the others to buy things that were just for the general use of the company. As the trio walked through town, quite like Ada and Layne had, they would notice a person or two every so often looking towards them, or whispering to another. They seemed more curious then malicious, a look much different then the usual townsfolk across Aeora, but didn't actually make the effort to approach them. Leon had noticed, but wasn't exactly willing to engage in the conversation either. Passing by other shops, such as a book store and clothing store, Leon simply said, "oh, feel free to get anything else you want while we're here." Anne shelved away the gold she had just obtained, perking up more as Raynor directed the small Yonan girl's attention towards her. With a smile on her face, the girl began rubbing her hands together as she turned to face the young lady. "Yes, please, feel free to browse my wares all you want. I'm sure a beautiful young lady like yourself has shopping needs as well. After all, I'm sure a girl like you loves a good book or two," the girl gestured towards the set of anima tomes that were lined up in her cart. "Of course, if you're into the more mysterious and esoteric kind of things, well, I might have just the item for you." With a coy smile on her face, she looked towards Yue expectantly.
  15. Jacklyn smiled as Kanon returned her greeting, with Cherry giving a wave herself towards the girl. The girl's excitement only seemed to bubble over more as she heard that they were about to start their departure, barely able to contain herself at the prospect of their adventure truly getting underway...again. She then turned over to Ivan as he made a suggestion, saying, "oooh, that's a great idea Ivan! Training is way more fun with more people after all." As Kanon said battle royale, Jacklyn merely echoed, "Battle Royale! It's a shame Belle isn't up here for this, but you snooze you lose." Nodding to herself, Jacklyn walked over to one side of the ship, looking to Cherry saying, "I should probably give you a rest for now. So you can watch Cherry. Rus," the girl opened her other pokeball, sending the Lepash out of it. Inching away from the side of the boat, the flaming bunny looked to the new people as Jacklyn said, "well, you guys wanna? Eh, eh?" She looked expectently towards Kanon and the boy with her.
  16. Nine was grinning as they had gotten into the basket. He had only ever used Quincy's service to deliver mail before, and so this experience was as new for him as it was everyone else. Sitting in the back, Nine looked to Kayla, grabbing onto the edge at her behest. As Quincy gave her debriefing on what it was she actually did, Nine felt the wind around him rush at unbelievable speeds as the Dragonite bolted through the sky. Nine could barely tell where he actually was due to the speed, only having his position reaffirmed by the sudden weight of the ghost girl being shoved into him. Holding tighter onto the edge, Nine managed to finally catch his breath as they moved to a steadier pace. A wide smile on his face, his hair windswept far out of its normal resting place, Nine seemed to be having the time of his life. As Gwendoline scolded him, Nine couldn't help but chuckle and say, "and miss out on this?" His smile turned into more of a grin, noting how close both he and Gwen were to each other. While he thought she wouldn't be amused by this he merely said, "sorry, sorry.' Looking over to Lok he called to him, saying, "you said it. Man, I never would've imagined when I set out I'd be able to fly through the clouds like this one day. Makes you wonder what it's like to be able to fly all the time, right?" Looking over to Kayla he asked, "have you ever taken this kind of ride before?" Seeing the Skuntank lunge towards her, Marie was powerless to avoid the attack. Both the poison running through her and the damage the other cannibals had already inflicted were beginning to take its toll on her, and she was hardly able to move out of the way of the attack. However, as the Skuntank's body seemed to seize up, the fright that ran through the girl seemed to recognize that flight was impossible. And so, as both her body and necklace started to shimmer with a blue glow, the girl unleashed a powerful torrent of water out of her mouth, shouting as she did so and striking the Skuntank dead on. The force of the water, pushing against the cannibal's chest, forced it off its feat and knocked it onto the ground, knocking it out. "Huh?" Marie, surprised at the strength of her own water gun, before realizing that she didn't have much strength in her legs left. Falling backwards, the girl merely hit the ground with an, "ow." Trying to catch her breath, the girl merely lay there, saying, "I don't think we should sleep here."
