  1. Kenta nor the Machop seemed all to worried about the Peck attack. Even as the Machop got beaten down, clearly low health, neither of them gave in. In fact they just seemed more determined than ever to win this fight. And as Kenta called for another Karate Chop the Machop dove into the air and brought the hand down and managed to bypass the reflect and land a critical strike right to the forehead of the Inkay. "Why are you so interested in this region, by the way?" "What? Huh? Whatcha asking me that for? It's uhh...you know, that." Kenta said, scratching his cheek. "It's a whole new world we live in ya know. It's a whole new way to see. A whole new place, with a brand new attitude....right, Chad? That's what you said right?" Off to the side Chad rolled his eyes. "You're getting confused with that stupid idol, I never said anything like that." "Oh yeah!....Sorry, I don't really know, I just thought it'd be fun?" ----- "Tsk, dammit Kenta..." Chad muttered as Oswald made his swap. "Didn't think he'd pull a double so quick." The Ducklett took the majorly effective move and fell to the ground. Though it wasn't out quite yet. "I could return but...no, no time for that. Don't want to take a hit going in. Ducklett, Wing Attack!" Chad called out. The Water bird took back up to the air and started to fly in Archie's direction. Wings glowing with energy. Before reaching the Mareep, and to avoid any attack, Chad called for the Ducklett to pull up. And, once it reached its peak, "Now Water Gun!" the Ducklett shot out a jet of water at the sheep Pokemon. "Gotta do as much damage as you can before you go down, keep it up!" Chad ordered the Ducklett. --- Naomi, without much to do, decided to flop to the side and rest her head on the grass nearby. She watched the others without really seeing them. Gazing off into the distance. Though, while it seemed she was up to her usual, she was actually thinking. She had wanted to win that fight. It was a weird feeling. And it didn't help her win. But...she had the strangest feeling that she was starting to understand something. Fuyumi for her part moved with elegance and purpose. Putting herself behind Chad as she watched the fight going on like a hawk. Observing Archie and the Ducklett's every move. And even turning her cold gaze to Oswald himself as he called out moves.
  2. Cora wasn't sure where to look. She could tell some of the people were being somewhat...shady. There was that girl that she could only see part of her through the window. What was she doing over there? Then there was that guy talking about a locked door. Someone was heading upstairs...Why did the mayor have to have such a large house? She had no way to keep an eye on everything with things as they were. With a sigh, overwhelmed, Cora just sat down at the table. Acantha made her way towards the girl and Cora let a small smile grace her lips. "Do you think the mayor will be upset if his things go missing while we're watching?" She inquired. Though it seemed that the beaver was asking something. Assuming it had to be about what she found, Cora gestured under the table at the scratch marks. "He wants us to know something but I haven't the slightest idea what. I just wish I could see the whole picture. It feels like I'm missing so much." She placed an elbow on the table and rest her check on her hand. "I only have two eyes." She grumbled. Noticing the boy who she had yelled at before nearby she turned her gaze to him. He was oddly calm about having gotten shouted at. Was he alright? "Good work Tsetseg. And everyone else. Keep it up. Surely there's something here. There are too many things partially hidden to be a coincidence." When Adelaide mentioned going upstairs, and Catriona suggested someone go with, Penelope offered...for Gunther to go with. She knew that he must be feeling out of sorts and if she was going to send anyone off into the unknown there was no one she thought could do it better than the young Knight. She hadn't been surprised that Catriona wasn't able to discern anything else from the parchment. She was the strongest person Penelope knew but the younger princess was confident if she couldn't figure it out then no one else could. "It must be part of a whole...there has to be more hidden around here." Penelope said as she made her way towards the middle of the room. Spying the bookshelf her eyes lit up and she made a beeline for it. Of course, if one of these books had held a secret, surely... She completely ignored Citron as she started taking books out. Reading the titles, skimming through them, and dropping them to the side. Again, and again, if she didn't find anything right away she'd keep going. Perfectly fine with looking through each and every book and setting it to the side until the bookshelf was completely bare. "I know some of these books." Penelope said as she examined them. "Didn't expect to find them here. He was very intent on learning how to govern well for someone in such a small village. I wonder what kind of man he is...I hope I get to talk with him once this is all settled." Gunther leapt at the suggestion to go upstairs. He wasn't really doing much down here and it was, frankly, embarrassing to be standing around doing nothing. So he made his way to the stairs and, giving Adelaide a smile, went ahead of her. If there was someone hiding up there it would be best for them to meet his armored body before hers. As it turned out the upstairs was smaller. Though there was still many things to search. "I remember one time Penelope had hidden something of Catriona's in her room. She ended up forgetting where she put it and we had to spend the day searching every nook and cranny. I'm just glad this room is smaller." That's when he noticed the scratched up desk. Clearly something suspicious compared to the rather well kept room Gunther made his way towards it. Documents. Some torn pages. Suspicious indeed. "Penelope would be livid if I didn't read through these. Books and writings hold all the information in the world, according to her." And so he read through some that stood out. He blushed a bit as he realized part of it was about Alois. It seemed he wasn't very liked by the mayor. Though it seems Cora was a friend to him. That was likely why the girl, who seemed so wound tight, even thought to help them. They really owed Alois for that... Mother? Hm. It seemed obvious but of course Alois would have at least one parent here. Was he worried about her? It would be rude to ask but...shouldn't he make sure Alois was doing fine? He felt like he was doing him a disservice being so focused on this mystery without even talking to him about things. And what was this about a trial? This whole village was starting to feel...off. They kept to themselves almost like a cult and then there was this business? Caller, Awakening, what was this madness? Gunther was starting to feel nervous. It wasn't quite like how Goddess followers talked, and there was how Cora reacted earlier to the suggestion, but then why... He shook his head and moved on to the torn out pages. It was as they had guessed. An old crone had appeared and been turned away. Then this...curse had happened. "Jumbled letters town hall." Gunther said out loud. He then explained to Adelaide what he had found in the last two pages. "It mentions the town hall, could this...old crone be there? Do you suppose those letters that Penelope found have something to do with this?"
  3. "Phew, just made it... We've got more coming in from both sides Rona, it looks like the new girl there got separated from us, maybe try to get her to come back over towards the main group so we're together. Gotta run!" Why was Layne giving her orders? She only took orders from Leon. And those orders didn't include bringing Alexis back to the rest of them. In fact from what Rona saw the girl was showing her up. Forging ahead of the rest of them while she was stuck back here being useless. Her head whipped to the side as she heard Leon shout for Raynor. Seeing the man go down shocked her for a moment but after that it was back to business. Warriors fell all the time. They had to keep going. If he fell it just meant he wasn't strong enough. But then what was this cold feeling? "keeping pressing forward to the phantom!" There it was. The order. Good. She could focus on that. It was all that mattered. She didn't like leaving Leon behind but going against his order would be even worse. She flew Cormag over Edda's head and made a quick turn into a dive bomb. Swinging down her axe to take the head off the zombie attacking Edda. "We can't stop!" She said. "If anyone falls behind they just have to push forward." "Huh, well that was rude." Alexis said as the zombie ignored her to go off after Edda. That girl...she was doing something she hadn't seen before. Was that what the energy of the group was coming from? Either way it meant that Alexis was freed up to continue. She considered going back to help the others but that would leave her in a bad spot to be counter attacked. While it was risky she had to take down that archer before either her or that Wyvern girl was shot down. "Alright Tana, you ready for a risky one? We gotta make this quick girl." Tana flew along the treeline and shot forward until suddenly taking a sharp turn and darting to the left. Lance at her side Alexis thrust forward and pinned the archer to the tree behind it. The creature squirmed and thrashed, trying to reach Alexis, and was clearly still alive. So Alexis yanked her lance back and drove it back into the zombie's chest. Then finally the archer stopped moving. She glanced over towards the axe wielder that was near the archer. She could only hope that this one decided to ignore her too. Moving across from it and settling near the edge of the treeline.