  17. Kiyoko watched the others trail in one by one, her generally neutral expression not changing much as some of them had made their introductions. She wasn't sure what to make of some of them, being off put by some's reluctance and being caught off guard by one's exuberance. She didn't respond in kind when some introduced themselves, and merely kept to herself, listening as the white haired man began to introduce them. Similarly, she was off put by this man and his own demeanor, not being akin to any of the scientists or handler that she had had for the past few years. She looked to each of her new colleagues as the man introduced them both by name and the marks they bore, though seemed a bit skeptical at the man, Mr. E., referring to himself as their new handler. She had learned from her own that there was generally more to a person then they appeared but this man was certainly on the...eccentric side. Raising an eyebrow at the term "slumber party," the girl didn't really know what sleeping had to do with their current objective but had a feeling that asking wasn't going to get her very far. Looking to her new colleagues, the exuberant one began to speak up first introducing herself. She didn't really get what she meant by saying that they were "family" as Kiyoko was fairly certain this was not how families worked, but decided to follow Shannon's template for introduction. "I am Kiyoko Matsumoto. Bearer of the Tail Mark. I don't think it really signifies anything." She felt awkward leaving it at that, pausing for a moment before spouting, "but it's on the end opposite of the head." Trivia. "I am from Turbo City. And my Duel Dragon is Michael." The girl pulled her card out and presented it to the rest of the group. Looking from side to side at the others she simply nodded her head, repeating what others did at the end of their intros. "I look forward to working together with you all."
  18. As Yuuka made her way through the cityscape, she was a bit marveled by how much budget the school had, to be able to set up a course of this magnitude. And for their entrance exam no less! The girl felt as though she had made the correct choice to have enrolled here, and couldn't wait to see what else the school had to offer. Oh. But first she had to pass. That was a bit of an issue. Yuuka didn't think of herself as the greatest of trackers or metal detectors, nor was she particularly adept at urban exploration. Beyond that, her quirk was far more suited to dealing with people and offered her no help in those two things she already had trouble in. "Well, I suppose this is a test for heroes." It was only natural that it was not a test built with her in mind. As she continued walking through the city, simply looking from place to place, her ears perked up at a collection of strange noises. Looking to the alleyway, the girl began to move towards the sound, being able to make the sounds out as something resembling murmuring voices. As she got to the edge of the alleyway, she pressed herself against the wall, peering through to see a sight that brought some amusement to her. There appeared to be two mannequin-like figures "speaking" to each other with one of them holding out a bag that clearly had "illegal drugs" written on it. Studying the two, it appeared that they weren't actually moving, though there appeared to be pistols attached to one of their hips. Yuuka wasn't quite sure how capable the mannequins were at actually using their guns, nor was she sure how lethal their bullets were, but she didn't feel like it was a good idea to test either of them. Pondering for a moment, Yuuka tried to figure out what to do about them. Her quirk useless against mechanical enemies, and it wasn't like it was terribly useful against someone who could just shoot her anyway. While it was probably just best to let this be, this illicit deal was likely placed here for a reason, and so Yuuka had to figure out a way through this ordeal. She studied the alley, seeing a few plastic trash containers, trash bags and a dumpster littering it. With quick thinking, the girl reached into the alley, quickly nabbing a plastic trash container that was just at the edge. Readying herself, the girl moved towards the alley, throwing the container towards the dumpster. As it hit, the sudden sound of the stricken dumpster echoed throughout the alley and forced the mannequins to turn, their attention now on it. Running into the alley, the girl picked up another of the plastic trash containers and tossed it at the mannequin with both the gun and the "drugs," striking it from behind and knocking it off its feet. The other one didn't seem to do anything in response, while the dangerous one of the two seemed to just be struggling to get back to its feet in a very slow and mechanical way. Continuing her run, the girl merely picked up the bag of "drugs," having a bit more difficulty then she was expecting as the bag seemed to weigh far more than it appeared. Bolting before the dangerous one could get back to its feet, the girl ran for a few blocks, unsure if the two mannequins were built to pursue or not, until she felt safe. Looking at the heavy bag, the girl opened to it, seeing that it was filled with what appeared to be flower. Flipping it upside down, the girl emptied the contents of the bag onto the ground, a badge falling out with it. "Oh, lucky me." With a cheery look on her face, the girl happily picked the badge up and pocketed, feeling the weight of the two badges start to pull down on her. Walking around, it didn't take long for something new to catch the girl's attention. Seeing the blonde haired justice girl from before, introducing herself to the girl. As she made her offer to team up, Yuuka's smile seemed to only grow, and even more so as the boy from before had come over to join them. "Well, I'd love to work with the both of you to solve this exam." The boy then asked her if she had any ideas on how their group would be able to hit it big in badges and the girl started to ponder to herself for a moment. It was true, while they would have no trouble solving the situations to get the badges now, the situations themselves would only grow more sparse. The likelihood of all three passing would be slim to none. As she pondered for a moment longer, her eyes flickered as she remembered something. The girl who went first, Misu, had asked a question about violence. Looking to the group, she began to explain, "the best source of badges would be other participants, after all, we all start with at least one and are collecting them here. Of course, it's not very hero like to use violence to fight and steal from others." Her calm smile seemed to form into a small smirk as she said, "which is why we'll punish those who try that very thing." "If we keep wondering around, we're bound to find others soon enough, and if they want to fight us then we'll simply meet their challenge and take their badges from them. After all, officers take the possessions off of criminals all the time, so it's still within the lines of a hero's duty." She looked to the other two, saying, "of course, if we travel as a unit then no one will want to fight all three of us at once. So, we need to have someone act as bait, while the other two trail behind and wait for them to be attacked. Of course, I volunteer myself, as the two of you certainly have a more threatening look to you than I. Oh, and if you think you can find another badge while trailing me, please, don't hesitate to." Taking out both of her badges and pinning them to her shirt, making them stand out far more now, the girl clapped her hands together with the same calm smile as she from before, saying, "does this sound good?"
  19. Knock, knock, knock. The sound of the rapping on a door could be heard echoing outward. A man with short black hair stood outside the door, sighing. Knock, knock, knock. With reluctance he grabbed the door's handle and said, "alright, alright already. I get it." As the door was opened, the man was greeted with the sight of a girl, at about the same height as the man with long blonde hair, standing there. A slight look of impatience on her face, the girl lowered her hand, which looked ready for another round of knocking, and stated, "you're late." Looking at his watch, the clearly tired handler merely looked back to the girl mumbling, "no, you just get up way too early. Seriously, it should be illegal to have to come in this early." The girl's eyes narrowed into a glare as he merely waved her off. "Right, sorry. But, today's your big day so, are you ready?" Looking to the mark on her arm and then looking back she nodded. "There's nothing more to prepare." With a faint grin on his face the man said, "well spoken. Let's get going." The two had spent the next hour or two in the car together, merely driving through Domino City en route to their next location. Most of the time was spent in silence, with Kiyoko looking out the car window taking in all the sights of the city around her. The people bustling around sidewalks and streets, the tall buildings that stretched high into the sky and the other cars that seemed to stretch on as infinitely as the road before them did. The girl looked at it all strangely, unsure of what to make of what felt like an entirely alien world to her. Furrowing her brow she simply asked, "hey. What is Project Crimson?" "Dunno." The man answered, the same as he had every time asked this question prior. And just like every other time, Kiyoko still couldn't tell how truthful he actually was. "However," her eyes shifted to the man. "Today you'll meet someone who does know." Curious, before Kiyoko could ask another question the handler spoke again. "Take a look outside kiddo, don't get this kind of view everyday." As he chuckled at his own joke, Kiyoko turned to look, with her eyes going wide at the side of the sea expanding in either direction as they crossed the Daedalus Bridge. "Amazing..." she muttered. As she continued to look, her eyes went from wonder to something more troubled. "Hey..." "Hm?" "...Nothing." "And here we are." The man had parked the car next to an old, run down building in a less populated area of the city. Getting out of the car, Kiyoko felt strangely more at ease here and began to walk towards the door of the building. Turning back to face her handler, who hadn't actually left the car and bowed towards him. "Thank you for all you've done these past few years." Being unable to hold back a small laugh at this unexpected gesture, the man simply said, "what are you an idiot? Most people wouldn't be thankful for this." Kiyoko stood back straight, though her expression didn't seem to have changed from it usual neutral state. Waving her off, he said, "well, good luck in there kid." With one final nod, the girl walked into the abandoned prison before her. Walking inside, the girl made her way forward until she was greeted with the sight of a few others already sitting at a round table for ten and a man with snow white hair sitting around. The girl looked at the man, both strangely dressed and with a strangely cheery demeanor to him that off put Kiyoko. Though, she didn't do much more than nod when he announced her to the room as Kiyoko and the bearer of the tail mark. Due to her shirt not having any sleeves, the others in the room would be able to confirm this themselves, as the brand shown clearly on her left arm. The girl looked at the others, giving only a nod of acknowledgement before taking her seat.