  4. Do you like any other fighting games besides Smash?
  5. Morgan tap tap tapped away. Her fingernails making a hectic rhythm on the table as she waited. Rather impatiently. What was taking her? Ross better not be making Morgan wait. She sent the directions right? The witch checked her watch. Yep. So what was taking so long? How dare she make someone as important as HER wait like this? She didn't notice the clerk watching with a smile as she fidgeted in her seat. Finally Ross made it there and Morgan sat up straighter and stopped tapping away at the table. She still kept the pout on her face, however. "Hey there, I've had a crazy morning so far. How about you?" "It was fine except somebody decided to take their sweet time coming here. Did you get lost or something?" Morgan blew a strand of hair indignantly away from her face and crossed her arms. The clerk, who had approached with another drink for Morgan, giggled. "I didn't realize you were waiting on a boyfriend. I should have known though. So, sir, what would...Oh. Oh excuse me, so sorry miss!" The clerk blushed and shook her head. "I must be out of it today of course, you're not a boy, ahaha...um, well...so that one's on the house, sorry." With that she, embarrassed, wandered off before getting Ross's order and started wiping down the already spotless counter. Morgan smirked. "Yeah, what do you want, sir?" She teased, clearly missing the other misunderstanding the clerk had mentioned. As the day continued the matches were set up. Leaving Gavin with the message indicating that he can sit the day out or have a "local" challenger for the day. Mauvache's solution to the awkward number of fighters currently in the arena roster. Once decided the matches were set and the fighters would be able to make their way to the virtual battlefield rooms at their leisure, provided they didn't do their fights too late, and provided that they didn't try to all go in at once. OOC (everyone)
  6. Malkin watched as two of the students went off on foot. "So uh. Should someone stop them?" She suggested halfheartedly. The vice principal shook her head. "Let them learn from their mistakes. Anyway, time to head back students! Your first class begins in the morning. Try not to cause any problems. You've only been here for a day." The words weren't specifically directed at anyone but it would be clear who may have been the primary targets. --- "If you can't measure up to the school standards, dive off the rocks and don't come back. Otherwise, pull the silver out of your teeth and quit grandstanding. Nobody came here to deal with your crap, least of all the people actually committed to making a difference in the world." The glares of the female students turned towards Kansuke. Weston glanced over at him and gave a single, short, laugh. He walked up to the other boy with one hand in his pocket and the other waving absently. Almost as though he were waving off a fly. "Oh? And what's this now? A difference you say." He smirked and put a hand over his mouth. "Oh my, how incredible. Care to tell me what kind of difference you've made so far? I'll be happy to hear what kind of difference you made slumming around in the gutters. Hate to break it to you like this but you should direct that uncouth behavior to someone who isn't in a prime position to make a difference. Like, say, yourself? Talk is cheap, friend, and nothing in this world comes free you know. But I guess it makes you sleep better at night thinking you can actually do something." He started stepping closer when a short, horned, girl gave a small cough. "Everyone's getting back on the transport." She said before turning away and walking back with the rest towards said transport. "Ah, well, suppose I should go with my lovely roommate shouldn't I? Guess we'll have to chat more later." Weston said. The glares of the female students seemed to be split between Kansuke and this "rommate" of Weston's. Though for her part the girl kept her head held high and simply stared straight ahead as they boarded the transport. --- "It will be fun to see you behind the cockpit again." "Maybe I'll get a chance to really let loose." Afterwards Vivian asked Stella something and Kelsey found herself grow distracted. "well, it's our last free day before school starts. So we should probably get going and um...do something...like...get ready for school! I'm sure there's an office supply store somewhere, right?" Kelsey had been zoning out as the conversation went on. She was watching the almost fight going on between the actor and...some other guy. Her hand, the flesh and blood one, twitched as she watched. The urge to get in the scrap rising as the two exchanged words. She wasn't sure who she wanted to get in with but the desire was there. She glanced over at Stella. "Ah, yeah, sure, sounds good to me." She said. She didn't actually know what Stella was suggesting but whatever she said was probably something Kelsey would want, or should, do anyway. She followed the other two to the transport. "Let's go do the thing. We got the whole day ahead of us after all." --- The transport then brought the students back. Racing past both Sammi and Erica who had decided to travel by foot.
  7. "Take Over" hm? Well, if you insist...
  8. Team Showdown, Temple of Time and Space "This might sound dumb...but my gut's tellin' me to wait here." "Hopefully time doesn't take too long." Isole relaxed as they said that. She leaned up against the side of the wall and rested there. "I was getting tired of moving around like this anyway." And so they waited. And waited. And waited some more. "So...nice weather we're having." Isole said sarcastically, breaking the silence. A few moments later something happened. The stairs began to shift. Moving in front and behind them to form a single, flat, plain. As it did so they could see the end of the former stairs. A large, stone, doorway. No carvings. Nothing special about it at all. A pair of steel rings were attached which seemed to be there to help open the doors up. And, once the doors opened, it revealed a large hall. Torches lined the walls and the ceiling was supported by a multitude of thick stone pillars. The middle of the room contained a long table. And on either side of the table were various Gijinka. At first glance they seemed to resemble a type of Gijinka known nowadays as "fossil" Gijinka. Supposed ancestors to an ancient people. But while those Gijinka were all of the Rock type these Gijinka seemed to be rather reptilian. Draconic. At the far end of the table was a throne. And sitting upon the throne was a large and fierce Tyrantrum. Beside them was an Aurorus who was smiling lovingly at them. As the group entered all of the Gijinka in the room turned towards them. "Stand." The Tyrantrum said and the Gijinka at the table moved to their feet. "I see we have invaders. You have interrupted a wonderful feast you know. But I see you're here on a mission. We were told that those such as you would be coming. If you intend to continue your quest then first you must take on the trial of me, the First King of Adarid." The Gijinka at the table moved to the side and, as the Tyrantrum stomped their foot, the table slid into the floor. Then a large, square, arena moved up. With four pillars at each corner connected by ropes. "Enter the combat arena. Only if you defeat my knights shall you be allowed to continue." The first to enter were three Gijinka which resembled what the group would know as an Omastar, Kabutops, and Aerodactyl. Team Mac, Ogren "As tempting as it is to stay here, I can't really do that, at least not now. Maybe after the world is safe," Kazo answered. "Still, do we have to go today?" "See, that's just it! We're gonna save the world we can't be slacking off!" Mac said, grinning from ear to ear. Mac wiped a fake tear from her eye and nodded at Kazo. "I'm so proud of you. You're growing up to be a real hero. I knew following in my footsteps would help you." She frowned a bit knowing that both Ari and Kazo wanted to stay longer but with a mighty sigh she relented. "I guuuuess we can wait until morning." She surrendered, grumbling. They continued the meal, Mac telling stories of the fights she had back in Oasis, and eventually it came time for them to go to sleep. Mac teasing Kazo asking if he was going to sleep in his mom's room and being grumpy about having to share a room with Ari. The next day Mac was bouncing with energy. Running about. Barely able to stand still long enough to get breakfast. In fact she refused to wait much longer after getting the food and ran out of the house with food still in her mouth. Eager to get going. "They might leave if we wait too long!" Team Neo Not Dark, Merm Palace There were many dangerous foes around them. Several powerful Gijinka as well as a large group of hungry Carvanha, known for their savagery, surrounded the group. Yet the most unusual and out of place thing in all of this...Dora wasn't smiling. She was in fact frowning as she looked down at the injured Manaphy who was huddled over Phione. These people weren't very nice. In fact they were the opposite. NOT nice. And there was nothing nice about that at all. The Carvanha were pummeled by Easter's Swift. Had the attack not been so widespread it likely would have done serious damage. As it was they still were injured but not enough to stop them. They all were surrounded by water as they jetted off in five different directions before rushing in towards Easter, using Aqua Jet. The Dragalge snarled as he saw what Denku was doing. But wasn't fast enough to react before the Pupitar slammed into him, hitting him with a powerful Dragon move. They struggled to counterattack with the intense pressure of the savage assault but, tail glowing, the managed to spin and hit Denku in the stomach with a Dragon Tail and throwing him backwards. Taking a breath to recover he then followed it up by launching a Hydro Pump at the Pupitar. With the Dragalge and Carvanha occupied the Cloyster and Huntail took it upon themselves to make a move on Manaphy. The Huntail was unfortunate enough to be the first to charge forward. Jaw wide and ready to crunch into his prey. Instead he got a face full of electricity as Brooke slammed into him and threw him back. With a hiss he crouched down, Coiling, and then sprang forward again. This time with his tail covered in a watery energy. The Cloyster had taken it slower. The reason became obvious as cracks in her shell started appearing and, as part of her shell exploded outward, the Gijinka seemed to get stronger. Grabbing a broken piece of shell they surrounded it with a similar watery energy as their comrade and ran forward. Right into Dora's path. With a smirk they brought the shell down and across Dora's front. Knocking the girl back and injuring her. However she still stayed standing, if swaying a bit, and, with a shout of "No bully!" she released energy and blasted the Cloyster back towards the edge of the bubble by the force of the Counter. Team Karaoke, Alpha Gwendoline