  20. Seeing the shark come around for yet another strike, Ryia braced herself as she had many times before. As the shark head opened its maw to bite down on her, Ryia stepped to the side, smashing her shield into the side of its head and stepping back away from it. As this happened, though, the head started to circle around her, coiling the spine it was attached to around her feet. Already being trapped by this, the girl went to smash at the shark's spine, her mace giving a heavy thud against the bone as it chipped from her strike. However, with her feet all tangled up, the shark soon wrenched her up and forced her to fall onto the ground below. With a heavy thud the girl landed as the shark's head, maw open and ready to chop at her, came straight at her only for Ryia to interpose her shield between her torso and the literal jaws of death. With the shield placed vertically in its mouth, forcing it open, the girl could start to feel the weight of the shark pressuring her arm as she constantly had to press back against it. This was only made harder as the spine began to retract back towards its starting position, dragging the grappled girl with it. Tightening the grip around her mace, the girl swung with it around to the back of the shark's head, once more striking the cracked part of the spine and causing the crack to become larger. Before she could strike at it again, the spine had made its way back under ground, with the the girl now grappled with only the head moving towards her to chomp down. Frustration evident on her face, the girl grunted as she continued to push her shield back against the monster's mouth. With the force of the shark's mouth beginning to clamp down, the shield began to give way to its strength as the metal began to bend. Needing to get out of this bind, with great strength the girl gave one final push with her shield before pulling back and smashing at the side of the shark's head with both her mace and shield. Shoving the face to the side, and the mouth away from her, the shark then uncoiled around her with great speed and launched her away. Smashing into the ground once more, the girl coughed as she tried to get the sand out of her face and stand back up. Seeing the shark trying to right itself once more, the girl merely backed away from it to wait for it to come to her. Once it seemed to regain its orientation, the shark launched its head towards the shield bearer once more, mouth open and ready to bite down on her once more. With ragged breath, the girl decided rather than dodge the problem, she would merely take it head on this time. As the head charged her, the girl bent down to be underneath it, shoving her shield up and uppercutting the shark's head. Stopping the force of the shark's charge and pushing it upward, the girl heard a resounding snapping noise come from her shield arm as she let out a roar of both anger and pain, shoving the shark's head away. With a clear target on the shark's spine, now right in her face, with one mighty swing the girl brought down her mace for one final time against the shark's spine, shattering the bone. With the rest of the trailing bone falling to the ground, the head simply fell and rolled across the sand, twitching a bit as it stopped. Walking over to it, Ryia lifted her mace up and with one final swing, struck at the head. With the fight finished the girl looked elsewhere. Her hair was a mess, both all over the place and covered in sand. Her armor had a chunk of it missing with dents all over. Both her mace and shield had been bent, with her shield arm merely hanging limp at her side. Feeling fatigued from the whole ordeal thus far, Ryia simply wanted to sit down and rest. But, seeing the clear flaming entity atop the rock formation, and the shark still engaged with Gilly, she knew her job wasn't done yet. With her legs feeling as though they were a blaze and her breath heavy, the girl started making her way slowly to the halfling to assist her.