was unusually quiet as they got closer and closer to the cave. She watched in silence as Shaymin did her work. Though there was some energy to her silence. She seemed to be eager. Shifting impatiently as the deed was done. While her eyes widened slightly in surprise at the legend's display her main reaction was to move forward. As though she couldn't wait to get into the cave. There was no hint of fear in her eyes. Only anticipation. And determination. Kayla, on the other hand, was watching in amazement. It wasn't her first time seeing a legend's work but it was amazing all the same. She shuddered as she felt the wave of pressure coming from the cave. "I forgot...how scary it is, being here..." The girl appeared beside Shaymin and awkwardly patted her on the arm. "You....did well." She whispered. As the group took a few steps towards the cave Shaymin would suddenly sense a deadly presence and have time to call out a warning before someone appeared. Almost as though stepping through a crack in space he suddenly was standing in front of the cave. An unusually young looking Banette. "My my my. It popped just like that?" He looked back at the cave. "I've been trying to get in there for so long but you come along and a few seconds later...boom. It's so funny. Hahaha. SO FUNNY RIGHT?" He turned back and his eyes were flashing red. The smile on his face had a hungry look to it. A long tongue lolled out of his mouth and slowly licked his lips. "So. Damn. Funny." He growled and stepped towards Shaymin. Then he paused, ran a hand through his hair, and laughed. "Oh that's right. I should introduce myself." He bowed. "I am Raphael. Disciple of Giratina. And I will now tear you all in half and present your corpses to my master." He pointed at Shaymin. "You might be a problem. So why don't we start with those appetizers you brought." Suddenly the scenery around them changed. They were in a graveyard. Multiple, broken, headstones stuck out at odd angles. And a massive blood moon sat high in the sky. The only light in the starless night and cast a reddish glow around the field. The graveyard was surrounded by twisted, gnarled, trees that formed a wall around the dismal scenery. Raphael stood on top of a stone coffin. Smiling wide at the group, tongue hanging down. His body seemed to grow somewhat larger and his hands grew large, pinkish, claws. "You're in my world now. Isn't it beautiful? A fitting place to breath your last." The fight for their lives has begun.
  9. Gabby blushed, realizing that Melissa had already answered her question, or at least in part, the other day. She didn't want her to think Gabriela wasn't listening to her. Though it seemed that her chance to explain, or apologize, or whatever it was she was supposed to do in that situation, passed her by quickly as Melissa moved on to answering her question. "I see. A classic tale. A young knight comes to challenge the local tyrant. In tales this usually involves the knight besting the tyrant. But in this case...I have my doubts. If Hiraku is as good as you say then surely Yushiro will fail." She thought on it some more. She hadn't had much chance to talk with Hiraku but didn't he help her when she was lost earlier? She pondered it for a moment then, "I think I would rather see the tyrant win in this case. He is the only one who really talked...er, that is, he's the one who was able to handle being in the presence of myself! That's a very important trait you know. Many would falter if they were faced with those of the higher class." She smiled at Melissa. "I suppose that puts you on an even higher level in that case." Gabby refocused on the stage where the match was to take place. It shouldn't be long now. She hadn't had much chance to watch duels before. Not like this. And especially not with...a friend.
  10. The Haunting of Zirco While Hotaru slumbered not entirely peacefully Zirco was having a much worse time of it. The thing under his bed recoiled slightly at the light but it didn't vanish. He could hear a sound. Almost like a growl. Coming from under the bed. The claw on the side of his bed clutched at it tighter, digging unnaturally long nails into the bedding as the thing pulled itself up. And the creature pulled itself out from under the bed. And Zirco could see its face. Purple skinned, with no hair, a pair of entirely red and glowing eyes. As well as a disturbingly large mouth so full of such large, sharp, teeth that its lips couldn't cover them. Its lack of nose only served to make the monster look even more unnatural. And a thin, black, tongue flicked from between the thing's teeth. As though tasting the air. Tasting Zirco's fear. It hissed at him and crept closer. Moving slowly. Slowly. As though savoring the moment. The Haunting of Octavia At first Octavia wouldn't notice anything amiss. Perhaps she could hear movement in the direction of the kitchen, the other signers, but there didn't seem to be anything amiss. And then she saw her. At the end of the hallway. Looking back and forth as though lost. A young girl. She didn't seem to notice Octavia even as she made her way towards the girl. Once she got closer Octavia could see that, if she watched, she could see through the girl to the other side of the hallway. Once the girl took note of Octavia she suddenly turned and walked through the wall to the right.
  11. I had to wait till I was on laptop to check cause didn't know if it was different in CC And apparently it is. But only in Singles. It's set to only allow the default tags. I'll check with the others before but I think we can make it open instead and just require to put in certain tags.
  12. We've been almost done for that long because that's how long it's taking. I'll message you and you'll be blown away by how almost done we are.