  21. Leon had been merely, wandering around the town when he had dismissed everyone, getting a few groceries here and there to help keep their pantry stocked. Once that brief excrusion was over, he then tried to think of if he had needed to purchase anything else. It was at this point he was reminded of what had happened in the last fight, and decided to check on his own blades. Looking at his own weapons to see that one of his swords seemed to be cracked and chipped here and there. Though he still had one unused sword, he had just chastised Rona to be sure to have two to make sure that she wouldn't find herself without in the heat of combat. Not wanting to needlessly buy a sword, but also not wanting to be a hypocrite to the girl, he had decided to go and check out the blacksmith himself. Once in there, he looked around and saw that there was a familiar face that had already gone ahead. "Oh, hello Rona." As he gave a small wave towards her, the Blacksmith smiled saying, "well, speak of the dragon himself." Leon raised an eyebrow before the man continued, "let me guess, you've snapped all your blades too?" Diverting his eyes from the man, Leon said, "not...all of them." Letting out a hearty laugh he then said, "well, why don't I offer you the same thing I did the young lady here." He pointed to Rona. "Got a whole load of steel so, why don't I go fetch a blade to match her axe for you?" Putting his hand to his chin, trying to figure out if he had the funds to spare for this. It wasn't as though they had all that much money to spend and beyond that, the base back home always seemed to be empty as soon as it was filled. Though, the steel was stronger and thus, he'd probably have to buy less of them if it took him less swings to bring down an enemy with it. Eventually rationalizing this purchase, Leon looked to the man and said, "alright." "Great choice! Hold on a moment while I get you two your weapons." Moving to his weapons rack, it seemed that he had a large collection of steel weapons, relatively recent off the forge lying around and grabbing them both, gave it to the duo of Falcons. Getting Rona her other axe, the two paid for their weapons and said, "now you two be sure to treat these with the respect they deserve, and don't feel scared to come back for more." Nodding, Leon began to head out of the shop, looking to the girl asking, "so, was there anything else you wanted to do today?" "Just my luck to come to a town with no healers or mages. Well, at least they didn't call me a 'heathen' like the last place did." A woman with long scarlet hair that stretched well across her back seemed to be mumbling to herself as she walked alongside her horse drawn carriage of goods. Seeming upset, she said, "and two customers is not what I'd call worth the trip. I wonder if I should just pack up already and -" her mumbling was cut off as she saw something completely out of the ordinary. A small Yonan woman. A Jouran man with a large reptilian mount, and a woman? - man? - person who had a dignified look to them. The woman had a sly grin form on her face if only for a moment as she said, "foreigners." Walking with purpose towards them, with bright smile on her face she said, "hello there travelers from distant lands!" Were they to look at her, it would be impossible to tell what ethnicity she actually was and the manner of her dress did not help answer questions either. "I too am a traveler, so I know that you must long to see exotic goods but also pine for those that remind you of home. Well fear not weary travelers, for Anne's Shop of Assorted Goods, Books and Trinkets, all sales final and non-refundable, is just the place for you? Well, well?" She rubbed her hands together as she looked eagerly at the group. Meanwhile, as Ada and Layne were enjoying their food at the inn they would notice a few words thrown about in the murmurs and conversations of other patrons. The most key one being "Jouran" and "Falcons" with a few glances being thrown the way of the duo here and there.
  22. "Heheheh," the girl chuckled, a smirk on her face as she looked at her foe before her. "A worthy opponent you turned out to be, however! We won't be beat just y-" as Jacklyn was emphatically pointing towards Ivan, she was interrupted by the greetings of others coming up onto the boat as well. Looking at them, a young man in a suit and a smaller blue haired girl Jacklyn seemed to just smile at them and wave saying, "oh, hey there!" As the girl of the duo introduced herself, Jacklyn walked over and said, "nice to meet you Kanon, I'm Jacklyn. Oh," she pointed to the, previously battling, Buneary saying, "and she's Cherry." "Bu!" The Buneary hopped up, waving one of its ears at the group as it was introduced. As she looked at the two, her eyes lit up even more as she said, "oh wait, are you guys also adventurers? That makes this even better! Right Ivan?" She called back to her traveling companion, before sticking out her hand to shake, really towards either but it was closer to Kanon. "Then it's even more a pleasure to meet you guys!"
  23. Waking up in the morning, Xia felt a bit unsteady on her feet for some reason but managed to shake it off rather quickly. Getting up, the girl was a bit confused by the first part of what Mauvache was saying but grew more excited as it became clear that she now could do whatever fun she wanted to get to today. The girl was a bit bummed that she wasn't able to fight anyone today, having had a lots of fun with the other fighters these past few days. Though she was looking forward to more of such fun, she instead brightened up at the idea at being able to do whatever she wanted to. Getting out of bed, the dragon girl began to make her way out of the building, trying to figure out how she was going to go and spend her day. Exiting, the girl was presented with the task of where to go next. There were any number of places that she could go to, what with how many that she had already visited and all the people she would love to see again. But there was one that stuck out in particular to her. Nodding to herself, the girl realized that she still had yet to conquer her greatest of challenges, nor any of the challenges that were likely surrounding it. As she made her way through the streets of the city, the girl was of course talking about the place that ascended infinitely; the library. Making her way inside again, this time the girl had elected to go and begin her climb up the stairs, though seeing this time that there was far more to the building then just the stairs, decided to wander around here and there as she made her climb upward.
